We arrived without reservations to try our luck and were pleasantly surprised that it was only about a 20 minute wait. The place was packed. The employees at the door were super nice and attentive and offered to sit us at the bar with our pager. The bartender was fast and efficient and also attentive seeing how busy the place was. We had a drink there and by the time we were done our pager went off and another very nice person came to get us to seat us. The tables was small but comfortable. Our waitress was again very nice and made sure we had what we needed. We started with the bacon wrapped scallops and they were very good. Followed that up with a nice size Caesar salad and bread. We both had the prime rib that was cooked perfect. Here comes the reason for the three stars. Everything was cold. The only hot thing on my plate was the plate. Potatoes were just above room temperature and the prime rib was cool as were the mushrooms. The taste was there but for the price I would have liked the meal to be at least somewhat hot. It was disappointing. The crème brule for dessert was great. The employees they have made the visit worth going, but they need to work on plating and serving the food hot. Overall was a nice night out with friends even if the place was super busy.

Kid-friendliness: There are separate kids menu Food

I rarely have a complaint about anything, however, I couldnt let this one pass. Travelling through and not wanting to have a large meal before the end of the night. We decide to have a nice chicken Ceasars salad but did not see the chicken part on the menu and asked if it could be added. Waitress Milla said sure. This was a $14 salad which I expected an extra charge between 7 - 9$ tops. The bill comes and the chicken was added $18!!!!!! Each not all together. So we paid $32 for a pretty small salad each. Drank only sparking water and 2 sides for $10 each. The bill came to $100. Crazy enough we added a 20% tip as our head were still spinning not realizing what just happened. The place nice, service was good. I would say a head up from the waitress would have been nice. For that price I would have likely ordered fish diner or definitely something other than $32 for a small salad. Next time will be asking about any additional charges ahead of time. Do not go there they disrespected us with cancer and my husband with brain damage. We had two service dogs and we were disrespected when we had received disrespected treatment for our dogs when they had been abused and were treated like trash. Do not go please.

We came in on a Friday night of a hockey tournament. Angel the manager was super helpful in making sure we all got a place to sit and just making it seamless to feed the players and families. The keg is always top notch but this manager made it exceptional. Thank you Sudbury

My second time here. Wont be my last. Ordered my steak rare, and it was perfect. Too many places come back either blue or medium rare. My wife had the blackened chicken. I dont know what was in the sauce, but it was delicious. Sat on the outdoor patio. My only complaint was the idiot with the thrush muffler who decided to gun it just as my FIL was giving the punchline of a joke. Service was excellent from the moment we were greeted as we walked in the door to the goodbye we received as we left. Remember, its a steakhouse. Dont expect to pay Applebees prices. But definitely great value for the money. Nice size portions. If you want your meal to end on a high note, and you still have room, try the Jim Miner pie.

I recently dined here and had a fantastic experience. Ayesha, our server, was outstanding! She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her recommendations were spot on, and she really enhanced our dining experience. The food was also top-notch perfectly cooked, flavorful, and well-presented. Overall, it was a great evening, and Ayeshas excellent service made it even better. Highly recommend dining here.

Had the Prime Rib Sliders and dont think I will be able to have sliders anywhere but here, they were awesome. Perfect late dinner snack.

I brought one of my dealers here for dinner and was the food ever good. Thats one thing I love about The Keg, is their consistency when it comes to the food they serve. I can get the same great food whether Im entertaining in Saskatoon or Halifax. I had the Sirloin Oscar with mashed potatoes. Dietary restrictions: The Keg is very accommodating to my wife as she has allergies to foods with Gluten and Dairy.

We know the Montreal Keg for years. Our first experience at this Sudbury Keg was incredible. It was a great choice for our anniversary. Our appetizers were a lobster bisque and escargot/mushroom plate. Delicious, but normal for upscale restaurants. I had the medium rare rib steak with garlic mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, and button mushrooms. Extraordinary and the steak melted in my mouth. My wife had a blue sirloin steak with lobster side. Her meal came from the kitchen in perfect temperature. Smiles and silence. Dessert was huge and delicious (see photo). It really is that big! Our waitress was Megan. She listened to our requests and everything came out perfectly. All the staff seemed to back each other up and service was great. The meal lasted over an hour and a half. The memories will continue for a long time. Dietary restrictions: My wife had a couple of food allergies that the waitress made note of. The manger confirmed with the kitchen that everything was okay before plates arrived at our table.

Just amazing!

Ive been going to the Keg for well over 30 years. This is the first time I was actually disappointed. I go to the Keg for my Teriyaki sirloin. This time however, my steak lacked that one and only keg Teriyaki taste. Either it was not marinated or it was under-marinated but it left me unsatisfied. Also, I had ordered a fully loaded baked and was brought a twice baked potato which they swapped - 6 minutes later. Also, my butter for the lobster tail got cold quickly because the candle wouldnt stay lit. I may sound like a whiner here but when I pay $150 for a meal, I do have expectations as a faithful 30 year customer but I was disappointed. The staff was excellent as usual though so nothing against any of them. I just hope my next Keg visit will restore my faith as a long time customer.

First time to go to the keg with 2 couples and it was well worth it. The food was perfectly prepared and our server (wish I could remember his name) was on the ball all night. The food was quick to come out and even the one hiccup of a forgotten side was dealt with so quickly and made right without even asking. The service was just as good when we came in until we left when it wqs packed. Look forward to coming here again.

The Keg never disappoints me, no matter which location I visit. Service was awesome, food was great, a little slow coming out of the kitchen that day but no big deal. Good times!

It s never ever a bad experience at the Keg, we popped in for a quick drink and snack at the bar tonight and Tom was and always is phenomenal. His drinks are top notch, he works quickly and the orders are always accurate. Tim is also extremely knowledgeable and personable.

Always a great steak or prime rib and great service. Evelyn and her staff always make you feel welcome and I always want to go back.

Quites expensive but worth it. The staff that attended to my family was great in her service.

We absolutely loved our meal! We had the prime rib with garlic mashed. It came with a starter ceasar salad and warm complimentary bread. We finished with their amazing ice cream cake for dessert! The service was top notch and food was excellent! The only bad thing I can really say is that the dining room was a bit small with no windows. We might try the lounge side next time. It was less crowded and had windows. Its a little pricey, but it is a steakhouse and the food is consistently very good.

We go to the keg often and the last experience was absolutely brutal and painful. My steak wasnt what I had ordered, it came back over cooked, veggies were cold , Creme Brule was servered with a soup spoon, bills were added to a different order and lets talk about that play list.....so disappointed.

Food is top notch except too few vegetarian options. The spicy brocoli appetizer is very good despite being a bit too salty. The service is attentive and excellent. The ambience is too dim and dark not as kid friendly.

First time there. I was pleasantly surprised. Friendly. The service was impeccable. The steaks were perfectly done. I loved the pie.

Staff was great. Truthfully our food was mid range quality though for the price. My twice baked potato was practically burnt, and lobster somewhat overdone. Steak was just alright- would hope for better when its a steakhouse. The manager was also great. What we originally ordered for desserts was not available so she personally came to apologize and offered our dessert to be on the house. We got the billy miners pie, which we could not recommend more than enough - if you have a sweet tooth its great. All in all we had a great experience in itself, was just a little disappointed in the food. *****Ended up getting food poisoning afterwards. When speaking to a couple people I know who have also eaten at this location some also said they got it as well on multiple occasions whenever getting the lobster so not sure whats up with that. Kid-friendliness: My son was welcome and treated with respect by staff just as any other customer. He was also offered some crayons and an activity page for some light entertainment as well as a snack plate during the wait for his food.

I usually dine out for the company, food, and service, but only write reviews when the service is exceptional, as it was this past February 16th. Right from the start, the warm greeting set a fantastic tone for the evening. Our server, Chris, exemplified top-tier customer service with his welcoming body language, pleasant demeanor, and attentive service like how he intuitively kept checking in with us and our drinks filled throughout our meal. Furthermore, I was particularly impressed when Terrence, a manager who we later learned was quite hands-on, personally cleared our table. This level of involvement from management is rare and did not go unnoticed. In conclusion, it is team members like Chris and Terrence that elevate a dining experience from satisfactory to remarkable. We do not frequent The Keg often as the closest Keg is 2.4 hours away. This is the third time we have frequented the Sudbury location and have had an excellent experience. This evening was no exception. We were met by the hostess and she found a great spot for us (by a fire place f or warmth for me). Emily was our server and treated us so well...she helped us with the menu, our drinks and was amazing. Emily was very knowledgeable about the menu, helped us with our picks and wine choice. We ordered and began enjoying our choice of wine. It was very quick when the manager Terrance who showed up and made sure that we were looked after by our server. I was impressed that there was follow up so quickly after we were seated. Terrance came a few times to check up on us to make sure we were OK, little did he know that Emily was on top of her game. Emily was attentive and always making sure we were happy with our meal and offering us choices on what she recommended. Our food was served quickly, warm and with a happy cheerful attitude. She ROCKED as our server as she was happy, pleasant and made sure our stay was a good one. Our food was great, our service was AMAZING!!! We asked to chat with the manager and spoke with Matt. We gave our raving feedback, and hope he relayed our great experience to the staff..... All in all, excellent service! That is key! Food was exceptional as always with the Keg. Food was nothing spectacular compared to years ago...equal to many lower grade restaurants.

Our Appentizers,drinks and entres were just done to perfection. We had our infant with us and they accomodated him above and beyond. Just delightful. Highly recommend. Bacon wrapped Filet was delicious. Rice in the mushroom rice was undercooked but otherwise quite tasty. Music too loud. Lighting could be a bit brighter. Servers were excellent.

My friend and I met for dinner here after not seeing each other for 2 years, if not longer due to the pandemic. We always have a good meal, great service, and an awesome experience. Thanks for being excellent!

I am not quite a meat eater and did not have many vegetarian options. Was disappointed with my cauliflower mains. The dessert was a good serve though. We were a group of 8 and they asked us to leave for another reservation in nearly 80-90 mins of being seated. I personally did not like that very well.

Best food and times , Ive had in two years and Covid safety is number one upon entrance to dining room in this place.

We had our anniversary dinner there last night and I have to say I have never had such an amazing dinner in a very long time. The food was amazing from start to finish and our server was so friendly and efficient. We highly recommend The Keg! 5 stars for sure!

Came in on a busy night into the lounge as it was after dinning room hours. We were well served and the meal we chose was perfect. Our steak and salmon was cooked perfectly. The Keg is our go-to when we want a dinner we can count on.

Tried to purchase a bottle of wine over the phone for friends dining at the Keg tonight Told had to purchase a gift card on line and email it to the manager Never heard of such nonsense...not to mention Im not technically savvy By the time my friends got the bottle of wine....well.. it would be for breakfast Very disappointed and annoyed....other establishments far more accommodating!

Came for an anniversary supper at early supper time on a Friday night and we both had steak- different cuts. They were both chewy as bubble gum. SO chewy that we didnt even finish our steaks- and not because we were full! The fries and garlic mashed potatoes were good. We sat on the patio and there was only 1 other couple and the server never even asked if we wanted a refill for our drinks. If you want good potatoes this restaurant might be a good option. If you want good steak or service try another place in town!

We were celebrating my husband retirement last Sunday. We were 4 adults and looking forward to a great meal. We chose the Keg. The service was excellent but the food was disappointing. All for of us received our meal cold. We did not want to complain about how the food was cold but when my sister in law couldnt eat the steak as it was tough and chewing she did speak out. At this point they made another steak for her which was much more tender. This should not happen at a fine restaurant. All our meals should of been served hot and the steak should of been tender. It put a damper on our celebration. I think we will think twice to eat there again. Again we always like the Keg but food was disappointing. I took the time to respond to the msg below- not even the courtesy to acknowledge my email!

Every morsel was incredibly perfect.

I toke my wife there for our 14th anniversary dinner it was the first time she had been there ever and I hadnt been in to a Keg in over 14 years, the service was amazing the food was absolutely fantastic most definitely will be back again. Parking: Great location, lots of parking

We came for our annual girls trip. All 6 of us had excellent meals and the dirty gin Martin with blue cheese olives was to die for. Tim our server was excellent and took very good care of us! Dietary restrictions: One in our party has severe nut and shell fish allergies and they are very careful to cook her meal separately and take her allergies very seriously!

I was convinced the keg was overrated after trying other Steakhouses because I hadnt gone in so long. I went for my birthday on Tuesday night and I was reminded of how wrong I was. I was in awe as my Kansas seasonal special was melting in my mouth. The food was amazing, the service from milla my server was also amazing, great drink, food, and dessert suggestions (which I had all of). Id advise everyone to go back and remind yourself of how good the keg really is.
