Excellent meal , really enjoyed it

Had my 18th here, it was great! Food was so delicious, atmosphere was great and the staff were so nice.

Great all around place. Reasonably prices. I have tried most of the menu and I havent been disappointed once. A very special place. If only I lived closer I think Id be 4 stone heavier

Brilliant little place. The food was brilliant and we could share it, which was even better. The atmosphere was alive and full of energy. Service was great. Highly recommend.

The most beautiful experience. Having eaten all over the UK I have to say that hands down this place is an absolute gem. If you want a restaurant that not only serves fab food but uses local produce then this is the place. The staff (especially Robbi) are top tier, the atmosphere is as good as it gets and the food is 10/10. Don t sleep on Pals. A must for foodies

This is a GEM we had an amazing time, we shared 7 tapas and they were super delicious, kudos to chef Jordan and a big thank you to Lewis who was so kind and had such a positive vibe so we will be back for sure

What an awesome hidden gem! Brill service, brill menu. Finally something different. All food is locally sourced with no wild carbon print too! Would definitely recommend :)

Unfortunately the food was no good, most of it was black, chicken breasts spare ribs even the vegetables. My response has been equated by the four of us who attended your, we all felt the same review was necessary.

Very nice for lunch - we had the daytime lunch special which was very good value and well cooked and presented. Cocktails looked great for evening.

It was OK, nothing more nothing less but unlikely wed return. The lady who was working was friendly, helpful and attentive but the food was lack lustre. Had higher expectations for the BBQ chicken flatbread, imagined (based on previous food served elsewhere as a flatbread) it would be a pizza style offering, with succulent chunks of chicken, marinated or drizzled in a generous amount of BBQ sauce and a generous serving of sour cream, instead we got 2 pieces of fried chicken that had seen better days, a zig zag portion over the plate of BBQ sauce and a small sized dish of sour cream each, the parmesan and truffle fries were underwhelming also, theyre more like wedges, would have been better if they were more crispy and lacked the parmesan and truffle which was unnoticeable. Had far better elsewhere.

Great food, atmosphere and service.

Lunch on Christmas Eve. Made special . Not only was the food excellent but the serice was impeccable and friendly. we had a wheelchair user and a person lactose intolerant in the party. Not a problem. Highly recommended. Will certainly go again Dietary restrictions: Lactose intolerance. All dishes explained.

A very nice place located in a beautiful street. Food definitely 10/10. I recommend it to anyone who wants to eat something different than all the places in town. ;)

Wow if you havent tried it well worth a visit especially if you like Tapas, have been twice now and havent been disappointed. Liz and staff take a bow along with Abbys now spoilt for choice.

This place is amazing, service superb, staff lovely and for change in my opinion they care. Nothing is too much trouble. Oh and by the way, food is amazing, cocktail shaker is working the bar like he is at the gym, all the staff look happy and enjoying their job, most of all the management is great too as are all staff look like they are loving what they are doing making their customers happy and enjoying their time.....am coming back for sure loved it... thanks guys

My mum and I visited PAL for us to celebrate both our birthdays and had an amazing time. Im currently living away from home and on my flying visit I suggested PAL as I had a great experience when I first visited with a friend. The cocktail and small plates menu is inventive and delicious showcasing their aim for sustainability and local produce, which we are very interested in. For Drinks we both started with a Negroni and continued with a Mammy and a E M P? (or e n p) for food we shared, Parmasan & Truffle chips, caulliflower wings, haddock goujons, feta cheesecake and mushroom on pita (I cant remember the name). The atmosephere is calm, the decor is modern and the staff are welcoming and friendly! I would highly reccomend visiting PAL to anyone who wants to taste fantastic food and cocktails and to see local produce showcased!

First time visit for my wife and I, vibrant atmosphere, great food and attentive staff. Worth a visit if you are looking for a great couples date night venue.

Such an amazing place to have in Grimsby!! The best place i ve eaten here - food and drinks were absolutely great and customer service was class. Has a nice city ish vibe too and is in lovely location down Abbeygate. You ve got to go!!

Great food and friendly, helpful staff. Excellent service at a reasonable price with a good selection of fish, meat and vegetarian options available.

Edit: Have been here two more times since my original review and things are still top notch. Theres the occasional dish that slightly misses but everything else I have ordered has been absolutely amazing. High marks on things like the meatballs, hand pies, crab soufflé, pig & prawns, flatbreads and more. I cannot recommend this place more. The place is still cozy, the staff incredible accommodating and helpful. Love it. -------------------------------------------- Picked here for a birthday meal and wanting to try something new and was quite happy with here. The food for the most part was packed full of flavour. Some great chicken and fish dishes, sauces that felt rich. Only downsisdes being one of the dishes that came quite late in comparison to the rest which made things a little bit awkward. Also some menu items do sell out fast so youre probably better off getting in early for the dinner menu. I would still definitely come again as the menu changes often and I certainly want to try more.

It wasnt for me 6 of us having to share food of one plate having to keep passing it all round all food had a strange taste to it but it was realy busy no atmosphere i wouldnt go again and very expensive

We visited today for lunch, managed to get some seats outside. There was a really chilled vibe and a good amount of options on the menu, we went for the sandwich and flatbread options which included a drink, then ordered the peppered fries and Parmazan fries on the side. The pork sandwich was beautiful of different flavours, the service was great and the prices too we was served by the American girl (sorry forgot your name). Definitely be back again

Review from 14/9/23 Booked a table for 2 for my wifes birthday, never been there before but had heard good things. From walking in I absolutely loved it. The place had a relaxed feeling to it and the music was a mixture of exactly what we both liked. The decor was simple but with the music and the bar area it worked really well. We were greated by Ewa who was behind the bar, great guy who couldnt have been more helpful. We had drinks at the Bar and felt very welcome. Cocktails were incredible, the draught beer was awesome and later, their single malt Whiskey was amazing and not to be found anywhere else. The jars behind the bar are a great idea to save waste with pickled items and vinegars in them from the kitchen. The food came out in a very reasonable time after ordering and was very tasty, in particular the mongolian meatballs. Incredible and not to be missed. Best I have ever eaten. The king prawns were also beautiful as were the roasted Carrots. Service was great all night and attentive. The only feedback I gave was in relation to the crispy chicken thighs. I love crispy thighs but they must have a crispy outer. They tasted good just lacked the crisp I love. Other than that, which is just my own personal opinion, everything else was perfect for a special night. I hope more people visit, its definitely worth it. Thankyou all for the food and service. Fantastic works Christmas do, the food was delicious and the atmosphere is cosy yet feels more upper class. Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to make some gorgeous mocktails off menu for us.

Loved the decor. Staff friendly. Some tapas plates for example, chicken skewers and king prawns, hot, good portion size and tasty. Others not so good, flat breads, which are cheap and easy to make were hard and about 6 bits the size of a Dorito, poor value. Cold duck salad also doesn t work. Would still go again and order only one or two plates at a time.

Three of us had a lovely lunch here. Staff were great, friendly and helpful. The food was beautiful. Will definitely be back soon.

New little gem! Just what Grimsby needs! Atmosphere was nice, everything super clean! Awesome cocktails and loved the tapas style dishes, and the fact they change every week so you will always find something different to try on the menu. All reasonably priced for the area, and tasty, fresh, quality food. Will definitely be going back and will recommend to anyone who fancies something a little different to try.

What an amazing experience, the place is stunning, the staff very welcoming, and the playlist was great, we went for lunch and I must say the price and service was perfect the food was a good potion and very tasty, I had the BBQ chicken with flatbread, will definitely go again.

Hidden jem in Abbeygate.. Great Tapas style food, at a reasonable price the menu is varied and updated regularly great for a quite lunchtime meal..a pity the town doesnt have more venues like this.. Highly recommend give it a try its well worth a visit
