Had the stuffed Yorkie with fries. Should have been served with mashed potatoes. The roast beef was dry. Ate half of it. My friend ordered the banquet burger and sweetpotato fries It was okay. Place is down by the water. They are selling mint chocolate girl guide cookies for $6.00

Food was excellent, except my stuffed Yorkie was cold and damp. Obviously pre cooked and frozen. The hot top half was excellent, and the large portion meant I was taking half home anyway, it was great microwaved the next day. Prices would good for the value. 50-60 bux for a couple without alcohol. Sadly they serve Pepsi, do with that what you will. Parking: The parking lot is shared with a boat launch. At the wrong time of year parking might be impossible.

Stopped here for brunch, had the hungry man breakfast (minus the waffle/pancake). Food and coffee was hot, cooked perfectly. Sat on patio, nice view of the Harbour and surrounding homes. Our server, Valene, was friendly, attentive and quick to assist! A future must-stop for me travelling to or from the Niagara area!

Been to JJs on many occasions but on Sunday July 21st the food was a big fail. Sweet Potato Fries were served barely warm, the yorkshire pudding was undercooked and rubbery and the quesadilla was dry with very little cheese or flavour. The Roast Beef was just OK. Our server tried to make it right by offering free desert and she even brought hot fries and a replacement yorkshire but by then we were done and just wanted to leave. Not sure if the kitchen staff are new but wont be back!

My husband and I took a drive away from home and what an amazing little gem we found ! We love it .

We spent $150 on lunch for five people (seniors). We purchased a full pie for $20 at the end so we could take some home. We were refused plates and told we couldnt eat the pie in the restaurant. Disappointing owner customer service skills. Ruined the experience entirely. We will not be back.

Great ambiance and food but my god we dined inside and it was a constant battle against the flys. Also one of our plates arrived with a fruit fly running around the mashed potatoes, waitress just laughed.

There were more house flies and fruit flies inside than outside. Trying to navigate the consumption of my French toast while attempting to ensure I wasnt going to eat a fly by accident took away from an enjoyable breakfast. Time to call a pest control service JJ

Very nice to sit outside by the water on a summer day. They have the best sweet potato fries I have had in a long time. Cooked perfectly crispy!!!! Nice atmosphere & service was pretty good. Did not wait too long for our orders. Will be going back. Comfortable setting & not noisy

The service was absolutely first class, helpful, polite and efficient. The food however.....We had fish n chips, liver and chicken parmesan was mediocre. We have been before and experienced superior quality dining. My fish was overly dry (I did mention this to our waitress), my wifes liver not the best, similar on the chicken parmesan. I hope my comments are helpful and perhaps this was a one off as we really like JJs...just up the quality please (I would rather pay a few bucks more if thats what it takes....) Pretty good. Food arrived quickly once we were seated. Home fries were delish. Sunny side up egg was too watery/undercooked for my liking. Coconut Cream pie was freaking delicious. Waitresses were pleasant, fast and non-invasive. Would go back.

My brother and his family live in Grimsby and we always try to meet at JJ s for great food. They were very busy today yet handled customers efficiently both inside and on the outdoor patio. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is impeccably clean. All of our meals were exceptional in taste, value and presentation. I highly recommend you try JJ s. We have lots of restaurants here in Oakville however this place is worth the drive if you are visiting the Niagara region.

Beautiful location

I went for the first time in a few years and the food has really gone downhill. The fries are different from before, same ones you get at Costco, Teddys and pretty much all over. My husband wanted to go because he remembered from years ago the fries were good. Not anymore. I had a Caesar salad that was probably the worst Caesar salad Ive had in my life. I was actually surprised you can make one that bad. I never do this, but the waitress asked me if I was taking it with me ....because it was barely touched, and I actually admitted I didnt like it and that I wouldnt be taking it. Not usual for me to do. My daughter got the kids macaroni and cheese and good thing she isnt a big eater because the portion was about 5 tablespoons. Overall, all the portions were small. The best thing served to us was the chocolate Milk.

It is a very comfortable place to dine. Their homemade salad dressing is one of a kind, Delicious!

Not much of a water atmosphere. I mean sure they have the picture of the water on their wall and nautical decor. But feels a bit pushed into a corner for seating and not anything to rave about. Was hoping it was going to be more of a window scene with the water.. breakfast was also expensive. 2 people 2 breakfast specials 40$ and nothing special. Breakfast special is only served till 10am Would rather go to barangas on the beach for the extra drive.

A lovely restaurant on the water. Had 2 breakfast specials. Good hot food, great coffee. Servers were very attentive. Definitely recommend.

Just had a late breakfast/early lunch at JJs. Food was excellent and service was great. Being its mothers day they were extremely busy yet still provided great service! We had a small issue with one of our meals and our server Val was quick to rectify it. The meal was taken off the check and she also provided us with a gift certificate! We will definitely be back and highly recommend JJs to anyone looking for a place to dine in Grimsby. Thanks again Val for the great service!

We were only there for coffee, but the food that came out looked very tasty. The restaurant was very busy.

Food was good,service was friendly but u couldnt screw up worse on an order for2 then got charged for add one instead of a discount for the pethic mix up on two simple orders,then exiting was blocked in by a boat...never again b/b

Update: First time we visited we had a lovely experience from the staff and that s they only reason this place is getting any stars from me. However, our second visit was so unpleasant! The service was less than subpar and my party ended up leaving upset. Our food was not fully cooked and half raw. We asked for a resolution but the manager watched and waited until we finished eating (roughly 45minutes after the initial conversation) to then say sorry can t do anything because you ate the food.

I just had the most amazing tomahawk pork chop at JJs, absolutely delicious!

We had a great experience this Good Friday! We came as a party of 5 with my 94 year old Mother in a wheelchair. We were accommodated in the back room which felt nice and cozy. Our meals were tasty and came in good time considering the place was quite busy. We will definitely be back!

A bit of a disappointment. Thought we would be viewing the marina, not a parking lot. To say this place is dockside is twisting the truth a bit. Its close to visiting the Painted Ladies, (Look this up) so that was good. Food was okay, nothing special, but we didnt get to try the homemade pies, the service was good.

We came here specifically for two coconut cream pies to pick up for my Grandma we ended up staying to eat. We ordered the 2 piece fish and chips and my mama ordered the 8oz steak. I personally liked my meal but my mother said to me that the way I cook steak is much better and the one she ate had no seasoning on it at all. I will say it was cooked to the proper medium rare I will give credit for that. The vegetables were very bland as well I would suggest at least sauteeing in garlic butter, adding pepper or steaming with different herbs. Our server was phenomenal I believe her name was Ali but I lost the receipt so I could be wrong we came in on February 16th around 7pm sat by a booth near the bar. She was the only serving working with a hostess or a training server. She was very attentive and just an amazing conversationalist, you can tell she enjoys working for JJ and spoke very highly of the owners and what an amazing establishment theyve built. We would definitely return maybe make a different selection for my mom.

I had the quesadilla and my partner had the club sandwich. Both were delicious. We bought a coconut cream pie to take home too. It was excellent !!!!! Highly recommend. All the food tasted so fresh. The server was pleasant but didn t check on us until we were done eating. Understandable as was the only one in front of house and it was quite busy.

Since jjs has come into business in Grimsby it has always been great and Ive always suggested folks go here. But as of the last 2 weeks Ive never been so disappointed. Last Monday they were closed although hours of operation said they were open and no message was left on there answering machine. Then this week I ordered chicken strips and fries for takeout( which I repeated 3 times on the phone) and I get home and I have some sort of chicken wrap in my box. Very frustrating when you just want a quick meal from a place youve trusted for a while

I am new to this area and have enjoyed the fish and chips on a couple of occasions as well as their breakfast. The atmosphere is very nice and the service has been excellent. I have been served by three different people and they all did a fantastic job.

Food is really good! I just wish that I got more sweet potato fries for the extra $2.50 I paid to upgrade from regular fries, other than that all was good!

I really like this spot. Good food, good service, nice staff and right by the water.

Food came cold. They happily brought me a new breakfast very quickly which tasted good. Waitress was friendly but it took a long time for my first coffee refill and she was trying to clear the tabke while I was clearly still chewing and had food remaining on my plate. I just said I was done, we paid and left. Washrooms are outside the restaurant and you need to take a key for the single unisex washroom. My husband liked his breakfast poutine and it came piping hot. Overall, just average. Parking was atrocious as there are various storage items sitting in the lot. I wouldnt go back again myself. I wasnt wowed which I should be for the price of eating out anymore.

Great food, service and price

Liked the food but found the restaurant a little outdated. The wine was extremely overpriced. Not sure if Id go back or not. One thing I did forget was that the service was excellent and the lady who looked after us was very personable.

Went there for brunch with my dad and son Nice location. Ordered an omelette. Showed up at the table...server said this might be wrong. It was. I ate it anyways as I did not want to hold up the rest of the table. Mentioned it to server when she finally showed up, who gave me attitude about not saying anything earlier. I didnt have the chance to. Do not recommend if you want to get the food you actually order. Customer service needs work.

Great day with lots of sun. There were 4 of us meeting for lunch. We had never met together like this before. We got to know each other a little better and had fun. Becon & eggs, sunny side up, for lunch. The server was very attentive. Nothing like it.

They have a real problem with flies in the dining room. We were sitting at dinner and swatting at flies.

Not too expensive

The location was very nice, we were greeted by the Staff who were all very pleasant & they took us out to the small but nice patio. A few people around us & 2 of us had difficulty getting our too high chairs close to the table & also needed help getting down when finished! I think that they should assess their customers heights, physical ability & ages before taking them to these taller chairs, when they see someone using a cane then they should automatically be taken to a regular chair & table! I ordered a Stuffed Yorkie, it sounded & looked delicious, was quite disappointed because it wasnt warm & the Yorkshire Pudding was a little overcooked almost burnt, I shouldve had it reheated, I did take it home, reheated it but couldnt eat any of the outside of the over cooked Yorkshire Pudding. My friends ordered coffee which was cold so they had to have fresh hot coffee brought to them the Staff were very pleasant & quickly corrected the coffee orders. I would consider returning but will order something else. Maybe I shouldve returned my meal, it was too bad as the ingredients are ones that I normally love. I think its worth a try just be aware of the high stools/chairs, Ive heard that their pies are really delicious but for health reasons I didnt order a piece.

Was a bit crowded but understandably so as it was a lovely sunny weekend. The place is amazing, food is great, service is quick and courteous and surprising the food is quite budget friendly. Definitely recommended.

Worst roast beef dinner I ve ever been served. Very tough meat. Very thin sliced like from a processed sandwich meat. The Yorkshire was very good. I should have refused it but I didn t want to embarrass my friends.

The best fries

Am a regular here. Visit often. All the food and service is amazing. Highly recommend. Especially the prime rib dinner on weekends. Fish & Chips are also great. Also have a great breakfast menu.

We love JJ s. We moved to Grimsby in the summer time and JJ s has become our breakfast go-to. The service is amazing - we love all the servers but one of them really goes the extra mile! The owner makes an effort to come say hello every time which is a nice touch. Such a warm local spot near the water. Kid-friendliness: The servers are very accommodating with making sure our son has everything he needs. High chair and booster seat are always available.

Do me a favour if you are in the area, have a slice of Coconut Cream Pie 10/10!
