Ordered a take away, as we ve done many times from Fan, on 2.2.23. Before it s been good. Occasionally brilliant. This week it was horrific and we had to throw the mains in the bin. I know meat occasionally has fat on it but every single bit of meat in both our mains was entirely gristle and tubing? Great big chunks of veins or something. Completely inedible. Chips and rice were fine and the dog quite liked the prawn crackers.

Can t fault the price or the food or the service, about my 5th time tonight and food is amazing so much choice beer was good too

We dined here and the food was excellent..but since early march...its been closed can anyone day whether its closed for good please? Kid-friendliness: Plenty of catering for children

Friendly staff, food is good for the price, what you can ask more, it is all you can eat and I agree with their policy, if you return more than 300g of food to be charged 3£, someone in the kitchen is making an effort in preparing your food, dont like it? Eat it anyway (as sigh of appreciation) portions are not big so if you end up ordering something you dont like, you can also share with your friends to make it easier or person you go with, so far I did eat today for the first time, and everything seem to be alright. Been impressed today by one member of the staff after paying, she gave me a present(candys)and a Merry Christmas card for me and my sister, felt like returning the favour as its Christmas time, so yeah... more than Ive expected, from me today 5 Stars!, Fans team, Well done for the good service you offered me! Shocking place, dirty and slippery floors, staff were idiots and couldnt get orders right

Very tired and out dated inside food was brought out in dribbs and drabbs all over the place got rice and noddles 15 mins after curry had to ask staff for drinks twice even tho 3 empty glasses was easy to see wasnt busy.

Me and my partner came here for the first time last night and we had a great time. The food was delicious and we loved trying new things. £13.99 for all you can eat is amazing especially with how nice the food is. We have recommended to all family and friends and we re already planning our next visit.

This is the second time we have been the first time we really enjoyed the food and the service was excellent, this time the service was unacceptable, not just for us but a table behind us. The table behind us had all finished their meal and was still waiting for one persons food, requested the missing food and twenty minutes later requested it again. We got all our ordered starters roughly at the same time but when it came to our mains,one dish came out then 5mins later a side and a main dish,ten minutes later another main then ten minutes after that our final side, I asked to speak to the manager when the final side was delivered, the staff could see we had eaten the rest of the food, when the manager came he told us he had lots of other orders that needed cooking, surely you complete each order together, not part of one persons order then start another persons. Organisation skills seem to be lacking! I hope things improve as the food is nice, and would be a reasonably priced meal if you got all your meal together.

Took family there on Saturday I have never tasted a Chinese as nice as what we got there. Service was bang on food lovely will definitely be going back thank you for your hospitality always ensuring every table had what they needed

We booked a table for 8 pm. First impressions of the place was really scruffy we got shown to our seats, the table had a dirty sticky plastic vinyl table cloth on, eventually after approx 10 minutes they came to wipe it! We had no clue it was eat all you like buffet (as there was no buffet to be seen anywhere) and nobody explained or offered to tell us the procedure on ordering So we ordered the duck and pancakes for a starter and our main meal. They all arrived at the same time! Bit strange, as usually you have your starter and then they serve your main otherwise its sat there getting cold. We politely asked if they could bring our main meal out after we had eaten our starters. Over an hour later we still hadnt had anyone come to us not even to clear the dirty plates away. After a very lengthy wait we decided to give up. We went to pay for what we had had (our drinks and starters) No apologies were given and to add insult to injury they tried to charge us for the food that we hadnt even had. Upon leaving we noticed a member of staff filling his car up with take away deliveries (so theyre obviously far too busy dealing with those as a priority and not looking after their customers in the restaurant. A visit to the toilet was gross, they were filthy, it looked like they had never been cleaned for months! Not sure how theyve passed their hygiene inspection?! Overall a terrible experience.... sadly we wont be returning

Rang up and asked to book a table , was told loads of tables spare so its not necessary. Once weve arrived a tall blonde man with a pony tail told us theres no chance and that no one would of told us that theres no need to book. Hes the sole reason Im leaving this review , poor customer service. Otherwise the food has been great on previous visits.

Absolutely fantastic food. The prawns dipped in sweet chilli sauce are divine. I was that full when I left that I struggled to get on top of our lass. She was not happy I repeat not happy.

First time weve been as wanted somewhere new to try and it came greatly recommended by friends. The two lads were very reserved and polite and it was a great way to try new foods weve not tried before and all the food was top notch, great portion sizes to boot would definitely come back and spread the word to others.

So ordered from here Saturday on just eat soon as I put order in I rang immediately telling them please no onions and peppers in order as Id forgot to put so on just eat ,so literally I rang the restaurant no more than 2 mins later to be told your order Is ready so we cant do that which I found suspicious saying it was ready 5 mins later on a busy Saturday the order arrives about 20 mins later which again I found so quick for a Saturday at this point red flags are well amd truly there ,so the chicken tasted very dodgy I couldnt even eat it was disgusting,no way was this fresh at all ,previously iv swore by this Chinese its been amazing bare in mind ,so that night and next day me and other adult are in agony with bad stomachs was absolutely awful ,I didnt call up at the time cos Im Im tired Mum and just left it but wish Id said more at the time I really do ,il never ne ordering again and would tell anyone else to stay away unless you fancy being ill ?

Classy version of the buffet Chinese Only one warning, it is cash only but the shop across the road has a cash machine. Apart from that he room is pleasant and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful. You pay a single price for your all-you-can-eat buffet but instead of a long queue past a row of warming dishes, you sit at the table and take your pick fromthe menu. A waitress will take your order The meal will be brought when it is ready and when you have finished you can order something else until you have had enough. The food is good quality. My favourite dishes were the Starter BBQ ribs in Peking sauce, the chicken curry, the Dim Sung home made grill dumplings (served in a bamboo steamer) and a sweet Custard dim sung as a desert. All served with my choice of rice. I was too full to have anything else and there was a huge choice

WE attended Fan restaurant with friends on 9th December 2022 on walking in we where the only customers as time went on it did begin to get a few more, but we commented how cold it was even the staff said it is very cold .we where going to leave but didnt think we would get in anywhere else at short notice so stuck it out, every customer who entered was complaining how cold and sat with coats on some with scarves so bad for a restaurant that you go out to eat and want to enjoy, so sad really because the food is lovely would have rated 5 if was warmer and manager actually cared how cold her restaurant is. Apparently this is the normal for this place such a shame but will not recommend or be returning.

We ate at fan on Wednesday 4th august 2021 and when we arrived there was a nice atmosphere and the place was busy but worryingly out of all the tables, there was only one table eating! With it being an all you can eat buffet, u would expect the food to be leaving the kitchen every few minutes! We asked what size the bottles of ciders where, at £4.30, we wanted to make sure it was a fair size! The waiter didn t know what cider was never mind the size of the bottles! Anyway, we proceeded to order the drinks! We then ordered the food, around 6 small starter dishes for the table to share! The waiter was scribbling down the order on the smallest order pad I ve ever seen and when I politely asked him why he doesn t just write the number of the selected meals down with how many portions we wanted, he replied that the chefs were not English and they didn t understand the numbers! This sounded crazy but ha ho that s the way they have been told to take orders! I personally felt it would have saved a lot of time and been far easier for the kitchen to understand. Whilst waiting for our order to come we watched the 2 large round tables behind us leave half way through their meal which was around 8 people, after receiving parts of their order and the wrong food after a long time! We then received the spring rolls, we waited 5 minutes and it became clear that the other 5 dishes where still being prepared! No problem, we ate the spring rolls, after another 10 minutes 1 more dish arrived, and we then ordered a couple more dishes expecting them to be processed at some point but we were pre-empting the wait! I would say there was around 45 mins to an hour between our first dish coming out and the last one even though it was on the same order! We arrived at 7.30 and this was around 8.30. We ordered main courses of lamb rice, Singapore rice noodles, and the teriyaki chicken skewers! The rice arrived at 9.25, the skewers at 9.35, and the rice noodles never came. We left at 10pm, although the food I have to say was very nice, it was a grilling 2.5 hours which should have been around an hour or just over. The organisation was shocking! We eventually cancelled the rice noodles around 9.50pm with the waitress who never went through to the kitchen to pass the message on, probably because of the grief she had received throughout the evening from other customers as she was in tears and hiding in the corner, the poor girl! We then wanted to pay by card where we was told it was cash only or we could stand around the bar area and do a bank transfer! Absolute crazy and a shame because this restaurant could do very well with a little tweaking and a bit more organisation! We will give it another go because the food was nice but it won t be for another 3-4 months, and I anticipate that when we do go midweek again, there will be so many people that have left unhappy that we may have the place to ourselves or it will definitely be quieter!

Bad customer service! On holiday thought we would try here. Tried to call the mobile , text , messaged on Facebook to book a table called , no reply, walked 10 minutes to it, went in asked for a table of 8, we were asked if we had booked to which we replied, weve tried, told we could have a table in 2 hours, the place was pretty empty as Sunday at 6pm. Dont understand why you would turn away paying custom. Went elsewhere. Walked away very Disappointed.

what a great night last night helping celebrate my brother and his wifes wedding anniversary. Anyone who has not been to Fan yet, you need to get there. The food is the best I have ever tasted, the taste of the food is so fresh. The temperature of the food well all I can say it took me 30 minutes to eat a bowl of beef Thai green curry. Everything was piping hot. The quantity of food you get is enormous. Even my brother said there are no small portions here. We will be returning very soon. 120 pound in all it cost for 7 of us with lots of drink. I dont know how they do it for the price. Great great night.

Lovely staff and the food is excellent. Down side is any waste is weighed and charged at £3 a pound, which is fine, but for a an all you can eat buffet menu, it means you cant try foods because if you dont like them and leave them its added to your bill. Such a shame as its a good place to eat.

Probably best enjoyed in a large group as you can annoy everyone by dipping into their food when it comes to the table. Best part was when one person thought they were eating chicken, but then they were eating someones tofu meal

Our first time at FAN and the food is all cooked fresh when ordering you can order has much or has little has you want all throughout your 2 hour dining time, the food is of high quality but more importantly delicious and hot, drinks are very well priced soft drinks are refillable so for £3.20 has much has you want its all top brands not cheap stuff, the fried sliced potatoes are to die for only problem is you dont get enough per serving but like I said you can order 50 if you want ..BUT!!!! PLEASE GET SOME HEATING FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS its freezing cold all both times we have been ,health and safety will be investigating at some point Im sure people cant enjoy there dining ,I had to use a chair covering for my legs its not right nor professional, I found all the staff are very professional and more Importantly very polite for the 2 of us with limitless drinks it came to £33 its a steal

Brilliant place, nice to see it back open again! Food was lovely so many dishes to choose from all cooked to perfection, staff was lovely and very helpful, really enjoyed our night will be back again

The old Beijing Palace has a new owner and now its a Chinese all you can eat buffet. Food was very nice and authentic.
