Oh my god wow, i had the veg korma and chilli cheese naan was the best thing ive ever had from an indian takeaway flavour was amazing and wasnt mushy like most idian takeaways around here, my fiance had the chicken tikka masala and a plain naan and she said the same as what ive just said, will 110% be going here again next payday, thank you for our dinner!

The food wasnt the worst Id ever eaten but it was far from the best. The portions are quite stingy, paid nearly £4 for literally 2 prawns and a bit of onion. The curry had an offish taste to it and the vegetables definitely werent fresh. I called up to add something to my order and the person on the phone was very rude and unnecessarily abrupt. I paid £1 each for two regular Pepsis and was given diet pepsi from a multipack. The delivery driver was friendly but overall its not a place Id recommend

We ordered a set meal tonight. I must admit, the starter was excellent. My wife had a korma, I ordered lamb rogan josh. Very disappointed. Packed full of peppers and half cherry tomatoes...you would think they would keep the dishes being authentic, being an Indian takeaway.. Absolutely shocking?!! Way to much sugar and when you order lamb, dont send beef!!!

The Moghul Empire is a good India takeaway on Wellowgate in Grimsby,its been open for quite some years now. It was a really well decorated place but I must admit that its looking a little tired these days.lts very clean though and the staff are friendly. Quite a large menu with all the usual and a good assortment of speciality dishes. The wheelchair access is reasonable but parking is not the easiest. The menu is online and online ordering is available. It has a 4**** food hygiene rating. Food review June 2019. I ordered a lamb Balti,plain rice and a plain naan bread. The rice was freshly steamed,the naan bread was pretty good but I felt that it had been made a little earlier in the day. The Balti was very enjoyable, really well spiced with thick consistency plenty of fresh tomato and onion,with of good sized pieces of tender lamb,a decent meal overall. I paid £9.40 for my meal. Update December 2022. They now have a 5 food hygiene rating. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options are available

I ordered a set meal for two to takeaway and and one of the currys didnt have any meat in at all appauling if I wanted just a curry sauce I would of ordered that very disappointing indeed

Love this place, from the other side of the country (scouser) work over here a lot and always make a visit, food is gorgeous, madras is lovely, got the heat, the flavour, staff are really friendly too, my go to place for my curry fix when I m away from home, 5 star

I used to order from here many years ago, and it was great to see that it was back to its usual standards. We thoroughly enjoyed our set meal, it was lovely and hot and delivered within an hour! Brilliant! Thank you.

Our meal was cold .. we went in the shop to order was dated and dirty ..

This was the first time I had eaten such poorly seasoned Indian food. Failure ... Never again. In addition, I spent 30f and I wasnt even full

We have just had a really excellent meal from you it was hot and tasted amazing , I had Lamb Tikka Jalfrezi the meat was so tender the sauce was seasoned well , the bhijis we had the aloo sag and mushroom were equally tasty the only downer was the onion bhaji they were rock hard and over cooked

Quality Indian cuisine at reasonable prices

I went with my friend Max from Bucharest. He, as did I, enjoyed the dining experience at the Empire, but was most interested in the hidden treasure that they keep at the restaurant- I cant say any more! The wine was great, but the restaurant was quite dark in places - at one part my friend Max even had to light a match! We were served by the lovely Helena who helped us chose our dishes carefully. Would definitely go again, but try and avoid the herring in red curry sauce starter. It was definitely a regrettable choice in the morning.

Very, very disappointed, pull your socks up mogul empire you have good flavours but 2 shrivelled up king prawns as a starter, I asked to spice up one of your special meat dishes, you didn t, the meat was very old and dry and ordering a noodle dish for £3 I should of realised but super noodles?? Come on!!!

Seems to be a very busy place, but confused as to why? Food was bland, my wife had to even add salt. I don t think there was half a chilli in the whole 4 dishes. Worst I have ever had. Never again

On holiday just ordered my food .. pukka will be going back there again highly recommended it

Food took two hours to come by witch time it was stone cold .also some items were missing so rang the moghul and he was very abrupt and hung up on me will not use again also food is not good

Dont waste your money.

The staff at this place are very friendly. The food is incredible and there is always something to satisfy every member of my family. Nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended

First time ordering... Not recommended at al for Indian cuisine.. The noodles which I ordered didnt even met a quality and quantity of instant noodles. Food was not spicy, didnt feel anything authentic Indian food.

Absolutely shocking experience items missing from just eat order so phoned to correct the order got called a liar and took abuse from various staff had to phone just eat to get a full refund they even invited me down to the shop for a fight!

Waited one hour forty five minutes for food,partner had to go work on a empty stomach not happy sent him packing with his cold food,not be ordering again.

The food is good and abdul momin is great

Tried to order gluten free food over the phone. After spending 10 mins ordering and the lady on the telephone said that they can cater for gluten free even after asking the chef to confirm this. Five minutes later we got a phone call saying that they can not cater for our order and they were refusing to make it as it would not be gluten free. I am dissapointed due to having this being confirmed by the chef prior to ordering. This review is written for the inconvenience and annoyance when it could of been avoided.

First time ordering from here and had a banquet for 2 so had a decent selection of dishes. We both really enjoyed the meal but would have liked a bit more heat in the curry. We werent disappointed with the flavours though. Well be ordering again soon.

I unpacked all my food and took a bite in lamp balti and seriously it was like chewing a bone it was hard and unpleasant to eat. I wont be eating or ordering from there again. What on earth do they put in there food very unpleasant very poor.

I wish I could rate no stars. 2 hours after I ordered I received a message asking me to rate my order, when I received no order. I rang the resturant and was told that nobody had responded when delivery was attempted. Delivery was not attempted at all. Then the phone hung up and the issue was not resolved. Absolutely appaling service. Very unhappy.

Food was completely bland and flavourless. The food arrived cold, one dish was physically just tinned tomatoes. It took 4 minutes on the phone to just order the food. On the contrary I have received some very nice food in the past but there certainly is a lack of consistency.

Had a lamb from curry from hear and was not happy with any of the food got about 4 to 5 pieces of meat ...cold rice and sorry to say but the curry gave me the shi....ts the next morning. Will never recommend it and will never order from hear again

A great little Indian restaurant offering dining and a takeaway menu.

Burnt poppadoms, spaghetti noodles served as pad thai, Indian style curry called thai curry. Food ordered extra spicy was bland and flavorless. Portions were small. Spent 20 pounds just to throw out most of it and order from another restaurant. When I called to ask if we even got the right order I was told by the VERY nice girl who answered the phone that Chef says thats the recipe, we can resend it but he says it wont be any different. Was offered 20% off our next order. That wont happen. Avoid this place at all costs.
