Da Vinci in Grimsby

The best itallian food in the area by far. Extensive menu cooked fresh to order, and was piping hot and plentiful. The service was 1st class and nothing was touch trouble. Would highly recommend and will be a place we will keep visiting for tasty itallian food.

Great food and reasonable prices. Just need to add some alcohol free beers to the menu.

After being told there wasnt any tables for another 2 hrs, we told them that was a bit late, they apologised and we thought that was that. However, 10min later, they called back saying that they have shifted some tables around and could fit us in in 20min. Not many places would do that. I was there with my wife and our son, and we found it to be small but cosy and well managed, the servers were very polite and helpful and the food was served quickly,cooked well and delicious. With good portion sizes. And the tiramisu was to die for. We would definitely go here again. Thank you

Food is very good. We both had a pasta dish fresh ingredients used, only downside was that it was a warm night and no air conditioning, will definitely go back and would definitely recommend it to other people.

Had a meal here with 2 good friends ,best lasagna Ive had for years, & Iam SO fussy about lasagna as pubs especially always get it wrong ,loved it here & definately going back I want to try the Lamb Medallions they sounded yummy

The very best steak and lasagne we have ever tasted. Worth every penny. Taylor and susie the waitresses are the best, friendly kind and good at their job. The atmosphere is easy and relaxing. Other staff came over and said hello. Fantastic place will be back . Lovely place. Enjoyed the meal so much, highly recommend.

Strange restaurant. We had; Bread and olives - meh. It was toasted shop bought, kinda average bread. They had one bottle of olive oil and balsamic across 10 tables so we had to wait for the other table to finish their starter. Then the bottle to pour it seemed clogged as we barely got a drizzle. The other start was great. Aubergine Florentine. Aubergines, peppers, courgettes, lots of garlic, nice tomato sauce, and lots of cheese. This is the only reason Im giving it 2 star. Then for mains we had soggy veggie pasta and a risotto that was under cooked rice (and it wasnt even risotto rice). Oh also, the fork we had was already dirty.

The Chef, Jordan was very helpful. The food was excelent.

Did not know this restaurant but it was in a convenient spot...had the best meal of my vacation. The lamb was good and the treacle pudding with custard...sublime...highly recommend.

Normally food is banging here but received steak undercooked which was tried to rectify but on this occasion did not succeed and had to return for refund

I was on a holiday and we were looking for an Italian restaurant. So Im basing this review on european standards of a Italian restaurant. So here goes: The food was ok and cheap, however some of the menu choices completely baffled me. A pizza for a starter for example. How is a full size pizza a starter? The service was not very professional. The waitresses were friendly but they need some training. Basic things like table setting were not done correctly. Putting knives and forks on the wrong side. Same with glasses and water. Our starters and appetisers were brought at the same time. By the time we finished the ridiculously large pizza starter, our appetisers were cold. Finally, we got a tiramisu desert but I think they forgot to put the cacao powder on it. Unless its their own creation, in which case I ask: why change it? So my suggestion to the restaurant is to train your people, slow down the food (one at a time) and replace the starter pizza with an actual garlic bread with cheese. If you want to serve pizza (which you should) put it under the main dish.

The food was excellent service not so even though not busy. There was no atmosphere could do with having some kind of music in the background. Very smokey from the cooking need better extractor fans. Would still go though because the food is so good.

Been coming to da Vinco for years but service was extremely poor and then was treated very badly by the new younger management on the day I was in, they were insulting and very discriminative, so badly that I will not be back!

Welcoming staff and service as always. It has been quiet on the last couple of times I have visited but that might be due to the time (5ish straight from work). Some portion sizes are big (spag bol) others could be larger (lasagna). All food is clearly homemade, fresh and very tasty. I will definitely be back.

Had our Xmas get together on 7th Dec, food excellent, but I must say our lovely waitress and she was all on her own, she had no other help serving drinks, food and clearing away, was brilliant, never got stressed, did absolutely everything smiled all the time we where there, first class , definitely recommend

There were 7 of us looking for a place to eat on Saturday lunchtime. Most of the pubs in the town centre are either full of drunks or blasting football at top volume so it was a real pleasure to find Da Vincis. The food was delicious, the service top rate and ambiance perfect. Ten out of ten.

First visit on Friday was impressed with the menu. Food was served quickly and very hot. Garlic bread was divine . Good sized portions too. Would definitely go again. Only down side our orders were taken but menus not removed. The same waitress took our dessert option but didnt ask or give me time to select cream, ice cream etc and had to come back to ask . Will definitely become a regular here.

I have always enjoyed eating food at this venue. Its very authentic and delicious. Its my first eatery that comes to mind on a busy shopping or relaxing window shop day.

Went to da vinci for valentines day i had the stromboli pizza which was tasty and partner had spaghetti e polette which was nicely flavoured and both had chocolate cake for dessert which was rich and delicious staff were very friendly and polite definitely will come back again.

Greeted on arrival and taken straight to our table. Very clean in dining area. Table was pristinely set. Meals were ready at the same time, excellent considering we all ordered different meals! One of the staff offered to take a photo of all of us so everyone was in the photo. I would recommend a visit to this friendly and informal restaurant

Me and 3 friends dined in your restaurant last night and it was the best night, our waitress susie was amazing very friendly, helpful and funny. She helped us with the bill and chatted with us about making puddings and also gave my friend advice that she definitely needed . The food was spectacular I could eat it all again now. The atmosphere was spot on love it there..

1st day of holiday, decided would like an Italian so after looking around the menu at Da Vinci looked pretty inviting. Wasnt disappointed the food was delicious and came out very timely. I had the ribs as a starter which came of the bone lovely, sauce was amazing. Main course had garlic bread and the lamb dijon,. Potatoes were tasty and fluffy. Lamb was tender with a sauce not tasted before which was enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful highly recommend this restaurant

I went for a birthday meal with my best friend and the food we ordered was roasted ham and goats cheese salad and it was amazing. We both had the same meal drink and dessert and the was amazing to. We will be back for more.

I love lamb when it is done well and it was. A very tasty lunch. Will try dinner soon.

We came a couple of weeks ago with Friends for my 70th Birthday. The down side was we were on a table near the door & people who were coming in were not closing it, & the evening was very cold, wet & windy so we had to keep getting up to close it until it was brought to the waitresses attention, then they made sure the door was closed. The food was lovely, nice & hot, also very well presented. I will look forward to eating here again. Thank you Da Vincis.

My wife and I went to Da Vinci restaurant yesterday. Our bruchetta starter was large, beautifully crisp and tasty. Then we both had Chicken Spiedino Di pollo which was excellent. The chicken was moist with a yoghurt dressing and the tomato based sauce was very tasty. The service by our waitresses was attentive but not overbearing. We ate too much because our eyes were bigger than our stom aches. We will definitely be back to sample further choices on their menu.

Da Vinci is a good Italian ristorante in the centre of Grimsby, Im not certain when it first opened its doors but I think that was over 30 years ago. Its a quite small restaurant with a warm atmosphere and Italian styling,it has music playing in the background,it has quite subdued lighting which creates an intimate feel. It was serving good quality Italian food long before the the fast food outlets and pizza chains arrived in Grimsby. It has lunchtime menu and specials menu during the day and a more extensive evening menu which includes steaks. Theres a good range of meals available on both menus which can be viewed online. A good selection of classic Italian dishes its not just a pizzeria,though the pizza is good here. It serves alcohol and has a very good selection of wine and good coffee. I found the staff very polite and friendly and they provide good table service. The layout is chiefly free standing tables with movable chairs which could easily accommodate a wheelchair, the access is to the restaurant is also good. It has its own restrooms.They currently have a 3*** food hygiene rating. Credit cards are accepted here. Food review June 2019. I ordered the bruschetta to start and the lemon sole goujons for my main meal and a pot of tea. The tea arrived quickly and was soon followed by my starter. The bruschetta was a delight freshly made with really good quality ingredients,perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. The main course was also good the fish had a good crispy coating with a good flavour which didnt over power the delicate flavour of the lemon sole inside, the freshly prepared slaw that accompanied the meal was also very good, my only criticism was the chips which were good but were of the frozen variety,the quality of the tea was also very good. I paid £12.48 for my meal, which I thought was very reasonable given the quality of the food and service I received. Update August 2021. They have recently made improvements and now have a 5 food hygiene rating.

Visited today and loved it. The food tasted incredibly and was cooked super fast. The portions are great value for money too! I had a couple dietary requirement changes and they managed to meet these without any difficulty. Will definitely be visiting again!

Just had a beautiful meal with my husband, daughter and 2 friends. I had the goats cheese salad, amazing! 2 others had steak gorgonzola, gorgeous. Staff were great. Such beautiful food, highly recommend. Baby friendly too.

Went on Saturday for the first time in a while and we wasnt impressed at all. Partners pasta dish was dry and flavourless and my fillet steak looked the part but was chewy and tasteless. Disappointed because it was always nice whenever we went before.

Pizza was a shop brought base which wasnt that great. The blond waitress brought us the receipt and asked us if we would like our change of course we want our change it should have come with the receipt in the first place, bad customer service and mediocre food. Wouldnt recommend
