Decent food. Decent service. Nice patio but the interior needs to be updated. Often smells like cigarettes or cannabis. Its a local landmark that is always busy but could use a refresh.

Passing through and managed to get in on half-price wing night! Atmosphere, food, and service were excellent.

Had a great experience for dinner. Came with my husband and two kids. Colleen was amazing with the kids, really made our night. We are new to Grimsby and look forward to making this our regular spot.

Our poor waitress was run off her feet, but man did she do great. She was the only one, in a Friday afternoon other than the bar tender. Great food, pretzel bites were amazing. Parking: Construction right now and the street parking is blocked but a great parking lot 1 road over

Great little find in Grimsby in the downtown area. Had the poutine and a White Sangria. Sangria gets 3/5 stars and poutine 4/5. They have a great patio setup hidden between buildings and the inside feels like a real Irish/English pub.

The shaved beef and shrooms was delicious.

Amazing bar/restaurant, super friendly owner and staff with an awesome menu selection. If youre in town you have to make this a destination, you will not regret it!

Love the outdoor patio and theyre dog friendly. Food is delicious and when we head out for a walk at that end of Grimsby, its always our first choice. Staff is always nice, prompt and friendly.

The atmosphere is wonderful. I will tell you I was very disappointed that a lb of chicken wings for 16.99 was outrageous for 7 chicken wings

What a fabulous find by chance. We were welcomed and quickly seated, had menus within seconds and our drinks order right after. Our food was hot, hot, hot when it arrived at the table and it was delicious. It has a great Irish atmosphere and was going to feature live music that evening.

I had the soup with a rib appetizer which was absolutely delicious. My friend tried the ribs and ordered some to take home for dinner!

Group of 8 on route ,called in for supper.gteat deal on wings while nfl was on TV.. loved the lemon pepper flavour and the rose wine was nice.our server was lovely and courteous.

I recently went to dinner here with some friends. It was a Saturday night, so it was quite busy. This did not effect the service one bit! Our server(I want to say her name was Carolyn? I wish my memory was better) was friendly and SO ontop of things, refilling our drinks before we even needed to ask, checking in frequently - but not annoyingly frequent. A friend lost an earring and she even got down on all fours trying to help us look for it! The food was delicious and served quickly! I got the Buffalo Chicken wrap as its usuallymy go-to, and it was probably the best one Ive had! I would recommend this place 100%!!

The atmosphere was great. The food was good ( couldve been warmer but I didnt complain so my bad). Sitting near the back door in February is not a good idea. The previous time that I was there was when it was called Ernies. It was my favorite establishment. It was cold near the back door then as well. All in all a nice place. Its clean and the service was great. I will go there again.

I would normally give this restaurant 4 stars but the service was incredibly slow Thursday night. Not enough wait staff, apparently the kitchen was short staffed as well - Thursday before a long weekend should have been better prepared. Food was great when we finally did get to eat!

The best pub curry Ive ever had. The food in general was way more impressive than youd expect for a pub. Great service, reasonable prices, big portion sizes. And free live music randomly!

The onions wings were great, the kids loved the chicken strips and fries (adult size). The chicken wings stole the show. I commented on them and they said they just switched to locally sourced chicken which is good to hear. The wings were bigger than expected. They go by weight so I think there is more edible and less bone. Id say better than another restaurant on the same street. Nice waitress and nice atmosphere

Hey guys! Love it here but PLEASE bring back the chicken ceaser poutine. Prior to covid happening I really would come just for that. Like i love the classics you guys do too. But, PLEASSSSSSSE. Bring the fun poutines back

Was their on the weekend for the first time. Sat on the little patio to enjoy the first nice day in awhile. Was not to sure what to expect at first from this place especially with 3 adults and 3 teenage boys. Luckily this place exceeded all my expectations. The service was great, the menu had a great variety with some different options on it but the food was fabulous, everything we ordered. Thanks for the great experience its been awhile

Their wings are the best in Grimsby and surrounding area! They are huge, and their blue cheese is as real as real can get. They have a great variety of flavours. The atmosphere is so cozy and warm and the servers are superb. Give it a try, you will NOT be disappointed.

Had such a lovely experience here this past Saturday. My friends and I came for both lunch & decided to return for dinner. For lunch we had the soup, fish tacos and pork belly tacos. Soooo delicious. For dinner we had the mushroom ravioli, bacon wrapped chicken, and the Korean fried chicken. The patio is lovely, the staff (Colleen) was amazing and friendly. The food was DELICIOUS and arrived in a timely manner. Loved the atmosphere.

The Judge in Jester is absolute must visit in my books! Great live music and events. The staff is absolutely epic and cold brews at the ready & the food is honestly fantastic! If you dont try the Bombay Chicken Currie you are missing out! Absolutely one of my favorite spots for so many reasons, check it out!

Nice patio in a Laneway, wings were not crispy rather soggy. Limp celery. Great atmosphere, I imagine the food on the weekends being better for some reason.

This is the second time we came to judge and jester from Hamilton because our first experience was so good. This time I brought my family back, not only did everyone say it was the best pub food they have ever had, but our waitress Colleen went above and beyond to make our experience one of the best we have ever had, she was super funny and friendly and very quick. She met every single request that we had. Colleen was amazing and the food and live music was also amazing.

Southwest salad with chicken was surprisingly good, it was a large portion and the chicken was seasoned really well. The outdoor seating area is very cozy and has plenty of shade.

Food was yummy. Waitress was sweet.

Veal was overcooked and breading slightly burnt but seasoned good. The other dishes and apps were great.Service was fantastic.

I had read good reviews, however it was a disappointment to dine outside here. The Server Olivia made us feel unwelcomed. Once you order water with a straw youre shunned. It is a pub! Water came with no ice? Asking for a straw was a tragedy. Never received no napkins or cutlery for our food. Ate with our hands. Again, its a pub. Saw the server twice. Took 20 minutes to just get the bill. Presented a $50 for a $32.50 invoice. Server asks do you need change? A $17.50 tip sounds right. Burgers were good!

I had a wonderful time at this establishment enjoying their wings and beer. It was a delight to savor a perfectly chilled beer that had just the right amount of fizz. The order was swiftly brought to our table right after placing it, and our waitress was incredibly helpful throughout our visit. I truly appreciate the fantastic experience.

Have a look at the Public Health Inspections posted on Infodine . They have a horrible record and have been ordered closed Oct 3rd due to many infractions. When a restaurant is ordered closed , it has to be very bad ...... Food

Having moved to Grimsby recently we ve been checking out the local places. Every time we ve visited here it s been a great experience! Service is excellent and the specials are great. Entertainment is fantastic. Dog friendly patio is a good option too and our dog has been treated to bacon and always fresh water. Highly recommend!

6pm reservation for 7 adults 1 child 20 minutes to get first drink 2 hours to get our dinners after ordering. We were finally able to leave around 9:15. Had to get up and go get our own cutlery for the whole table No napkins had to get up and get those on our own too .TWICE Waited 15 -30 minutes between drinks Asked where our food was,TWICE! The 2nd time was only because we d waited another 40 minutes after being told it was on it s was out shortly the first time. All this wait wouldn t be worthy of this poor review had someone at this pub come to us to keep us up to date and happy rather than ignoring us and requiring us to leave our table and ask what s up. An apology finally came from, who I assume was a manager, but not until we d paid and were leaving. Offered us drinks which we assume were being offered free, she didn t say but we were leaving so she gave us a card for free deserts next time we re in. A $500 tab, pub one, guests zero! This isn t normal here but someone needs to take charge and get organized. The service was horrible

Visited this pub with a couple of guests from overseas to experience some Canadian cuisine and hospitality. We were completely satisfied. Lunch suggestions were well prepared pub fare, ambience was soft pleasing and unrushed. Nice restaurant for a visit with friends or family alike!!

Town of Grimsby does not disappoint in terms of chilled out places to eat and drink, This one unique for its ambience. The moment we entered, It took us straight to the UK, a fine english pub! Chilled out servers We Loved their red telephone Box replica.! Note: must visit during their Tuesday trivia night!

The service wasnt bad and the staff is quite friendly, but it was quite slow even though the place was nearly empty, and the food was nothing to write home about. When my chicken finally came, there was a long piece of hair in my food. Overall a bad experience. The menu is also quite small, with few options that sound appetizing. Would not recommend going to this place, there are many far better restaurants in Grimsby.

Service was great. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. We were a party of 3. We asked about vegan options and our waitress asked the kitchen on our behalf. She came back with a few options. I had the classic reuben and the other 2 people had the brussel sprout tacos, everything was delicious (including the fried pickles).

I wont eat there again. Food is way overcooked and steaks are chewy. I dont suggest wasting your money

I usually have a good time here but tonight was terrible. We waited 25 minutes just to order drinks. We were there for an hour before our food came out. It was the worst experience Ive had here. We got sat just before someone else and they were served first for food and drinks. The customer service was really bad tonight. I understand it was busy so I will give them another chance but it was just awful. Not what I had usually expected.

This was our third visit to the Judge and Jester. There was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke as soon as you enter the bar from the Main Street. Apparently the tenants upstairs are heavy smokers and somehow the smoke gets into the Lounge area! Food was pretty good, service was quick and efficient, prices were normal standard pub prices but the smell of smoke is so disgusting it only gets two stars and we wont be going back.

Great selection of Draught beers, a cool section in the back room that accommodates larger groups. What a refreshing change from corporate restaurants! Pay a visit, you won t be disappointed.

Three of us went on a Friday night. Very busy, but we were brought to the back of the restaurant. Not noisy at all. Our waitress promptly brought our menus. Gave us a few minutes and returned to get our drink orders. We all knew what we wanted to eat so we ordered. We all got the fish and chips which arrived pretty quick. We all enjoyed the meal. We were in and out in an hour which was great. Well be back for sure.

I had the chicken wings, dry and hot. The quality of the wings was top notch, extra veggies and awesome blue cheese dip. My friend had the homemade chicken pot pie! It looked fantastic and she said it was delicious. The rest had awesome burgers at our table....highly recommend this place.
