Best breakfast place, period! I had the Philly Cheese Benedict and my co-worker had the Chorizo Bowl with the poached eggs. We both couldnt get enough of our dishes. The eggs were perfectly soft. The combination of the cheese and the Hollandaise sauce was decadent. My co-worker just kept saying This is so good The coffee is also rich and full bodied. The service was prompt and professional. You can see that between the wait staff and kitchen, it is a well oiled machine. They worked together extremely efficiently. The place was busy but no one appeared to be stressing and while waiting (not very long at all), for our order, we just kept seeing all the amazing plates coming out and saying maybe well that one next time, or that one, or that one! I have had breakfast in literally hundreds of places in Canada, the U S, Caribbean, Spain and Portugal and Eggcetara is the best ever. I just wish they had more locations.

My home away from home. Exceptional food (to die for home fries) and customer service that makes you feel like family. This is and always will be one of my favourite places to eat. Thank you everyone at Eggcetera.

Great Food .

I am giving my review based on take out orders only. Dont do it, almost every time I get take out, the food is usually terrible. They managed to both undercooked and overcook my breakfast potatoes today.They werent cooked enough to be put on the griddle, and then they were overcooked, dried out and some were even crispy. The omelet was ok but meh. Based on their takeout I would never get it again but I get out voted. My daughters crepe was great.my wifes potatoes were just as bad. I have eaten in the restaurant many times and its always great. I think that when its packed for takeout, the cooks use the potatoes that arent presentable (the ones that would get sent back if served to a table). I have told my family that were not getting takeout again from here. I will happily eat in but never get take out again. I have called back numerous times before and sometimes they will credit for a partial meal, but really, that doesnt help.

Im here almost every Sunday morning

Loved the food. We were a team of 12 plus 2 toddlers. Had to wait for 30 mins to get our seats but considering rush hours on a weekend it was pretty quick. Tried the Montreal, Canadian, Philly and pulled beef (they were out of pulled pork) Benedicts and some of the skillets They were all delicious. Tried different drinks, hot and cold! Loved those!

The patio is a great addition.

Honest to god the best eggs Benny! The chefs here really know how to cook a serious breakfast for the fancy hearted. I LOVE carmalized onions with mushrooms and bacon! Its so delicious. The mountain of a list of drinks they put on the board makes me want to keep coming back and trying something new. Also the servers are so kind and quick. Especially the one with long hair and highlights! I always forget to ask her name but shes a ray of sunshine. Keep up the good work people, I can tell yall put care in the food and way its made

First time here today with my wife. Great food, service and worth the price. Definitely going to be coming back often. P.s crispy home fries are the way to go!

Good morning folks : Yesterday I treated myself to breakfast at Eggcetera . The atmosphere is festive , lively and caring . I was seated quickly at a table for one. The cheerful, busy hostess really keeps excellent track of what is going on in the dining room . I could tell she knows the regulars and cares about them : wishing a Merry Christmas and even offering hugs to some . That is just so sweet to witness . My server has a personality that delights in serving and making one s day . I didn t get her name . I had the classic with bacon, eggs over easy home fries and rye toast . My breakfast was done to perfection ! The home fries are incredible! I asked for crispy. They were just like what my Nanny made and one aunt makes . I d been craving my aunt s home fries and Eggcetra nailed it ! Thank -you . It feels great to be served here as a single person . They don t assume more are joining you , but make a single person feel welcome. It was fun to share ketchup with the table beside me , like the ole days . The restaurant was very busy and short on ketchup, but I didn t mind sharing at all . You get to chat with someone . Coffee is delicious and so fresh ! I m happy to see they use French s ketchup, supporting Canadian farmers !! The washroom is immaculate . No waiting for the bill even when busy . This team is so on top of serving and providing top notch customer service . Thank you so much Eggcetra for a great breakfast experience.

Just left today. Would like to say Miss Nicole is a super hard worker. I sat at the bar and got my breakfast very fast and she was doing ten things at the same time as well as serving us at the bar. My food was delicious as well. Ordered the Canadian Benedict. Only complaints I would have is there should be three eggs on the Benedict IMO (but, I will order an extra next time) and I just wanted a bit more hollandaise sauce and it cost $2 to order an extra teaspoon full. Other than that, GREAT FOOD AND AWESOME SERVICE! Nicole, you are a superstar I am updating my review. I ordered egg Benedict this morning to go and when I got it home it was still beautifully cooked and had runny yolks. This restaurant is awesome. Thanks so much

Very good food and service. I liked that the wait system allowed is to walk around and look at other shops in the same strip mall. The Pulled Pork Benedict and Philly Skillet were both very good.

The server was never around, but when it was time to pay and enter the tip, she was hovering over me. I felt uncomfortable.

The place was full. Make sure you do the reservation before going in. No reservation on Saturday and Sundays. 0800-0130. Monday and Tuesday off. Vegetarian options: Not many options.

We ate there recently for the first time in a couple of years. The food and the service were as good as ever (excellent) but frankly the prices were a lot more reasonable than I remembered. Even with the inevitable weekend wait, weve decided to make it a weekly thing. Parking: Large lot, but not many spaces in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant.

Sadly Eggcetra is not as good as it used to be! Portions are nice and the new art inside looks really neat. I don t know if the waiter was overwhelmed but she came off as very blunt when my friend had a question about a side switch for her meal. This is the second experience of it being poorly compared to years previously! We always try to be super nice customers, just didn t hit the mark for us.

Love there use of the Yelp Reservation app. Sure makes it a whole lot easier and convenient to know when it s time to go into the restaurant. ALL restaurants should employee it! Kid-friendliness: Blank paper table covering with crayons provided

I really do love the food here, I think it s well made and the ingredients are great. Time and time again over several years though I find the service really lacking. When you go, you almost feel like the servers are doing you a favour by having you. The managers (I think that s who it was anyways) have a similar attitude. Not really interested in righting wrongs or making you feel welcomed. I forgot until our most recent visit with someone from out of town how abrasive the staff can be. So really, it just discourages us from returning. I thought I was alone in this but our entire table agreed and when I read some reviews it seems to be a theme. Even the responses from the owners speak to how they are in person. I think if you have people supporting your business, willing to wait an hour + to eat at your restaurant and dish out $20 a plate for breakfast, those people should feel valued and appreciated and that is not so at Eggcetera. Which is a shame because as I said the food is good.

Our absolute favourite brunch place! It can get busy on the weekends so we recommend joining the waitlist on google before heading out! Crab cake benny and a classic breakfast is our go-to order and it s always consistently good food and generous portions. Service is on point esp given how busy they always are. I always love trying one of their seasonal lattes as well however they don t have any milk substitutes! Highly recommend!!

It s hard to go wrong with breakfast food but also difficult to excel. This place has superb brunchie food. I always get the Brie honest eggs bene with Brie cheese cartelized onions and bacon. The potato side dish is always meh but who cares when you ve gorged of yummy eggs

Can t really go wrong with a classic breakfast! The moment you walk the rough the doors you can smell the food already being served to the other tables, it s great! Good variety, not just the standard bacon and eggs their menu is massive. Potatoes aren t traditional home fries, but sliced in to what almost resembles potato chips. The crunchy ones are the best, and the chunkier slices are a bit lacklustre. LOVE how the eggs come with a small side of beans, and boy do the beans hit. Super fun ambiance, you can tell why this place is packed on a weekend morning.

Today was our first time , to visit this establishment. We sat at the bar , I ordered a ceasar and coffee for my husband . The two girls were great one was training by the other who s been there for over 6 years I think she said We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast I got the chorizo scrambler no mushrooms and hubby got the Gouda and Ham sandwich . Oh did I mention we got PB favorite banana and crepes with Nutella to share .. if you haven t tried this place the food tastes amazing and the service is top notch we high recommend this establishment !

Breakfast was great. There was a little bit of a mix-up with three orders. For example, my plate had three meats. I didnt want the sausage, so I asked for two bacon, ham, and no sausage. We came in on Mothers Day. Although its their busiest day, they were still able to accommodate us an we were seated at the bar. The service was quick and the breakfast was delicious. I had the pancakes with berries and my wife has the French toast. My pancakes were amazing and the berries were fresh. My wifes French toast was one of the best shes ever had. We will be back and look forward to trying other things on the menu.

I visited this place for the first time last week, and as I expected from the reviews, it had a cosy atmosphere. I recommend this place to people who like brunches at the weekend .

Such a lovely experience despite the wait time. The food, service and ambiance were great. We waited for an hour to be seated on Father s Day which wasn t too bad! Not many breakfast spots offer skillets so that was one of my favorite things about Eggcetra. Will definitely return. Kid-friendliness: Gave us colors for the kids to scribble on the paper mats. Had kids menu with some nice dad jokes on the back.

Excellent ..... Noise level was above acceptable but the music was turned down when we asked. There is nothing to absorb the sound .Baffles are needed. Food : 5/5

Love this place. The food and service are excellent! The atmosphere is simple, it has kind of an industrial caffeteria esthetic and its always very busy. This is because they are amazing at what they do. The food is superb, and they have a great variety of beverages from coffee and tea to creative shakes, cappucino, etc. Ive NEVER had a bad meal here. Ive tried several things off the menu and wasnt disappointed at all.

A group of friends and I decided to have breakfast at Eggcetra and we werent disappointed. There was a small wait when we arrived (clearly a very popular place) but when we were seated the staff was prompt and quick to tend to our needs. The food took a little bit time to make but was well worth it. I had the granola/yogurt/fruit dish and it was both tasty and light, would definitely recommend.

Food was great. Puns were great. Our server, Jordan was lovely and was very kind and always made sure we had everything we needed. Atmosphere was a little crowded and it seemed a little cold. I recommend for a good breakfast place.

This is the best breakfast restaurant in Ontario. We ve been over five times and each has been an incredible experience! Every item on the menu is amazing and I really loved all of it.

Their skillet is the best I have ever had. Its always my go to when we eat out. You can either get your potatoes dep fried or on the grill. They put a ton of cheese and whatever else is on the one you ordered. Its definitely a breakfast for 2! I would definitely recommend checking them out!!

Really enjoyed our breakfast here, fast service, clean comfortable feel. Friendly staff. We also noticed they don t rush you out always filling your coffee. Food was delicious and good portions.

Was busy (it was a weekend, forgiven) we were able to make a reservation via text and were notified when our table was ready. The staff were friendly but it took quite a while for the food to come (even when considering twas a busy weekend), it tasted good when the time came to consume. 3.5/5 would consume within these walls again.

If it was possible to love breakfast food more, this place would be responsible for it! They get very busy on the weekends. So, expect wait time for seating depending on what time it is. This place is amazing! The best breakfast spot in Guelph by a landslide. The owner really cares and pours her heart into the business and it shows. All of the staff are friendly and the food is always hot and delicious!

Wide selection of breakfast options, and should you need to make alterations to an item the cooks usually oblige (keep in mind some categories are explicitly marked as unalterable on the menu, and alterations have to be reasonable for short order cooks). Menu items range from variety plates (classic breakfast arrangements like sausages, toast, eggs, etc) through specialty waffles and omelettes. There s a variety of options, and the portioning is generous (in my opinion). The coffee s fine, and they have some tea, too. Portions are large, at least for me. The food is pretty good and is largely classic breakfast items. It does not exactly wow me, but it isnt really wow factor food. For that, you have to pay a lot more. This restaurant I find is very much a crowd pleaser, as even picky eaters can usually find something on the menu. The location has lots of open space and a high ceiling. It s well lit, and two of the dining area s walls are largely windowed so there is plenty of light. The staff is casual and polite. It s a nice place for breakfast with friends and family. It does get busy on weekends though, so be aware that seating is not unlimited.

We finished a visit to the November Fair & and overnight in Guelph with brekky at Eggcetra. It was a perfect ending. One of the girls used to come here when she was a kid. That was a long time ago & she said it was just as good as she remembered.

Been coming here regularly for years. Best breakfast food and service in Guelph. Waitstaff is super friendly, and coming for so long, they know never to stray too far with the coffee pot :) Food is always delicious and made to order. Restaurant is nice and bright, but with exposed walls and ceilings it can be quite loud. No problem for the company I keep, but if youre with a low-talker hearing them could be a challenge when its busy.

It s been now 4 months or so we have consistently had breakfast here after our kids swimming, fantastic every time, the staff truly care about the service they provide. Food is excellent. I will suggest, the TV over the bar area, don t have CP24 on, nothing but death, tragedy, doom and gloom with the occasional sports scores. Just a suggestion, perhaps the fireplace screensaver.
