Wok s Taste is hands down the best Chinese takeaway in Guelph and maybe this part of Ontario. I get random cravings for their egg rolls. Keep up the great work!

Hands down the best tasting Chinese Restaurant in Guelph. Super Highly Recommended!

Years ago, we found the food great. But the last few times it has been disappointing. We spent $68 today. General Tao, so tough we couldnt eat it. Veg lo mein had no veggies. They have lost our business.

Best egg rolls and fresh veggies and schrimp dishes

Visited today to grab dinner and was left waiting at the door for 10-20 minutes. Waiter was eating in front of customers and other waiter was chatting with a non-staff. No one gave us a menu or sat us down, no one took our order. When inquired about service we were told we should have sat ourselves down and that it was our problem we did not receive service. I used to visit this place regularly with friends and family and will no longer be recommending this place for the awful service.

They have very authentic Chinese food if you take the time to look past the chicken balls and fried rice. Probably the best Chinese restaurant in Guelph. The spicy fish was excellent, and the beef brisket noodle soup was great as well. They also serve some dim sum dishes, which were decent as well. We definately take the time to try something new in the menu each time we come here.

Come here for the good food and affordable prices. Dont expect welcoming friendly service. The woman who works the cash is rather hostile.

One of my very favourite spots for authentic Chinese food. Their eggplant dishes are spectacular! The hot and sour soup is another favourite. Even though I no longer live in Guelph, I always try to include a meal here when I m back in the area. If you re a fan of Asian food, definitely check this place out! Vegetarian options: The menu includes plenty of vegetarian options with lots of variety.

Tried this restaurant as our regular place was closed the service was brutal no social skills and poor service. When my order was missing an item I called only to be told that it was put in the bag and they had a system but I was still missing a dish. Then when I drove all the way back to pick up the dish rather then apologize I had to argue once again with the server about how they said I had received all of my order eventually I got the food I ordered but couldnt enjoy it as after all this.. will never recommend or order from here again.

I had to add soy sauce myself. The pimple soup turned out to be tomato... The total cost for two people was 59. I know it s strange to order Sichuan food in a Cantonese restaurant, but since it s on the menu and recommended by the chef, it shouldn t be too bad. But it turned out to be really bad. Ordered food at 7pm and was told delivery will be between 8-830. At 845 we called and was told the driver is on his way and will be there shortly. By 910 the food still did not arrive and we called back. They kept saying driver is on his way. 920 the driver finally arrived, food was cold and bag was soaked in one of the sauces from the container. Our order was 100.00 and we were offered 10.00 off our price. Customer service was bad and we refused the order. Will never order from here again. Dont waste your time.

Pricey, but tremendous portions and quick service are big advantages. My roommate and I have ordered from Wok s Taste twice so far and on both occasions we ve been provided with delicious Chinese food that has lasted for multiple days after the fact. It seems that most Chinese food restaurants are somewhat expensive, with many orders exceeding $70 for a decent spread of 4-5 dishes, but the amount of food that you get out of it is certainly worth it. This is the perfect place to order from if you re near downtown Guelph on a Friday night or if you re having people over, I know I ll definitely be back.

Every time when I visit Guelph, I drop by this restaurant always. You can experience that pretty authentic and really savory menu with inexpensive price. Most of all, fresh and clean. Trust me.

I ordered food from here for the first time. The noodles and spring rolls were delicious. The chicken was a little dry but it was flavourful. All together, not bad, I would recommend.

Fried noodles were uncooked!! Not all of them (some were burnt!) But a huge portion of my meal! I have never experienced that at a restaurant before. And we had to throw out the spring rolls because of the bad taste. My family enjoyed the pork and the chicken.

One of the best Chinese food restaurants in Guelph and I think I ve tried them all. Food is fresh, chicken fried rice had large pieces of chicken in it and no hard bits like some places. Chicken balls also have large chunks of white chicken. Egg rolls are massive. Lemon chicken was a large filet with lemon sauce on the side. Based on location it can be hard to find parking, especially during patio season. Food was ready on time and steaming hot and service was friendly. The inside of the restaurant appeared clean.

Absolutely disappointed. Tasteless young chow fried rice. Lemon chicken breaded in bread crumbs over cooked. Fried crispy noodle dish awful and soggy Nope never again I will stick with Super Happy Garden on Victoria. I can do Chinese dishes better than this .

Double dragon closed down so I had to look elsewhere for my Chinese food fix.. Woks taste is great! Wish I was going there all along. Homemade egg rolls were excellent. Also I have a sensitive stomach - if you get me - 95% of the time I eat outside food, I have problems (I still eat it though I just live with it). None of that so far from woks taste. I usually dont believe all the reviews, I think people pay them to write them or some of them are friends.. well this is real.. I usually only review a place if they were so bad I felt I had to say something.. but this has been so good so far I felt I had to say something.

Good is great! Definitely the best Chinese in Guelph. Great range of dishes and it is all so well cooked. My only complaint is the lady in charge of the shop is very rude and snappy, but hey, I came to pick up tasty food not make a friend!

Seems like a family run small business in Guelph which I absolutely love. We got the Family of 4 A for just above $50 and everything was great and large quantities. Im not sure if they make the general tao chicken in house or if they have a supplier but its the best Ive had. Lightly battered and the chicken was juicy and stringy. This is my new favorite spot for Chinese food and I highly recommend it.

Very unassuming place but the food is great. I thought this was your typical Chinese-Canadian restaurant and never would have dined here but then tasted their food at a family members house and was surprised at how good it was. This is now our go to Chinese restaurant in the area. Try the fried pork chop with chili and the golden shrimp, theyre delicious! Friendly customer service as well.

Believe the hype - this is the best Chinese restaurant in Guelph. The wait times for delivery may be long, but believe it or not, thats a good thing! This place is always busy and the food we have received is always hot and delicious. Their egg rolls are unlike other egg rolls we have had - homemade, perhaps? And their special wonton soup is amazing.

***If you have a tree nut allergy be careful***. The food here is excellent, absolutely excellent. More than once however weve ordered items and asked to make certain there were no nuts. We were assured that the items in question were made without nuts, only to have the dish arrive with a healthy amount of Cashews (a type of nut). So if youre ordering and have a nut allergy, perhaps take the time to clarify no almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, Brazil nuts... Because I think when they hear nuts they think only of peanuts. Still awesome food though! Will definitely return!

First time customer......will not return.....they forgot my sweet and sour sauce and I had to go back out and get it. They did not even offer me a spring roll for my troubles. Spent 100$.....no parking downtown......waited 30 minutes which I did not mind......but then I was responsible for going back.....if they reach out and try to fix this I might order again

Best Chinese restaurant in Guelph hands down and I ve tried them all. Salted pepper shrimp, Cantonese chow mein, and the kung bo chicken are top notch. Oh and the egg rolls too.

A (not so hidden) gem of an authentic Cantonese style chinese resto. I wont fault you if you choose to settle for the more familiar Canadian oriented menu, but if you can, use the force) and expore the Chinese listings. The Malaysian style fried rice noodle dish (i.e. char kway teow) is awesome. Take out is on point - staff is (always) rushed but friendly and helpful. Populate place for take out, esp on rainy/blah days like today. Highly recommended - never disappoints. Leftovers are as good or better if warmed properly. Enjoy!

The best Chinese food in Guelph with good customer service.

Ordered from here recently. The taste is not bad but there are a few complaints. We ordered garlic pork which didnt come with much meat at all. On top of that, the green peppers werent cooked long enough and tasted very bitter so it ruined the taste.

My favourite Chinese spot in Guelph. I also like being able to park downtown and enjoy a touch of ambiance while I pick up my food. They always seem busy for take out which is a good sign. Very friendly and quick. My go to is a Combination B and it never disappoints. Highly recommended!

Chinese food has a low bar, which is why I have never reviewed a Chinese food restaurant. But man this was disappointing. Spring rolls were mush inside, I guess undercooked. The rice was bland and mushy again. The beef and broccoli literary has 6 pieces of beef.

Ordered at 1230 pm for a 630 pm pickup and then had to wait until 655 pm for the order. Terrible service in the middle of a pandemic as trying to stay away from people. At 630 pm when arrived told I wait a purple of minutes. Not true.

I dont review places often more like never. We have been trying various Chinese take out in Guelph for over a decade with out striking gold. Tonight we tried Woks for the first time and we hit gold.

I would 100% order again without hesitation. Next, I will try some more traditional Cantonese dishes.

Everything was super fresh and flavourful. Noticeably better quality meat/protein in some of the dishes than weve sometimes come to expect from Chinese food. The egg rolls were stuffed beyond the brim and almost as big as our fist. Very reasonable prices, friendly staff. No reason not to make this our go-to spot for Chinese in Guelph. Well be back!

The food is good,The lady who took order was pleasant. But when I pickup the food the young man at the cash register was so miserable that when I asked if it was a tap he replied just read instruction.Most of my visa transaction is by tapping.

I am originally from the GTA and grew up on tasty, authentic Chinese cuisine from all the fantastic restaurants available in Richmond Hill, Markham, and Scarborough. Therefore, believe me when I say that this place will not disappoint you with its delicious flavours and massive portions. I felt right at home. Dont even get me started on the incredible service! The owner will personally greet you and give you dish suggestions as well as engage in friendly conversation. The server staff are transparent, sweet, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Guelph.

This place always gives fresh, warm and authentic taste in Chinese food. I honestly wish more of their dishes didnt have bones in them, because I would like to explore the menu. I ordered something with bones and it was a ridiculous amount lol, but honestly the food is really good. The food is also well priced, portions are alright. Very nice people & staff!

This is a weekly place for us. There are very few places that serve authentic Chinese food in Guelph. Even with lack of competition, Woks Taste still does a great job. They have two menus, Chinese and Canadian/American Chinese. They get busy on weekends so order early.

Honestly, I was rooting for this place to be good, even made the final decision for the whole gang to order here, and we did. The good Portions are pretty big so you wont be hungry The bad Hair in my rice, I feel like this happens so often, which means that there are no precautions made to avoid this issue. No excuse, so start wearing hair nets. Sesame Chicken was swimming in sauce, soggy and gross Told them we wanted a lot of hot sauce packets, got 3....yes 3 packets, it was a $130.00 order Having Hair in food is an automatic loss
