Food is fantastic but often understaffed so employees just ignore you for a while before they will even realize you are waiting. Bad ventilation and always have many bugs flying around.

Best place to eat after the bar!

They changed their fake meat burger patty and now it tastes terrible... it has no flavor and Its not juicy at all. They used to sell the Impossible Foods (or Beyond Meat) brand but whatever theyre using now tastes like low quality Cosco garbage.

Burger was good but could have been better. Cashier was unprofessional while assembling my burger midway she leaves and attends someone that just walked in and completely forgot about the burger which is getting ice cold now. One of the other employees finally caught on that the burger needs to be finished and packed. She Definitely needs more training on how to handle priorities management needs to address this.

Went to have lunch here and the employee was talking on their phone while cooking. There was something burning because it smelt bad and my eyes were stinging badly and started to tear up. Ordered a burger and two poutines seperately. The girl at the counter messed up the previous customers orders and was sorting that with them while still on the phone. They ordered two smalls but she charged them for a large size and was arguing that its the same so it didnt matter. While that was going on the food I ordered was burning in the background so she had to remake it causing us to wait even longer and also the burger still ended being burnt as well. Finally at the end she said we ordered a combo even tho we didnt and offered us a drink. Dont know if it was to make up for the wait and mess since we definitely didnt order a combo. Overall love philthy Phillys but this location is not a good representation of the brand. Overall upset with the experience.

My god first time grabing from here and I think this is now my 1st go to when ordering in my god is it good and the portions are on point for the price! Cant go wrong at all with these guys and when I asked for stuff on the side it actually came from door dash! Great services from them would love to no how to order from them instead of door dash

food is gas when you re drunk, when you re sober feels very greasy but still good excellent portion sizes when getting poutines only complaint is that the containers are left open which seems very concerning for delivery items from uber/doordash etc

Tonight night at around 1 am I was sitting on the chair next to the washrooms closed sign. All of a sudden I feel a fist on my back pushing me off the chair, the employee that cooks the food came around from the counter walked up behind me and used his fist to push me off while at the same time saying get off. Instead of using his words to politely ask me to get off, or asking the security which works inside the store to ask me to get off the male employee (white, black t shirt) pushed me off with no warning. When speaking to the security guard about what happened he explained it was in the heat of the moment. Horrible customer service you should never assault a customer for a reason such as sitting on a chair they shouldnt sit on.

Extremely expensive and not worth it at all. I can make a better burger at home for $13. Stay away if you want to find a meal that provides you value for your money and fills your stomach. Absolutely disgusting. Not even deserving of one star.

This is a $17 sandwich. Barely any meat, sauce in only 1 bite and look at the size of this regular which is an upcharge. I dont know what has happened to this place but its disappointing.

Iy was very busy when i went in, was told it would take a few minutes before i could order. I waited for over 15min just so the guy working there totally ignored me and started taking orders from other people while im standing infront of him. I left the store without ordering Will not be returning to this place! Disappointed!

The crew at Philtys is A+ Always fast, reasonably priced and greeted with a smile. 100% one of my go-to places to eat downtown.

Amazing poutine but satisfactory service, if ordering takeout they will usually forget the add-ons and drinks that cost almost as much as the pouteins. You get 50% of what you pay for but at least it tastes good !

Unfortunately their service has failed us time and time again. I do not think we will be back after today. All of the staff was outside sitting on the picnic tables. No one was working, they refused to cook more perogies on a Friday evening. Thankfully we did not order via app as no one was inside to accept the orders. They took forever to make our food and still made our food wrong.

The workers were so nice. I didnt feel awkward coming in to try a new place. The menu is bigger than what I thought it would be. I thought it was only a couple poutines (I cant account for everything they had as I went in for specifically that). Its on the wall and you can clearly read everything they have and the prices. The prices are good for how much you get. I had a pulled pork poutine. Fries were nice and crispy, curds melted well and the pulled pork is so darn good. Ill be a returning customer for sure.

Just okay poutine. They have A LOT of types of poutine which is good but I wish fries were more crispy and cheese curds were smaller. Prices are pretty decent though for a good amount of food. My son enjoyed it.

Just a small business that can really cook! Great poutine selections, and an amazing Philly cheese steak . Saw one of their burgers being served to someone else... Lets just say bring an appetite. You wont leave hungry or dissatisfied.

Improvements would help. Better customer service, teach staff to say hello and to engage with customers. Clean the place. It was filthy Price your food better so if the place is dirty and the staff isn t trying much your customer won t feel bitter about spending $15 on a dry poutine.

I always get the greasy veggie poutine with grilled veggies but tonight the girl who took my order was really hazy and my poutine had just gravy and cheese but no grilled veggies. She kept asking for the box size although I mentioned it already. I was basically charged for grilled veggie poutine but was given a classic poutine. When I complained she just kept arguing that s how greasy veggie poutine is. I would never come back again

If you are hungry . I mean real HUNGRY!!!! . Dont Go here I bought a double burger, and 17 dollars!!! I felt there are better options available around . That too in a pathetic packaging just wrapped in a foil paper and handed out and this whole 17 dollar burger could actually fit my small palm and for a moment i was like, are you trying to prank me? There are other restaurants who provide a whole meal with fries, salads etc. in this price . Immediately After finishing at philty phillys I had to go to osmos restaurant to fill my stomach trust me if you are real hungry, philthyphillys is not a good option!!!! The name is philthy phillys , so me as a customer expects something filthy and nasty to fill my tummy be it really junk with overflowing cheeses, juicy meats, not a regular burger at 17 dollars!!!!

I love the sandwiches. If want a hearty delicious sandwich with hearty proportion this is place. My only complaint and respect takes time for quality food. I would love to get off bus downtown order sandwich and make next bus 30 minutes later tried few times and failed . Tonight like last time got off bus ordered sandwich took 30 minutes to make missed next bus if was 25 minutes would of made it. If any recommendations. That I could get off bus and get a sandwich in under 30 minutes. Please do so. I do love your sandwiches. But a 10 hour day and takes me an hour stop over instead of 30 minutes to head home just not worth it for me. Was so frustrated tonight missing free bus with transfer. I spent an extra 12 dollars out of pocket to uber home just too tired to wait. . Last time unless you can suggest how can get a sandwich for pick up under 30 minutes. Will eat there obviously if chilling downtown. So for people Looking for a 30 minute stop over pick up dinner. This is not place. Too bad as downtown 2 minute walk from all bus stops at central square. Vegetarian options: Beyond and veggie sandwich.

I love this place so much. The food has always been delicious every time we order from here, and the always give you so many toppings so you really get what you play for. My only complaint, and it s really just a personal preference, is that there isn t really enough sauce on the sandwiches but I m kinda weird in that I like a ton of sauce on my stuff. I can t wait to try something new next time my family orders from here!!

Very pleasant staff and the food was excellent. Bread was just the right ratio to filling and soft. Meat was of good quality as was the provalone I chose for the cheese. Drove from Cambridge just to try it out. Well done!

Horrible packaging! Picked up my poutine, put it my bag, walked in normal pace to home, when opened it the poutine was completely destroyed and the gravy was all over the place! Non of the gravy was actually left on the poutine

I run a Amazing Race event for birthdays and gatherings. I sent a group over to Phillys for lunch they loved it! The owner was just amazing and took part by handing out the next clue. Our group has their picture up on the wall for great memories. Food was wow dont forget dessert flavor explosion in your mouth. Yummy! Thank you for helping to make the day ever better!

Love this place! If youre a fan of old-school philly cheesesteaks with the option of modern condiments, this is for you. Staff is always kind and welcoming. My only problem with this place is that you pay a lot more than you should for a single sandwich. I shouldnt have to pay $15 for your philthy aka largest sized cheesesteak that still leaves me hungry. Hoping you can increase portion size, but past that, very tasty!

Ordered for the first time last night... 25 dollars for a box of fries that was half empty with wet limp fries, a tiny patty half the size of the bun and a 1 inch thick slice of FROZEN chocolate cake! ( I had stomach cramps all night and have had the runs all day so far... thanks for the food poisoning Phil. Filthy food is an understatement.)

Probably the best Philly cheesesteak I ve ever had. I m flabbergasted by the taste of everything. Super good bread too makes the sandwich that much better.

This is a dive on every sense of the word and if u want a great cheese steak, u wanna come here... no real sit in place to eat, a few window stools, 5 or 6 in all, not much to look at... but the staff were very easy to deal with, were very patient to a new comer ordering and the food is well worth the trek inwards. This restaurant reminds me why I am not afraid to try new places, no matter where because you get gems like these...

So I walked in at approximately 7:30pm. I was so excited to try place this for the first time only to be told sorry we arent taking any more orders because were running out of food. I called 20 minutes later to see if they were taking orders and guess what the person said, Of course we are. That made me to angry.

Being tired of the same old things to eat, I jumped on Google to look for new places. I was so excited when I saw Philthy Phillys is in Guelph! I went on lunch and had the INCREDIBLE buffalo ranch poutine. I brought it back to the shop to eat and all the guys were wondering where I went. Now we have poutine Fridays and trust me its the highlight of our week!!! *huge portions *great food *the nicest staff

Ive been eating here for almost a year now, hands down the best poutine Ive ever had. The toppings are in such a generous quantity and the the potatoes are carefully chosen and hand cut. All the staff are incredibly friendly and accomodating. I highly highly reccomend this place. Would give 100 stars if possible.

This restaurant is incredible. They have unlimited options for food and the quality is impeccable. I would highly recommend the Big Texan sandwich as it is one of my all time favourites. Very filling and extremely flavourful.

Dont think, just go!!! Every new philly I try is better than the last. Be careful, its addicting. Havent tried their desserts yet but the selection is ridiculous, as well as the poutines.

Food not upto the mark.

This place is ok nothing special the philly cheese steak was pretty dry even with sauces on it and had almost no cheese on it, the poutine was meh lacked cheese and the gravy was pretty salty

So upset with absolutely everything regarding this place. Customer service was TERRIBLE. For example, I simply asked if a sandwich contained crispy or grilled chicken and I was laughed at by the cashier. After feeling pressured and worried to ask any more questions I settled for something I had already had instead of being able to try something new... the poutine was absolutely DISGUSTING. Appears as though the oil for the fries hasnt been changed in months, 80% of my french fries were dark brown or black, basically inedible. Everything I ordered was cold. I have been going here for about once every month or two the past three years and I will never return after how I was treated tonight. The music being played publicly in the restaurant was also quite vulgar. The cashier working 06/09/21 deserves to be fired for the way they spoke to me.

Went in with the intention of getting a sandwich and ended up ordering a double patty burger. Was delicious and will be returning. Had a regular poutine and was very satisfied!

Best cheese steaks

Sandwich barely had any cheese, and the beef was super dry. Got 2 cheesecake slices as well, each cost $8.99 for a thin slice. Worst part is it came totally frozen and was not edible unless left out for another 4-5 hours. Definitely would not recommend this place.

Had the best Philly cheese steak sandwich Ive ever had. Was fresh and juicy. Fries were cooked perfectly and not over salted. The staff were very pleasant and had some great recommendations for a first time visit. 10/10 will be back.

Picked up a poutine and two burgers last week. Even after an almost ten minute ride home, the food was awesome! The burgers were so good in fact that I called the store to let them know how great they were and that I would definitely be back. I highly recommend this spot, you wont be disappointed! (By the way, I am very picky with food!)

Perfect poutine

First time ordering today, I was craving some sort of crazy poutine. I decided to go with a philthy sized cheese burger poutine...man O man you did not disappoint!!!! This was the biggest poutine Ive ever seen , so delicious I cant wait to try different menu items.

Went to get cheesesteaks today but it was closed early, so I decided to write a review because I appreciate them. Me and my buddies get philly s after the gym about once a week or so, usually Tuesday. I find it a little bit pricey but extremely delicious. I have legitimately never ordered their cheesesteaks without wishing I had gotten at least 1 more. If they ever mess anything up, they do not try to guilt you or anything, they just fix it.

Sooooo good. I came here at one point, and got a burger. Two patties, onion crisps, barbecue sauce etc, best burger Ive ever had. And I went back the next day to get another. And for $12! And of course, theyre Philly cheesesteaks are to die for.

First time visiting this evening. Ordered a poutine. Just the original. Could have used more cheese and definitely more gravy. Half way down it was just french fries in a box, thankfully I had ketchup. But totally took away from the poutine I had be craving.

We ordered Philthys for the first time last night, and used Skip the Dishes. I ordered the 4oz cheesesteak with provolone, mushrooms, onions, green pepper and ranch sauce. My bf had the 6oz cheesesteak with provolone. We shared the fries with a side of gravy. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The bread was fresh, moist, with a slightly toasted top. The toppings on both cheesesteaks were generous. The steak was very flavourful. Fries are obviously fresh-cut, and the gravy was good. We were both really full after our meal. I really look forward to eating this again!

The Grow-Op Burger (with Beyond Meat patty) is so good! If you are a vegetarian looking for a tasty burger place, I cannot recommend Philthy Phillys more. I was super impressed, these guys put a lot of effort in to their food.

This place is the best hands down

If you want philly cheesesteak in Guelph this is certainly the place to have it. There are a multitude of options when it comes to cheesesteaks with easy choice of onions, mushrooms and/or green peppers, along with plenty of cheese varieties and sauces (the Philthy sauce is highly recommended). The staff were incredibly nice, offering to close the door for me when I said I was eating in (there are not a ton of seats however there are a few bar-like counters). Overall experience was phenomenal and I will definitely be returning in the future.

Delicious food and friendly service

Uhhhh. Got the Cheesesteak poutine. Says it comes with cheezewiz, which is gross and should be replaced with anything else. In any case, my poutine came without the promised cheesewiz. Wasnt overly disappointed because who wants that anyway, but still a mark against the service. And then the poutine wasnt great. The sauteed onions were minuscule in size, the curds tidy, the gravy sorta bland. And the kicker, they keep their fries in a freezer and pull them out right in front of you when you order. Like... Wendys doesnt even do that. Overall, very subpar for a poutine place.

We just got a super fresh delivery from Philthy Phillys. My hubs ordered a burger and the pulled pork poutine and I had the philly cheese steak sandwich with a regular poutine and a Greek salad. Everything was so fresh! Even in the midst of this pandemic. Portion size perfect! And perfectly priced! Well done!

Ordered from Uber Eats twice this week. Awesome fries and really good gravy for package gravy. These folks understand that a cheesesteak is only good if the bread is right. Must be soft! Also Coke is icey cold. Yum.

I got a small traditional Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms, peppers and onions, which was only $5, and a regular chicken bacon ranch poutine for $11.99. The sandwich was great. Made fresh, great ingredients and super filling. The poutine I shared with my mom, and it was also great. The chicken and bacon were crispy, the fries were hand cut and made to order, the gravy was delicious. All around, just great food. If there was any downside, it s that the poutine was a bit pricey. But the cheesesteak sandwich was very well priced, and made with fresh steak and veggies. Would definitely go there again and would love to try the other items on the menu. Great guys at the counter too, very friendly and chatty.

Mark and Brian were awesome I am new to Guelph and they showed the best Hospitality I was taking my dog for a walk and she was thirsty I was hungry they hooked me up with a sandwich and fries and a pop.. and then Mark came out and gave my dog some fried steak and a dish of water

Was literally a last second decision to come all the way from Brantford because me and my friend were craving Philly Cheesesteak so we googled it and found this place. 45 minutes later we are chowing down on this delicious goodness. Bread was super soft, steak was perfectly cooked. Staff was also super friendly considering it was 1am on a bar night. Will for sure be back! Definitely get the Philthy size!

Very accommodating - I want sure what I could order that was vegetarian as the had one item on their menu but they suggested modifications to their menu items which turned out delicious. Their portions are so generous!

I literally eat at this place every weekend I can get the chance, always get a cheese steak with a poutine. this place May very well be the reason I suffer from an early heart attack but I mean that in a positive manner. 6 stars.
