Finding street parking was a bit hard on a Friday night. Club next door, does not help. Patrons from the club were allowed to use the washroom while we were there. Service is good, the staff knew if noodles did have eggs in them (they don't we were told). The interior clean. The Hot and Sour Soup was OK. Nothing that stood out, if I were to say less spicy and less tangy than we were expecting. The Medium Size was also smaller than we expected. The Manchurian Pakoras were way mushy and did not stood up to the gravy. A good sign is that they are still bit crispy. The Noodles, fairly good. Good amount of veggies however the overall quantity of the noodles were probably half of we get elsewhere. It would be nice if they could amp the flavour a bit and quantity as well.
I’ve visited the restaurant twice within a week. First time I had dinner and was blown away by their food. It was not only mouthwatering but the missing piece of HAKkA food in Guelph. This is a Nepalese origin restaurant serving authentic Nepalese & Indian & Chinese food fusion. The food served is adequate quantity for 2 people. Also came back for their weekdays Lunch menu from 11.30 am - 3 pm. & wasn’t disappointed. They have a set menu for you to chose from for only $12.99+tax. They have similar offer for dinner too at $14.99+tax. They prepare food fresh so please allow 15 minutes to prepare the food. The dining arrangement is cozy. Very well maintained and clean place. Their steamed chicken momo has to be their signature dish. The serve Halal food too. The server Rachna is another person to look out for with her warm hospitality. Only challenge is limited street parking other than that I would highly recommend this place.
I recently dined in at this Hakka restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious – every dish was made with authentic flavours and cooked to perfection. The service was equally remarkable. Despite being a busy time, the staff were attentive and friendly throughout our meal. They were quick to take our orders. Highly recommended!
Dropped in to grab some takeout. First time here and will be our last time unfortunately. Daughter had butter marsala? momos that had black spots on one side of them. She said it looked like they were burnt on one side and tasted undercooked on the other. She did really like the sauce and there was lots of it. I had fried chicken momos (was told they were a big seller), that came with an extremely small container of sauce, that just didn't look very appetizing to me, and if there was actually chicken in them, I couldn't find it. Extremely disappointed with what we got for almost $40 (included 20% tip). Would have gone back to show them but live out of town. Thank you for your reply to my review. The burnt pieces were on the ones that were slathered in the sauce. I will take your advice to try the steamed momos but I will be trying them at a different restaurant Momo House in Cambridge I've heard very good things about them.
I ordered takeaway from Hakka Guelph for the first time, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. I ordered the chilly chicken dry and spicy garlic prawn dry, both of which were far too oily. The excessive oil made the dishes inedible, and the flavors were completely off. The food was greasy and lacked the freshness or balance you'd expect from a decent meal. I had to throw most of it away because it was just too unpleasant to eat. Definitely not worth the price, and I won't be ordering from here again.
I really had high hopes for this place. The service is great and the flavours of the food was were amazing. However, the quality of the beef and chicken were very poor. The taste of the meat was not fresh- kinda stale and stinky. The food would be 5/5 if they pay attention to the type of cuts they incorporate into their meals.
They have a lunch special. Starter and main for $12. I had the Hot and Sour Soup and Chilly Chicken with rice (recommended by the owner). Two small spring rolls on top. Moreover, I had a Mango Lassi which was fine. The soup was great - I liked it very much. The chicken was nothing special: run-of-the-mill type... The waitress was friendly, and the owner was ok. For 12 Dollar it was fine.
Must try this new gem in Guelph! Hakka beef was delicious. Served hot. Side rice was really nice. Mango Lassi also tasted great. Fast service. Great decor. Will be coming back any chance I get!

Pathetic food. I ordered take out and spent more than $60 however regretted it. I have ordered twice from this place, the first time was also very bad but I thought it might happen sometimes but I ordered again different things and again it was pathetic.

Literally the worst pad Thai I ve ever tasted. Noodles were congealed and not cooked thoroughly. Asked for no spice and it was quite spicy. Didn t really have any flavour. Was supposed to be veg pad Thai but not really any veg in it ..

ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT! I ordered spicy garlic chicken and chicken chopsey. I file like both of them were made in the same gravy. The gravy wasnt spicy, noodles were too chewy, and chicken was stale. Spent $35 and it was a waste of money. Blue chopstick is way better in taste, they have larger portions and cost is also lower. Never coming to this place again. Will also tell all my friends to not come here.

Extremely BAD food . We ordered chilli chicken dry and the chicken was stale and smelly . Chicken Noodles were also of not good quality as per food standards . Will never recommend anyone to have food at this restaurant. And staff was also not bothered with our concern & complaint.please do not Visit this restaurant. They don t deserve single star as well

I live in Guelph and am pretty much a foodie with preferences for South Indian, North Indian and Hakka cuisine in that order. I went to Hakka Guelph for the first time today and after tasting the food told my wife we don t have to go to Mississauga any more for Hakka food . We had soup, chicken lollipop, spicy fried cauliflower, mango salad, chicken fried rice and chilli chicken and each one of those tasted great. This place has great food, good interiors and prompt service. I would recommend this place to anyone considering this place. I asked for the owner and ended up having a chat With Suresh who started the place 3 months ago. I wish him and this business great success and will be back soon.

Ordered Sweet Corn Soup, Vegetable Manchurian and Hakka Noodles. Noodles, had a really good flavour. Sweet Corn Soup, not sure if the chef tried to add a little too much sugar to compensate for the taste of bland seasoning. Vegetable Manchurian (Dry), I tried to like it but it was too oily as if Manchurian were soaked in oil. Giving 2 just because vegetable hakka noodles had good flavour.

I recently visited this Hakka Chinese restaurant in Guelph, and I was really impressed! I tried a few dishes, but the Thai Crispy Beef was by far my favorite. It was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and had this amazing balance of sweet and spicy flavors. The portion was good. What made the experience even better was the owner. He came by our table to check in, and you could tell right away how much he cares about his restaurant. He was so friendly and welcoming, and it s clear he s really passionate about the food they serve. It made the whole experience feel more personal. I ll definitely be coming back, and I d recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and great service!

Dropped in for a bowl of hot and sour soup and szechuan noodles. The soup was very good. I didnt especially like the canned mushrooms but that is normal for most hot and sour soups. The noodles were bright red and spicy. Quite tasty. Was my first time and I will be back. Also try the fried spring rolls...

DON T WASTE YOUR MONEY ORDERING THEIR VEG MOMOS HORRIBLE TASTE !!!!! I ordered veg momos yesterday from this place and it was the worst momos I have had my entire life. There was a weird off putting taste of the cabbage filling . The menu was misleading as well. I ordered pan fried and they gave me chilli stir fired momo. I ordered it after seeing the raving reviews of momos that was left for this place . You all need to either completely change your veg momo recipe or if you can t then please remove it.

Finally good Hakka in Guelph! This place still has a few details to work out (music would help the atmosphere for dine-in, service got our orders mixed up, beef was a little tough) but for a brand new spot I expect some room for improvement. The food was very good. Sauce and soup is everything I have been missing since leaving Mississauga. Dinner special was great value and the food was very tasty. Recommend the chicken over the beef.
