Authentic Italian pizza and pasta made fresh daily in house from scratch. Vast selection of Italian wines stored at the optimal temperature inside our wine vault.
Had a great dinner last night at the Pizzeria! Our waiter Michael suggested a nice bottle of Primitivo ($48) to accompany our delicious burrata appetizer and our main thin crust pizza, Perfect! The atmosphere is lively and the patrons enjoying themselves over excellent food. Our invoice was $96, fantastic, see you soon!
Thought we'd try a new Italian restaurant and so glad we did. Started with an appetizer... The calamari was amazing, super tender. I had the pasta bolognese, and it was incredibly tasty and the pasts was perfectly AL dente. Hubby had the Ossobuco with saffron risotto and devoured it... It was EXCELLENT. . . Ended with THE best crème BRÛLÉ we've ever had, it was very siilky and creamy, perfect combination of Madagascar vanilla and lemon. Our server Bella was incredible. Highly recommend.
Firstly, the pizza was excellent. No complaints about that whatsoever. The service left a lot of be desired. While our server was nice enough when he was at our table, it seemed like we were the least of his concerns. Most notably, every single table in the restaurant was provided bread, oil and vinegar, except us. He provided no explanation and even walked by to say that we wouldn’t have to wait long for our pizzas, seeing as we had an empty table while everyone around us at least had bread. Secondly, our white wine was served in a stemless glass. They had several stemmed glasses available but chose not to use them for our table. While these are generally small details, seeing all the other tables treated significantly differently just ruined the experience. Will likely not be back, but may order takeout because the food was good.
Best pizza in town- finally a place worth the money, service was amazing - will definitely go back again soon.
The food and service 11/10. Shayla is a wonderful service very personable and quick! The bruschetta was the best and most authentic bruschetta I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Also the espresso martini was so good
La Cucina impressed me with their authentic and delicious pizza. The flavors were spot-on and the service was remarkably fast, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. If you're in the mood for a true taste of Italy, I highly recommend this restaurant. A great find for pizza lovers!
Very nice Italian restaurant in downtown Guelph. The service was great, very attentive server who brought out complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic. The food came out quite fast and was very delicious.
I recommend giving La Cucina Pizzeria a try. Everything we tried was fresh and flavourful. We started off the meal with a peach nectar Bellini which was tasteful and unique, although slightly pricey. Next, we tried the Charcuterie board and the selection of meats were fantastic! However, the addition of some crostini would have been great. For our main, we tried the Calzone as well as the Pesto Ravioli and both of these dishes were excellent. We finished our meal off with Crème Brûlée and a Latte Macchiato. I thought the prices were very reasonable and will definitely go back when in the mood for some Italian food.
The Burrata, Caprese and Arugula salads were on point. The charcuterie board was like anywhere, good ingredients simply presented. Grilled eggplant could be cooked a bit more but the grilled peppers on top were gorgeous. NY striploin was done properly and tasty. Decor and atmosphere was upscale Italian modern. Lovely.
Best tiramisu in town, great wine selection
The service was lovely and the food spectacular. Very satisfied.
Service great. Food the best , wine even better. Love coming here
Great little spot- get the beef ravioli!!
This is the best restaurant experience we ve ever had in Guelph.
Amazing pizza! Crust perfectly cooked and flavorful. Wait staff was very friendly. Needed to get to a play and the food was ready in great time. Will definitely go again!
Came here on a Saturday evening. The outdoor dinning was covered with an umbrella. One perk is that you can bring your dog. The restaurant is situated in downtown Guelph, is clean and beautiful on the inside. I tried the buratta , salumi e formaggi, pasta el pomodoro, vegetariana white pizza, and the branzino fish special served with vegetables and potatoes. The food was really good, but for an Italian restaurant, I m surprised they didn t carry chilli oil, which is a staple!
Been here multiple times, always awesome!
Our favourite date night spot for pasta in Guelph! My boyfriend loves the Pizza Rolls, ask for marinara on the side(we used the calamari one). We got the Rigatoni Allá Genovese & braised beef ravioli with Black Truffle sauce, we both agreed the Genovese was definitely top teir! Highly recommend!
It was my first experience going there but for sure won t be the last. Service is great but the pizza is simply amazing. A gem in the downtown of Guelph. A must try. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pizza is available plus more than one salad option
Michael was absolutely amazing! Made our experience so wonderful. Plus our meals were phenomenal!
Great service, wonderful hip vibe inside, and delicious food! Went with my family for my fathers birthday and everyone had a great experience. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: Were able to accommodate vegan diet
Good bread, a bit slow though.
Michael is the best EVER! If you are looking for great food, amazing atmosphere and drinks this is the place for you. 10/10
Obsessed with this restaurant and obsessed with Michael. Michael is 99.9% of the reason why I come back here. The service, the vibe, and just Michael as a person that type of vibe cannot be replicated. La Cucina Pizzaria and La Cucina are the only two restaurants in Guelph that I go to.
From the moment we walked in and was greeted and sat by Micheal ! His service is outstanding ! The food is amazing ! If you re looking for an authentic spot with top notch service . Look no further this is the place ! My favourite table is the one by the window, we will see you again ! Many thanks for such wonderful hospitality : )
The food is a bit expensive but I had one of the best pizzas I ever tried. Service was great but it was pretty loud in there.
First time at La Cucina. Excellent food and vibe. The patio was a great spot for a date night. Our server Michael was awesome and gave us great food and drink recommendations!
Steak was over cooked twice. Probably my fault, should ve ordered pasta.
A point of reference for my trips to Guelph, the food is 100% Italian, the location is also excellent. Either on site or with delivery I can satisfy my culinary cravings even in Canada. Well done to all the staff members and the chefs in the kitchen, highly recommended.
We were family of 4 and we unfortunately had the worst service . waiter was unpleasant and was rushing us and not wanting to hear anything we had to say. food was okay but because of bad service we didn t enjoy our meal. my son wanted a simple Alfredo past and waiter kept saying not possible he is only 9 years old and didn t want anything extra and we wanted still pay the same price as as any pasta dish. server was a meddle age gentleman. if you want to have family dinner avoid this restaurant.
Wheelchair accessibility: The wheelchair accessible both in the restaurant and the bathroom was excellent help for me.. the male server was excellent and made are visit excellent and the male service was very helpful to us.. I felt like I was in Italy I would recommend this place to try .. Recommended dishes
Amazing experience that made a horrible day better!
Great meal. First time there. We will be back.
Michael and the hostess were amazing! We loved the ambiance and experience and will be back soon. Thank you so much.
We have been to LaCucina multiple times to the other locations, however this specific one did not make me feel welcomed and not want to go back
My daughter, Veronika took me out for Mother s Day, it was both our first time eating here. Let me tell you.. the drinks were good, the pizza was delicious and our server, Shayla was AMAZING. She definitely made us feel welcome!! She was friendly and sweet!! She deserves a raise. TBH Thank you Shayla so much. Definitely coming back
Excellent service and great food, venue was a bit squishy. Overall good experience!
One of the best, if not the best, restaurants in downtown.
Overpriced for the poor service and food. We went there to celebrate a special occasion and got served raw spaghetti and cold bread. The ingredients were not fresh either. The differences were night and day in every aspect compared with the Kitchener location. We will stick with the Kitchener branch going forward.
What a wonderful evening. I made reservations with Michael the week prior for a birthday celebration for 4 people. I asked if it was acceptable to bring in a cake and he said absolutely and would take care of serving it. The dinner was perfect, our friends commented on how wonderful the rhythm of the service was. We never wanted for anything and the food was so very good. Michaels presentation of the birthday cake was seamless and delightful for all of us. His intuition and extraordinary service made this birthday dinner absolutely unforgettable. I cant thank you enough.
First time they accommodate our party of 4 late celebration of valentines. Good ambient and neat and clean . Was busy but we were well care and food amazing fresh and tasty.
From the moment you step into La Cucina Pizzeria, its clear that they prioritize not just great food, but also outstanding customer service. And if youre fortunate enough to be served by Michael, youre in for a real treat! Michaels approach to service is what sets La Cucina apart. Hes not just attentive and efficient; he brings a level of enthusiasm and warmth that transforms a simple meal into a memorable dining experience. He has a knack for making each customer feel like a VIP, always going above and beyond to ensure your comfort and satisfaction. In an age where genuine customer service is a rare gem, Michael shines bright. Highly recommend visiting La Cucina and experiencing Michaels exceptional service firsthand!
Went for dinner here last night. The serving staff were great but the food was extremely disappointing. I got the Ossobuco as a main with risotto. The veal was extremely chewy, over cooked and did not have much flavour. The risotto was very bland and did not have much flavour either. The person I was with ordered the gnocchi which was also very bland. We got the arancini as an app and it was cold and the marinara sauce it was served with was also cold. I was very disappointed as I had heard good things about this restaurant. Again the staff were great and the atmosphere was also enjoyable.
Very Italian! From the pizza to the wine! Loved it so much and visit again! Food
Very good food and professional friendly staff and service.
Amazing Pizza. Will Definitely be back. Food
We had our company Christmas gathering. Everything was fantastic.
Fantastic service, excellent food, great atmosphere. Vegetarian options: Fair selection on the pizza and pasta menu. Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible however there is a step up to the washrooms.
Older waiter is racist, when I come in to the door, instead of offering a table he ask me are you here for uber eat delivery there is nothing wrong to be an uber driver, but assuming your customer is not good thing, is that because I am asian with color you will assume, coz when my personal drive white you did not ask anything. And when I confront the older waiter why he need to assume if I am uber driver, he did not response or acknowledge my polite question instead he walk away. He really guilty of racism.
Awesome every time!!!
Amazing restaurant with great food. Went for my birthday and the staff was very accommodating to a large group of 18! Staff were very friendly and I will definitely be going back!
My partner and I came to this location last night for some pizza and I was not disappointed. I love Italy and I love traveling and Ive tried all sorts of different types of food and the pizza here is absolutely delicious. The dough is so fresh and nice and light and the toppings are fresh. The staff was so friendly. The restaurant was clean and the drinks were amazing. We will definitely be back. Thank you nice meeting you guys!
Food was delicious!! 5 star Pizza
Very nice space but overpriced food. Could definitely make better food at home.
the best restaurant ever, reminds me of living in italy
Everything we had here was great. The service is top notch and the food is spectacular. Id highly recommend the Osso Bucco. It comes on a creamy bed of risotto. Ask about their house hot sauces as well! We will definitely be back!
We recently hosted a large family gathering for my daughter s baptism here and it was phenomenal! All our guests raved about how delicious the food was, and how friendly the staff were. My husband and I are still talking about how yummy each item was and when we can go back to dine in again! The staff was so kind to our guests and so amazing with our little kids. A huge thank you to the staff and the manager who made our experience here so incredible! Kid-friendliness: My daughter ran up and gave our server a huge hug at the end of the meal. He was so kind and patient with the kids!
Have been here many times now. Everything I have ordered has been great! Service is excellent and the restaurant is really nice with an impressive wine selection! Strongly recomend
Had an amazing dinner last night - the fish special was swordfish and it was delicious. Our group had a lovely evening - thank you Michael and team
Our first time and it wont be our last. Calamari is amazing and pasta was fresh! Our server was excellent and helped us decide on our choices! Food
Ive had a wonderful dining experience
Amazing pasta and burrata! I look forward to enjoying their pasta every time Im in town
My husband and I spent our one year wedding anniversary dinner here and it exceeded all our expectations. We have been to the more formal La Cucina, which is also incredible, but this was our first time at pizzaria location. First and foremost was Michaels service. It was top notch and made our dinner that much more special. He truly knew exactly how present he needed to be, anticipated our every need and paced our dinner in a way that truly elevated our experience. Next, the drinks and food. Divine. We had the charcuterie for 1 and shared. It was more than adequate in size and everything on the board was a treat. My husband had steak and I had Osso Buco and we were both happy with our mains. My meal was so rich and flavourful with the risotto cooked perfectly. The drinks were all delicious. We had wine and each had a cocktail. We will definitely be putting this place on our date night out list. My only complaint was the table we were seated at was VERY close to the hostess stand and i would have preferred more room.
Had a great time at La Cucina Pizzeria! Food was delicious, staff was wonderful and they did an awesome job with the venue!
The burrata was amazing. The tomatoes that accompanied it were amazingly fresh and ripe. Both pizzas were also amazing. Our server was fantastic, the patio was beautiful... we will definitely be back!
There for a birthday party. The food was divine as was the service. Highly recommend this place. Food
I took my wife for our first dinner at this location, after loving several meals at the sister restaurant, and it was incredible. The entire meal from apps and cocktails to the Ossobuco and the steak were perfect - but the standout was Michael, our server. Michael arrived promptly and was always there if a drink was getting low, but he never lingered for too long and was charming from the second we were seated until the moment we left. But aside from the fabulous service, the food really was delicious and we re going back again this weekend to try the pasta and pizza which also looked amazing.
Best pizza place in town.
I would like to start by saying Bravo to the staff and to the chef at this place. My wife and I had a celebration booked here for 23 people, and everyone was absolutely satisfied. From start to finish hands down some of the best service. Nyemu and Adrien were our servers that day, and the level of professionalism, attention, and just all-out great attitude they portrayed to us and our guests was greatly appreciated. The food was fantastic and well served, from the appetizers to the main dishes everyone was amazed at the presentation and the great flavors along with the speed that everything came out (not an easy task for such a large group) but they managed to pull it off and with style. Never did have the chance to meet and thank the chef, but thank you! Michael was our go-to from the start to get this all organized and planned. Pleasure to deal with. He did a great job and even stopped in on his day off from the place to check in with my wife and the staff. All in all, a great big thank you to everyone who was a part of making our sons day a memorable one. Look forward to coming back to our new go-to place. Ciao!
As good as it gets in Guelph....authentic Italian with amazing service....wine specials on Wednesdays (half price!!) Highly recommended Food
I must add that as a lover of pizza, I was particularly enamored with La Cucinas vegetable pizzas. The freshness and authenticity of the ingredients truly shone through in each bite. From the vibrant, roasted bell peppers to the perfectly charred zucchini, every vegetable was bursting with flavor and complemented the pizza wonderfully. The combination of flavors was a testament to the chefs expertise in creating balanced and delicious vegetarian options. One pizza that stood out to me was their Vegetariano, topped with a medley of grilled eggplant, artichokes, mushrooms, and sun-dried tomatoes. The harmony of these ingredients, along with the tanginess of the tomato sauce and the creaminess of the mozzarella, created a delightful symphony of flavors that left me craving more. I also appreciated that La Cucina offered a variety of vegetarian options, ensuring that non-meat eaters could enjoy a diverse selection of pizzas. The attention to detail and commitment to authentic taste was evident in every vegetable pizza I tried. If youre a vegetable lover like myself, La Cucina is a haven for delicious, authentic, and satisfying veggie pizzas. Its clear that they take pride in their craftsmanship and strive to deliver an exceptional dining experience for all their patrons.
Food wasnt the best. Pasta was too dry and non flavorful. Pizza was good. Our server was really nice.
Trendy place in downtown Guelph, one of the best outdoor patio setups easily. Food is great, they had a swordfish special the last time I dined here. Draft selection is good as well. Service is second to none, will definitely include this restaurant in my rotation.
Vegetarian options: Ok selection Kid-friendliness: Not really kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible but washroom could be cramped
We dined on the patio. Chairs are not most comfortable. Had lasagna and pizza. Mouse cake- tiny but delicious and creme brulee. Very good food and desserts.
Awesome place for Italian. Accomodated us a spot on the patio for a walk in. The bruschetta was amazing, the pizza was also delicious! Also had a great amaretto sour. All in all, great food, great service, will definitely be back. 4.5/5!
One of the best eateries in Guelph
Been here a few times, and food is generally pretty good. Strongly recommend the pizza over any of the pasta dishes. Was super disappointed in the guanciale in the pasta, which was stone cold and the fat was not even a tiny bit rendered. Really unpleasant and quite amateur.
One of the best spots for Italian food in Guelph! Very welcoming patio and beautiful location. Had a great server who took photos for us. She wasn t pushy at all and genuinely provided a great experience. We all enjoyed some amazing pizzas that were made to perfection. Only suggestion would be more crackers or bread with charcuterie boards, but they were loaded with everything else. Can t wait to go back and enjoy more!
I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. We were hesitant to stray from the likes of Gusto and Bread Bar but visited here for the first time august 31. From the drinks to the dessert, everything was fantastic. We had two fantastic apps in meatballs and arancini and then pizza and pasta followed a must at any Italian restaurant - tiramisu. We weren t looking for fine dining but we have fairly high standards - especially for Italian. Ambience (patio) was nice and service was great. Will absolutely be back.
We came to La Cucina to celebrate a birthday and Michael was the best server we have ever had! He went above and beyond! Definitely will be coming back
Everything amazing at the same time Dietary restrictions: Very helpful to remove items Kid-friendliness: No kids menu
Ordered pizza and wine. Both were great.
I have not been in, but have ordered delivery a bunch of times. All of the food I have tried is great, you can really tell the ingredients are fresh and high quality. My only gripe is how pretentious this place (the owners) are. The dishes have Italian names but the descriptions are written in French first then in English. So despite this restaurant being located in GUELPH, ONTARIO, CANADA, English is the third language on the menu.
Best service ever!
The customer service was not at all good. Rude and banging the glasses on the table. Ate one item and left
Had a great experience at La Cucina! Mike was our server, and he was very pleasant and helpful. Look forward to coming again! The Burrata was a great appetizer, this is the third time weve had it here! Recommend the Lasagna, the tortellini, and Alfredos pizza. Great food and service - keep it up!! Tuesday is pasta day, and Sunday is pizza day.
Mike was awesome. Simple great food. Would come back
Our server (Michael) was prompt and knowledgeable. His recommendations were great. the timing of the dishes was perfect. It was a wonderful experience.
A wonderful restaurant. Service was excellent and food was very good. Highly recommended.
Everything was great!! The pizzas were amazing with quality ingredients, and the waitress was very attentive.
We had a great evening, food was excellent
Just ate there tonight with family. never set foot in this place before but the service and food were great.. these folks do it right. Recommended
Such a lovely first experience here, we will be back! Service and hospitality were outstanding, food was delicious, wine list and prices are great, great atmosphere, good for groups, very accommodating. They care about their business and it shows. We re from out of town and will gladly return just to dine here!
Stellar. Our waiter was properly trained, and you can tell he knew the menu well... old-school waiter. The menu was simple and has all of the necessary staples to compare it to Buon Gusto, Piatto, and Sugo. The wine selection was also great. Overall a heavy contender for the best Italian in the city. My only gripe: the lights are super bright and they can be slightly intense.
We went for a company party, what a surprise, great place, great food, our server, Michael was really nice and friendly. Going back and bringing our family.
Ordered the Osso Bucco. Not a morsel of gremolata or any seasoning on the veal. The Risotto was rice boiled in water and not fully cooked. Extremely disappointing.
Ultimately a disappointing experience at La Cucina Pizzeria. As a regular at the La Cucina restaurant on Macdonell, I m a bit surprised this is the same restaurant. Service: To say the least, lacking. It truly felt like we were bothering our waiter tonight at our visit to La Cucina Pizzeria. We received very little information from the questions we had about the menu and felt rushed along to order our food. While other tables were brought the usual bread and olive oil, we didnt. When I asked what wine would pair well with our food order, our waiter replied you can have anything . This was a stark difference to the welcoming atmosphere at the other La Cucina, or other Italian restaurants downtown. Food: Good. The Ossobuco was delicious, as was the desert. The pizza we ordered came out lukewarm, and I d rate it on the lower end on pizza offerings downtown. In conclusion, I won t be rushing back to this location, and to be honest it s tarnished the La Cucina brand for me. For the price premium you pay, I d rather go to Buon Gusto or Piattos, to be honest.
Went to La Cucina Pizzeria as our first night out in a long time and it was highly disappointing. When we arrived at 7:30 for our reservation we had made earlier in the day through OpenTable they didnt have any record of it. I guess the reservation list was made that morning and we were made to feel as though it was our fault for making a same day reservation in the afternoon. Luckily they were able to seat us after about 10 minutes but I kind of wish they hadnt and we had gone somewhere else. We started with the fried calamari which came out suspiciously fast....and they were bland and chewy (even for calamari). The coating was crispy but barely; they could have used some extra time in the fryer. Then we waited ages for our pizzas and when they finally came out they were so sad and disappointing. Soggy. Not very hot. Zero presentation. The toppings looked like they had been literally thrown on by a 5 year old: one quarter of mine didnt have a single olive (there were maybe 5 total on the whole pizza) and then there were huge clumps of mushrooms. My partner got the Genovese which was picked based on the beautiful picture on the menu and it was certainly nothing like that. It was meant to come with roasted red peppers but instead came with barely cooked red and green bell peppers. And it was drowning in the pesto - the oil was literally dripping off. Also theres so many tables crammed into a tiny space that it was incredibly loud. So if you were looking for a quiet place to chat with a friend or loved one, this is not it. I felt like I was yelling the entire night and still couldnt be heard. All in all it was a very expensive and very disappointing first night back out. At least the wine we picked was good.
Hands down the best pizza I ve had. Fresh, hot and delicious. Pasta was fresh prepared and amazing. Atmosphere makes you feel like you re in the middle of Italy enjoying a night out.
The pizza and pastas are amazing! The portions are generous, and the staff are a delight! Many amazing wines to choose from as well! Certainly an authentic experience!
The food and service are great!!!
Dishes are full of flavor and well portioned. One of the best Aperol spritz Ive also ever had. Staff are super friendly and all menu items are reasonably priced. I will be going back!
Great place for food and quality wine.
I frequent the Kitchener location so I thought Id give this one a shot, the interior is amazing and really carries an awesome vibe with it - food has the same great quality, try the Gnocchi!
Great food, great staff
The food is super tasty and the service is quick and reliable. Would recommend to others.
The food was amazing and the experience was awesome!
Great service as well as food. Would definitely recommend.
Food and service was great, definitely coming back again!
Great food
The food was amazing and I highly recommend
Service was fantastic and quick, with great quality food. The pizza is great, my friend had the mussels and loved them. Would highly recommend!
Amazing food, and even better service! Highly recommend.
Food was amazing!! Great service, and staff. Better than richies
Without a doubt the highest quality pizza that you can buy in London. La Cucina is my go-to for dates. Classy establishment, not tacky like some larger chain restaurants.
Amazing food
Great food great atmosphere
Really good food and service! Honestly an overall great experience
Great service and even better food, great spot for a date or even just going out with families. Highly recommend, will be will become one of your favourite restaurants right away!
Great food! Great service!
Food was amazing with great service. Would definitely recommend.
Great food and customer service! Definitely will be coming back
Food and service are both amazing! Will definitely be returning for another.
Pizza was top-tier, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be returning soon!
Service was really good.
Amazing food and amazing service
Fantastic food. We went a group of friends. The pizza is delicious, the chocolate cake is divine. Everything we tried was amazing. The staff was excellent, friendly and quick. We will definitely go back.
Best pizza in town by far
Great service nice atmosphere and the food was great
Fantastic food. Great service. Family s new favourite spot in town.
I was here a week ago when the Ontario allowed restaurants to be opened. I found the food to be incredibly delicious. I also found the service to be exceptional. Given restaurants are having a problem getting staff I was shocked just how exceptional the experience was. Keep it up !!!!!
I am a big fan of the new La Cucina on Wyndham. I have always used the Macdonnel location as a place for work dinners, birthday and anniversaries. The new location has just as good a menu with more of causal fine dining vibe. A place to try incredible wines or just drop in for a mouth watering pizza which i have been doing to often recently. My go to pizza currently sorry dominos you have been replaced. Shereef Shiaty
Really nothing different about this place. Overpriced food, an okay atmosphere.. I ordered the meat lovers pizza and the crust was soggy as hell, felt like eating cooked dough that was drenched in water. Ill never return to this restaurant again, thats for sure.
Amazing service, atmosphere and food!! Will return to enjoy again, over and over.
Sadly disappointing experience at La culinary pizzeria, which is surprising since the other la cucina restaurant was really good. We booked a table on open table but they had no record of it, so we were greeted by a confusion while we waited for a table with no apologies. Our server was very unhelpful, hardly checked on us. I ordered a drink and it didn t come until our appetisers arrived which was almost 15 mins after we placed our order. We were not given any complimentary bread, but the table beside us was we had to remind our server to bring us balsamic and olive oil. Food was okay, the market fish was seasoned very well. The environment was very loud with lots of tables squished into a small space, I would not go again if I wanted to have a nice meal / date night as I couldn t even hear the other person. Overall not a great experience
Excellent service, vibe, cocktails and food. Bread tastes like authentic italy. Pasta was incredible! Highly recommend!
Guelphs trendiest new spot for sure. Love the ambiance and wine vault, as well as the food and service. The Tuscan red wines are a definite must try!! And save room for dessert! The creme Brulee and tiramisu are the best in the tricities!!
Great pizza and great cocktails!
Best pizza in town and atmosphere was excellent. Upscale and service was great. Highly recommended.
Stunning renovation completed in this recently opened restaurant in the downtown core of Guelph. Equaled by the friendly staff, tasty food, reasonably priced. Go give them a try.
Great service, nice restaurant. Reasonable price. Food fairly simple.
Great pizza!
Disappointed 1st timer. Been to KW many times, pizza always fabulous! Not so much at the Guelph location unfortunately. Saver your $$, go to KW.
Excellent pizza. Very authentic. As good as in pizzerias in Italy.
Great experience good vibe
Great Ambiance. Food was Delicious! Most Definitely Will Be Back and Recommend
Excellent food and service
I was in a party of six who recently ate at this restaurant. I found the food overall decent with the exception of the pizza. It was undercooked with a soggy texture and not at all what I would have expected.
Very over priced and low quality. Margarita pizza was basically a cheese pizza. And the calzone was mostly dough and undercooked toppings inside. Disappointing especially after so many good reviews.
Mmmmm!
Food is amazing
We ate there Saturday July 8,The dining room, was clean ,pizza , pasta risotto The waiter was pleasant but his cologne was so strong,it made me almost sick, could not recommend this restaurant
Excellent food, service and value. Half price wine on Wednesday s and friendly service from Adrian. Ossobuco was tender, burrata was creamy and delicious.
Pizza was terrible and the pasta was under cooked.
Its a great place for Italian food in a casual atmosphere.
We had high expectations for this restaurant as an authentic Italian food. However, amongst the four of us that dined there, none of us enjoyed our meal... and we all had something different. The lasagna was inconsistently heated and mushy which suggested it had been frozen and reheated. The porchini mushrooms which are always flavourful were mushroom bits and had no flavour even though they were a main component of a meal. The sauces were thin and runny. On top of this the meal prices were high compared to other local Italian restaurants and not nearly as good. Also, the wine was very expensive ($12 or more for 6oz) for very ordinary wines. On the positive side, the tiramisu was very good and the service was great. However, we not be returning to this restaurant as there are many more great options available locally.
We took our guests from Charleston SC here for dinner and did not have a good meal. The apps were well done but the mains (gnocchi and ravioli) were extremely under seasoned. My arugula pesto ravioli was so bitter I couldn t eat it. We ordered a $240 bottle of wine which was good but the waiter spilled it on my husband, broke a wine glass on the table, and then when cleaning it up, broke the decanter. Thankfully the wine was done! The server seemed annoyed and I wouldn t describe him as friendly. A disappointing and sort of embarrassing experience when trying to take our foodie friends out for a nice meal. Both mentioned if the food was like this in Charleston, the restaurant wouldn t last a month in the competitive food scene. Hope they can up their game.
Excellent attentive service from our server Kim and the staff. Spacious outdoor patio. Great food. The prices are fair based on the food quality, service and central location.
A small sister wine bar to the popular La Cucina just around the corner. A great selection of all the classics, plenty of pizza, and a good sized wine list at all price points. There is a cute temporary patio in the summer and plenty of seating inside. Lots of daily specials including half price bottles of wine on Wednesdays. Get dessert. A perfect spot for a date.
It was fine, I just didnt feel the food was particularly unique or special. Service was good and the employees were friendly and helpful
We reserved a table here last evening for my fiancees birthday after hearing such great reviews. We were taken care of by a great server by the name of Adrian. He recommended some amazing pizzas and a very decent wine. Service was 10 out of 10 and food was superb! We will definitely be back!
Excellent! Service was amazing. Food was fantastic. We enjoyed the calamari, arancini, and 2 pizzas! Espressos were perfect. We felt like we were in Italy. Way to go Alfredos La Cucina in Downtown Guelph. You get my vote! Well be back!
So many gluten free options!
Food is just, meh! Each of the items we ordered were salty and the service was not so good. Two stars only for the drinks which were really good.
Nice to sit at the bar and watch the pizza chef at work
Terrible service despite great pizza. Went here for dinner with my brother and his girlfriend. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks to the table after ordering. After they arrived we were ready to order our food however our server told us they would have to come back to take our order. Ten minutes later they arrived and took our order of 2 salads and 3 pizzas. The salads came out very quickly however the pizzas took almost 45 minutes to arrive. Considering this style of authentic pizza cooks very quickly in a wood fired oven this was unacceptable. While we were waiting we watched another table be seated and served pizza and appetizers. When I inquired about this, our waitress said the kitchen was backed up and walked away before I could respond. The pizza was good but I really cant emphasize the terrible service considering there were at least 2 other outdoor servers and only roughly 10 tables on the patio. Considering i can get that style of meal at 2 or 3 other places on the same street I wont be returning.
Delicious wine ,appetizers, dessert and we really enjoyed the lasagna ! Attentive wait staff and overall great atmosphere ! We will return.
Very Disappointed. Arrancini in Bologneae Sauce labeled as vegetarian. Slow service , watered down Arrabiatta sauce. Jar sauce is better. Would have been a 1 star, but the Pizza is decent. Do better!
Girls night out - great service and dessert board was amazing!
Location, design and stuff is a 10. But advertising a woodoven pizza and than actually cooking it with gas instead of Wood is very wrong.
Loved it all - best food Ive had in Canada so far. Service was great. Restaurant has style without being pretentious. Pity about the TV up on the wall but at least its just one.
Terrible, terrible, terrible service. I am a server myself so I often sympathize with other servers and give them the benefit of the doubt but Nyemu was terrible. Not friendly what so ever, very slow. We were trying to get her attention for 30 minutes after she delivered our food to order more drinks and ask about an allergy pertaining one of the dishes. She dropped the food and didn t return until well after we had finished our meal. Food was mediocre, I would say Italian inspired over authentic at best.
Very cool spot. Great food and amazing service by professional wait staff. We just stopped in and grabbed a place at the bar for some amazing apps and drinks. Weve shown up before with reservations and its an easy choice. Its not fine dining but definitely upscale.
The pizza is the best thing on the menu in my opinion, the pasta was not the greatest lasagna was very cheesy didnt taste much noodle, and gnocchi was a weird flavor almost like the potatoes were going bad not sure what it was but after three bites my stomach started to turn. The Appletini was a great drink choice I had both times! I did really enjoy the Italian rice balls they were great and I dont like peas but I didnt even taste them!!
Love the food here. Very authentic Italian. Chef is from Italy. Amazing Italian wine list!
By far the best Italian restaurant in the area, the Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese is amazing! And they have excellent pizza as well
Best pizza and pasta in town! Great selection of wine as well.
Best pizza in town! Can t wait to go back
I went here over the weekend and had a great meal. The serving staff was very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Great food and service, one of the best spots on Richmond row
Id been to la cucina before in london, it was fantastic, this location in guelph did not disappoint, the menu is a bit different, we order a Margherita pizza and ossoboco alla milanese. Food was fantastic will be back again.
The quality of the food and breadth/depth of the wine list are outstanding. Great Italian wine by the bottle or glass!
