Went for a dinner with my colleagues. Everything was perfect. They accommodated my lactose free and the pizza was still amazing. Their chili oil was devine!

Although a small venue, this restaurant has amazing ambiance with live music and great seating arrangement. However, this place would be less remarkable if it werent for its appetizing menu. I would whole heartedly recommend Manhattans to any person who enjoys jazzy tunes and flavorful Italian cuisine. Thanks again for the great evening.

My partner and I heard good things about this place so we thought to try it for a dinner date. We both ordered a cocktail which both were very bad, they were pure lemon juice and we couldn t drink them. My partner ordered the cod which was flavourless and very greasy. It was served only on a bed of bland greasy carrots. He couldn t eat the meal aside from the first few bites. The place was empty yet the service was awful, had to track our server down for everything otherwise she wouldnt come to the table.

While a nice change with the live music aspect, the over all experience was lacking and no where near almost a 5 star. The food did take a bit longer to come out than what we expected, however once we received it my partner felt almost rushed to finish his pizza as the server was asking regularly multiple times as to if he was finished, while he was trying to enjoy the music. As soon as he was finished, after we said we weren t having dessert, our server was at our table with the machine & bill, even though we had a good quarter of a bottle of wine left. I had the pasta with braised beef cheeks, leeks & garlic, while decent, it wasn t 5 Star worthy. It was ok. The presentation was dull & lacking. The bruschetta was the best part of the meal, the whipped goats cheese was definitely a different experience. Environment was a little cheesy - wasn t really impressed with folding chairs at our table & others in our section 4.5 Star don t think so.

Fabulous atmosphere, attentive staff! Owner was exceptionally kind. My husband wanted the only two things they had run out of ( 9:00pm on a Saturday) brought my husband a beer, even though he was completely satisfied ordering the scallop ziti instead. And apologized on our way out again. Would recommend highly!! We had a Fabulous anniversary dinner! P.s. get the Nat king Cole pizza!!

We had a great experience at Manhattans restaurant. All of our food and our waitress Alison was wonderful.

Had a delicious meal on Friday night. The service was incredible. If I could say one thing: turn down the music a little. It was very hard to have a conversation when the music was playing. Beautiful music by the way!

Doesnt even feel like a resturant. The way the place is decorated, makes me feel more at home. Very nice place!

Everything was excellent my husband and I decided to call and make reservations last minute since we were in town celebrating our 6th year wedding anniversary we wanted to try somewhere weve never been but always wanted to try and Manhattans always stood out to us to try. The staff was great and very accommodating, always checking-in to make sure everything was still great. They had a live band the night we went it was a great touch to the feel of the restaurant.

Wonderful evening listening to jazz, with an excellent vocalist eating delicious Italian food. I highly recommend going there. So much atmosphere.

I had high hopes for this place after reading all the reviews, however, this place was a big disappointment. The reservation process was great. We got seated no problem but this was where the good experience ended. I especially like how the server told us right at the onset that we had to clear the table within 2 hours. So clearly there was a clock running that we needed to eat and get out. As you read my review, youll find that this is really funny that they give you a 2-hour limit, but dont serve you until an hour and a half into your seating. Also I should mention that we went in for dinner fairly early at 6:15 which is well before the place got busy. It started with our server not getting our order right, I admire people who try to memorize your order but I think folks should go back to writing down orders so they dont forget. Our server almost forgot our appetizer, but thats fine. We were able to remind her so that got put in and brought to us within about 20 minutes of us ordering. But then everything went sideways. We ordered pizza which I dont think is very complicated, but after 45 minutes of waiting - during which the server never came by to follow up on us - we flagged her down and asked her what was going on. She went to look into what was taking so and she tried to tell us how everybody in the restaurant had ordered pizza so they were backed up. Really?!? After the server came by, a gentleman popped over who I think was the owner and we told him as well that we have been waiting a ridiculous amount of time for a pizza who also went to go look into what was taking so long. On the upside he did manage to speed up the process because the pizza came shortly after him following up. When it eventually came, and not being too harsh, but was not exactly what I expected or the caliber of pizza from a restaurant like this. Add injury to insult, our server came over and had the nerve to say so is it worth the wait? to which my wife politely responded Nope not at all. The server smiled, said sorry and walked away. At this point we just wanted to get out of there, plus dont forget the clock is running out and we were coming up on our 2 hours. We paid our bill, and left - but this is where I found it very interesting. As we are walking out the owner asked us again how our experience was and we told him we were not very happy. Its extremely disappointing that instead of inquiring what was so bad or how he could make or experience better, he just smiled wished us a good weekend and wanted us to get out of his restaurant.

This is the best restaurant in Guelph. My husband and I make reservations Manhattans as often as we can. The food is fabulous, the music is amazing and the staff is next level. Thank you Maria and Darryn for such a lovely place to visit.

Our family dinner at Manhattan s Bristro was an absolute delight! From impeccable customer service to a menu that catered to all tastes, every aspect of our experience was outstanding. The chefs culinary expertise shone through in each perfectly crafted dish, and the live music added a charming ambiance. We left with full hearts and satisfied palates, eager to return for another magical evening. Highly recommended! Vegetarian options: Although our table predominantly ordered non-vegetarian dishes, I was pleasantly surprised by the delightful vegan options available. Two members who follow a vegan diet thoroughly enjoyed their flavorful vegan pasta dishes.

Great place, great food and the live music was awesome

Lets face it, theres so very few places for live music left since the pandemic hit that we are very lucky that Guelph still has this restaurant. To the best of my knowledge its the only place in the city for live jazz, which means that if you have any interest in it at all, you need to be supporting this place. Ill be honest, I wish their main focus wasnt pizza. They do very very good pizza, but to me pizza is pizza. I believe that this is the only place left in Guelph that you can actually take either a date or a business client out for a slightly more refined live music experience.

The restaurant had a really nice atmosphere and the food was excellent. I had the gnocchi and they were absolutely melt in your mouth. We were too early to enjoy the live music but I imagine it really adds to the ambiance. Great experience overall.

My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and it was amazing. Great service, environment and amazing food. We got the gnocchi & Etta James. Would highly recommend checking this place out!!

Overall, the experience was good. We had a few minor issues that were resolved in the end. Food was flavorful and well cooked.

Can I give atmosphere a 6/5? The food was great but the music, even better. We had the delight of hearing Stan Chang and Charlie Cooley and wow what a duo. I had the Gillespie, and honey on pizza is definitely the new thing. Will say that I think their prices have gone up in the past bit, but are still reasonable considering it s a more upscale restaurant and you re getting live entertainment.

Atmosphere 5/5 music is wonderful to have while dining.Music is what makes this place unique. Food was high quality slightly bland but good. Service was friendly but when eating pasta please ask if want bread for the table and dont charge $3 for it. Waited 10-12 minutes after pasta was already served for just bread. Same with cappuccino ask if guest wants sugar. A wonderful experience nonethless. These minor points addressed would make it 5/5

We went there a couple months ago, and my meal and drinks were merely okay. The atmosphere and service were very good. We decided to give them another try. This time the food and drinks were excellent. Once again, the atmosphere and service were exceptional.

Great food. The pizza was really good. Waited a bit longer than we should, considering we were there early but minor thing. Had a good time for my birthday dinner. The owner was on site greeting customers and said goodbye to each person as they left. That was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend to visiting!

I had never been before and I LOVED it. From the moment we entered, we were treated like VIPs. It was old-world service and charm at its finest. The 6 of us ranged in age from 17-80. We unanimously enjoyed the food. (It was the best pizza I have ever had.) We were all impressed with the food, music, and decor. Three members of our party had been to Manhattans numerous times, and 3 of us were new. We will all be back again. Kudos to the owner and his son. Thank you for a lovely evening--a good time was had by all!

I chose to come here for my 43rd Birthday since my wife said where ever I want.. Never been before tonight. I love to cook myself and am extremely picky when eating out, if I can cook better at home I feel Im wasting my money. Bhimas Warung use to be my Favourite place to go.. This place is UNREAL!! FOOD IS SECOND TO NONE, so flavorful, cooked perfectly. Drinks are amazing and go with the atmosphere. Live piano and Jazz while we ate! The owner greets you at the door, being a family run business. Zack his son was our server. Very polite, classy and a welcoming environment! A ton of people came in and he still made time to wish me a happy birthday on the way out. My wife looked gorgeous as always making the night perfect and complete! Wouldnt want to share it with anyone else! Be forewarned, make reservations because the more people that find out the harder itll be to get a table... and ... YOURE WELCOME!!... not a soul could say a bad thing about this place, if they do, Theyre lying!! My new favorite Restaurant, this will be hard to top!

We have been coming here for 10 years and it just never disappoints! We love everything about it, the menu of course, the vibe, the live music, it is so unique and just great.

The food, music and drinks were awesome. Had a seat at the bar and wanted to move to a table. After a reservation didnt show up I was moved to a table. Super awesome staff.

The host was absolutely incredible in the way he made accommodations for my 16 person reservation. Not only did he make sure the seating was comfortable but he also managed to get us up front to watch the live music. The musicians were incredibly talented, sang many favorites of mine and would come and socialize in between sets. The food and drink was absolutely to die for, made for one heck of a birthday celebration. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this place on all levels. Treat yourself!

We came for Valentine s Day and had the BEST time, amazing live music, vibes, food & drinks. If you re coming here, the white wine mussels are a MUST. I ll be back very soon!!!

Our first date night in ages and we sure picked the right spot! The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, the staff was very friendly and professional, the food was phenomenal (the mussels are sooo good) and there was even a fabulous jazz quartet playing. It was a perfect evening! We will absolutely be back again.

Terrible hours to be honest Guelph is a university town especially on Tuesday they should be open as its cheap night at the movies and would make a great night out for groups of Friends and family or even date night. As it is located in a prime area in the university district.

Horrible service. Waited 40 minutes for a rum and Coke. Then waited 1hour and a half for pizza. It was ridiculous. I took my husband here for his birthday And it was the worst service I ve ever experienced. LaLa was our server and it really seems like the family that works there doesn t work very hard at all while the staff that s not family is working hard all night. I don t think I ll ever return. Awful service. Not impressed.

Such an amazing hidden gem in Guelph. Perfect for date night, or just a nice dining experience (outside of all the chain restaurants that Guelph has) When I went there was Live music. The Jazz music was awesome! Also, their Tiramisu was absolutely to die for! Cant wait until the next time!

We celebrated our son s graduation here and they were so accommodating with a change in our reservation. Our food was outstanding . The bruschetta was delicious and our pasta dishes were fantastic. I had the braised lamb cavatelli and it was delicious hot and freshly made. My husband and son (shrimp linguine and pizza) said their meals were also great. The tiramisu was a wonderful way to end our meal. Great food, a lovely ambience and wonderful owners oh and don t forget the music. Definitely a new favourite restaurant in Guelph for us.

Favourite high end restaurant in Guelph, and the best pizza in the city. My wife and I frequent Manhattans. She has celiac disease and staff are always receptive to her gluten allergy. It is difficult to get takeout depending on time; so I recommend calling as early as possible before it gets too busy. The music is always amazing and staff are welcoming, kind, and respectful. One word needed for this place....Wow! Atmosphere, food, and impeccable service. I would highly recommend Manhattans.

Pizza and music really good . Service was terrible . Never get the lamb , two hours later my son throw up . Pasta was mediocre could not even finished it. Steak was soft but spice was nothing special so does the lamb . Seafood salad was sad . Tiramisu ok . The famous cheese cake not great didn t it finish it as well . I was so disappointed, will never go back for dinner . Now I understand why everyone was eating only pizza !! Spend almost 300 dollars I wanted at least cold water .

Overpriced, but decent quality food. Service was friendly, however when the server dropped a piece of bread on the table, we were later charged for the replacement. This surprised me as it seemed disingenuous. A single appetizer, one main, and 3 drinks ended up costing over $100. I probably wont be visiting again.

Manhattans is unlike any restaurant in Guelph. You enter a magical world of smiles and happy people, a perfectly executed environment and grand food and drink. Is this akin grand parties of years gone by. Any moment you expect a Gatsbys like soul to come through the door. Patrons visit with patrons and your hosts greet you each and every time as a friend. The food and drink is outstanding as is the impeccable service. Remember to make reservations, it is a busy place, absolutely worth a visit, and another visit,...and another visit.

The margareta pizza was the best thing Ive eaten in my life! This includes pizza in Italy! Well be back!

My best friend and I came here to celebrate our 40th birthdays. We made a reservation and we were seated promptly. The manager was nice to tell us as soon as we got seated that it was a busy night and they had another reservation for our table at 7:45pm, which gave us a 2 hour window. The live music was great and the wait staff was very attentive. The food and drinks were fantastic. We were mindful of the time as we did not want to overstay but we were having such a great time we weren t ready to leave. We asked if another table was available so that we could enjoy the rest of the night there since we both had come from a distance and were celebrating bdays. The manager reserved two seats for us at the bar and told us to take our time at our table and our bar seats were ours when we were ready to move. We eventually move over to the bar and had the most greatest time. We were passed off to the bartender now and she was just as attentive and gave us great service. I would definitely go back as our night was really fun!! Thanks again for the great service, great food and great experience :)

We had a fantastic experience at Manhattans last night for my sons 20th birthday. They were able to accommodate our reservation of 13 people. The food, service and live band were fantastic. As well they went out of their way to celebrate my sons birthday.

Had a great time. We happened to pop in without a reservation, and they were very accommodating, we had dinner, and tried a signature drink while listening to live jazz, what could be better. Vegetarian options: I had the Bocconcini salad, and it was amazing and very filling.

What more could you possibly need for a great night out? Welcoming hosts, great music, new delicious entrees on an updated new menu, finishing off with scrumptious desserts all in fun and hospitable surroundings... That sounds perfect, doesnt it? Thats Manhattans. Youll definitely need reservations once youve found comfort at your own special table. Why not book far in advance for date night or a casual night out with friends? Youll be glad you did. Guelphs hidden gem is not so secret and longer. Enjoy!

Food is ok, but way overpriced for the quality and flavour. Waitress added nearly $100 of extras to our bill. She had to go back 3 times to adjust it. Many mistakes with our food. Overall a very poor experience for a $350 meal for 4.

Amazing food, staff and especially the live music!

Food tasted amazing, the hanger steak was cooked perfectly. Service was also very friendly and often checked in, very friendly feel to everyone. Atmosphere was fantastic, very cool design inside and we went on a night where they had a pianist performing both modern and older songs and he was great. Highly recommended this place if youre in Guelph and thinking about somewhere new or a new date night type place.

2019: Great food and music. Gave them 4 plus stars. 2023: Wow, things have changed. Went to celebrate anniversary. Ambiance is great, but food arrived barely warm. Only half the band members showed, but still played jazz songs well. Fireplace was turned off and no decaf coffee was available after paying almost $100 per plate. Wine over priced. We were advised that we had to leave after 2 hours to allow for other guests, when tables around us were empty. Are you serious about repeat business? Owners were given feedback, let s see if things improve.

Great place. They were very kind, accommodating, and understanding. Very patient with us even when we had last minute no shows for our reservation. The staff was very polite and the food was great. The live music was awesome and set a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it for a nice night out.

Had an unfortunate experience here last night. We arrived at our scheduled reservation and were seated promptly. When we sat we were immediately told that we would have to be out in 2 hours because of another table, a few minutes later the owner came over and told us that we actually had less time as the server had made a mistake. We ordered drinks, and food. The service was very slow, and the food came out only 20 minutes prior to the time we were told we had to leave by. One of our meals was also poorly cooked and there was no apology which was disappointing. We had to rush through our meals, and we ordered a dessert as we were there to celebrate a friends birthday. We were then rushed through the dessert and out the door. It was unfortunate as all three of us have had previously great experiences, but this one felt rushed and unwelcoming. As a more expensive restaurant that is advertised as a nice restaurant it didnt meet the mark.

Went out for dinner on Saturday to capture some live music. The pizza and Arancini balls were delicious. The music made for a great atmosphere. The main courses were a little slow to come out, but for how busy it was, it was completely reasonable.

One of our favourite places in guelph. We were late making reservations, so we sat at the bar which is usually no problem. One of the bartenders was lovely, but we saw the other one yell loudly at the serving staff twice, which took away from the experience completely. The food was amazing as always, live music excellent, the one bartender (Morgan, I believe) was fantastic, but we will avoid sitting at the bar in future if thats how the staff interacts with each other, which is discouraging to see

What a great spot! Wonderful atmosphere and attentive (not overly) staff and management. Pizzas are amazing. Just one tip for the Owner you need large ice cubes/ice balls for an authentic Old Fashioned cocktail.

It is hard to know where to start with this place, in the best way possible. The food was absolutely delicious. I had tried the mussels appetizer which i highly recommend if you are big into seafood. It had a lot more flavour than I was expecting and the bread alongside went perfectly. For main dishes, their pasta and gnocchi are DEFINITELY worth a try, especially if you are looking for something very filling. To top it off, the customer service was the best out of every other restaurant I have been to. People are always at the front to greet you and help you. Oppose to what other reviews have said, the food came out pretty quickly and the owners, waiters and waitresses were super warm. Overall, an amazing place to spend a meal with live music and unforgettable food and service.

Amazing! The entire experience. Tonight was our first night visiting for my birthday. We were so impressed. Firstly the service was great. Special recognition goes to Lorenzo, Allison and Delores who were awesome. We had my two girls with us and they were all so kind to them. This restaurant doesnt appear to cater to kids as much but they were well taken care of and were lovely to the kids. The food was perfect. My pizza (Nora Jones) was the best pizza I have ever had. My mother had the pasta and loved it. The salads were fresh and so tasty. I look forward to returning with my husband for a date night soon. Highly recommend this place 100 percent.

Had an amazing experience. The live music, food, staff, and restaurant setting was fantastic. Made reservations online, very easily, and our table was right beside the stage. The Joe Lucchetta Trio were playing. During their breaks from the stage they would talk with their audience and the customers. Even taking requests and songs they didnt know, would get written down so they can learn them. The staff were all friendly and they provided a very quick service as well. 10/10 will be back again. Manhattans is truly a gem in Guelph! We have never been disappointed and enjoy each and every time we go. Maria and Darin are extremely hospitable and always take time to sit and catch up. Their staff and kitchen geniuses cant be beat! No matter what menu item you choose, they are cooked to perfection and so flavourful. The martinis are delicious and a full portion. Wine selection is beautiful. No cover charge for the amazing music selection on the weekends. We love the low romantic lighting and relaxing atmosphere. Looking forward to our next date night!!

We absolutely LOVE this place!!! The food... the atmosphere...the music.... the PEOPLE... all perfection!! Weve gone a handful of times now and the experience continues to be consistently fantastic. From the menu, weve tried arancini, Caesar salad, gillespie pizza, sonny rollins pizza, gnocchi, and papardelle .... all absolutely delicious. The live jazz music is excellent. And the owners and the staff are beyond lovely.... everyone is so friendly, warm and welcoming. The owners always make sure to go around to say hello to everyone. Cant wait to go back!

Easily our new favourite restaurant! This is a uniquely fantastic place. If youre looking for a good time while you eat amazing food, with happy upbeat live music, incredible wait staff, and a truly positive environment, this is the place for you. A real gem. Its hard to explain the atmosphere here because Ive never been anywhere like it in the KW or Guelph area. It has a welcoming and cozy feel. Sort of upscale but not remotely snooty. Its like dinner and a show where the food and service are 5 star, but also with a fun family vibe. Aside from the utterly fantastic atmosphere, our meals were perfect - both the Hanger Steak & Pappardelle were world class, and the cheesecake was the freshest weve eaten anywhere. Also, I never call people out but, Doug, our waiter, was the best weve had anywhere (including the most elite restaurants weve been to). The owners were also extraordinary kind, welcoming, and just all around fantastic hosts. I cant recommend this place enough. Definitely give it a try.

Our family had a wonderful experience at Manhattans. The food is superb (had the Papardelle pasta entree and it was delicious), and the ambience makes you feel just like youre at a restaurant in downtown Manhattan! The restaurant is the perfect balance of up-scale with relaxed dining. The owners are there every day and are kind and hospitable! Would wholeheartedly recommend!

Great vibes live music great food.

WOW!!! the word wow doesnt begin to describe the amazing experience we had at this great venue. We walked in one Saturday night with no reservations and the gracious host, and owner, found us a table even though the place was fully booked. We were treated like royalty upon coming in and were served by a great young man named Zach. Given the great experienced we had, we made reservations to go again the following week and again, a very consistent experience from the moment we walked in to the time we left. So here is the low down on Manhattans: The service: Outstanding! first there was Zach the first time we came, he was attentive, check in on us regularly and was extremely accomodating and friendly. the 2nd time we had Kendra. Outstanding service from this young woman. She exibited the same client service skills as Zach and you can tell they train their staff quite well! OH, and she makes a great Latte!! The Music: Amazing music each of the days we went. great ambiance, great music, amazing vibe. My girlfriend and I simply loved it. The Food: its why we go to a restaurant right?! omg the food was just perfect! savoured every bite. WOW!! Price: Surprisingly good! given the food and everything else we were quite happy with the pricepoint. Overall one of the most amazing dining experiences weve had in a long time and we have already decided this is our spot!! and Ive decided this is where were coming for my birthday and might even book it for our wedding! yay Manhattans. Thank you Manhattans. I didnt get all the names of the staff we intereacted with but you are doing a fantastic job. Keep it up. We loved the entire experience. thank you thank you thank you!!

Amazing food and awesome vibe!

Ok ambient, love music if youre into that. Food is pricey albeit relatively good. Dessert had eggshells in it and nothing was done about it.

Great food loved the mussels especially. It has a very nice atmosphere and the music was really good. Very professional and attentive to customers.

Weird experience. Entire place is empty and the front door staff wanted to sit me either right next to the piano or a table right at the door. Meanwhile the entire restaurant is empty and you can t reserve specific tables. Make it make sense? I enjoyed coming here in the past but won t be visiting again.

My mother and sister and I went here last night for the first time. The food was so tasty and great options. Live music was a nice touch to the beautiful atmosphere and service was excellent. The owners took care of us, Darren and Maria. Very pleasant and professional. We had a great evening out and will be returning. Such a nice place for a date night or outing with family and friends in a classy place.

Mother/daughter night was a hit! We each ordered different apps and mains which gave us the opportunity to try variety. Everything was delicious. Everything from the staff to the apps, to the main course and the beverages were spot on. The ambience & the live music made it even more special. The owners, Maria & Darren came to our table and introduced themselves which was a nice touch to a great evening out. We will be back!

The food, drinks, and atmosphere were amazing. Service was a little longer than expected but I think because of their current hours they re just packed every night and I went with a large group. I think it was the owners who came over to make sure we were doing well and that made the experience very special. Would highly recommend

The pizza was good, not spectacular, but the atmosphere is what youre paying for here. Terrific live music, beautiful décor, and if the owner is in, hell come and chat with you. Recommended

Manhattans... This was my first time here & I kick myself for not coming here constantly in the past! I love Manhattans! Everything, from the piano playing entertainment to the food & cocktails, made me swoon. I cannot say enough about how satisfying the whole experience was. Thank you!

Unique and beautiful little spot with live music well you eat. Food takes a long time to arrive. Portions are smaller with a high-end price. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. Ceasar salad was the best part of my meal, lots of dressing is always a plus for me but it had only 4 pieces of bacon and a few croutons. Pizza has a lovely crust but sauce was lacking flavor. The peanut butter cheesecake was nothing like a cheesecake. More like a heavy cake or cookie texture. It was over cooked and flavorless. Drinks where lovely! I will go back for the atmosphere but not the food.

Went to Manhattans for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The food is excellent, and the background music, (jazz), was exceptional. The owner and staff are very courteous and go out of their way to ensure customers are pleased with their dining experience. I will be returning most definitely. Highly recommended!

My friend and I had dinner at Manhattans two nights ago. I hadnt been there for a number of years. I believe the last time I was at this restaurant was in 2013. My friend and I had been trying to coordinate our schedules with the restaurants dinner hours (they are only open three nights a week) for over a year now. Finally we were able to get to Manhattans for dinner. At the beginning of our dinner, the service was excellent. However after our dinner was served, a number of people came in and from that time onwards, the service was non-existent. I would like to note that there were indeed enough servers on that particular evening and they were not short staffed as many other places are these days. We were the only table our server was attending to on the lower level and she was also serving tables on the upper level. From that point onwards it was basically an out of sight, out of mind situation. She stopped by once when we were almost finished our meal to see how our food tasted. After that we did not see her again. After finishing our meal we sat for a long time waiting for her to stop by so we could get our left over food boxed up. Finally I asked another server to box up our food. After he brought our boxes back our server appeared. At that point we just asked for the bill. Upon paying the bill, my friend told our server that we were very dissatisfied with the service provided. This is supposed to be an upper scale restaurant and the service should reflect that. It was quite a disappointment for us especially since we had been attempting to visit this restaurant for quite a long time. I did wait two days before writing this review and here is the reason why. Being a small establishment, I called the same day for the reservation just in case it was going to be busy. When I made the reservation, I spoke to one of the owners and he wrote down my name and phone number. Leaving the restaurant, it was very apparent that we were upset and the owner I had booked the reservation with was standing at the door. Once I returned home, I thought that the owner would call to find out why we left so hastily. After all, he did have my phone number from the reservation I made three hours prior. I did not receive a phone call and hence this review. This is completely unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. Its a shame because the food really was excellent. Needless to say we will not be returning to Manhattans.

Just a small improvement request on portion size. We were there with a large group a few weeks ago and a couple of people ordered the crab linguini and they finished in literally a few bites. Most of the rest of us were just getting into our second slice of pizza. Even the waiter said wow you killed it thinking they loved it and ate it fast. He took the plates and the two were left watching the rest of us eat away. They were still hungry and we felt bad so some offered to share their pizza with them.

A wonderful hidden gem in Guelph! The live music and venue are intimate but lively and the perfect way to spend an evening. Highly recommend reservations as there is rarely an empty seat in the house. The menu is well curated and so tasty also!

We had the rack of lamb and a pizza. Both were really good especially the lamb, which was tender and flavorful. Loved the live music. Makes a great date night. Service was also top notch. Will be back.

From the food to the ambiance to the amazing Owners Maria and Darrin and son Zak and super incredible staff it s our favourite place to dine and drink. In our opinion Service is largely a matter of ATTITUDE !!!! Congrats to all of you at Manhattans for making us feel at home each and every time we are there. Was there for a work Christmas party and was blown away! It was my first time at Manhattans and I would go back again in a heartbeat. Food was incredible, drinks were amazing and the environment and live music made the experience even better. Definitely recommend visiting Manhattans.

Manhattans has hosted our company dinner twice and exceeded our expectations each time. Staff is very friendly, service is great and the food is excellent.

My favourite restaurant / music club anywhere.

Absolutely fantastic! The food and the service were amazing, they were able to accommodate my 15mo son with a real highchair! As a mom I dont appreciate restaurants that offers a very uncomfortable hard wood highchair so that was a very nice surprise for us. We had the lamb, the gnocchi, a pizza and the burrata, it was so delicious!! We are definitely coming back, this is now one of our favorite restaurants in Guelph.

Amazing live talent

We had my Fiances 26th Birthday dinner at Manhattans and we had such an amazing and memorable night with our friends. The live music, the ambience, the food, the service - all of it was 10/10. We are so excited to come back!

During our most recent visit we enjoyed the food immensely. Our compliments to the chef, as always. You cant beat a fine meal starting with baked brie and a charcuterie board followed by beautiful pastas, smoked duck, and artisan pizzas, finishing with delicious cheesecakes. All that while enjoying live jazz. We find the food and the ambiance fantastic and love to introduce friends to this gem of an establishment for all of that, but by far the hospitality of the owners, Darin and his wife, keep us coming back above all other reasons.
