We had reservations, staff were prompt on seating us. Food was delicious, all were happy with the quality and portions. Service was lacking. Drink refills did not happen unless asked (non alcoholic and alcoholic) did not bring ordered drinks but they were on the bill (this was rectified) When delivering food to table, staff should follow server who took orders and should place food out instead of asking everyone who ordered what. Just that little bit extra would make it a 5star Overall, very nice restaurant with great food.

We ordered Romero s for the first time tonight and it was more than delicious! My 2 kiddos loved it so much they were fighting over it and cleaned their plates like never before. We really enjoyed it and will order again!!

From start to finish everything was excellent. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I had the Romero linguine and it was excellent. The service was great. It was one of our better dining experiences in Guelph. You work hard for your money and want good value when spending it on a meal? You won t go wrong at Romero s. I highly recommend them.

Weve been to Romeros several times in the last year. The food is always excellent. The hospitality is warm and the table service is very friendly and efficient. They really take care of you. Highly recommend the seafood linguine and the lasagne. Their salads are also fantastic.

I wish I could be more positive, but my wife and I did not enjoy our meal. The chicken parmesan was way over cooked and covered in cheddar cheese??? Very busy place, and they have a loyal customer following, but I will pass.

I really enjoyed the food. They have some signature dishes they have perfected. The service was excellent as well. Parking: Parking is good after hours. It is shared with other businesses during the day.

Best pasta meal ever Greek fusilli

The mushrooms are so good. The meat is cooked at a level. But their creme brûlée didn t seem to be bought so made In-store and very good.

Food/atmosphere excited four senses, sound, sight, smell and taste! From the time we sat down to the time we left the attention was fantastic! Server/manager knew her recommendations and what went well together! We traveled an hour and a half to get there and it was more than worth the drive! The only problem is when I will have time off to get there again! But regardless we will be back!

Been here several times over the years. The food is always fantastic. My favorite is the Veal Parmigiano. When you eat this you know it prepared and cooked with love. Well be back again and again. We have never been disappointed.

Sat on the patio. It was beautiful. Didnt understand why 3 people for the order. 1 to take it , 1 to bring it and 1 to take the $. It really doesnt matter because it seems to work for them.

Small, quiet and personal, the food was excellent. The service was spot on, and the prices are more than reasonable. We havent been there since pre-covid, but will be making this part of our regular rotation! How both meals could be so crispy on the outside and so tender on the inside is a total mystery to me. Just had take-out this evening for first time. Outstanding! We both had chicken parm and bruschetta. Piping hot even though it was take-out. Bruschetta was very tasty. Chicken parm was absolutely huge and so tender didnt need a knife. Came with penne pasta. We both loved it. Will definitely order again. Big thank you for our fantastic dinners.

Slow service, NOT attentive whatsoever and made multiple mistakes. The paper napkins and dated decor left it feeling cheap, albeit the prices were not. Servers were not attentive to servicing out table, ie: drinks etc. Seemed like a very old clientele when we were there, the bear share of guests post 70yrs old and in turn the 50s Juke box music they had playing, that and the overall ambiance reminded us of a 50s roadside diner. It used to have a good reputation, somewhere you could go for a nice Italian meal with good service and leave thinking you were at an upscale restaurant (for Guelph)..not so much anymore.

The food here is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. I had the chicken parm and it was cooked to perfection. I also really enjoyed the pasta sauce. The servers are friendly and the service is great . The bread that comes to the table is so fresh and there is definitely a good amount for each person. It s a very family oriented atmosphere with plenty of great choices on the menu

There were 6 of us dining 5 different dinner meals. Every plate was wiped clean!!! Fantastic food! Reasonably priced! Great service! We will be returning very soon!

It was meh. I was shocked that they use boxed pasta. It s so easy to make and way cheaper; disappointing. Food was Ok, a little bland and weak of flavour. Authentic Mediterranean should be chock full of fresh herbs and spices the plates needed a kick of flavour. Prices were too high for the meal. Bread was not authentic some sort of standard white loaf. Came with butter? Where s the olive oil? For that price I ll go to La Cuccina and get fresh and authentic

Amazing food, great service, friendly staff

First time at Romero s and it was fantastic. Staff were amazingly friendly and attentive. The food was incredible, steak and lobster so good, lasagna was delicious. Topped it off with some incredible desserts. We will definitely be going back.

The food is great and the portions are huge. The owners are nice and really go out of their way to make the experience wonderful.

Stopped in for lunch at this lovely restaurant today. Service was friendly & efficient. We asked the owner for a recommendation on a dish, I opted for his suggestion of penne with chicken in a creamy cajun sauce. Fresh ingredients cooked perfectly, this meal was one of the best Ive had in a long time. Will absolutely be visiting this place next time I am in Guelph. Thank you Romero!

Food and staff are amazing!

This was our first visit and it was so good. The staff and owner are lovely and very welcoming. The food was perfect. The Calamari is a must try! My mother and I both selected seafood pastas and they were fresh and delicious. My husband had the steak and lobster and loved every bite. We look very forward to returning and trying more from the menu.

From the service to the food...Im beyond happy. I have no idea why I waited so long to eat here but let me tell you. DONT WAIT. I had the pecan chicken and just cant believe how good it was!! The veal was also TO DIE FOR. Even the water...it must be filtered because it did not taste like Guelph water. Cant recommend this place enough! The food is great but sadly the music was not conducive to a relaxing dinner experience.

Food was very solid and the employees were incredibly friendly. Its not the cheapest option, but the pennies are worth the quality

5 stars multiplied by 100. Their food was beyond amazing for flavour, presentation, portion size, variety... The waiter we had was super friendly and knew how to interact with good humor. The manager Sammy was also helping and super friendly and attentive. A girl also politely and professionally served. Highly highly recommended. I am already planning some take out and another reservation. Extremely incredible all round experience.

The meals we had were quite good although there are few vegetarian choices. In general the menu is heavy on the meat side. Nice atmosphere inside. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking: Ample available on-site parking. Wheelchair accessible.

The staff were very attentive and welcoming. We ordered mussels, soup, and the cheese appetizers and they were all very good. For our main course we had the lamb shank, manicotti, lasagna, and veal parmigiana. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous. So good to have such a great restaurant at the west end of Guelph! Came back to try the patio last night. It was such a lovely evening. Would highly recommend. The specials are always a treat and theres always freshly baked bread served.

Romeros is a great place to take anyone who loves Italian food. We had some visitors this week and took them and they were completely satisfied with the service and the food. I recommend this restaurant to anyone.

MUST TRY. with Calamari and a salad. You can see my reviews. I very seldom give 5 stars. but this place... this place is a MUST. Wish I had one closer to where I lived. Romeros has some of the most delicious food Ive ever eaten. It is a favorite spot of my boss, and my boss is a very tasteful man. Remarkable staff, great service, lovely atmosphere.

Delicious food! This place never disappoints. We order in for pick up for New Years as the Province is/was in lockdown and we wanted a great meal. We had Woolwich Fettuccine (one of our favourite pastas from anywhere), Fettuccine Alfrado and bacon wrapped scallops. We were so full and delighted with our meal. We will be back again and again.

Weve been there 3 times now. Best plate I had was the angel hair seafood. Man do these chefs know how to cook. Shrimp, muscles and scallops were cooked to perfection and not over done. Im not even kidding, I didnt know seafood could come this good!

Romeros is a great restaurant in a less than perfect industrial setting, but the ambience is relaxed and comfortable and the food is wonderful. Ive probably tried every dish on the menu over the years and havent been let down yet. We love their chicken souvlaki, but all the pasta dishes are exceptional as well.

My Husband and I visited Romero s after reading the reviews online and finding out it was close to home (7 mins!). We are relatively new to Guelph and decided to spend date night enjoying some Italian together. He ordered the Veal Marsala and I had the Angel Linguini Frutti de Mare as well as bruschetta to start. The food was fresh, hot and so tasty - it was clear this food was made to order and delivered to the table immediately. The customer service was outstanding and we even met Romero himself! Your family are doing an incredible job and are an asset to the Guelph community. We will be back!

Like another reviewer, we have been enjoying Romeros for many, many years. It does have consistent, high quality Mediterranean style dining. Sammy is a hoot and Brent is their stalwart head chef. Great team at Romeros!

Unfortunately I cannot speak to the quality of their food. I had high hopes of trying this kitchen as they seem to boast about their catering. However I can speak to the quality of their service. Romeros restaurant has refused to cater for a 30 person event on a Sunday (giving them 55 days notice). They had a too good for my business attitude. Very unfortunate.

The food was amazing, had fair portion to price ratio, and the service was excellent. It was a little small for company of 10 but very nice for groups of 2 to 4 people.

Unparalleled delicious food, it is a place far from downtown but the atmosphere, unparalleled service and delicious food are very pleasant. The with bread is amazing with butter!!!

Owner and staff are very welcoming to you. We enjoyed their sea food fettuccine dinners, some chocolate cheesecake and chocolate mousse for dessert, delicious and delicious . Will definitely plan to go back.

Like anywhere prices are up but not crazy. To be seated was prompt , the service was impeccable absolutely spot on. You definitely wont leave feeling hungry wether it be regular menu or daily specials. Our table had both , presentation and taste was spectacular. Dont do desert but this time we all had and oh my god . Glad we didnt miss . After that can you say stuffed. You know when youve gone to a really good restaurant when the turnover is regular and always full. Not crowded just full. It was a Great dinning experience all round from the time we had entered to the time we had left. 2 plus hrs never rushed.

I frequented this establishment years ago before I moved, then revisited this evening, and we were NOT disappointed. Everything was amazing. Outstanding service, food quality and our meals were so fresh and piping hot. The food was excellent, the portions substantial and the cost was very reasonable. We celebrated our friends birthday there and it was all so wonderful. That was the first time I had eaten there and I loved it. We will be back again for sure. I highly recommend them.

Sensational! We enjoyed a delicious meal on the patio. Lovely music, lighting and decorative fountain added to the ambiance. The wait staff was impeccable - polite, timely, and kept the appropriate distance (6ft). The food was perfection. The house red wine matched perfectly with the beef medallions, mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables in a mushroom gravy. The lasagne was divine, as was the Linguine Romero. We finished the meal with cappuccino and creme brule. If you havent tried Romeros, call and make a reservation or drop by. We highly recommend it!

To be honest Im surprised Im giving this bad review. I was super excited to try this place as Ive read and heard great things. We ordered delivery. Chicken suvlaki and lasagna. My wifes chicken meal looked grey and old. My lasagna is basically a cheap giant tiger brand very bland and tasteless. The Greek salad was delicious but not one wedge of lemon anywhere....super weird seeing as we ordered all Greek food mostly. Taziki sauce was amazing but they only sent 8 pita wedges. My order cost around 70 dollars and I feel like this was a very cheap meal. The 2 stars is bc the salad and taziki was good. Overall I would highly recommend people look elsewhere if they want high quality food. Cheers

Excellent service and the wine list however limited is still priced extremely well and thats why it gets a second star. Based on the food alone it would be a single star. I went with two apps, the calamari and the bacon wrapped scallops. The calamari was very flour heavy and had absolutely no seasoning. The scallops were exceptionally over cooked. They went with scallops entirely too small to be able to wrap and still get the proper sear and cook. Rather than 6 or 8 small scallops done poorly doing two large scallops properly would have been at the same price point but a better value. And also like the calamari, zero seasoning. For the main I asked for suggestions as to what they do the best and was given a few options. I went with the Romero linguini. Again ZERO seasoning. The cream sauce was extremely thin and very cream heavy. A sauce should stick to the pasta not drown it and run off. The shrimp and scallops with the pasta were not too small or over done, however no sear again. The pasta tasted as it came from a box and was also over done. To finish I went with the creme brulee and again it was done poorly. The cream was over worked, again like it came from a box. The major fail was the sugar crust. It should be thin and delicate, carmalized to a golden shade. However this was burnt and extremely thick. A creme brulee should melt in your mouth not have to be chewed for ten minutes then picked from your teeth. If I was to compare it to another restaurant it would come below even an Eastside Marios.

Service was excellent and so was the house wine, but the food was not enjoyable at all. The calamari was so bland, the pasta was not fresh and had an odd flavour to it (my partner couldnt eat his), and the creme brulee had such a thick coat of sugar on top that it was inedible. We were very excited to come here, but sadly were left disappointed.
