Wow, what amazing food. Just got takeout with my friend, we are both vegetarian. It was SOOOO good. And even the speed with which I got my food and the server giving it to me was great. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious. The flavours are out of this world. First time eating here and will surely be back. Must get the sujek wrap (a bit salty but worth it) and the moutabbal and hummus (both are the best in town). My young kids devoured the lentil soup too! Can t wait to return.

The food served was ok .I went here due to the high rating. The server had no knowledge of Lebanese food . The fattoush salad did not have the pomegranate dressing served and we had to request for it. The bread that was served was cold and from a supermarket store. Parking: Parking had only 2 slots and the rest were at a distance from the restaurant

had a fabulous dinner a few weeks ago. our server saige knew about the wine served and helped me pick one that i would like and to go with my meal. my boyfriend and i were very happy with our food as well as the service. our server saige was fantastic and took care of us during our time there. will recommend and come back.

Website menu does not match online order pricing which does not match phone orders. Currently online order is $5 cheaper for the date nite platter than call-in for eg (but listed on the menu $10 cheaper - surprise on arrival to pickup!) They need to fix this. Food is extremely good but inconsistent - sometimes the hummus is extremely garlicky. The lentil soup is to die for - when they have it (even early in the evening they run out).

Fantastic Lebanese offerings with many other options. Fresh, delicious and authentic. Even children will find something to enjoy. The garlic sauce rates 5/5 per my wife - its got a kick. Many vegan options on a separate menu as well. You wont regret trying it. PS - Its small, so make a reservation on the weekend.

This is a honestly gem of a place! The atmosphere is intimate, your can smell the coals from the food prep, and the food is absolutely divine!!! Great place to take your family!

Fabulous Lebanese food in charming restaurant, located in downtown Guelph. We thoroughly appreciated the regular menu for our friends and a plant-based menu for us. So many excellent options in both menus. The food was delicious to say the least. The server was knowledgable and delightful.

Omg this place is SO good. So happy to have more vegan places in Guelph. The garlic sauce is ridiculous and everything is delicious.

Out for a light dinner on a rainy night. Very fresh food, thoughtful wait staff and relaxing atmosphere. Vegetarian options: An entire alternate menu of vegetarian offerings. At the restaurant, you are always asked if youd like to see the vegetarian menu. Wheelchair accessibility: At street level entry and no stairs to washroom.

Ordered via Skip. Ordered the Rakakat, donair wrap, and baklawa. Rakakat said was cheese in pastry - was very little cheese, too much herbs in frozen spring roll wrappers not pastry. Couldnt finish. Donair wrap the sauce was ok, pita was tough, meat was tough and sparse, onions were in very thick slices vs thin slices, maybe a piece of tomato or two, bottom was a soggy mess but also had been soggy long enough pita had turned to goo. Baklawa was just sad. Ordered as a treat as I love Lebanese food. Wont order again.

Today, two of us ordered shawarma wraps to pickup; one chicken and one beef - we asked for spicy: the combination of flavors of the ingredients were pretty good for each one except for the chicken itself! The chicken in the chicken shawarma tasted off giving the indication that it was overcooked/kept in heat for too long to the point that there was a bad bacterial aftertaste, so we might not order from here again unless we see another hundred spectacular reviews of the chicken shawarma (just hoping that the restaurant gets their act together and serve FRESH cooked chicken rather than old overcooked chicken that makes it taste like theres fish oil mixed into the wrap) so for now we say no to Retour Bistro.

Took my friend here for a birthday dinner. The food was fantastic and the service was great, our server Saige was extremely helpful with the menu and very knowledgeable. Ill definitely be going back again and if your looking for an affordable night out you should check this place out.

Unfortunately food quality has gone downhill. Retour used to be our go to spot for middle eastern food. But over the past couple years the quality has taken a hit. Better spots to give your money too.

Such an authentic Lebanese place. An entire Vegan menu, and one for the non vegetarians too. really good find! Great food and service. Would love to visit again! Pro tip: If you have a chance, choose dine-in option to get the most out of the warm flavours and textures. Their zataar is mouthwatering!!

Ordered for take out, went to pick it up and the hostess was so nice, happy and just an absolute pleasure to talk with. It was my first time in the restaurant and it s absolutely stunning. The food was just as amazing. Really happy with every element of my experience.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time! The food was outstanding. My boyfriend is vegan, and they had a full vegan menu to accommodate his needs. The staff was so friendly and kind as well. Our waitress, Erin, was particularly lovely. She checked in regularly, engaged with us kindly, and spent time making sure all of our needs are met. You can tell she really cares about what she does. Easily one of my favourite restaurants in Guelph. The staff are SO kind and the quality of the food is amazing. I love that they use Green Goddess cheese for their vegan menu to keep things local (and high quality). Theres something for everyone on this menu, a MUST TRY.

Wow, I have been wanting shawarma ever since I went vegan, and this did the trick. All the flavors I remember, and more. The chicken shawarma is on point, I also had the kibbeh for the first time and it was delicious and went perfectly with the Hummus. The service was perfect, our server was very knowledgeable and accommodating. I will be back as soon as I can, I want to try the whole menu.

We ordered more food after eating quite a bit, just to try other items. The attention to details in the flavours is top shelf. All day we have been reminiscing and planning when we can go again. I have never submitted a review of a restaurant, but had to make an exception.

I m hoping this was a one off. Our first time ordering food from here. The meat skewers tasted of charcoal all the way through.

I ve had a lot of Lebanese food in my time. This was the worst. The meat had little to no seasoning, and was very dry. The rice was old, dried out, and tough. You can get a better meal for less money pretty much anywhere else in Guelph. The side salad was good though. In the spirit of constructive feedback, two things could be changed that would make the meal enjoyable. 1. Marinate and season the meat. Then don t grill it to death. 2. Prepare new rice for each dinner service, don t just keep the stuff you made at noon.

Me and my family love this place! The rice and spices are amazing, the wraps full and delicious, and the garlic sauce and hummus are *drinkable* (we want more!). A must-add to your order is the fried halloumi - Ive never tasted it quite like that with the sweet glaze. Yum :)

Modern space overlooking the Speed River with trendy takes on classic MENA foods like shawarma, zaatar and halloumi. My sujek and halloumi fries were a great meal, but make sure you go wrap + app if youre really hungry, as either alone would be more of a snack. Sage served me promptly with a smile.

Retour bistro is my favourite place in Guelph, for many reasons! 1) Expansive menu with tons of variety, which doesnt skimp on quality. I have tried many of their items, including pizza, manakeesh, salads, mezza, and platters and everything has been delicious. 2) Flavourful options for everyone. Their kafta and other meats are delicious with hints of parsley, mint and other spices. And their VeganHouse menu offers most of the original menu with a vegan modification, making it a great option for Vegans. Their fake meats are also spiced as nicely as the meats are! 3) They are accurate and follow instructions to a tee - something that is weirdly rare in Guelph. Ive asked for stuff on the side, extra spices, no onions etc. and they always follow through. 4) Generous portions and careful packaging. Thank you Retour for feeding us pretty much biweekly throughout this pandemic <3

My family has been here a few times and its always good. My favourites are the halloumi fries, kebbeh, and kafta plate, but you cant go wrong with anything. They have some of the best falafel Ive ever tasted. All the sauces that come on the side are made in house. For those who are vegan or vegetarian, there is a vegan menu that includes much of the house menu but with plant based options. Many items on the main menu are naturally vegetarian as well. Taking this into consideration, they are probably one of the most accessible restaurants in down for different dietary styles. Highly recommend!

Friendly people and delicious food. I have been searching for good kibbeh since my grandmother stopped making them (theyre not easy!), and I have finally found somewhere to get well-made kibbeh and so close to home! I also had their grape leaf rolls, a falafel wrap, and a side of hummus - all were wonderful. I am very happy with this first experience, and Im looking forward to going back.

Amazing food, everytime. They have so many vegan options including dessert! They have single stall accessible gender neutral washrooms and can accommodate so many palettes and dietary restrictions so we were able to host a dinner for all our volunteers there super easily. My partner and I order from retour bistro a couple times a month. The food is ALWAYS warm, fresh, authentic, and 100% delicious. Hands down our favourite restaurant to order from in Guelph. We typically order the beef manouche, tabbouleh, labneh and more. Everything we have tried has been incredible. The staff running the family owned business are always kind and attentive, and provide a wonderful atmosphere for their restaurant. We strongly suggest trying out Retour bistour, there is no doubt that you will love it.

I tried inferno vegan burger - worst burger I have ever had so far In Canada. It is really pricey! There was nothing in it! No juice no ingredients! Don t try this one burger from here. Don t know about the rest!

We LOVE the chicken shawarma wraps from Retour Bistro. Its our go-to when we want something cheap, easy and so freakin delicious for dinner. We ordered 2 to-go last night, and even though they were unexpectedly SUPER busy, they still managed to produce delicious wraps without much of a wait time. The young man at the cash is always super friendly, and the owners are really nice too. Looking forward to eating on the new patio next time!

The food here is amazing. Portions are beyond generous. They have a wonderful vegan menu. Our waitress was lovely but didnt think of things like bringing small plates and cutlery so we could share appetizers. She seemed inexperienced but overall it was a happy dining experience. They are very welcoming. Would highly recommend.

The food is very good and well flavoured, and we do love to try out their menu. The prices are a little steep, though, and the portions sometimes feel a little small relative to price.

Great restaurant to bring the family and great food

Ordered two tawook wraps and a gyro, I was pleased with the gyro, the flavour was good. However, the tawook wrap was dreadful. No taste of chicken it tasted like I was eating a garlic sandwich, it was too overpowering. Also I was disappointed with the quantity of chicken in the wrap, it was well below any tawook wrap I have ever had. The sandwich was packed with pickled turnips and pickles too make up for the few bits of chicken in the wrap. Overall disappointed with my current experience. Though I will try some other items at some point, for now not pleased with my order.

I cannot believe how good the food is here, it reminded me of back home. The parking situation sucks but you can park on Surrey street and trust me it s worth it. Friendly staff, great food, awesome service.

Restaurant owners make you feel like a guest in their home. I came on vegan night with friends and was blown away. Im not even vegan but I was amazed at the home-cooking deliciousness using the vegan delights of Beyond Meat and Green Goddess Fromagerie. It didnt hurt that they had live musicians too! Excited to come back for a Belly dancing night. Great food and personal service.

We went at a quiet time, mid afternoon. We enjoyed manakeesh, falafel, and baklava. Our neighbouring table was friendly and the four of us and the owner/chef chatted for quite a while. The space is not huge, but has a classy vibe which is welcoming and cozy. They hold special events from time to time as well. Im glad we found our way here because the food was so delicious. We know now that there is parking at the back next time we come by the area. And yes.. the food was very very good. I dont think Ive been able to find a comparable Lebanese place closer to where we live. Next time I go, im bringing more people so we can try more! :) Go check it out!

Had the Eggs Benedict with bacon. Absolutely delicious! Smooth, creamy, buttery hollandaise with perfectly poached eggs. My sister had the vegan pancakes and said they were light and delicious. Will definitely be returning!

This was by far the best Lebanese meal I have had. The food was fresh and well flavoured, and everyone enjoyed it.

A new restaurant in a new building, was excited to try this place. Very clean, bright space. Offers Lebanese food as well as several vegan options (which was the main draw for this morning). I had the tofu scramble, hashbrowns, and toast. Came with tomato slices and balsamic vinegar. The scramble was simple and delicious. Well spiced, topped with vegan cheese, and not over complicated by the addition of sauteed vegetables. This was a perfect medium to light breakfast. My wife had the vegan french toast. Thick cut white bread, dipped in chia seeds and panko, baked in a pizza oven. Sweet, mild crunch, and filling. Good coffee, we were asked if we wanted refills at least twice. Service was very good; attentive, addressed questions. We were the first table of the day which our very short wait time for food reflects. Definitely a place that we will be coming back to, most likely soon to try their dinner options.

I just went to Retour for breakfast and was amazed how delishous the food was and how friendly the owner was! More people should check out the breakfast menu at this joint. We easily found parking not even a minuet away.

Great place to have some quality food. Food is amazing. Prices are a little on the expensive side but other than that everything is great about this place.

Amazing joint. Consistently fresh, delicious, and authentic food, and frendly, knowledgeable staff. Their vegan menu is an impressive 2 pages long, including Lebanese food, pizza, and burgers. The prices are extremely fair and the wait is never long. Good beer selection too. Also they play lo-fi hip hop beats. You dont get enough of that.

Was really wanting to try this place out so ordered delivery from Skip The Dishes. The restaurant cancelled my order and didnt even say why, quite disappointed in this. Unfortunately going to restaurants are difficult to do with a little one so I use delivery, guess I wont be trying this place out :(

Stopped in here for lunch today with my wife and daughter and ordered a Donair pita, small pepperoni pizza and zaatar manakeesh. Everything came piping hot and was fantastic.Donair was wrapped in two pieces of paper so I could remove one and not drop delicious sauce everywhere while I ate.

This is a lovely little Lebanese cafe Bistro. They serve a north american breakfast as well as Mediterranean fare and have a full vegan menu option as well. On a Sunday morning it was quiet and the lady handling the cash and serving was very pleasant. The coffee was good.

Great appetizers. Was not too impressed with the shish kebab or the tawook. Will have to try other items someday.

We used to drive all the way to Milton to get Donaire, but then a friend told me about Retour Bistro also making donaire. I dropped by around 7 on a Saturday, it wasnt busy and my food was ready fast. It was So delicious. I kind of feel like calling the place in Milton and apologizing, but Retour has such a tasty verison. Im a bit mad for donaire, so it may be a while before I try anything else on the menu, but if its any where close itll be amazing.

Great Lebanese food... My daughter and I had the Kebeh and it was so juicy inside and delicious plus it came with a small but unexpected serving of hummus. Plus we had the maneesh with savoury beef and cheese... Never had it so good before. These owners know how to make premium Lebanon favourites! Bringing the wife back next time!

We love the vegan menu! Something for everyone from traditional Lebanese dishes to pizza to all day breakfast! My favorite is the falafel, perfectly crispy on the outside and served with a tangy tahini dip.

The reviews did not lead me astray. Very cute little place with good food and atmosphere. Well be going back! Excellent vegan options!
