Beautiful restaurant, amazing food and very quick and friendly staff. The Jasmine tea is delicious and a great way to start your experience. One of my favourite spots to go to especially in the winter for a nice hot bowl of Pho. Also we have to recommend getting the fresh rolls and enjoy the peanut sauce that it comes with!!!! Can't wait to go back.... I always love it!!!!!
This is a really good place with quality food, decent portions, and fair prices. It's just a small restaurant with some aged decor but not at issue and still a clean place. Highly recommend their spring rolls.
Sweet family-run spot. If fresh and home cooked is your vibe, then this is the place. I had the shrimp summer rolls and seafood pad Thai and my partner had the crepe and a fish main. All dishes were good and fairly priced. Service was prompt and courteous and never overbearing. Paying for the bill at the front was efficient.
Owners are Vietnamese and the food taste alright. Prices stayed almost the same as the last time I visited and good value. Too bad they don’t have Chili Peppers and the soup is not hot enough. It’s hard to locate the beef in the rolls which are mostly vermicelli which is not recommended.
Heads up: they will be closed Thanksgiving weekend. Happy Thanksgiving Pho Kinh Do! The food was tasty but they don’t do the bucket of goodies on the table (sauces, utensils etc.) so we never got chop sticks. Forks and spoons are fine, I guess. I enjoy coming here every now and then when we do stuff in Guelph.
What is there not to love? Authentic experience with quick service, great prices, and awesome flavours. HIGHLY recommend their spring rolls, crispy on the outside and savoury on the inside. This places really does know how to make a great bowl of soup. You can really tell there is heart in this establishment. Huge variety in their menu, and nothing seems to fall short.
I very much enjoy dinning here. The combination of quality and value is hard to beat. Included in my photos were the dining options for the day and they were, Pho (Rare Beef with Chicken), Won Ton Soup, and grilled beef fresh rolls. The soups are delicious and are perfect for warming the soul on a winter day, or any day for that matter.
Reasonable prices with good serving sizes. The service was fast. Pleasantly surprised by the variety of ingredients and options. Enjoyed minced shrimp around sugar cane. Pork and shrimp vermicelli bowl, would recommend more peanuts and a stronger sweet sauce but pretty yummy. Also enjoyed muscles with eggplant, and bamboo shoots in a curry sauce. They did not serve alcohol other then beer the night we went though.
Great spot, authentic flavour.
Consistently delicious food, friendly service, and reasonably priced. The pho, vermicelli bowls and mussels are all favourites! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options
Solid pho, great value!
Wonderful food, fast and affordable. Love this place!
Our go to for days when we need something to warm the soul. Their soups in particular are incredible and the spring rolls are outstanding.
They have the best spring rolls in Guelph. Food came out quickly and at just the right temperature. Serving sizes were great with good quality meats and vegetables. Tea for the table was included with our dine in meals.
Great tasting food for a reasonable price. 2 people can enjoy a bowl for one, lots of beef.
I love their food & service
Ive been to this restaurant many times. Over the past 3 years, the food has deteriorated. The last time I went, my family and I went for lunch. We all got the vegetarian soup and shared the shrimp skewers. The skewers were delicious, but the soups not as much. They delivered the soup warm, not hot, so the noodles and raw vegetables in the soup were not cooked enough. The broth was flavorless, as if it were flavored water and not actual stock/ broth. Also, the vegetables in the soup were massive pieces. They barely cut the broccoli, cauliflower, and mushrooms up. The pieces were so large, you could easily get three bites out of each. Furthermore, the size of soup bowls has shrunk from the last times weve been. The large became the small and the small was even smaller than before. To top that off, maybe their furnace was broken, but we went in there on a cool day in March, and it was just as cold inside the restaurant as outside. We kept our coats on. Extra disappointing to get lukewarm soup on-top of that.
Best Pho in Guelph
Food is a great price. Drinks are a bit more expensive but still worth it (the taro bubble tea is amazing). You can order anything on their menu and it will never miss. Highly recommend.
We come weekly as a treat to ourselves, very polite willing to make things right + good food! Great spot if youre looking to fill up!
Spring rolls are delicious, along with rice, and there side soup.
Had a misunderstanding with the receptionist. We went there 30 minutes before they close and so we thought that we are still allowed to dine in and ordered some food. We were surprised when they brought out the food but it was packed as the receptionist assumed it was for take out. We asked if we can just eat the food quickly for 10 min before they close, and it was a terrible experience since you cannot enjoy the food due to short period of time. The receptionist was rude and does not know what a customer service is like. She let us ate the food but did not even serve us water or made sure we have enough utensils as we decide to eat our food there. Definitely wont come back again.
Stop in and get the best spring rolls in all of Canada!
Loved the food and the service!
The atmosphere in here is incredible. Plus, the staff are very friendly. Great restaurant in my opinion. Delicious experience and next time Im bringing the family. :) First thing I was offered when I came inside from the cold was warm tea. The food is full of flavor the atmosphere is otherworldly.
Great place, food; and menu.
Food is not exactly like the one i order. I order 1 xl and 1 large pho and 2 porkchop.. the soup is only 1/2 of the container. Noodles is too small and two slices of meet and 3 half of meatball. Vegetable is one stalk with two leave. Porkchop was so hard and no taste. Now I realize upon picking up my order theres guy came and take back our order so he could change something.but the lady in the front shaking her head and take back the plastic bag from the guy. Now I realize they made mistake with our order. I called them back for complain and the lady on the phone is so arrogant. Im not recommending this restaurant to anyone. Bad food and not a friendly environment.
Front desk lady is not friendly and food wasnt great. Green curry, the egg plant was hard as fresh and no taste. Pho was so watery and no taste. Ordering in this restaurant is a waste of time and effort. Giving 1 star is too generous to doit.
We came here for a lunch meeting for work and the space was so wonderful. The lighting was good, the background music quiet and the staff was so helpful. Everything we had was delicious. Would definitely come back again. Vegetarian options: The vegetable and tofu soup was AMAZING and the portion size was enormous!
Great food as always!
Very good crispy noodles and pho.
Always have good luck here. The server was still learning English but tried hard, had a positive attitude, and was very friendly. Food is always good. Very extensive menu with pictures. Vietnamese coffee is a must!
Found the food a bit blende compared to other pho restaurants.. also it was cold inside, which made it a bit uncomfortable to dine in. It was kinda funny, as the lady sitting in the front desk had a small area heater running near her.. lol I ended up ordering a coffee and it came prepared already with milk and sugar, which I drink my coffee black. I never mentioned anything, until I got the bill and seen I was being charged $6 for the coffee. They should seriously renovate the washrooms as well.. Overall not a great experience and wont be ever coming back to this restaurant.
Ordered pad thai with no hot spice in the sauce. Got an order of plain noodles. When I called to ask for correction, the staff argued with me saying the dish does not come with any sauce. Do not recommend.
In my opinion the food is the most flavorful in town.
Always love coming here to get our Pho! Portions are generous, and the prices are good.
Food is great and service is good.
Fast service. Hot food. Great selection. Clean and quite. Excellent all around.
Amazing food, great service & low prices.
On a cold day nothing beats a bowel of Pho
The food is always delicious and the staff if friendly.
Food was really tasty. Service was a touch fractured because our party didnt order quite correctly, but staff figured it out eventually. Some dishes were a little delayed, so some folks were almost finished before others saw their meal. Ill return. Food : 5/5
My go to Pho spot in Guelph
We have been coming here for over 16 years and is the quickest, best tasting Vietnamese Restaurant value in town. Soups, Pad Thai, Singapore Noodle Dishes and Various Curries have all been excellent along with included green tea!
Always good food..
Ordered the Pho Tai and some spring rolls. Exactly what youd expect from a local pho restaurant. The broth was a little lighter than I prefer, but the noodles were great and so was the beef. Bean sprouts were fresh and crisp. The spring rolls are average, but they are tasty, no regrets in purchasing them. The staff are polite and service was quick.
Just no-nonsense simple good food.
Came during Victoria Holiday. Awesome place!!! Very nice crowd, amazing singers and the atmosphere was very engaging. Light show and DJ equipment just put it over the top. Service was top notch, and servers were incredibly nice and quick. Would recommend any day of the week. Even met the owner who was very nice. Absolute blast to be a part of. Gave me all the good vibes I remembered from Vietman. Parking: Tons of parking
First time here. Food was absolutely delicious and authentic! I dated a vietnamese girl for 4 years and I have tried many different meals and been at many vietnamese restaurants and this specific location is now my new to go location. Prices are very competitive compared to other locations near by. Parking: Lots of open parking available
Not good experience, today I went there and ask the lady for veggie spring rolls but she said see the menu and order,on the first page of menu I see spring roll( they did not mentioned on menu that they are meat ones ) and I ordered it ,but at that time also I said veggie spring rolls,I don t know she not understood or what.Anyhow when the plate come and to confirm I asked her that these are veggie right and she said no these spring rolls are filled with meat.I asked her that I mentioned you specifically and then she start showing me the menu that you ordered meat ones but no where on menu it is written that these are meat spring rolls ,it is simply written spring rolls, then she said me if you need veggie spring roll ,you need to pay again ,terrible customer service ,so I left the place in frustration with plate on table without touching it. First update your menu properly rather than asking customer to pay again.Train your employees properly to listen at first place than asking for money again and guide the customer properly, not even deserve one star.
Amazing food, flavors that keep you coming back and the service is very quick, even when it is busy.
Lots to choose from on the menu and its all delicious. Also very well priced for the budget conscious!
my favourite place for pad thai in guelph! perfect balance of flavours and good meat, veggie, noodle ratio. not exactly authentic pad thai but it is absolutely delicious.
Best Pad Thai and Spring rolls weve ever had! Hands down!
My favorite things to order are D15 & C9 the first one is a mango shake and the second one is pineapple chicken, soooooo dam good Food
Havent had pho in a while, and this place really hit the spot amazing broth. Everything was fresh and delicious. Their vermicelli bowls are huge. Everything was amazing def want to try more.
We unfortunately had poor experience with an unfriendly server. We were not offered a drink when seated and we were not given any napkins until I asked for some half way through our meal. Even then, I was given 4 napkins for 7 people. Every time I asked our server something, she did not reply, not even a nod to acknowledge that she heard us but clearly she did since she came back with the item we asked for. Service was quick and food was decent.
I just realized I should make a review, as weve been going here for a long time (10+ years??)and Pho Kin Doh is our familys #1 choice Vietnamese restaurant!I am picky when it comes to food/restaurants and they are top notch! Always wonderful service, fair prices, generous portions, tastefully made meals and authentic place!
Last two times had brutal service which is too bad because the food is tremendous. This last time we came in we were seated and waited 20 minutes. No water, no orders taken. Host walked past 6 or 7 times, never said a word. We kept waiting but nobody bothered. I d love to say the place was busy but on a Friday night it was empty. It wasn t an aberration either as the last time the same thing happened. It s a shame
Extraordinary menu, great value, roomy, great food
Always good
I always loved this place . I had been coming there for 12 yrs. I loved their rice combo menu especially the one that has pork, chicken. Steam pork, fried egg and shredded pork skin. Most especially they are the only PHO restaurant that I been that serves free yummy tea and a free delicious soup! I loves the free soup ! I moved to a different town now and I really missed this place. I never been into any Vietnamese restaurants that offers the same menu like they do. Price are also reasonable. Loved this place and highly recommended.
Ordered a vermicelli platter, portion is very good, taste good as well.
Had take out from here! Pad Thai was delicious and portions were generous for the noodles. The minced shrimp on sugarcane was nice too, although the sugarcane was a little salty.
Not the best service but food was great
Dont come for the decorations, but do come for the food. Well priced, well sized portions, friendly service. I doesnt get much better for your hard earned dollars.
Ordered a chicken stir fry with peppers and pineapple, what I received was a soup with undercooked veggies barely any chicken and absolutely no flavour, not sure where the word fry was associated with this dish, worst Thai/Viet food I have ever had
Fantastic prices. Food is always quickly served and good. One of the best places I know for Pho and other Vietnamese food. Conveniently across the street from Galaxy Cinema.
Great portion, excellent price.
Always hits the pho cravings. Food is excellent. Service is very good. Atmosphere feels quiet and casual.
Always good, and consistent.
Ordered Pho and meat ball, all below the average. Won t comeback.
Pretty good and excellent prices. Nice decor. Not fancy but good food.
Great service. The place looks run down. But the food is yummy. I especially like the veggie spring rolls.
We love going here for Pho!!
Our go-to for Vietnamese food in Guelph! Authentic and delicious every time. We usually do takeout and its always packed really well and as fresh as possible when we get it home. The springrolls are a must, and my standing order of P11 has yet to fail me.
Always Great quality food and amazing flavours. My husbands favourite!
My fave Vietnamese restaurant of them all. The hot beef spring rolls are so good. The only thing is change about them is Id put herbs in the rolls.
Food was awesome! Slightly disappointed in the service as I had to get up twice to find a server for a beverage. The restaurant was not busy at all.
Its great. Not the best pho Ive ever had, but definitly the best in town. Best in class for sure. A definite must eat, again and again.
The best Asian food anywhere! Absolutely love it!!
Okay place. Ive had better. Ordered large pho with beef balls and only got one tiny beef ball, like cmon. Update** I went in today and ordered a large pho with beef balls. They put plenty beef balls for me this time. Unfortunately, the beef balls tasted like they had gone bad.
Great food and great service!
Not fancy at all but very nicely prepared Vietnamese food, a large menu, and very reasonable prices make this a good place to try. Weve come here many times and all experiences have been good.
Excellent food and great service.
Good food for the money
I have tried the pho, pad thai, stir fired veggies and other dishes... I always get the spring rolls too. Never disappinted with anything. Great for the price!
Good pho broth! Dont be a fool and get the large pho with a beer though. Youre not that guy.
Good food with cheaper price
Great food great prices
It was okay
Im not really sure what all the reviewers are raving about here - honestly giving this place 1 star feels generous. We ordered meatball skewers as an appetizer, which were so overcooked I could barely get my teeth into them. The pho was tasteless because it was so watered down. My company and I couldnt even finish the food here.
Great food, great service, horrible bathroom.
Pho restaurants is a Vietnamese rice based soup house. Now you wouldnt normally consider soup as a main dish but here it perfectly is. Many of their dishes are Congee (rice porridge) soups with a variety of flavors. The Chicken congee is the chicken soup of the Asian world and perfect when you are feeling under the weather. Just ask for extra ginger which is good for sore throats. Overall, I love the Beef pho soup, its my favorite. Make sure you all try the condiments including the sweet hoisin sauce and Sriracha sauce. Youll be glad you did! Great friendly staff and kindly polite to deal with. Give this place a try today!
First time at this restaurant Hostess/Server she wasn t engaging barely said hello Battered Shrimp had no taste Pad Thai was OK but definitely had better! Long Island Ice Tea was served in a small glass so all you tasted was alcohol ( but it helped the experience ) Won t be returning
Very nice place and very good food.
First time here. Service was quick. Food was good. I had the special pho. The portion was a decent size and there was plenty of meat. I will be returning next time Im in the area.
Best Asian restaurant in Guelph. I come from Montreal and whenever I come to Guelph, I make sure to stop by. Their food is always tasty and their Pad Thai is the best so far in all my travel accross north america. Dish are mostly 13-15$ and enough for one person but I always take 2 cause theyre so good. Vegetarian options: Remove the meat from almost any dish and you have it vegan Parking: Plenty
Perfect
It is always good here
Liked it there good food at affordable prices.
Unbelievable value. You don t come here for the decor but the food is delicious with no fuss and very authentic
Traditional looking environment. Nice staff. Food was good except the portion should have been bigger. Compare other viet restaurants. I got myself a vermicelli with shrimp, grilled chicken and spring roll. Hot sauce is very hot but that s on the side. Oyster and chilli is on the side if you want to be wild with your taste buds! Tea was delicious!!
The food is great and the menu is still priced in the year 2019 . you can eat here without breaking the bank. Entree dishes from $12 up . We always enjoy this place. The vegetables are not from frozen (you can tell, especially if you cook a lot like I do.).
Food is consistently good!!
Cant say enough good things about this place. Amazing food! Comes out very fast. My fav place in Guelph
Great food, service, and super reasonably priced! Definitely going to keep coming back here!
Great mom and pops restaurant. Food is very tasty, and prices are quite reasonable.
Delicious!
Sad to give this review after enjoying this food for almost 2 decades. Food has gone downhill the last time or two and tonight it wasn t the same at all. Our old favourites looked and tasted totally different. In fact they didn t taste like much at all. Our fresh rolls were even all split open from being way overstuffed. I called the restaurant but they said the kitchen did everything right . We ended up throwing out most of the food. Thanks for the good years but we won t be back. We ll try some of the other restaurants in town in future.
Tonight we went here looking for quality Vietnamese food. The chicken and shrimp had a burnt taste but I figured thats just how they cook it. The noodles were dry and chewy and needed a lot of sauce added but again I thought maybe this is just how they cook them. Where they lost the stars for me was that I bit into a cucumber and it tasted dirty and was gritty. This was enough for me to be done with my dinner. On our way home I felt sick and ended up having an upset stomach. When we first walked in we were ignored for a while and were about to leave when we were seated. No drinks were offered to us when seated nor when our order was taken so we ended up needing to ask for water after being seated for a while. I had ordered the shrimp satay and grilled chicken vermicelli.
Do not recommend. Waited a while to be acknowledged and seated while there was an employee sitting behind the counter. Ordered an extra large pho dac biet. Had a few pieces of protein. Soup wasn t hot. The noodles were stiff/bland like they were boiled and sat out all day to be reboiled to order. The broth itself tasted watered out. They gave me disposable chopsticks to use in their restaurant.
Good food!
Great food, great prices, fast service. Dine in or take out. One of my favourite places to eat in Guelph. Takeout menu attached:
The pho is amazing. Hidden gem! Staff are great and cant beat the prices
We just ordered our dinner it s April 11/21. We order G6 green Currie and C5 chicken mushrooms and onions...Absolutely no taste to either dish. Spring rolls were OK.
Pho Kinh amazing
Great food, covid safe environment, recommended
Great food great prices fresh but only one person serving slow at times but good service
cost and performance is good!
Nice place very clean but food was not as favorable as I like.
The food is tasty and price is reasonable, friendly staff but didnt see her always, overall is good and deserve 4 stars out of 5.
best pho I ever tried!
Had three dishes. Chicken Fried Rice. Mango Chicken and Pineapple Chicken. Chicken Fried Rice was very tasty but the portion would be big if we were mice. The portion was not enough for a small person. Pushing $13.00 it should have been at least double the size. The pineapple and mango dishes were ok at best, nothing to really talk about. Again portions were small but what was surprising was the lack of meat. I have never seen a chicken or beef dish with so little of the main ingredient. Maybe it would have been better if there was actually a nice portion of meat. If it is a chicken or beef dish it should have chicken and beef in it, not just shavings of each. On top of that the vegetables were undercooked and the mango was not ripe. It was like eating raw vegetables with sauce and hard sour mango. This place has potential but they need to increase the portion sizes, make sure the vegetables are cooked properly and add a decent amount of meat of which the dish is named after. In addition offer your customer something to drink and from time to time see if they need anything. Two times we saw the server, when ordering and leaving. Not good. A piece of advice to the owners: iif you want to see new customers returning to give you repeat business, give them a reason to. As it stands we will not be back.
Excellent food and service.
Always tasty
I like ordering take outs from here. Great pricing and always ready in time.
Best Thai place in Guelph. Great prices too
Pork was very dry, did not get sauces, tasted old.
My favourite Vietnamese restaurant. Very nice staff, good service. The food is really good, especially for the prices. I recommend this restaurant, it s simple and easy to order, and the food comes so quickly.
So good! 1st time visit tonight with the family. It was awesome. Nice pace of service, didn t feel rushed but didn t have to wait long. Food was so tasty and the portions were very generous. Will definitely be back.
Amazing food wonderful service. Highly recommended
Good soups. However my mom order vietnamese style coffee and they gave her regular claiming they had mixed it for her...
Portion was very small
Great portions and tasty soup!
Amazing food, amazing servers. The pho is incredible. This is one of the best places in Guelph for sure!
The most amazing spring rolls(A1-L).
I love Vietnamese noodle bowl soup. Opted for takeout but dining room was open for service.
Best hidden gem in Guelph.
They have best singaporean noodles
Food is delicious here, great portions and comes out steaming hot. Price is extremely good and reasonable as well! Best Vietnamese place in Guelph in my opinion.
YUM. real. Authentic. Delicious. Viet coffee here is amazing. Would recommend the vermicelli bowls.
A great authentic restaurant, the Pad Thai was delicious!
Great food
Great food and good prices, one of my fav lunch spots.
Had the basil chicken which was flavourless, soupy and had very tiny peices of chicken. Also had the grilled chicken with vermicelli and it was not very good. Cut up dry pieces of chicken on a bed of vermicelli noodles. Spring rolls were ok. I would not eat here again.
Love this place!!! The Best pho and price in guelph!
My go to place for pho : )
Soooooooo good
Very good food
Fast friendly service and great food! Pleased with the experience.
Amazing pho and fried tiger shrimp!
Good food.
Good food and service
Amazing.. well priced, fast, delicious!
A pretty decent family owned pho shop in Guelph. Very limited options out here but this place is great. Service is good and the pho is great especially for those days that you are hungover. I would suggest to go with the L which is equivalent to a medium size bowl at other Pho restaurants or XL for the large portion
Place was good back in the days, but food quality and taste is very poor now
Food is good here. Service is fast and courteous. My favorite noodle place in Guelph
Its good pho. Okay bun bo hue... Convenient since there only few pho restaurant in guelph.. Price are good
One of Guelph s hidden gems! Great prices, food and customer service. Worth the visit!
I paid over 20$ but only 8 pieces of shrimp and 1.5 piece cold dry chicken. It s not worth. The worst experience ever. Never come back again.
Food was very good and service was quick.
