Beer town is my go to spot for a gluten free meal! Their staff is always so welcoming and personable, even during peak times! I ve always had great dining experiences here. Dietary restrictions: Amazing spot for gluten free options. The staff are fantastic at accommodating gluten free meals!

I knocked off a star from this review because its pretty obvious they dont like single diners because they are not as profitable per unit space... They have since completely remedied their their stance on single diners and have come to realize that single diners tend to patronize them when they are almost empty. All in all, this restaurant is probably the best value for your money in Guelph ... The food and the service is good, the selection is good, and its owned locally so some of the profits actually funnel back into the business and it shows. All in all I had a great experience as the food was top quality and the servers were friendly and efficient. I was very impressed with their blueberry and kale salad and their nachos and guacamole were amazing. The chefs at this restaurant were actually inspired and know what will reach the table and the customer.

Had our 50th wedding Anniversary celebration here. They went ALL out. Balloons, champagne, and soo much more. The food was awesome. Beyond highly recommend. Treated like Royalty.

Nice place, but we didnt get the best service overall from our server. Food was served cold and upon asking the server to take it back or re heat them, she mentioned that wasnt an option and we still had to pay the full price for the food. We wont be coming back again.

We went here for dinner in a big group of ten, two of which had allergies, and they were AMAZING! The allergies were no issue, they were patient with our kids, and I would definitely come back.

Every time I visit, the food is consistently delicious, and I m never disappointed with my order. The menu offers a wide range of options, from classic comfort food to creative dishes that are full of flavor. Updated Review: We are regulars here and after what happened last night we wont dine here again. We had taken a break for some months as we were busy and they were having calamari supply issues and the Calamari is what I go for as I have a gluten intolerance. Last night my daughter and her friends went and she got her usual Plant Based truffle fries and Calamari with plant based dill ranch. She informed the server that she had a dairy allergy, as she always does. Her calamari comes and she eats most of it, and almost all of the 2 dill ranch sauces she has and ger plant based truffle fries come and the guy informs her they ran out of dill ranch a while ago so they subbed regular ranch. They did not tell her that when they delivered the calamari. The ranch has dairy. She is allergic, its not an instant anaphlactic reaction for her, it takes a few hours and ends with severe GI issues and severe inflammation. The server felt awful and informed Emily that she was not told and then later found out that the dill ranch is no longer plant based and she did not know that either as she had just returned from maternity leave. My daughter called me having a panic attack as she knew what would be happening in a few hours. The manager came over and said he was sorry and compd her meal but that was it...no empathy..no what can we do to make this right..no plan to make sure this never happens again. He made her feel like this was not a big deal and that he didnt really care. This is NOT the servers fault, there is obviously very broken communication and they have clearly become much more lax about how they care about food allergies. This was one of the only places in Guelph that my daughter felt safe eating and now that is gone as well. A manager was supposed to call me this morning and that didnt happen either. So DO NOT go here if you have food allergies as they seemingly no longer take them seriously.

Wonderdul place! Great food and very welcoming and friendly staff. Impressive selection of beer. Good place if you wanna watch a game with many big screens around, but they are not overwhelming, so it is still perfect for family/friends gathering. Busy, lively vibe on a weekend night. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options including Bertown Pad Thai with tofu, Cream.of Tomato Soup, nachos, wedges, fries, pretzels andbthe Beertown Salad. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu has games and activities, there are crayons, the staff was very attentive to the child in our group Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible. Washroom on the same level as the restaurant and the street.

I called for a reservation they said they don t need one around those times and when we came in at the time we wanted a reservation for and asked for and they asked where is a reservation and we need to wait around 15 or more minutes.

Racist Profiling at its best! Its taken me almost a week to digest and still stunned by the treatment my date encountered at Beertown last week Friday. Ive been going to Beertown Guelph with friends and family for years...at least once a month and on several occasions to their other locations in Oakville/Mississauga. Now what we experienced last Friday was quite unbelievable. Was supposed to be there at 7pm to meet up with a friend. He got there before I did, went in to use the washroom and came out to wait for me. By the time I got there he asked that we go somewhere else to eat. Heres why...the manager said he cant come into the restaurant because hes making other guests uncomfortable! She said the guests saw him in the ladies washroom. Now that was a blatant lie! Because 1. This is not our first rodeo at this restaurant so we both know the bathrooms. 2. My friend confirmed there was no one in the mens washroom when he was in there. 3. He said to me...Unless the womens washroom have the wallunit standing piss pots then he may have been in the wrong washroom. 4. My friend confirmed there was no one at the tables by the washroom. 5. You cant see inside the washroom from the tables. Now did the manager bother to confirm what happened and how whomever complained came up with this story? No she didnt! I went in to speak with her and realized she did not even investigate and simply said to me that she had to respect the guests concern. My question was why their word over his? The reasoning was nonexistent, excuses did not make any sense and seemed targeted. And her face said it all...Minority! A black man! Without a doubt why not take the easy route and just believe the white guys! Now Im a well traveled African Canadian living in Canada for 25 years with a career and strong background in luxury travel, tourism & hospitality; and I can say Im well experienced enough to recognize a racist and incompetent person in many environments. My friend on the other hand who has only been in Canada for 2 years took it quite hard and could not believe how and why a complete stranger would fabricate such a story! Shame on your Manager! Will I ever step there again? No! While all my other experiences at Beertown has been stellar...this one time nonsense has surely left a bitter taste in my mouth and even WORSE for my friend.

Great beer selection, certainly one of the best in Guelph. I wish they had a few more local beers, but thats okay. They always carry an amazing selection. Food is pretty good and service is decent, plus they are always fairly busy. It is on the pricey side, but it is acceptable as the quality is high. Update Oct 2024 Service definitely went downwards recently. Ive been going there frequently and noticed a sharp decline. We had problems with service the last 4 or 5 times I was there. Some wrong beer/flight order, servers who were rude, someones food was forgotten, the server seemed in a hurry to get us out, or server took forever to show up. Very disappointing to see that happening. Beer selection is great and food is good.

I go there often

I am celiac so finding a safe restaurant is tricky. Our waiter gave me wrong information about their desserts, so I didnt order one. A few moments later the manager stopped by and handed me a gift card to come back and enjoy one of their many gluten free desserts. Very much appreciated.

As a solo guest, I had a very enjoyable experience at Beertown. This is solely because of my server - William. William did an excellent job and ensured my dietary needs were accommodated. I really appreciated his friendliness and the energy that he brought. I know for certain that his other customers must feel the same way I do for his service. Great job, William!

Great place to experience local craft beers. Food was alright aswell. Great atmosphere and the patio was decent. Think it was Scott on the bar (tall, friendly dude), was fantastic and made sure I was setup with beers to my taste. He definitely made the effort to make me feel welcome. Probably the best Beertown Ive been in because of his efforts.

I came here with a group of 30 people for an event. I started my meal with a Caesar salad and it was very bland. There was not enough dressing, the croutons were flavourless. It would be nice if it was served with a lemon wedge as this would help with the flavour. I then had a hamburger and fries. The fries were good and fresh. The hamburger was bland, the meat needs more seasoning. My friend ordered the Yucatan bowl and they said it was very bland, had a lack of flavour and needs a lot more seasoning. They need to give more of the cilantro lime and again, maybe a wedge of lime would add to the flavour.

We are already regulars but we left our latest dinner happy. Our server Emma was the friendliest of people, the food was great and her and the manager even chased us down as we were leaving to give us a brownie after celebrating an anniversary. We also appreciate the large plant based menu. Great place! Already thinking about our next visit.

Every time we eat here we have a great time, but our recent server Ashley was amazing! She provided great suggestions on beers and gave us samples as well. All of the staff are amazing and the food is always great. (:

We had an amazing time at beertown. Our server William was amazing and helped us with everything and anything we needed. My daughter and husband are visiting her university and it was a wonderful experience.

It took a long time for service but once we ordered food it came very fast. I got the steak salad. It was nice.

Portions have got smaller and prices have gone up - going elsewhere as not great value

My wife and I went into Beertown a couple of weeks ago on a sunny afternoon to enjoy some lunch on the patio. We were greeted kindly by the hostess and sat quickly, recieved our menus quickly, and my ESA was even greeted with support as a couple of servers had asked her name and taken photos of her after asking permission. As my wife and I were in the midst of ordering drinks we experienced one of the rudest scenarios we have ever had in a restaurant when the, I assume FOH manager, approached us and told us we couldnt have our very well behaved animal with us because it may make other guests uncomfortable. I asked not only the servers who were enthused by our pet Sally if they were uncomfortable as well as the guests at the tables adjacent to us if they were uncomfortable and received a resounding No, shes great! To which the manager proceeded to kick us out of the restaurant. As someone who has lived in Guelph longer than Beertown has been around I have been a semi frequent patron for lunches. I have a fairly extensive group of work colleges (a dozen or so) who I also attend Beertown with for work lunches often. After encountering this, frankly, rude and crass manager who approached us and created a problem out of nothing, unfortunately, none of us will be returning to this establishment. Side note: I am an executive chef and my wife is a world renowned bartender, so we know the restaurant industry extremely well, respect any establishment were in, respect the staff, and respect the ongoings within every establishment. The fact that we were treated like scum is unacceptable. I was recently recognized by name by MaryAnne who is always so friendly and welcoming. Our waitress, Carly was also fantastic. I have had everything on the plant based menu and I can honestly say you won t be disappointed in anything on this menu.

Could not speak more highly of a restaurant. Been coming here for over a year, always good food/great service. Today, my boyfriend was celebrating his new lease on life after a serious accident. Managers/staff ensured we were extremely well looked after. As somebody who also works in the service industry, I ve always been impressed by this place, but today was beyond. Thanks Beertown!

sooo disappointed in the food. I got the BBQ brisket burger and the veins I found in my burger were disgusting. I immediately spit it out didnt even eat my meal keep in mind I paid 21.99$ plus tax. It used to be decent here and now it s gone downhill to even serve that out is a big problem. I wouldn t even give this a one star.

Had lunch today with a group of my work mates. Our server, Karly, was stupendous! Every detail was looked after. Our original reservation got messed a wee bit, but the manager, Mary Ann, quickly fixed it and also treated us to free appetizers. The food was incredible. In my last visit, I gave a 4 star rating. It must have been the exchange rate bc this is a very fun place with friendly staff, great food and relaxed atmosphere.

We had a late lunch here the other day and loved it! Their extended patio is dog friendly and the staff were super patient and accommodating with my friend s two dogs. The service was awesome! Food was delicious. We wanted to stay for dessert but were a little rained out, unfortunately! Even though it wasn t the staff s fault at all, they were so kind and apologetic! Since we couldn t move inside, they even gave us a brownie!

Everything was good but the quality of meat on the burger was below expectations. It was cooked well and everything else was great. I assume this was a temporary issue and not a reflection of the quality normally. Well find out next time :)

Today was the second time in 3 weeks I had a book signing in Guelph-both times I met with friends for lunch -served by Emma and Jamey and visited today at my table by General manager Meghan. My friends and I were impressed by both experiences--the food, the service, and the way we were welcomed and treated was remarkable. Everyone on staff seemed so genuine-which is an important but not always evident part of a restaurant experience.

We really appreciate Ashley s service with us. We were celebrating our friend who passed away, and she not only made our experience comfortable but she also made it better.

The best burgers in town. Just left from Fathers Day lunch with my dad. The place was packed but the service was still amazing, friendly and quick.

We went for dinner this past weekend to celebrate Fathers Day and my Birthday. When we arrived, it was very busy with people waiting between the doors as well as as outdoors for a table. I made a reservation for the patio and we were seated right away. It is a nice patio, but it was a little cool, so it would have been nice to have the heaters turned on. Inside is very loud so I was happy to have a table on the patio. Our server was friendly, professional, and attentive. We started with the wonton nachos, which were great. The group ordered fish tacos, veggie burger, and the fried chicken all of it was delicious. On our previous visits, we enjoyed their beer flights - they have a great selection to choose from. Thank you for the brownie cake in celebration of my birthday.

This place never fails to please. The servers are always happy and friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and the portions are the perfect size. We come here often because we consistently get great service, great food and great atmosphere. Very well run establishment! Cant wait to go back!

Brisket was FULL of fat, I was there yesterday and still feeling sick.

To be honest, I just finished eating here and I will say; Its a lot like fishing in the weedy section of a Lake. Have to distract yourself a lot with your thoughts (in this case because Its too loud. It sounds like people are SHOUTING nonstop), the food variety is terrible (see Food comment below), and the atmosphere (kid friendlyness) was terrible. Overall, unless I get dragged out by my family, I wont come back again. Vegetarian options: Practically none, as it was 90 percent chicken and Fish. Dietary restrictions: As a person who has a fish aversion and a Spice intolerance (along with personal tastes), that leaves the Ultimate Mac and Cheese, and thats it. Talk about a hard menu choice. Kid-friendliness: Almost too friendly. There were kids running up and down and down the tables making a mess and the staff seemed indifferent to it.

An outstanding experience! First time there and had my 3 week old granddaughter with us, so first time for us both. Carly was our fabulous server and the GM was so considerate and sent a lovely tray of complimentary desserts to mark the occasion. Beer 5 stars, service 5 stars, food 1 star. Stopped by to have a conversation with my sister. I only planned on having 1 beer and thats it, but I broke down & ordered 1 lb of the breaded chicken wings. The wings were good once I removed half the weight of the wing, which was nothing but deep-fried bread. I write this review because I hope it gets veiwed by management. I have a hard time believing this is truly how you want your wings served. 1st wing, 1st bite was nothing but bread & wing sauce. No meat at all. To be blunt - it was disgusting. I came here and honestly wont be back. I sympathize with the crew because we were a very large party but the steak I ordered medium rare was barely cooked and was completely raw. I didnt send this back mostly due to the fact that I felt really bad for the crew, they were super friendly and accommodating. I cooked it when I got home and it was delicious but honestly, the pricing would keep me away from visiting again.

Im always quite happy with the food and service here . It was quite busy this time and food still came out quickly and was delicious. Ordered a drink and asked for a specific brand of cider , told they had some on tap, was disappointed after tasting and looking up the beverage it was not infact the correct brand. Didnt like it , didnt drink it , wasnt asked about my full drink obviously barely touched.

first time dining here - we found the menu to be very sparse - not a lot of choices and more expensive than we are used to paying - the wings were meaty but a little spicy for mild wings and $18.99 for a lb - wow - the brisket burger was tasty but had much more bun that meat - we probably wont return as there wasnt value for our dollar but thank you for the experience

**** Update ***** I firstly would like to say thank you to both Ashley (Manager) and Chris (Regional Manager) for personally contacting me after some previous concerns to clarify some information and facts with me. I really appreciate how proactive they were. Primarily we have begun to visit BeerTown locations because they do offer a gluten free menu, however it is considered Gluten Friendly because cross contamination can never be guaranteed. My daughter is now 12 years old, and was diagnosed with Celiac Disease 10 years ago. When we do on occasion go out to restaurants with her it does take much consideration. She has major anxiety when we dine out and thankfully servers are for the most part very reassuring to her after she asks--- like 5 times about the gluten. Anyway we did go to BeerTown in Guelph for this reason. Again we were greeted by wonderful staff, our service was amazing and the food was also good! My daughter was confortable and did not experience any issues with the food. Thank you BeerTown we will be back!

Fish and chips, supposed to be blue cod, expensive and 80% batter. Took it home, peeled off the batter and a little piece of what looked like Herring from a can, and 3/4 inch of batter around it. Very greasy.

Great experience, very cozy and calm. Food was delicious, we started with the pretzels that came with beer cheese dip and honey mustard, both of which were phenomenal. I got the turkey burger and my partner got a beef burger which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Our server was sweet and quick, we will be back!

Ive been here twice and both times had exceptional service and the food is immaculate. I definitely recommend getting a paddle to share with your friends Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free and dairy free options

First and foremost we ve always enjoyed the dine in experience. My issue today was with the take out order we placed and incomplete orders. Disappointed, stick with dining in.

This location has a brunch special. We came early so it was not too busy. They serve pretty quickly and the server visits you quite often. Waffles with chicken apparently very good, so I might re-order this next time. The dessert cake was too sweet, but the ice cream was okay.

Me and my mother had such an amazing experience at this dining establishment. The New York steak sandwich was fantastic and our server was extremely accommodating. 10/10 would go again.

The beer selection was great. The price of food was a bit pricey so we didnt order any. The service was great, and she saved us from a very bad choice of beer. It tasted like wine and vinegar , thankfully, they were sample shots. Pretty bad taste buds if you like that mix. I might try the food one day, but I doubt the prices for food will drop.

Lots of hustle and bustle. Our server Kolton was fantastic. Answered our menu questions, and provided prompt service. Food was delish!!! Will be stopping there again.

Came here for date night and had a great experience. All the food came out quickly and tasted great. I definitely would recommend the pretzels and the chicken wraps. Would definitely return.

I ordered pad Thai, it was excellent, great flavour of the sauce. The service was also prompt. The waiter came around several times to make sure we had everything we wanted, even topped up our water when we were done, already paid and hadn t left yet.

Pretty decent as a sports bar, the food was good! Not to throw anyone under the bus but the service at the bar was spotty at best, and at one point the bartender disappeared for like 12 minutes not even exaggerating. Ive worked in hospitality and I know things happen but at least ask someone to watch your customers if you have to leave the bar for that long. Otherwise a totally fine place to go!

Really nice spot in Guelph for drinks and food. The menu is amazing and there are really fun drinks, a full vegan menu, and really great service from staff. We had Travis help us at our table and it really made the experience that much more enjoyable. The vegan menu is amazing and includes gluten free options. We ordered wonton nachos, the Monterey chicken sandwich, and the beerville hot chicken sandwich. The hot chicken sandwich was massive and both sandwiches were delicious. Highly recommend this place and I would stop by again for more.

First time at Beertown and my experience was great, I will definitely be back there more often. Great food and great selection of beverages.

Really disappointed with the quality of food. I ordered the Asian salmon bowl and the cucumber and some pieces of kale were rotten. This is unfortunate since I chose to go work them when I was tasked with organizing lunch for a work event.. usually they have a certain standard but not this time. Update** the GM Marry Anne called me and made this situation right. As I said, this is not the typical standard I have received and can admit this was an isolated event. The level of accountability Beertown Guelph has taken is admirable. She offered me reimbursement and more importantly dealt with the issue immediately by addressing her staff and the kitchen. Let s give it a second chance. I am impressed with how this was handled.

My first visit to Beertown exceeded my expectations, and I am absolutely looking forward to making it a recurring destination in the days to come. The overall experience left a lasting impression, and I cant wait to return and explore more of what Beertown has to offer.

I recently visited this restaurant, and I was truly impressed by the outstanding service and friendly staff. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed and attended to my needs throughout the meal. They were attentive, courteous, and always ready to offer recommendations. The service truly enhanced my dining experience, and I will definitely be returning for another memorable meal.

Service was terrible. Very bad, lack of respect was very evident. The Name of the Waiter/Server is Colton. Food was okay. Will not return to the this store. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Came here for the second time. Ordered the Monterrey chicken sandwich. The chicken was less than 5 mm thick, the photo doesn t lie. Because it was so thin, it was overcooked.

Fantastic time yet again. I am never disappointed here. We celebrated a birthday tonight and the food was great. I particularly love love their new Singapore sub and Yucatan bowl. We also appreciate the diverse gluten free menu. We like calamari and nachos.

Tonights meal was such a disappointment. Fiancé and I came in for dinner and everything was overcooked. Had pretzels for an app, and the bread was overdone, dry, and brittle. Ordered the hot fried chicken, and it was also overcooked, and so saturated that the bun fell apart on the first bite. Fries were just shy of being burnt to a crisp. Fiancé had the brisket platter with extra brisket, which was not seasoned, or sauced at all. There was so much fat on the pieces, he couldnt eat the majority of it. The potato salad was horrible. Potatoes were undercooked, and the sauce was unpleasant. We both have felt sick since leaving. On top of that, we saw your expo manager disrupt the flow of the bar and spill food, while the bartender was trying to do her job. Then, I am guessing it was the MOD, came out and spoke to both workers on the floor! Not something patrons should have to see which left the bartender visibly flustered. Such a terrible experience for such a pricy bill...

The brisket burger had a nice meaty taste, however the bun was too big and bready, and needed to be toasted more. Overall more meat was needed on the sandwich. The fries were below average. The atmosphere was a sports bar, and the service was above average.

Just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Beertown in Guelph for the remarkable service we had this morning. We walked in as a group of 25 without a reservation. The staff handled it like champs. Our servers (Austin and a female waitress) were amazing! They were patient with the kids and quick to bring refills for the adults. 5 stars!

Kind of a hip cool place to go get atmosphere lots of beers good prices on beer generally. unfortunately I thought the food was kind of expensive and Its unfortunate that nowadays you have to pay $20 to $25 for a good hamburger??! They had some huge salad on the menu for $23.50. Wow. Salad with chicken I think for that price. Hmm too steep for me.

We were at a private event last night. This was my first time going in. I had always had a mental image of a beer hall serving basic pub grub . Wow, was I ever wrong. The entire evening I was blown away. The staff were all fabulous, quick and friendly. But the main event was the food. Because of the type of event it was, food was just circulating all night so I had an opportunity to try many (and I do mean MANY) different dishes. And they were ALL fabulous. My favorite was the fried chicken, but that s just me. From a place I really just tended to avoid, it s now a place I m looking forward to going back to. Thanks Beertown. You have absolutely converted me to a raving fan.

Excellent service, food came out almost suspiciously fast whatever that means. We have never been served that quickly. Sat by the door hence the atmosphere rating. It was the New York Steak & Frites that were the disappointment. Steaks were cold and under cooked. Would not order again. Frites

Had a great pre holiday get together with friends. Food was very good, service was great only deducted one star as its getting pricey. But I guess thats a sign of the times.

Beertown is a great place to eat and have a drink. Clean and stylishly decorated. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh and tasty. We had a very pleasant experience. Will definitely visit again. Parking: Unlimited free parking in the mall parking lot.
