Had reservations for 22 for a Christmas lunch for work staff. They provided a select menu with delicious offerings. No one was dissatisfied with their food. It's very reasonable for $30 for the 3 course offerings. Friendly staff and service.
I recently visited this restaurant with work colleagues, and it provided a great environment to connect and enjoy each other’s company. From the outside, the restaurant looks very appealing, but the interior, especially the side I was seated on, felt a bit underwhelming and could use some updating. Unfortunately, my dining experience wasn’t the best. There was a mix-up with my order in the kitchen, so my food didn’t arrive at the same time as the rest of my party. When I finally got my burger, it was overcooked to well-done, leaving the meat very dry. The bun-to-patty ratio also felt off, and I couldn’t help but feel I could have made a better burger at home. On a positive note, the waitstaff were pleasant, accommodating, and apologetic about the mix-up. While I appreciated their efforts, I left feeling a bit disappointed overall. With some updates to the decor and improvements in food quality, this restaurant could definitely offer a better experience.
Came here last night for dinner and had amazing service! All of the staff was super welcoming and friendly. I ordered a steak that was cooked perfectly and my fiance got the wings on special super good price !!!! Thank you guys we will for sure be back. Tip: order any drink with pear juice it's delicious!
Good service , good atmosphere, but guys … the chicken club DEFLATION?!!? .. come on.. lucky I am 190lb what if I was 225lb .. 2 small pieces of chicken ?!? It’s not acceptable , please advise. MANAGEMENT . Thanks
Just came back from their Thanksgiving service and everything was wonderful! From the service to the food, everything was great. Tamara (our server) was delightful and turkey was tender and delicious. We were informed that it had been sitting in a brine for three days and it definitely tasted like it. Great time overall!
Borealis Grille in Guelph is the perfect lunch spot. We sat outside, enjoying the friendly and timely service from the staff. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious—I’d highly recommend this restaurant. However, the one downside was a strong sewage smell when entering the facility, which a business associate recalled experiencing during a visit back in 2018 as well. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved, but overall, the dining experience was excellent.
3.5/5 blackened chicken taco salad - greens were not that fresh, flavour was okay, decent amount of chicken. 4/5 chicken club sandwich - flavour was okay, portion was good, but the chicken was a bit dry. Server was attentive but a bit slow. Feels like they were a bit understaffed during lunch hour.
I try to come here at least once every other month. Food is super delicious, regardless of what you get. Portion sizes are generous. I highly recommend the poutine as a shared appetizer! Service was exceptionally attentive and pleasant. I love the atmosphere of the place, both barside and dining room. Can't feel guilty about eating out when so many aspects of Borealis are beneficial to the local economy and environment!
Amazing food
This used to be a great local spot, but the last few times I have been the menu has become very overpriced and limited. A lot of the dishes I liked have been removed, and every time I have tried something new I am sadly disappointed with the food. Service is still really good so I hope they re-visit the menu and pricing strategy soon.
Very enjoyable ambience and service. Pricing feels fair for the quality, and there were plenty of intriguing vegetarian options to chose from. Seasonings and garnishes could stand to be amped up a little in my opinion but, overall, I was more than satisfied.
Had the Tomahawk short ribs. It s tender but pretty bland. Was expecting it to be better considering it is on the pricier end. The service is excellent at this place. Overall, not sure if I will be back.
Love that the menu is adapting often and makes the effort to have locally sourced and seasonal items. Have gone there at-least 4 times, both during the cool months and warm so have used the patio too when possible. Lovely atmosphere and knowledgeable staff and have always had a great time there!
Great place for dinner or plan a special event. Food was amazing!!
Great atmosphere and the food was awesome!!
NOT THE PLACE TO EAT AS A VEGETARIAN OR VEGEN!!!!!!!!! Definitely a Meat eaters haven,, not so much vegetarian leaning.. I ordered the MUSHROOM RIGATONI price point $22 although very good was more closely proportional to an appetizer then a main course .. not even close to size and appeal of the meat entrées ordered by others in my party ..For anyone vegan or vegetarian options do not meet the standards of other locally based restaurants not a place that I m rushing back to anytime soon!!
I went to Borealis to have dinner and to reconnect with friends I had not seen in four or five years. The food was very good but the staff and service were very, very good. Given my age and reliance on hearing aids, the ambient noise level was higher than I would have preferred but all-in-all a very positive experience. Thanks for an excellent time.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch and were able to converse in a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere.
Beef burger was dry, Steak was undercooked and chicken burger did not stay together. Quality seems to be dropping from the past. Fans were on too high and it took 10 minutes for someone to find controls. Didnt offer to relocate to different room.
2nd time at this location and again the service was not the best. Had to wait over 30 minutes for the food. Love the mushroom rigatoni but we will not be back.
Always have a great experience at Borealis. Great food and service
Great tasting food, well prepared with fresh ingredients
Well today while in Guelph we decided stop on see what the restaurant was about. Was greeted with the do you have a reservation! Fully understand that. While the hostess was off prepping a table..I wandered into the bar. It was empty! Asked we could get a table there and was rudely told..My table is being cleaned and to basically wait! FOLLOWED by I needed to wait! Now there was no one waiting ! Asked about the empty tables and was directed to sit at the bar! Honestly with empty tables why? NO RESERVED SIGNS I travel alot and never have I had anyone use a rude tone!
Nice place , clean and friendly atmosphere. At the time of our visit (group of 6 adults and 1 kid) there was not a lot of people, so we really enjoyed the calm.
Everything is local!! I love it. The menu clearly describes how far away the ingredients come from. Its pretty cool. Its a must try if you are in the area.
We came here for Thanksgiving dinner, the food was good, as well as the service. Would come back again! My only complaint is there was an odd odor to the restaurant which I couldnt put my finger on!
Great local food. Great service. Reasonable prices.
The food is very fresh and has a lot of flavour
Great food, super professional service (Tamara) not a long wait.
Pleasantly suprised by how tasty and fresh the food is...
Great food and great service but we were sat in a huge booth meant for 6 people which made it a bit awkward for date night
What an evening Dog patio party the first time we took our MJ to a restaurant we didnt expect for her to be treated with kindness more bars and grills should have an area open for pets too.
Had lunch at Borealis yesterday. Charlotte was our server and was amazing. Our meals were deliscious and we are planning to make this our go to place for meeting up with our Highschool Friends. Would highly recommend. 5 Stars ***** Louise DeVries Parking: Easy to find a parking spot.
We held a small lunch reception here for family and friends. We chose a 3 course group menu for our guests. Kaleigh was always responsive and answered all our questions leading up to the event. Amazing service and food.
Our server was lovely and checked on us often. Their fried chicken sandwich is out of this world. The chicken is so tender and the breading is crunchy and delicious. I like how their menu has some standard fare with interesting twists such as the Wild Boar Poutine. Its a great place for a date or to meet up with some friends.
Overall, it was a nice place for a nice meal.
Good local food ( Guelph). Big dish.
Back to edit my review from last year. For some reason the food this time around was not great. I ordered the feature soup and I felt like I was eating canned tomato sauce. Our server (Tamara) was great and took care of it for us! She was amazing overall and the service is still great. The turkey burger was seriously very bad. The Pattie was salty and dry and the bun was stale. I felt bad complaining a second time but I do recommend you steer clear of this dish. My girls had the chicken fingers again and they wouldnt eat them this time (overcooked) although loved them the first visit a year ago! My husband got the feature which was a bison burger and he did enjoy his! Skeptical about returning now. Not sure if it was an off evening?
Had a work lunch there and would definitely recommend. I asked for modifications to make a diah vegan and they happily complied. Great atmosphere and friendly team.
Excellent repair work on the water heater thank you
It was a nice relaxed easy steak house. With plenty of parking. Cost friendly. The service was great.
A lovely place. I found the food a bit salty for my taste. The tortillas were amazing.
This is a frequent spot of my husband and I s because we live nearby. Always have had a good experience and love the food.
I love their meals it s a real food very healthy! Lots of flavour !
I really appreciate the service here. We had a large table of maybe 10 or more and we all paid separately, and the service was still above and beyond
Great service from Tamara and food was excellent. The smoked pork chop was the best chop I ve had in a long time and the fish (pickerel) and chips were terrific. A little noisy on the patio from road traffic.
The homemade ice tea was amazing. I had the beef dip and it was good. We were camping not too far and stumbled upon this restaurant. Definitely well recommended
Great spot for locally sourced food and drink.
Amazing food. Was delicious. All of us got a different dinner and they were all amazing. The staff were quick, very pleasant . Food was cooked the way it should. I recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and they support Pride
Fast friendly service. Relaxed atmosphere.
First time in Ontario and I wanted to sample the local cuisine. Chose the seared trout, and what can I say? Ill be dreaming about that dish until my next trip out this way. The whole thing was so well balanced and really played up that amazing trout. So fresh and light. The servings were the perfect size, and well priced. The staff was just as good as the food. Friendly, good at reading customers, and dealt with an error with someone elses meal with sincere apologies and genuine willingness to make it right. This place is phenomenal. An instant area favourite for me. Edit: I definitely dreamed about that trout. Staying in Burlington (not quite a year from when I left this initial review), so I took the opportunity to drive here to indulge. And Im pretty sure I had the same server. The food was even better than I remembered. The service was flawless. This is by far my favourite place on the planet. Really the highlight of my trip!
Although the motto here is obsessively local, as out-of-towners travelling through for the weekend, we were tremendously impressed. Service: check Food: checkity check Atmosphere: better check your self Trust your server, as we did: get. the. fried. chicken. (portions are large, one piece is enough)
My dad is a very picky eater, and he liked it there.
One of my new favourites. The food was beyond my expectations. And the staff made us feel welcomed.
Great food
Honestly horrible. We came here for their mothers day brunch. First of all, the a la carte brunch ended at 2pm and the chef inspired dinner didnt start till 4pm. We had a reso at 2:45pm. Our menu options were limited, and the food was horrible as well as ridiculously expensive!! Staff was nice, thats our positive experience. I will not be going back to this restaurant. Heads up, their steak and eggs is shaved roast beef and when you ask for steak and eggs and pay over $30 for the plate you expect a steak, not shaved roast beef?? Terrible!
My family and I came in for Mother s day brunch and it was exactly what I needed. We come to Borealis often but have never been around for brunch. I had the egg tart and my husband had the roast strip loin and eggs. Everything was delicious, My favourite part was the make your own Mom-mosa. I ve never had a watermelon mimosa before and now I want more! We will be back next year. Kid-friendliness: Bringing a toddler to a restaurant can be difficult at times but our server Tamara was amazing and helped everything go smoothly!
Food was excellent - tacos - and our waitress Tamara was perfect - friendly, professional and very funny! Definitely worth the stop onour waybackto Toronto.
Met some coworkers from out of town for dinner. We sat in the bar area and it was really loud, the acoustic is not very good on that side. The service was excellent and the food was OK. I had the rigatoni and added a chicken breast to it. It was very bland. My dinning companions had the striploin and chicken supreme and seemed to enjoy it. Would definitely either sit on the patio or dinning room area next time.
Not bad, not great. Kale caesar salad side is bland and lacking, but parm fries were good. Lunch flatbread was skimpy on ingredients (is that bacon?), and drink prices on high end of scale. Service however was very good.
Great ambience. Private room for 20. Food
Edited to bring artention to the continued lack of service If you can find someone to give you a seat, the food is still good. The last three times I was there, we had to walk into the restaurant to get a seat. we were waiting at the bar until someone came. The suggestion is to just walk in and ask for a seat. Unfortunately, this seems like a sign that the service is going downhill. This was demonstrated by the empty parking lot and three other groups in the restaurant This place was far better in the past. Overall, its worth a visit. The food is still pretty good. However, we wont be back after this
Love the food as its always delicious, and if you are a lover of Antojitos then you must try theirs!! Great place, excellent food and great drinks!! Cheers!
Borealis is my favourite place to go on the weekend on a Wednesday evening. I always recommended the friends and family members.
Our server Charlotte was great! She was friendly, professional and made us feel special regarding our upcoming wedding. Would definitely recommend and we will be back for sure.
While a bit overpriced for what you get, this is a decent little staple of Guelph. Local food of course and always good service. The non-alcoholic cocktails are decent if youre into that.
This is our favorite spot to hit up on date night. The fish s are AMAZING... I actually dream about them. They were off the menu for a LONG time but they are backkkkkk . Shout out to Tamera - the Pro multi Tasker , fast , friendly and kind
Was there today for my mom s 86th birthday lunch and with 12 people we had absolutely no complaints whatsoever. As a surprise, we ended up in the private room and it was perfect. It was beautiful when the restaurant clapped after happy birthday was sung. Rhianna did an amazing job keeping us with drink in hand and great food to be enjoyed. Kudos to the kitchen since we did have a couple of allergy orders and you nailed it! I highly recommend this place for everything from the great atmosphere, the staff, the drinks and food, all worthy of five From my family to the Borealis Grille & Bar family, thank you for making us feel special and making my moms day special Dietary restrictions: Egg allergy and Rhianna double checked with me numerous times
Food was delicious! We shared the fish tacos, nachos and mushroom pesto flatbread. Service was fantastic. Great little spot.
Always a great stop for dinner . Fish tacos were superb. Food
Good was great and staff excellent. Vegetarian options: Good selection on the menu. Food : 5/5 |
Great food and reasonable prices
Love our visits
My husband and I spent our first Valentines Day here as a married couple and I have to praise Jessica for being the best waitress ever! Not only for the efficient service but for her big, bright personality. She checked in often without being overbearing. She she anticipated our needs and had great recommendations. I usually skip dessert but she sold us on the crème brûlée. My steak was a little less cooked that Id like and she quickly handled it and brought it back with extra veggies. The service was reminiscent of great service in pre-covid days. I was blown away and genuinely want to return even though we have a borealis in Guelph and Ill be sure to ask for Jessicas section if she is working. What an asset to the service industry! We had one of our best valentines day meals ever and our pre wedding ones even included a few posh places in Jasper. The food was amazing, Jessica made our night though as as you can see from my past reviews, I typically focus on only the quality of the food. These were on par.
I really like this place. I ve been there several times and I ve ordered the same thing almost every time: the quinoa arugula salad. Anything that has arugula and feta cheese has my heart. Their burgers are also very tasty. Fresh fresh fresh.
Great food. Server really made our evening with her bad jokes. :)
Dined here for the first time with a cousin I hadnt seen in years. We enjoyed our meals, our service was friendly and attentive, the restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Recently visited the Guelph location for a retirement party and our sever Tamara was outstanding. We had a relatively large group yet she managed to remember each individuals name and made sure nobody was neglected. I highly recommend this restaurant for gatherings.
Work event, so limited menu. Did enjoy the choices. Had been to Kitchener location pre COVID so didnt know what to expect. Food : 4/5
Try the burgers and the chicken. Great for kids. Kid-friendliness: Kids meals are a good value. Our server was very friendly with our kids. Our kids love the colouring contest. Food : 5/5 |
Went here the other day for dinner service and was served by Fiona who was attentive, friendly, and lovely to engage with. She made sure to check on our table several times to ensure that our needs were being met. I will most definitely be returning :)
Delicious food, sourced locally. The food is very flavourful and fresh. Excellent service providing you with great recommendations and regular check-ins throughout your stay. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Will be coming back for sure. Have already started recommending to family and friends.
Do not order the Kale Caesar Salad. Leaves with long stems difficult to eat( couple yellow that should not have been there) and Caesar dressing and dry, no taste croutons. No bacon, hardly any cheese. Nasty!
Its been a little bit since Ive been to Borealis. I dont know why it took me so long to head back there. My dining experience is always a great one. the seasonal menu options are great. and the service is always on point. This time I sat on the patio. It was great! Cant wait to return!
Great
Normally have a good experience at borealis had the lamb with risotto lamb was horrible risotto wasn t even risotto. I don t know what it was totally flavourless I had to stop eating after a few bites.
This was my 3rd time at Borealis and it has definitely become one of my favourite spots. We had Tat as our server, she was very knowledgeable and super helpful and gave us great service for our birthday lunch! I highly recommend the buttermilk fried chicken meal. We also got duck satay and field of mushrooms which were both incredible. Excited for my next visit to try some new items.
This was a very special occasion - our sons and his new wifes wedding dinner for 10. The food was delicious and Brett was an amazing and attentive server. Were not from Guelph so could only go on what we saw online. They didnt disappoint! Would recommend Borealis to anyone who will be in the neighbourhood. Enjoy!
Waitress seemed to forget about us. Asked Bartender for refreshments. Laid menus as accustomed and returned 29 mins later. Decided not to order further. Terrible service.
Me and my husband have been coming here for years and never have had any complaints. The food is always good and the prices are reasonable compared to everywhere else. The fried chicken here is also the best in town.
We went for date night on Wednesday and it was delicious Our waitress was very attentive and super friendly Food
Really great restaurant. Went with a large group for work and the service was great. The waitress was kind and attentive. Accessible for people in wheelchairs or walkers. Lots of room to move around. Portions are enormous and the prices are very reasonable. Overall great experience. Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of room to navigate and store the chair if you wanted to either transfer into a chair or even to roll the chair up to the table.
Very pleasant atmosphere. Good service
We came for dinner after a long day of travel and were so happy with our experience. Our server was wonderful - responsive, helpful, and generally great at her job. The kale salad was good, if a little basic, and the duck skewers were perfect, tender with a little char. My husband loved his sandwich and raved about the fries. The strawberry basil lemonade was refreshing and had lots of fruit. Well definitely stop back if we want to eat out in Guelph!
Very nice place, and the patio is pet friendly. I will definitely be going back.
I went to meet a couple friends for drinks, we ended up having a snack as well. We chose the duck satay. It was excellent! I will look forward to returning to try other things on the menu.
Great food. Locally sourced. Good service. A little pricey but you do get what you pay for; fair portions of outstanding food.
Met my needs. Chili special was a little mild but hot sauce was offered. No caps or expresso. Update: had the fish tacos in July 2023. Very tasty along with the kale Caesar. Of particular interest was that they had dealcoholized beer on the menu. Wish more places did that.
July 24, 2023 at 6:30pm. I ordered the lamb and was highly disappointed. The lamb was mostly fat and unseasoned. The risotto was hard and dry. The kale mix was the only thing I enjoyed. The waitress apologized and said the chef said they dont control the cut of the keat. She offered a free dessert to compensate for the reck of lamb! Taking that plate off my bill would have been a better offer. My son enjoyed his fish and chips though and my guest enjoyed her veggie tacos.
Exceptional service! Nachos were the best Ive ever had, and Carmel sauce that Ill dream about
Borealis has a great atmosphere, fantastic staff, and delicious local food. We love sharing a meal on the patio when the weather allows. Vegetarian options: Borealis has ample vegetarian options to choose from.
I want to thank Kaleigh, manager of Borealis Grill in Guelph and her staff for an excellent dining experience. My best friends treated me to lunch last Friday. The service was excellent, we were seated promptly and the manager, Kaleigh came to our table to introduce herself. Our server, Taz took good care of us. Our meals were delicious. Two of us had the pesto chicken sandwich. The chicken breast was tender and juicy, the procuito & pesto added to the flavour. The fries were perfectly done. The others had the Great Lakes Fish & Chips. They said they were great, not greasy and the pickerel was flavourful, not dry. It was an important get together for us. The service was attentive, never rushed. Thanks so much. We will definitely return.
Service was wonderful, food I had higher expectations.
Absolutely amazing burger and kale caesar. Fast friendly service, great food and atmosphere. Forgot to take photo as I dove into this delicious food immediately!!
Tasty fresh food, and they are dog friendly too on the patio!
Had a wonderful and quick dinner here. Service was very fast, the outdoor area was nice, and the food was (mostly) delicious. For my drink, I had a blueberry lemonade (one of the daily specials), which was great and refreshing. For my dinner, I had the mussel linguini which was incredible. And for dessert, I had the smores thing which... left a lot to be desired. As much as I disliked the smores dessert, the rest of my time there was incredible, service was speedy, and the fact that its a carbon neutral restaurant is nice. Overall, definitely recommend, just skip the dessert.
Vegetarian options: Many op Dietary restrictions: Very costomizble Parking: 30 spots Kid-friendliness: Kids competition to win a free meal Kids menu Colouring sheet Free gift Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of wheel chair parking
Enjoyed the trout and duck confit
Parking: Plenty free parking Food
It was great to see people out on a Wednesday, and it was busy. Staff were doing their best. It was my husbands birthday. I was able to adjust our table number and keep our time. Staff replied promptly. Always enjoy the food.
Missed the mark. Service not great. Two dinners made with 0 love. Waited over 20 minutes for drinks. Plates never cleared. Just meh. Paid our bill and all appetizer and entree plates were still on table. Not sure we would return. On a positive note, one of our party liked the burger.
Went in for date night on Wednesday. Reasonable prices with interesting options for an app, meals, and desserts. The service was lacking. Had to wait 15-20 minutes sometimes between servers coming to the table to check on us. Needed refill on drinks multiple and didnt want to be rude and flag someone down. The meals were OK, fried chicken and trout. They were bland but edible. The apple crumble was tasty, however the chocolate torte was supposed to have whipped cream which apparently they ran out of, understandable, but not even an offer to put a scoop of vanilla ice cream or something in lieu of the whipped cream. Not a huge deal, but if you order a dish that is meant to come a certain way, and you acknowledge the restaurant ran out of an ingredient, you could attempt to make the dish whole. The lacking service was the larger issue for sure. Also were sat by the entranceway in a seemingly non-busy restaurant.
Vegetarian options: There is a small amount of vegetarian options but it can be extended for more variety. Food
My family had dinner recently and to my surprise, were seated in the wine room. Great private space for our group of 11! We ordered a variety of appies and mains and we were all very happy with our choices. I had the fior de latte plus beef tenderloin...excellent! It was a 1st time experience for most us and it wont be our last! Portions were substantial too! Our server, Elizabeth was very pleasant and served us well! It was also date night Wednesday...she was quite busy! She handled everything in her stride with a great personality!
Service was good, food took a while to come out but it was good , well cooked and seasoned.
Was my first time there. Loved it Food
The fried trout sandwich special was delicious, great service too
Great meal with great service! Will be back
This is one of those places that you really cant go wrong with. All the food in options are sourced locally in Ontario, the supporting farmers and growers in our region. The tasting the flavour of this organization is phenomenal, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the ambiance was wonderful
Great food and good local ingredients. Kid-friendliness: Good options for kids Food : 5/5 |
Fantastic experience. It was always something that I wanted to try so invited a few friends in town. Service was great and the staff was helpful.
Atmosphere is great, and the food you get is delicious. Communication between kitchen and waitstaff is a mess. My ordered drink didn t get into the system. An item labelled gf the waitress said had gluten, then gf, once I d decided what else to try. So I ordered the first item and it came on a regular bun and they were out of gf buns. Kids meals are advertised to come with dessert which wasn t offered or delivered. My partner and kids food was really nice, server was friendly and I enjoyed my salad. Dietary restrictions: Don t trust dietary restrictions will be taken care of even if on the menu.
The food was amazing! Right from when I stepped into the restaurant, I was welcomed with a smile. The service was excellent and our waitress was very attentive! Every time I have come to Borealis, I have been impressed! Highly recommended! Vegetarian options: Excellent chickpea burger!
Chicken salad had almost NO chicken. I have never ever had such a tiny portion of chicken . Same with my husbands order tiny portion chicken. Will never return.
It was a nice Tuesday dinner, late. Many spots available. Cosy place, friendly waitresses. The food was tasty. Portions are big. Duck confit was accompanied with assorted veggies and apple pure. Fish and chips: crispy and fresh. Tacos are available for the special price on Tuesday, fish is must try. Finally soup of the day: was surprised with a good flavour of creamy corn soup. Recommend to visit and dine in!
It is okay.
The blackened chicken taco salad was quite disappointing. The chicken was cold, small, and lacking. With a weird crushed dorito topping. Cold chicken, lettuce, and doritos for 20 dollars? Doesn t seem worth it to me!
The turkey burger was delicious!
Like many of the other reviews, I found the food pretty bland. The garden salad was quite good but overall both mains werent well seasoned. The ingredients appear to be good quality, and presentation was nice. However, Id much prefer a tasty meal over a pretty one. The atmosphere and lighting felt very sterile, more like a classic roadside diner. I wouldnt come back.
Its a nice place with good healthy local food. Ive been a number of times and tried a few different menu items and have always been impressed. Reasonable prices too. Highly recommend
Some places promote eating local and the food is typical fare. We are picky. Being a pretty experienced home cook myself with a pretty developed palate, that enjoys ethnic food from around the globe, we stay away from the chain restaurants (Which open packets to cook). We also appreciate truly healthy food. It feels good to eat something that doesnt make you feel regret or sluggish and bloated hours later. Borealis offers out of the ordinary menu items, using local pickeral or elk for tacos, Quinoa for stir fries, bison for meatloaf. The BEST wings we have ever had - meaty and crispy, with the right amount of sauce... or salt and pepper wings. Nachos that offer up TASTE AND healthy - non GMO corn and asparagus chips, cheese, black beans and lentils. They take the ordinary and make it extraordinary. Weeknights are best. Weekends a little too high traffic for us. Menu switches with seasons. Priced right, and you feel fantastic afterwards... even hours later.
Great food sourced from local farms. Fantastic service!
Nice little place, good service.
Tamara is a very good waitress! She is very nice, friendly and helpful . Vegetarian options: The chicken pea burger was very tasty Food : 5/5 |
Fantastic food! Locally sourced and made in-house. Thanks Tamara for your excellent service.
Tamara was our server and she was amazing!!! Anticipated our needs well... brought more tartar sauce for my fish before my ramekin was empty. Food was excellent!!! Thanks for a wonderful experience.
We were celebrating with family and friends our son s confirmation in their private room. The food was great and the attention was above and beyond. Fully recommended.
Meh. It was okay though a bit disappointing. Chicken sandwich was too much bun, not enough chicken. Smoked pork chop was massive though rather dry and overcooked. Kale Ceasar salad had 3 croutons and maybe 4 pieces of bacon, salad was a tiny tiny serving and had to ask for extra dressing. Server was nice.
Family outing with great food and service
I have been going to the Guelph location monthly for a long time and it has always been top notch. I just received an email for your 15-year celebration, and Im sorry l will not be able to attend. But will be seeing you before Christmas. You should be very proud of being tge best restaurant in Guelph. Keep doing what you are doing.
Service was great! Dinner menu was not alot to choose from..Food was good.
Borealis Bar and Grill in Guelph offers fantastic service and delicious food. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the menu features a great variety of well-prepared dishes. A top choice for a satisfying dining experience in Guelph.
Super friendly staff and very fast kitchen. Food is tasty fresh and well present. Prices are okay for portion. Bar has TVs to catch the game. Private room available for rental. Party rental also available. Free WiFi. Clean washrooms and facilities. Parking can get tight. The burger was a little burnt.
Great food and great portions.
Out of the blue stop in and very good food. Had to wait just a bit for Seating
Lovely steak Frits with amazing fries. I had the duck confit and the duck was amazing. I loved this meal. Flatbread with bacon is amazing.
Great service. Friendly staff. We were a large group and they accommodated us very well. Food was fresh and delicious.
