The food was excellent. The price was also excellent. Taking 1 hour to receive our order was a tad long. With only 6 other diners in the restaurant, we were surprised at the delay. We were very hungry by the time our dinner arrived. But, there is no denying it was superb. Our congratulations to the chef on 4 excellent meals.

Love Creekside! Tried it for the first time in 2023 and have been there countless times. The chicken souvlaki is my favorite but ask for an extra side of rice. The amount of rice you get is not proportional to the rest of the chicken/ potato. Usually this would make me knock it down from 5 stars but its just so tasty I still give it 5. Their fries are delicious as well as the Greek salad and chicken wrap!

We ordered takeout for my 11yr old, friend and us last night. Plain cheeseburger with absolutely nothing on it, box even had no written on it. Onions tomato lettuce etc all on it, my daughter would not eat it, so much onion and that s all you could taste. Her friend cheeseburger was to have no mayo and of course had mayo on it. Red pepper feta dip which we ve had many times was really runny. Called about getting new cheeseburgers for the 11yr old kids. The owner shockingly said no! We were stunned. On top of that he was too much of a weasel to even get on the phone, made the waitress tell us, we asked to talk to him but he said no. this poor girl felt terrible and nothing she could do obviously. She was lovely!!!! It s brutal that a small business owner could care less that they screwed up and would not fix their mistakes. We have gotten takeout from this restaurant before and know it changed owners but just couldn t believe they wouldn t make 2 new cheeseburgers for the kids. Brutal Brutal Brutal and soooo rude We will never order or go too creekside ever again.

I dined at the Creekside Kitchen last night with my family. In the dead of winter, the side vegetables were simply outstanding, a fantastic colourful mix. Delicious and well prepared. Vegetarian options: Spanokopita dinner.

Great little place to order takeout from or to dine-in. The food is always served hot and is absolutely delicious. Pricing is mid (similar to the big restaurant chains) but the quality and portions are high-value. The staff is super friendly and youll never feel rushed when dining in. If youre ever in the Kortright Downeys area or just want to add another takeout option to your list - definitely try Creekside Kitchen!

Creekside offers a nice condensed breakfast menu for the weekends. Combined with the small mom and pop feel makes it a great place for your family to go for breakfast. Great tasting food with generous portion sizes, makes you question if your eyes appetite was bigger than your stomach...Prices are fair compared to other similar places as well to meet the needs of the business and to be fair to their employees. The staff not to mention have great costumer service! I definitely recommend the eggs benedict or blueberry pancakes.

Waiter was lovely, food was good but not like phenomenal. Not a lot of vegetarian options, and probably no vegan options. The bruschetta with feta was excellent and the spanikopita plate was fine, I really enjoyed the potatoes. Vegetarian options: Not many choices. Only 1 main, the spanikopita plate, unless you want to do something like a pasta with no chicken.

Tried the Prime Rib Burger which came with a side of fries. Atmosphere and service were great. Unfortunately my burger tasted like a salty piece of rubber having very little taste seemed like it was a pre-made frozen product. The fries were great though

Tucked in a small corner we almost missed it. Just a small but absolutely fantastic place to eat. We went for dinner here. The place is beautiful inside and very clean. Took my granddaughter here for dinner. She loved the calamari and chicken wings. Prices are fair and staff was pleasant. I had the salmon that smelled burnt and tasted the same. I visited Creekside Kitchen with my daughter. The atmosphere impressed us immediately. It felt like we were stepping out of the maddening world into a warm and cozy sanctuary! Lovely atmosphere. We were both craving French onion soup and salad and both were delicious. The soup was also served with garlic bread. They had a very good menu, and we are looking forward to returning for lunch or dinner soon.

Amazing!!!! Delicious! Service terrific! Seating with space between tables. I ordered the lamb souvlaki with homemade tzatziki in a real glass bowl, it came with rice pilaf, real Greek potato, and Greek salad. Spouse had a clubhouse with fries. The fries were a 9/10! Highly recommend this restaurant it was a 10/10 in a city where we are unfamiliar with the restaurants. Cannot wait to go back!!!!

So disappointed in dinner and the owners total unwillingness to even speak with us about our concerns! This was our second visit. We had returned because our first visit was a complete delight. We had the same wonderful server, the decor and ambiance was pleasant, and everything all six of us ate thr first visit was delicious, with nice portions, and affordable prices. We asked the server to let the owner and chef know how pleased we were with everything about our first experience and assured her we would be back. Had tonight been our first time there, we would not have returned. I ordered the rib eye special. The cut was thin and over a third of it was inedible gristle! Our friend ordered the other special: haddock with a skewer of shrimp. The haddock was dry and tough. The shrimp bland. He loves fish and shrimp but couldnt finish either. Then we ordered dessert. He is deathly allergic to cinnamon, so he asked whether the cheesecakes on offer had cinnamon or not. The server checked, but they didnt know. To be safe, he ordered vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce. The ice cream had crystallized ice in it. He pushed it aside unfinished when he put a spoonful into his mouth and found a hard chunk and at first thought it was a someones tooth! Closer inspection revealed what appeared to be the tip off the caramel sauce applicator. At that point, we asked the server if we could please speak with the owner to alert him to our concerns with tonights meal as we were so surprised at the very different experience with the food this time. The owner refused to come out and speak with us! That was the most disappointing part of the whole experience! While my husband was willing to try again, I am not so sure I would return to a business who thinks so little of his customers that he refuses to speak with them, even when we only wished to provide constructive comments. The only saving grace of the whole experience was our angel of a server. I hope the owner appreciates her much more than he does his customers!

Creekside Kitchen is a cozy restaurant tucked away in the suburbs of Southern Guelph. If youre looking for casual Greek based dining, then look no further than Creekside. Lunch typically attracts an older crowd, but it normally doesnt get too busy. There is a wide selection of food, but I particularly enjoy their delicious selection of dips.

Very small, cozy restaurant with amazing food and magnificent desserts. Service is amazing, friendly. Meals are priced average compared to other similar restaurants. The only thing I would change, since it is to small and they keep their bathrooms very clean, sometimes you can smell that bathroom dehodorizer while youre eating, which is not a pretty thing. All in all 5 stars for fabulous good, friendly service, good prices. I would recommend making a reservation.

We arrived at 11:40am, ordered and food didnt arrive until 12:25pm COLD. It was busy understandably, but for waiting this long the food shouldnt have been sitting for probably more than 10 mins, the shrimp and chicken were ice cold, the steak was ordered medium rare and arrived well done, and burger cold. I explained politely to the waitress who had a complete melt down and made a massive scene and YELLED at us that we ordered too much food? It was just one salad with sides of steak, shrimp, and chicken, as well as a burger and fries. Walked out, will never return ever... shame because when the older asian lady is working, she runs a tight ship. The younger tall girl should simply be fired asap as weve never been this offended as customers before. Will be spreading the word to avoid.

This place is incredible! Quality of food is top self, chef is just awesome! Its a one man show for customer service, so if they improved on that I would have given 5 stars. Not a fancy place but thats what I like about it. EDIT: Only was a good experience with the asian waitress. The younger girl is absolutely awful and doesnt know what customer service means. She cant handle this restaurant on her own plain and simple. Shame because the chef is awesome but if the food arrives ice cold it makes no difference. Then the waitress complains that she has to pay for it out of her own pocket like its OUR fault?? Blamed us... wouldnt even listen, pathetic front line staff.

I cant say enough about this restaurant. Amazing food and fantastic staff. I have been here many times and never had any issues. Always very pleasant until today when the poor waitress was working her tail off as she always does and came across two customers who were completely out of line. I was in the restaurant MJ and LAURA B when you complained about your food. I heard the waitress try to rectify the problem but you wouldnt give her the time of day. Shame on you both for your exaggerated review. I personally enjoyed my lunch and the friendly service she provided. Thank you Nicole for another great dining experience

MJ / Laura-1 star reviews related to horrible customer service seem to follow the both of you- maybe you re the problem? Perhaps try delivery or eating in? I ve visited this wonderful restaurant many times and always make a point when visiting Guelph to stop in. The food and service has always been prompt and extremely welcoming. During our most recent visit, our waitress (Tall blonde girl- believe her name to be Nicole?) was exceptional. Her welcoming, extremely friendly demeanour and willingness to make us feel at home was unlike any service we ve received elsewhere. One of our meals wasn t to our exact dietary preference but we were just going to eat the meal anyway (a common situation with strict dietary needs). Our waitress sensed our hesitation or that something wasn t right with the meal. She immediately jumped to action. She offered to have the kitchen correct the meal to our preference and even offered us an appetizer as we waited and for the inconvenience. We were just appreciative for her attentiveness and willingness to make sure we were completely satisfied, let alone going above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. This, all the while ensuring her other tables in the restaurant were just as well taken care of (which could be seen by the many smiling faces through out the restaurant). It was clear to us that our waitress was a professional in the hospitality industry and this was certainly not her first or only hospitality role. We were so grateful for the time and attention. It is because of this first class service, I can t wait to visit Creekside again and will always recommend Creekside! Thanks so much to our superb waitress (Nicole?) :)

THE HIDDEN GEM, located in a strip plaza. Nothing can beat this place when it comes to the quality of the dishes! I ordered the top sirloin and it was cooked to perfection and filled with flavors. They have a great selection and the casual dining atmosphere made me feel at home. I would definitely say that this is one of the best restaurants when it comes to service! Staff were extremely friendly as well. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great place to eat and enjoy!

We ordered from Creekside on Doordash tonight. What a pleasant surprise! We both got a souvlaki dinner (one chicken, one lamb) and both were perfect, even after being packed up and driven to us. Speaking for the chicken, it was juicy and very well seasoned. The potatoes were tender and flavourful. Both dinners came with generously sized side salads, very fresh and crunchy with lots of vegetables. They also came with tzatziki and a lemon wedge to amp up the flavour to your liking. It was an unexpected find; probably our best takeout meal since moving to Guelph a few months ago.

This is my favourite restaurant. Its food is delicious, good value for the price & the prices are very reasonable. Today i had the pan seared tilapia with rice & veg truly a wonderful dish! The waitress is wonderful, she seems to know just when to come around. I would give it 10 stars if I could!

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit(I had been there before, but my parents and sister had not) to Creekside as per usual..We were there for a special occasion the night of our visit..A huge variety of items on the menu, as well as 3 or 4 specials being offered that night..Our server, Sharla, is certainly one of the very best around at her job, got the ball rolling on a terrific experience right from the start, which, only got better as the night progressed.. The menu, with subtle hints of Greek Cuisine, made deciding very difficult. Our table started with a 3-Dip platter, and calamari. Came to the table served hot, and were dee-lish. Our choices for dinner were, Seafood Linguini, Stuffed Chicken, Pesto Penne, and the Haddock Special..It became very apparent, they have a very talented kitchen staff preparing the dinners for their diners as everything we had was nothing short of sensational..To sum up, a visit to Creekside Kitchen should be at the top of your list next time you are dining out for dinner, or for lunch. Ive had lunch there many times as well, and the same can be said for it, the only difference was our servers name, Nicole(who is so likeable and professional). Its a MUST try..

Never disappoints, always consistently good. Lovely atmosphere, small and cozy.

When we arrived we were the second people in line. There was no acknowledgement, no sign saying please wait to be seated, we were just about to walk out when after about 10 minutes we were sat. We ordered breakfast. The food was really good but the service was severely lacking. Lacking is a understatement. We were not given any spoons to stir our coffee. Our coffee was never topped up again. When we received our food the server never came back. After we had finished we left our plates at the end of the table and waited another 10 minutes just for them to come back and take our plates. At this time I asked for the bill. The service was terrible. The food was good. I m never coming back.

Food is good, the service is catastrophic. Thirty minutes for a refill on a coffee after asking three times. One hour for a simple pancake breakfast. Waitress was rude and dismissive when asked simple questions about food and coffee, restaurant wasnt busy.

Ive eaten here more than 6 times and have never been disappointed in the food. Everything Ive tried has been delicious, from the Friday fish and chips to the pan-fried squid in balsamic reduction. The menu is traditional with a delicate Greek flair that works well for the 40+ set. The only downside is the uncomfortable chairs and tables and proximity of other guests, so make a reservation and ask for one of the private booths. A nice place for an evening out or an afternoon coffee and dessert date.

Delicious food! Everything my wife and I got was amazingly delicious! We will be back again and again for sure. Its a very nice quiet place, the atmosphere is a little more fancy than your typical restaurant but still casual enough for a fun date night! :) Its a good idea to reserve a table ahead of time, otherwise you may not get a seat if you just drop in. But totally worth it! The prices are good for the portions of food too! At first glance it seems a little more expensive but when the ate come out and you taste it then youll be happy to pay the price :) Definitely check this place out!

Creekside Kitchen is one of Guelph s best restaurants. They have a terrific variety of well-priced, yet elegant food with perfectly adequate service and a cozy environment. Tucked away in a small strip plaza off Downey and Ptarmigan, well away from the big streets and chain restaurants it is often unheard of by the average Guelphie, however it is well worth the small trip. Living in the neighbourhood I have been many times, and it serves as a lovely place for both a family group or a romantic dinner. The food and service is always consistently good and it is almost always easy to get a table via reservation or walk in. I recommend creekside to anyone looking to try something new!
