I was surprised to see that downtown Guelph had this dining experience. The premise is that you get to watch a 3D projected show as you dine. The classic set menu starts at $130 and there is a vegetarian version as well. The chicken supreme and filet were great entrees but I wish it was bigger portion wise. Food overall was good and the experience made it a fun time out.
This is one in a lifetime experience!! I took my parents and they were amazed. We enjoyed the food and the service was great! It's worth it
Overall decent taste, very creative setup BUT they have 20% minimum tip and charges extra for tea and coffee that came with the dessert which seems a little greedy to me.
Phenomenal!....I always read reviews, and not sure how less than 5 stars for some. Food was incredible, service by Adele was professional and slot on and the overall experience was just amazing. Had a group of 6, all of our first time experiencing la Petit Chef, and not one complaint. Drinks were bang on, and the wine list is perfect. Reviews are great,...but gotta try for yourself. It is fine dining, so you pay for fine dining. We'll definitely be going back.
Food was incredible, watching the petite chef prepare your food was so much fun to watch for all ages. Cute little place, clean, friendly staff, very comfortable. Only thing I was a little disappointed was that coffee and tea were not part of the dessert and you had to pay extra. The charge was a lot for a small cup of coffee. Overall, highly recommend
We absolutely loved this experience both my husband and I. I gave a 4 star for a few reasons. 1) we were not aware that we had to sit at a table with another couple. Was a bit awkward but luckily we got to sit with another amazing couple so it made it an interesting experience for sure. 2) It cost us $390 for 2 people. Gratuity was expected and was 18% which I thought was a bit excessive but I guess I haven't been to a fancy restaurant in a long period of time so I would assume thats a normal percentage. I was a bit shocked when our waiter had mentioned that if we liked we could leave her a tip on the machine even though I had no choice but to pay 18%. Felt bad not leaving her an additional tip but I mean thats what the gratuity was for. Overall it was an awesome experience. Would I go again? No. But this is an experience you really can enjoy once as its one set menu with no options and same performance.
10/10 would recommend!! The food was absolutely amazing and we enjoyed every single course 👌. The service was great and the staff were fantastic. It was our anniversary and they even gave us some complimentary champagne which was such a sweet surprise! I love the unique dinner and a show experience and would love to try it again one day! It's definitely a special occasion place but worth the visit. I would however recommend anyone going to be early as it took us over 15 minutes to find parking!
My girlfriend and I had an incredible evening at Le Petit Chef in Guelph. We were greeted and made to feel welcome right away with excellent service from the bartender May. She was very friendly and sweet and provided us some great cocktails before service. Leanne was also very friendly and professional. We were the only guests during our time slot for dinner. They could have easily canceled our service and asked us to reschedule but instead, they put on a show for us like it was a full house. The show was excellent and entertaining. The food was incredible. Everything was cooked to perfection and had amazing flavors.
The food was very good, service was good the show was ok. However I can not recommend going as an odor permeates the whole building, smells like moldy sweat socks. horrible.
Went for my birthday! Had an awesome time!
The dish was flavorful, with a good balance of textures. The seasoning was spot on, but the portion could be a little bigger. Overall, satisfying and worth trying!
The food was good but the waiter was a bit sassy. She made me feel bad for ordering food but its fine.
The food is really outstanding, We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, highly recommend and would love to comeback
Very nice
A special experience!
Excellent food 5 coarses, video on table between coarses , it was a different experince, great staff , Wheelchair accessibility: None
Amazing staff and excellent service
Parking: Good parking Food
Me and my family came here and loved it. It was a very unique experience, food and service we re amazing.
Amazing food, had the veg option, liked it a lot
The atmosphere service everything was impeccable couldn t be a greater experience Parking: I m not sure as I got delivered
I like the food and the service was also very nice.
Exquisite food! Definitely the highlight of the week! You will not be disappointed!
The food was amazing and delicious. Everyone was welcoming and respectful. Vegetarian options: Various veg options are available. Parking: Spaces are available.
It was lovely food and ambience there. Would love to go back and get some quality food with our family. Would recommend for sure. Vegetarian options: Great options for vegetarian people as well
Vegetarian options: Lots of options available! Food
Food was really amazing and great ambiance . Fantastic Experience. Really loved it.
I have been wanting to try Le Petit Chef since they opened. It was such a fun experience! The food was amazing! Will come back again! Highly recommend! Vegetarian options: Lots of options. Parking: Didn t have an issue
Great indeed!
Such a fun experience ! The food was great and the staff were amazing as well. Would recommend!
Food was amazing. Highly recommended
My bf took me here for our anniversary and he didnt tell me that it was a projected show with dinner. The chicken supreme was my highlight and the creme brulee was a nice final touch. Its a multi course meal with different menus. Service was fast and efficient. Great place for a special occassion.
everything was good and amazing Vegetarian options: Food was amazing and delicious Food : 5/5 |
It was a great experience. The food and the customer service was really commendable. We had a great time there.
Charming waitress and lovely ambiance. Food was excellent but there was too much! We would suggest a choice of soup OR salad and a choice of EITHER chicken or steak. That would mean you could take $30 odd the price. It was v expensive. Chef video was well done and engaging. Also pretty mean to charge $10 for a bday mini piece of cake.
This experience would be good for children, but it s not priced for children. The staff was wonderful, but food was mediocre and it was overpriced. The music was repetitive elevator music. I wouldn t go back.
Amazing!
Fantastic experience great service.
What a joke! Save your money for a proper restaurant.. Asked for filet mignon to be cooked in butter, not seed oil, was told they cant. Asked for filet to be served without pepper sauce, it was served with the sauce.. The bisque was a joke! One shrimp and a piece of calamari. The seafood mustve just ran through it. Simple requests were ignored. Dont recommend and wont go back ever. Dietary restrictions: BS. They didnt respect or respond to dietary requests.
We went to celebrate my daughters 8th birthday with 10 of her closest friends. The staff was AMAZING! So kind and patient, took excellent care of everyone. The portions were very good size. The food was delicious. Highly recommend!
Food was great! Service excellent and Kids loved it . Only one thing bothers me it is a smell of the restaurant. ( Cigarettes) .
Amazingly entertaining and delicious experience, we loved every minute of it. The service was fantastic, wonderful food and la petite chef was such a cute little show to watch
Took my mom for mothers day and it was a lovely experience. The venue was small and intimate which made the dining experience all that much more fun. Our server Adele was fantastic and was very upbeat and positive, in fact all the servers were amazing. Highly recommend for adults and children alike. A very unique experience. Dietary restrictions: They ask about dietary restrictions and will make accomodations as necessary
Very entertaining, very different, very pricey. A place to go to once, just for the experience.
Top shelf treatment!
The family seemed to enjoy their meals, the vegan options, however, left quite a bit to be desired. For a restaurant that advertises as fine dining I was expecting more than tomato sauce on raw pasta. Furthermore the dessert of fruit salad while very pretty looking, was not exactly comparable to creme brule for the rest of the table. Ive made vegan creme brule, its not difficult. Ive had some incredible vegan dishes as very high end restaurants but sadly this wasnt one. The videos were cute, kind of more geared to children than I imagined. I wont be going back or recommending to any vegan friends. Service was great though. Very friendly and attentive. Dietary restrictions: Would not recommend for vegan diets. Parking: Very limited street parking.
A gimmick masquerading as fine dining at fine dining prices. The videos were cute. The food was decent but lukewarm across the board. Cocktails were good. The atmosphere was OK, and could have been more refined given the price. Overall a firm 3 stars; I dont need to go back.
Good Dietary restrictions: Good ha Service : 3/5
Im giving a three star. Parking situation sucked. We went to the 815pm showing. We were stuck waiting for one person at another table to start. The kids were starving we asked for bread. No bread. I alsdd for some wine they took my kids wine glasses away so it couldnt be shared. Would have been nice to have my salt and pepper at the table. The food was ok but i felt the over pricing was more based on the expirience. Then to see the tip on the bill already ok. But then when they hand me the bill they say if you want to add more than that your more than welcome. I thought that was a little extreme. Well like once youve been to vagas youve been to vagas type of night.
Maybe as a novelty. Its cute for sure, but there are several problems conceptually. Place reeks of cigarette You get a caprese ($12), seafood bisque ($14), chicken supreme ($24), filet ($28), creme Brule ($8). No matter which way you spin it is absurdly expensive. You will pay $350+ each, you can go to a fine dining restaurant for that budget for a better product. The food product doesnt stand alone. There is waaaay, and I mean, waaaay too much food. The waitress said nobody ever finishes it. Why so much food? Why can you make it smaller like a tasting menu and lower the price for the novelty. You also eat all night with the same melody on repeat. A French circus kind of beat that doesnt stop, for all two hours. Overall cute, but no way in going again. If you have the comfort available to you, I recommend going with kids. But overall I feel a little duped.
Great experience, but noted by the people at our neighboring table that its not very accessible for wheelchairs. If they needed the restroom thats not happening. Wheelchair accessibility: There is no wheelchair access
When we booked the website never said anything about not being wheelchair accessible. We drove from out of town for this experience and had no idea the restaurant was not accessible. When we got there they didnt have any ramps or any way to getting the people in wheelchairs into the restaurant. None of the staff offered any solutions or offered to assist us with anything. We managed to get the people who use wheelchairs in with some difficulty. After the meal two people from the kitchen came and helped us which we appreciated a lot. The show was fun and the food was pretty good. Do not recommend for anyone who has a difficult time doing stairs or in a wheelchair. Even the washrooms were down a steep set of stairs. It does say on the FAQ that it isnt wheelchair accessible now, but when we booked a couple months ago it didnt say that.
Amazing experience. Staff were great, the show was fun, and the food was amazing. It is a five course meal so come hungry.
My boyfriend surprised me with this restaurant and i was so pleasantly surprised! All the food was delicious, and the show made the entire experience so much more fun. They also gave ample time to eat at your own pace and talk before starting the next dish. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
Show and concept is really neat and kids would like it. Unfortunately all of our steaks were cold and for the price/what you get I wouldn t go again
If I could give no star I would. As someone mentioned the parking conditions are a horrid. By the time we found a spot in the pouring rain, we were there 3 minutes late and they started the video presentation without us. They were about to serve the first dish and brought us to our seats immediately rushing us to get a drink. I m diabetic so we ordered flat as water, they served us bottled water $10 dollars a bottle and was not offered tap water, while everyone one around got tap in a glass carafe. And then we were asked how we would like our steaks . We told them we would like it medium rare. We thought that was settled, in a minute the server came back telling us despite we ordered 3 adults meal online, we were only going to get 1, because I was dining with kids under 12. My older is 13 and is the autism spectrum, and I have told him we were having steak so there is no way I was going to give him chicken fingers. And seriously who serves chicken fingers at a fine dining restaurant. My kids have steak all the time everywhere else. My 6 years old normally eats a variety of seafood as well and we already expressed that we have no allergies and have no dietary restrictions. The food was a total disappointment, for close to $200 per head, experience the food was not even acceptable. And if you tell us that the food was French and therefore served at bad temperature. Then just explain how the crème brûle was just a mushy liquid served under half caramélisé sugar. This is the only place I did not tip, ever, I hope they get the message! I was very disappointed, we had waited so long and this supposed to be our annual pre Christmas dinner. It left us sad and disappointed, should have gone back to medieval times, at least their chicken is served hot and the soup is not water, with one tiny shrimp, claiming to be a seafood bisque!
Set menu is beautifully plated and fresh and delicious . Not to even mention the wonderful and charming chef who was the reason we came who brought my dish to life literally ! Vegetarian options: Full plated option for vegetarians that you select on booking . Also a kids menu with different pricing . Parking: Downtown is handiest but a little busy but we managed a front spot . There are parking lots around though Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu to select
What an adorable, fun and super delicious night! Cant wait to go back <3
Fantastic experience! Food quality is amazing! Service is superb! This was my best date of the year! The story/experience is like no other. The staff is extremely accommodating and will ensure that your experience is nothing less from the 5 stars we experienced. Dietary restrictions: If there are any changes you wish to make to the menu offered, the staff at Le Petit Chef are happy to accommodate. Not only that, but they triple confirm that they have not missed any of your needs.
Amazing food, phenomenal experience overall. Had the vegetarian options and it was one of the best veggie meals Ive ever had. Our server Adele was incredible and accommodating, definitely recommending to everyone! Vegetarian options: Amazing vegetarian options, even the servers were saying some people order those even if they werent vegetarian!
The staff was amazing and the experience was beyond my expectations. It was such a wonderful night out.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the food & service at this venue! It was a truly unique, fun experience that made our anniversary very memorable, and the meal was amazing. Thank you!
This was AMAZING. If your looking for a unique night out - this is it. Great for groups and kids, but still has a very private intimate feel. Stellar service that make you feel like their only guest but best of all was the food. They were even able to accommodate celiacs. Bonus - they have some really imaginative drinks and cocktails. Dietary restrictions: Able to accommodate my gluten-free diet - we just pre-warned them when we booked and they made a modified meal. Kid-friendliness: Several mother and daughter duos at this. They have a lot of really cool kids drinks that really wowed everyone.
My family and I had a wonderful experiences at Guelph Le Petit Chef. The staff are super friendly. The food is AMAZING and the animations are super cute and funny. It was wow from the beginning to the end. I really do think this is a one of a kind experience that we will never forgot. highly recommended.
Wonderful, intimate experience, great interactives and amazing food! Service was phenomenal, LPC was whimsical, and the Creme Brulee is quite possibly the best Ive ever had. Would recommend in a heartbeat if youre looking for something unique to do for a special occasion!
Absolutely amazing experience overall, the food was amazing, the waiters and host who showed us to our table were super nice, and the chef even came out after the meal to ask how it was. One comment, however, is we were asked to arrive 15 minutes early, then we had to wait outside in the cold for those 15 minutes until the front door was unlocked. One suggestion is a possible waiting room indoors, or a tent with a heater. Other than that I definitely recommend going for the show and food!
My aunt took us and we had a great time. Food was great and we loved the show! Would go agaon
One of a kind experience. Highly recommend.
We were at this restaurant tonight celebrating 3 birthdays. We had a great time and the food was excellent. The table top show was something really different , and our entire group enjoyed it very much. I would highly recommend for a special occasion. The staff were also top notch. CHEERS.
Our family outing to the restaurant, including two glasses of wine, amounted to a total of $570, which also covered our two children. The quality of the meals was average and the restaurant smells cigarette smoke, disgusting. The animation was a hit with the kids, but its debatable whether this and the overall experience justified the high cost. Its important to note that a mandatory 18% gratuity is included in this price, totally non sense. Personally, I left feeling somewhat deceived by the experience and have resolved not to return and wouldnt recommend to others.
We tried it on the openning night for our anniversary....amazing expetience. The good is just top notch....its a 5 course properly craftet meal. The staff are amazing and they just made it a perfect night for us. Absolutely recommend it and definitely worth the price.
We experienced Le Petit Chef for our anniversary on opening weekend and it was outstanding! Will be back again!
Amazing. Unique. Brought fiance and our 6 year old. Food matches the Amazing experience. Food : 5/5
Drinks here are an absolute must with your meal! The experience was absolutely amazing and I will definitely come back!
Excellent experience and well worth the money. Staff is super friendly and food is great. The hot thing is just great.
We went with the family to the new venue at 107 Wyndham N Guelph . It was the most immersive platform a restaurant can have and we experienced so far . Everything was excellent , Thanks Steve , James and the friendly staff . We come with other friends definitely.
It was an amazing experience with my family there
We truly enjoyed this experience and are still pleasantly stuffed from all the great food, hours after leaving. Next time well experiment more with the drinks as we stuck with some nice wine. The whole team is lovely and made everyone feel really special. Thanks for bringing this to Guelph!
The food was absolutely scrumptious, the entertainment was adorable and charming, and all the staff were unbelievably friendly. The head chef came out to visit, and while taller than expected, was a delight to meet. Leanne and Jamie run a tight ship and it showed in every aspect of the evening. Thanks so much for a welcoming, amazing evening!
We went together as a family and with one glass of wine the whole experience costs us $450 (with one kid). The food was so-so, seafood soup was uneatable, as the seafood was like a resin meaning it was over cooked. Cartoon with little chef was cool for kids, but I doubt that the whole experience and food would cost that much money. Keep in mind that gratitude is included in the amount of 18%, and we were asked to give even more gratitude, seriously? This whole dining experience should be topped $200, not worth it, I feel like I have been tricked.
So much fun, exceptional service. Jamie did a wonderful job doubling up our table with individuals we got on great with. Very expensive, so I would say it s a one time thing, but very worth it. Important to note - an 18% auto grat is added to your bill along with a service fee of 13%. We paid about $100 in tax, tips and fees on top of the meal itself.
We loved our experience at Le Petit Chef! It was our first time coming and not knowing too much of what to expect. From start to finish, we received fantastic service from Jamie who supplied not only smooth and welcoming conversation along with the friendly bar and server teams, but also gave us very knowledgeable and spot on recommendations on their cocktails and paired us with a wonderful couple for the night to share our meals with! The show itself was quite entertaining and the food was delicious and flavourful. We left feeling absolutely stuffed! If you want to try a unique dining experience with delicious food and drinks, this is the spot in Guelph to visit!
Fine dining for children. It is a fixed menu and even when they ask how to prepare the steak they miss. Overall the food was one dimensional, not particularly exciting. It is very much like fine dining on a cruise ship. The chicken I was served was extremely dry, the wifes was fine. Our steak dish was served cold (potatoes and veg not properly reheated) with the medium rare steaks pushing blue. Im not even sure where one finds lobster the size of shrimp. The creme brulee was not properly caramelized leaving sugar under the shell. After each serving they play a cartoon on the table which was killing the drunk ladies and the children in the room. After each course the restaurant asks how was it culminating with the sous chef at the end of the meal asking the same question. It was fine but if you want to be in this price range it needs to be better. Also if you suffer with epilepsy or vertigo avoid looking at the table as the images are in constant motion and jittery. Dont expect a romantic date night, here the space is way too loud for normal conversation. The 18% mandatory tip is insulting and then to fish for a tip at the bill is something. If your product is worth 20% price hike and you wish to pass that on to your employees then fine. Finally because Guelph has decided cars are the enemy there is very limited parking but lots of empty patios. So arrive early because we spent 20 minutes hunting for a spot. Parking: They dont have parking and Guelph has removed most parking for monthly rent. Kid-friendliness: The children in the room loved the cartoons.
The food was excellent. The service was 5 star. Unfortunately, the term hologram used in the promotional material is very generous. Its a projector above a table. And not even a next-generation projector. The videos were cute, but very cartoony and not directly related to how the actual meal was made. Maybe my expectations were too high. I justified the very high cost of the evening ($400+ for a bottle of wine, dinner for two and two drinks at the bar) as dinner and a show. While the dinner was fantastic, the show was gimmicky and the midi music on loop throughout the entire meal got pretty annoying. The non-negotiable 20% gratuity and the debit machine asking for even more really rubbed me the wrong way. Anything that makes La Cucina seem affordable, aiming to be the new premium dining place in town, needs to go further to justify the cost for the evening. Maybe if the technology was modernized and the videos less childish? It was a unique experience, but were not going back.
The entertainment was sweet and endearing, the food was delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly.I love them.
What a fabulous dining experience from start to finish. The staff were super friendly, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. Thank you so much to Lea and Jamie for making the evening a memorable one, thank you to Adele our server who was fun and great. I recommend this restaurant to everyone, you have to experience this unique place.
Exceptional experience. From the hologram, to the food to the atmosphere. Le Petit Chef is such a fun concept, we drove from Niagara to try it and it exceeded all expectations. Every aspect of the meal was phenomenal, the salad was seasoned perfectly, the soup was delicious, and I ve never had chicken cooked that perfectly in a restaurant. Definitely a great spot if you re celebrating any occasion.
Spoilers contained in the videos . So I came across this incredible upscale dining experience in Guelph. Le Petit Chef - Guelph So let me start with the basics it s a interactive , cute and entertaining experience. The menu is set and it s 5 courses they seemed diligent and accommodating to allergies from witnessing the people around us. I read some of the reviews before hand and I have to say those people don t understand that upscale dining and 18% is a min tip The service in this place was outstanding it s not insulting to tip more lol Jamie the bartender I hope they never loose him. He was incredible. Knowledgeable Leanne is the restaurant manager she was attentive , personable ane kind. Ava was fantastic and I loved making jokes with her. The chef comes out at the end and speaks to each table Sanson explained to me that his Indian background , he trained in a fine dinning restaurant in Guelph. The food was 1000% spot on. The menu was 5 courses at 129.99 each plus a 18% tip added. We of course added more to make it 20%. The ingredients were fresh and every bite was spot on. My husband went into this experience completely blind. I never told him where we were going on the menu. Highly recommend doing this. The entertainment of the chef made for a fun and different night. The cocktails and wine selection were plentiful. Overall I would absolutely go back they change the menu yearly apparently it was a great high end and fun experience. Do not watch the videos if you want a surpsie. I definitely didn t film even half of what s to come. Only flaw the music is AWFUL lol. Full review on food and Waterloo region Facebook page.
We had a group of 7 today for dinner. I have to say we have enjoyed every minute of it. Great entertainment and amazing food, usually you pay for the entertainment and food is not so great. Not here, complete package. My dad that does not eat salads even ate his salad and was saying how great it was. The girl stat was our server, amazing such a nice a polite professional service. We will definitely be back
I do not ever remember giving 5 stars ACROSS-THE-BOARD for any restaurant weve visited...this is NOT just a great dining experience, its a CLASS ACT dining and entertainment evening, that BOTH challenges your taste buds, but, the infused show is both funny and fun inspiring!!. The service the food, the intro, the owner, the chef are focused ON YOU!! WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!
Very unique experience. A dinner and a show! The food was delicious, and the projection show made it more interesting.
Hard to review this one. Food was good but not great For the required 20% tip, the service wasnt worth it. It was a great date place, But our bill was $400 with two drinks each. Totally not worth it. We wont ever go back, and I am assuming every else will think the same I am guessing this place will close as soon as thw lustre wears off
Took our staff for a lovely dinner. The ambience was great and the experience was exceptional and unique. Food was delicious and their staff ensured we had a great time. Would highly recommend!
Dear La Petite Chef, I am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with my recent visit to your restaurant. This was my first experience at La Petite Chef, and I had high expectations as I had traveled all the way from Egypt to celebrate our birthdays with friends and enjoy a beautiful evening. However, the treatment we received left a lot to be desired. Firstly, I was surprised and disappointed when I was informed that my entire table was only allowed to be served one drink each and no further alcohol or wine was available. This restriction was not communicated beforehand and significantly hindered the overall enjoyment of our evening. We had hoped to indulge in a celebratory toast and try a variety of drinks to complement our dining experience. Moreover, while enjoying our meal, we unfortunately discovered a fly on one of our desserts. This was highly unpleasant and not something we expected from a reputable establishment like yours. Such an oversight is concerning and tarnished the overall experience for all of us. Given these unfortunate incidents, I wanted to bring these matters to your attention and express my disappointment. As a first-time guest, I had hoped for a memorable and delightful evening, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. I hope you take this feedback seriously and strive to avoid such issues in the future. I would appreciate a prompt response addressing these concerns and any steps you plan to take to rectify these shortcomings Secondly Im writing to express my profound disappointment and dissatisfaction regarding the unfortunate incident that took place at La Petite Chef on Saturday night. It is currently 2:33am and I find myself unable to sleep due to the distress caused by this incident. After returning from a month-long business trip in Munich, Germany, I was excitedly looking forward to indulging in an incredible dining experience with my friends, as we were also celebrating our birthdays. However, the evening took an unexpected turn when Jim, the bartender, seemingly discriminated against me based on my Indigenous background. To my dismay, Jim overheard that I was a First Nations and Aboriginal man from Canada and deliberately chose not to serve alcohol to our entire table, excluding a single margarita that was reluctantly provided to me. Conversely, a lady seated next to us, who happened to be white, was freely served any alcoholic beverage of her choosing, despite her apparent engagement in consuming marijuana nearby. This distressing incident left me feeling the most profound sense of embarrassment I have ever experienced. It is disheartening to be treated differently purely based on my cultural background, especially in a place that prides itself on providing exceptional service and inclusivity. I kindly request that appropriate action be taken to rectify this situation, as I believe every customer deserves to be treated fairly, with respect, and without discrimination. I trust that you will investigate this matter thoroughly and take suitable measures to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to hearing from you soon to discuss the steps taken to address this issue. Yours sincerely, I hereby express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the lack of response from La Petite Chef restaurant, despite my lodged complaint regarding the dinner I recently experienced there. As a loyal patron, I believe it is imperative for establishments to acknowledge customer concerns promptly and appropriately, thereby instilling confidence and reflecting a commitment to exceptional service. Regrettably, my interaction with La Petite Chef has been anything but satisfactory. On the aforementioned visit, I encountered a series of disappointing incidents encompassing both the quality of the cuisine and the overall dining experience. Consequently, I felt compelled to bring these issues to the attention of the establishment. Constructively, with no response.
Amazing place. The food was fantastic! The services was incredible. The whole experience just blew me away. The clips of le petit chef were entertaining and the food came out quickly and hot. The salad tasted like it pulled from the garden that morning; so fresh. The food displays were really impressive. I love the seafood bisque the most. We had a drink in their lounge area before we went to our table. Flavorful drinks. Bartender friendly and attentive. We will definitely return. Only suggestion would be a bit more vegetables & little less potato. I dont understand the bad reviews. These people clearly dont understand what a fine dining experience is. Highly recommend
It was a very cool dinner and show. The servers were very courteous. The food was amazing and my kids loved it. Only suggestion is to have some extra time to find parking.
Atmosphere was engaging, positive, and entertaining. Food was flavorful and had many different textures. The service was exceptional. Food never came late and the waiters were always pleasant and joyful. Wonderful restaurant, and I completely recommend it.
The concept is very cool and I have heard great things but how can you not offer gift certificates in restaurant? And you want $27 cad just to ship a gift certificate if its under $350 seems a bit ridiculous.
Pricy but worthy Nice experience Food
Very expensive! Food was good but cold. Our bill for 2 people was $412 with one bottle of wine. Gratuities were automatically charged. Our drink service was extremely slow. For these reasons we will not return or recommend to anyone. Just way way way too expensive and I didnt appreciate them applying the gratuities!
I wasn t sure what to expect food-wise for Le Petit Chef which I ve seen floating around for a while now. I can t speak for their other locations but I was VERY impressed by the Guelph location for what it was, which opened earlier this year. Going to a dinner experience that incorporates the mini worlds that I love was very enjoyable. The chicken and steak were not dry and worked very well with their accompaniments. The crème brûlée had just the right amount of lavender (I find some places overdo it) and a satisfying crack to open up the soft custard beneath. There was a little video with the Petit Chef preparing the food and getting caught up in different shenanigans before each plate is served right afterwards.
