Lucky Belly in Guelph

I went today for lunch with my friend . It was quite busy we thought it was because of holidays . But we soon realized that it is because of the yummy food and their prices . I had the chicken cheddar jalapeño sandwich combo . The combo comes with your choice of side and a drink , including tip I only paid $22 . You guys are amazing , great food , great atmosphere and great people. I will definitely be back for more. Thank you for making my weekend amazing .

My girlfriend and I had lunch here the other day. We were so impressed with how good the food is. First time eating here, and we sure will be back and recommend this place to everyone to go check out. Thanks again.

Traveled from Windsor for a work trip Stopped in for lunch to this lovely little spot Friendly staff, pretty good food. Got the Chicken Parm Sandwich and Broccoli Cheddar Fritters Sandwich was great Found the fritters to have too much batter and a bit too sweet for my liking, but thats personal preference. Cannot fault them for that. The place does seem a bit dated and could use a little TLC but overall would recommend and would love to be back!

Literally my favorite restaurant! I live in Waterloo but work down the street and I look forward to weekly lunches here.

Very tasty meals, friendly staff

We ordered Uber eats and received the wrong order. Lucky Belly called us to advise the driver had picked up the wrong order and they would personally drop off the correct order for us. Within 30mins, Dino the owner, was right by our door steps. He made a kind offered to refund us for the trouble and wait time this is well above and beyond any restaurant would go to. On top of that, the food was amazing!!!! We hope to stop by in the restaurant next time and give them a BIG THANK YOU! - Eviee & Sagar

Unbelievable Chicken Parm Sandwich

Was recommended by a friend, took my mom when she was here for a visit. Both loved the selection, tried new beers and the food was amazing!! The staff were fun and kind. I was also blown away that beet fries were on the menu hadnt had those since being out east!!

Good food, quote filling and tasty. Like the tacos and healthy boxes. Dietary restrictions: Have a reasonable gluten-free menu, and they actually called me back to make sure some of the options were ok. Parking: There is one tree by the parking lot, so your car will get hot. But its part of a plaza, so there are plenty of spots.

I had the Chipotle pulled pork sandwich combo with hummus dip and a strawberry milkshake. The sandwich was amazing and I was too full to finish the hummus/pita bread but took it home for my husband. The hummus was a bit bland but maybe just when compared to the sandwich. The milkshake wasnt as thick as I was expecting and was more like strawberry flavored milk. The server was great in the beginning but when she came back to check on us we asked for more napkins and she didnt return for a very long time - really not until we were beyond ready for the bills. It actually became a bit of a joke watching her go to every other table multiple times and not coming back to ours. Its likely they were understaffed (as everyone is right now) and thats why they lost the 1 star. Overall it was a good experience and I hope to go back.

This restaurant s food is absolutely incredible. Their pulled pork taco and cheddar broccoli fritters are to die for. The line up for this place goes out of the store and rightfully so. It is one of if not THE best food spot in Guelph. I would wait an hour in line for this food. Too bad they re not open on weekends.

Lucky belly is my favourite low-key dine-in or high-key takeout place in Guelph, along with the owl of Minerva. I just wish they had a bike rack nearby. Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetarian options. Falafel, black bean & quinoa are both great. Almost all sides are vegetarian. Parking: Lots of car parking. I wish there was a bike rack.

This was my first time. I ordered a large vpower box. Im pretty sure I got a small but I have nothing to compare. But it was definitely enough. Also I didnt get a vpower. What I got had pears and I think beets? I didnt realize cause it was so good, until I was well into it and I got a bite of pear. But I wasnt disappointed, still delicious. Even tho I got the wrong order I tried something I wouldnt have ever ordered and discovered something new I like. They were pretty quick and friendly also. Would go again, would just check my order before leaving.

Stopped in because this place is always busy and thats a good sign right. I didnt find anything other than the fish tacos on the menu that I would eat. People say it a great place but I found it to be a little expensive and none of the dishes come with a side. Sides are extra. The food looks good but we didnt stay to eat here, its just not my thing but you may enjoy it.

I havent been here for several years. Last night, I had the thai Taco and Caribbean Taco with a side sweet potato salad. This was so, so good. So much flavor and so filling. Ill be back, I think Ive found a new favorite

Placed an order on UberEats. Over 10 minutes later the restaurant cancelled the order. Called them and they were happy to take orders over the phone but sounded surprised about my cancelled order and just said they were having problems with the tablet. Now showing as closed on UberEats. Suspect they didn t want to deal with the order. We order there regularly but we ll start ordering elsewhere.

The best fries I have ever eaten. I had the beef brisket, which I could only eat half. Also when we got there, there werent any tables available, so we sat at a table in customer area. A very nice experience. Thanx Sandi

First time here and will not return. For the reviews this place was very underwhelming. Maybe I was expecting too much. There was just too many sauces on everything - I like to taste my food. The choice in sides while interesting, again, were underwhelming and for the price?? Wow, $8.00 for fries and some garlic aioli? There were 4 of us that all got a sandwich combo of some sort & 4 different sides to share so that we all got a taste. Mac & Cheese bites were interesting, the tzakiki & dip was fine but a little bland, broccoli, cheddar fritters (my choice) were not good at all in my opinion. The best side was the shoestring fries, they taste like the Cavendish shoestring fries that are $4.00 for the whole bag. The sandwiches themselves were fine, nobody went hungry but nothing to comment on. As for atmosphere, I gave it a one star only because I couldnt leave it blank, its a diner not a restaurant. Hard metal stools at some of the counters, Other table and chairs were functional but not comfortable. The booths are comfortable enough but squishy for a group of 4. Guess its the kind of place where you eat and run not linger? And again, maybe my expectations were too high. Service however was great! We interacted with a few of the staff members and everyone was lovely and sociable. The place was busy but no one seemed fazed by it or rushed. Many thanks for the excellent service.

We love this place. The food is delicious. We usually get 2 sliders with brussel sprouts and chips with guacamole. We always feel like we get value for our buck, very well fed. The staff are always attentive and very friendly. I also love their piña colada. Im glad they changed their playlist to mixed music instead of just country.

Wow, just wow the staff was super friendly, the food came out fast and was almost unbelievably good, and the prices were good for the quality and quality I might still be full from lunch, but I m already looking forward to going back!

The flavours and prices here are phenomenal. The options all sound so good it makes deciding hard, but the good news is everything is delicious so youll be happy no matter what you take! Highly recommend trying out lucky belly if you have the chance.

First time here and Im impressed with the quality of the food. We ordered a chicken waffle sandwich and it was delicious! The best choice we could make for sure. The side dish weve chosen is the broccoli cheddar fritters and it comes along with garlic mayo. The garlic mayo is the best one I ever had here in Guelph. Everything combined perfectly. Usually pretty friendly service if not occasionally slow. But the atmosphere is fantastic and they have a great choice of food for a wide variety of tastes. Usually I get a bowl because who doesn t feel healthy when they re eating one of those?! Recently tried a sandwich and it was to die for too! Careful with the sandwich servings!! If they say half sandwich they mean one full bun! Love going here

Got the sandwich combo with chipotle pulled pork and Caribbean beef brisket. I much preferred the pulled pork sandwich of the two. The fries were my favourite part! Well seasoned and shoestring style fries. It s a small space and it was busy throughout the time I was there (lunch) but service was quick and pleasant.

Weve been ordering takeout here for well over a year. Every. Single. Meal. Is fantastic. Specifically the pulled pork slider is one of the best pork sandwiches Ive ever had. Service has been spot on. We call and order for delivery, and from every person who has taken our phone call, to each person who has delivered to our home, they have been courteous and helpful. Will continue to order and to recommend you to our friends.

My husband has been trying to bring me for lunch here since 2020, but our schedules were always so busy. I finally got to try what my husband has been raving about for years yesterday..I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. I had the Chicken Parm sandwich. It was very delicious. The pretzel bun was great and the garlic aioli gave the sandwich a really nice pop. The whole meal was so great. The service was fabulous. All the staff were very nice and made sure we were enjoying our meal. Our food came out so quickly after ordering it, I was almost in disbelief. My husband has lunch here during the week frequently and says it s always great food and the food comes to the table super quick. We took some of the left overs home, and EVEN THE NEXT DAY THE CHICKEN PARM AND PRETZEL BUN WAS DELICIOUS. The one thing however I am disappointed with is that I wish I got a second sandwich so I could have more to to eat today! This will now be a regular spot for me to eat at. THANK YOU LUCKY BELLY STAFF FOR SUCH A GREAT MEAL!

On recommendations from reviews here we had the Brussel Sprouts (without bacon) and they were delicious. So were the zucchini fingers and the spicy lentil soup. So good! Very busy place. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options.

The Cali Healthy Box is a definite hit! Salad never tasted so good and felt so satisfying!

Great food with for a reasonable price. The double sandwich combo is menu item that stood out for me. I however underestimated the portion size - I couldnt finish it. Its essentially two meals for the price of one (at least more my stomach).

I had the pulled beef and the chicken waffle and it was delicious with that you get a big portion of fries. Will definitely come back if i am around.

Great food every time we order

There salads are amazing. My hubby and I ordered a few nights ago from Uber eats and the menu didnt say there was avocado in the one sandwhich which I am very allergic too. I called the restaurant to confirm it was avocado and suggest the update it. I wasnt upset with them nor was I asking for anything. They offered and dropped it off themselves with an apology! Love this restaurant and their staff. Amazing service and great food. Thanks so much!

Vegetarian options: Lots of veggies options + alternatives. Dietary restrictions: Easy to make substitutions that fit your restrictions. Parking: Shared parking lot amongst plaza.

The food is amazing, the staff are friendly and efficient and make you feel welcome from the minute you walk through the door. The atmosphere is upbeat and friendly. I will definitely be back again and again. Parking: There are lots of parking spots very close to the front door.

I just left Lucky Belly with an order to take home as my wife requested it. I personally hadnt eaten at the establishment before and didnt know what to expect. My wife had the beet box with quinoa and she was very happy with her order. I hade a combination order with a fish taco, jalapeño chicken sandwich and beet fries and proceeded to eat my meal. About 1/3 of the way through the taco I had to remove a 5 inch hair from my mouth which was to say the least discouraging. My wife wasnt impressed and tried to ignore this and while eating my beet fries I ate another long hair which I didnt mention so she wouldnt be totally revolted. Im currently still eating my meal because I paid a fair amount and hopefully the rest goes without issues. The taste of the food is good but the hair issue has left me less than impressed. I also noted a pungent odor while waiting for my order and when asking the server she said she had just mopped the floor around the table I was sitting at. Not sure the sanitary standards are up to requirements of passing public scrutiny.

Lucky Belly is healthy Fast-ish food. If you want to eat in you can, but within 10-15 minutes an amazing quality with healthy options food are ready for you! I have many allergies that fast food is impossible for me to find anything, but lucky for me, there is Lucky Belly! Vegetarian options: Great options including boxes and sweet potato salad. Dietary restrictions: I can find options for my many restrictions including wheat and dairy. And there are options if you want a sandwich not on a bun. The meat can be in lettuce, on quinoa or rice. The only thing I wish they had which they dont is all corn tortillas for tacos. These are readily available now and cheap! Just fry em for a few minutes each side and they hold together and are safe for us non-wheat eaters!

I had the double slider Black & Blue with fries. At first glance I was impressed! The brioche buns looked so next level. This sandwich took me places. My taste buds have suffered during the pandemic. Restaurants have struggled to keep professional kitchen staff that REALLY know how to cook restaurant quality food. Well let me just say, HAPPY BELLY gave my tastebuds something to hope for! I can t wait to have this sandwich again, or to try what ever other slice of Ambrosia they can serve up. WORTH EVERY PENNY!

AMAZING Experience! First time visit! Went in 20 minutes before close not realizing they were closing! They treated us wonderfully letting us know we were welcome to stay. Order 2 double sandwich combos (WAY MORE FOOD THAN EXPECTED) amazing bang for your buck! I was distracted by my daughter and didnt realize the buffalo chicken came with blue cheese. Solid, healthy bowls and menu options. Food is delicious and service is sold. Tilapia tacos with their pickled red onions and sauce is delicious!! I regret not getting two tacos instead of just one. Only thing I wasnt a huge fan of is their fries. I prefer thicker cut and theirs are too thin for my liking, but I wont take stars off for that.

I wasnt too thrilled with this place. They have indoor and outdoor eating areas. The food that I ate was subpar. The options on the menu looked good, but for a better review I think I would need to try it again. Vegetarian options: Lots of options and even some gluten free Wheelchair accessibility: I dont recall it being wheelchair friendly. I think the entrance was quite narrow, but I could be wrong.

Lucky Belly has become our go to resto ever since we moved to Guelph almost three years ago. Dino the owner is wonderful, accountable and generous in relating to customers. He works tirelessly alongside the rest of the staff to create delicious and high quality food in a friendly and welcoming environment. Recently they got new t-shirts for the wait and kitchen staff. They are hilarious. Cant say enough good things about this place.

I love this place! Every time I come to Guelph, this is my go to restaurant. I have tried many things on the menu but my go to is always the Cali Healthy Box. If you haven t been here, you re missing out!

I had an excellent Beet Box! Loved it like usual. My husband had the fish taco and it tasted awful! Something was definitely wrong with it. He also got the Buffalo sandwich which was ok but nothing special. Our biggest complaint was how dirty the restaurant is now. Dead flies everywhere, food smeared on booth and ledges and the floors -yikes! Along the walls and under the centre table leg (never been moved to cleaned under it?). I hope management can fix these issues.

My belly sure did get lucky! The food is super good, lots of variety and vegetarian options too. You may sit indoors or outdoors. The staff is super nice. It s a must!

My coworker and I enjoyed a quick lunch. We chose chicken sandwich each and shared fries. Everything was so delicious!!! The hostess and waitress were very polite, prompt, and engaged in conversation. Highly recommend this restaurant Vegetarian options: Black bean burger is available. So is a dish of hummus. I finally came here to eat after hearing so many great things and I wasnt disappointed. I had a pulled pork sandwich, beef brisket sandwich and a side of fries. My wife had a bean burger with a side of guacamole and tortilla chips. The fries were a tad bit salty, but everything else was absolutely fantastic. I typically browse comments before I comment just to see if theres anything positive or negative that doesnt add up with my experience and other than someone complaining about it being too narrow for wheelchairs, which it isnt, there arent too many bad reviews which says a lot! Cant wait to return

By far my favourite place to eat in Guelph. It is not cheap, but man is it good. Their selection of sliders is wonderful and they have a great combo where you can have two different sliders and a side. The sides are also fantastic. Fries are delicious, broccoli cheddar bites are like SAVOURY TIMBITS I would die for them. Mac and Cheese nuggets are as good as they sound (very good) and they even have good boxes. I ate their Keto box frequently for a time in my life. If youre going to go anywhere in Guelph to eat, Lucky Belly is it. Also they have a pickle bar which seals the deal for me.

If you want fresh fresh great,No amazing tasting food with great portions Lucky Belly is the best place in Guelph for you. My daughter and I love love their pulled pork with cheese a thick onion ring bbq sauce topped with their yummy chipotle aïoli on one or two round pretzel buns . Our second choice is probably the bbq beef (family is from the Chicago area we know our beef sandwiches lol) Or one of their delicious chicken sandwiches or choose to have it as a huge taco. If meat isn t your thing. They have a great selection of vegetarian bowls wraps salads. Oh their salads they are on another level lol with great homemade salad dressings. Now their sides. Wow lol. You can see the list is huge from crispy skinny fries with Chipotle aloi sauce to their roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon to their amazing broccoli cheese dumplings it s all delicious. You might order another side because it s so hard to choose lol. Now just make sure if you order in ask for a side of their pickles, they have them on the house at a bar to the right of their counter, dill and spicy etc I have to say in all of Guelph this has to have the best quality and taste of all the restaurants in town. Great food for a great price, cannot recommend more. I think my only suggestion would be to have marinara sauce instead of ketchup for the mac and cheese bites.

Got delivery from here last night and I was beyond impressed. I tried the shrimp po boy, the Caribbean taco, the pulled pork sandwich, the pork schnitzel, and the brussel sprouts and spanikopita sides. Everything exceeded my expectations, you can tell they put thought and care into the recipes. The portions were very large and the prices reasonable. They have a great selection of sides as well.

Always good food and lots of it, for a fair and reasonable price. Their fries are especially tasty. And service is quick, so it works for a quick work lunch.

Completely worth it, I would go out of my way to come back here! The staff was incredibly kind and friendly, they recommended their favourite meals off the menu and they did not disappoint. I had the chicken parm sandwich with the zucchini fries and the beet box with quinoa and chicken, delicious!!! It s also VERY affordable and the ambiance is great.

This is by far one of the best lunch restaurants in Guelph for sandwich/taco style fare. Every staff member has been extremely pleasant in both takeout/dine-in experience. Food is exceptional with large portions and generous sides. Their fries may be the best in Guelph. Delicious keto bowl available on request while ordering at the counter. Must try if you are looking for a delicious and substantial lunch/dinner.
