I have come here for dinner several times over the past year, each time convincing myself it must have been an off night . I really want to love this place but sadly, last Friday, it (again) didn t live up to the five stars so many give it. The staff are always lovely and the atmosphere is always nice. But the food (and at Toronto prices) is never great and I always leave disheartened. On this occasion, even the fries were cold and stale. I hate to leave a negative review but I d equally hate for someone to spend $120 on a special meal for two, to be as disappointed as we were. Especially when everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment. I d expect these standards from a chain or some of the cheaper bars, but you re not getting what you pay for here. I really hope the feedback helps to make changes, as I d gladly pay the price for a great meal.

First time, impressed, great food, good menu selection

My friend and I had a fabulous lunch today. I had the chicken sandwich and she had the peach salad with trout. Everything was cooked to perfection, the patio is beautiful and Liam our server made the afternoon perfect. He was engaging and not overbearing at all and an absolute pleasure.

The pizza was delightful , exquisite wine selection, amazing quality of products and cooking. Loved the experience! For sure we are coming back

We grabbed takeout tonight and I got smoked tomato bisque. I think it is the best soup I have ever eaten.

I had 2 dry margaritas and the spicy honey pizza. The dry maragaritas were honestly one of the best I ve ever had. Not too sweet. Perfect amount of lime versus alcohol. The spicy honey pizza was great!

I was a little disappointed dining here. Paid $35 for a small chicken breast with burnt carrots underneath. My boyfriends meal was lamb, and it was the same price. We shared a pizza for an app which was good but overall this place is very average at high end prices.

One of my favorite Guelph restaurants

I popped in for lunch, with no expectations other than giving them a try and I am so happy I did. From when you walk in the door till I walked out I was extremely happy with them as whole. The menu options very easy to navigate and all dishes explained. I had the steak fries medium rare and the meal was delicious. Portion size was perfect. I tried the apple juice and that was pretty awesome. Best apple juice I have had in a very long time The staff all very pleasant, all smiling and helpful. Easy to talk to at all times. They were very nice yo deal with. Overall I would recommend them. This is a place I will definitely be going to again.

Came here with my Dad and had a wonderful meal. The patio was nice even on a super hot day, and all of the staff were very sweet. We shared a pizza and a sandwich, they were both great. Hope to come back and try more.

Great date night place. I always enjoy the Chicken, Steak or Trout. Cheese board is delicious, service is great. They often have specials such as Wednesday night date night that you should absolutely take advantage of if you havent tried Maiijidaa yet. I would absolutely recommend this place. Dietary restrictions: They also have a lot of Gluten Free options in case anyone in your party is gluten intolerant.

Was there tonight. I have been many times and it s been delicious. Today was completely bland and disappointing. One entire meal was sent back with no questions about it the food was good or not. Disclaimer; It was not.

Was in Guelph for a day to visit and chanced upon miijidaa. Ordered the trout which was fantastic. Very high quality, local ingredients. Flavor and texture is on point as well. Service was great as well. Definitely worth a second visit.

I used to really love Miijidaa and it was always the first place Id recommend, whether it was a date night, a birthday party.. really, for anything. We literally needed no excuse to visit because I loved the food that much. The biggest disappointment is the change to the Beef Cheek Boats. They used to be incredibly delicious: caramelised, decadent, indulgent. Now they just seem like boiled potatoes with the tiniest bit of onion etc. on top. This was presented as a new and improved recipe, and perhaps it may be improved in terms of the time it takes the kitchen to put together, but the flavours are not there at all. If you even compare the photos of the dish from now versus what they used to be, you can immediately tell that todays beef cheek boats are not worth it. Other folks at another table also commented on how disappointing this particular dish was. The rest of the meal we had was fine, not as good as it used to be but still not bad. Burger was a bit dry, elk steak was a bit tough... but it was a busy night for them and I know that that can be difficult. Im just very disappointed in the direction the menu seems to be going if something as popular as the beef cheek boats had such a massive quality drop. Drinks, on the other hand, are always delicious and we really appreciate the alcohol-free options. The staff has always been great, and the atmosphere of the place is very welcoming. I still like Miijidaa, but I do hope that the menu changes improve the food rather than take away from the dining experience.

Cute cafe attached to a bookstore which I was completely in awe of! The service was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The butternut squash barley risotto was just okay but the veggie burger was incredibly tasty :)

Enjoyed a great Mother s Day lunch at Miijidaa yesterday! I forgot to take pictures but everything was delicious - the mussels in a pesto sauce, the Umami burger, the tofu scramble Very friendly, efficient staff, too!

We had a lovely Date Night here on Wednesday. An outstanding value for a wonderful dinner.

Food is a little overpriced, but not bad. Our waiter Flow was creepy kept calling us love was just generally bad.

Great place to have dinner, nice ambience, the elk steak is highly recommended. Dessert options arent bad either, especially the coffee options - had a nice boozy coffee for the finale of my meal. Staff is very attentive and friendly as well. Cant go wrong with checking this place out!

It pains me to rate Mijiidaa anything less than 5*, but as a long time customer, I can only say that it is not what it used to be. It was my go-to recommendation for anyone visiting Guelph looking for a place to eat. It was great value for delicious, locally sourced food. I returned today for the first time in a while. Portions are still reasonable, at a much higher cost (which I understand in these days). The menu has greatly been reduced. Staples that I loved like the elk scotch egg, hay smoked tofu, and braised beef rib are no longer available. There s no tofu on the menu at all, actually. We had the beef cheeks boats for an appetizer. From the menu description, I was expecting something similar to baked potato skins with braised beef cheeks in the boat . These were more like boiled baby potatoes with the tiniest bit of beef cheek and sauteed onion/shallot. The smash burger was over 1/2 thick - therefore NOT a smash burger, just a regular burger. The bun was proportionally too large for the patty. My husbands chicken and bacon sandwich was pretty bland - how is something with bacon on it tasteless? Whatever they have changed, I m not a fan. I will not be recommending Mijiidaa in the future and will likely not return. This makes me very sad as a long time customer.

I just came back from lunch at Miijidaa and it was very good as always, love the Mac and Cheese. However, I was very disappointed that the Elk Scotch Egg is no longer available. Please bring it back and Ill give 5 stars!

Love the food but not the service, they need to have proper follow through when you identify a birthday celebration, plus the parking is terrible! Disappointed. I will not be back.

The food here is quite good, especially the pizzas. The environment is okay, and the servers were relatively nice. Most cafes are rather disappointing when it comes to quantity of food and how filling it would be, but this is virtually indistinguishable from your typical restaurant in that regard. Overall a positive eating experience.

Disclaimer: this is for my delivery experience. The food was just not good. I got the butternut squash soup, trout, risotto, and sticky toffee pudding. The trout was the only dish remotely close to cooked well. Everything else was just not prepared correctly. Each dish just screamed over ambitious chef without the skill or experience to execute. Based on the trout, there is good food here. It just isn t the fancy more complex or difficult dishes to make.

I ate lunch here with a colleague and a customer. I ordered a cappuccino and it as just Ok, I wouldn t order it again. I had a Soppressata pizza for lunch and it was very average. I normally like pizza crust but this pizza had a hard crust which I didn t like. We decided to eat at this restaurant for a business meeting and it was very loud and difficult to hear while talking to people at our table. I would not go out of my way to eat here again, it s just an average cafe with Ok food. Parking: There is no parking lot at this location. The only parking is on the street.

Weve always had good luck, even when the food isnt amazing, because the staff make this restaurant such a treat. Try the couples night on Wednesdays if you are looking for something to do with a friend or significant other.

We had a lovely meal on Date Night Wednesday night. Fantastic and unique tastes: Crispy Woolwich Goat Cheese + Manitoulin Trout + Sticky Toffee Puding. Plus we ordered the Flourless chocolate Torte which was nothing short of amazing (5*). Great selection of beer and wine. Washroom could use some attention. As well, the trout entree was salty. When the taste of salt overwhelms the delicious green beans and the fish, then it s too slaty, even if it is Maldon Sea salt.

Ive come for dinner and had tea in the cafe area numerous times. The service is always friendly and swift. The food is delicious and the tea hot. I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the proximity to the Book Shelf.

Been dining here for years. Food service is always good. Prices are pretty good for the quality of food. During the summer months they got the best outdoor dining, its a secluded patio at the back. Unfortunately on my recent visit the neighborhood has gotten really sketchy. Lots of homeless and drug addicts around harassing people for money and cigarettes. A group of people were smoking meth outside the Bookshelf on a the bench. My family no longer feels safe visiting downtown. We will return once the city cleans the area up.

Delicious Pizza.

We returned to mijida after a wonderful dinner just before Christmas. We are generally reluctant to dine out in Guelph (unless you want pizza..or pizza...or pizza). We were looking forward to another evening of good food and unfortunately we were disappointed. Our mains arrived before we were even half finished our appetizers. Our server (who was sweet) asked to take our appetizer plates to clear room on the table, and we indicated that we were not finished eating the cold app. She left the salad but the hot meals had arrived so we started to eat them before they got cold(er). I would generally have a cocktail and a glass of wine and my husband a couple of beers. I was only half finished my cocktail and ended up not ordering a second drink. I had the tout which was slightly overcooked, a bit bland and not hot, my husband had the fish and chips and his chips were a mix of cold and hot. It seemed that the fish had been placed on cold fries because the ones under the fish were warm, but the ones around the fish were hard and cold. Having lots of kitchen and service experience, it seemed that the entire meal had been dropped as soon as the chit came into the kitchen and then sat on the overpass until it was called. The server did take our salad off the chit as an apology and seemed genuinely concerned that we did not enjoy our night out. Our entire dining experience was in and out in under an hour. it felt rushed and overpriced for the entire experience. We decided to forego dessert (we had literally just eaten an app and two mains in about 35 min). I feel that the dining room and kitchen need some serious oversight by management.

I went here for a date night, and had a wonderful experience. we tried the pumpkin bread, and I head theyre whiskey sour Valentines Day special cocktail. Everything was amazing and good portioning. I got the trout, and my partner got the elk steak.

My go-to restaurant in Guelph, with very fair prices and incredible pizzas. I love how they re willing to get experimental with some of the sauce bases, and as much as I was hesitant about a butternut squash purée base, it was incredible. I could eat the Soppressata daily.

Service was good. Servers are quick and personable. However, the food... I cant remember the last time we all went somewhere and completely disliked our meals which is unfortunate. Gnocchi was mushy, no noodles to be found just a puree of pasta and sauce. I would not call the risotto, risotto. We didnt know what that was. The appetizers combined way too many different flavours which was very overwhelming. Overall, I think we will skip out on this place. Can appreciate originality but too much contrasting flavours, ingredients and textures going on with these plates.

What a neat place. Great to see am interesting veggie burger option. Too many places are just buying beyond meat or one of the other popular faux meat options. Super friendly staff and great atmosphere.

Nice place, good vibe and clean, looks like a super cute back patio that would be nice in the summer - but I m actually disappointed after reading all of the raving reviews. Our food was not great, very strange pizza with a couple pieces of walnut here and there, pieces of squash with the skins on, still hard, just bad. The vegetable sides on our dishes didn t seem fresh at all. ( maybe because of the holidays ? ) Our server was doing shots at the bar with their co worker, and it was hard getting attention when needed. We would have got coffee but it was shocking to see no espresso machine just some other kind of coffee making machine. Two stars for the homemade soda. Would return here for a drink only.

Our favourite place to celebrate our birthdays because we know that everyone can get something that suits their food sensitivities and allergies. Staff are impeccable and always friendly.

I went here for my first time this past Saturday. We were taking our Niece out for a nice dinner as she is a student near by. Our reservation was for 6:30. We are going to start with the bad and end with the good. The Bad: We arrived on time for our reservation and were asked to take a seat at the bar while we wait for our table. I am totally find to wait a couple minutes for a reserved time as I used to be a hostess and I know sometimes things dont work out. BUT 35 minutes later and not a single person came to address us about our reservation. We asked the bar tender whom said Let me go check on that for you she came back and brazenly stood in front of us making drinks and said nothing. It wasnt just rude, it was weird. We asked her again and her response was I am aware and went back to making her drinks. We then took it upon ourselves and went to the hostess and asked her what was going on? She told us she is waiting for a table to leave. Some suggestions here folks. First, ALWAYS TELL THE CUSTOMER WHAT IS GOING ON! Dont ignore us as it makes the situation much much worse. People are more receptive to transparency. Second, ALWAYS MAKE EYE CONTACT. The bartender and the hostess were clearly trying not to look at us for fear we may ask why its 7:05 and we havent been seated yet. And why is the a 4 star you may ask? Well lets move on to the good. The Good: Our server Riley was excellent and when our table was ready a very kind woman came over and took us to our seat. She apologized profusely for the lateness of us getting sat and bought us an appetizer and comped our bottle of wine. Then our food came which was a tad bit bland but nothing a little salt didnt correct as we all have different taste buds when it comes to salt. Besides this the food was excellent. It was truly excellent. In fact one of our party literally said This is the best meal I have had in almost a year. I mean delicious. So despite the way our evening started it finished wonderfully. Thank you for righting the wrong and taking care of us in the end! We will come back and try again and hopefully bump this up to a 5 start review!

Eclectic menu, amazing food (excellent pizza!) and prompt, attentive service. When the dining room gets full, the atmosphere can be quite loud and bustling. Concentrating on a quiet conversation can be challenging with the acoustics at peak times. Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options available (vegan friendly cheese for pizzas).

Awesome restaurant. Staff were extremely friendly, food was great, and drinks were phenomenal. We loved the Whiskey sour was the best Ive ever had.

We had the Valentines special and it was really good. Some items are new to the menu and some are on the regular dinner one. While quality of food was excellent I think that the beef carpaccio was just too small for the price (come on, three tiny thin slices for $11,99?). There were hiccups in the kitchen seems like as we waited for our mains (chicken and trout) for about 35 mins and it sort of sucks when you re on a Valentines date. Also duck was sold out at 8pm and that is weird when you prepare for a special day and menu. That said service was attentive, food was great and fresh, the peanut butter pie was amazing the space is spacious and well maintained. Will come back to try the full dinner menu.

Went in tonight to check this place out without any expectations. Was absolutely in love at first sight at the decor, the ambiance, the cafe atmosphere. Felt at home and enjoyed a very delicious and well balanced meal. I will be returning to try everything else on the menu. Update: Miijidaa has become one of my favorite places to go for many occasions. Delicious and well designed menus for special occasions like Valentines and New years. But also a great place for a quick bite and some great coffee, or a wonderful LGBTQIA+ friendly bar to hang out at. Absolutely love this restaurant, bar and cafe.

What a wonderful dining experience! Another hidden jewel in Guelph. The service was superb, as is the food and atmophere. The Elk Tortierre was nicely seasoned and delicious. Everyone raved about their choices. Nice variety of pizza choices, gluten free and vegan choices. We cant wait to return. Street Parking was a but tricky so.plan to arrive earlier. Dietary restrictions: Excellent selection of vegan and gluten free. Care was taken with the gluten free bacon sandwich.

I have been to Miijidaa many times and the food has been fantastic deserving of a 5 star rating. My last visit was horrible, our waiters name was Spencer. He was aggressive, slammed plates on our table and was rude. We ordered the Seared Halloumi as a starter and we were brought the Goat Cheese Dip. Thankfully our hostess was wonderful and eventually corrected this mishap by bringing this monstrosity. The pictures attached are of the Seared Halloumi that was brought to our table. An enormous thick slice of Halloumi. We also ordered the Potato pizza along with our starter and it arrived cold. A staggering down turn in food quality and hospitality.

Delicious food and a great variety! I mainly go to Miijidaa for their delicious artisan pizza specials and to spend a few hours at the cafe ( had way too many scotch eggs) to get work done. It can be a bit busy at times depending on the time and day of the week since its a popular spot, but I prefer the hustle and bustle when working. Their mocha latte is especially tasty!

One of our all-time favourite date night spots. Service is always fab. The cocktails cost your arm, leg and half of your torso - but they are always unique and delicious. Just prepare to spend a lot if you want more than one. My husband and I almost always share the pizza with prosciutto, drizzled in honey. Its our fave! The fries are seasoned so well, too. And bonus that its right down the street from NV (our go-to place to drink & dance on date night) so its perfect.

Went for a date night and were not disappointed! We had a hard time choosing from the menu, everything looked excellent! On top of that, the service staff were excellent! Well be back!

First and last visit to this place! It had been on my list to visit because of the high google ratings but turned out to be utter disappointment! We dined there and ordered what the waitress said was their best dishes. All the dishes had no flavour and were very small portions and overpriced for what you get!

Chicken sandwich was the best part, apart from that everything was okay. Fries had just way too much salt. Small portions and over priced. Good service, great ambiance.

One good result but also a slight disappointment amidst some weirdness. A week ago back in town and treated a friend to a light lunch. She enjoyed a salad that had everything I love in this. Good. Me? Not so much. The spritzy drink had a strange flavour of grass, and the soup: a very weird aroma of what I am extremely reluctant to describe as unwashed armpit. I KNOW! Ewwww! How could I say that to the poor server? So I just didnt consume it. I loved this place pre-pandemic. I will return, but in fervent hopes that the experimenter in the kitchen will be reigned in from their unnecessarily creative recipes.

Wow we were pleasantly surprised with the dishes; really EVERYTHING was delicious. Merciiiiiii to the chef, the dishes offered are of excellent quality, and special mention to Garett for having advised us on the choice of dishes, served with a smile and he even tried a few words in French. Garett if we could put more stars .. Great restaurant, go there you will not regret!

Great little spot with a laid back vibe and decent food. Apparently reservations are suggested though the place was sparsely populated when we came in for lunch. Up front there is a nice common table for students and aspiring novelists to work in a cafe atmosphere and there is an outdoor seating area that appears to be undergoing renovations. Looks like it will be nice when done. Definitely a place to revisit next time Im in Guelph.

We had a lovely meal. I had the pesto pizza which was amazing! My oldest (16) loved the roast chicken sandwich and youngest (12) enjoyed the cheese pizza. My husband loved the beef cheeks. Great pre dinner cocktails. The kids enjoyed the raspberry sorbet for dessert. The peanut butter chocolate pie was rich but not too heavy and my husband enjoyed his blueberry pie jar. Service was excellent. Great vibe.

Date brought me here for the first time. Was a lovely experience. We sat outside on a beautiful day, I ordered the peameal bacon sandwich and he got elk + pork. If you go here order the beef cheeks or smoked duck!! You won t need a knife with your beef because it literally falls off your fork and melts in your mouth. Just trust me. The duck is amazing! The barley as a side was so good I saved it and had it for lunch the next day. The service was fast, they re always so nice and have good recommendations. One of Guelphs hidden gems!

Great location and super friendly staff. The food was just ok. The cheese appetizer was rubbery and not enough crostini, fries were great. The pizza was ok, but not as good as other local wood fire locations. The vegan vegetarian burger fell apart. We probably wont be back.

Got the steak frites special, steak was cooked perfectly. Fries and the sauce to dip might be the best I have ever had. Great cocktails, nice inside and outside on the patio. All the food just tastes delicious and well made with good ingredients. Highly recommend this spot .

Very tasty food!

This is - hands down, and by far - the best food Ive had all over Canada (been to all 10 provinces). It easily rivals or betters food Ive had in Europe and the US at top restaurants. The food is creative, insanely delicious, and healthy. This food should be held as a standard of Canadian cuisine; it would raise the standard so high that our national dish of poo-tine would be forgotten altogether (unless, of course, this restaurant makes their own poutine...THAT I would look forward to). We live an hour and a half away, but we love IF Shoes, so my friend and I ventured to Guelph for a shopping day a few weeks ago. Miijidaa was conveniently right around the corner, so we decided to give it a try. Wow! It was the perfect choice! The food was delicious and our server was super accommodating (it was lunch time, but I was super hungry and not planning to eat again for the day). She made some suggestions and I couldnt have been happier with my full size pizza (so delicious I ate the whole thing). My friends lunch was equally amazing. Tomorrow, my husband and I are meeting up with some Guelph friends and the first place I suggested was Miijidaa! Well worth the drive!

The restaurant is so unassuming and was really great! First time... as we thought the cuisine would be Indian. But it was not .... a good mix of healthy options! Eclectic menu. Liam, our server, was very attentive. We will be back.

I came here for lunch with my work colleagues. We waited for 45 minutes before everyone s food finally arrived, except for mine. I sat there waiting for it to come, but after 10 minutes it still wasn t there. I had to remind the waitress about my order, and she said she would put it in for me right away (the order was not even in!). The waitress then came over and gave me a promotion certificate for $10 off my next meal (not even this meal). By the time my food arrived, all of my colleagues were done eating and I was eating by myself, making everyone late coming back. It was a terrible experience with poor customer service. I will not be returning to use my $10 promo certificate. That is completely unacceptable.

Is Miijidaa a Guelph institution? I think they are by now. Super tasty menu, always very fresh, the staff is good and typically quite on point. You can eat in the Cafe, restaurant, or patio, grab a book at the bookshelf and have a coffee and snack while you read. Good spot if you live in Guelph or come from out of town. There is something for everyone.

I have had many amazing visits to Miijidaa over the years. Unfortunately, tonight did not hit the mark. Our server was aloof, patio seating was very tight to those around us, and the seats were extremely uncomfortable. Worst of all though was the meal. They were out of the venison that was on the menu so it was substituted for a duck breast. I normally love duck breast but this one was inedible. It came out ice cold and drowning in oil. My wife and I both tried some but couldnt eat anymore of it. We left very dissatisfied. Were hoping this was just a one off night and our next visit will be as good us usual.

I ordered the pickerel and chips, it was delicious but the fries were overcooked and dry.

Vegetarian options: Lots of choices for those not eating meat. Food

Quick possibly the best burger (venison) and fries I have ever eaten! The soda of the day (blueberry, mint, lavender) was also delicious. Service was perfect (enthusiastic and friendly), and a really comfortable vibe to the whole place. I will definitely be back; its just a shame I dont get the Guelph as often as Id like

We went a few weeks ago but I still think about it and have recommended it to all the foody ppl in my life bc the food was incredible! We ordered the beef cheek boats (omg!), trout niçoise, fish and chips, pizza and venison + frites. Sadly they didnt have venison and they had to substitute with striploin. Gorgeous atmosphere and décor; service was great!! Cant wait to go back.

We went on a quiet Sunday night. The staff are friendly and the food is fantastic.

Unbelievable value. Fresh innovative and imaginative recipes using local game and produce. The fish and chips is off the charts; using pickerel is unique but a really nice taste. Why would you want to eat at a chain when you can support local. A little loud but the ambiance is really rustic and welcoming.

Great spot for a drink or a full meal. Our sit down dinner was nice, good service, food was unique and delicious. Only thing keeping from a 5 star is a cocktail wayyy too sweet and a gnocchi pesto a bit too much oil. Overall

We had an awesome meal on the patio on a warm fall evening. The service and atmosphere were perfect. Miijidaa is known for thoughtful twists to classic meals and they didnt let us down. The gnocchi had a wonderful mixture of flavours and textures. The chefs special was a pleasant mac and cheese creation. The proscuitto sandwich hit all the right notes. The dessert was fantastic too. We will definitely return! Vegetarian options: Well labeled menu for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

Miijidaa is my absolute favourite place in Guelph for food. Excellent, local menu, very friendly staff and great service. The vibe is very nice, theres rotating art on the walls. Just a great experience all around.

We visited our daughter at university and came across this place. Busy spot but we managed To get a tabke The squash soup was great,but portion was small The salad was great, and pumpkin bread was good Service was great Friendly waiter

Update: On a subsequent visit I tried their duck which was superb. Others at my table had the Elk burger. They were surprised by how dry it was....but Im not sure if that is surprising for Elk. The patio is a fair bit nicer than their indoor tables. Overall it feels their offerings run the full spectrum from dissapointing weird things that sound interesting enough to try to really nicely executed dishes. Original review: Love their fries. Super crispy. Love the attention to local food. Nice atmosphere, but voices seems to echo in here. Even with only a couple of other tables eating our room it seemed somewhat noisy. Very meat centric menu. They serve some atypical meats and odd cuts like lamb neck. Probably not a good idea for vegetarians. Which is fine, but they shouldnt offer veggie options if they cant make them worth eating. I tried a veggie burger. Crumbly and dry. Flavour, while not exactly terrible, was overpowered by the bun. Lamb neck was fine, but for the price, youd expect something amazing. Pizza has a pretty thin crust. In my books that puts it ahead of the Bread Bar for pizza. This is probably the best option if you want to eat veggie here.

The venison burger is unreal. If you like burgers, don t miss this one.

What a great find in Guelph. The food was delicious and the staff were really friendly. The atmosphere was casual but the food was 5-star!!

Unfortunately several things went wrong. Thankful for a comp meal. Elk was so tiny and so overcooked. Sent it back and got medium rare bigger portion but photo shows it was overcooked again. Server and hostess knew we had concert tickets and still didnt rush our 3 courses. We were late for the show. We also got the worst table at the kitchen exit (beside 2 baby strollers) and got physically bumped by staff constantly!!

Wow! Special occasion dinner did not disappoint. Highly recommend, for premier service, delicious food (Woodfired pizza, risotto w/ maple gastrique/ smashburgers). Fun non-alcoholic alternatives. Loved the connection to the bookstore next door, where we browsed. Baked brie & pumpkin bread were memorable starters. Vegetarian options: The butternut squash risotto was amazing, with crispy sage and kale chips! Menu clearly labeled with veggie options from a regularly rotating seasonal menu.
