The food was quite good however we were rushed throughout our entire meal. We were told immediately upon sitting that we had 1.5 hours to eat and leave. We could have lived with that but the servers were rushing to get our drinks, rushing to get our food orders, rushing to grab our dishes, rushing to order dessert, rushing to get us our bill. It was not relaxing at all. I am not an expert in how to move people through a meal at a restaurant but wouldn t staggering reservations or taking less reservations be smoother? I would recommend that the owners look at options.

The food here is excellent home casual food. Served very fresh and hot, flavorful, home style dishes. Not fancy but tasty. Like grandmas cooking. Its very loud though. My family and I couldnt enjoy a conversation at all. Food

It s a very small and kind of hidden gem in Guelph, I ve driven by it probably 1000 times and one day decided to try it and was not disappointed. The bruschetta as an app was the best I ve had! The main courses for me and my family were all amazing too. Service was quick and friendly!

INCREDIBLE!!! The food was so so soooo good last night. This was my first time eating at this restaurant. A good friend of mine had suggested this place for our girls night since her family enjoys going so much. No complaints at all. The food was so yummy we all devoured our dishes. I find the price is reasonable also for the food you re getting. $21 for the Fettuccine Carbonara which was a huge portion and probably the best pasta I ve had in a long time.. that s a steal of a price. Especially when fast chain places are selling low quality pasta dishes for the same price if not more. I highly recommend checking this place out!!

Incredibly beautiful little spot. The outer building is deceiving and hides a cute bistro style restaurant inside. Food was delicious and pretty reasonably priced. Wait staff was incredibly kind and did an amazing job checking in on us. Ill definitely be going again very soon!

What a great little spot! We came for lunch with a group of 4 and the food was excellent and the service was so friendly! I will definitely come back again! I have the chicken Caesar wrap with chicken tenders and it was excellent, the green brûlée was really smooth and my husband had the burger and really enjoyed it!

My partner and I heard a while back that Queens Cafe was great and we waited far too long to try, it was absolutely amazing. I am especially impressed because we ordered it for delivery which ofcourse isnt as good as in person but wow, so good. We will for sure visit in person when we can, but also wont hesitate to do takeout again. Highly recommend.

Ordered braised Beef short rib delivery on a friends suggestion. Most tender delicious piece of meat I ve tasted in awhile. Ordered dessert as well and it was very good, healthy portions of everything will definitely order again.

Excellent burger and fries!

We had gotten take out from here a couple times and really enjoyed everything weve tried from anijitos, the chicken avacado rolls, to pasta, and their homemade chicken fingers. We finally made it to try in person dining and it was amazing! The dining area has a really nice feel to it with the decorating choices and the chairs/booths are comfortable. They were extra kind to our 2 yr old during our meal, and offered a kids meal as an option to order being a smaller portion chicken finger meal for him. Our food was as expected, so good! Added chicken souvlaki to the list of items weve tried and its delightful as well.

Went with my family and had an amazing experience. The service was amazing and on the ball from keeping our waters topped up to closing the blinds when they noticed sun in my sons eyes. The owner and kitchen took special care of our children. The food was hot and delicious. Will definitely go back to try more menu items.

Hidden Gem! Highly recommend! My wife and I have come here for date nights before, we recently took the kids for dinner, and this will be a go to spot for intimate family birthday celebrations. Very reasonable pricing - especially for child portions. The food is fantastic. Servers were very responsive and went out of the way to make us - especially our young children - feel welcome.

Great fast service for takeout, their quality of food top notch. Their fish n chips . Sooooo good, staff are very friendly, recently moved to Guelph.. was surprised to find a lot of co- workers didn t know of.. check it out!

WANTED TO TRY THIS PLACE BC THE REVIEWS ARE SO GOOD. ORDERED A GREEK SALAD ON SKIP AND IT IS VERY DISAPOINTING

Hands down one of the best meals I have had anywhere last evening! We just made reservations yesterday with no problem. Started with the Greek salad. Delicious homemade dressing. Good size and split with my daughter. I ordered the Thai stir fry and added chicken to it, my daughter had the same and added shrimp to hers. Portion size was great and nicely presented. Said it was sweet and spicey but just a hint of spice. It was fantastic! My husband had the burger with fries and he loved it as well. We ended with the warm brownie with icecream and again split it, there was enough for 2 and very reasonably priced at $8. The decaf coffee came in a large mug and ended off a perfect meal! Our server Roxanne was very attentive even though the place filled up and she was the only server on, she managed quite well! I highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant and really glad they are back open for dining in! I hadnt been there since before the pandemic. Keep up doing a great job!

Our kids arranged takeout (due to COVid) for my friend and me for our birthdays. We had not been to this restaurant before so we were not sure what to expect. I had the beef tenderloin and my friend had the short ribs and a Caesar salad. The food was hot when it arrived and was cooked to perfection. They even added a creme brûlée as a birthday dessert. We will definitely come here or do take out again!

We were a group of eight that ordered a variety of entrees - pasta, souvlaki, stir fry, short ribs and fish and chips. All the meals were plentiful and very tasty. We also ordered different desserts - strawberry cheesecake, creme brulee, chocolate torte and brownie with vanilla bean ice cream. The portions were very generous and they were all delicious! Coffee drinkers enjoyed the French press they each got and tea drinkers were impressed with the size of the ceramic teapot. Presentation is obviously important to the owners; food and serving materials were all pretty! This place has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Definitely would recommend!

We ordered the 3 course New Years Eve dinner. It was amazing. Food was hot and well packaged. The customer service was great. It was a great way to say goodbye to 2020. I highly recommend.

The beef shortribs and chicken club sandwich were good. The CCS avocado was either in the sauce or missing.. the portions are small. I dont recommend the buttermilk chicken they tasted as if made from frozen. Overall its extremely over priced for what you get.

We ordered steaks for delivery Friday. I ordered the tenderloin and my husband ordered the rib eye. My tenderloin was AMAZING. I said med rare it was perfect. Mashed potatoes were good but veggies were underdone. I dont mind rawish veg so was ok for me. Husbands rib eye was tasty and tender as well done perfectly. We always try each others to determine who picked the best meal I won hands down, however, both were good. I only rated a 4* as the veggies were not great and the mashed potatoes were rather plain. Otherwise, would go to the Queens Cafe over the Keg any day. Really good tenderloin let me reiterate.

A much needed gem in this area of town; a neighbourhood lacking in dining options. The owners are friendly and never hesitate to come say hello at your table. The food is fresh; my friend said she d never had chicken tenders that tender (and she s from Portland, Oregon, known for it s food). The soups are clearly homemade along with everything else. All of my meals here have been excellent and the reason I m not giving five stars is because the portions could be bigger. That said, it s a place you can dine with confidence knowing you ll get a tasty meal, great service, and a nice family-friendly ambience. They accommodate everyone and make you feel like you re in their living room.

Ive eaten at the Queens Cafe three times now and every time it has been spectacular. First of all, they have the best fish and chips in town. Theyre not too greasy and the fries are perfection. I felt compelled to write a review today because yesterday my 8 year old son and I had a dinner date and the owner? Chef?, came over to our table to ask if we wanted a kids portion of his order (a smaller burger at a super affordable price). She also asked if he wanted some raw veggies on the side (cucumber slices and cherry tomatoes). I was thrilled with the customer service and the quality of the food. My family has gone for brunch before (I had steak and eggs. YUM) and it was an incredible experience as well. I also wanted to mention that its a really nice and cozy space so its perfect for a romantic date as well. Dont let all my talk about family make you think its not a sophisticated restaurant. Its just the perfect place for anyone!

The best place to eat in Guelph

My first visit, and a truly outstanding meal. Wifey and mother-in-law had the salmon, I had the rib-eye special, all cooked perfectly. Fresh veggies particularly impressive. Real class, but very small restaurant, you will need a reservation. I can see why take-out is packed particularly for lunch meals during the week. VERY highly recommended. We all loved it!

Queens Cafe is simply lovely. I went there with my fiancé and we enjoyed their quaint but cozy atmosphere. The service was fantastic and enjoyable. The food was to die for! Queens also offers gluten-free which was a bonus as I am allergic to gluten items. The bread is awesome! Both my meal and my partners were delicious and would most definitely recommend Queens Cafe to anyone out there looking for a good restaurant to eat at. Pricing was also decent and the amount of food is perfect. We will be back. And thank you Queens Cafe for having us :D

Creme de Brulee to die for!!!!!!!!! We had Prime Rib and Rib Eye Hu bby says Rib Eye was delicious and perfectly done; my Prime Rib was very tasty, not the melt in my mouth that I was looking for but still worth coming back for. The vegetables were absolutely tasty and would have enjoyed a few more. Tammy (Owner) came out to meet us - cheerful most welcoming. Place is dimly lit with jazzy music not noisy and an open kitchen atmosphere. Absolutely enjoyed the experience and will be back. Both meals with one beer 80.00.

Wonderful meal! It was our 50th anniversary and all high end restaurants were closed because of covid. We ordered the beef tenderloin for takeout and it was delicious. Looking forward to being able to go for eat in again.

I had never tried Queens Cafe and decided to treat myself for Mothers Day. The salmon with scallion risotto and grilled vegetables was absolutely delicious...risotto to die for...creamy and so flavourful!

Support Local: fave QC the much missed environment but ordered over the phone, to cut out delivery costs collected myself and ensured a decent tip on the bill. Shared the good fortune and want to keep these good folk in business. Chicken absolutely YUMMY! Roll on a vaccine so we can visit and linger and enjoy in house. Meanwhile....Slainte!

The Penne Pasta with sausage and red peppers was delicious! The Caesar salad was great too! It was our first time trying this place and let me say we will be back for sure! The lady who came out to the car for us to pay was so nice, she s definitely an asset to this establishment.

What a beautiful place. Food is great and the service terrific. We ve been here a few times and go bonkers for the Benedict. We came a little late on a Sunday and they were out of some breakfast foods, but only because they buy everything farm fresh and are sure to only buy what they will use. Love that, but make sure to go earlier than 1pm on a Sunday if you want breakfast!

Omg what a wonderful place! We went for the first time and where blown away. It was a for work dinner date with just our administrative staff, so pretty casual. The food beyond words, everything was perfect and so tasty. They where so careful for my food allergies, the staff was so friendly the owner she was so adorable, funny and kind. Small place and worth it. I am still dreaming of the brazed short ribs...will be back!

AMAZING chicken risotto dish! Definitely the star dish of the night. The shortribs were nice and tender too. Perfect portions (not too big). Nice friendly server, and the owner came around and greeted every table. Finished off with a delicious creamy strawberry cheesecake, which was made in-house. Definitely going back!

Always a great experience except last week, when my steak was over cooked, but the owner was awesome and very accommodating. I am going again tonight and looking forward to it. I would not hesitate to highly recommend! I have been for the weekend brunch, lunch and several dinners and the food is excellent and the service friendly and efficient.

Very nice experience on our first visit for breakfast. Casual but beautifully decorated and food was very good. Update: Returned for dinner and it was delicious! All four of us had something different and all of us thought it was fantastic.

Amazing! We had dinner there tonight with our 2 year old and we all had an awesome experience. My husband and I both had an unbelievable meal - the type of gourmet meal we never get at a restaurant where we can also take our toddler. And our daughter had an even better experience - the owner and the server were not only wonderful and playful with her but they went above and beyond with the meal they served her. I cant recommend this place highly enough!

Food okay but way too noisy!!!

Tasty, well prepared food in a comfortable atmosphere. A great little place. The burger was delicious, perfectly cooked patty in a wonderfully soft bun that didnt fall apart. Definitely on the list to return to.

Made reservations for 15 for the office and was overwhelmed with the great service. They did all they could to make us feel at home and the food was amazing!

Enjoyed lunch with some friends. All staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Coffee was great. Had the burger with side of butternut squash soup. Burger was seasoned wonderfully, and cooked nicely, very juicy. Soup was so creamy and flavorful. Only thing I wished for was a refill on my coffee. No one came around until we had finished paying.

Very nice place and friendly people. I had halibut and salad..halibut was deepfryes and done well... i would take a star away for the coffee..that wasnt good but i didnt go there fir coffee so 5 star

Great meal again tonight. This time I enjoyed their Thai stir fry with shrimp. Nicely balanced with just enough heat for my pallet. Dessert was their signature creme brulé.
