Great food and great service! Food is fresh. The salads are so so so good! I love how we can make the food as saucy and spicey as we like! Adding chicken to the salad amps it up a new notch! Instead of salad I sometimes will do rice or fries with the chicken.

The food here sucks in quality and taste. I dont run into many restaurants that do bad shawarma, but this place is a nightmare. The two medium chicken shawarma pizza special for Sunday was over 30 bucks. Not a special deal at all. Barely had any cheese or chicken on it. Chicken was so dry and looked like it was stored in the fridge for days. Innocent people wouldnt be able to tell because of all the sauce, but trust me, you can do much better. Overall, lacked any good flavour. Not worth even 20 bucks. The crust was decent. Crunchy. Place smelled musty and windows and tables were dirty. I dont trust the cleanliness of their kitchen. Luckily, my friends and I didnt get food poisoning. The guy at the counter was friendly, at least. Im going to Shawarma G next time.

Ive had pleasant times at Shawarma Alley the Harry Potter decor inspired shawarma spot tucked away in downtown Guelph on Macdonnell St. The food pn my visits and orders have always been delicious and well portioned. Its good shawarma though perhaps not like other places youre used to but I approve personally. Theres a good selection of meals to try and vegetarian friendly dishes not so much vegan friendly but its not trying to be is it. Honourable side/snack mentions would be their fries and baklava oh my goodness. The spot is quite modest space wise its not the largest but the space is well utilised and clean. Staff has been kind on my visits and generous dealing out portions. Shawarma Alleys Harry Potter-esque design of the store is wicked Im sure the magic community appreciate it and most likely youll be able to sit in and eat without issue if you want. Usually very quiet between orders and pickups. If youre looking for a big order for a family/group they have plenty specialty/platter deals on the menu you just dont see much these days. Nice to see. Youll find weekly deals available to dine-in or takeout and if you order for delivery I believe the usual places like uber eats and door dash usually offer the occasional BOGO free deal worth taking advantage of at times too. I can only speak on my experience but Im happy to visit and order again. Extremely Disappointing (1) I ordered a beef Swarma; and I did not smell any beef in it (2) One half of the Swarma was cold and the other part was little warm ! (3) while making the Swarma I noticed the staff was smelling the ingredients (may be he was checking if the ingredients were rotten or not) with his nose almost into there!!! (4) they keep cooked things in fridge and warm up those once an order is received. Does not serve freshly cooked. (5) most terrible drama is .. this restaurant has dine in facility but does not have a wash room; you cannot do number one or number two .. and you cannot wash hands. (6) It s extremely impractical.. may be they have chosen me to tell that they did not have any washroom. BUT I have almost spent 16 dollars ( sixteen) ! I am not sure for what extent of spending you willl be allowed to use the washroom or not.

Absolutely loved this shawarma alley! The meat was juicy, seasoned perfectly, and wrapped in warm, soft pita. Fresh veggies and the creamy garlic sauce made each bite delicious. Portions are generous, and the staff is super friendly. Great spot for a quick, tasty meal. Can t wait to visit again!

Tried this place out for the first time I ordered a large chicken shawarma on rice. It was very good. BUT It was kind of expensive compared to other Shawarma places in guelph. They really should start giving cans of pop with some of the food on the menu. Update: they are starting to give smaller portions when I order chicken shawarma on rice

first its not Arabic shawarma at all second its not real shawarma very very disappointed I spent 32 dollars for 2 wrap because I ordered it with Saj bread one chicken another is beef , honestly I couldnt eat it so throw in garbage Notice do not believe the good rate about this shawarma

Worst shawarma I have ever had. I came in and asked for a chicken shawarma plate and was met with a confused look. I had to explain that I was looking for chicken shawarma on rice, with sauces and a side salad (a pretty standard option at a shawarma place). After describing what I wanted I was still met with a confused looked and was told sure, I guess you can have a salad too if you want. I was thrown off by the confusion and once again explained what I wanted, they nodded and did there thing. The first thing I noticed that was off when receiving my order was the box was a narrow, single compartment take out box rather than a typical three compartment box where your hot rice and chicken would be in the large spot and your cold salad and maybe some hummus would be in the other two separated smaller areas. When I got home and opened it, I was met with a monstrosity of both the rice and salad mixed together all covered in garlic and hot sauce. The rice was overcooked, bland and cold. The chicken was cold and probably quite old and the salad was just drenched in garlic and hot sauce. I was hungry after a late soccer game and just wanted something to fill me and this was truly disappointing. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else if you enjoy food.

I do take in consideration that I went late at night but I was expecting a lot more meat for what I ordered it just barley covers the top of the food and for the cost I would expect more spending almost $14 for a small shawarma on rice it should not be that expensive for the meat ratio.also had to edit this but I was not expecting chunks of unions and tomatoes can t say I ve had that before in my shawarma but can t say I enjoy that

Just, Holy cow...I got the buy one get one chicken on the rocks through door dash...i cannot express how bad this meal was. No flavour, at all...you could not even tell it was chicken that you were eating..the portion size was pretty small in comparison to any other chicken on the rocks meals ive had from other places. Maybe it was a bad batch, but this order was probably the worst shawarma meal i have ever had.. which is unfortunate, as I heard good things about this place. Sorry, not again.

Ordered online, but they didn t start the order until after we were there. They then rushed the order. We ended up with an undercooked pizza crust, and dark burnt tasting fries. As well, we ordered cheese crust for an extra $4, but there was no cheese crust.

Placed an order for a Shawarma Pizza for delivery and when I received it is completely shocking. The smell was so bad that it almost made me vomit. Ive bought from this store before when they opened and the quality has went downhill completely. The past couple orders have all been completely bad. Previous order before this one was a Shawarma with rice where the rice was completely old and hard while the chicken was dry and overcooked. And before that was the same thing but the Shawarma was so damn salty that it could not even be eaten. I tried it giving another go with the Pizza today but I will not be ordering here again after another bad experience.

This place is a quick grab and go type place for shawarma. The food is okay, might be a bit too acidic but its alright for a quick bite. The staff are lovely and helpful but as you can see theres not much sitting space to actually sit and eat. Parking: Its in downtown Guelph, its hard to find parking anywhere unless youre lucky Wheelchair accessibility: Its on the ground floor but theres no accessibility access

Really great food, especially if you get it in a bowl. The wrap is impossible to eat without half of it ending in your lap. Had it twice already and both times I became covered in sauce. Not sure if they do them wrong, or if its the quality of the wrap. Not giving up on this place, but Ill be sticking to bowls from now on, because the food really is excellent, and the garlic sauce is to die for. Later edit: Shrinked the rating by one star, just like they shrinked the portion sizes.

Ill always have a preference for shawarma alley over all ther shawarma spots in guelph, especially because of the service here. The guy at the counter who served me, Raj, is a really nice guy and he helped me. I rely on his suggestions to get the best food from here with the best offers. I guarantee that everybody will get a great experience here.
