fries were so oily and stale at the same time, unflavoured gravy and cheese felt old. not worth the price, wasted money.

Fries have a bitter after taste, like they have been cooked in bad oil, gravy is all watery. Honestly, as a place that specializes in poutine, you guys are the worst that I have ever tried.

Zero taste , burnt fries, no flavour food.

I had placed an order on ubereats as I had a craving for the pulled pork poutine with extra pork . First of all it arrived still hot (only 10 min delivery) but when I opened it up, the fries were all dark and over cooked (not a single golden fry) it didn t look like extra pulled pork (like I had ordered), the pork was dry with little to no sauce, and barely any cheese curds in the poutine. I used to work for the company so was disappointed in the quality Vegetarian options: Veggie gravy is an option and will always have it available Kid-friendliness: Snacks portions are great for kiddos!

The double pork poutine was delicious and they add lots of toppings. There is a large variety of poutines and sides so there s something for everyone. The staff are also very kind and complete the experience. Would highly recommend trying at least once.

First time visiting and LAST, at least for this location. Ordered the largest size traditional poutine with EXTRA cheese and extra gravy. The amount of cheese on the poutine was sad, definitely not what I paid for. Waste of money, charged for xtra cheese and got the regular amount if not less.

Paid just under $30 for two items; Got the pulled pork poutine, tasted super old, you could literally feel how grainy it was and gravy and fries were pretty bad, it wasn t a nice poutine overall i tossed over half of it. Surprisingly, the chicken sandwich was actually pretty good. People working there were nice, i liked the wheel u can spin before u order to potentially win some free dip.

Watched the employee put his hand in his mouth 3 times to pick his teeth while talking on a headset the whole time. Never washed his hands, then when straight to making my food and grabbed toppings with the same hand, yuck. I walked out, didnt even want the food at that point. For your sake i hope you have a different experience. Cant really rate the food since i never ate it, but be warned. Reply to owner: I purchased a classic poutine May 31st at around 12-2pm for $15.80. I wasnt provided a receipt so I dont have the exact time.

My friends and I came in Monday night roughly 30 minutes before closing (Which we felt really bad about but were starving and craving poutine!) The worker there, Deep (Was the name we were given), was super friendly, helpful and full of energy that we for sure will be coming back in the future! Vegetarian options: Service is good, but the fact that fast food asks for tips is rediculous. I used to work in proper restaurant and got tipped out as a line cook, but a fast food place should already be paying minimum wage if not more. That being said, the food is fantastic and the service is great.

This place deserves nothing less than 5 stars. The food was amazing, the employee was friendly and knowledgable of the menu and its kept clean inside. If anyone is giving less than 5 star review than they are not a poutine fan because my friend and I have gone all over Canada trying poutines (poutine enthusiasts if you will haha) and smokes poutines are THE BEST we have come across. The portions are big and toppings get laid on heavy. Its a personal preference to leave a $5-10 tip everytime, great job guys !

This in no way reflects other locations . This place was super disappointing. After hearing good things about other smokes locations I figured we d try this one. Literally everything other than the French fries are microwaved, we were the only two people there and it took 25 mins to make two poutines because they microwaved each individual topping. It tasted horrible and I didn t even end up finishing mine.

Fries are fantastic, poutine is even better. Staff are very nice and helpful. And the atmosphere is fantastic with the great music and homey decor

A big fan of poutine, never ordered from here though. I was given a buy 1 get 1 deal from UberEats for their classic poutine. I dont know how to fully express my disappointment. The fries were rubbery and flavourless. The cheese curds taste of freezer and the gravy barely tasted like anything at all. Overall the poutine had more of a sugary flavour than a savory flavour. Im not sure what they do here but I will not be ordering again.

After the previous location in Guelph closed, I was excited to see a new on opening on Cork St! Stopped in for lunch today on their opening day, for a Buffalo Cauli-Ranch Poutine and was not disappointed! Great staff and great Poutine! Vegetarian options: I ordered the Buffalo Cauli-ranch Poutine!

Who im assuming was the owner was very kind and provided great service, food comes in big portions so you definitely get what you pay for Kid-friendliness: There was a family who came in shortly after me and the guy there was offering them sticker and told them that they could take pictures with the sign they had there

Love smokes in general and have visit this new location 4 times now and each time we have been disappointed - very cheap with their toppings/sauce, leaving the poutine very dry. Twice they have put the wrong toppings on (i.e. wrong sauce & put wrong veggies on the korean bbq). Most recent visit they overcooked the fries and again put the wrong sauce. Extremely frustrating paying for poutines that aren t made correctly and don t taste good. Unfortunately will not be visiting this location anymore

Normally I love smokes poutine, but this location is doing something wrong. Ive been to this location 3 times and each time something is done incorrectly. I cant justify spending so much money for such bad quality. Just a warning to those thinking about going. This location is NOT a good location.

I got the tarter tots poutine meal size and I have to say for 15 dollars(should be like 10) I know as a x restaurant owner at 10 there still making good money. Im very disappointed the wow size for 15 makes sense the tots should be crisper after they put the cheese and gravey on the tots it becomes tiny potatoes cover in gravey doesnt taste as good the 6 tots on top are amazing and crispy. Will I go back not sure

Making love to this avalanche poutine

My hubby and I just spent $50 on two of the meal poutines. Not only were they significantly smaller than we thought they were going to be, but they were beyond salty. Also, the poutine/topping/gravy was leaking out the top of the boxes and it made a huge mess. Really disappointed in the quality of the poutines, especially for the significant price we paid. Not going back ever again.

The food, thats all youre here for. I definitely prefer their fries, not too dried out but not sludge either. I dont know anyone who misses the 70s and 80s enough to eat in.

The quality of the food is great, everything tastes lovely. I got the cheeseburger poutine or whatever its called with tator tots and popcorn chicken. Its was nice and hot and very well done. The quantity for the food for the price it costs is a whole other ball game. Portions and packaging are very small for an insane price. $20 for a poutine and you can get more from a dairy queen poutine for $8. I spent $50 on delivery for just 3 items.

I will never attempt to eat here again, and hope it does not reflect on other smokes poutine locations. Ordered the usual double pork which I have had probably 30 times in the past (been awhile have lived away from a location for a few years) and when I first got my order I thought something was wrong. More than half of the fries were thinner, and felt overcooked compared to before when it always tasted good so I reluctantly complained and got another order done up. Exact same thing not worth $17 at all when I asked the worker if they changed potatoes or something I just got attitude I was not rude either.

With Smokes having comeback I actually believed it would be decent again and was excited! Congrats on the return! That is unfortunately the only good that came out of my order last night, as what I ordered came out like it was made by crackheads still. Yeah so what came was basically frozen fries like it was flash fried by a DiY heater you could buy from Walmart, the chicken was less than subpar which is an incredibly low bar that isn t that difficult to do and the cheese was frozen to the point you could use them as ice cubes. Save your money you if you re expecting it to be good again because it s not and that is disappointing.

I really wish i read the reviews before coming here. I used to love smokes in guelph when i was younger and hadn t had it since it came back, i got a free poutine coupon and was so excited to go eat it remembering how it felt to eat one a few years back. I was so wrong to think that the quality would match when the place probably gets 0 customers at this spot in Guelph. Immediately eating it the first thing we thought was that they tasted like the fries had been left in the freezer for so long that they were freezer burnt after cooking them. I could ve gotten two poutines from Harveys for the price i paid for one regular poutine, hopefully i never make this mistake again The worker was super nice though i think she was actually shocked at the fact that someone walked in. Hopefully this is just a one off experience

First time. Ordered a Buffalo poutine and the fries were barely cooked and the cheese was not cheese it literally was like plastic... worse poutine I ve ever had and so expensive for such a horrible poutine.

I thought I would order the Wow and large order of boneless chicken to have left overs. $42 with delivery and tax and whatever. The fries tasted like they been cooked a long while ago ( wasnt fresh at all. The chicken came in small containers with 4 wee pieces in each.... Glad I tried it though cause now I know never to again.... Maybe it was because I ordered before closing and it wasnt the freshes ?

First time at this Smokes Poutinerie location since I moved to Guelph. The store was very clean and well maintained. Their poutine had a great presentation and were delicious, fresh and tasty; although I think that they were a little too salty (my wifes and mine). Despite that, I will definitely come back for more. Fully recommended

Horrible experience with this place tonight. Number 1 - they pay for a phoneline that sounds horrible, it is about as effective as a cup and string. B - They show items online in their SkipTheDishes (I hate using this for what its worth) that are not available. They as the store have the availability to take things down when they are low on an item. Dont allow an order to go through, okay it, and then cancel it after. This circles back to the phone line, I tried to call the store to place an order and ask what they do have in stock. I hoped Fries/Gravy/Cheese was the case, but when they answered I couldnt hear the person on the other end. Fix your phone, fix your menu.

YUM! Never been to one before & we spotted this eatery while in the area at a brewery, we just had to try it. Yummy but a little low on the curds & we weren t about to pay for extra, but still great. All of us enjoyed the flavours & our bellies were happier for it. Busy place but tons of space to hang back, distance & wait off to the side. Quick service, even though there was seemingly only one employee working.
