I ordered on Uber of channa bhatura and ask them to make channa puri instead of bhatura if they can. They accepted it. But to be honest, puri is like cruncy papad like hard type . They literally don t know how to make puri. However, mix pakoras were best.

Ordered delivery, so I wont comment on the service or atmosphere. Ordered butter chicken and received a sugary tomato soup (almost equivalent to something out of a SpaghettiOs can) with about 8 pieces of chicken, for $19. Next time, Ill take some of that cash for gas money to somewhere actually authentic in Brampton/Mississauga.

I had been working in the same plaza for a while, salivating over the aroma, and finally ordered a bunch of food for takeout for Valentines dinner. Not at all disappointed! My wife and I both agreed it was some of the best Indian cuisine we have had. Lots of flavour and the right amount of hot. Will be back for sure!

We order from Bollywood frequently and are never disappointed. Butter chicken, chicken and veggie pakora ,along with garlic nan is our usual. Very reasonable for a family of 4. Happy to support this business. Perfect spot and convenient in the east end of Guelph.

I dont eat here as frequently since they left downtown, but I treated myself today and even tried new to me items on the menu and it was all as incredible as I remember! And fresh!! The only good Indian Restaurant in Guelph. Any mewcomers to guelpj, do not go anywhere other than this restaurant. I have tried food from all other restaurant but only this restaurant seems good to me. If you like extra spicy food, tell them, they will make it really extra spicy which is really good. Ordered, veg Manchurian Palak paneer Malai kofta and naan. A very big letdown on veg Manchurian as it was literally pakoda dipped in sauce. Manchurian has round balls and this had pakoda shape with Besant filling... Strange looks like chef taught the cooks differently... Again Malai kofta has just 3 pieces and kofta made from potato... Where did paneer go ? Major let down from whoever the chef is ... The food needs to improve and yes nothing authentic.. try another restaurant in Guelph if you can..

My husband and I get butter chicken from here frequently. At least a couple times a month lol. Usually I call in our order, but today was a spontaneous choice and we ordered when we got there. The waitress knew my name as soon as I walked in. The food is always good and served in a timely fashion. Staff is super friendly. This is our go to place and we will definitely return.

My recent visit to Bollywood Bristo in Guelph, Ontario was an incredibly disappointing experience that left me with a bitter taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. The waitstaff appeared overwhelmed and understaffed, leading to long waits and a complete lack of attentiveness. Moving on to the food, I must say that it was a major letdown. The menu boasted a wide array of Indian dishes, but the execution fell short. The flavors lacked depth and authenticity, and the overall presentation was lackluster. The dishes arrived lukewarm, suggesting poor kitchen management. It seemed as if the food had been hastily prepared and lacked the attention to detail that is expected in a decent restaurant. Got dinner here for the first time on Friday. They got busy very quickly, especially with take out orders. We ordered a lamb korma, chicken tikka masala with rice and naan. The food came out a bit slow but it was busy with only one person serving. The food was delicious, the server was super friendly and willing to answer all our questions. Would definitely recommend going.

Very dissapointed with the consistency of the food. Ordered takeout 3 times the same dishes and they were wildly different every time, and not in a good way. The butter chicken tasted like canned tomato sauce and the lamb korma was great the first two times but this time it had no taste of cashews. At first it was full of flavour, now it was just spicy and bitter. Cant trust that. Very sad since I had high hopes for this restaurant.

Love it! Definitely the best Indian food in the area. Nice staff, clean and bright environment, can be full without being noisy, also the Bollywood Bazaar next door has cool groceries and treats. They are all super super nice, have taken out and eaten in there many times in both the old and current locations. Everything is on point, prices match the food quality, very good. I recommend anything from the Tandoori menu, splendid stuff.

This is the BEST Indian food. It s my absolute favorite place to order takeout. And the girl that s always at the front working hard is SO NICR!

I don t like to give bad reviews but the attitude of the server prompted me to do so. Myself and my sister wanted to have lunch . We were actually looking forward to having lunch there but as soon as we walked in the sever looked like she had just woken up her clothes were dirty , she was not pleasant at all there was a little girl there walking around barefoot I believe it was someone s daughter tht worked there , someone walked out of the kitchen and sliding door did not shut I m not sure if it was the chef or who he was but was wiping his sweat, we had already ordered tea and we re waiting for our sister to join us but after seeing what we saw we decided to cancel the order and had to walk out , When we go into a restaurant we want a nice ambiance or at the least someone to greet us well good customer service goes a long way. We totally lost our appetite . We have been to many Indian restaurants this by far was the worst I had ever been to. And this experience has put us off . Pls treat yr customers well and please be more presentable don t leave yr child sitting there barefoot.

If there was a zero rating that s what I would be giving this restaurant. Was I ever shocked the moment I walked in to this restaurant. I would call it more of a take out/cafe type place. For an Indian restaurant, there was lack of ambiance. The very very strong smell of the spices ( I left smelling of masala as if I d been in the kitchen). The only one waitress was miserable and looked as if she had just gotten out of bed. Her attire was dirty. Her attitude was blah. Ordered masala chai and asked if they did Aloo Paronthas. She looked at me as if I spoke a foreign language and than proceeded to tell they only serve what s in the menu. Fair enough. I had my sister from out of town we thought ok no worries. We will have tea and some starters. Than she asked if we still wanted to proceed and order the tea. I said yes we do. She turned round and said, and I quote for take away than ? . I was in awe. That s when I decided that s it. We don t want to dine here. If your front serving staff are that miserable wonder how my food was going to be. Oh and the kid, which I believed was the waitresses was running around barefooted moving the chairs around causing a ruckus. The waitress was telling her other half I guess who came from the kitchen to take care of her. Family run restaurant maybe but please. I also have to have to mention about the chef who was sweating buckets in the kitchen in plain view which was our que and had to leave . I left baffled and mind blown. Never have I ever witnessed or been treated this way. Sadly I had to write this.

Being indian I know the difference between good food that has Been cooked fully. I took alu Gobi home for My parents .I was so disappointed with the taste as the masala was raw, and the potatoes were half cooked .the same full this is that my parents are in there 80s and they could not eat the food ,since I came from cambridge it was too far to come back. I had to get food from cambridge. I know the owner probably wont respond to my concerns but i do hope he checks the quality of the food he is selling. Otherwise I dont see this restaurant being in business long

The samosas are the best Ive ever tried!! I come from out of town to get these and they are made fresh to order!! They have the perfect amount of spice and potatoes theres a nice amount of peas also Im just not a huge fan of peas wish they had ones without peas!! But really Id suggest this place to everyone ik!!

Our favourite Indian restaurant in Guelph! Highly recommend the appetizer platter. Our favourite vegetarian curries are the palak paneer, dal makhani and shahi paneer. Have yet to eat in but love getting takeout from here. We make rice at home but appetizer platter, 2 curries, 2 naans makes for at least 4 meals. Great value.

Tonight I didn t get my order because of great confusion with Uber but the restaurant did everything they could to make it right. The server was welcoming and polite. The only turn on would their appetizer plater and garlic naan (like 5/5). As much of delicious as that was the main course disappointed me with gravies of Soya Chap Masala and Chicken Tikka Masala tasting exactly the same.

Update from July to now. I used to like this place for the lunch special but it seems like they are reheating frozen food, its not fresh. Look at the desert photo my spoon is bending that dessert. The Gulab Juman should be soft and fluffy.

It was nice experience but the food has so much added colors in it that we have some side effects of it.. otherwise taste was good... Garlic naan was very soft,on the other side, sabji is little bit sweet though we asked for medium spicy...

The service was very good from Pooja. She was very patient and she did get the food as per our request and offered a nice indian beer as a side that tasted even better with the appetizers. The biryani was filling with flavors and its nice to go again.

I just finished my butter chicken that I got through UberEats and OH MY WORD that was absolutely DIVINE I am not kidding. The best I have ever had. Massive portion, just deilcious. Cant wait to visit in person!

I ordered malai kofta from this restaurant and had a huge expectation but got disappointed after tasting it, kofta was made of only boiled potato no paneer in it and there was no taste in it. Even the gravy doesn t taste good.

As a name suggest Bollywood Bistro, I went to have fancy food items but they had same name like all normal restaurants have it but I would like to say taste was really good and especially biryani and veg pakora.

I had the butter chicken and Shai paneer with Reg. And garlic naan. It was amazing. I think for most people mild hot is good but if you like spice then go for the hot. They were fast with the food and supper nice as well.

Our first time at the new location and it did not disappoint. Pooja (Puja) is a firecracker getting our order right and the taste of it was phenomenal. We started with Fish Pakora and the delicious fish and very thin batter, with spices, was a pleasant surprise. The Onion Bhaji is great and my wife enjoyed it a lot. My main course was Matar (Mutter) Paneer which I ordered mild. I have had this meal in various Indian restaurants, the chef has a special flavour of spices that make the peas and cheese stand out. It is, of course, the delicious mix of the gravy that elevates this dish. We also ordered naan, which was properly cooked, not over done or burned. The Kashmiri Pulao rice is an absolute must to try, at first I was not sure about it, but the fruits and raisins together with the crunch of cashew made this one of my discoveries. The meal is more than enough for two and have two or three days worth of lunches and small dinners. We had ordered before when they were downtown but I felt comfortable and in no rush to enjoy the meal. I could, however, not believe how busy takeout and meal delivery services were. A constant stream of food came out of the kitchen. Next time it is Biryani time, you better believe it :-)

I hope they can make enough to buy there own place one day with a larger setup and more decorations. I believe that will bring in more customers to enjoy the dine it setting and boost that income. Ordered lamb saag, chicken biryani, naan bread, and chicken korma this past week for the first time. Great food! I asked for mild spiciness and they delivered! It was definitely tolerable and very tasty. They also provide a good amount of meat pieces in the curries and biryani. They dont cheap out. Overall, really good food (And I am Indian, used to eating home-cooked indian food). So that says a lot! I would order from them again and I hope their food stays consistently good! :D

After going through five different Indian restaurants in Guelph, Bollywood has become my weekly go to. They are fast, efficient and they are very accurate(something 90+% of restaurants in Guelph cannot say). There food is good quality and reasonably priced. I wish they had online ordering, but this is my only negative.

They did catering for our event of 30 people. Excellent service - On time delivery as promised, very very tasty food - we ordered mix veg pakora, fish pakora, chicken korma, lamb curry, dal makhani, jeera rice , Naan, raita and gulab jamun. All guests loved the tasty food and the quantity was also very good. Keep it up guys..You definitely have earned more customers .

Pleasant eat-in experience, and very pleasant server/owner. Had the vindaloo chicken, seeking hot but manageable (with pacing), and was not disappointed. Flavourful and rich. They have 3 beers on tap, which was a nice surprise. They have moved locations in the past 10 months to be more East end. Wishing them every success. I ll be back.

We tried the new York Rd location - the food was delicious (especially the lamb korma, probably the best I ve ever tasted) and the service was great. The restaurant itself is clean and has a nice decor, but the ambiance is pretty sparse and small. If you re looking for a date-night Indian restaurant, there are others in town that more suitable (eg Fusion, Spice Roots).
