Never disappoints. Bacon wrapped keg sized filet with blue cheese and garlic topping is the tea for me. Make sure to ask for their horseradish on the side - it is wasabi grade mind blowing goodness. Tread carefully if you are in doubt of your tolerance. Worth the journey.

Went for dinner with a 6pm res on July 26. Advised of dairy allergy. Place was pretty accommodating. Bread was very delayed. Tables that arrived after got priority, as kitchen didnt want to make the alternate to butter. Steak was way over seasoned, borderline inedible. Cooked pretty good for medium Rare. Found out after the fact, this place blends canola oil with olive oil in a cost cutting attempt, did not disclose. they put this blend on the steaks, veggies and most foods. Ive been sick all night from dairy or canola blend reaction, in the lemon charred broccolini more specifically, despite being told there was no butter. Tasted off, left a nasty aftertaste in my mouth. Stomach still rumbling 16 hours later. Server was good, a little excessive in the loud laughs tho. Both managers did their best to monitor for diet restrictions. most likely will not return as its clear they missed the mark in some aspects. If Im paying $300 for two steaks that I can make for $60 at home, I would expect better service. Update: Per corporate response, Ive followed up three times, without a care from anyone that this location. Absolutely pathetic.

We go about every 6 months. Its a nice family outing. Always great food and kind servers. They accommodate my 4 year old, whether it be asking her questions or giving her something to colour.

Ate there Saturday evening...20 minute wait for seating....bread and Caesar plus beverages arrived within 5 minutes of seating....main couse arrived within 10 mins of finishing salad..... we had 2 NY strip loins medium ..one with garlic mash the other double baked...outstanding melt in your mouth steaks...perfectly cooked...sweet beets and green beans and veggies...Billy miner pie the dessert.....Best service at any Keg we have ever had...waitress service outstanding Parking: Guelph

Been here lots, its always good. We get prime rib seared quickly on one side and tuna tartare, bread with the cheesy butter, plus a pitcher of the red wine sangria to share. Its the best combo, and they are always accommodating to our weird requests.

Hadnt been to the Keg in Guelph before. The food was top notch - the service the same. One of the things I like most about the Keg - its consistently good and it doesnt matter where you go!

Food was absolutely amazing!!!!! Peppercorn new york steak was cooked to perfection and hot when served. Dont miss trying the Gruyere mushroom dip as an app. Delish!

Took my mom here for her 85th birthday and we are all happy with the services and the excellent steaks. The foods looked & tasted so good I totally forgot to take any photo The complementary birthday ice cream, Billy Miner Pie, was the best!!! Our server Ashton was positively delightful. Attentive, intelligent and added to our evening meal with charm and humour. We ordered escargot immediately and a bottle of Ruffino. Prime rib and a teriyaki sirloin were both cooked to our liking and Ashton came through with sharp knives. (The steak knives we were originally given would not cut the green beans) So... if management would maintain good knives, more people would appreciate their meal. Enough said. Well definitely return and request Ashton as our server and probably order exactly the same choices.

We stopped by for the Keg Nachos as theyre the best of all nachos weve ever had. We sat in the bar and our server Katie was AMAZING. She was so personable and you could tell she really enjoys what she does. Only gave 4 stars for the food as shrinkflation is also in the restaurants. I recall the portion being much larger, but now, smaller portion and higher price.

I went for my birthday on July 16th all the staff was amazing as well as our super amazing waitress Ashton I had the French onion soup to start and its always amazing there and then for main course I had a 12 sirloin and twice baked potato(I recommend everyone trys it its to die for) my steak was cooked perfectly and the billy miner pie was amazing thank you to everyone at the keg for a amazing birthday dinner

We found the food over priced my grandson and I had the prime rib it was not that tasty but was very fatty, my grandson only had half the serving after the fat was cut off.With the onion rings you maybe get 6 or 7 not worth the price. Then the bread was very hard even though it was free bread it was not the best.I am glad we had won gift cards because I would not have paid $225 for 3 people to eat there.

We are just back from a lovely anniversary dinner at The Keg. The food was certainly five star as were the drinks. Our steak were done to perfection. But, what made it such a wonderful experience was our very personable server, Brendan. He was friendly and professional. We had a nice surprise of a takeout piece of cheesecake on the Keg. Enjoyable evening.

Came here for my grandmothers birthday. I have celiac disease (must eat gluten free). Staff were knowledgable and understanding and gluten free items were clearly marked on the menu. Staff made sure to notify the kitchen and ensured my meal was safe. I got the filet mignon and it was 10/10. Wedge salad, and twice baked potato were delicious. I had no reactions and will definitely be returning! This is a place I feel is both safe AND delicious. Dietary restrictions: Can totally accomodate for celiac disease / gluten free eating! Gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu and the staff are well versed on which items are safe and spoke to the kitchen to ensure no cross contamination occured. Wonderful experience and insanely delicious food!

I celebrated my birthday at The Keg and had a wonderful experience. The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was delightful. My mother enjoyed two succulent lobster tails, and my sister savored a perfectly cooked steak. Their dishes were visually appealing, but my choice, the bacon burger, was somewhat disappointing. Although the burger itself was ok, the accompanying fries were scant and seemed overcooked. For a $24 burger, I expected a more generous and well-prepared side. Despite this, the mocha cake was a standout, truly exceptional. I would gladly recommend The Keg to friends for its overall quality and ambiance, but Id advise against the burger.

After years of consistent service and good quality, our last two visits have been disappointing. Last night it was an hour for food, the prime rib was extremely fatty (1/4 of the cut) and a poor cut, and the vegetable option was tasteless. The service was friendly but untrained and awkward, all the tables around us had issues with food and complained - underdone, orders confused, etc. We will try a neighbouring city Keg next outing.

Ned was absolutely outstanding. My daughters came to Guelph for Mom Day early and wanted to take me to the Keg which has always been a favourite for my husband and I. Billy Minor Pie and a special Coffee. Unfortunately he has been going thru a rough time dealing with cancer and the journey overwhelming. Not being out for a while, Ned truly made my day along with my daughters. His Mom should be proud. Terrible food. I would have to compare it to low grade restaurant. First time Ive been to Guelph, usually go to mississauga or Oakville. Mushroom Neptune tasted Microwaved. Steak was terrible. Server not once asked how our food was. Didnt ask if we would like anything else. Billy Miner Pie had freezer burn on it. Overall terrible experiance. Even the fries tasted Stale!

Always a great time spent at the Keg in Guelph, or any Keg for that matter. Recent outing for a date was here and everything was fantastic as usual. Food always cooked extremely well and drinks always delicious. However this time the server took a little longer then usual to come by our table, and he forgot to ring in an item for my order ( which is unusual and definitely a first for this location ). Having said that mistakes happen as he was more the apologetic and got me the item faster then it took me to ask for it. All in all a great evening, but even just a simple pass by comment of sorry Ill be right with you to acknowledge we are there would be appreciated and just a few more check ins on the meal and table are my only recommendations.

The food (steak and shrimp) was amazing. The real reason we wanted to leave this review was to say how amazing our server, BRADEN, was. He was professional, polite, very very attentive (even though the restaurant was packed), and had a good sense of humour. In the post-COVID era, where establishments are having a hard time keeping staff and therefore service has been severely lacking everywhere, this experience with having not just good, but GREAT service, was very refreshing and enjoyable. Thank you Braden for also making double sure with the kitchen that our food was nut free. My only complaint is that it was loud in the restaurant because it was so busy and we were hoping for a more quiet, relaxed evening (but we did go on a Saturday night, so kind of our fault :-))

We reserved a large table for about 15 people (the table was for the day before Valentines Day). we sat in the lobby for close to half an hour, waiting for the table to be ready. Once we got to the table we got bread and drinks and ordered our food, which all took about 2 hours, then we got our food. My burger had a bit of a burnt side to the patty, but other than that, it was good. One party member had to take their 5 years old child home when the food arrived because the child was exhausted and it was way past their bedtime, so they got their food to go. Usually, the keg is good, but it was really busy, and Im sure theyre understaffed. Maybe the owner/manager should hire more people, or maybe we shouldnt have big fancy restaurants open during a recession when they cant adequately server their customers. Im just glad I ordered the cheapest and most calorie dense meal on the menu because the steaks the other party members got were not the best quality from what they discussed with me.

Not impressed last night at all. The service was great, the food on the other hand was less than acceptable. The medium rare steak was literally pouring out blood and room temperature. The shrimp and scallops that make up the Sirloin Oscar were insanely small, rubbery and tasted freezer burned. Since when are beets served with steak? There was almost more beets than steak. For the ever increasing prices at The Keg, and decreasing quality of food, I can safely say I will not be back. We waited over an hour for entrees and this is all just disheartening.

This place is impossible to get into without a massive wait time. What is the point of a reservation if you still have to wait and absurd amount of time. Between that and the snotty front desk with a massive attitude.

FABULOUS! My boyfriend and I went for dinner tonight and had a fantastic night. The main reason we wanted to be sure to write a review was because of our outstanding service from Brandon, he was probably one of the best waiters I have ever had! Food was delicious as usual, overall a perfect way to spend our anniversary!

We had New Years Eve dinner at The Keg last night. We have been to this location multiple times and it s always great. This time, we sat in the bar area for the first time and the atmo was great! Ned was our server and he was attentive and hilarious. Good job Ned!! Quick edit: the only thing I wish was different was the veggies with the steak. Usually it s peppers and zucchini or something and this time it was beats and broccoli yuck plz bring back the peppers!!!

Came here for a casual apps at dinner time. We ordered just apps and one alcoholic beverage between two adults. We did not feel like eating an actual course meal. We could see the waitress was not impressed with our order. One of the apps we ordered was not great in taste. Did not see our waitress after our apps were served and her asking how it was before indulging in each app. I wanted to let her know about the one app, however; by the time she circled back, we were ready to leave. The tip was below avarage due to the service and app. We usually eat at the keg once a month, and we order apps, main and dessert with a few drinks. Service is great, and we tip above average. We were disappointed with her service.

Even on NYE, service was still quick and food was hot and delicious.

Maybe we just had a bad day at The Keg, but the steak was not what to expect. It was over cooked and chewy, probably because it was not fresh. One steak came raw, not even seared. Not sure if that was intentional or not, but lefts give it a benefit of the doubt. Ambience is nice, and the waitress was a delight. Still, I will think twice going there again anytime soon - and I am a Keg fanatic!!

My partner and are both ppl of colour and we dined here on September 6th. The food was great especially the baked brie and our waiter Tyler was ok too. But tell me why we were seated near the bathroom, in a nearly empty dining area? And on top of that 5 other couples (all white) came within an hour of us being there and they got to be seated in the nicer dining room! I felt racially profiled and when I spoke to the manager about it he said he noticed that too! As a manager thats your response? Nice going! The entire atmosphere here was unfriendly and this is from someone visiting from a different city. I have never had this experience at the other Kegs I visit in Toronto.

Best part - Dining at Keg yesterday was amazing as always because of our server, Paton. We were so happy to see her again and this was the 2nd time Paton was serving us. Her smile is so infectious and it was such a pleasure talking to her. Also, we loved how she surprised us, at the end of our meal, with a celebratory cake. Thank you Paton for taking good care of us. Keep up the amazing work. Worst part - our steaks were not cooked properly. It was lukewarm and my husbands prime rib didn t look cooked but it tasted fine which is why we didn t send our food back. But unfortunately the very next day, my husband got a really bad stomach ache and was in a lot of pain. The Billy Miner pie was also very soft to the point the ice cream was melting. Not sure if that s the consistency but Ice cream is supposed to be a little bit harder than a soft serve! I am so surprised this happened for the first time. So please take extra precautions to ensure the meat is cooked properly because we love coming to the Keg for steaks.

Came back a year after the below review, and our server (Sophia) was fantastic! The place was absolutely packed all night, but we never felt like shed forgotten about us or left us behind. Previous review: Had our staff Christmas dinner here the other night. Reservation for 12 was painless, our servers were accommodating and helpful especially of dietary restriction and food allergies and the dining room is probably one of the nicest places in town. Will definitely be bringing the whole team back next time. Dietary restrictions: The kitchen baked some of our sides that would normally have been fried to avoid cross contamination with a food allergen.

For the last few years, we have really enjoyed having a New Years Eve dinner at the Keg. The service, food, atmosphere has been fantastic. This year we have been told that we cannot have our dinner here, with our friends and family, because our party is too big (9 people.) Apparently this is a new policy. We are very disappointed as we have made it a habit to celebrate a number of things each year at this establishment (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) We called Milestones, they were happy to take our business.

Great place if you want to eat something. The steaks are delicious. If you want to sit there, I suggest you book a seat in advance.

Tonight we book for 8:45 a party of 20. We had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation because the host said people were taking longer then expected to leave. Then once being seated and after ordering our for we have to wait any 40 minutes to get our food. To add to all of this we had to ask for bread just to hold us over till our food came. This was honestly the worse service we have ever received.

We were there for our anniversary on Friday and the service and food were both exceptional. We had a young lady named Payton serving us and she was a pleasure. We keep coming back because we are never disappointed.

Great place, we usually go their with a big group and they accommodate us very well. Service, food, drinks and the vibe is always good. Chef fry in their kitchen is a master of cooking steaks to perfection. Highly recommend you go try it out.

We love this location and usually celebrate our anniversary here. The kids know they are in for a great meal. My daughter even gives a thumbs up for the chicken fingers. Lol. There is nothing bad to report on the Guelph keg location. Kid-friendliness: We havent had any issues with staff for bringing the kids. Crazy kids. We all love the food. They have crayons and coloring for the kids.

Service is what makes the difference for me. The food was excellent. Appetizers were very good. But the service was outstanding.

Jack was an excellent server, he took our dining experience very seriously and thank you as well to alana who came out to check allergy specifics. An easy 5 stars for jack and alana, would recommend to anyone.

I dont often eat steak, but the occasion was a family gathering, so I made an exception. The meal was very good, along with the service and the dining atmosphere.

The waiting was poor at best and the food was mediocre. We were greeted with a waitress that simply didnt want to wait on us. She wasnt the most pleasant when we were choosing our bottle of wine. She checked up on us once to make sure we recieved our meal, and then a second time to issue our bill. During our meal, a Male waiter had to help my partner with rectifying her meal and another female waitress had to come along to clear some of the plates and cutlery while we were eating. We saw our primary waitress twice. It was our primary waitress and our mains that were the problems. The manager DID do his best to make it right by offering a $50 gift voucher for our next visit. But Im not sure Im willing to pay over $200 for that experience again. We had a bottle of wine ($40), French Onion soup, and Escargots to start. We had the salmon dish and lobster tails for our mains. The bright side is that my partner enjoyed the French Onion soup, and my Escargots were good as well. (Again) The mains were the problem. The Salmon was extremely dry and be simply honest........the lobster tails were just really small. I felt obligated to write this review because I have had challenges the last 2 visits and I have given the Keg the benefit of the doubt. But after receiving the bill ($180 + 15% which she didnt deserve). I couldnt bite my tongue again. For an upscale restaurant. You can do better.

This is one of the cleanest kegs around. Exceptional staff. Always my go to keg.
