Their signature burger pattie has changed from beef to pork and sawdust! This pile of goop is barely eatable!!

I had a Eggs Benadic and it was delicious and definitely one of the best plus it came with 3 eggs instead of 2.The service was great and the price was great. Parking: There is a parking lot just up the street

Food - I ordered the classic Wimpies burger and fries ... Something iv had many times in the past at various Wimpies locations and its been a hit next to the breakfast offerings. My burger patty was a smelly dry slab of what appeared to be thawed freezer burned meatloaf with a wilted piece of iceberg lettuce. In one bite I could tell my burger had been in a freezer for probably years. I also noticed my fries had been prepared in oil that had been used many many many many many many times. (or the fryer itself desperately needs to be cleaned) I got all of this food that I wasnt going to eat for $22. If I hadnt ordered takeout Id have shown this to my server. Based on the number of customers I observed in the restaurant (zero) I can only assume I am not the only one whos left unhappy. Sad to see the current state of this long standing franchise downtown. Service - Fast, friendly ..If I didnt get takeout id probably give 4 stars.

What can I say? Its a great breakfast with awesome staff and that atmosphere is an oldy but a goody. Breakfast is perfect there especially after the night shift.

Whimpy:s do better. Had a cevapi breakfast, those are not cevapi, false advertising. Someone who comes from Balkan I know what cevapi are. Please order from @mrakovic and then advertise as cevapi, otherwise they are just pork sausages.

I typically have good experiences here but my last visit left me needing to leave this review. Incredibly rude and inattentive service. Myself and my partner were the only people in the restaurant at the beginning of our stay and I had to bother the server to take our order after she left us sitting with menus to text for a little over 10 minutes. The food was fine. You don t go to Wimpy s because it s exceptional, but because it s cheap and easy and right. It was fine. Never got checked in on during our meal but what did happen while eating was the other front of house staff started lecturing on the cooks about how they weren t doing side duties and night shift found it too dirty in the morning. Not what you want to hear while eating. At this point we were one of 2 tables and this girl was yelling at the kitchen staff. We were waiting for our server to come back so we could get some after lunch drinks and instead she brought over the bill with no communication. I was shocked. I actually asked did we do something wrong? Because that was insane to me. As I was paying I told her we were going to get more drinks but she never checked back or asked before bringing our bill. We went all meal with empty glasses because she wouldn t check in on us. I paid and left but I won t be returning. Some days, the staff is SO lovely and welcoming. This review is not for them. This review is for the horrible service received last Saturday midday. EDIT: went back today. Had the same waitress and an even worse experience. Ended up nicely asking for a manager and the server said no and I ll take care of you next time when we kept pushing for an email for the manager to forward our bad experience. I m not sure who the young lady was working today but she s losing you customers with horrible service.

I usually come for breakfast and its decent with the specials. But lunch was definitely underwhelming for what it costs.

I made an Uber order and the lady had sent suckers for my children, powdered sugar for their pancakes and extra syrup when I called to thank the lady she was so polite and well mannered. The kids thanked her as well and the excitement I heard in her voice was awesome. The staff that is there truly have hearts of gold

We have had wimpys ultimate sandwich a few times. This time we ordered it for delivery and the sandwiches were pathetic. One thin slice of ham. Approximately 2mm thin. One peice of turkey so small it covered less than half of the bun. One peice of dried up bacon. Far less than half of what it usually is. Im very disappointed and will not be going back for more.

Did a Fish and Chips pick up on Good Friday. I called in with my order and received great service from start to finish!! Great value and quality and the Cream of Mushroom Soup that came with it was so good!

Everyone heads up I went there with my family and man I thought I was gona miss out not eating nothing and they got gluten free options did I injoy myself and the family yes I did thank you guys keep up the good work chef and the staff I totally will come back!!.

The other day we stopped by the restaurant. Ellie was so nice and welcoming, we loved chatting with her! The strawberry milkshakes were the best :) Very welcoming atmosphere, a bit smaller than other Wimpy s locations but it is a nice and cozy diner. My only complaint is that I wish it was a little cooler inside, we were still sweating even after taking our coats off! But otherwise we had a blast!

Its alright. Just a cash grab diner. The blt was good, the burger was bland and much larger than the bun..? Not generous with the milkshake

Kid-friendliness: Very welcoming to all Food

We stopped in for brunch on New Years Day and were amazed at this little hidden gem! We were greeted at the door like we were family and even though it was extremely busy and the doors were constantly revolving, our amazing waitress, Shivani, took our order right away with the best smile and attitude ever and the food came out almost immediately. The portions were huge and the food was all fantastic! The staff were all so accommodating and friendly and the owner shows her true passion and pride in her establishment. It s very difficult to find staff that show the dedication that we experienced here today and Shivani told us that she attributes it to the great training that they receive from the owner. We will definitely be back. Great job and Thanks to all of the staff.

Came here while I was out shopping in Guelph. The staff are so friendly and attentive. Thanks for the great customer service. Made my bf and I feel as if we were at home.

My family and I stopped in for dinner two nights ago. Its always an unknown how people in a restaurant will react to a family with young children coming in. Our server though was fantastic and welcoming. She recommended good amounts of food to order for the kids, split what we ordered onto seperate plates and the milkshake into two smaller cups without our asking. She anticipated our needs every step of the way. The food arrived quickly and was exactly what we expected. Well done wimpys! Vegetarian options: Try the eggs florentine! Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu and the proprietors understand how to keep kids happy

Absolutely terrible service today. While the server was doing the best she could, the kitchen clearly was in complete disarray. We were sat at 11am, and didnt get our two breakfast poutine until 12:30. Plates were coming out in 15m increments so no one actually got to eat together. The owners should be ashamed of their complete failure to staff a restaurant.

Last night my boyfriend and i stopped here for a quick bite to eat after driving all day, as soon as we came in we sat down, the waitress (didnt get her name) was SO friendly, attentive and all around amazing. the wait for our food was less than 15 minutes. Delicious food and impeccable service from her. we ll be taking the 40 min drive back to this location specifically for her. Amazing service. She definitely deserves a raise!

I went here for dinner my first night in town on a business trip. Ive definitely had worse, but there are a couple things this place should improve. The atmosphere is very 50s diner-ish, intentionally so, and its done well. The lady who served me was very friendly and attentive. I had a patty melt with onion rings. The sandwich was pretty good, but the onions in it and especially the onion rings I ordered with it tasted like theyd been fried in oil that badly needs changing. Im not sure if thats the issue, if they were just fried too long or something else, but I felt pretty gross for a couple hours after and had a very heavy weight in my stomach during that period. It may have just been an odd night and if Im back in town, Ill give it another chance, but hopefully this was a one off issue.

Warm welcome and Great size portions. Problem is there was nothing for vegetarian options and nothing gluten free except a salad. The burger was massive but tasteless to be honest. Tasted like processed meat. The Eggs Benedict was good but the amount of sauce was excessive and home fries were cold. We didnt complain because my partner was just super hungry. I ate one egg and then took the rest home to possibly warm up for lunch next day. Plus: the poutine was warm and toasty

I honestly don t know if it was because of the busy Easter weekend or something else, but my experience was of a not so clean eating area + cooking area, accompanied by a really intense smell of urine. It s a shame, I loved the 1950 s - 1960 s atmosphere of the restaurant! Will definitely go back some day and give it a second try.

We ordered three meals: chicken souvlaki, a burger, and grilled haddock. The former two were decent but much overpriced. The latter was horrible. The haddock was unbearable salty and only served the function of immediately causing hypertension in the person eating it. We had to throw it out!

I stop here at wimpys quite often for breakfast and never yet has it not bin worth the visit. The staff is very quick to approach the table with a friendly smile and very professional service the service is more the expected and the meals are great quite tasty in fact and after you order the food arrives quickly again with a smile looks great well laid out on the plate and fills the spot every time. Never have I not left the place with content belly and a smile going and staff smiling back as well. I would recommend to anyone that wants good meal friendly service and a welcoming place to enjoy a good meal Thanks wimpy,s hitting the spot everytime. Had the Chicken Souvlaki and it was perfect. Great portion and waitress very friendly. Parking: After 6pm free parking a 3 minute walk from Wimpys. Public parking lot with signs.

My boyfriend and I LOVE coming here. Its a perfect place for our Sunday brunches. Maddy, one of the servers, MAKES the experience so memorable. She has the most optimistic and uplifting energy, we always leave feeling happy and full of good food.

The daily specials are always delicious and my favourite is the Tilapia My favourite restaurant by far The owners go out of their way to make sure you get exactly what you want to eat. If you don t see what you want ask, they re always willing to make adjustments to your meal. Love this place

It s getting to be a luxury to go for breakfast. $2.00 for chocolate chips on pancakes? Really? The upselling at this place is getting ridiculous and the worst part is that they don t even advise you of the price when offering. A glass of orange juice at $4.29?

Great food, weve been regulars at a different Wimpy location, but this location is really good and of course, the food is relatively fast. Hostess/server was friendly and provided some history about the owner and chef. Would recommend for a good comfort meal if youre in town. Vegetarian options: There are options for vegetarians

Had a midweek lunch/breakfast on their patio yesterday. Fast service, food was excellent and tasty. The waiter we had at lunch was the right balance between attentive, fun to speak with and let you enjoy your company at the table. What a super pleasant server. He represented the company well and ensured we felt taken care of. I d go back again. Food was good and so was the price.

Had a burger at wimpys in KW a couple weeks ago and it was sooooo good I couldnt stop thinking about it. I live a couple blocks from the Wimpys here in Guelph and was craving that same burger....Al I can say is what a disappointment. The meat tasted like it was a microwave Salisbury steak out of a hungry man dinner, the bun was stale the lettuce was soggy and chewy. Theres no doubt in my mind that even though this is a chain the ingredients in the food dont have any consistency. If you are ever near Conestoga college dont hesitate to eat at that one but stay away from the Guelph location . My meal was inedible.

WORST MEAL I EVERY HAD. COLD FOOD, AND I LIVE UP THE STREET FROM THE RESTAURANT, ORDERED FISH AND CHIPS WITH COLD SLAW, DID NOT GET COLD SLAW, GOT OLD POTATO SALAD, PAID $83 FOR MY MEAL WHICH WAS SO BAD THAT I COULDNT EAT IT. RUINED MY BIRTHDAY.

I paid 60 dollars for my food and when I received it from skip the dishes half of the order was missing and i called them and they told me they couldn t do anything never ordering from them again and the lady I talked to on the phone was very rude. never again will I order from here!!!! And she wouldn t even let me speak..

The restaurant has an environment very reminiscent of the 1960s from the furniture they use to the flooring, made more obvious by the very 60s-eraesque posters hung on the wall. The menus were nice and simple, easy to read, offering a wide variety of foods from as diverse as burgers to fried fish and many more. I had the spinach and feta 4 egg omelet that came with homestyle fries and choice of toast. I also had a tea. The wait times were very small and the server was very friendly. The omelet itself tasted very delicious with the tangy feta cheese complimenting the smoothness of the egg. The homestyle fries had a BBQ like taste to them, yet werent heavily flavored to the extent that you couldnt enjoy them. Overall, the experience and food was very good and contributed to an overall very positive experience. 5/5.

In summer of 21 the ownership changed. The food is ok but quantity and quality arent the same. The new ppl arent the best/friendliest at customer relations. We felt we had interrupted his day.

Ive loved this place since I went as a kid. They have the friendliest serving staff, very good prices, and always good food. They are generous with the bacon They have their street patio open!! There is lots of space between tables. Its a lovely spot for a coffee/snack/meal outside - especially compared to the higher prices at most patios downtown.

My server was in the weeds. She seemed new at it. I remember being new at serving and I know all the things that can go wrong. They dont have an IPA, so I was reacquainted with Waterloo Dark. Which I thought was a strange substitution, but similar to a few black IPAs. It took a while for me to learn my beers, and its really helpful if someone you work with is invested in learning about them as well. I had to get my food to go, partially my fault for not letting them know. She had the courage to come apologize for the slow service. I think she cared that she was doing terribly, haha. She also seemed like she was practicing good eye contact. I remember practicing good eye contact. She probably just had good eye contact skills, but for the sake of this next bit, she was practicing. Aristotle and I think she was trying to improve her character. Sometimes your first experience at a restaurant isnt going to be perfect, I think it was just bad luck. Or maybe I was just happy to be in a public place. If I go back and its slow, I will write a scathing review with references to some of humanities greatest tragedies, like overfishing. Mostly to promote how bad overfishing is; that one has kind of fell by the wayside. Maybe I just dont hang around the anti-overfishing crowd., Which is probably why I almost ordered the fish. Thats how to write a review, probably. Good talk internet. Bye.

Extremely disappointed with our last order from Wimpy s. On Aug 2nd we place an order for pickup. When we got home with the order I realized I did not get what I ordered. I ordered the big catch sandwich and got a piece of fish in a box. When I called the restaurant, the young lady who answered the phone said she wasn t the one who took my order but the kitchen staff said I got what I ordered. I offered to send them a picture but said she d call her boss and call me back. She said perhaps they could give me a gift certificate for next time or something. I m still waiting for that phone call back. It s almost been a month now. We will not order from or visit Wimpy s again.

The servers are very friendly and attentive. The patio is nice, the menu is huge. If you dont know what you want check out wimpys, they have a little bit of everything.

Unprofessional workers, look like they gives you free food and they volunteer for the job but at the end you will pay for the food and theyre going to get paid. For management I have a suggestion ( customer brings profits and keep your restaurant open) so try to get your employees more

We went there for dinner got the chicken parmesan and chicken and waffles and the chicken was awful and pink in the middle And when I brought it to their attention they tried to say that it was because of the batter on the chicken that it gives it that color. The color of the chicken batter was so Brown and dark that it looked like they didnt clean their deep fryer for quite some time...

If its breakfast and you want an omelet, order it on toast then its considered a lunch sandwich and its like $4 cheaper. But seriously, no complaints eating here. Everything is good and theres enough food for 2 people on your plate!!

This is an authentic, cozy and efficient restaurant that does not skimp on servings. Our breakfast was done perfectly to order and it was EXCELLENT. The Staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. Their conversation with the regulars was especially enjoyable. It is a small restaurant that is very BIG on quality and quantity.

Our server Pauline was very pleasant to talk to, & made all the right recommendations when we couldnt decide what to eat. Turned out to be a great meal/patio experience.
