Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food here! I ordered from them accidentally but am so glad I did. The chicken is one of the first shawarma places that was all tender and didnt have any really hard pieces. Flavour was great and the salad was really good too. Would have liked it if they included some more sauce on the shawarma and separated the shawarma from the salad as they kind of mixed in the same box. The service was great though as the staff were exceptionally kind. A great hidden gem in Guelph!

Had the butter chicken after so long and the rice tasted like old. Didnt eat it. It tasted terrible. Hopefully, they do check their ingredients. This was my favourite butter chicken place to go to five years ago. But I dont think Ill come back again.

I m always greeted by the owners, who still after all these years remember me (even after being out of province for 6 years) I would always make it a mission to get my tangy and tasty. Friendliest service and always with a smile. Portions are massive and the price is right. The chicken tikka dish is my all time favourite and worth the 10 minute wait for it to be made. So disappointed. After not being to thos restaurant for a few years, I was excited to have a shawarma wrap. It was so salty and the only taste to it was salty. They used to be so delicious and flavorful. My daughter had butter chicken and samosas. They were yummy. I wouldnt recommend the shawarma.

Paid $31 for two shawarma chicken plates. Got two half size chicken bowls with bland chicken, a bit of mundane sauce and rice. Could ve been much better. The food was quick which was a plus I guess.

Shawarma was not shawarma. Its just an Indian flavoured chicken wrap, with huge chunks of chicken and vegetables. But the portion size was huge though. No Mediterranean flavour at all for a shawarma

Unassuming counter that makes extremely good variations of your favourites. Falafel is the best Ive ever had, Pakora is delicious and could almost pass as mock-popcorn chicken (seriously). Samosas are heaving with fresh ingredients. This is NOT like a chain Shawarma place, they go above and beyond expectation here. Great soda selection and the friendliest people.

After many years of having graduated from the University of Guelph, I once again found myself at the infamous intersection Macdonell and Whyndam at 2 AM after a night of carousing. I decided to go back to my roots and treat myself to a samosa and chickpeas at Tangy and Tasty. This was a dish I used to eat early on in my bar career as I aimed to incorporate plant-based foods before I was vegan. In those early years I had built somewhat of a relationship with the owner who was still there! Not only did she recognize me, but she also even remembered my name. It felt like I travelled through a time machine to 2016. The samosa and chickpeas tasted as delicious as I remembered, one of the healthier dishes you can eat to help launch the hangover recovery before you go to bed. Excellent value for your dollar...beers

A wonderful mom and pop restaurant. All of the ingredients are fresh and delicious. You will be greeted with a warm smile and, very soon afterwards, a warm belly. Easily the best falafel in the city. If you are quantity and quality in a shawarma hut, you dont need to look any further.

Wow. Fabulous gem. I came through from out of town and bought a chicken shawarma. It was massive and messy. Fresh toppings. I highly recommend. Sorry ate it too quick to get a picture. It is HUGE. Better to eat it at home than in the car. Just saying.

The best shawarma. I came from Toronto worried we wouldnt find a lot of diverse food in Guelph, but this was one of the places that showed me just how good the food in Guelph can be. Dont come here expecting traditional middle eastern shawrma; it is more like an Indian fusion, which means the spice has a bit more depth and intensity. Absolutely delicious: spicy, crispy, tender, and very flavourful. I will be back here.

I found this little gem of a place when I moved to Guelph several years ago. It quickly became my go-to shawarma place for the area. Food and service is phenomenal and I like to choose the spiciest option to suit my own tastes.

The chickpeas and samosas here are exquisite! Flaky pastry full of tender potatoes and peas. Perfectly simmered chickpeas full of delicious seasonings. This place is my #1 go-to for samosa cravings. Owners are super friendly and a joy to visit. I hear the shawarma is great too, but I always get the same thing.

I always did take out on Fridays and liked what I ordered. There is seating for dine in, have seen people dining in couple of times. To me it is like a typical downtown lunch place near your work. Personal preference i would not sit and eat in there. Food is not terrible you can give a shot but you gotta wait coz they make everything from scratch.

I ordered a falafel and it wasnt inedible, but not good enough to want to go back especially considering the egregious pricing (it was $9 for a single falafel wrap). This is one of those strange messed up places that not only do not have tahini sauce, they dont even know what it is. I asked if they had it, they gave me a blank stare and said they had tzaziki, I said I didnt want it, and asked again if they had tahini because what kind of shawarma/falafel place doesnt have tahini? They again offered the tzaziki sauce, I said no again because why in the world would I want yogurt on my falafel? Thats just nasty. Anyways, after saying no again, he said that its homemade and really good, I said no I dont want it, then he walks away and says something in a different language blah blah blah tzaziki blah blah blah and sure enough I get some weird ass falafel with tzaziki sauce that I paid way too much for. Only reason I went there in the first place was because the good places I usually go to were closed, and I sincerely regret it.

Tasteless and dirty are the two words that describe my visit to this restaurant. The food was absolutely spice less and tasteless, I have never ever had such a bland experience in an Indian restaurant. The tables, chair, floor, etc were so dirty as well. I cant imagine going back to this place or recommending it to anyone
