Excellent pad Thai, Singapore noodles and pad seeiew .. large portions worth the price

Absolute must try thai food in Guelph. Food is delicious and the staff are super friendly.

Lovely food and excellent sticky rice .

I ordered from Eat Thai on Oct 14, 2024, as my usual place was closed. I ordered the Tom Kha soup in the picture the broth is white. I like coconut broth soups. What came was red in color and had an orange taste to it. The description stated lenongrass there was no lemongrass. The vegetables were chunks of vegetables none were cut uniform in size. They looked as those they had been cut by a dull knife or ripped by hand. The taste was weird. A disappointment. I also ordered the Thai Red Curry with pork. Each piece of park and grissel on it and it was tough. I get the same dish at my usual place Thai Villa and the pork is tender sliced to the perfect thickness and I have never had fat or grissel. The Bok Choy was wilted before it was added to the dish, it looked like wet tissue paper. The vegetables in it were chunks once again and looked ripped by hand. This curry was different in flavor to the one I get at Thai Villa both descriptions are the same. Eat Thais version lacks in presentation, taste and quality of ingredients. The curry had oil running through it i have never had that with Thai Villa which I have delivered. Had this been my first experience to Thai food I wouldnt try Thai again. Fortunately for me I have my usual place. Eat Thai you didnt even come close to the quality, presentation and taste of Thai Villa. This was a complete disappointment. The number of good reviews leads me to believe that the place is hit or miss or those that have an experience that isnt great dont take the time to write a review.

It was our first time ordering from Eat Thai and we will absolutely order from them again. The food was plentiful and very delicious. We had the yellow curry with shrimp and a basil stir fry.

We love it here and drive in from Hespeler. One of our babys first foods was the green curry from here and they are so kind and friendly with our little one. I love the peanut curry, fresh rolls, pad Thai, cheese wantons etc.

Lived in Thailand for many years and wife is Thai, so I have a benchmark for ingredients, taste, texture, etc. This place is 100% authentic. For example, their Tom Yam soup contains all the traditional ingredients like lemongrass, kaffir, galangal, chilis, etc. It tastes just like mom s. Along with everything else. :-)

Well, to begin with this is not a restaurant but looks like a small family cafe. Do not expect chopsticks and selection of meal size, like other Thai places do. My Tom yam was a disaster: kimchi + mushrooms + chicken. Some herbs were not chewable . Zero taste and quality for Tom Yam!

I ve yet to be disappointed by an item at this place. I m a sucker for a good pad see ew and this one is phenomenal. The coconut curry soup is another favourite of mine, and the Singapore noodles are exceptional. A++

Update 20240503: I am beginning to fear for the state of restaurants in Guelph. A few of our regulars are now turning into no go or on the edge. This time the coconut rice came in a plastic bag that is an almost inedible chewy blob. I have never before needed a knife to cut my rice! Even then it is just going into the garbage because it is so bad. The eggplant delight wasnt very delightful. Before had a beautiful mix of textures and flavors. This time an oily mushy mix. Not much better can be said for the drunken noodles. The only thing keeping me from dropping the rating to 1 stars was the fresh rolls. They were still tasty but small. It will be a long time before I return. Previous Edit: I have changed my review from 2 stars to 5. I am accustomed to having to lower my expectations but in this case I have high praise. The owner read my review and apologized for the problem of not delivering food in a proper time. He asked for a chance to prove himself and I accepted. I am very happy that I did. We arranged a pickup so as to avoid the constant problems with delivery. I arrived and announced I was there for my pickup and the owner came out to talk to me and apologized again. I drove home with the marvelous smells in my car. When I opened the package there were 4 spring rolls, red curry with vegetables and tofu, Singapore noodles, and eggplant delight. There was also some white rice for the curry. The red curry was fragrant, rich, and nicely spicy. The vegetables were cooked just right and kept their own character and contributed to the complicated flavors in the sauce. The tofu was nicely fried and had a nice texture. This was one of the best red curries I have had. The Singapore noodles were a surprise. I expected some neutral flavored mix with veggies. Nope! These had a unique flavor like one can expect from good Thai food. Even the tofu had a different character than what was in the red curry. I will get this again without a doubt. The eggplant delight was exactly that, a delight. The eggplant was beautifully sauteed and the whole dish had a completely different character and flavor profile. I did not expect this to be so good. The spring rolls were good but were far out-classed by the rest of the meal. I can give my highest recommendations for Eat Thai and I highly respect the owner for stepping up and correcting the problem I had before. I will be back, many times. Original review, now here only for continuity: I cant leave a 1 star because I didnt get a chance to taste the food. I ordered for delivery at 6:19 pm and had a confirmed delivery for 7pm. I received a message at 6:50pm that the food was ready. Around 7:10 I saw that the food was on its way. Ok, not a big deal because it is Valentines day and they are probably busy. At 7:45 I gave up after trying to call them 2 times and getting nothing but an answering machine. My wife and I put a couple frozen pizzas in the oven because we figured they forgot us. Well, at 8:15pm the door bell rang..... I am sorry to say that I refused the order and didnt pay. The delivery guy looked surprised and told me that the food was hot and fresh, 1 hour and 25 minutes after I was messaged it was ready. I want to feel bad but I really cant because waiting for 1 hour and 15 minutes after the food to arrive was too much and someone was lying about the times the food was ready or when it was dispatched. Maybe in the future I will try this place again but my experiences with delivery in Guelph have not been very good.

If youre looking for an old school mom and pop shop, feel this place will suit you well. It was busy but not crazy busy, I felt it took a while to get service, and of the 2 items I ordered, they made a mistake with one but were able to correct it. Food was tasty and served hot and fresh. Lower level (bathrooms) could use some TLC.

This place was a welcome surprise. I was visiting my daughter in Guelph and she wanted to go to a Thai restaurant. I have tried other Asian restaurants in Guelph and found them not very good but this place is different. Great authentic food and good service. Will definitely be going back next time I am in Guelph

Surprise finding. The place looks dated with not much decoration but the curry is one of the best I had ever tried. I ordered their Thai Panang Curry Chicken, almost ordered another one right after.

I ve been going here since 2019 and their food stays consistent. Always yummy. I get the vegan options and everything I buy is good. I love their soups. I d recommend the Tom Yum, Tom kha and khao soi; so delicious so flavorful.

Fantastic pad Thai!! This is my go to spot for pad thai. Delicious, large serving, and the veggies that are in the veggie and tofu option are made perfectly and not too big not too small. I always recommend this place when people ask for good Thai food :)

The best pad thai I have ever had. I am not quite sure why this restaurant makes it so unique and different compared to everywhere else I have tried but they do a fantastic job!

Eat Thai has a well rounded menu for both vegetarian and meat options. The curry I had was rich and flavourful. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxed (which is my preference). I will be going back.

Tom yum soup pog

Ordered take out and I normally order from another restaurant here in the city. My Pad Thai with chicken had several pieces of bone in it. I have never had that happen anywhere. The noodles were ok but nothing to write home about.

Staff were really nice and helpful. Green curry tasted great too

Been coming here multiple times as an undergrad student and I have to say their food quality and staff hospitality has always been on point! The dining atmosphere was nice and the owner was extremely friendly. The food was authentic and served in a decent portion. I always visit this Thai restaurant whenever I m back in town again.

Lovely little place. Food was good and service was excellent. Ordered Thai Green curry and Sweet and Sour dish from Thai wok section. Green curry was a tad bit sweeter than what I have tasted before. Overall a nice experience.

We have been loyal customers for years but wanted to leave a review after tonight s experience. We went to order delivery through their website around 8:00pm. Unfortunately they didn t have a driver so they called me and let me know and suggested we ordered through door dash. I definitely wanted my pad Thai fix so was happy to find out that was another option as we always order through their website. The food arrived fresh & delicious as ever and we were pleasantly surprised to find a complimentary order of fresh rolls included in our order! Dietary restrictions: By far the tastiest Thai food around, and they re amazing when it comes to dietary restrictions. My family from Ottawa always requests Eat Thai when they come to visit because of the amazing gluten free options and they haven t been able to find celiac friendly Thai options back home.

Chicken pad thai was great, big portions. Not the easiest location for picking up due to lack of parking downtown but worth it!

I eat here almost every Wednesday for over a year, as i have a tight schedule that day and like that I can pick up to go and bring it with me for night shift at work. Everything is always super fresh and flavourful! All the staff are always so polite and welcoming. Basil beef and tom kha are some of my favorites. I love that they use vegetable broth with their soup as they know there are a lot of vegan customers and I do not eat poultry, knowing I dont have to ask for a different choice is a big bonus for myself ! Went for a friends bday dinner & the restaurant was fantastic at accommodating the large group of us (16 people). Service was fast, efficient, they were able to adjust to suit my dietary needs. Dietary restrictions: They were helpful for my histamine intolerance.

Went Thursday for dinner at 7pm, plenty of room to sit, friendly staff and quick service. We ordered chicken satay and chicken pad thai and both were tasty and fresh. Under $50 for 2 people. I will visit again.

The food is amazing and delicious and was served fast. The owners are very kind and provided attentive service. We had a toddler with us who made a big mess all over and we tried to clean up as much as we could. They were very understanding.

The food was so freaking good !! I had the special northern hang lay curry. It was just perfect and well balanced with pineapples. The ambient is pretty chill and they refilled my water just in time . Friendly customer service.

Got takeout. Just moved here and this place seemed like the best choice. Overall the flavour of the green curry was very tasty, however it was a bit thinner than I m used to/prefer. As well, the veg were slightly over cooked and mushy which isn t my preference. I didn t order rice but was happily surprised when rice came with my curry (I was going to make my own anyway) Overall would order from here again though! (Unless I find a better spot in my search)

WOW! this is the best thai food in guelph - noodles are unmatched, insane flavours! and yesterday in my order they surprised me with veggie cold roll so glad we finally found this place

The apps we got were good but the pad thai just tasted like it was burnt. Everything in it just tasted like char and we just had to throw them out. Very disappointing and the burnt flavour just stayed in our mouths.

Typical mom and pop Thai food. Good portions, reasonable for this day and age. 1 component in the food was undercooked (barely edible) which I politely pointed out to them x2. No response or adjustment to the bill! But I would still return. Overall a great visit.

We ordered the Fresh Rolls, Massaman Curry, Spicy Noodles, Pad Sew and Basil Fried Rice. Everything was delicious, we especially enjoyed the Massaman Curry and Pad Sew. The vegetables and ingredients were fresh, food was hot and portion sizes were really good. Overall, great flavour, value and food. Will definitely be coming back. Vegetarian options: Almost everything can be made into a vegetarian option. Dietary restrictions: Can make a lot of things vegan/vegetarian/GF if you ask.

My friend ordered from there all the time, I tried the peanut curry. It was really good.

Ordered the massaman curry, asked for spicy and there was zero spice. Very bland and boring looking as numerous ingredients were missing, no carrot or cashews.. it was basically chicken and potatoes. If some of the ingredients are missing please let your customers know when ordering. Definitely will be sticking to Na Has. copy and pasted from your menu Massaman curry with potatoes, onion, carrot, coconut milk and topped with cashew nuts. Thanks for your feedback though..

The best thai resturant ever. Cant recommend the pad Thai - beef and Peanut curry - chicken enough Truly the most authentic I ve ever had, and the curry is phenomenal! Cashew stirfry is also very tasty almond with the Thai iced tea. The owners and staff are always great! Weekends do get very busy, with a bit of a wait but is very worth it

I review for u guys a bit late. But anyway, I was so lucky that I came here for my birthday on Nov. The owner was so cute, cheerful, humor. He also gave me a bonus plate of spring roll as a birthday present. The food is quite new to us but its delicious. I love the pad thai with beef. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

We ordered 2 curry dishes and the eggplant delight. Except for the rice, everything was too sweet. Next time Ill ask for no sugar please. Also, the protein was scarse.

Tom Yum Soup: good blend of spices, very flavorful Beef Pad thai: pad thai noodle is thicker, not as much peanut sauce as other places, its different but still good! Singapore noodle: its on a yellow curry base, very flavorful. I would order from this place again for sure! Ordered a few more times take outs since then, have noticed the portion is smaller now, containers they use are smaller.

Amazing place to eat! The pad see iew was amazing! The taste, the portion, the price was excellent! The vibe tends towards the calm side but a little too calm for my taste. If you like Thai food, I recommend you to try this restaurant. Taste like home far away from home. The only thing I would change is the music playing when you dine in. When you done eating i suggest to get up early otherwise you can fall asleep from the food :)

The last time I came here was 4 years ago and I didn t even remember but everything is delicious! The pad Thai and Tom yum Soup is my favourite. Definitely recommend!

I had to catch a GO bus. Eat Thai had my spicy noodles with beef ready in 3 minutes flat! They were delicious as always too. Not as spicy as the places where I go in Toronto, but still nice tender beef and thin-sliced veggies. Perfect for chopsticks.

I am a big Thai fan. It has been my top cuisine for decades. I ve learned long ago that it must be authentic rather than MSG flavouring In my experiences of authentic Thai cuisines, this has far surpassed anything else. Nothing in GTA compares to this. Portions are above the competition and prices are on par. The mango salad was the best mango salad I have ever tried. It smelled so fresh and tasty. It was brilliantly displayed as I opened the container. This is food art! The calamari was the second best I ve ever tried. Best was high end restaurant in Philadelphia so this was really also a #1 The yellow curry is rich. I ve filled up with only a a small try. The rest is for later but I cannot guarantee a review later lol Won t eat any other Thai except here now ! Love the selection of GF and vegan that they can throw up too! Thank you. Lastly a couple reviews mentioned being too sweet or too much sugar. Not sure where this is coming from as I am someone who doesn t have a sweet tooth or a sugary diet and could not notice any sweetness that was overwhelming the meal. Storefront is in DT location which was biggest inconvenience for me to consider eating here but it was worth it. Thanks

Ordered the Pad See Iew, it was so greasy that I couldnt bare eating it. Disgusting! Definitely not worth the money. The chicken fried rice wasnt authentic thai food and was made using only dark meat.

This is a true Thai restaurant! I can attest to that because I lived in Thailand for 15 years. The food quality and flavours are top notch. The owner Khun Wood , Khu Ploy and the entire staff are very welcoming and friendly. There are wide range of classic Thai dish to choose from. Highly recommended! I can t wait to visit again with my family next time when I am in Guelph!

Have been a handful of times in the past year. Always good food, fair prices and friendly staff. Just know their definition of spicy is very spicy but flavorful if thats your thing. Especially with the drunken noodles.

Not usually fond of writing reviews but Eat Thai in Guelph just exceeded my expectations that I wanted to leave a few notes. Started with their mango salad teeming with mango, so unlike most I ve had in other places which were just a few strips of mango sprinkled over bell peppers, carrots and what have you. Then had the Basil Seafood with a delicious blend of spice and salt, in generous portion. Finished with their Sticky Rice with Mango, just the perfect end to a great meal.

Love the food here, they also take allergies very seriously. When making a note on my online takeout order, they followed up with a phone call just to make sure they understand the allergy.

My wife and I ordered the Thai spring rolls, Singapore noodles, and beef salad (Lab nam Tok). We enjoyed all of them. The service was warm and welcoming. Wut was an excellent host. We will definitely visit again!

Absolutely love Eat Thai Guelph!!! My favourite restaurant in the city. The vegan spring rolls and red curry are my favourite. Every dish I have tried has been amazing. Even take out is delicious! Most of the time I customize my orders, and they are always correct. Yum yum yum!

The food, which we had delivered, arrived hot and so amazingly tasty. We ordered several dishes to share and everything was awesome (pad sui beef, won ton soup, street noodles, spring rolls, mango salad and yellow curry with coconut rice). Everything was great and we had a lot of left overs! Great the next day too. Will order again.

Quick to order, well packed for travel, and affordable to eat often. LOVE the mango salad, veg rolls, and green curry so much we just keep ordering it and havent tried anything else. ETR is our favourite reason to not make dinner.

If you want to be amazed by this tiny gem in downtown Guelph then you have to treat yourself to the Thai Peanut Curry! Oh my gosh it s amazing! And consistently amazing at that! We ve had it several times and pair it with the chicken sa tay, vegan spring rolls and fresh rolls! This is Are You Kidding Me? good!!!

This is excellent Thai food. The aromas brought me right back to when I lived in Thailand years ago. We enjoyed our green curry, pad Thai, and Tom Kha soup so much that I told my husband, This feels like medicine for my soul. I d had a rough day and this meal fixed everything. To the owners/chefs: thank you for the hard work you do every day; cooking authentic Thai food requires much time and effort. There are no pics in this review because I would have had to stop eating to grab my camera and that was not happening.

I love the owner here. They are always there and somehow remember me and my dietary needs even if its been months since my last visit. Once they made me a non-dairy Thai tea with lime and it was so simple but SO good. They also are one of the few places I can get mango sticky rice regularly which is one of my favourite desserts. I ordered the Pad Thai, Pad See Iew, vegan Spring rolls and Fresh rolls. Thought the Pad See Iew tasted a bit bland. However, the spring rolls and fresh rolls tasted very good and I enjoyed the sauces that came with them

Exceptional flavours! We tried this place on a hunch. Saw the good google reviews and ordered in. Best decision this week..... Firstly, the online ordering system was such a pleasure to use. Made it easy and no confusion about what we ordered and no phone calls etc. Loved it. Secondly, and more importantly. The food. We ordered Pad Thai with two meats and the Massaman curry with shrimps. Also, ordered the coconut sticky rice. The quantities were very large and sufficient for 2-3 people with voracious appetites. The Pad Thai was so good my hubby refused to share more than a couple of bites!! :) The Massaman curry was just the right amount of spicy (I ordered it spicy) and sweet and creamy and yummy-ness! The shrimp was a succulent and not rubbery and the coconut sticky rice was the best. Flavourful without being overwhelmingly coconut-y. With the curry it hit all the right spots. We will be coming back for sure. As avid foodies we are so glad to have found such amazing Thai food in Guelph. Will be raving to all my friends about it. Be prepared for a rush of new customers coming your way! Wishing them continued success in these hard times. Well be doing our bit and coming back soon.

Just got a spicy vegetarian Pad Thai from this restaurant. Delicious! One of the best I have ever had. It was so perfectly spicy that I didn t even have to add any Sriracha. I highly recommend. I will be back for the Pad Thai and to try more stuff.

Just wanted to say, you did a fantastic job with the takeout I ordered for my daughters birthday yesterday. Everything was perfect! I asked for mild spice and it was delicious! Well done! Thanks and will be back again.

Ive been here twice. I tried the yellow curry. I was totally blown away. Most flavorful and unique tasting curry Ive ever had. I highly recommend eat Thai restaurant.

My new favourite Thai restaurant. Had the Green curry and red curry and they were both way better than anticipated. And my mango salad was perfect and exactly what my body wanted. Ill be back for sure.

Wonderful for take out! Their pad Thai was great - could maybe use a bit more sauce if it s coming home to eat, but otherwise no complaints. The pineapple curry was made extra spicy and was delicious! Will definitely be back. :)

Amazing food, great service, lots of gluten free options, accomodate dietary needs very well. It is Celiac friendly (make sure to ask which items to get to avoid cross contamination). They do not have a patio but the neighbors patio is usable. Spring rolls had a lot of dough and barely any filling however their yellow curry and pad thai is top notch

Customer service here is the real Thai experience. Owners are amazing ! Food is always delicious and tastes authentic. Always brings back memories of Thailand. Thank you guys!

The red curry here is SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD. The most flavourful dish ever. Always so fresh and the most lovely employees that are so friendly.

Authentic Thai food with perfectly balanced flavours. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. We felt right at home and were welcomed as we would have been in Thailand. A real gem of a find! Will be back again soon

Great Tai restaurant. Our group ordered various dishes and they were all VERY good. Some of the best Tai food weve had. Wait staff was attentive and accommodating. Will definitely visit again (and again).

The best Thai restaurant Ive ever experienced in Canada. Did an 8 month academic year abroad in Thailand and Eat Thai flooded me with nostalgia through the smells and flavors. There are many good and great Thai restaurants, but none have come close to making me feel I was right back there. They also have Khao Soi now, which is a lovely northern Thai dish! My favourite Thai restaurant and my favourite restaurant in all of Guelph hands down.

*******Be careful to make sure to follow the actual right address for Eat Thai as there is a phishing site under the exact same name and even has the actual address/phone number of the actual restaurant on their EatThaiGuelph website. Before ordering, perhaps call the restaurant to ensure you have the right site. They are in the process off fixing the issue. We are still supporting the restaurant and wont let a couple of maggot scammers get in the way of us supporting local and eating great food! I put 5 stars as this is not the restaurants fault and as per usual the food was outstanding.

This place was recommended to me a few times by my friends. So I was curious to check the reviews, and wow the amount of overwhelmingly positive reviews finally pushed me to give it a go. Me and my partner came here for dinner, immediately the staff were so friendly and helpful with all the questions. We both got a chance to try different dishes, and the food was incredible! We loved it and we will be back soon!

The massaman curry, with chicken is one of the best dish I have ever had.

Love this restaurant! So much flavour and I love the food quality. I pretty much order the same thing every time and it has become a staple in our house. Tom yum soup, crab cream cheese won tons, beef Singapore noodles (love this dish!) And the drunken noodles (very spicy but delicious). The food is always hot and fresh whether I do pick up or delivery. The pad Thai isnt my favorite but everything else that we have tried on the menu is delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Delicious Thai food. Big portions.

FANTASTIC FOOD!! Ive eaten from a variety of different Thai food places in the past and this one is by far my favourite. Its really too bad I live so far away from it. This family owned restaurant had the nicest people there greeting us and take our order. Next time I visit Guelph Ill defientily be coming back because I really do miss those Singapore noodles.

The vegan options here are fantastic. Such modest portions.

Oh so good...I had the royal scallop dinner tonight and my husband the green thai curry...simply the best food! We always love this place. And the delivery guys are so upbeat and happy as well...a good sign indeed. We will definitely continue to order here!

Excellent food

Great food, great quantity

Due to COVID our option was take out or delivery. My wife and I opted to pick our order up. We had deep fried spring rolls (vegan), vegetable tofu Panang, and vegetable tofu drunken noodles. Everything was amazing, fresh and hot. The drunken noodles were the best with a good amount of heat. Spring rolls were crispy and not oily. The Panang had layers of aromatic flavor that were awesome. Rice cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend and will visit again.

Great service and delicious food. Coconut shrimp and Royal Scallop are faves.
