Lemon Grass Thai Cuisine in Guelph

Found the food to be mediocre - wouldn t want to go back to try it again. I also found it to be expensive for the amount of food you get (I ve been to other Thai restaurants that give you a lot more food. It was also quite odd that you couldn t go in the restaurant to pick up your order. The first time I called, there was no answer and I was left standing in the cold. Only upon the second call did someone bring the food out.

Wanted to try a different Thai place, so we wanted to order takeout from Lemon Grass. Not only do they not provide prices on their website, but the person who took the order over the phone didnt even want to tell us our total cost until we pressed about it. It was way more than we ever expected to spend (2 noodle entrees and 2 drinks was $65 total), but we wanted to give them a chance. No wonder they hide their prices. Ordering from here was a mistake. The food was bland, the vegetables tasted incredibly watery (perhaps previously frozen, or just low quality), the takeout containers they use were very cheap and small, so the amount of food you get is very small, and the drinks which were also overpriced, were in tiny cups. Skip this restaurant, go somewhere better.

I had the tofu green curry, tofu Tom yum soup and ginger tofu. It was all really terrible. Very watery and the all the veggies and tofu were chopped up smaller than you would feed a toddler. If you add up all the tiny bits, it was really a small amount of anything. Im very confused. Especially since it costs more than many other thai places. Red Papayas green curry is infinitely better, try that instead .Pros: friendly staff.

Ordered chicken pad thai. Very thin on the chicken...not alot of flavor. Was ready quick and was hot. Also had rice rap rolls beef and shrimp very thin on the meat. Not my first choice for Thai

Lemongrass is the absolute best! It s our go-to takeout spot. I am absolutely in love with their coconut tofu soup and eggplant tofu. The food is always delicious and fresh, everyone there is always so kind and friendly, prices are great, and portions are generous! We recently ordered a large quantity of food for our wedding, and they were able to accommodate our needs flawlessly. Vegan options are labelled clearly, and they are knowledgeable and ready to offer tons of delicious vegan dishes. We love everything about lemongrass!

Friendly service. Ordered Chicken Pad Thai and spring rolls. Food is way overpriced for the very small serving sizes you get. Very little chicken and food was average at best. Was disappointed as I expected much better from an authentic Thai restaurant.

Overall only mediocre. Small portions and relatively expensive vs other Thai places. Ordered a few thing but will comment on the green bangkok curry ... Not very flavorful and I am certain the noodles were spaghetti?? Not vermicelli. Found that very strange. On a positive note, fried tofu app was excellent.

Looking for an amazing meal? Thai Lemongrass is a phenomenal choice! Kacy s hospitality is exceptional. My partner and I order weekly because the food is fantastic. When we call to place our order, Kacy recalls our regular; a Pad poh taek, Thai Lemongrass with chicken, and an order of spring rolls. We have tried many items on the menu, and they are all delicious. Those are just our favourites. The best Thai food outside of Thailand. Enjoy!

Lemon Grass Thai Cuisine is the best Thai food experience outside of Thailand. Kacy always treats us with the utmost hospitality. The chefs always prepare an amazing feast for my family.

Our meal was flavorful, and the portion size was great. Lemongrass definitely satisfied our Thai food cravings (yes, the rice-to-curry ratio is perfect here.. No excess of rice vs. curry) Some items to note: - They are one of the few places that have vegan/vegetarian Green Curry (Some other Thai favorites in Guelph use Fish Sauce) - The Spice level can be turned up to 11, if you so wish...! - If you pay by cash, there is a discount on the meal (I believe it was 10%)

Amazing restaurant, my girlfriend I have been going here once a week because its just so good! We have tried most of the menu by now and none of it has disappointed. I love the Pad-Po-Taek and the shrimp rolls. My girlfriend loves their tofu and the bubble teas! We highly recommended this restaurant.

Ive been coming to this place for over 10 years. My wife and I love the food and theres nobody more polite and detail oriented than the staff here. Amazing and very consistent food. Check this place out!

Tried the beef pad thai with a side of spring rolls and it was delicious! I wasnt able to call my order ahead and still only had to wait about 10 minutes for 2 meals! The service was also very friendly. Will definitely be back!

Ordered takeaway of Green Curry, Cashew Chicken and Thai Spring Rolls. My wife really enjoyed her curry and found it among the best Thai shes had in Canada. The Cashew Chicken was okay and had lots (and I mean lots) of carrots, broccoli and a it of pineapple. If you are used to (or enjoy) authentic Thai seasoning and flavours, you will need to tell them to spice it accordingly. I didnt and as a result found it a bit bland for my taste. I did ask for additional hot sauce on the side, expecting them to include homemade hot sauce. It wasnt homemade, but I believe Sriracha. The Spring rolls were excellent. The quantity of food was stellar! Portions were huge. Four stars. Definitely better than Thai Express, but not quite on par with Chaophrya, Edinburgh.

My husband and I would HIGHLY recommend Lemongrass Thai Cusine, its our favourite Thai food place we have ever had!!!! The food is absolutely delicious!!! The chicken pad Thai, spring rolls, yellow curry, and banana fritters are all the best things ever!! The food is such high quality and made so beautifully. Casey who works there is the nicest person, we love to see her:):) The service is wonderful!:) Casey always knows its us when were calling and knows what we love to eat and how we like it, and always makes it so special. We used to live in Guelph where Lemongrass is located, but moved a few years ago to Cambridge and we still make the trip out to Lemongrass whenever we want Thai food, nothing else is comparable. Ya the food is ok but the price is just nasty. 28.00 for 4 chicken cakes and a normal serving of pad thai.......rent must be high!

Ordered the chicken pad Thai. At first I thought they forgot to put chicken in, but it turns out it s actually made with ground chicken. Flavour was fine, but you can get better at Thai express. And I don t say that lightly.

I really love this restaurant. The family who owns it are such lovely people. Christy who works the front is the sweetest and even though sometimes I go a year inbetween visits, she always remembers my name and my order. Its so tiny and quant and the food is delicious.

Work close by and have tried on 4 separate occasions to go for lunch (even with the weird hours), and every single time, it has been closed. They dont answer their phones, so when I pop by they are either closed with a sign on their door, or closed inexplicably. Came today at 2:15 after calling twice to find it still closed, even though Google and the website say it opens at 2:00!!! Wont be trying anymore - skip this place and try the restaurants on the north side of Municipal St

Best Authentic Thai in Guelph

Great food, better service, and tonnes of vegan friendly options. The people working here go beyond what you would typically expect in a restaurant and very accommodating for all dietary preferences and zero-waste options. The food is delicious, and prepared quickly. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.

Very small restaurant it s easy to miss if you are not paying attention. Fast service and authentic Thai food. Can be a bit pricey but worth every penny. Seats are not very comfortable so I prefer doing takeout.

Ordered the red curry chicken and it was full of from frozen vegetables. It tastes like someone took a bag of mighty green giant frozen beans and threw some curry on it. Very brutal. Will not be ordering from this place again and surprised that it had reviews over 2 stars. Gross

The ONLY Thai food to try in Guelph. The dining area is small, cute, and clean. The service is AMAZING, and Ive always felt like an important and valued customer over the 2 years Ive been going. The food is spectacular. Fresh and authentic, the Pad Thai looks, tastes, and smells exactly as it should - No bright red bottled hot sauce here! The spring rolls are excellent and I always end up getting a second order to share. The mango salad is crisp and fresh every time. In fact, Ive never had a meal there that I didnt rave about. This is the type of restaurant Guelph needs more of. If youve never been and enjoy Thai cuisine, you owe it to yourself to try it. Youll never eat fast food Thai again.
