Best Vietnamese food in the region!!

This place is a great family owned restaurant. The quality of their food is great and their service is exceptional! I ordered their chicken pho for pickup and it was a few mins late (which I didn t mind at all) but they were so kind and asked me to take a seat and brought me a cup of tea. Great customer service! They really go above and beyond. :)

Restaurant is clean, food is delicious, staff are attentive. Will definitely be coming again. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian section available on menu. Dietary restrictions: Beef pho contains only bones from beef and chicken. No pork. Chicken pho uses bones only from chicken, no beef or pork.

The beef pho was delicious, had a good amount of beef and beef balls and came with plenty of accompaniments to top it with. The soup was hot and the service friendly.

Very very slow service. Brought my food out way before before my boyfriends. Pad Thai is incredibly saucy and sweet despite being advertised as spicy I think. First time trying this place and probably won t be back.

The food was great. I was able to adjust the spice level of the Pad Thai, and it was perfect. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The Vietnamese Coffee was the best that I have ever had. So rich, smooth and tasty. You have to eat here!

Fantastic pho and bun bo hue!

6:05pm Tuesday we arrive. The restaurant has 4 guests, including us 2. We order 2 bowl of Mi Quang Q1A. Its now 6:37 and Im writing this. Very hangry.

Pho and pad thai are amazing. The banh mi is good, but could use a little more punchy flavors. Cant believe I didnt know about this place for 2 years living here. For sure making this a regular stop.

Had my second grilled chicken banh mi from here for lunch - it was lovely! Friendly service from the front of house staff and an abundance of sandwich fillings, as per usual!

Disgusting. Ive been eating here for 5 years. Went tonight and it was brutal. Spring rolls came out and there was an ant swimming in the sauce. They switched it out. Brought out my Pho - I let the first 6 inch hair slide but the 2nd one Id had enough. Best part? They charged me for for the ant ridden spring rolls. Absolute joke. This is a good way to end a 5 year relationship. Enjoy your insects and hair! Yum!

My boyfriend recently moved to Guelph, and so glad to say we ve found our new favourite Vietnamese restaurant! First time, we dined in and got the vermicelli. Great food and excellent service. Second time, we ordered the banh mi (subs) with bubble tea and spring rolls for take out. Quick, friendly service. We will definitely be regulars here. Thanks Nguyens!

Really good Vietnamese food, service could be a improved. Having been here previously, I knew that the food would be good. The vermicelli bowl was huge, the spare ribs were properly grilled and the beef pho was simply amazing. The only drawback to our meal, was the slow and sparse service. Our waiter did not come to our table to inquire about the food he served or if we required something else ... and since we both wanted another beverage, we had make due with sharing a glass of water between the 2 of us. The other waitress was attentively serving her tables, but our waiter was unfortunately not attentive to us. Well come back for food here again, someday. Hopefully, the service will improve to allign itself with the spectacular food served here.

My coworkers and I eat here as frequently as we can! GREAT staff and super great atmosphere. AND the food is delicious! Can t go wrong with their soups/pho (seriously it s like a hug in a bowl )

As someone trying Vietnamese food for the first time, it was amazing. We had Rice Noodle Soup with Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai. Ill definitely go back, and Ill crave Vietnamese food from now on.

Ive ordered from here twice now and the food has been quick and delicious both times. I love that they have their own order form on their website so you dont have to use a delivery services with additional costs and higher prices or be forced to use a phone to order, which not everybody enjoys doing and both times my food has arrived within the estimated time window. I knocked off one star because I find their Vietnamese iced coffee to not be as strong or good tasting as other restaurants that serve it and everything was a tad pricey, but then again so is everything in the times were living. All in all, would recommend and will be back.

Liam is a great server and can handle a full restaurant all on his own! Very impressed by the food and the drinks we got the honeydew smoothie. Liam is polite and quick and very helpful with my questions about the menu. The portion sizes are very generous and the flavors are amazing. We will definitely be back.

This was my first time trying Vietnamese food, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the beef pho, and it was delicious!!! I dined alone, and the atmosphere was nice. The server took great care of me, refilling my tea, and suggesting I try the house-made chili sauce, but other than that, just letting me read my book quietly.

I ordered food and it took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get here, the food was barley warm and I paid 2.50$ for extra peanut sauce and didn t even get it

I just ordered takeout just when they opened. The packed vegetables that came with banxeo/pancake and hue soup are all bad. I dont know how they expect their customers to eat these when they see and pack it. You can tell the vegetables are old as theyre already dry and brittle. Its disappointing to pay a lot when their food quality is like this. $20 just for the pancake and a bag of garbage vegetables.

My favorite My Quang in town

I am a pho connoisseur, and my all-time favourite pho restaurant was in Hamilton, which had consecutively won awards by the city. I have tried pho all over and I must say, this place tops my favourite Hamilton location. I visited the place in the spur of the moment after reading one review that noted they would come to Guelph just for their pho and I can say, I agree. Their broth is well seasoned but I appreciate that it did not seem MSG heavy; I was not heavily dry-mouthed after. The broth had a depth of flavour that saturated the noodles well. The meat seemed like quality options than cheap/tough. The combination of the dish with their house-made chilli oil was what made this place stand apart. I highly recommend any food connoisseur to have a visit. My only qualm was that the waitress finger had dipped into my soup as she was serving two dishes at the same time and the soup swayed. I am aware she was also handling the cash register so this was off-putting for me. She is, however, evidently a student and it wasn t going to kill me. Ambiance was great. Lovely, small-town restaurant feel. You can hear the murmuring chatter of families and couples who stopped by as soon as this placed opened, as I did. Price is definitely higher than your typical pho, but the dish is worth the comparative price boost. Edit: I ended up getting food poisoning on my next visit here. Mixed with the act of poor sanitation I noticed previously (touching money then getting fingers into my broth while serving), which I had overlooked, I ended up getting very sick after this meal (as my sole meal). The server that day also came in and did not sanitize or anything, and went straight to serving (food). This was a red flag I should not have dismissed. It is unfortunate and I hope they revise their policies.

Came in from out of town craving a hot bowl of soup so we ordered a chicken and a beef pho, and a fresh roll, all three items were delish! Portion sizes for the soup bowls were generous and the service was quick, warm and willing to adjust the sauce for the fresh rolls to make them gluten free!

Family restaurant. Please do declutter: so much stuff here and there, the dining area and rest don t look roomy and clean. Narrow hall leads to washrooms. Boxes are everywhere. All this mess creates a poor sanity experience. Meals are good size. The only thing all of us didn t like: kielbasa in your pho soup.

I dont come to Guelph often, but every time I do The Nguyens is ALWAYS on my list. I absolutely love their food - super flavorful and always hits that spot! Five out of five stars.

My husband and I are 3 hours from home, for work. We frequently travel out of town for long periods of time. Place was closing in 30 minutes, we were dirty and starving. There were 4 of us as my sister and her partner were with us, we ordered an obscene amount of food. 4 meals including oxtail pho, shrimp and pork T1, shrimp in rice paper, grilled pork and chicken with egg, fried shrimp that was melt in your mouth. A banh mi that was crunchy fresh and delicious. Amazing food. We accidentally dropped 2 chop sticks, and 1 spoon. Before we had the chance to pick it up a new one was on the table. So attuned to recognize the sound each time they brought the right utencil. Everything was amazing. We will see you again soon. 10

Nguyens is our go-to spot in Guelph for pho. Regular beef pho is my order. Warms me up head to toe; you can tell the broth is made with care. The soup is served with a generous portion of sprouts, thai basil, and lime. Sometimes my partner and I will also share spring rolls or banh mi if we are really hungry (the chicken banh mi is great). I prefer to dine in than take-out. The vibe inside is intimate, with cozy wooden booths, real plants and interesting decor. Service is always quick and friendly. Best bowl of pho youll find! Pad thai and crispy egg noodle dishes are also excellent. And you have to try the spring rolls. This is my go-to spot for dinner. It has the best pho in Guelph!!! I really like the vermicelli and my boyfriend also says he had never had better pho than this restaurant!! we come regularly since the first time we tried it! Pancake (Bánh xèo) had too much oil, and the sauce was too salty. Chicken wings had nothing special. Papaya salad was pretty good, although I did not expected onion in it.

Absolutely love this local pho family restaurant! The warm and inviting ambiance always makes me feel at home. Their pho is simply amazing rich, flavorful broth with tender meat and fresh herbs. The menu variety is impressive too. Its become my go-to spot for hearty and authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Highly recommended!

Ok so first off the Bahn MI is $10. The pics online are wrong, they massively raised the price once people started giving good reviews. Seriously. For an ok sub served with a bad attitude by that guy with dyed blond hair who obviousy hates working there. The sub was ok but for that price? Nope. Girvan in Kitchener is half the price for a better sub.

Nguyens is one of our go-to Vietnamese restaurants in Guelph. We visit couple times a month and when get random cravings. We were craving for spring rolls today (Sunday) and the restaurant used to be closed on Sundays & Mondays so we have to wait till Tuesday to get food. Now that theyre open 7 days a week, its easier and faster to satisfy our cravings! Thanks for opening on Sundays!!

One of the better Pho places in Guelph. The chef is nice enough to come out chat with you with regards to any questions you may have. Their Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk definitely hit the spot. The chilli oil which is personally made by the chef is soooo good. Will definitely be going back.

I could go on and write some glowingly aspiring comments about this quaint resto-gem just off HWY 6 and Speedvale Avenue ... but I will keep it simple and sweet. Food ... amazing and super flavourful Viet cuisine, as good (or better?) as I have had anywhere in Ontario. Service ... very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Atmosphere ... comfortable and clean Highlights .... beef phõ (I got extra beef) was sublime and rich, as was the bánh mi which was shared/enjoyed with my beloved back at the office. Will I come ... I certainly will, next time Im in Guelph.

Been going for years and always enjoy my food. Can think of no better place to go for Vietnamese cuisine. Approached the counter after getting a big hit of spice to the back of my throat, struggling to breath and asking for some extra water. Relieved a cheeky No before obviously getting my drink. I appreciated the humor.

I don t write reviews, but had to after half finishing this dinner tonight. Let me start by saying that I rely on google reviews when trying a new restaurant to try out in town. I honestly have no idea how this restaurant has so many stars?!! Of only 3 places in Guelph that I ve tried pho, this is on the very bottom. Presentation of food was ok. I thought we d go simple at 3 chicken noodle pho and veggie spring rolls. I m not that picky for cuts of meat, but the chicken was very fatty and tough, not a big fan of rubbery skin either. It also had about 50% bean sprouts. The kid was very excited for pho and then very disappointed. Worst part of this meal were the spring rolls. If you like just pure grease, then they are for you. Absolute disgusting. I realize food costs have gone up everywhere, but it s truly disappointing when a meal costs this much for half of it to go in the bin and that truly annoys me (trust me, I m annoyed enough to write a review) I would not recommend to any friends or family. Sorry.

Delicious food here! I grabbed some takeout here last week after wanting to try it for a long time (it s on the opposite side of town from me). Got an order of Pad Thai, Vermicelli, and Pho. Everything was delicious and the price was very reasonable. I ll definitely be back to try some more of the food here!

I have to write review for this place, i believe a lot ppl going to this place cuz the good reviews, to be honest, the food flavor was ok, same as other pho restaurants, important things, if you dont mind waited 40mins for one dish, and a super grease spring roll, bad attitude when you ask about food, then this place is for you. the waitress will tell you that the food is still cooking after 40mins of wait, seriously??? 40mins for pho? been to so much pho restaurants never have to wait that long, the broth and the meat are pre-cooked, all they have to do is boil the noodle, and that took 40mins, and for take out......its the same. have seen ppl who order online or by phone waited more than 40mins, and they still didnt get the order ready. Owner if you saw this review please dont bother reply back, i dont need to know the feedback.

The beef and chicken pho were absolutely outstanding, the broth is to die for. Such a rich, succulent flavour that is not found at many places. The meat was perfectly cut and portioned, and I went home barely able to finish the XL beef! Highly recommend the cold Vietnamese coffee with milk as a treat on the way out, itll perk you up and taste like a Coffee Crisp smoothie in liquid form. I love this family establishment and cant wait to return again!

Ive eaten here many times, but the last time I ate a bowl of noodles size L and couldnt eat pork, there were only three shrimp in the bowl. When I asked the staff why there was only one bowl of noodles like that. three shrimp, the staff said the restaurants service was like that, and the final climax today bought another one and still could not be satisfied with the quality, the restaurant owner needs to review the service as well as the taste of the food. Ngyuens is a small family Vietnamese restaurant tucked away off Speedvale Ave that serves the best PHO soup in Guelph, The service is warm and welcoming and offers a clear flavorful soup with perfectly cooked rice noodles, tender beef and a delicious broth. Its a gem and deserves a visit if your looking for a quality bowl of PHO

We come here at least monthly. I am pretty new to the Bahn Mi game, but I know a winner when I taste it. I have tried most of their different subs, but the pork is my go to. The ingredients are so fresh that I feel like they are growing in the garden out back. The bun is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The service is always amazing even though the place is hopping. Take out just doesnt stop. Thank you for such amazing food.

Great local family run spot! Try the Vietnamese subs, vermicelli bowls and pad thai. You wont be disappointed!

Wow what an amazing experience! I dined in last night for the first time and the atmosphere was perfect. Great live music, beautiful artwork, and cozy seating. We ordered the chicken Pad Thai and it was the best quality I have ever had. Id also highly recommend the Vietnamese Coffee and Coconut shake, both were delicious and refreshing. The service was also exceptional as the staff were very attentive and kind. 10/10 new favourite restaurant in guelph
