I’ve been a long time customer of this location, unfortunately my last three recent visits have been just terrible. The restaurant hostesses are never at the front, and the back of the restaurant is sweltering hot. When I asked not to be seated in the back because of this, the hostess rudely stated that we won’t get our food timely as a result. Yet two single guests asked before us and were moved without comment and seated at 4 person tables, VERY unprofessional and discriminatory behaviour. I won’t be coming back, and I recommend you dine elsewhere.
A restaurant I like very much. I often go to brunch with my friends. The food there is so diverse and delicious! Large portions .Never let you down!!
Very kind employees, we had a lot of Fun with Steph! She explained and recommended everything for us. And wow...the Food was awesome. Perfect Brunch!
Diner-like atmosphere. Pros - beyond meat options, fresh fruit, fairly quick service. Cons - I feel $20 is a lot for breakfast, quality of food is ok but size is not like the pics, the menu is missing some basic options like a pancake, doesn't honor promotional gift cards after a certain date, gimmicky. Update: Response by proprietor does not align with my review.
Had the beet, cucumber, fruit cocktail, and the chorizo, goat cheese, sun dried tomato rolled in a crepe. The drink was delicious, fresh and not too sweet. The crepe was kind of dry and tasteless compared to what I usually expect from Cora’s quality. I wish there was a bit more fillings, but otherwise it was pretty good. Also had a cappuccino, it was perfect. Fast and attentive service but I was also eating at 7am so there was only 2 other tables there.
On vacation, don't normally eat breakfast but decided to today. The place was clean, the service was impeccable and the food was fresh, hot and cooked to perfection. One thing that amazed me was it is one of the cheapest breakfast in the city for the size of the proportions. I could dead name a few other spots that are way over hyped and way over priced with smaller portions. My meal in this picture was 15 bucks and I left a 5 buck tip. Recommend and will be back.
Came here on a Saturday morning around 8am. Ordered the Fresh Fruit Waffle and Beyond Meat Eggs Benedict. Really fast service and pleasant atmosphere. Loved the place and service but the food was average. Fresh Fruit Waffle - 3/5 (waffle was kinda undercooked) Beyond Meat Eggs Benedict - (4/5)
Good place for breakfast/brunch. The server was sweet and hospitable. We ordered the egg skillet and sausage & eggs. The food was overall good but they can make the toast and potatoes better. The toast was partially raw bread because it was not uniformly toasted. The potatoes had zero flavour. Lastly, I request you to use good quality fresh fruits as all the fruits were sour or stale.
Always a good breakfast, this one is getting a little tired but still a place to go
Burnt food and small portions
Completely up to the Cora standard. The early morning staff were very attentive.
Breakfast was delicious, highly recommend this restaurant
Waited over an hour and still no food
Walking L. Waited 2 hours for food. Forgot my sausage. Unfortunate
I waited 2 hours for food. Half our group got their food, the other half had to wait another 20 minutes and didnt have sausage included in their meal. Food was okay but the wait combined with a very warm seating place made it not worth it.
Crepes were fine but eggs over cooked and coffee was equivalent to what you get at gas station
Very rich and good atmosphere I really liked it.
Half the potatoes were overcooked and half were undercooked. Steak eggs benedict were mostly steak and white onion (only 1 slice of red pepper amongst the 3 peices, and no green onion). The bathroom garbage was overflowing with paper towel. They gave $2 off for the issues with the meal, but the prices definitely do not justify the quality that is served.
Im from the land of diners, I know what Im looking for... Coras nailed it. First things first, the fresh fruit. My kids are little. Whats better than a MASSIVE plate of FRESH fruit? Nothing. Its beautifully prepared. Its spilling over the edges. Its not just honey dew. Its awesome. It was playful enough for kids and bountiful enough for the person paying to appreciate. Next. The sweet and salty plates. FINALLY. Someone gets it. Breakfast people want it all. Its why theres combo plates. Coras expertly adds in a crepe or waffle to not only stuff you but to bring you the joy of getting it all. The savory. I dont like breakfast. And then you find yourself looking at some overpriced brunch spot with foams. Skip it! This menu has something for you. I loved the black bean patty crepe. Lastly, using crepes as burrito/wraps loved the smoothies. Loved the pancakes. This is not a greasy spoon or an overhyped brunch spot. This is a passion driven food fest. Id go back a million times. Specials shout out to the owner, taking orders, cooking food, and being chill enough to not only be a great waitress but to show interest in the people at her tables. Vegetarian options: This is a vegetarian dream restaurant. Easy substitutions. Lots of menu options. Dietary restrictions: We told them we had a restriction and our waitress had the answers Parking: Pay at the meters Kid-friendliness: This is a great menu for kids. All the favorites of kids and adults.
Very long service
Had a great time with my family. We all choose something different ad everyone loved it. The waitress was really kind.
Excellent
Love the food..very delicious
I ve gone to Cora s since I was a teenager but I feel like it s lost its magic. It used to be a cute cozy brunch spot but now it feels sad? The cocktail/fruit smoothie isn t very good (my blueberry one tasted mostly watery/icy), my steak benedict was sub-par (tasted like beef stir fry with hollandaise pure and simple is better) and the kids waffle with fruit came with a weird custard instead of what it used to come with. The waffles with fresh fruit used to be my favourite and was top level of what I looked for in waffles and custard and whipped cream. (Kids version didn t have whipped cream) waffle batter still tasted the same (still yummy) I liked that the kids get a little activity book (it s a bit too simple though-my daughter was down in 2 minutes) The decor hasn t changed in a decade and it just feels a bit run-down. Menu has a lot of new additions so maybe I ll try those next time.
Food was great. Great for kids and services was great.
It was just... Not good. Very very greasy and tasteless. At Cora, usually you expect something pleasant and generous, but that wasnt the case this time. Its a shame. I should have gone elsewhere.
I always love Coras when visiting Halifax but was disappointed that they not did have any gluten free bread and my server said they have been trying to order it with no luck. How about walk down to Pete s Fruitique and buy a bag? Disappointing.
The best Cora!
Most horrible service today that I have ever experienced from a Coras restaurant Called to complain and management argued with me instead of being apologetic , the manager certainly doesn t have the skill set to diffuse the situation at all ! Management agreed server was having a bad day but said they stand behind their staff and that she has taken some time to compose herself ??? Offered coupons for my inconvenience Will not return to this location Still upset and frustrated over the situation Ridiculous behaviour from both management and waitress arguing with a paying customer is never acceptable in any form, and trying to prove a point is never a good idea Waitress screwed up and gave horrible service period ! Defending her actions is like pouring salt on a wound Customers should be treated better period .
Place was ok, wasn t in for much other than to be fed quickly but I was ignored highly otherwise as I was solo. Food was served promptly and was good otherwise. Tried to ask for coffee but the waitress walked off on me. Place had a very unusual ad hoc layout to be able to be open in the morning with a side entrance blocked off in the mall
An Asian guy with glasses treated me very badly, we waited more than 20 minutes for him to take our order and when he did he was very arrogant and disrespectful, he yelled at me and yelled at my son and when he took the food I asked him for ketchup and he yelled at me that he had other tables to serve and I took an empty ketchup bottle, very bad experience as a tourist, I dont want to return and they should train customer service more
The food and service were fantastic! The omelette was one of the best I ve ever eaten!
Excellent service. Great food. Breakfast was so good, we came back again the next day.
Feels like the place has been going downhill. Last 2 trips food wasnt great. Ordered turkey Sausage and it tastes like freezer burn on one trip, on another asked for eggs over easy and they were served over hard. Seems like they always mess up the order somehow
Arrived around 9 am with minimal people in the restaurant. Basically had to beg for a coffee and when the manager came over she apologized and wanted to tell us about her staffing troubles. Eggs came out burnt . Just another chain breakfast that was very poor
Not much different than any other major chain. Staff seemed a little pushy for us to order which set me off.
Found multiple hairs in one food item, im mortified. Cannot imagine the rest of the food. It was thrown out.
A disappointing experience overall. Food was barely warm, had to ask for condiments. There wasnt a quality check and water wasnt refilled. My request for berries even at an additional charge wasnt fulfilled. The server was nice enough, and the overall feel of the restaurant wasnt overly clean or pleasant. I wouldnt recommend or go back. Kid-friendliness: Crayons and coloring were provided along with a decent kids menu.
Live music was awesome
Have been several times. Early in the morning it s passable. Mid-morning it is so busy you can be ignored for 15 minutes. Not even a coffee. For what is basically a breakfast diner the total absence of service is unacceptable. But hey, it s so busy they don t care.
Worst place to try for breakfast. I ordered oatmeal. I got my coffee 20 mins later, I got bacon and toast 15 mins later, but still no oatmeal. I got up and left and no one noticed. I waited at the front to pay and no one stopped by to ask me anything.
Its about what youd expect a Cora to be.
it a standard coras with good service and good food. with lots of coffee
Generous servings, great menu selection , tasty and well prepared, very friendly and helpful staff.
Been to several Cora locations in Halifax/Bedford, and this is by far my favorite. The service is great, professional and friendly. The portions are pretty generous, and lots of choices and although the food was good a few times, sadly this time i was a bit disappointed: we asked for soft eggs and no banana, we got medium and banana. And because we dont like food waste we didnt send it back. It all goes to garbage. Plse kitchen staff be more careful with order details. Potatoes were a bit burnt. And there are too many fruits in the plates. TBH, i never finish them. 1 suggestion about the fruits: maybe give the options to choose how many fruits (2, 3, etc, just like you do for eggs) so there is no waste. Maybe create a fruit set to choose from: tropical, seasonal, etc. Cutlery was missing. Still we had a great service from Carla. A big shout out. Thank you!
I liked this place a lot. Portions are big and food is nice
Love this place. A little pricey for my taste, but the food is good
Clean location, fast service, and consistently good food.
Always the best breakfast support in town.
with a bit of negotiation with the waiter he made me do what I wanted...often lacking in stock...ex: white bread, bologna etc.
Love there breakfast
nom nom nom. very good. our waitress was working all alone but she was so kind and helpful.
My favorite breakfast & brunch restaurant . I come alone or with a friend/family member often. Like 2-3× a month! Highly recommend the 1990s Harvest for those who want their breakfast and sweet tooth satisfied in the same meal. The staff are friendly, fast and accommodating. Gluten-free options are available here! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free available
Food choice is great, but food is just ok. Accommodating for children
There s a block of cut banana in the crepe, not spread in there, just all together. I love the food at Cora s, I just hope the take out quality will be checked
Normally fantastic. This time the food tasted off. The flat top probably needed a cleaning. Will definitely give another try.
I looked at the picture and thought it was okay so I went...but...so so~~ Canadian fruit really...
Good breakfast, slightly longer waiting time - overall I would give it almost 4.5 stars..there are better but also much worse restaurants :)
Just as expected from Coras restorant good food and good service!
As usual the food at Coras was very good, especially the blueberry pancakes! The waitress was exceptional, very pleasant to chat with.
Excellent food and service! I particularly enjoyed the Theo omelette. There were four of us and we all loved the place and the food.
Our waitress was very attentive despite being a full and busy morning. Meals were perfect and delicious. Large portions for a decent price. The restaurant is a little tired looking and probably needs an upgrade but it fits the bill of diner food.
Kids lived it! Amazing menu
We arrived with little time to spare, as we had to catch a plane. We informed the server and she advised the manager, who assisted with having our orders filled as soon as possible. The strawberry banana smoothie was yummy, as was the turkey sausage and chicken caesar wrap. Service was professional and friendly, and the kids menu was extensive. Coras is always a pleasant experience!
Never disappointed with Coras, consistently great food!
Amazing service from waitresses!
Good food. Terrible service. 35 mins for a bagel.
Went here 3 out of the 4 days in town. The only disappointment was the 1st day we couldnt get here for the early bird specials of $8.95 before 8am. The food was good, service polite and close to our hotel.
An absolutely unacceptable order delivered today morning. Potatoes burnt, french toast were cinnamon buns, less than a scoops worth of egg, benedicts had no taste. The state of the whole order was astoundingly incredible. Scammed. All rounded to 60$.
Great place for breakfast! Variety of options. Unlike other places they actually serve plenty of fruits in the platter.
The restaurant struck me as very unfriendly, the food preparation was very bad, some of the food was burnt and the staff did not pay any attention from the time we started to the time we left. At our checkout, we responded to the cashier with a very unfriendly attitude. Very disappointed
I have always loved their food and have eaten in other restaurants for a long time, so I choose to believe in Cora brand, but today at lunch, I think my potatoes are overcooked, that is not edible, but no one asked us how the food tasted. So when I told the clerk at the checkout that my food was overcooked, she just said okay and asked me how to pay, not sorry. This made my dining experience very bad and will not be coming back!
I think cooking potatoes is the most basic and simple thing for bruch, But not for this shop, where they can fry potatoes completely burnt on one side and almost raw on the other. There was no waiter to ask how the dish was going, and no one to see even as we ate. I struggled to swallow my burnt food, and the cashier at the door was unapologetic about my reaction. This is unacceptable, I would never dine at this restaurant again.
Very affordable considering the amount of food served. It seems like they dont deep fry the potatoes, just grill on the outsides. Some people will not enjoy it. There is a lot of fruits included. I didnt like the holandaise sauce on my Benedict eggs that much. Other than that it was ok.
Loved dining at Cora s ! Staff are friendly and the design is so cute
Breakfast potatoes were quite burnt to the point of charcoal on most of them; not good value for the dollar. Washroom was dirty
Nice place, excellent service.
Nice choice of menu and small of everything in a platter is an interesting way to attract diverse crowds. I liked the Eggs skillet. One small room for improvement, Just look at the colour of breads :)
Lovely food! Homely ambience!
Slow service for a breakfast joint. Its a bit pricey for what you get and the menu is complicated. This morning my waitress reminded me that this restaurant wasnt McDonalds and that I shouldnt expect fast service. I gently reminded her that I had been waiting for over 20 minutes for a single dish and she took it the wrong way. I went to McDonalds and they hooked me up in under 2 minutes and served me with a smile, something that you will not get at Coras. For a third of the price too.
Delicious courteous friendly playful fun! What a great way to start our day.Stef was our server and made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. Excellent experience!
Best place for breakfast and brunch. Varieties of food options easy to costomize few dishes to veg option. Nice staff. Platting is very eye-catching. Always fresh ingredients.
Ive always loved going to Coras, and this experience was no exception. Delicious food - I ordered Louis the Undecided, which is great because it is a little bit of everything. Our server, Soomi was so nice. She was very friendly, and checked on us at exactly the right time. Another great experience!
Despite being very busy, staff were super friendly and very accommodating. Food was great too
Great breakfast place! Love the early bird specials! My waitress was nice!
Really happy with the food and service at this location. Was quick!
The single waitress they had was a nice lady, but she was flustered due to it being busy. Coming from a larger city, we were surprised but accepted it. Order came really late, all patrons were waiting for a long time. Bathrooms had no towels and food was poor quality. Needs improvement
lovely breakfast :)
Tremendous breakfast choices. Great food, more than you think. The crepes are to die for.
Excellent and quick service. My server carla was very attentive.
Great place to grab breakfast or lunch. Wait time isnt bad at all from my experience, and the waiters are good with checking in with you. My only complaint was that the potatoes I got with my omelet looked undercooked. I would give 4.5 stars if I could. Everything else I got was fresh and delicious, and the servers are nice which is always a good thing. The takeout boxes are also made from some type of paper I believe which I liked!
Excellent great fast. Manu has many options and Im hope to try them all ... this year!! Would definitely recommend this place
Everybody loves Cora. And why not. Great food, generous portions, good service, no music, comfortable sitting. Highly recommend.
I enjoy eating at Coras. They have an interesting breakfast menu with lots of choices. I had the cocoa hazelnut spread fruit crepe. However the crepe was a bit under cooked and the cacao spread was too overpowering and masked the taste of the fruit.
Excellent place for breakfast, recommended for early risers, this way you will avoid a wait, although a short one that is not always desired. An assorted and flexible menu, generous portions, well prepared and at a reasonable price. Spacious facilities, pleasant atmosphere that is enjoyable and attentive staff. I would definitely return and recommend visiting.
Go to Tempo Food + Drink for lunch instead of this place. The service was very passable. The waitress or cook forgot an entire item. I went there at two different times. Its better to go there around midday, maybe there are more staff... than when the restaurant opens. For what I ate, the main course was delicious, a disgusting mokaccino, a very large container of excellent Hollandaise sauce but completely unrelated to the main course. I would go if there was nothing else open?! Or come to Cora on Mt-Royal Avenue in Montreal or the one near the Ste-Foy bus station in Quebec, you will fall in love with the quality of the food and the staff.
We always like it in Canada, but it has become considerably more expensive in a few years.
The staff is always good however the food is always a hit or a miss The sausage and Potato wedges wouldnt ever recommend there always undercooked. You are better off going to waffle love its always better I find.
Very good choices on menu and all freshly cooked. Good service and friendly staff.
We are visiting from Ottawa and we were lucky to start every day of our vacation with a wonderfully prepared breakfast at this restaurant. Dawn, our server, took care of all of our needs and Stephanie, the owner, treated us to a special anniversary dessert (two apples carved into swans with strawberries carved into hearts swimming in caramel and cream fresh). We will always remember their kindness and courtesy.
I enjoyed eating at Cora. I highly recommend it. The staff was friendly and the place was clean and cozy
My favorite place for breakfast and I am not looking to look for another place, everything is delicious and delicious and my child loves food there
Food was good but slow service - there was only one server.
I love this place, my favourite breakfast unfortunately Carla the Manager at Dresden Row has a very unwelcoming attitude. Basically kick us out immediately there was a plate empty, it s not even busy to need the table. I couldn t even finish my drink. I think I rather go to other Coras or find other breakfast places.
Good breakfast, bad service They are trying to rotate the tables as soon as possible. Server was asking for the bill before we were done Won t go to this location again.
Great service food wait wasnt to long
Coras isnt always my first choice , but i went and it was disgusting , immediately got food poisoning from their extremely undercooked sausages. I had to leave work we called to inform the manager and she basically told us theres no way cause they cook their food a certain way . Definitely wont be back!
Great food! Our waitress Carla was very kind, and lovely to talk to. Overall great experience. Would come again.
Its always a great meal. And the service is at the same level
Good food. Good portions. Clean place and good atmosphere.
Great early morning breakfast specials during the week
The Service was lousy, I waited 40 minutes to pay, I ask so many times the waitresses that I finished and Id like to pay, but they said they cannot do that and they will call someone, but they didnt. We even went to the front to pay but they ask us to sit, that was so weird, WE JUST WANTED TO PAY, and after 40 minutes waiting another waitress ask us If we paid. Of course we said we didnt and they she said that she thought we paid. In conclusion not going there again, the food was not bad but not good either. Sadly I lost so much time, when we wanted to visit more places in Halifax. If you are a tourist, I dont recommend this place is not worth it.
Enjoyed breakfast, goood energy as always.
A great place downtown with a menu that will please everyone. Gluten-free options, vegetarian bean patty, fantastic service and all-around breakfast expertise. A weekend morning favourite! Vegetarian options: The black bean patty is delicious, it is a meat substitute for the egg/bacon plates. Dietary restrictions: The gluten-free bread is perfectly toasted and tastes wonderful.
Today we had Renee, I was hungover as balls and felt really horrible but her friendly personality and customer service certainly eased my pain. She was so funny and we had such great conversation, the place was packed but Renees shining moment was her ability to juggle table upon table but still check on us and keep our coffee full and a smile on our face. The food was excellent too but Renee, you rock baby!
Great choice
Rude staff
Food is cold and I found a hair in my food.
My husband took me to Coras when I first came to visit him six years ago, and Ive been addicted since. Weve always had excellent service and the food had always been absolutely amazing, but I have to say that Coras (this one particularly, on Dresden Row) really became our superstar during this pandemic. They kept serving HFX area through it all and always with good humor and kindness. The prices are great, the portions are just right and recently weve had to start getting gluten free options for my husband, and they always make sure to let me know whats good for him and if it isnt theyll do substitutes or leave something that could tempt him out.
Good breakfast
Little expensive but best breakfast. My wife love the place
Had a great experience here. The food is typical for what you can expect at Cora. Great service, too.
This place is cool, I got the for the club breakfast. It was about 12 bucks I think, but 50 cents from every order goes to feeding local under privilege kids. So thats a bonus, I always like when places do that. Nice set up as well and the rest of the menu looked pretty good too. They seem to incorporate alot of fruit into their dishes
It was delicious and very good service
Food was burnt in parts and raw in parts toast was barely cooked and I noticed they dont wear gloves when makeing some of the food like toast we had a good view .the one good thing was the waitress very nice and friendly .it was my first time goin it will be the last!
Consistent service and food
Waste of money. I ordered through an app and got the peameal bacon eggs benedict and pancakes. It came with two thin slices of peameal bacon that couldnt cover half the English muffin and 9 small cut up taters. To top it off i got one half ounce cup of syrup for the pancakes. No napkins.
I had ordered from the Dresden Row location for my birthday and was very unhappy with what I had picked up. The potatoes were uncooked and burnt on the other side, my smoothie was chunky, all the eggs were brunt, wrong, or looked like they were scrapped from the pan, Squished pancakes under the ham and sausages. We were on time to pick up yet the food was still cold. We were the only order it seemed as they didnt ask for my name so very unhappy with this Coras. My next time with Cora will be going out of my way to find the ones out fo the city.
We ordered a wide selection of items for a stay-at-home Mothers Day brunch and it was all very yummy!
Unique menu, lots of breakfast to choose from. I enjoy the creepies.
Parking is somewhat difficult for the vehicle I drive , the construction is everywhere. The server was terrific. Food portions are great. They clean between guests and one way in and one way out . I would recommend.
Love the food , nice staff too
Great beginning of the day.
Always great food and the fruit is so fresh. Great service as well!
Good service, great staff, clean place, me and my boys enjoyed a lot even my boys liked the place and want to come a lot. I recommend visiting this place, it deserves five stars and more.
Great service with a smile and tasty food...we sat by the window which is the best seat in the house
Made big order for pickup. Ask for carry bag .Answer is , we don t have any carry bag . Food was good, except fruits not fresh .
Great menu Usually busy If u like eggs plates, wraps, dishes Or omlete And crepe all sorts Then this is the place for u
I ve tried this location 3 times through skip the dishes in the last few months. Each time I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, as I know from experience this work can be stressful, but there was always just gross issues. My most recent time I sipped my smoothie to get a small piece of metal in my mouth. I opened the box with my food and it had dirty finger prints over everything including my crepe, which was almost completely empty. The bacon was burnt black, the eggs were literally raw, and it was missing the 4 dollar custard. Quite literally everything, was done with no effort and it was disgusting. I will not be back here
The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is good but the portions are way too much.
Came with family, good food some things not quite perfect service was busy but the staff kept up and were very nice!
Always good. Never fails.
Bah.
This restaurant has lots of sweet and savory options making it perfect for breakfast.
Well below the level of other cora restaurants we have visited. The service was slow and had to ask for cutlery & refills. The home potatoes werent cooked so very blah and mushy..bacon was paper thin like you get on Timmies breakfast sandwich which is frustrating when paying almost $15 for your meal. Tea was bitter and harsh tasting. By far not up to the standard of Cora franchise elsewhere. Wont be returning to this location ever.
Bit of a wait, but expected for long weekend before university starts. Service was excellent and so was the food.
The absolutely perfect shop for breakfast and more - the selection on the menu is so large and everything looks delicious - you can hardly decide. Service is also great 5 stars Plus - absolute top recommendation
Been a long time customer - nearly 13 years and out of towner - but this Sunday morning when there for bfast, I find the attention to cleanliness is missing - there was one family with young children and the parent was freely walking to get her own cutlery, sauces etc - surprised to say the least, especially during this difficult COVID period and to top it all, the staff did not seem to be concerned at all. Well, I am not returning to this place anymore! Sometimes one can wonder how our loyalty and warm feelings can be misguided - it only takes an incident. Unfortunate - mais cest la vie (as these French speaking customers would say!) Feel not so great to write this and to bid goodbye to not coming back to his restaurant anymore. *** I do not agree... Per the response: ...was happy to help out, as we got busy earlier than usual! Rest assured, she followed all protocols today as with any day she is working, and is very familiar with our quality standards! ... However, the individual was actually self-erving the family and I am sorry I do not agree. Anyway, this is not going to be rectified in terms of how I feel. I am sure this is correctable with the right approach. Thanks for the years when I have enjoyed dining.
The front desk service Halifax downtown is painful Cora needs to train the staff
Overpriced for the food quality and portions sizes. Food was not even good, service is ok.
Horrible Service came in at 11:55 and still waiting for food at 12:45 they say new chefs is the reason. That s not my issue that s your issue
Food is great. Friendly staff. Love the relaxing vibe.
I like their food and haven t been there in a while must visit- I hope they are still making their fudge!!
Not busy and yet, customer service was very slow Our server lingered at another table for long chats, probably because they were regular customers We had to wait 10 minutes for the initial service (coffee, etc.). When the food came, (brought by a different server), it was good, but our own server was slow to stop by, to see if the food was okay Service for coffee top ups continued to be slow, unless we specifically asked for more coffee At one point, I finally had to walk over to one of the counters to get my own coffee All in all, we only saw our server a couple of times Service was adequate at best!
Filling it wasnt busy, but its in a great location so that a huge help
Breakfast was a bust for me. Eggs were over cooked, toast was cold. Too much fruit, tea water was too cold to brew tea properly. Just seemed rushed.
We visited the Cora at 1535 Dresden Row, Halifax, NS. On this Monday morning 11:15. We brought our 14 month daughter to Cora first time. She got egg allergy so we asked the waitress if the tuna melt with potatoes contain egg. The waitress alike a Korea guess by accent and she said not contain egg. We asked her again to doubled check. She said that the sandwich doesn t contain egg again. My daughter only had two bites. Than we took the rest of sandwich home. After got back to home, she cried, vomit everything out and had a very strong allergy reaction. I opened the take home tuna sandwich and found there is mayonnaise in the tuna mixture. I think mayonnaise contains egg should be a common sense. As a food server, she should know, and her manager should trained everyone working there. If a waitress doesn t sure, he/she should go check the chef. We never had this issue when visiting other restaurants. This could be very dangerous and life threatening to your customers. Please note the manager of the branch! Seriously!
Awesome experience and service
A lot of fresh fruit. Lots of food on the plate - lots of breakfast options on the menu. Eggs Benny were reasonably good (not raving but what you might expect from an all day breakfast place) About what you might expect from a just above chain diner; all the fresh fruit definitely makes it feel fresher. Friendly servers. Go with a big appetite.
Best waitress
