1649 Bedford Row, Halifax, NS B3J 3J4, Canada
Casual, storied Chinese spot with old-world flair offering dim sum & other Cantonese & Sichuan fare.
READ FIRST: If you want stir fried noodles order the Low-mein NOT the Chowmein. This is not a negative review and I quite enjoyed my meal (which I will get into later) but after reviewing nearly 40 different Chinese restaurants and always getting Chowmein at every single one, this is the first time that Chowmein did not have noodles. I ordered a vegtable Chowmein with only beansprouts as I did not want other vegetables with my noodles, however, upon getting back to my hotel with my order I realized I had a takeout container full of ONLY BEANSPROUTS. Now the customer service at The Great Wall was excellent as I immediately called the restaurant about my confusion (not having any noodles) and they told me that Chowmein does not have noodles, that is low-mein. They told me if I came back they would give me a plain low-mein (only has beansprouts). I picked up the pain low-mein and (after checking it had noodles) went back to the hotel. The "low-mein" was delicious with great flavor and portion size. I would recommend the "low-mein" to others looking to enjoy some stir-fried noodles. I also got a vegetable egg roll and that was also tasty. A subtle flavor with a crunchy crust and soft interior. Overall I really enjoyed my meal, but the whole experience did leave me confused after ordering Chowmein all my life to all of a sudden have it not include noodles? I would recommend this to others but would only recommend the low-mein, not the Chowmein. I included a photo of the beansprout Chowmein for reference as to the difference between their low-mein and Chowmein options.
This is an older Chinese restaurant downtown. We stumbled onto it as we were actually looking for another one. The decor is dated but clean and serviceable. Service is decent. As a native Chinese, I was pleasantly surprised by the food! It’s not Chinatown authentic but it’s much better than your typical Chinese American fare. As a foodie, I’d recommend them!
Sometimes you start craving other foods like Chinese or other Asian foods while on vacation. If you are from the USA this is not it. The server was the best part. We ordered pot stickers, pork fried rice and chicken chow mein. The chow mein wasn’t fried more like low mein boiled and very liquid. The pot stickers were on the smaller side with no pot sticker sauce but a very spicy sauce. The BBQ pork fried rice wasn’t great but it was what I ended up eating because it was the best thing we ordered. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
We came here for dinner. The vibe is very chinese. We love the interior and the music. You can really feel the authenticity of a Chinese restaurant. We ordered fried wonton (5☆) for appetizers. And yang chow fried rice, vegetable lo-mien and salt and pepper squid (5☆) for main course. It is so good and flavorful. 5☆s for the service, too.
“I’ve been to many similar restaurants, but this one truly stands out. The attention to detail and commitment to guest service set it apart from the rest.” Try the ginger beef
Been eating here for years, the food is super hot and delicious when it comes out of the kitchen. Service is excellent, ginger beef is the star of the show and I love the Hunan chicken.
Delicious food! I got the C2 combo and the honey garlic ribs were to die for! The egg roll and pot stickers were also super yummy. 4 stars because the fried wontons were not very good and had very little wonton in them (honestly it was just a tiny piece of pork). Otherwise I definitely recommend this restaurant for some great Chinese food.
Stopped in for a quick lunch. I was greeted by incredibly lovely faces who quickly got us our food. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The food was phenomenal at an incredibly great price! 10/10 on every account. I can’t wait to come back and try more things!
Best fried rice Ive ever had, everything was amazing, will.be returning
Love their food! Especially their chicken Lo mein
Cantonese chow mein was amazing
Ordered togo as they were closing (I didnt realize at the time). They were super nice and the food was really good.
Always fresh and hot We do takeaway Food
In fact, it can only be regarded as a Chinese restaurant with sloppy cooking. It is not delicious. It is just because we were hungry and rushed to satisfy our hunger once, not the second time. There are no dishes worth recommending. As for the service, I had to rush four times to order the food, which seemed very reluctant.
I came here for lunch while visiting Halifax. The food was great, in large amount and at a reasonable price, plus a very good service. I recommend the Kung Po Chicken
Great Vegetarian options: Great Food : 5/5 |
Excellent staff /food was great.ThankYou. Keep smiling
Small portions. Mid food. Restaurant seemed very outdated, very dim lights and not many people. Overall average
Terrible service. No customers in the restaurant as I entered. Only the owner speaking with the cashier. They completely ignored me for 15 minutes. I decided to leave & kept going as they called me back. Will never ever return to the Great Wall Chinese restaurant.
Incredible. I go here for the ginger beef every time I come back home.
The female owner of this store has a mean temper and treats customers like a mad dog. I will never go to this horrible place again. She is even more hateful than the CCP.
Delicious American/Canadian Chinese food. Good service and good taste. There are two sets of menus, Chinese and Western. I came here just to eat Western-style Chinese food. Large portions and very affordable prices
I had a combo here a couple days ago. The fried rice had a nice smokey taste from the wok but the rice consistency was a bit firm, the chicken in the chicken balls was tough and not as tender as i expect. The eggroll was tasty and the spare ribs were tasty . I had a combo plate from here last yr and all the items were great. Im not sure why the inconsistency. Their ginger beef is definitely recommended as well. I d rather leave a solid review for everything but when i spend my hard earned $ on a meal i want it to be good. Thanks
A fantastic place to eat, with a great variety of delicious choices, and excellent service & staff! Definitely returning next time were in Halifax.
I have ordered from this restaurant multiple times. Always big portions, fresh ingredients and taste amazing! I will for sure be ordering more and more Food
It is fine, nothing extraordinary in terms of chinese cuisine..but the location is great!
My husband and I came here for Supper. The restaurant seemed dated and in need of some cleaning for its location and reputation. The service was great, wasnt happy that we had to ask for chop sticks and bowls as we are Caucasians and thought we needed just a knife and fork instead?. The food was very very average Cantonese (south east Asia) cuisine. We order the Beef and black bean sauce, I had to battle to scratch for sauce, and the beef were almost no where to be seen, as there were so much vegetable in the plate. The prawn rice, was tasteless. The pork Cantonese style, were okay, so much vegetables, 2 small pieces of pineapple, and very very little sauce. The amount of food was so so little, lucky we bought two plates of food, but it wasnt value for money. It was a very average experience. Sorry but wont be coming back for mediocre food every.
Flavors were mediocre
Amazing customer service and the food was cooked perfectly all homemade gave us a lot of food
Poor 1st impression, as the waiter was sat at a table eating, and reading a paper. I don t expect staff to be eating front of house! The food was reasonably priced, but didn t inspire in any way. A late afternoon meal, so the place was very quiet. Next time in Halifax, I ll try somewhere else.
Average
My favourite egg rolls in the city (served with housemade plum sauce). Always fresh, always big portions. Such a gem of a place.
Atmosphere is a bit dated but we took a han e and tried it on our recent trip to Halifax and we were so happy we did.wonderful food, quick to arrive at the table, reasonable prices and friendly waitstaff. We all hope we get an opportunity to go back soon.try the giinger beef, hunan chicken, Singapore noodles and sweet and sour pork. Amazing!!
Food is better than some of the other places nearby. Chicken lo mein was solid.
The food was too oily. The oil tasted like it was from a long time ago. I won t eat here again. Best to avoid.
We were a party of nine. We had to change the time of our reservation a couple of times and they were very accommodating. Food was excellent. Loved the ginger beef. Service was very efficient. Kid-friendliness: The staff were so accommodating of our 2 year old grandson. He didn t want to sit very long so we watched the fish and ran around in the back section of the restaurant which was unoccupied. They were so nice.
Has been operating since the 70s. Always busy. Always good food.
A couple of years ago we had a Christmas day issue and ended up getting Chinese food from the Great Wall for Christmas. The food was great and this has turned into a family tradition for three years now. The turkey comes on boxing day which us less hectic for us. Service great and the food is awesome, I highly recomend trying the food out, you will not be disappointed.
Order the Ginger Beef ! Truly a hidden gem downtown ! This cozy hole in the wall is retro charming. My special lady and Is preferred hideaway spot. Food : 5/5 |
Awsome fresh food ! Great fresh taste. I will be back again.
Some of the best ginger beef I ve tried in Halifax. Their Cantonese chow mein was also nice and crunchy, with a good portion of seafood. Would definitely come back - great value for money.
Was looking for awesome ginger beef, found awesome ginger beef. Went here last night (Tuesday) and the place was empty so I was a bit worried about the freshness of the food (I used to work at a Chinese restaurant as a teenager). We Ordered the egg roll, spring roll, fried wontons, ginger beef, Cantonese chow mein and bbq pork chop suey. It appears that the egg roll isn t the traditional meat paste but seems to be identical to the spring roll filling. However it was perfectly fried (not cold or greasy) and nice and meaty. The fried wontons were also very crispy and fresh, we really enjoyed them. Ginger beef? Perfection. Sweet and crispy and saucy and not too spicy (we asked for mild) Cantonese chow mein was a bit salty and super crispy but as I m eating the leftovers now with the sauce all nicely absorbed it s really good. The seafood in it was very nice quality. Not sure if you need to specify that you want crispy noodles but we did just in case (it s description doesn t really say it) Bbq pork Chop suey (bean sprouts) were great but I d say their bbq pork wasn t top notch in flavour. overall I was expecting sub par food, but received excellent food. Will be back for more ginger beef for sure!
Lots of good dishes to savour and enjoy.
Delicious food! The egg rolls were perfectly crispy, the pot stickers were perfect, and I really enjoyed my BBQ pork chow mein. I would absolutely order from here again as its some lf the best Chinese food Ive had in Halifax. Definitely hit the spot!
Go and try out their specialty dishes, youll love it. Beef and chicken shezwuan is my favorite.
The food was soo good, staff were super friendly and the music they had playing was top notch!. What a wonderful place to go on date night. 20/10 would come back.. scratch that we will be back. I had the lemon chicken and my boyfriend got the mu shu pork.
The food is good. Good prices. Wasnt too keen on the music.
Food was really good but does not have the wow factor, the beef with black bean sauce was really salty, as I mentioned to the waitress. However, our leftovers the next day were delicious, and not salty at all. Great service, not very busy inside the restaurant, lots of take out orders. The music was not favourable to us at all. Too loud in a spot like this as well. Dinner music should be soft and low.
Good food and service but could use a dessert menu and an updated decor. Their egg rolls are also like I know them, with veg instead of meat paste. Yum!
Nice quiet place in downtown Halifax, decent food, small family run restaurant. Very nice staff, very friendly and attentive Lovely pleasant evening overall Food
First time coming to this restaurant. Doesn t look like much from the outside. Great ambiance and service. Food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant. We will be coming here again!
Service and food was great, owner lurking nearby watching over my shoulder was not so nice
Great staff and great food, now my favorite for Chinese food.
Lovely food and service from this Chinese restaraunt. Good choice of dishes. Visited Thursday evening. When we arrived there were several guests but by the time we left at 19:30 we were the only ones so no atmosphere. Wheelchair accessibility: Level access.
Vegetarian options: Lots of Vegetarian Options that arent at all boring. Also not much dairy in the menu which is great for me. Dietary restrictions: My partner is a diabetic and he raves about this food, the only Chinese food that doesnt raise his blood sugar levels. He especially loves the chicken chow mein and beef and broccoli. But even the chicken balls, chicken fried rice were okay as well. Kid-friendliness: Friendly staff give fortune cookies, crayons, smiles, and lots of fish to look at and distract the kiddos! Wheelchair accessibility: Street level, no stairs so easy access.
The Chicken Curry, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef Chop Suey was delicious. The Great Wall Fried Rice is the best!
Food was delicious but not worth the food poisoning you ll get. Take it from me, i got sick two times in a row and the second time I spent the whole night puking and in the ER for 7hs.
Love this place
We are visiting Halifax today and feel very lucky to have dinner here since the quality and service are superb!
One of the best Chinese foods Ive had in a long time. Make sure to visit this restaurant!!
delicious, generous portions, and affordable! truly some of the best Chinese food I ve ever had!
No frills restaurant, which is how I knew already it was going to be solid food; I was right! We had ginger fried beef, veggie lo mein, veggie spring rolls, and Mongolian beef. All of it was amazing, would recommend!
Food and service were ok, but 3/5 because we felt that the portion sizes were pretty small and value could be better.
Chow mein is very salty and unpleasant, and the dishes are not large.
Excellent Kung pao chicken and Mongolian chicken. Best on the east coast
This place has really gone down hill in recent years. Ordered 5 dishes tonight, 3 of them containing chicken. All 3 of them the chicken was gone bad, when brought up to the server they refused to take them off our bill and still charged us over 100$. I will be filing a complaint with the province. I m a chef and I am disgusted with the lack of concern over having served bad chicken. Avoid at all costs
Sister Yu is so easy to introduce, I cannot recommend her enough!
excellent food and excellent service
Food took much longer them expected. Although the food was good.
Best food in Halifax and best service from the loveliest people. Cant recommend enough.
Wouldn t recommend, we ate two bites out of each dish (got 5 dishes) and couldn t stomach the rest
The food was really fantastic and plenty, the service was very fast and great, the price is very good. I will definitely go back again! My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed it! My brother actually went back again the next evening for dinner with family.
Amazing, first time trying here, and we will be making the trip back. Chicken balls actually had chicken in them, so guy nice and Crispy but wasnt all batter
Great C6 combo
This is by far, the best Cantonese Restaurant in Halifax. Friendly, Fast, Thoughtful staffs, great service. We ordered Seafood double hapiness, Young Chow fried rice and Mince Beef and egg drop thick soup (i think this one is like mixture of Congee and Soup). It was tasty and fresh. Gonna come back to try other dishes on the menu.
Amazing food and fast service!
I enjoyed their food in past - until. Ordered online. Approx $100.00 order. Huge mistake. Never arrived. They blame delivery service. Called twice. Continued to blame delivery - not my fault they say. I assert its there product and they must assure delivery. They say in future call us directly. I say my food is not here now. Clearly a different set of values. Different understanding of customer service. If you make it, you must ensure delivery. No excuses. I have no food. They have $100. A horrible experience. Avoid at all costs - they just dont care.
First time having food from this restaurant. Absolutely delicious. Looking forward to be able to dine in the next time.
Excellent North American Chinese food. Stopped in for lunch with only a limited amount of time to eat. The meal tasted great and was served hot, fresh, and fast. Was also a generous portion for the price. The server was very attentive too.
Guess Great Wall is the best Chinese food i town . The first time I had Great Wall food was in 2003 and after almost 20 years , Great Wall is still the best Chinese food restaurant in Halifax !
Amazing family-run Chinese restaurant! The food was incredibly fresh & the spicy salt, pepper squid was well-coated & crispy. Can t wait to come back on our next visit to Halifax. Thanks for the amazing dinner!
Amazing staff. Ask for the hot sauce - it makes everything come alive!
Probably the most bland fried rice I have ever had :( I really wanted to like it but it has literally no flavour and cost $12.
Horrible food. All mushy and tasteless. Never again.
Best Chinese in the city. Good atmosphere, large koi tank, crispy and light wontons and attentive servers. Everything one could want from a standard western Chinese restaurant.
Best chinese restaurant!! Quick delivery, fun dine-in atmosphere, lovely staff, and really good food. The Singapore noodles slap. Dont have any photos of a full meal because I always dig in so fast. Here is a photo of the last C1 combo that was just demolished
Food are good especially the noodles are very delicious! Only give four star because the quantity of the pork and beef are less than we are expected!
Delicious food. Delicious dim sum
Went to Halifax from Vaughan, passed by the Great Wall Restaurant, and went in to buy takeout. The boss and his wife were very kind, and everyone had a great time talking in Cantonese.
Good authentic cantonese food, fast and friendly service. Nice experience !
great food and cheap prices!! service was great!
Love the dim sum
Good Chinese restaurant in Halifax, if the carpet can be replaced will be great.
FINALLY somewhere in Halifax that doesnt have meat paste egg rolls!
Hot and fresh food. Good service as well. Will go again when in Halifax
I think this is best Chinese restaurant in Halifax, if the environment can be improved, that will be better, highly recommended: Braised Beef Brisket with Potatoes
Yummy as always, still my favorite Chinese restaurant in Halifax.
Best Chinese food on the peninsula at a reasonable price. They have a cool fish tank at the restaurant too !
Great chinese to go to if in NS food taste good, staff was friendly even with us having kids-they entertained them(always appreciate the welcome) and we kept reordering cause it was that good-they were quick!
I am very familiar with North American Asian restaurants so I feel confident in saying this was a very good one. The food was well-prepared, very spicy to our liking and very tasty. The amount of food was adequate and not overwhelming. Don t pay attention to the decor, it s a bit outdated but has no bearing on the experience. And an added bonus: the chopstick was NOT single-use which is very important to me.
An excellent Chinese restaurant, a large, extensive menu, reasonable prices and huge portions. Very pleasant service and friendly staff. All the food was perfectly prepared, leaving only positive impressions.
The seafood casserole was not very flavorful and the size was small. However, the spicy julliened beef was good. Service was very poor and for some reason we got a different menu from the other people who were eating there.
Great food. Great price
This is by far the best Chinese food in the city that I have tried so far. I can understand why they had to retire the category in the best of food for The Coast. First off...their claim to fame is two things. Number one is the chicken fried rice. Their wok they use for this is seasoned to perfection and their fried rice has a nice smoky flavour like it is supposed to. The lady that thought it tasted too much like Soy needs to be ordering steamed rice instead, because this is what Chicken fried rice is supposed to be. Its exactly what sets it apart from the other Chinese restaurants in the city. That and the fact that everything tastes fresh and made to order. Vegetables are never overcooked in their dishes. Something some of these restaurants fail at. Best Kung Pao in the city, best rice, and their chicken balls are good as well from mine and my friends experience...Also, their spring rolls and egg rolls are fresh and great too...This is the only restaurant where I eat the spring and egg rolls instead of giving them to the person I am eating with.***update...as of nov 2022 ...still consistant ***
Our favourite Chinese food in Halifax! The chicken fried rice is amazing, it s not just a filler, I could eat an entire plate of it! Our favourite ginger beef in the city as well. Lots of different dishes to try. The service is always fast and friendly. Our only complaint is that it smells a bit musty inside.
Fricken food is amazing. Cheap and fast delivery service. Its my go to place for Chinese. And portions are Def worth the price the only I give them a one star bc I havent been inside yet. It will always be my go to place !
Stopped by for the lunch special. Delicious. Very fast service with INCREDIBLY good food. Quick, delicious, and inexpensive - what more could you want?
Wonderful, fresh and tasty Cantonese style Chinese food. Great staff.
We were the only customers
Always prompt and polite service, usually earlier than estimated delivery time and the quality is great. Our go to spot everytime
it was so so good, service awesome
Overall it was a great experience
I am a Toronto-based actor, in Halifax shooting a TV show and like everyone else, undergoing quarantine in a hotel as soon as I arrived. I ordered dinner in every night and decided to give Great Wall a try, even after a disappointing experience with another Chinese restaurant days before. Nothing fancy shrimp lo mein and young chow fried rice (rice was following days dinner), in order to spend over $30 for free delivery. I was more than impressed by the quality of the food, and the huge portion. The egg noodles were fried perfectly, tasty and not mushy, and the shrimps were reasonably big (12 of them!) and tasted fresh. Fried rice was good, though not as out of the ball park as lo mein, needed a touch more soy sauce. All in all, impressive!
Best Chinese food in Halifax hands down. Incredible service, even better food.
Awesome food!
Best won ton soup and egg rolls around.
milk tea hongkong style is great. Black peper beef is perfect.
Best Chinese
Classic North American Chinese takeout. Ticks all the boxes.
Very clean and friendly restaurant. Excellent sizzling chicken
Great food, great service!!
Food is very good
Great place for good spicy food, enjoyed the house speciality fried rice. Great Singapore noodles as well.
Food is awesome
Good quality North American style Chinese food. The restaurant was kept clean, the service was fast and friendly. The price point was super reasonable. The location is great if youre downtown! I have visited a few times, and have always left feeling full, and satisfied
Fantastic Singapore noodles. Very impressed.
Great service, big portions, if it aint broke...
Ginger beef was amazing, great experience!
Food was delicious. We were traveling and eating alot of deep fried food. Wanted something a little different. We were the only people in the restaurant which made us a little nervous that we picked the wrong place. But its also covid time. The girls were busy with takeout so I took it as a good sign. We couldnt of been happier when our food came.
Solid late-night food in a classically decorated restaurant. Professional and charming hostess.
It is my second time here . The food is really Canton Hong Kong style . Very authentic indeed ! The roasted duck is good ! Price is right ! Will certainly come back for more ! Actually every dish is fantastic. I promise you won t be disappointed!
Best Moo Shoo pork and spicy ginger beef Ive ever had.
We ordered Cantonese Chow Mein and Singapore deep fried noodles, very delicious. Also their service is excellent and helpful. They helped us to find out the way to get back back our car because it was towed away by city. Thanks
Nice spot for no nonsense Chinese food. Lovely staff
The lady on the front counter is very rude. Believe me just because of her behavior I chose not to ear in this restaurant. Pathetic.
I have been going to the Great Wall since they were on the Granville side of TD Bank!! Still the best Chinese food I have eaten!!!!! Thank you for your wonderful food. Say Hi to retired Patrick and Ling.
Lightning service ,ordered and delivered in 20 mins. Won ton soup was delicious as was the Pork Foo Yung. Definately worth it
Food was terrible not even close to being worth what I spent very sad hard to find good food nobody seems to give a s... anymore
If your downtown Halifax looking for a Chinese restaurant this is the place. Great food and service. Priced very well.
What the... How is this the best Chinese restaurant in Halifax, I wonder. I mean, its food.
Great food, but last experience the wait for the bill took very long.
Dont go here. The place is dirty and the water had debris floating in it. The food was disgusting, either too salty or no flavor
Service were terrible !! Came here for dim sum with my friends and they forgotten my fried shrimps. I had to asked for it after waiting for 30 minutes. The food was okay, not as delicious compare to Fan s(best place to get dim sum ). When we were about to pay the bill, we wanted to spilt the bill , but the cashier /waitress gave us an attitude. Never again I will go here.
Always very good food and friendly staff. Would go more often if I lived closer
Great service excellent food and a beautiful smile :)... Must go back.
Went there with my family but it must have been a bad time to go there because there was A LOT of yelling and arguing in the kitchen area. It eventually stopped but it wasnt a very welcoming moment. This place is very dated and not a very inviting place to eat. Definitely a strong smell of urine coming from the whole restaurant. Food was....it was just awful. We didnt really eat that much because of the smell. We tasted a little bit of it but we all agreed it was the worst Chinese food ever made. There was some entertainment though....watching two spiders dangling over our table, fighting each other...hence the one star.
Food was hot and delicious, service left something to be desired
The worst Cantonese food Ive ever eaten in Canada
Ordered delivery and it was an unfortunate first experience with this restaurant. I asked for sauce on the side because I don t like it, and of course everything arrived drenched in sauce. They don t do re-deliveries, so just had to not eat the food. Just turns me off of a place when they don t pay attention to detail and/or their customers.
Very good Canadian style Chinese cuisine. Portions were very good. Due to the Corona Virus we were the only customers. Unfortunate because people are missing out on very good meals.
I have to say the food here was pretty good but the waiter was very odd and was kinda all over the map I asked if I could have an add on to the combination plate that I wanted to order and he couldnt seem to give me an answer so he went to the kitchen staff and asked them if I could have an add on to my order he should know weather or not if I can have an add on its a basic question and something that he should know
Taste is very poor compared to the price. No seasonings. Quantity very less compared to the price. Never try their chow mein, it s like water and noodles with veggies. I ve had bad Chinese food, but never had gross Chinese food like this. Waste of money.
Ordered pick up and asked for pick up protocols before stopping in to pick up my order. The guy that greeted me wasnt wearing a mask. He went into the kitchen and came back out to tell me my order wasnt ready and still, wasnt wearing a mask. He came back out of the kitchen with my order about 5 minutes later and yet again wasnt wearing a mask. In the middle of a second wave! Shame. Will NEVER go back
Take out , just so much , meal for 2 would easily feed 3 or 4 , nicely cooked, vegetables perfect. Would go there again but we leave Halifax tomorrow
Friendly staff, great food and selection, reasonable cost.
Standard Chinese fare, but with fresh seafood, if thats your thing! Enjoyed it.
Overall the food was decent quality, price, and tasted good, as an American, it wasnt that specific Chinese takeout feel I was shooting for. I would eat there again, but dont expect the same taste as that standard Americanized Chinese takeout. Definitely a lot lighter and probably more towards a Panda Express approach type oriental food.
The food was very good, the ginger beef I have had was some of the best I have ever had. The lunch combos are a great deal. If you are downtown and in need of good Chinese food, you can not go wrong.
Poor food quality. Will never order from here again. S&S chicken balls are covered in VH Cherry Sauce. Fried rice was terrible.
The service was great. The place was clean. However, the food was very bland, not bad just not very tasteful. Taste is really subjective so take this review, if you will, with the proverbial grain of salt. Give this place a chance maybe its just me. You wont be disappointed by the amount of food.
The food is not good and a little pricy
As always. Amazing comfort foods at a reasonable price. Prompt and friendly service. The ginger beef is something that defines this place. Hot and sweet and delicious.
Authentic Cantonese food and good dim sum!
Excellent food and service! Enjoyed every minute.
Place smells moldy and musty, stains on seats and ceiling tiles.. bathroom was disgusting.. more water in the soap dispenser then actual soap.. Waitress was ignorant.. Food was alright, had trouble keeping the food down just the thought of everything else.. Should have turned around and left.. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Won-Ton soup was good. Chicken Lo Mein: greasy, not tasty. Expensive delivery fee. Fell sick a few hours after eating it.
Amazing
The only saving grace is their food is actually really good, I just never got to eat it... Ordered on the phone for delivery. The employee somehow misinterpreted my order request. So, when my order arrived, I found they mistakenly prepared 5 orders of an item I only wanted one of. I apologized for any miscommunication but I refused to pay for 4 of the 5 orders that pushed what should have been a $40 receipt into $100 territory. I was willing to pay for my original order but the delivery guy, and eventually the employee on the phone again, had the audacity to argue and try to force me to pay the entire receipt to cover the cost of THEIR mistake at MY doorstep. They were unwilling to negotiate a partial payment so I declined the order altogether. Very rude treatment, clearly money mattered more than customer satisfaction at the time.
Its perfect the owner are very friendly and the food is just fantastic!
Not what I expected
Good food and clean
Fast service, fresh food very reasonably priced and delicious.
Fantastic food and service
I went here this Sunday and I tried dumpling menu. I love the dumplings and the noodles. If they add vegetable menu, I will visit more often.
