Great service and delicious Pizza. My friend and I was desperately hungry whilst having at art show at NSCAD and this pizza shop is truly authentic. I love the soft pizza and the real Mozzarella thats melted over the pizza. Shawn was super kind. I highly recommend this place and Ill definitely be back!

Ceaser salad was fresh and all homemade. So delicious! Pizzas and wine selection were also fantastic. Highly recommend!

The crust was delicious, crispy and light. The spice and flavor of the Palermo toppings were the best I have had on a pizza in Halifax.

I used to have the the best caeser salad here, but couple years later when I returned, the salad dressing is unevenly mixed and barely any dressing, too much cheese almost make it bitter. The lobster roll tastes great. But you can only order a small size pizza for dine in.

We thought the food was mediocre. They had an interesting rule of us not being allowed to eat a large pizza in the restaurant. I guess not a big deal if getting personal pizzas but kinda killed the vibe for us.

I used to enjoy their pizza back in the 80 s or early 90 s and hadn t been there since . Absolutely delicious pizza and the lady serving is was delightful and very helpful. Highly recommend.

We had a Milano, Palermo and a Canadian pizza. They all taste great with fresh ingredients and a home made feel. Great cozy place to sit and have a pizza. Staff was super friendly and pizza size is good enough (9).

Truly though, the flavour... I dont know if I can accurately describe how good it was! I thought about taking a picture after wed finished it. (We got the New York 9) Two hours later my boyfriend turned to me and said we should have ordered one for later, to take home!

Went to Tomavinos for supposedly a great pizza. On a Wednesday evening (Around 6pm) we tried to order 2 medium pizzas. The front end staff told us that they didnt have any medium dough made up for eat in orders. We were told it would screw up their delivery orders.?. But if we wanted to order it to go that was fine. This made absolutely no sense to me. Since we were in Halifax from out of town..... taking a pizza back to the hotel wasnt what we were looking for. All we wanted to do was have a good pizza... and a few beers for supper. Couldnt believe the server wouldnt take our order. I guess he was ok with missing out on a (guessing 90-100) order. Also, there wasnt a sole in the restaurant. Lucky for us.... The extremely poor service here sent us looking for another spot. We actually ended up at Salvatores Pizzaiola Trattoria. The best pizza Ive ever had!

If you re looking for the best pizza in Halifax, save yourself some time and go to Tomavinos. Another reason to visit our beautiful city. Yum!

Exceptional Takeout Experience at Tomavinos Ristorante I recently had takeout from Tomavinos Ristorante and was thoroughly impressed. I ordered the Tomavinos Combo pizza, which featured fresh dough and a generous assortment of high-quality toppings. The staff at Tomavinos Ristorante were not only friendly but also very efficient. If youre craving delicious pizza paired with top-notch service, dont hesitate to give them a try. You wont be disappointed!

Ordered a pizza and Caesar salad - pizza was good, lots of toppings but nothing to write home about. Expected a pizza cooked on a hot stone so the crust was a bit chewy. Salad was good, nice flavour but could have had a little more dressing.

Heard it was one of the best spots for pizza so I had to check it out and it for sure was one of the best pizzas I ve had. You get a great amount for what you pay and they are very generous with toppings.

Very good place for pizza

Ive only eaten in once, but this is our most common spot for delivery pizza. I like the quality and amount of toppings. You can order delivery or pickup directly from them, by phone or online, cheaper than through delivery apps. Delivery is always quick and friendly.

It s a nice simple place located next to the Pier 21 area. The seating is beautiful with interiors reminding you of Italy(or I believe that s the idea). Good spot to have a casual pizza dinner. (I believe on summer days they even have a patio) I ordered a 9-inch Milano and my friend got the Eos(Vegetarian). The cheese and the sauce were great with good amount of toppings. It s not exactly your wood-fire oven Italian pizza but it s also not your normal canadian style pizza crust. It s somewhere in the middle and that pleasantly worked for both of us. It was served hot with melting cheese and slight amount of crunch, which makes for a great meal on a cold,windy night in Halifax. Definitely made a spot in my list of good-pizza spots in HRM.

So I ordered takeout and when I got there everyone was in the back having a good chat and I waited for at least 5 mins they finally came out when there was 3 of us in line. So I have never thrown away pizza before in my life until now. Con carne was terrible, everyone who tried it agreed and it went into the compost. The Hawaiian was mid at best. There are so many better options here in Halifax not sure how its number one on trip advisor. Please dont be mislead. This place is what I would call a tourist trap, highly rated but terrible. If the owner does reply based on previous replies I have seen I expect the response to be spicy.

Meh? We were there yesterday., werent sure what to get. The waitress swore up and down that THE thing theyre known for is the pizza. So, I tried it, and man, was it ever underwhelming. Dont get me wrong, it was ok, but the next time Im in Halifax, Im not searching this place out. If the Pizza is the signature, must try thing, and its that mediocre, what does that say about the rest of the menu?

Stopped by to get a quick lunch with our kids. The hostess at the counter was smiley and friendly . A big variety of pizza to choose from, fair prices and quick service. The pizza was awesome. Scrumptious crust and toppings. Italian ambiance in the heart of Halifax ! Well definitely go there again on our next visit!

Awesome staff and owner, truly good kind hearted people, tough to find people like that these days. On top of that, their pizza is amazing!! One of our favorite places to eat, without question!

Made the unfortunate decision to try and order take out here after work yesterday. Super obnoxious (and maskless WTF?) counter staff was so rude that I had to high tail it out of there and take my business elsewhere. Do yourself a favour and save this place for the summer tourists. Much better options in town.

Great pizza but not the gluten free ones

I went after googling best Caesar salad in Halifax because I had a craving while in town... And I have to say it was pretty great. Best Ive ever had? No. But... Id definitely go back. Ive had their pizza as well in the past, and always been happy with it too.

The service was good and the pizza was OK.

Overall taste wasnt bad but I was really disappointed in the crust. It was very chewy and looked like it was barely cooked. Trip advisor rated this the best pizza in halifax and honestly it wouldnt even make my top 5.

Tasty, quick and accommodating

Ordered a large pizza, large garlic fingers, and a diet pepsi. Pizza is dry and lacks sauce, fingers are incredibly greasy. White Sauce for garlic fingers dipping is pure liquid with no texture. My drink never came and my order was +$3 more than what the website said. $60 for nothing. Oh and you cant call them to possibly remedy this issue, thier system is only online... I am just visiting halifax, but I dont recommend this place at all. Trip advisor is wrong.

The service is friendly. The pizzas are good, but nothing more and their size is not excessive.

I was really excited to eat here but when I entered the facility, everyone ignored me. All of the workers kept going on and it felt as if I was invisible. I am not happy. I shan t return.

Hate to leave a bad review, but also don t want other customers to waste money. Staff was incredibly rude from start to finish. I asked about some of the drinks and was told it wasn t her kind of thing Husband s pizza was loaded with a greasy cheese, making the base soggy. I d suggest looking for a wood stove pizza place. I requested no feta, not realizing it would come with other cheese. When my pizza arrived loaded with cheese I explained I couldn t eat it and the waitress was incredibly mad even slammed the plate down. We apologized for the mistake but the waitress didn t even make eye contact, let alone acknowledge us. I rely on reviews when I visit new places and had high hopes for this restaurant. Sad to say even the pizza without cheese still tasted greasy.

Got the sandwich and ceasar salad combo. Pretty expensive for a freezer burnt bun with 1 slice of tomato and some meat. Should have got the pizza.

This is an incredibly good restaurant, with some of the best pizza weve ever tasted!! We were just in Halifax for 5 days, but couldnt resist stopping by after visiting Pier 21, given all the favourable reviews we saw about it... hard to believe there are bad reviews as that wasnt our experience at all...service was prompt, the server was polite, and the place has great ambiance. Would gladly repeat next time were in town.

I ve been ordering pizza from here for decades when it was Thomasinos .just paid $34 for the most mediocre medium pizza and they got the order wrong . Paid for Soppressata and none to be seen .

We use to order from here on a regular basis- last couple orders were cold and tasted awful. When we went to pick up the pizza the person working the counter totally ignored my spouse who had to ask if he could be served.

We ordered 10 pizzas for an event at the Garrison Friday, and were very disappointed. The bottom of the crust was like paper and we couldn t cut through it. Originally when I called to ask about my online order, a grumpy man, who I assume must be the owner, was short with me. I called back the next day and thankfully someone different answered the phone. When the employee put the phone down to go ask the owner my question, he started yelling at him and was so rude. I overheard the whole conversation. I m surprised he is able to keep any employees. It was very poor customer service. Btw the woman and young man working there were very helpful and the delivery service was excellent! We will never return.

Good pizza and many not typical varities and I was surprised to hear from the owner that onion and garlic is not used in their tomato sauce. I liked the layout of this small restaurant as well.

The worst pizza ever!!! I Ordered Margherita and came a shoe sole with tomato sauce. $30 for a ruined dinner. When you call them, they say that is a pizza standard plus Im so sorry!! Simply terrible!!!

This is a pretty place to eat with a very European vibe. The only minus part was they did not have a high chair for my 1 year old. Otherwise the taste was up to the mark, better than other pizza places around downtown. Served hot and fresh. The couple who runs the restaurant are jolly and fun. You guys are doing a great job!

The best pizza sauce Ive possibly ever had! The Italian sausage had tonnes of flavor The garlic fingers were under season, had no garlic flavor, were too thin and almost stale unfortunately. The white sauce was also too vinegar-y. Great pizza but id avoid the garlic fingers sadly

We are frequently ordering large pizza online for takeout but last order had added Kalamata olives as additional topping and we paid for that addition but when we opened pizza at home there was no olives and we still got charged for it. There is no way to contact the restaurant by phone - you have to go and complain in person. Also previous order with additional sautéed onions was definitely less generous than previous ones, very skimpy amount of onions.

Im not normally a pizza person but the marguerita pizza at this place was amazing! Cherry tomatoes that were actually sweet and full body roasted. Well done!

Very nice pizza. The sauce is tangy. I like mine crazy crispy so I could have done with a tad more crisp and crunch on the crust but this is great stuff. Super nice lady at the till!!

Rude employee on phone, stating they dont do phone orders...yet they were on the phone. Ordered online then order was forgotten or missed after the phone call( which we responded to politely. Delicious food, and friendly service!

Location, is good for tourism, parking is limited during the weekdays. Decoration and layout, I found the decorations is cozy and romantic, I liked the different type of tables however the place layout need improvement, the place is small and can fit with small group. Service is nice and the lady is well knowledge of the plates and the ingredients. Cleanliness, the cleaning was plausible, tables were cleaned. Duration, the waiting time for the food is ok. It took a bite longer than expected, however wasnt a big issue. Taste, the food was tasty and delicious. Prices, the price was reasonable Conclusion: I see I will try it again

Had a great pizza tonight. Not greasy..great crust and plenty of toppings. It was quiet but great service.

Ok pizzas. When they finally came. Showed up 40 minutes after calling. No customers in store or in line. They d forgot them somewhere in the kitchen. Left with 2 cold pizzas for over 50$ total, an hour after ordering. Great.

It was small and very charming. They had a very specific menu, which I appreciate, as it seems that the dishes were than quality over quantity. You can see into the kitchen, which I love, and you can see them preparing your food. You order and the counter and its quite informal and Im sure it would be bustling were it not a global pandemic. A lot of the pizzas were meat centric, but the cheese pizza and the margarita were both delicious.

Ive been eating here for around 20 years and its always been amazing. Fantastic food.

Pizza is delicious. I found the menu to be kind of limited and a bit confusing (somehow other people were able to order larger pizzas but we couldnt see that on the menu). Its more self service (you order and pay at the counter and they bring to your table). Great to pair with some brews at Garrison right after.

The pizza is amazing. I tried the ambrosia and I dont know what they did to it but it was amazing.

The only reason I deduct a star is because the ambiance is a little lacking but the sidewalk patio is fine. The food is top notch. The salads are incredibly tasty. In fact I go back for the salad primarily and the pizza second but it is good pizza and ranks among Salvetores and Mothers Pizza. I Highly recommend this place in summer. (Their Chianti is also much better than I got at dMaurizios downtown)

The Margherita pizza is an absolute must have. Top it with extra olive oil, sea salt at hot peppers. Wow! Had to come back and buy another one later because it was so good! Will be back next time I m in halifax! Thank you.

I watched as one of the employees dropped tongs on the floor tha proceeded to pick them up and kept using them without cleaning. Also the person i assume is the manager was argueing with another enployee pretty loudly with no regard.

Had the pepperoni pizza with Caesar salad and it was fantastic. The staff were friendly, the place was clean, and the service was fast. The pepperoni was very fresh, and I loved that they didnt pour on the sauce. It really helped the cheese, pepperoni and dough shine through.

Tomavinosstaff is friendly. The restaurant decor is minimalist-simple quality. Friday night at 7:30 was not overly busy. I shared a greek salad and the milano pizza. Both were fresh and flavorful. The crust on the pizza was excellent-crisp, chewy and tasty.
