Anemone Dining in Halifax

Eating out is one my favourite things and since my husband works in the industry we ve eaten at a variety of places and I have to say that Dany s food is truly the best I ve ever had.

We have hosted an event and attended Chef Dany s Prix Fix s and the experience is always bar none. The food is always exceptional, we feel very safe with our food allergies, and Chef Dany keeps the atmosphere intimate and welcoming for all her guests. We love how involved Chef Dany is with her events, seeing her mingling and ensuring her guests are having the best experience possible. I couldn t recommend Anemone more and look forward to attending our next dinner!

Well we couldn t have had such a magical day without you. Thank you to you and your team for making incredible food and for doing so much more than expected. The crowd was going crazy for every bite. We went for a pre fix dinner experience and added the drink pairing. The entire experience is the best we have had. Food portions, quality, and flavours were perfect; drink pairings were a beautiful addition. Thanks for the memorable experience. If I lived here, I would definitely attend again.

I went to the Tattingstone Inn multi-course dinner and had the best time. The nibbles that came on the grazing board were PERFECT. I love to see chefs utilizing local produce and using fermentation and pickling to keep the vibes going season to season! I cannot say enough good things. My friend and I shared every dish and my allergies were accommodated without feeling like an after thought. The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned, the risotto was fresh and felt like summer! Dessert...DO NOT GET ME STARTED. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Chef Dany really always exceeds my expectations. Worth the drive, worth the money, worth every moment.

My husband and I have dinned at the anemone pre fix dinners a half dozen times or more so far and have always had fantastic experiences. It is actually one of our go to choices when going out with friends to catch up as the venue is very intimate and because the menu is set in advance (with choices for all courses and accommodation for restrictions) we can focus on reconnecting we friends and not looking at the menu. The food portions are always very generous and I m a marathoner with a big appetite! The food has universally been flavourful, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. As a big fan of desserts I have had some of my favourite desserts out at anemone. Chef Dany is a pro! Cocktails from master mixologist Stephane are always delicious, inventive and balanced. My only complaint is that the pre fix dinners are only one weekend a month so sometimes we have to miss out due to other plans! We will definitely be back though!

Enjoyed some of the best bites I have had in Halifax here! Dont sleep on Anemone! Such a nice and intimate dining experience from the service and curated drinks menu down to the amuse bouche and fun dish wear. Perfect for a celebratory date or just because. Sending all my friends here now.

What a lovely experience from greeting to goodbye. The food and cocktails were wonderful. The broth of the fish soup was clear yet so rich. The arancino was crispy and gooey. And chocolate fondue dessert? Come on!

We had the most wonderful prix fixe dining experience at Anemone Dining last week during our visit to Halifax. We selected the beverage pairing to enjoy with our meal for a dining experience second to none. The meal together with the service provided by the knowledgeable staff and the elegant ambiance rounded out a wonderful dining experience not soon to be forgotten.

We had Anemone Dining host our small wedding and it was perfect. The food was incredible with great portion sizes, the service was pleasant and attentive, the cocktails were exceptional, and the entire process was easy, convenient, and reasonably priced. They were also very accommodating for non-alcoholic and dietary options which was greatly appreciated. We will certainly be back for future events!

I experienced Anemone Dining at a wedding July 2024 and it was the best food I have ever had. All evening, wedding guests were raving about the food and 5 star dining experience. Every dish was a hit and the cake at the end was absolutely unreal. If you ever get a chance, do not hesitate or miss out!

Chef Dany and her team catered a party of 45 people for a birthday celebration- 2 weeks later our guests are still raving about their experience- and so are we!! The flavors danced in our mouths and were so complimentary, every little detail was thought of and executed with complete professionalism and care, their passion shined bright! Just celebrated my 40th birthday at Anemone and we were all BLOWN AWAY with everything about our visit. The ambience from the decor to the music gave the place a comfortable and relaxing vibe. We were greeted by friendly faces, and served the most delicious food and drinks. Exceeded our expectations more than we could have imagined. Left feeling full of gratitude. We have hosted two special birthdays sit down dinners & this month had the opportunity to celebrate our engagement with a standing reception for a group of 20. We went to a Prix Fixe diner and it was one of the most remarkable food experiences of our lives. Now every time we go somewhere we think: it s good, but not as good as Anemone

We attended the February prix fixe, I would love to give more than 5 stars if it was possible. The courses were perfectly paired to the drinks, the layers of favour in the dishes and attention to detail speak to the skill of the chef, the service was impeccable and I haven t been able to stop telling people about our experience. Treat yourself, you deserve something this amazing. A real gem in Halifax.

Chef Dany and Anemone hosted our staff party and it was absolutely phenomenal! The food, the drinks, the event space, ALL fantastic. We were a larger group with a lot of moving pieces, and Dany and her team were incredibly accommodating and patient with us. I would 100% have another event with Anemone <3

Chef Dany is a true professional. The spread she was able to put together for our Christmas party of 8 was amazing! The perfect amount of delicious charcuterie and solid options for our gluten free, celiac, vegetarian company. A+++ for this incredible restaurant and catering business !

We were blown away. To say this is an understatement. My husband and I booked Anemone for our wedding. We were looking for something that would be elegant yet relaxed but with an elevated food experience. We were so lucky to have found Anemone. Right from the start, Chef Dany and her staff were excellent to deal with. They helped me plan the logistics of all the little details I wanted to incorporate and gave great advice on which menu options would be best for us. The evening went off perfectly and, most importantly, stress free. The space was beautiful, and Dany was so attentive checking in with my guests and I. The food surpassed our expectations. All our guests were raving about the food. I highly HIGHLY recommend adding on a wedding cake to your package. Chef Dany used fresh flowers and fruit to make the most beautiful and unique cake I have ever seen. The cake was also the most perfect and delicious cake I have ever tasted. I am still dreaming about that buttercream. My groom and I were fighting over the leftovers, and they didnt last long. Thank you, Dany and staff, for an unforgettable evening.

We had Dany and her team at Anemone cater our off-site private wedding for around 30 guests. Dany and Jesse were incredibly accommodating and made the process of picking out a menu super easy, even with working around some dietary restrictions with our guests. On the day-of, they arrived prepared, organized, on time, and were super accommodating when we were running a little behind. The process was so easy, and stress-free. And man, THE FOOD. Wow. We ended up going with shared grazing boards for appetizers, and family style main dishes, then plated desserts. It was honestly one of the best meals I ve ever had, and of our family and friends were raving. It truly is fine dining, with beautiful presentation, generous portions and absolutely INCREDIBLE food. If you have a chance to go down to their private event space, or have them cater a private event in your home or venue, do it. You will not be disappointed! We can t wait until we have a chance to have another meal made by Dany and her team at Anemone Dining.

My husband and I were married at Anemone in July of 2023. We wanted a small wedding where food and love could be the focus and honestly we couldn t have received a better experience. The food was AMAZING, the space was decorated to perfection and the Anemone Team was the icing on the cake - professional, friendly & attentive. What I loved most about getting married with Anemone dining was the ease of organizing the event. As the wedding drew closer friends and family would ask me how the planning was going and honestly, I didn t have much to plan. Danielle is a very organized business owner & chef with great wedding packages that make the building of your special day a breeze. The ambiance in the space is romantic and warm and the food is fresh and flavourful. You can customize your experience to your own desire which again, Danielle made very easy. We are food lovers, so it was paramount that the food was top notch & it was!!! I think the best expression of our wedding and Anemone s expertise was when my mum said to me the day after our wedding, It felt like family! thank you Anemone, because it did! We had our rehearsal dinner at Anemone. We had a plated dinner with passed appetizers and it was all delicious! We were a group of 16 and it was the perfect intimate setting. The staff were lovely. Leading up to the evening, Danny and her team were very responsive and accommodating to help make the evening stress free. I highly recommend!

My partner and I celebrated our elopement at Anemone this past Thanksgiving weekend with 10 guests and it was wonderful! I ve eaten at one of their pop-ups (which I won in a giveaway) so I knew the food would be excellent, but I didn t realize how special it would be to have the whole place to ourselves with such amazing, personalized service by Dany and Stephane. The ambiance was really lovely with local, seasonal flowers and decor all throughout the space. They were very professional and patient with us during planning, and I felt no stress leading up to the event. Also important: trust Dany to make your cake!! I ve been disappointed by so many cakes in my life and I have some annoyingly particular family members so I was a little hesitant, but she knows what she s doing. My cake was fresh, flavourful and BEAUTIFUL. (It was the apple spice cake). They kindly and carefully package up all unfinished food and send it back with you, so we ve been enjoying our cake for days. Highly recommend.

My friend and I have had the pleasure of attending two of Anemone s prix fixe offerings. They were both fabulous, the food was great, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was so cozy. The hardest part was choosing which menu options we wanted!

Chef Dany came out to our cabin for a special birthday dinner we hosted for friends. The food was incredible and the service felt like a 5 star restaurant , without having to leave our home. She was great to communicate with for planning the event. Dany and partner were extremely efficient cleaning up after the event as well. We look forward to experiencing her food again in the future.

Our experience at Anemone Dining was absolutely incredible! Having the place to ourselves for an intimate dinner with friends was so lovely. Being served mouthwatering dishes from Chef Danielle accompanied by inspired cocktails from Stephane made for such a memorable evening. Trying to pick a favourite dish would be next to impossible. The best dining experience I ve had in Halifax. Stephane made some of the best cocktails I ve ever had and his wine paring was on point. The meal was hands down 5-stars. From the first course to dessert, there wasn t anything left on my plate at the end. The venue is incredible. It had the intimacy of a dinner party but with a trendy downtown vibe. Definitely not your typical Halifax dining experience!

Im a repeat customer of their charcuterie boards. They are thoughtfully curated, have something for everyone (my 5 & 2 year old kids love fancy snack plate) and has been a really lovely way to celebrate a occasion at home (mothers day, valentines, new years) especially when it wasnt feasible to go out and about. Now that we can go out, I still choose to get grazing boards for my little special occasions at home (or picnic) because they are fantastic and delicious. Kid-friendliness: My kids

My sister was planning a small and quick wedding and really wanted Danielle to cater it, unfortunately the dates and everything did not line up. So we planned her bachelorette and managed to get Danielle to surprise her for an incredible meal with all her favourite tastes! It was simply divine and made for such a lovely experience! We had booked a house for everyone and she came in and got right to it. We were able to relax and have time catching up or talking wedding then all sat down for such a delicious meal (everything was incredible but if you get a chance to taste her tuna tartare, do it also her heavenly mashed potatoes I would eat all on their own and be thrilled!) Cut to we finished and she was saying her good byes only to realize the kitchen was left tidied and better than when she got there! All I can say is it was worth every penny and then some! If you want a special night and experience delicious food don t wait to book! Vegetarian options: No issues and tons of great choices! Dietary restrictions: Made alternative options for any dietary restrictions with no issues and even great options!
