Bringing you the taste of the authentic Spanish cuisine at the heart of Halifax. We take pride in our unique dishes and we constantly seek to perfect timeless recipes. Come and discover an array of traditional Spanish flavours to delight your senses .
This place is a hidden gem on the Halifax waterfront, with friendly service and vivid flavours. My husband and I were very impressed with their shareable seafood platter and charcuterie board which were both not only very authentic Spanish cuisine utilizing the array of fresh Atlantic local seafood here but also some of the best portion sizes we have received for years in a Halifax restaurant downtown for reasonable prices.
We got an almond salad to start it was really good, however the paella was not good. We had high hopes as the description of the restaurant made it sound like the paella was their specialty however it was very underwhelming. Our waiter was very nice.
Great service and the food was excellent. I had the Pollo Con Chorizo and it was superb. The chicken, chorizo, and garlic lemon potatoes were spot on. My wife had the Caesar salad and garlic lemon potatoes. The caesar was amazing, and she loves lemon potatoes. We were too stuffed for dessert. Great experience.
Friendly and quick service. Ordered the paella valanciana mixta which was quite good - included shrimps, mussels, chorizo and chicken thighs. Good portion for at least 4 ppl. Appetizers were salmon con pepinilos - just average. Patatas Bravas - potatoes cooked nicely and well seasoned.
I had the best wine ever ! Called "most wanted", delicious ! We had the atlantica Paella with seafood and lobster and very very good. There was 3 of us and it was plenty. We also had a charcuterie board to start with ! The waitress was sooo nice. Very lovely girl.
Ordered Pollo Con Chorizo as my main. Huge portion with great flavours. The garlic potatoes were delicious. Very friendly and accommodating server.
The Los Toros restaurant delivered a delightful experience with its delicious paella, which tasted almost like it was straight from Spain. The sangria, recommended by our friendly and attentive waiter, was also very good. The waitstaff's friendliness and care added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Los Toros Restaurant provided a delightful dining experience that exceeded my expectations. From the warm welcome to the flavorful dishes, every aspect of my visit was exceptional. The ambiance was inviting, the service was attentive, and the food was simply exquisite. I particularly enjoyed the authentic flavors of their spanish cuisine, which were expertly prepared and presented with care. I highly recommend Los Toros to anyone seeking a memorable culinary experience.
We came for a birthday party, and had a wonderful time! With 9 of us, the service was super fast and friendly, everything was delicious, and they even let us come a little early to store the cake and balloons. Thank you to their team!
Hubby and I had the most delicious paella Not cheap, but worth the price. Good for a fancy date night on the Halifax waterfront.
100% Recommended.
Wonderful service and atmosphere. Ordered the Paella Marinara for two and was bland and shrimp was very overcooked and dried out. We did not order any other entree so I cannot comment on the rest on the rest of the menu. I ve enjoyed paella in my travels and this was the most disappointing.
Great service
We wantes ro try something different for our last nigth in Halifax. Spanish food was a good choice we ordered à plater of cured meat and à Paella. There was five of us and we had plenty of food.it was really well done. Servir was really nice and made home made limonade for the kids. It was pretty quiet for a Thursday nigth. Not sure why. If you have a chance go and try it. Dietary restrictions: Allergies to peanut was not an issue.
The paella was not a great thing but in general everything was good. Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is on the first floor so the access to everything is easy. Food : 2/5 |
Nice atmosphere , great service Food is ok ,nothing special , the lobster in the seafood platter was almost empty , almost nomeat in the middle , plate full of rice , doesnt worth it So expensive , dont reocmmend Food : 3/5
Excellent service!
I dont give it a 5, because of the language. They dont speak Spanish, or they dont want to.
After a day of tours, this was the perfect stop for a drink and nibbles, but the menu is so good, we ordered Tapas and Pinxos, calamari, Serrano and brie, the best chorizo in red wine ever, and an Arugula salad with Sangria. Paul was amazing and it was the best stop, just wish we could come back for dinner!
Warm welcome and excellent service from friendly staff. We opted to share A paella which was delicious. Great value too.
We celebrated our anniversary and we had an incredible time, the food was very delicious, the service was good. Without a doubt it is a place to which I will gladly return.
The only Spanish thing about the restaurant is the name. The quality of food is ordinary and its not tapas but a mix of European food
Thank you Los Toros for beautiful Paella and cold sangria recommend this place . Calm atmosphere and friendly waiters. One of my favourite places in Halifax .
Delicious mimosas with a float of Cointreau were amazing!
Pasta Bianca here was great and very filling! Great views of the Halifax harbour front from the patio.
Excelint food quality and service. Food came to the table in 15 min. Thats my new favorite spot for seafood.
I love the salads, the beer and the staff here. I was surprised that they remembered which beer I was drinking after just one visit.
Absolutely delicious sea food and drinks.
Touristic.
Little pricey but food was pretty good. Server was nice. Sit inside, there are rats outside
Excellent service with smile and personality, fabulous food and delicious drinks !! Couldn t recommend more.
Perfect for my little dog
Friendly, but unexperienced. Close early (around 8.30 pm) Food
Nice atmosphere, good service. Price is reasonable, good meal.
Our experience at Los Toros was delightful from start to finish. The combination of great ambiance, attentive service, and delicious food made for a memorable evening. I would highly recommend Los Toros for anyone looking to enjoy a special dining experience.
We from Ontario and Brandon made our stay here so memorable such an amazing service, the food was great and the drinks are amazing!! Thank you Brandon for dealing with us you are top 3 of the best servers Ive ever had in the last 10 years!
Brandon is the king of men. I salute a gentleman server of this caliber. May the gods forever shine upon your excellence. The year of 40 is better by your presence. May the force be with you and Los TOROS.
A super nice place, good food, very good location.
The beautiful atmosphere, the food is super delicious, the brunch menu is different from the lunch one. If you want sea food, order both to review, although there was only one girl serving, she made it excellent, very friendly, for lovers of sea food the Super good sea food paella, the delicious churros are 3 medium units, the accompanying chocolate is a little liquid but tasty. Latin music ideal for friends, family and real work. Inside it is small but cozy.
Very fast and professional service. Food is delish. Tapas is a great way to get several dishes sampled. The shrimp, scallops and oysters were top shelf. Thank you Food : 5/5
Very friendly and fast service. The food and wine are top-notch! Food : 5/5
The food was very nice, perhaps not enough for a shareable plate for 4 when we were just 3. Flavour wise, very good. The bathroom smelled of drain, but overall, a nice experience. Parking is a bit difficult, though. Would coma back.
Great food and excellent service!
Fantastics food and service!
I wouldnt even give this food a one star, I bought four kids cheeseburgers with french fries and three iced teas and my bill was $100 without tip. The hamburgers were smaller than my palm and on a large bun full of ketchup and the burgers were burnt. I would never go here again but my waitress who is Spanish and said she was new was excellent and we loved her, we did not love the food.
Not sure what to expect after Stayners, this place is amazing, food and drink terrific service better.
We were on our way to Salty s and decided to change our plans. Food and service was great!! I would recommend it without reservation.
Ordered from Uber eats crispy fried octopus it was delivered to me soggy and bland. The food portions were very small and underwhelming, definitely not worth the cost. I called the restaurant in Spanish, as its supposed to be an authentic Spanish restaurant and the employee on the phone answered with apathy and hangup within a couple of seconds, ignoring any subsequent calls. I do not recommend this restaurant and for this price range, the city has much better options to offer regarding food quality and experience
Few people at this hour but awesome service and food was delightful ! Oysters, shrimps and wine!
Loved the food atmosphere and a great service from Paul, although it was a bit expensive
Excellent attention from the night staff, good drinks and food.
Selection of unique tapas. Well worth the trip. Dietary restrictions: Did fine on gluten free Food : 5/5 |
New favourite place in Halifax!!
We enjoyed a very tasty meal and had excellent service! Highly recommended!
Okay coming in I assumed Mexican to my knowledge it was European Spanish. Which was fine very classy! And interesting dishes I must say. But the food was great! And the service was even better!!! My server was Brandon. Definitely highly recommend trying this place at least once!
Unbelievable staff! Even if you dont care for the amazing Spanish foods and wide variety of Spanish wines then youll at least be met with some of the best staff Ive experienced!
It was a nice place with different food, all were fine, service, and special food. Kid-friendliness: The waiter was friendly with the kids.
Expecting the spanish reputation for flavorfull food, but disappointed with Paella, it doesnt live up to its looks and taste, quite bland.
Pretty good place food not bad! Calmari was rubber taught! Flavors yummy! Salad good!
My wife and I shared three different tapas for lunch, and all were excellent. The succulent shrimp were a standout, as were the delicious scallops. The mussels in a sauce with chorizo was also outstanding. Wonderful and attentive service from our waiter Paul completed a truly wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
As a spanish restaurant, we order 2 Sangria, one is red wine sangria another is white(i guess?) They both taste good! Of course, Paella is a must in a spanish restaurant. We ordered Paella Marinera. I am a bit disappointed as the rice i had i dont think it is spanish rice/bomba rice). Also, there is a strong frozen smell in shrimp. Medallones de res( AAA beef tenderloin) is okay but i love the side dish more tgan the beef. There is about $100/pp. Although is a bit expense, i think the price is still acceptable as the location and there is not much spanish restsurant in HRM.
Here is a review from a real Spaniard! The most mediocre food, the churros very small and only three. The chocolate came in a cup of coffee, the tumaca bread without ham was very good (although, even though it included ham on the menu, they didnt lower the price after I asked for it without ham). My only problem was that the portions were too small and the price too high. But hey, I guess you cant ask for more, since we are not in Spain Vegetarian options: There are hardly any options.
Hit up Paul for some orange cinnamon mimosas, lemme tell ya
I had come a couple of months back for dinner and the paella was out of this world! Came in for brunch this weekend and was not disappointed! Brandon was very attentive and informative. The service was fast and the food was so amazing. We got the Huevos Horneados and the steak. The flavors were amazing and portions were big. The music was also great. 10/10 experience, would 100% recommend!
To be honest I just came to this place by accident. We were looking for a place to eat before the first Canada hockey game, every restaurant and bar was so packed we couldnt get in we worked our way down the hill and basically stumble upon this place. I just had a hamburger and french fries so I wasnt into anything fancy it was delicious, the fries are actually really really good, my buddy had calamari he did not like it at all, but I disagreed with him I thought it was really good. Our waiter was outstanding by the way, he knew why we were there and just kept bringing the beer .God love him. Ill probably go back and try out the real food for sure.... I hope I get the same waiter
Delicious Paella and Churros!
Manager served us and he was very pleasant, friendly and approachable!! Just went in for dessert (AMAZING churros) but will be back to try out the menu!!
Great spot and great food.
not my tasty
Really great food and service! A bit loud music so it was harder to hear but the food was delicious!
I had espagueties con Champinones over there, It was disgusting .too salty... Service was good but food wasnt . Dont waste your money there, Food : 1/5 |
their paella was rly hood.
Authentic is word threw around too much these days, but it is rarely true, not this time. Being someone who grew up eating these dishes I can assure you that everything there tasted Spanish (even the wine!). HIGHLY recommend it to anyone in Halifax. ps.: Paul is a great host!
Says Inspired by Spain but it felt like it was inspired by smittys. Food was over cooked from appetizer to dessert, just all around not great. Way too overpriced for what you get.
Not at all what is represented on their website! This place was near the water .. yes.. only good thing..was pretty at first until you realized it smelled like an old pub .. there were what appeared to be dock workers looking for somewhere to hangout and drink for the afternoon or seasoned drinkers who were there from the night before .. we couldn t tell! Friendly female bartender who tended to us in a corner table.. we appeared to be the only people there to eat.. upon presenting the menu she made her way back to chat and socialize with the little group of male drinkers who sat at the bar as though it was their own personal daytime kitchen party! It was cooler inside and the menu was not at all what was shown on the website.. very odd.. as though somebody else bought the place,, changed it to a pub with appetizers and forget to change the website .. very odd ! We left without ordering, after using the washroom which was surprisingly clean.. cute location but not what is portrayed online !
If youre looking for a restaurant that offers a true taste of Spain, look no further than Los Toros. I recently visited this establishment and was blown away by the quality of the food and the level of service provided. One of the standout features of Los Toros is their pintxos. These small plates are a staple of Spanish cuisine and are perfect for sharing with friends or trying a variety of different flavors. The pintxos at Los Toros are simply exquisite, with a range of ingredients and flavor combinations that are sure to delight your taste buds. If youre a fan of paella, then you simply have to try the version offered at Los Toros. Its cooked to perfection with a beautiful golden crust and is packed full of fresh seafood and other ingredients that transport you straight to the Mediterranean coast. The portion sizes are generous too, so you can enjoy a hearty and satisfying meal. And of course, no visit to Los Toros would be complete without trying their churros. These sweet treats are the perfect way to round off a meal, and the ones served at Los Toros are simply divine. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served with a rich, decadent chocolate dipping sauce, theyre the perfect indulgence. Overall, I cant recommend Los Toros highly enough. The food is exceptional, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Whether youre a seasoned fan of Spanish cuisine or youre looking to try something new, this restaurant is a must-visit.
If youre looking for a stunning waterfront location with delicious tapas and an atmosphere that will transport you to Spain, look no further than Los Toros. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves great food, beautiful decor, and a fantastic view. From the moment you step inside, youre greeted with warm, inviting decor that immediately sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The attention to detail is evident in every corner of the restaurant, from the ornate tile work to the glass wine wall. But its not just the decor that sets Los Toros apart - its the food. The tapas selection is simply outstanding, with each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Whether youre in the mood for classic dishes like patatas bravas and Spanish tortilla, or you want to try something new like the pulpo a la gallega (octopus with paprika and potatoes), you wont be disappointed. Of course, the waterfront location is another standout feature of Los Toros. As you enjoy your meal, youll be treated to stunning views of the harbor and the nearby boats, creating a truly memorable dining experience. Overall, I cant recommend Los Toros enough. The decor, the location, and the tapas all come together to create an experience thats simply unforgettable. So whether youre a local or just visiting Halifax, be sure to put Los Toros at the top of your list of must-visit restaurants.
Fantastic food, excellent service, would definately recommend trying it out for a family meal, or for a nice evening out
I highly recommend trying the paella marinera at Los Toros Restaurant. Its a must-try for seafood lovers and anyone who appreciates authentic Spanish cuisine. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Dont miss out on this delicious culinary experience!
What I loved most about the pintxos at Los Toros was the creativity behind each one. They were not your typical tapas; instead, they were unique combinations of flavors that I had never experienced before. The presentation was also stunning
Paella and sangria was good
Absolutely delicious paella. Amazing service. Perfect vibes.
Excellent food, great service.
The location is very good; my vegetarian friend loved the Tortilla Española and Patatas Bravas, while we (non vegetarians) loved the Pulpo Frito Crujiente (baby octopus); the interior design of the restaurant was interesting
Best mushroom pasta I ve ever had, servers were all friendly and attentive, atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Los Toros was located well just off the boardwalk in Halifax, this made for a great location and vibe. The food was great and the portions reflected the price. Usually we expected tapas to be smaller but glad they were well portioned looking at the price. The Patatas Bravas were delicious. Vegetarian options: Limited but tasty.
Great little place. Menu feels authentic.. food tasted less so. We ordered the crispy baby octopus (delicious!) And the valenciana pallella. This had decent flavour (rosemary, saffron and tumeric), but had no crispy rice like I am used to (probably spoiled since eating pallella in Barcelona). Serving size was great (easily 3 full adults could eat it) and all seafood, chorizo and chicken inside were cooked wonderfully. Staff were very friendly, helpful and fast! Would go again, but would probably order an entre instead of the pallella.
Cute place next to the ferry terminal and boardwalk. The Paella is yummy and definitely enough for sharing with 2-3 people. Paul is really helpful and patient with us for all the requests! We will come back again. strongly recommend
The service is really nice but we found a hair in our paella and our salmon came out raw. Overpriced for what the food is.
A pretty good concept, good food and service.
PAUL and the chefs were absolutely amazing! It was my birthday (my bff shared that fact!) We ate and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We also ordered dessert, choros dipped in chocolate! Paul was sweet, and brought mine out with a birthday candle glowing . That was so lovely and made my whole weekend. Kudos to you and all the staff there on the evening of May 28th. You, the chefs, the food, everything made a fan out of us both and we will be back again soon! Espaguetis con Champiñones 20 Portobello, cremini, roasted red peppers, Parmesan, olive oil, rosé sauce DELICIOUS
Amazing food and great service.
We were so disappointed in the food at this restaurant. We love eating out and love Spanish cuisine but this was an expensive mistake. The sangria was sweet & watered down, I rarely don t finish a drink & I didn t finish this. The octopus was overcooked and rubbery with a heavy sauce. The Serrano ham in the salad was not very fresh. The bill was extraordinary for mediocre food. We wanted to find a place to enjoy Spanish food & did not find it here.
Overall I wasn t overly impressed. Saturday afternoon the place was pretty dead. Only a few people in. The food was average for the price you pay. The waitress was nice although it took a really long time for our food to arrive. Had a Pepsi that was more ice than Pepsi. Just a pretty disappointing experience all around.
Excellent place to eat paella.
Decided to try this place one sunny afternoon as they have a gorgeous deck for seating outside. I have never had authentic Spanish food so I have nothing to compare with. There was no wait and I was seated right away. The service was impeccable, the drinks were cold and the food looked beautiful. The San Sabatian Serrano sailboat appetizers were fun and tasty. My main dish was flavourful but it was extremely oily. Not sure if that is normal but it was inedible to my standards. Over all nice place for a drink in the sun and an appetizer.
We finally went to try Los Toros. It was wonderful. We had the mix paella, and it was very good, full of flavors , we had a wonderful bio white Spanish wine that accompanied excellent .service was great.we will definitely return xo
The paella was great. The favour was great. It was missing the crispy rice at the bottom of the pan which is usually prized for a great paella. The pan was probably finished in the oven rather than over the fire. But nevertheless, it tasted great.
Paella so bad
This is a great authentic Spanish spot on the harbour front. The staff were outstanding and food was even better. Loved the chorizo mussels and seafood paella . Would go back there next time in Halifax.
We enjoyed this place
Loved it! Great food & service
Food is ok But the main reason is poor service Half an hour after ordering, not even a bottle of water was served. let us wait Start serving food after reaction There were not many tables of customers at all I don t know what the waiter was doing.
Excellent
I saw this restaurant recommended on social media and tried the Marinera Paella and Mussels. They tasted really good. The only downside is that its a bit pricey (considering its prime location in the Waterfront of Halifax downtown, so its understandable). Additionally, there arent many indoor seats, and the music is a bit loud. However, we opted for outdoor seating, and the view was fantastic!
The wait staff is always lovely, the sangria is delicious, and the paella is divine.
Excellent place with delicious food and great service! Great view and fantastic location!
My family and I ate at this restaurant twice during our stay in Halifax. We tried the Paella Marinera, The Hamburguesa, Mejilliones con Chorizo, the lobster roll w/ fries and the Vieiras. All the dishes were a stand out with the Paella and the hamburger being very memorable. The hamburger was the best that I can remember. The burger was tender and juicy and it had a spectacular char and crust to it. The service was excellent and friendly. Please drop in and give them a try and then let us all know what your thoughts are. Happy Eats everyone.
Cute spot right next to the ferry! We stopped for a beverage on the patio before heading back to Dartmouth. The patio was lovely and cool and the drinks were great. We will be back for sure but for food next time. Wheelchair accessibility: The entire restaurant was one level with no steps so this would be a great place for a wheelchair user or someone with mobility concerns
Great food.
Very good spanish food, though menu is not forgiving to more mundane palettes. Expensive, but worth it. Great location.
The balance of flavours were exciting and delicious. True quality food.
Disappointed with their tapas.
Beautiful meal, very well cooked, friendly staff and overall an amazing experience
Great service and food
Exquisite tapas, especially the clams with chorizo, finger-licking good
Food is great portion are perfect everyone enjoyed there meal. Service excellent
Server and owner are beauties
Honestly, the food was very average. I was expecting a lot more value and flavor on the $28 lobster roll. It was small and pretty pathetic. Definitely overpriced for what you are getting.
I cant rate them accurately as we only had a beer and teas. We checked out their menu. A much pricer spot than others in the past. This spot has always had a lovely patio and view....
The food was wonderful and the location and atmosphere is amazing! It was the best restaurant we ate at in Halifax and definitely met our expectation to have fresh and delicious seafood.
Very decent Spanish food. Friendly service, unusually large tapas servings. And the waiter Brandon was ery helpful. Will definitely go again.
Great service, good food - the scallops and the churros were delicious. The seafood was extremely overcooked in the Atlantica paella but the rice had wonderful flavour.
Best food in Halifax
Worth the experience
Enjoyed an early lunch. The place quiet but the service was great! Too cool to sit outside but they have a great patio looking out at the water.
I and my friend got stomach upset after brunch here. We had chicken paella.
Excellent food, great ambiance, and supreme service! Would definitely recommend!
Brilliant experience. Great food and atmosphere. Our waiter, Kazuki was phenomenal and we all had an enjoyable time.
Beautiful Patio and great location right on the water, ate a bunch of different tapas, was very happy with prawns patatas bravas and squid. Sangria was good but nothing spectacular, I think next time instead of dinner I will enjoy the sun for happy hour.
Dry friendly staff, great menu variety, gluten free options available(ask and don t go by the menu gf labels), nice patio and view. Not Spanish and authentic. It is a Mexican adaptation of Spanish food.
Update: last visit wasnt positive for the following, a) we ordered a meal (as it says) serves 2 to 3 ppl, in reality it wasnt enough for one. Ginger Ale was a colored water only. Unfortunately my experience lately was not satisfactory. I will not change below my first and scond experience Location, is excellent in spite of the issue of the parking. The location in downtown is excellent. No free parking you should expect to walk. Layout and decorations, wonderful, cozy and spacious. Decorations and layout done perfectly. Service is excellent and friendly. The waitress and waiters are friendly, well knowledgeable of the ingredients and professional services. I like how they talk with customers and take the jokes. communication is 5 Waiting to be seated, we had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Waiting te for service and time to get the food was within expectations and plausible. Taste, it is the real Italian food, spaghetti tase excellent, salmon plate even better. I liked the food. The presentation of the plate was professional. Plate were full and rich Cleanliness, the place cleaning was plausible. Prices is $$ however it is worth it. Conclusion, I am coming back. And if you want to try something new. Try this one.
Got here for an authentic Spanish paella and couldn t have gone for a worst place. The food was tasteless and the price . Wow, they charge as if they were the most fantastic place on earth. I should say that the food was still somehow edible, but you don t pay these prices to get edible food I could have gone to Tim Hortons, paid a fraction and still had a better experience. I consider this as tourist trap. You can absolutely come here but keep your expectations low.
Awesome staff, super friendly and accommodating. Service is 5 star but the food was not great, but also not bad. Maybe it was just an off-day because Ive had great food here before.
The best restaurant Halifax, really! The server was really friendly and we had a small chat. The food was the best Ive ever had in Halifax.. It was very good :)
Great menu. A little wait to be seated.
We had the most relaxing lunch at los toros today! Mattison was our server she was so friendly and kind. Great spot with a beautiful view of the water!
Delicious Spanish tapas and paella. Reasonable prices for groups willing/ wanting to share dishes. The trucks doing delivery to local businesses during the meal were off-putting on the patio. The food and friendly staff made up for it.
Great service but food is not impressive at all especially for the price.
Overall pretty lackluster spanish food. Overpriced and bland.
Tasteless Paella a so disappointing experience. Perhaps our disappointment is owed to our mediterranean origins and familiarity with Spanish dishes, but the Paella was truly soulless , and very far from being called as such. Nothing had a taste, apart the mussels. Maybe it s the ingredients, the fish, the spices, or all together..anyway, this plate whole needs a real reconsideration, including the presentation. The menu says serve 2-3 persons . I don t know how this statement relate to the plate we were served . But quantity is a very minor comment here. I would like to mention however the friendliness and professionalism of staff who served us. Other than that, it was a pure waste of money of the $66 it costs.
Best place ever.
Amazing experience. Paul was the server, very attentive and helpful. The food was amazing, we shared a paella, it was to die for. The appetizers where great as well. The service was prompt.
I love the food but the waitress who served us was absent minded, she forgot to bring us spoons for paella and also added one beverage that we didn t order to our bill. Glad I checked the bill before pay
Ordered the seafood paella for 2-3 people and the churros. Paella was more than enough for 2 people. If you were 3 hungry eaters however, might not be enough. In terms of taste - great! However, I would have liked to have tasted the spices a bit more. It seems like the prawns is what captured the most flavour. Although one shrimp did not seemed to be deveined, the rest were. The shells on 1-2 of the prawns were pretty hard to get off, but then again it s paella, you need to use your hands! Churros were amazing - fresh, warm, crunchy on the outside, doughy in the middle. The chocolate dipping sauce was not necessary, but was not the best given that it seemed milk/watered down (or maybe it was the type of chocolate syrup used). Service was top! I believe our waiter s name was Ryan. He was quick, attentive and respectful. Great conversationalist as well. Nothing to complain there. Keep up the good work. We sat outside as it was a warm summer evening. There were some fruit flies, but not enough to bother us during our meal. The inside of the restaurant was very nice and clean, and so were the bathrooms. The location is weird due to it s proximity to the ferry terminal on one side and the Tim Hortons on the other. But honestly, if it was placed anywhere else, I imagine it would be at par with the other high end restaurants on the waterfront. In terms of price, it was all decent given the level of inflation we are dealing with in 2022 - $90. If anything I would say the Churros were on the expensive side for how many you get. Definitely recommend to quell that paella craving!
Enjoyed dinner tonight here as a couple. Easy to get into, casual, indoor or outdoor seating available. We shared a salad and two of the tapas dishes (shrimp and the chorizo sausage). Good wine and beer options. Perfect! Service was great and there were many other attractive options on the menu. Would not hesitate to recommend this place to friends and family.
I wouldn t go back. Food wasn t great.
Excellent paella. Friendly waiter. Reasonable pricing. Not crowded. Clean place.
Went here for the first time and it was really nice. Great view even though it was quite wet outside, although I did find that the server was a little too prompt at his job and felt like almost to eat and be rush out of there, not sure why since there was only two other tables beside mine. Would definitely go back
Food wasn t spectacular and as authentic as I expected it would be. The chicken entree was dry and too salty. Also, it was quite pricey given the small portion of food.
Best food we had in nova scotia!
Great service, atmosphere and food. Everyone in my group throughly enjoyed their meal. I shared a paella plate with a friend and it was delicious, fresh and flavourful! Our service was attentive, friendly and approachable. I d go back again and recommend it to anyone who wants to try authentic Spanish food. Two thumbs up!
Le service est excellent, ask for Paul. The food is very good and a wonderful wine list.
Delishhhhh..you have to come.
What a find! Authentic spanish cuisine. Paella was hearty and delicious! Friendly staff, great service. Food : 5/5 |
Excellent authentic Spanish food...Scallops were the best I ever had!...
It s very disappointing experience. Food does not taste good, the shrimp is soggy not fresh, and they re uncooked! For this price and food quality I will never go back and won t recommend to others
First time here, I have a really great experience with my husband in here! Paella was awesome, tasty food! Highly recommend it! Servers are very friendly! Love it!!!!
Awesome paella and wonderful service. Love the location on the waterfront.
The food and staff are amazing! We had agood wine, duck appetizer, paella and churros!!! Wow delicious!! We recommend!! Food
Great food, fast and friendly service!
Service and food were both amazing. Great sangria on a warm November day. We shared an appetizer player and some sandwiches. The Lemon & Garlic Potatoes were delicious and we had to try the Churros.
Great sangria selection, very tasty
Zarzuela was good and filling.
Excellent food, great ambiance, and great people...fantastic place to enjoy a meal!!
Small sharing plates, attentive staff ( Paul was amazing ) , Absolutely the best restaurant near me in Halifax , Paella was superb Will definitely go back
Paul was AMAZING!!!! the food was delicious and the service incredible! Loved this place
Had a really nice supper here
Food is not bad, but not Spanish at all. Not even close. It says authentic Spanish, but it should be called chorizo restaurant. They even served chorizo for cooking as charcuterie. And they put it in the paella!!! Thats a crime in Spain. Call it rice with chorizo, not paella... The pulpo a la gallega is in the photos. Nooo, its nothing similar to Spanish, but its eatable if hungry.
