Chop Steakhouse & Bar in Halifax

I just came to pick up an order I made on Uber Eats and had the strangest experience. I relocated here in the Fall, in those months I have ordered a total of 15 times (I have ALWAYS picked up the order at the front). This morning however, I was told I was supposed to go to the back, I advised that I have never went to the back and as the woman left to grab the order, she mumbled, never knew things changed. Here comes this other lady with the order, telling me for future reference, I ll have to go to the back. She was holding on to the order while talking instead of handing it me be like I was a child. The whole interaction was not more than 30 seconds but left a sour taste in my month, screamed micro-aggression. There will be no future reference as I will not be returning but next time, don t wait until the 16th pickup and lastly, it speaks volumes if people are able to order from you, but are unable to come through the front, to grab that order.

It was ok. The potatoes were delicious but grotesquely lumpy. The beans were bitter and still had the rough ends on them. The steak was cooked to the correct temperature but was hard to cut with a knife, let alone chew. It tasted ok, but it gave the jaw a workout. The au poivre was putrid and separated. If it was $30 itd be worth it. But its not.

We enjoyed drinks and appetizers in the lounge at the Chop Steakhouse this past weekend. Our server Olivia was friendly, consistently checked in with us during a very busy time contributing to an excellent experience. We will definitely return!

Our server, Olivia, was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. There was a mix-up with one of our orders and she and her manager did everything they could to make it right. They were very successful. I can highly recommend both Olivia and Chop in general. Thanks for the great food and the great service!

A brief trip to Halifax, got in to CHOP for dinner, we were seated immediately despite a busy night. Our server Katie was absolutely outstanding, very knowledgeable. Manager Jeremy found out it was our first time to CHOP and brought out a unique appetizer. Service, food, and atmosphere were excellent. Service went above and beyond to make our first visit memorable!

Food was amazing. I ordered a large crème brûlée but was served mini size.

We were looking forward to our first experience at Chooped! I want to state right off, our server was excellent! Attentive and caring she showed during these difficult times you can still enjoy an evening out! We were a party of 4, my wife, our two daughters and myself. Our daughters settled for the top sirloin, quite honestly it was nothing to remember! One was cooked as she asked, the other, she asked for medium and it came rare, even after being assured the chef knows exactly what to do ensuring a perfect steak! Fell short! The add on s, $6.00 for simple button mushrooms, lacking in flavor. Peppercorn sauce, $3.00 for a small side! Generally I dont complain, but when I sit there and find myself comparing Chopped to the Keg, and feeling there is more to do to earn my repeat visit, I think I will think twice before my return! I truly hope they succeed, and Im sure they will! But please let me focus on Chopped and not other steak houses!

Came here to celebrate my birthday and had great service from Jeremy and Jasmine. Think Ive found my new go to Halifax restaurant.

Jonas was affable and charming. Laughed at our jokes and was attentive. We enjoyed our meal and would like to return.

Somehow my order got messed up, I neve received the fries that were supposed to come with it, instead I got some type of salad, granted the salad was fresh, and while the burger tasted fine it was also dry as a bone

This was our first time dining at Chop, and had Jasmine as our server. My fiancé and I were celebrating our engagement, Jasmine went above and beyond with her knowledge of the menu, she was very friendly and attentive, and had a great attitude. We will definitely be back and hope to have Jasmine again!

Absolutely recommend coming here. The surf and turf was amazing. I dream of that steak now. And the server was polite and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal.

Best happy hour menu in town! Lovely staff, awesome soundtracks playing in the background to keep the groove maintained. Definitely try their Steak Bites (comes with an amazing horseradish aioli) and the Wild Mushroom and Goat Cheese dip!! A big shoutout to @Sarah B for being an amazing host.

Our server Kiersten was amazing. She was friendly, funny, and helpful. I d come back to here just because of the great job she did. Dietary restrictions: The staff put in extra effort to make sure that the dietary restrictions of the one person in our group were met so that she would have no worries coming out for dinner.

Ian was great. He went above and beyond expectations. They didn t make drinks with egg whites and he had the kitchen and bar work together to get it done and the drinks were amazing. Thank you Ian Parking: It was easy and made it so I didn t feel parking in Halifax stress.

We recently went there for my nieces bachelorette and right from the minute we arrived they were amazing. The manager came to our table and congratulated her. The staff was incredible and the Happy hour food choices and drinks were excellent

The staff and management were very welcoming, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond what we anticipated. Simply excellent. The food was very delicious and portions were a good size. My husband actually took a doggie bag home because it was so delicious. This is something he NEVER does! A wonderful dining experience - one we hope to repeat soon. Parking: A little confusing at first but nice to have indoor parking.

We came for breakfast, expensive $30 per person, not really filling and the coffee is bad.

Our server Mackenzie was amazing party of 6 but 2 arrived first and were given amazing service and drinks to start. She was honest about wait times, asked if we had plans after as to make sure were were out on time! Staff were pleasant and friendly! Vegetarian options: Amazing salads and house made dressings. The flavor with pickled onions is a nice addition!

Our waitress Sarah was an integral part of our wonderful dining experience(totally amazing). The entire meal was delicious, from appetizers, main course, drinks & desserts. The ambience was perfect. All of the staff that we encountered were very courteous. We will be back, and highly recommend the establishment. We celebrated our Anniversary & Birthday there.

Our server was Jasmine. She was one of the best waitress that I have ever met. She was always present when we needed something. Her knowledge of the menu was great. On top of all of that, she was very personable truly a delightful person to interact with.

The steak was so well done it was dry and I asked for med. rare. When I informed the staff the comped my drink but didnt offer to take the steak off of the bill. I would have appreciated the steak being comped... Because I didnt eat it.

Birthday meal for my son , The staff gave us an excellent table, which was fantastic. My son was over the moon. The food was absolutely delicious. They were out of 1 of the puddings but that only confirms its all fresh! He now rates this place his new favourite restaurant in Halifax.

Really really good. We stayed at the Sutton and ate at Chop 5 times during our stay. The breakfast is extremely delicious, shoutout to the incredible patatoes. The steaks and pasta are good aswell, 100% recommend!

We are staying in the Sutton Hotel and my husband and I decided to sneak down for some dessert - I can t recommend the mini trio enough, plus the service and speed was great. We loved it so much, we went back down for 9 pm happy hour and tried the steak bites, we had to order another plate, they were delicious. Can t wait to try some more

Chops just became our favorite restaurant. See ya soon. Parking: Parking can be easy as there is parking on site effectively approx $10. If downtown is busy and hotel full parking can be an issue.

I went with a group of 10 and we had a private room. The room was very spacious and perfect for our group. The waiter was incredible. The food was fabulous. Served fresh and hot. I had the steak Oscar and it was so good!

Our server Sarah B, was amazing with our first visit to the restaurant, however I never received my Diamond member discount or the $10 off coupon that the hotel gave me. The food the first day was good and bad, I loved the Chicken BLT but my wife had the Chicken Caesar and the chicken was plain without any seasoning. The restaurant gave us a free mushroom dip coupon for posting a review, so I went back the next night to use the coupon and ordered the Prime Rib and told them I would wait for the order and take it to my room, but they were out of the Prime Rib and came back 10 minutes later and told me as I was sitting at the bar waiting for the order. I assumed they were giving the Ribeye as a substitute as they were out of what I ordered and they promised to take it to my room for me, but stated there would be an autograt for the delivery which I was fine with. However I never received a bill for the delivery, (which btw was well undercooked) and thought everything was fine until I received my hotel bill the next day and to my surprise was Charged $122 for a $57 steak that I was supposed to get 15% off for ($8.55) and an additional $10 for my diamond member coupon that the front desk gave me when checking in. Which should have made it $38.45, plus tax and an autograt, seems like a far cry from $122. Stuff like this leaves someone with a bad taste and although I will be staying at the hotel again as it is quite nice, I would be hesitant to eat at Chop again.

Unbelievable restaurant inside the Sutton Place. Great seafood and appetizer dishes

We came in for happy hour (daily 3-6pm and 9pm-close, in lounge or on patio only) and sat at the bar. Surprisingly, the place was pretty much empty on a summer Sunday afternoon. The bartender was exceptionally sweet and provided exceptional service! Steak bites were a bit tough but they were very flavorful (more like a Beijing beef than standard salt/pepper steak). We also split the happy hour Chop burger with fries and it was the normal full menu portion.

Great spot with a great vibe and an amazing Happy Hour menu, steak bites are a must! But what sets this place apart is the staff. So incredibly welcoming, caring and friendly. Jeremy always ensured we were taken care of and the staff truly followed suit. Dont miss out on getting to grab a bite and a drink with some great conversation at this location!

We took my mother in law there who had traveled from Ontario for a funeral, and all she wanted was steak and lobster to cheer her up. So we decided on Chop. The reviews seemed great.... Its unfortunate that we showed up on such a busy night. The restaurant was packed, and the food, although prompt, was seriously lacking. We can only assume that the cook staff was overwhelmed, and just sent the food out anyways. The appetizers were seriously lacking in substance. The seafood was however perfect. The steaks were not great at all, which made us all really wonder. The sides were ok at best. The mushrooms were absolutely horrible. The cheesecake was actually tough...as though it had sat a couple of days in the fridge and the desert coffees looked as though the bartender had parkinsons when they made them. All in all.... if youre looking to spend $430.00 to feed 3 people.... go elsewhere. We were seriously disappointed. Edit**** So we did reach out to the hospitality manager by email.... I even called and left a message with a staff member. No one has called back. No emails. Still disappointed....

Very happy with The Chop. Made a reservation for the birthday of my girlfriend and was not disappointed. Our server Mackenzie made sure we had everything needed. We both ordered a steak, the New York and the Special Truffle both of us were extremely happy with what we received. They brought out a cake for desert with a birthday candle and card signed by the whole staff. Also received a free appetizer as it was our first time and then received free steak bites should we return. We will definitely be returning.

The food was fantastic: my boyfriend raved about the prime rib and Im still talking about the sauteed mushrooms. The staff was attentive and personable and one of the managers, Jeremy, made time to converse even though he was busily. It was a great dining experience.

Had the lobster and filet mignon steak for dinner. Lobster was fresh and easy to get out of the shell thanks to the cuts made in the shell for me. The melted butter over the candle was a fancy touch. Steak was perfect, had it with peppercorn sauce. My drink was refreshing without being too sweet. Service great, but my only complaint is I had to repeatedly ask for water as my server wouldn t remember. It was quite busy for 545pm dinner surprisingly

Had my worst steak experience in Halifax here, the kitchen managed to mess up every single one of my dish, the salad was amazing but missing an egg and our server didn t notice that until I pointed it out, I ordered the salad specifically for the egg. My medium rare steak was way overcooked and under-seasoned, it was very chewy and bland(you can see from the picture that even though it looks pink in the middle the surrounding area was completely brown, and the middle part was almost cooked through too you can just tell how dry it is from the picture). I had the upside down pineapple cake as dessert, well they served it to the wrong person first and by the time I got it my gelato fell down dessert was too sweet for my taste. But they have late operation hours and the atmosphere is ideal for late night drinks if you are around DT area.

What a Marvelous dinner experience we had tonight. Can t even wait til I get home to get this review done. THE BEST customer service. Alexis and Mike, you are phenomenal. Big thanks to both of you for making the night extra special. I was very honest with them when I said that the Prime Rib was the one that made me choose Chop to celebrate my husbands special day and I was really looking forward to it, but some unforeseen situation happened, which no one wanted to happen (So, that is understanble, out of their control). Nevertheless, Mike approached us politely and apologized. Then he gave us recommendation as a replacement for the Prime Rib, the Smoked Rib Eye (a must try, See photo). Aaaaannd, he was right. As a steak lover myself, I loved it. It was cooked just the way I wanted it, it was juicy and very delicious (YUM). Also, Alexis was very hospitable, nice and pretty (a bonus ). She was very helpful to us and I like her enthusiasm. Oh before i forgot, they also give my husband a birthday card, which is amazing. I just forgot to have Mike sign it too. On the other hand, FOOD was great. My husband ordered Sirloin and he liked it too. But the Smoked Rib Eye was the highlight of the night, my husband was really surprised when he saw my plate empty (LOL). The dessert was good too, I am indeed s cheesecake lover, nothing much special about it but I still liked it. We could have different views and tastebuds but Chop is just a total package for me (the service, the food and the environment/the ambiance). I love restaurant hopping, see different set up/vibe and try various cuisines/food but I guess this is must visit again restaurant for me. Again, kudos to Mike and Alexis. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chop Steakhouse and Bar in downtown Halifax, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. As a vegetarian, I often worry about finding suitable options at steakhouses, but my concerns were quickly alleviated by the exceptional service and hospitality of the staff, particularly Brittany and Mike. From the moment I stepped in, I was warmly welcomed, and Brittany and Mike went above and beyond to ensure that my dietary preferences were not just accommodated, but celebrated. They guided me through the menu, offering delicious vegetarian options that were both flavorful and satisfying. Their attention to detail and genuine care made me feel truly valued as a guest. And need less to say my non-vegetarian friends obviously had an equally enjoyable experience. It was evident that the entire team at Chop Steakhouse and Bar is dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience for all guests. The ambiance was inviting, the food was impeccable, and the service was second to none. I cannot recommend Chop Steakhouse and Bar enough, even to fellow vegetarians who may have reservations about dining at a steakhouse. With appetizers like onion rings maxican rib corn and mains like linguini pasta youre guaranteed a memorable and delicious experience.

Mackenzie was our server during our visit celebrating my dad s birthday before a concert, she was absolutely amazing. I ve been to chop so many times and have always had an amazing experience, but I can confidently say Makenzie was the absolute best service I ve ever had here at Chop. So knowledgeable, pulled out all the little extra stops for us and made it a truly memorable experience. Thank you Mackenzie!! We look forward to coming back!

Avoid tables near the kitchen, staff shout CORNER every time they go in or come out. Funny for the first 10 minutes but gets old throughout the meal.

My friends and I normally come here on special occasions. Their food stays constantly delicious and never has disappointed us. Very engaging staff and food prices are responsible. All the sides we order are sharable and tasty. We will definitely come back again.

The staff went above and beyond to make my parents feel so very special on their anniversary. From the greeter to the bartender, server, and manager who they interacted with, and those who spoke to me over the phone when calling to make special arrangements...they made the occasion that much more memorable. We went to Chop to meet family for Dinner and a drink. There were 6 of us and the restaurant was 1/2 empty they had us in booth not sure why they thought it was ok to sit 6 adults in a booth. The meal was lovely and our wait staff were great. When we were finished our meal and just sitting back finishing our wine I saw something out of the corner of my eye and when I looked it was 2 Mice!!! Running around! Now I know that big buildings have rodents at times, however if there are 2 running around in a noisy restaurant makes me wonder how many they actually have. We were moved to the front of the restaurant where there were more people and hopefully they would stay in the back. I was a little surprised when our bills came and they did not take off at least a glass of wine . We will not be returning to this restaurant.

When we first walked in, the reception was right beside the entrance to the restaurant, which put me off for a minute. Once inside, we got a great table, the service was excellent, and the food was great. We will definitely be back. Mike is an excellent manager and Reese was our server and awesome at CS!

We enjoyed ourselves. Mackenzie was our server. She was great. It would have been great when we ordered the bread, it came pre cut in the cone or with a knife and cutting board. Parking: It would be great if you made a reservation, you would be asked about parking in the garage. If you wanted it, the restaurant would make the reservation for parking 15 minutes prior to the booked time. It would be less fuss for clients knowing they had a spot reserved in the garage with their restaurant reservation.

Brittanys a champio nbartender. Handled a busy bar alone, and treated my wife and I to prosecco on the house because she was attentive enough to overhear me tell a stranger it was our anniversary. And all that while the joint was humming with the aftermath of a neighboring events overflow piling in. Recommend, although I didnt have a chance to order the food. But that was our own impatient fault.

Thoroughly enjoyed happy hour incredible service from bartenders Cam and Julia, amazing drinks. All staff are friendly and accommodating, everything we ate was delicious.

Mackenzie was a delight. She was professional and friendly, even after someone at our table jokingly asked to switch waitresses and then tried to convert her to working for their McDonalds franchise that they didnt have. She took all our shenanigans in stride. We hope to see you again Mackenzie and we will be less annoying, promise .

I tried the rib eye with peppercorn as steak topper and mash potatoes. In general, steak was good. I would give a rate of 8/10. Trío dessert was good too if you want tried different desserts. Services was good as well. I went on a Thursday. It was good experience for all of my coworkers.

Had an incredible experience at Chop Steakhouse! The ambiance was perfect, and the food was superb. The highlight of the evening was definitely the amazing bartender, Brittany, who crafted the most delicious cocktails and provided the best service. Looking forward to visit again.

Went out for dinner tonight at Chop with my wife and kids. My prime rib was amazing. The appetizers, equally amazing. My wifes rib eye, not so much, it was very tough. We arent new to chop, and she always orders rib rye medium well, though this time just medium, and youd think itd be even more tender but it was very chewy and tough. It was the first time she didnt finish her steak.. the waitress was very attentive at the beginning, until she brought our entrees, saying shed be back in a minute to check up on us, but did not once check in until i was finished or to fill waters which were empty. We left thirsty. She walked by several times to serve other tables but did not stop in. I understand they were very busy but its still not an excuse not to check in atleast once after entrees were served, it wouldve been appreciated if she couldve gotten someone else to check on us if she were so busy or had told us while she was beside our table that shed be with us in a minute.. my wife couldve gotten her steak remade and we couldve been eating together, but I was already finished by the time she finally came by and my wife could tell her about the steak.. she did bring a manager and they offered to remake it or take it off the bill, my wife chose to remove it from the bill as i was already finished and it was getting late. I felt awful my wife didnt leave full, she loves and raves on about chop and this was disappointing. Servers need to check in after entrees are served to ensure everythings okay.. not checking in once is unnaceptable, again I know there were other big parties and it was quite busy, and Im sure they did well tonight, but when we come to chop we do spend a fair amount as well, and our small party of 4 deserves the same attentiveness and service as a big party.

My husband and the kids and I dined at CHOP tonight! Its our favorite steakhouse. Were very familiar with the franchise as we were regulars in Winnipeg! Food is always great, however, tonight sadly - the service missed the mark. We waited about 15 minutes for our order to be taken, and we were so very hungry. We also waited a long time for our waters to be refilled a few times - even after placing the empty glasses around the edge of the table in clear view for the waitress to see. I ordered the New York strip, my husband ordered his usual - the Prime rib, but had to change it to the Ribeye, as they were out of Prime Rib. Im very familiar with both the smoked Ribeye and Ribeye as its usually my go-to - my husband not so much. He offered me to taste-test his steak as he found it quite smokey and thought maybe he was served the smoked ribeye, instead of the Ribeye which he had ordered - although enjoying nontheless. After tasting it, I agreed. It definitely tasted smokey! We asked the waitress and she confirmed with the kitchen that it was indeed just the Ribeye. Again, my husband enjoyed it nontheless! In conclusion, the food was top-notch, although service could be a bit speedier and more attentive. We understood, though, as our waitress appeared to be the only one on the floor - serving a few other tables. Well be back! Till next time, Chop!

Wildly fantastic dining experience. The flavours were divine, my steak prepared to perfection, and the best Creme Brulee since visiting Paris many years ago. Our server, Yana, was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly with perfect timing between courses. We even had a visit to our table by Jeremy, one of the managers. Superb!!

Date night @ Chop again Still my favourite place to eat in Halifax. I actually plan on being a regular! Went again last week, food was great, service was great, even our trainee server was super sweet and helpful definitely following the steps of the other great staff. This time I got the steak and lobster with loaded potato and fresh veggies. Was delicious. And got my regular favourite lobster mac & cheese. Then we also try the steamed mussels and the Birria tacos as well as the veggie burger. All were really delicious, and topped off with some drinks. Until next time! Wow! Delicious! Steak cooked perfectly with THE BEST sear I ve ever seen and tasted. The crème brûlée was unreal. I didn t want it to end. Service was excellent. We felt like VIP s. Our booth felt quite private and was comfortable. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and the server congratulated us. Then, the manager came out and did the same with complimentary champagne. Amazing touch. Can t wait to return!

Best steak I ever had in my life. Appetizers as well were good but their meat is divine.

This restaurant is one of my favourite places to get prime rib, but everything else Ive tried is not really all that amazing. Ill keep coming for prime rib, but temper my expectations for apps, soups, and salads. The French onion soup wasnt really all that great, the tuna tataki is decent but nothing too special, and the chocolate pot de creme special was great in texture, but lacking in flavour. The prime rib is excellent quality meat, cooked properly, with well thought out sides, and flavourful demi glace on top. Ill keep going back for it.

Sorry. The quality of the food gets no stars. Out of nine differt dishes none were great. I ordered filet mignon which was very tough. The baked potato was raw on most of the inside and the steak knife couldnt cut into it. It was replaced at the end of the meal by a bowl of mashed potatoes which were like glue. All of the prime ribs ordered were full of fat so that the bites of meat had to be found and cut out of the fat. The bread , however, was delicious but was an extra charge with the 9 orders of roughly $45 to $ 65 each. My son was here from out of town and wanted to take us to a good steak house but was very disappointed. This is not one.

We booked for a family reunion meal, we were given a private dining room, and asked if we wanted music which was a nice touch Our waitress was brilliant, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating The food was outstanding and served in a timely manner, this is our fourth visit and we will be back

Although service was fantastic and it is a very nice dining room. I was disappointed with the food, I was expecting to be wowed. It was good but nothing special steaks were overcooked and veggies were bland. Not worth the price. The Cut is way better if you spending this kind of money.

First time in for the full supper. Had a fantastic time. Mackenzie, our server, was attentive, energetic and super friendly. Really enjoyed the meal, and will certainly not be the last time there!

Mackenzie our server was attentive, kind and interesting to interact with. The food was perfect to order and atmosphere was intimate and not too loud even with a birthday party and bachelor party near by! Would definitely do again and bring clients!

Honestly Im not usually much of a steak house person. I can cook a better steak at home for a fraction of the price. But thats not why you go to Chop. Its got a great vibe. Staff are attentive (even if a little pushy with the drinks, etc). Lots of interesting options on the menu. But very spendy. Perhaps why there are so many birthday parties going on there. Could be a good spot for an appetizer and a cocktail to start the evening.

Wasnt really wowed. Food a little cool when it reached the table...potatoes were super hot, but steak, shrimp, and sauce were cold. Weird.

Im only reviewing the bar as we never dined. We stayed at the hotel and this bar was convenient. The first night we were seated at the bar and the male bartender gave us impeccable service. He let us try the smoked old fashioned at the price of a happy hour old fashioned. It was one of the best smoked drinks weve ever had. So naturally we had to return the following night to have it again at full price which was well worth it.

Food was excellent. Had the Filet Mignon which was cooked Medium-Rare at perfection.

We come here a couple times a year and we are NEVER disappointed! Food is great and the service is even better! Our waitress McKenzie is amazing! Weve had her a couple times and makes our visit there even more pleasurable. I hope Chop realizes and acknowledges the great service she gives! This service is a big part of why we keep coming back.

Took my man here last night for his birthday. He loves steak, and this place didnt disappoint him. They made the steak the way he wanted, and this made his day so special. There is more privacy here. The atmosphere was a bonus. The service was excellent. REECE our server was so friendly and helpful. She made the service more personalized for us. And oh, we had a surprise free birthday dessert with happy birthday on it at the end also a birthday card signed by everyone. It was very sweet. I highly recommend this place. Will definitely come back. Take note: When you order your food here, make sure to make your server know how you want it done. We loved our half cooked vegetables, say, for example. Just let the kitchen know.

I was very impressed with Chop. The food, staff, and atmosphere were unbelievable, as well as easily accessible parking. I was most impressed by the staffs attention to my nut allergy. I have never been to a restaurant that took my nut allergy as serious as Chop did, and that is highly appreciated. Thanks for the great experience! (If I remember correctly our server was Olivia and she was amazing!)

Parking can be tricky, during events in the area. Therefore, be mindful when booking a reservation. Service was excellent, and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable about their menu. Food was prompt and not rushed in between servings. The food was amazing and plentiful. We decided to eat in the lounge, however; next time I would choose the restaurant. The price point was what we expected for the service and style of restaurant. They had quality house wines for options. Was disappointed in the desert, was what I expected, and would not order again. I would recommend this place to anyone who in the area. Parking: Can be extremely difficult during events in the area.

Was an amazing meal. Took my niece for her birthday last night. Staff was amazing. Got a free dessert which she loved. Highly recommend for a night out.

We came in to just order 2 crème brûlée as a nice little Monday treat. They came as if they hadnt been torched at all, hardly a crust to speak of. We told our server, she took them away and had them fixed up. When they came back, they were exactly as we expected. Havent had troubles at this place before, and it really wasnt a big deal anyway. Still happy overall. $25 for 2 Crème brûlées may be a tiny bit too steep, but oh well.

Our meal and experience was amazing. Our server Ian was amazing, very professional. Food was made to perfection and has hand delivered by the head chef. The manager Stephanie also stopped by several times to check on our meal. To end it all off, the desert was delicious. We will be returning.

Chop Halifax really knows how to do it! Had my birthday supper with a few friends last nite and to say it was excellent would be an understatement. The atmosphere, drinks/food, music and service was exceptional. Adrianna was by far the best server I have experienced in 22 years of living in Halifax. She was extremely friendly and positive. The food was incredible as well. If you go to Chops I highly recommend you request Adrianna!

My husband and I dined in and had the prime rib which was excellent. The escargot was a disappointment because it was over seasoned and you could not appreciate the escargot. It had a kind of breaded crust. They very quickly took it away and apologized and both managers dropped by our table to see if they could do anything else. It was a very comfortable upscale atmosphere. Our server Ian was very helpful and knowledgeable about how the menu. They definitely tried to give great personal service. I asked where they got their wine glasses and the manager came by with his phone and showed me the glasses. I highly recommend it and appreciated to excellent service.
