Huge portions with the party platter.. some of the rolls sort of fell apart but the extra free rolls they have is more than made up for it.. they gave us a ton of soy, ginger and wasabi and on top of that it was super super quick service Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair friendly

This is our go-to date night food. The sushi is delicious and you cant beat the prices. Its also the most filling sushi you can get for the price because they always throw in an extra roll or two on the house. You also get 10% off for paying in cash! All in - the price is unbeatable and the sushi wont disappoint. Be sure to try the salmon toro nigiri torched.

A group of us (5) visiting from out West stopped in to eat some fresh sushi. We had the dinner for 4 which was a HUGE amount of food for $85. The fish kept coming with several complimentary items. The freshness, textures and flavours were all excellent. We are so grateful for the maritime hospitality that was shown to our group. I encourage all persons who enjoy Japanese cuisine to try this establishment.

Easily the most enjoyable sushi dinner weve ever had! The food is delicious, well priced, and already in large quantities - but the piece de resistance is that they surprise every guest with a LOT of sushi on the house. So if you sit here for a while, you get to see customer after customer shocked by a whole additional meal brought to them on the house, along with the slowly dawning realization that they will either be filling up with sushi up to their throat or eating raw fish for the next few days! Truly its like having dinner on the set of a prank show - a one of a kind experience. Could not recommend more!

Called in for pick up as it was close to our place. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member, but also the sushi chefs acknowledged us as well which was warming. They ended up giving us extra rolls and items as they were about to close. All the food is fresh and tastes amazing. Great price as well. Highly recommend

Amazing atmosphere, beyond kind, respectful and outgoing customer service with everyone welcoming us and also saying goodbye when leaving. They generously gave so much extra to us, from rolls to salads and other things, they didn t hold back on making sure we got the right experience for our first time. Me and my buddy haven t been able to shut up about how great everything here is and we recommended anyone looking for amazing sushi made & served by some of the best people alongside great customer service, GO HERE!!! I love this place. I have celiacs disease and have never had an issue eating there. They always add an extra little treat and theyre always very friendly! Nothing bad to say, such a great meal for the price! Dietary restrictions: Celiac safe (in my experience)

I love the sushi here, and the staff are consistently friendly and usually efficient. The bathrooms feel like they havent changed or been deep cleaned in far too long - its the only thing about wasabi house I wouldnt recommend. The happy hour specials are pretty great and I always receive more than I expect. IYKYK Wheelchair accessibility: There are a handful of steps to get in and the bathrooms are small and difficult to maneuver around in.

was locked out of my car so I was in poor spirits when I went to kill some time while waiting for a locksmith by sitting to have some sake and sushi. waiter was so friendly and they gave me a bunch of sushi on the house. i only stayed for a short while but they made my night so much better and made me feel special. it is truly appreciated and I ll be back when I m back in Halifax with a bigger tip than I could afford tonight.

They stopped dine-in since the pandemic started, heard they resumed dine-in recently and decided to go for lunch. The sushi tastes the same as before, the food is fresh and the service is as good as ever. The two of us ordered three rolls and tempura shrimp. The boss gave us a large plate of sushi for free. In the end, we paid less than $35 and took a large box home. I will be back again.

This was our first time trying this restaurant. Everything was delicious. Great food, great service, friendly staff, and the complimentary sushi rolls were a very nice and pleasant surprise! Its definitely worth a try if you have never been to this restaurant.

Visiting from out of town and am thoroughly impressed by the staff and quality of food/service provided! You can tell this is a popular place because even late at 9pm there was a line and chefs busy preparing fresh rolls. I enjoyed their happy hour sushi roll combos and 10% off cash discount, the line went very fast and the wait for food also fast. Was very happy to see a few extra rolls in my order too! I used to go to Wassabi house a long time ago Picked up an order today. Sushi was mid. There was no chopsticks soy sauce or anything inside the bag You would think for giving extra sushi you would at least throw a pair of chopsticks in there,,, You can tell the business is going down I went inside and there was barely any table set up.. Smell inside this is disappointing. Will never return. Will share my experience to all workers at the airport.

My recent experiences at Wasabi House have left me disappointed. On my last two visits, I noticed a decline in the quality of their sushi. The sushi tasted off, forcing me to discard it upon arriving home. Todays order was particularly disappointing; some pieces were deep-fried but poorly constructed, resembling mere nubs of sushi. Furthermore, the tuna sashimi was slimy and tough to chew in the spicy tuna rolls. As someone who has always enjoyed grabbing sushi from Wasabi House with friends, I am now hesitant to return due to concerns about food quality and potential food poisoning. Its disheartening to think that they may not be monitoring the freshness and quality of their fish. I hope they take steps to address these issues as Ive previously been a loyal customer.

They gave us someone else s food. The person s serving me seemed like they did not want to be there. But the food was really good. Like what I remember years ago. Other staff were friendly.

Happy hours are a good option for sushi, and the taste was good. Especially the thing I liked was the bonus rolls for free. But the menu for happy hours has not a lot of options.

I dont understand how this place has any good reviews. Worst food Ive ever had. Literally nothing we ordered tasted good. The restaurant was also very dirty. Sticky floors and dust everywhere. They gave us extra maki rolls and I wish they hadnt... That salmon shouldnt have left the kitchen.

The service was fantastic and the sushi was delicious. We have food allergies and they were very good about making sure we could eat the sushi. the chef made us extra on the house. It was a great experience.

The fish here is never fresh. If youre going to go, choose all vegetarian options and youll be perfectly happy. They always bring at least one sushi roll you didnt order as a free bonus. The rallying cry seems to be let no-one leave hungry but feel free to risk their lives with fish thats on the turn. Having said that, theyre exceedingly popular. Im guessing most people dont know what fresh fish tastes like but maybe Im just over-sensitive

best sushi experience in halifax hands down! i ll be back for sure. the complimentary crab and sweet potato roll and mango roll were delicious. i d never tried a mango roll and it was tasty! the sweet potato tempura avocado roll is a favourite of mine and they made it well. the service was very quick and they had good sake. the environment was perfect, not too loud and the space didn t feel too big or small. next time i m gonna make sure to try some chef specials and branch out a bit more. our waitress cathy was incredibly nice and she made our night :)

What does excellent customer service mean? This answer the Wasabi House sure knows. The food was wonderful, the waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive and the cooks were happy to receive customers. It sure makes all the difference.

Sushi is really good, service is fast and generous (they always include extra rolls in our orders!). I recommend the sweet potato tempura roll! The only tradeoff is that sushi is sometimes prepared in a rush and the end rolls arent always perfect. Edamame is a little tough, gyoza is underwhelming.

We were in the area and looking at dine in options. I found this restaurant and was sold by reviews immediately. I knew I had to try it. Not sure how you can spend there $10-20 per person. You eithereat like a bird or dont like rolls. We ordered bento box, udon, couple rolls and ice-cream with bananas. I wouldnt call it a lot of food per person, our bill was a little over $60 per 2 people. The food was very fresh and delicious! Complementary rolls were also VERY good. I wouldnt think of ordering them myself, but the combinations of ingredients make them so yummy, I will order them next time. I would definitely recommend the place!

Great sushi for a reasonable price. After going to many sushi spots I believe this restaurant has one of the beat prices without sacrificing on quality. For 30$ I had a full stomach, some leftovers and tons of variety. The chefs also care a lot about their customers!

Ive been going to Wasabi House since it opened and always loved the food. Came back after moving away for 3 years and the food was horrible. So bad that we only ate a few bites, the sweet potato roll tasted weird, the cucumber slices were huge when before they were thinly sliced. Sad to say but i wont be going back to Wasabi House

Wasabi House in Lower Saclville was a personal favorite of mine, so I figured Id try the Halifax location out with my girlfriend. Out waiter was phenomenal, and the service was excellent like always. Be return here again for sure. Amazing sushi and the atmosphere is relaxing and cute.

Really great value, it was a joyous event when we got free rolls to our order. That really put it into 5 star territory from a value perspective. Sushi is pretty decent, not mindblowing but nice quality and have no complaints. In terms of sushi in Halifax this should be your go to place in the city.

Unbeatable value. Excellent service. My only complaint is that I find the sushi often Has too much rice. While youll find cheaper sushi and youll find better sushi, youll never find such quality and quantity for this price. The best value a la carte sushi in Halifax. I highly recommend this restaurant, a hallmark Halifax experience if youre eating on a budget. If youre looking for all you can eat I recommend Jukai (Dartmouth). For higher quality consider Doraku (Dartmouth).

My boyfriend and I are on vacation from PA in the states. After driving 15 hours we were exhausted and decided to stop here because of the amount of positive reviews. They did not disappoint! Ive been to many countries and tried different sushi, but this is just a nightmare. Overcooked rice looks like mashed potatoes. We ordered a lot of rolls but they all tasted the same.

Great food and excellent service/staff. The folks here were incredibly friendly, helpful and anticipated our needs. The salmon sashimi was fresh and tender, the mango topping excellent and tuna tataki portions were huge. The spicy rolls were not overly spicy but still tasty. Staff offered us a complimentary roll but we were already stuffed. We cannot wait to come back here - we have been looking for something comparable to what we were accustomed to in Vancouver and so far this is the best in Halifax.
