My go to spot every second Friday. Love their pad Thai noodles and spring rolls.

Sure enough, it is a super fast restaurant. The taste is not good. The Thai style noodles and Tom Yum Noodles are not authentic. The noodles are very hard. To be honest, they are not as delicious as instant noodles.

Dirty. Tables full of food pieces, needed to ask them to clean it. Bins with food for the meals didnt look great either. Nice personnel.

Thai food that s my favourite food but after eating in your restaurant I believe you must need cooking classes from right Thai chef I made order for red curry with rice lol in literally in 1:30 minutes food was ready but chicken was cold and curry was taste less I guess it s my life s most terrible Thai food I ever had please don t ripoff the people,if they are paying $23 plus for only single serve atleast we deserve good food quality not rubish.

Bad service for the Lady cashier using the phone while serving, rude to Uber driver she said that he can t use the washroom. There s a lot of people who s looking for job. Be grateful lazy lady.

The lady at the counter at Spring garden branch is the most arrogant, rude and disrespecting person Ive ever met. I am writing this review to bring to your attention a concerning incident that occurred during my recent delivery from your restaurant at Spring Garden branch. As a delivery boy for Doordash, I was shocked and disappointed by the rude and arrogant behavior of one of your employees (the lady at the counter) towards me. On March 31st, I arrived at your restaurant to pick up an order. Upon entering, I approached this lady at the counter and introduced myself. However, instead of acknowledging me, the employee responded with a dismissive and condescending tone, making me feel unwelcome and disrespected. Throughout the entire interaction, the employee displayed a lack of professionalism and basic courtesy towards me, treating me as if I was not worthy of their attention or respect. After disrespecting, she laughed at me as I was in shock with her rude attitude. I found this behavior to be unacceptable and deeply concerning. I hope that you take this review seriously and take appropriate action against this lady at the counter to ensure that all employees at your restaurant treat others with respect and professionalism, regardless of their role or position.

I ordered the Thai pineapple and asked for no pineapple since I am allergic. Someone there thought it would be funny to still add pineapple on it. Never ordering again. Trying to kill people I d say on purpose. Of coarse they are foreign and don t care long as they get there money.

The service, the workers everything is great. The food is amazing too, my spice cravings are definitely sorted out here which I like. A little bit pricey but the food is worth it.

Very pricy for what you get. The cashier barely took his eyes off his phone and forgot our drinks. We had to almost jump up and down to get his attention. The food was average. The curry sauce was tasty.

I went into this location yesterday evening around 9:30pm. The staff told me they were getting ready to close as I was eating my food and I would have to hurry up and eat and leave. They already had did the same to another customer she stopped eating and left. The website for this location clearly states open until 10pm. Also there were more customers coming through the door. I am very unhappy with my visit. Something needs to be done with the employees working there

I used to frequently visit this location, but the recent visits did not leave a great impression due to the way their customer service is run. Not able to use the rewards program since the tapping device would not work. Spent about half an hour waiting for the CS representative to try and fix it / call the owner. Asked if they could issue a gift card equivalent to the points earned, but they could not do it. Will bring my business somewhere else then.

The only negative with Thai Express is the impact their addictive food options have had on my bank account. After living in Halifax for a month and a bit, I ve already had food here at least 5 times. Their chicken pad thais are phenomenal, and the new Shak-A-Bowls are a great addition to the menu, with fantastic portion sizes. You can t go wrong here, and even with new staff learning how to work the POS system, they ve always made sure to get my order taken correctly, and their more experienced staff seem to have genuine interest in helping their new trainees get up to speed. Keep up the great work and it will only be a matter of time before I m back here for more. Also the imperial rolls are a fantastic deal for a little add on to your order, and rather delicious.

We don t usually have Thai food. We happened to bump into this location the other day, we had a very good experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was also amazing. I would recommend this location to anyone that would like to try Thai food.

Website says open till 12 but they closed at 10 pm. And the person was rude. If you closing early kindly update the site. Some people travel sometime to reach their.

Great stop to eat, loved the fresh veggies and noodles. Would recommend, nice and close for those exploring the waterfront.

I love Thai food but their food quality was garbage and I couldn t even eat. The chief was unrespectful when I said the food is too spicy. I threw their food out. I don t recommend this place at all.

I just tried the Green Curry Chicken at Thai Express for the very first time. I couldn t taste ANY curry and the dish smelled like dirty feet. Something was wrong. I couldn t eat it. I hope the little bit I did swallow doesn t make me sick.

Food was fast to come out and was pretty good. Just wish there was some music playing inside or something it was a bit ominous. Dietary restrictions: Lots of options to remove peanuts or other oils used in the food. Very cautious place!

RANT Usually love this place. it s my go to. however recently a new woman has been hired and has been very unpleasant in my encounters with her. To start, i waited 13 minutes to ORDER as she stood there complaining to her boss. at that point i left with no food. this time she gave my girlfriend a very dirty look, was not properly wearing her hairnet, and was playing on her phone WITH HER GLOVES ON AND DID NOT CHANGE THEM BEFORE GOING BACK TO WORK. very disappointed.

I always get chicken pad Thai at Halifax shopping centre and it s fantastic, I ordered through Uber Eats tonight and it used the Spring Garden Rd location and it was awful, nothing like what I get at Halifax Shopping Center, couldn t even eat it, very disappointed

Super fast service

The food is good. Its tasty, a little expensive though, specially the chocolate banana cake. In general it was great.

I like eating here because the food is always tasty. The express part is held up as I am never waiting longer than 10 minutes. Sometimes its even faster than that. Great for those moments when I need to get back to work quickly. General Thai Chicken is my favorite choice.

The green curry gave me and some friends severe food poisoning, we were out for several days. Avoid at all cost.

Google Maps says that this restaurant closes at midnight during the week and at 4AM on the weekends. This restaurant has had its doors closed at 11pm three days in a row now. Either the restaurant updates its hours of operation or they actually stay open to serve customers.

Ordered their vegan pad Thai off skip with two emperor rolls and a drink. Got lo mein noodles and vegetables with one roll, no drink, no sauce. The noodles had a package of peanuts, no lime. Tasted like food court ready hot food, not made to order. Pretty sure it wasnt. I wont eat here again Im afraid. Edit: I commend the owner for reaching out and making things right, that goes a long way with me so Im changing my rating. They back up their food quality.

Update March 2022: The food is not even good anymore. What I got today was very dry and dissatisfying. I don t think I ll be back. I ordered delivery from here in March 2021. I got a Thai Chai (tea). They literally put a tea bag in a fountain cup with no water. One would expect the tea to be prepared. The service is definitely sub-par (bad listening skills), but the food is what keeps me coming back.

Disgusting meal. $15 for chicken pad thai that the chicken must have run through because it was difficult to find the meat. The noodles were soaked in oil and tasted nothing like pad thai. The restaurant was filthy. Big mistake.

Went in and ordered two vegan pad thais. On the menu it says it includes radish, tofu, and green onion. I ve had pad thais from there multiple times and what we received wasn t at all what we ordered as it had none of the ingredients listed ( but instead had broccoli, red peppers, and what I think was bok choy?) and tasted like a stir fry (and a bad one as it just tasted burned). I went up and asked if what we had was indeed a pad Thai and the cashier said yes and asked what the problem was. He said that they don t have tofu anymore and I asked about the radish and green onions and the pad Thai flavour and he said that they changed the recipe. I asked if we could have our money back because it s not at all what we asked for and the cashier got the cook over and they were both looking very angry and intimidated me into leaving. Will not be returning. Only two stars because at first the cashier was really nice and accommodating for our vegan choice.

Google says open until 12:00am, but when we got there around 11:30pm, the guy who popped up from behind the counter very rudely said they were closed even though the doors were still unlocked and people were able to walk in. Drove all the way over to Halifax because they were supposed to be open, just to get turned away. Very disappointed and probably wont be going back to try again.

You should allow Uber drivers to use the washroom. They help you to run your business and you are able to serve your all customers. Very bad experience.

Once you have found your way through the menu, you can get your food very quickly. It was super tasty. Especially the meat. I can only recommend. In general, you should tolerate a bit of spiciness. But the friendly staff also helps 5 stars price/performance 5 star staff

Terrible customer service and false advertising. Refused to honour price for $7.30 Thai My Salad and forced to pay and inflated price for things we didnt want. Definitely avoid.

worst experience placed online order on 22nd August at 10.35pm for $35 as their website mentioned open till 12.00midnight.I went to pickup and the staff was closing they said they close at 10.30pm and had not received any orders seeing my situation the cook gave me the food he prepared for himself even tough i refused and a drink for my trouble and told no one present had the knowledge to do a refund.Told me to contact the manager next day I called they took my number and told theyd call back about giving the refund.And I called them on 26th august as i had not heard anything from them or the customer service support who I had e-mailed with when i called they started saying i was spamming as they dont accept order from website and for my $35 order they said they had compensated me with a drink and rice.The management and ownership is really so squingy even tough I have the proof they are refusing to accept or take an action.

Super annoyed with the workers at this location, I love spicy food and can HANDLE spicy food, so when I go I always order extra spicy pad Thai. Every time I ve gone to this location it s an issue, the blonde woman on cash always feels the need to tell me extra spicy it s too spicy and try to get me to get it less spicy. Today was no different. Though today there was a boy in front of me who ordered his food extra spicy and she did the same thing to him as she usually does to me. When I went up and ordered mine extra spicy there was no argument. However, when they made the extra spicy pad Thai which should have been for the boy in front of me they wouldn t let him take it and insisted it was mine even though we ordered THE SAME THING. So I took the food even though we were both very confused, as I was leaving I heard the cook tell him his is more spicy then mine. WHY!? If we BOTH HAVE THE SAME ORDER MAKE IT THE SAME. I am SO TIRED of people trying to tell me how spicy I eat MY OWN FOOD! If there is ab extra spicy option make it the same for everyone and don t try to assume some can handle it and some can t. Anyway my food was hardly spicy which is infuriating because they looked at me and made a decision I couldn t take spicy. Someone needs to re train their staff on how to handle orders and to stop making assumptions about people. Super disappointed. Won t bother going there again. Which sucks because I work next door.

I was there 2 hours ago and ordered my food with extra veggies. There was not even normal quantity of veggies in my order. Paid for extra and received not even normal stuff. Either don t charge or give what people are paying for.

Not a good experience overall. Somehow disappointed. I like both south Indian food and Thai food as well. At the restaurant I found some pure south Indian chef preparing Thai food. And finally it was Thai food with south Indian taste

Favorite chicken pad Thai great service!

WORST thai express location ever. They add substitutions to your order without letting you know (and they think chicken can be a substitute for tofu...), they refuse to fix their mistakes, refuse to answer the restaurant phone (but will take the handle off so that you can HEAR the restaurant before they hang up on you without answering), and take forever to even make the food. I have given this place about four tries and it has been a huge disappointment each time, with issue after issue. I have since sworn off Thai Express completely, as I contacted their customer service, as they comment here to do, and they simply ignored me, and never responded. Really awful customer service, really overpriced mediocre food, sold to you by people who do not care enough to make it right.

Inconsistent in their food orders. Poor amounts of rice and other included sides on delivery orders and spice levels are all over the place compared to what you request. Go to a different one if you can, nothing but constant problems with this one.

Ordered some different apps, picked up our order and when got home, we found we were missing items. Went back to store, and they very quickly replaced the missing items plus extra. Food was pretty good for for fast food, reasonably priced for the area, and the staff were courteous and pleasant .

Used to be really good until they switched cooks, you cannot feel/taste the love anymore.

Every time I go to this location my order is always made wrong. I keep going back to give them the benefit of the doubt but always leave disappointed. The cooks always make strange additions to the menu items. Today I ordered red curry which usually comes with red pepper, bamboo shoots, onions & basil. I requested no basil and they added eggplant even though it s not supposed to be in the dish. If I had been allergic it could have been a major health issue. Some kind of adherence or consistency to the menu would be nice. If you order from them, be sure to check your order before you leave the store

Just got my Uber eats order from the spring garden location. Somehow my pad Thai is burnt, and much spicier than what I ordered. This has never happened to be before, but I m very disappointed!

My worst ever experience with Thai food. Big fan of Thai, tried at different places all over Canada. This is the worst. I ordered a curry with rice, I had to use magnifying glasses to find traces of curry. Utterly disappointed, I will not suggest any of university friend to try this place.

Had a dismal experience when I ordered a bouquet of dishes online via UberEats recently. Once a go-to place for Thai cuisine, the place has absolutely lost all its charm after letting go its earlier chefs. The Thai food, now, doesn t even come close to its earlier self. After getting bland food the first time round, we brushed it away as a one-off incidence. However, despite multiple complaints and suggestions, the food didn t improve a bit for the next couple of times. Once loyalists of the place, given the lack of taste, uncooked veggies, and the reduced serving size, we wouldn t recommend the restaurant to anyone now.

This is my medium cashew chicken stir fry salad. Id say it looks more like spicy beef broccoli pad se ew except theres only one piece of broccoli in the whole box. Not only that but before I got home to open my box, I had to go back for my imperial rolls that I was never given. I was the only one in the restaurant at the time so Im not sure what happened.

Called for 30 minutes with no answer only to show up 15 minutes to close to be refused , never again and definitely don t recommend

We were mailed a coupon for this location specifically. We get there and the cashier has no idea what coupons are, they have to call a manager who wont pick up. They tell is to wait untill they eventually get someone over facetime that just yells at us, the customers. Telling us they wont accept it. Fair enough we thought, untill we try to leave and the door is locked. No one in the restaurant is able to unlock their own door, its no where near closing time mind you. Someone had to break through the fire escape and get the emergency key from a lockbox on the outside of the door to let out hungry customers who just wanted to leave after being fed up with their poor customer service. Would give zero stars if I could, we almost called 911.

Thai Express is one of my favorite fast food restaurants. If you want you can chose from relatively healthy options, but you still get satisfying flavour. The menu can be a little overwhelming the fist time you go. Only complaint is prices are not listed on the menu.

Did not know this location was here, I believe it is somewhat new. Received coupons in the mail buy one get one 50% off so decided to try. The Pad Thai was okay. More vegetables would be good, but the General Thai beef was excellent, as were the fried bananas for desert. Huge portions! The cooks were hardworking and friendly but the front end staff not as much. The restaurant itself was a little dirty. Sticky tables!

Just ordered a spicy chicken pad Thai from the spring garden location and it was nothing what it usually tastes like. Lack of sauce no flavour whatsoever. It was a rushed made pad Thai that was definitely not worth the money.

I usually love Thai Express. This was such a disappointment :( it was no where near as good as the one on Duke st. When I bit into a big chicken bone in my pad thai that ruined it for me. And the chicken did not taste fresh at all. I will never eat at this location again

They have that poster on the window by the door about their daily specials for 8 something but that was over almost a year now! False advertising. Could you imagine if superstore, sobeys and walmart have done that.

Normally thai express is good quick food. However the staff of this place is the worst. You have a 75 percent chance of getting the wrong order, the portions are worst then other places and the vegetables taste far from fresh. To be the cherry on the icing of the cake the staff like to wear the masks on their neck instead of face. I will not comeback

The food and service are amazing. I go there practically every week. I love the food. The manager Eireen is so nice and sweet as well, she remembers me and treats me well all the time.

I dont know much about thai food but it was too oily and the meat was tasting a bit of ash.

I get the same order at Thai Express often, usually from different locations. This time when I got home my food was super dry, no sauce and the noodle were soggy. Very disappointed.

Ordered chicken pad Thai, not spicy. However, got super spicy chicken pad Thai. This location needs to get their orders right.

Got what I ordered, really prompt and tastes just as good as the other restaurants. No complaints! Will come back :)

I had spicy Thai soup on Wednesday special. The soup was so spicy that I couldnt even finish half of it...I normally like spicy food, but this is way too hot...not sure why they made it this way even though I requested it to be moderate spicy. Piece of advice.. Tip!

The Pad Thai is delicious

Literally not eatable. Spent $17 on a tofu green curry that was plain, dry rice and completely uncooked pieces of onion. No sauce, soggy eggplant and cold. This is my first time ordering from here and I will never do it again. Disgusting, flavorless and completely uncooked.

Fast and polite service always. The price may seem high for their pad thai but I usually have left overs for a snack later. Theres seating if youd like to stay and great take out containers if you have to go. One of my favourite fast food spots in the city.

Very unimpressed with this location Poor seating choices.... Feels like everyones crammed in. Very crowded at lunch hour without a distinct place to line up. I tried going at lunch hour twice before returning around 2pm and successfully getting in. Food that was served wasnt great. Rice was cold, hard, and lumpy. Dish was heavy on the cheap veggies (lots of carrots and onions, barely any peppers) and light on the meat. Was very unimpressed. Ive eaten at the Halifax Shopping Centre and Mic Mac Mall locations countless times and have always been very impressed. This location is disappointing.

If I could give 0 star, I would. I am a regular customer at Thai Express, for some reason in this location, they serve the least, tiniest amount of food. I dont know what is going on in the back, but they need to check whoever is in charge of that. You would think they put a lot of servings because we are paying for it. Looks to me like they dont want their customers to come back by serving ridiculously little amount. Avoid this place at all cost. Other Thai Express locations are excellent. Spring Garden outlet is by far the worst. Avoid if you can.
