Hi Apllada , I dont know much about this restaurant as ive only eaten the food twice. Both were very good (my opinion) The first time i had some of my sons order which was Pizza Boat it was pretty darn good BUT my fav now after only 2 orders is the Chicken Skepasti wow what a sandwich with all the fixings i love If i have it my way and my son goes out to pick up i would like this sandwich once a week. It is the best pita ive ever tasted. Ive never been to the restaurant to rate the atmosphere but regardless the stars are earned .

Ordered various greek dishes and each one was more delicious than the last. Highly recommend. Very, very long wait for delivery, but it was worth it.

We had an absolutely lovely dinner here! The atmosphere is cozy, and the food is so delicious - beautifully cooked, fresh, very authentic. Its clear that the owner has a vision and is personally involved in making it a reality :) We definitely over-ordered between the share plates and entrees, but everything was delicious the next day too. We went to Apllada with our son, who is attending McMaster University, when we came for a visit. He highly recommended Apllada and after our dinner there, we highly recommend it too! The food was fresh and delicious. The waitress was super nice and accommodating, especially with allergies.We really enjoyed everything about Apllada. Fantastic small restaurant. Happened to accidentally find this place after a mishap with a reservation made at another place. We were very glad ultimately about the mishap. The server/owner was so warm and hospitable. The food was top notch! Recommend this place 100%..

My brothers and I took our grandmother here a couple months ago and loved it. The atmosphere was cozy and interesting, the food was delicious and the husband and wife who served and cooked our meals were wonderful. Incredibly nice, talkative and pleasant. 100% coming back the next chance I get.

My friend and I came for dinner and were so impressed with the intimate atmosphere, delicious drinks, fresh food, and helpful service. Our meals were delicious and freshly-made... we could tell they were prepared with care. While we arent vegan, all dishes can be prepared vegan which is really great. Fully recommended a visit!!

Agree with the others here, this is by far the best and most authentic Greek in Hamilton. It s consistently delicious, great portions, and reasonable prices. You can t go wrong with any salad or the chicken pita.

Apllada hosted a birthday party for our Aunt, we were able to rent the entire restaurant, the staff and owners were amazing and went above and beyond in every way to make the birthday party so great. Food was phenomenal! Would highly recommend, thank you again for a great evening!

Tried this place for the first time today, and so happy to have found an amazing authentic Greek restaurant in Hamilton! Got the souvlaki pita and they must make the pita in house it was so good. Very full of chicken / toppings and the tzatziki was so delicious. Will be back to dine in! 10/10

This place has the BEST Greek food in the city - no contest. I love Greek food and was blown away by the authentic flavours and freshness. The service is also friendly and the space is charming. We had tzatziki and the spicy feta dip which were outstanding. The pita bread was very fresh and perfect with the dips. We also had the ceviche (very good) and chicken souvlaki which was tender and delicious. I had the Greek beef meatballs which were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The mousaka that my son ordered was the best mousaka I ve ever had. We will be back for sure. We were too full for dessert but will get it next time .the portions are very generous. I highly recommend this restaurant - it s a real gem.

wonderful unobtrusive Greece restaurant. everyone chooses. the preparation took 30 minutes, but the owner said that they prepare everything fresh. the lady who served us was great. she advised us on the selection and recommended. the food was amazing. Ive probably never had better fries in my life. price normal. The only thing I would complain about is the air. I definitely recommend visiting. good atmosphere.

Our favourite neighborhood restaurant. Whether we order for pickup or eat in the service is friendly and the food delicious every time. I definitely recommend eating in, the restaurant is cheery, clean and comfortable. Theres a euro feel to everything that is very romantic and it feels like you are being invited for dinner by the family. At this point we have tried most of the menu, one of my favourites for takeout is the skepasti, and for eating in start off with the ceviche and then the Greek lasagna is to die for, with the house wine. Theres no wrong choices, everything is fantastic. Previous review: Exciting to have a family owned restaurant back in our neighbourhood. Last one I remember was Zum Litzer by Sanford. The food has a satisfying depth of flavour, the recipes are a blend of traditional Greek cuisine and some lighter french influences which pair well together. We ordered the beef and pork souvlaki ($5 a skewer which is very reasonable). The portion was large, the meat was lean, well seasoned and very moist. It also came with some slices of baguette accompanying each portion. Based on another review we ordered the dolmades which are grape leaves stuffed with rice and this was served with a yogurt lemon sauce. They were very small, but tasted delicious and we will be trying them again. We finished with the horiatiki salad which was a medley of tomatoes, olives, feta, cucumber, onions, capers, and a tangy olive oil dressing. Both of us found it was very strong, we may not try it again but it did go well with the other dishes. I have a spice intolerance and found that the only thing that affected me was the chili pepper topping on the baguette pieces that accompanied each dish but the dolmades. As we did pickup I didnt get pictures of the inside, but it is cozy, sunny and very clean with a blend of Greek and classical design elements. There were cheery daffodils on the tables, a beautiful wooden bar and check out counter, happy plants cleaning the air and the smell was like walking into a European womans kitchen when she is cooking for her family.

I usually never leave reviews but this place Deffenetly deserves it, just found them today and Deffenetly the best place in hamilton for well priced authentic delicious and nostalgic smelling food , great atmosphere great people. definitely recommend giving it a try. Thankyou for what you do !

A hidden gem. Had Moussaka and tried a few different apps with friends. Everything was really delicious and cooked just right. Sangria to drink was quite nice too. Generous portions but I managed to have a beigniet for dessert and it was satisfying without being too sweet.

Absolutely love this place! I just found it a few months ago and is the best and most authentic Greek food I have had! I recently tried their Strawberry Greek Mojito which was recommended by the staff, and it was absolutely delicious. The food is excellent and I love the atmosphere, its like having a slice of Greece right in the heart of our town, making every visit feel like a mini getaway to the Mediterranean. The owner and the staff provide amazing service and are always friendly and make you feel right at home! I would recommend this place to anyone who its looking for a delicious, authentic Greek meal! Cant wait to go back!

I placed an order for this restaurant on Uber Eats which is something I rarely use but couldn t go get my food for pick up at the time. As I m waiting for my order to arrive I notice the price keeps increasing? So I view my new receipt and see the restaurant has added on fees to my order and it s only labeled as an adjustment fee . I call the restaurant to ask why they would increase my total without my consent and they said I had added on some extra items to one of the dishes that cost extra however the Uber app had glitched and told me they were free/included. When I ordered this specific dish it prompted me to select two items from a list, some of which had prices next to them, some of which were free. I selected two free items. I told them if they cost extra money I no longer want them to which the girl on the phone said she can remove them from my order but I would have to speak to Uber for a refund. So I asked how can you increase my total without my consent but be unable to remove the extra fees you ve added? Then she said well it s only an extra $5 or so what s the big deal? The big deal is that s not what I agreed to pay when I placed this order and you re charging me fees I didn t agree to which with taxes brought my total to $10 more than what I agreed to pay. The girl became flustered and passed the phone to the owner who was incredibly rude and unhelpful, acting as if the app and her restaurant s error was my fault, stating the fact her employees added on extra fees to my receipt and that her prices are inaccurate represented on the app wasn t her issue and it was the third party apps problem. I then said I d just cancel the order to which she replied ok go do that and hung up on me then they cancelled my order before I could. Food looks tasty but after this I will never be a customer.

The server Mica was very nice, the food was very tasty and made with love, you feel you are spending you money in the right place.

Loved the food as they used quality ingredients. The lamb slow cook was perfect with middle being pink and souvlaki was well done side. Truffle frites and Horiatiki salad are highly recommended!

This is truly a great restaurant. Right up front, service was very good. We were seated promptly, made comfortable, and given menus. All the food we ordered was delicious: moussaka, green salad, and a pork sandwich. Portions were generous and the prices reasonable. We have been here several times and the food has always been excellent.

The food is absolutely phenomenal. The first time I tried it, I was blown away with how good it was. Since then, Ive tried to go once a month. The quality of the ingredients and the flavours are perfection. Staff are always lovely and very friendly. They make you feel like youre stepping into Yayas kitchen.

I ordered take out here last week for a group of friends and we all really enjoyed it. I was impressed with the number of vegetarian/vegan options available. Typically these options are pretty limited at Greek restaurants. The Revithada (chick pea stew) was really good, even better the next day. Their breads were also very fresh. The tzatziki and tirokafteri tasted authentic. Their marinated olives were really nice as well. I cant speak to any of the meat options because we didnt have any. I didnt love the smashed potatoes but that was a personal preference. They use a high quality feta which I appreciate. I admit I have a bit of a bias because I grew up eating Greek food, but in the event my dad isnt cooking for me, I would come back here for sure!

Tried Apllada last evening 5 Stars for sure BEST GREEK FOOD EVER!!! Fresh, authentic, homemade, flavourful and a dining experience! The restaurant was cozy and welcoming. We just ordered from Uber and I was so excited to try the Mousakka as it was my very favourite dish I tried in Greece. The mousakkas bechamel was nice but the meat lacked seasoning or flavour and the composition wasn t what I was expecting. I am not a fan of the fries at the bottom or in the pita as they just get soggy. The portion was huge though and it came with a very nice salad. The thing that was most disappointing was that they packed the mousakka on-top the salad warming it up and having the cheese melt. The lamb in the pita was very fatty. There was pieces in there he couldn t chew. So he couldn t eat his meal at all and had the doughnuts for dinner which he said were very good at least.

What an incredible meal made with caring hands. My family and I enjoyed ourselves there this past Saturday. Wonderful atmosphere. Excellent staff. Food so tasty and filling. Thanks so much to everyone there for a great time.

First visit at Apllada was a very memorable one. Not only was our waiter Simon was amazing and a gracious host but the food was mouth watering and the portions are very generous. This is an incredible greek dining experience. I highly recommend that you visit this charming restaurant on King st. With the amazing food it s sure to be a hot spot. I ve now had my second taste of greek fusion. Equally as delicious as the first and the portions were very generous. Lovethe Apllada.

What a hidden gem this place is. My partner and I were looking for a delicious Greek place in Hamilton and went based on the positive reviews and we were not disappointed! The small restaurant is cozy and the staff and owner are delightful. The food is so flavourful, full of soul, it felt like we were having dinner at a Greek Mumma s house. We finished our dinner off with a Greek coffee and was one of the best coffees we d had in a long time. We will definitely be back.

I am an independent restaurant supporter and I cannot emphasize the high quality of the food, service, as well as the very generous servings at Apllada. Not only was everything I received incredibly flavorful, but the portions were above what you would get in a chain restaurant. I find that many times a lot of places I go out to eat lose quality in their food, but when you come to places like this, theres an extra little bit of TLC. You can tell that the food was cooked with love. I highly highly recommend this restaurant as the staff made my experience very memorable. The food speaks for itself. I look forward to coming back again soon. My recommendation is the Spetsofai if you like spicy sausage. This dish packs in so much flavour. This place has only been around for a year so people who are foodies like me, start spreading the word!! Vegetarian options: They do have some vegan options so make sure to ask your server Dietary restrictions: Street parking can be a real pain, but the food makes it worthwhile.

In my honest opinion, Apllada is the best restaurant in Hamilton! A quaint little restaurant off King Street with a great vibe, amazing staff, and food that is absolutely out of this world. You need to try Apllada!!!

Awesome food! Delicious and well prepared. They handled my substitution without issue (frys dont belong in sandwiches imho). We had souvlaki (lamb and chicken), Horiatiki and Spanakopita. The portions were generous and the prices very reasonable. The leftover salad and pie were just as tasty for lunch the next day. Its a small place with a few tables (most for 2) and a comfortable bistro vibe, perfect for date night. It is in a bit of a sketchy block, so lock the car and dont leave valuables in plain site. I only gave four stars because one of my lamb souvlaki pieces was cartilage and bone and inedible. Mistakes happen, but it was a bummer because it was so tasty and you only get so many in the sandwich. Hopefully I can bump that up with my next visit. Still highly recommended!

What a gem of a restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious! Had the moussaka and a large Greek salad. Moussaka came on a bed of fries..different and very fresh. Greek salad was the best Greek salad I ever had. Highly recommended!

If you want to eat safe food stay away. Theres a huge rat in the back named Christina. She fired me unjustly and is currently trying to lie about the time worked there to avoid paying severance. So Im blowing the whistle. Ive seen her handling raw produce, spices, and unprepared foods immediately after handling raw chicken and without washing her hands. She frequently ignores proper food Storage rules (keeping raw meat on the same shelf as prepared items). Many of the home made items on the menu are bought. Tomato sauce? Directly out of a jar. Dolmades? Canned. Oh and both if the owners SMOKE CIGARETTES EVERYWHERE in the restaurant, from the dining room to the kitchen

Family restaurant, great food, great service, cozy

My husband and I popped in here for dinner. We werent sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. Its a nice, quiet space with fantastic service. We tried 3 dishes wed never heard of before and were blown away. We are not Greek, but I feel confident in saying that this was very well done, traditional greek food. The owner came out and chatted with us for a bit about the food, which was very nice. They have wine, beer and soon to be cocktails. The dishes we shared were tirokafteri (the most amazing hot pepper dip I have ever tried, served with pita). The shrimp saganaki (fantastic!!!) and the chicken skepasti, which is essentially a greek pita made into a hot sandwich. It was honestly to die for. Were so happy we found this little gem!

I ordered takeout chicken pita and baklava. Both were excellent. Baklava was like a meal unto itself. I didn t sit down but the atmosphere was great in the dining room. Be a great date-night spot.

We discovered this hidden gem when we were in the city, and we decided to look for a nice greek restaurant through Google reviews. The food was really tasty. The portions were big compared to price. The staff was friendly. The place was cozy but not for big groups. This is definitely not our last time. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I m very happy that Apllada arrived in the neighbourhood. I used to live in Greektown in Toronto, and was underwhelmed by the other Greek options in Hamilton, until I tried Apllada. The souvlaki, potatoes and garlic bread are my go-to order. The freshness of the food and ingredients is very apparent with every bite. I highly recommend Apllada.

Everyone needs to try this place. It is absolutely amazing. The flavours of the dishes are amazing. My partner and I tried 3 dishes and everyone one of them we were pleasantly surprised with how amazing everything was.

Honestly, a total hidden gem in downtown Hamilton. We chose this place on a whim, and did not regret it. The service to start was spectacular. We couldn t be seated right away, so we wondered a few doors down to a bar for a drink while we waited. The owner actually searched for us outside as the table came up a bit earlier than expected. The atmosphere is perfect for couples, or friends. Dark, but modern. The menu is big, and we need to go back so we can continue to eat our way through it. The food was amazing, tasty, and everything is made from scratch (as far as we were told). The drink selection is large, and has an option for every pallet. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this diamond in the rough.

Fantastic experience and very reasonably priced. It was quite evident upon my first bite that there was a lot of care given to the menu. Everything was clearly made in house and their choice of ingredients were fantastic. Textures were lovely, the meats were juicy, the vegetables had a bite, and flavours were delicious. The little dolmades are nestled in this incredible lemony yogurt sauce and I could eat so many of them, the cheese phyllo pie (Tiropita) is a delight - crispy and cheesy and yes, the pork skewers are SO juicy and flavourful, and everything else was just so great - bread, pita, tzatziki... I immediately wanted to make a review because I was just too impressed, everything exceeded my expectation. I would STRONGLY recommend giving them a try if you like any of these things!

Grabbed some take out on Saturday. Everything was delicious! It is easily to tell these are family recipes. Beautiful restaurant too. Can t wait to eat inside. We will definitely be regulars.

Good is amazing

Tried Apllada for the first time tonight. We sampled almost everything on the menu and loved every dish. The smashed potatoes, marousalata salad, and the French beignets were some of the highlights. Happy to have authentic Greek fusion in the neighbourhood.

Couldnt be happier with the food. Huge portions, great value and above all, great flavours.

Kind people, great atmosphere. Try dipping your pita bread in the yogurt that comes with the dolmades.

Had a great experience dining in at Apllada. It s a family run spot and you can tell the owners take pride in their food and service - our server was very attentive and everything was incredibly fresh and flavourful. So many great fusion items to try, and generous portions too! If you like something really spicy make sure to get the ceviche, and the pastitso was a hit as well. Looking forward to visiting again.

Finally authentic Greek food in hamilton. Seriously delicious, homemade, fresh and the staff are perfect. Quite small inside I would recommend calling ahead if u have a larger group of people. I will be back for sure!! Opa!

Beautiful restaurant, felt really clean and decorated with authentic decor. We ordered the pork & chicken souvlaki, Greek salad, smashed potatoes, and iced frappes. The Greek salad was delicious, especially loved the addition of capers and fresh baguette. The pork souvlaki was the favourite but both were really well seasoned and tasty. We had the French beignets to go and enjoyed them thoroughly! We ll be returning for sure!

Great atmosphere! Extremely friendly & helpful cashier / server. Owners are very friendly and their aim to deliver food with nothing but natural and high quality ingredients is right up my alley. I went on a Saturday afternoon, it was empty but spent my time relaxed in the little hole in the wall. I had the Greek latte, Greek fries and chicken pita, excited to try some more!

I was very excited to see a new food option come to my neighbourhood in a part of town where there is not much to eat within walking distance. I was pleased when I saw that my entrée came with a traditional Greek salad which I became so entranced by that I forgot about my entrée. I ordered the Pastitsio which I ve never had. While it was good it was just a little bit underseasoned. Overall, the flavours are simplistic yet delicious. I highly recommend this place. I m looking forward to trying more of their menu.

Been there twice to dine in and had fantastic experiences both times. The food is top notch and you can tell the owners are passionate about serving delicious, authentic Greek cuisine. Really happy to find this gem in my neighborhood in an area otherwise lacking in high quality food.

Delicious food! Meat was tender, a lot of the food, dips and dressings all house made. Owner and staff very informative, checking in on our table and answered any questions we had. Only been opened a short time, wishing them well.

Wow! We were thrilled when this family-run restaurant opened two blocks from our home! And we were not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious. The service was very kind and attentive. The restaurant is small and tastefully decorated, exactly as it should be! We highly recommend it and we are looking forward to going again!

I ordered Lamb fricassée from uber eat and I received chicken. They should have cancelled my order instead of giving me chicken. This is my first time ordering at this store and would be my last. The price I pay is for Lamb fricassée much pricey than that chicken I received.

First time customer- preordered a day ahead by popping in and was given some suggestions for our fathers day spread for 12 people. When I arrived today food was waiting and ready at the exact time we picked and the waiter helped me carry it to the car. Very lovely note of thanks on the bag too. I wish I had taken pictures because the food was beautifully presented AND delicious! We tried it all- pork and chicken souvlaki, lamb fricassé, stuffed peppers, smashed potatoes, greek fries, watermelon salad, greek salad, baguettes, baklava. It was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend and we will be back!!!!

Simply incredible. Beautiful spot, friendly hosts, talented chefs, creative menu. Horiatiki salad could be a meal on its own (the definitive authentic Greek salad with all the flavours of summer). Biftekia were savoury and perfect, and the revithada (a hearty chickpea dish, more substantial than a soup) is a rare find in restaurants. Simple but flavourful desserts - the decidedly not Greek beignets were mind-blowing. Greek coffee and mountain tea round out a truly wonderful dining experience. I plan on making myself a regular here - do not miss out on one of Hamiltons newest and most impressive gems!!

The food was unbelievably fresh and delicious. The pitas are freshly made as you order. Waiter was very kind and helpful. Would recommend coming here to anyone who loves fresh authentic Greek cuisine.

Lovely little place. The food was great. My wife and I had several shareables and appetizers to share. The food was fresh, flavourful and all clearly homemade. The staff were the best bit though. Our server Jane was so nice and courteous. Attentive and friendly and a pleasure to talk to. The owner came over and chatted with us too. Very friendly and passionate about what he does. We will return!

Tried this place a little over a month ago and it is absolutely amazing. What a hidden gem!! Our new favorite; my children love it, too. I had the souvlaki dinner and tzatziki. The meat was tender, juicy and flavourful. Everything was delicious. Will be ordering from here again.

Everything was really good (two chicken pitas, watermelon salad, Greek fries, and binettes), but honestly the fries were surprisingly good.

Saved our marriage. It was fantastic! Cant wait to order everything, eventually. I just ended the most miserable monthly blood cycle [as usual] & didnt want to cook. The food is well seasoned and plentiful. Owner is very hospitable. Serve staff is delightful. Wonderful dining experience! Vegetarian options: There are bean dishes on menu as well as assorted salad options. Parking: Metered parking on both sides of street. There are a number of side streets that may provide a parking option.

Amazing food and an amazing team working there. Love the idea of Greek fusion, i. e. a fresh baked French baguette with your food in greek style. We bumped into this place by accident and left as friends.

So great such a great location I loved the food, and it had such a nice vibe to it. Many shops around aswell which makes it optimal while just strolling around. There wasnt too long of a wait at all, Id say its a little overpriced but its worth it for the quality food.

Amazing restaurant! The owners, Christina and Savus were so incredibly friendly and nice and we felt so at home there! The food is to die for and we can t say enough about it, you will have to try for yourself! Yummy ! We definitely will be back but I am already trying to decide what to try next time! Soooo good!
