Masala Corner Hamilton-Authentic Indian cuisine in Hamilton

The only authentic place I go every week in Hamilton for the past 5 + years. Food is great. Variety is great. Level of spice is good for mild. The naan bread is baked onsite and all meals made from scratch. The owner is from India and has perfected his recipes. Would recommend anyone to try it. And very affordable, a full thali ( plate ) for less than $20! Enjoy yummy Indian tasty meals. Ravi

Amazing place to dine in

Food is pretty good and fresh. I ordered on Uber eats, and the drinks werent there so I called Uber driver who said they never got another bag of drinks. I called the store and spoke with a man, he was very confused and asked my order # then said he put them in the bag? Which didnt make sense to put hot and cold food together. He told me the Uber driver most likely stole them and that they do that all the time. Why use a service that will potentially make you lose customers? Anyways I couldnt get a refund from Uber for this so I lost out on $ and drinks and they did nothing to correct it although I paid for them and live 5 mins away. Not impressed.

They forgot more than half of the food we paid for. I ordered a chicken tikka masala platter that should have come with rice, nan, a samosa, and Dal makhani. Instead they give me a single portion of chicken with nothing else.

The service is always so quick, the people that work there are wonderful. I love how the food is ACTUALLY affordable, tasty and a GOOD QUANTITY. Honestly think this is a hidden gem. The only thing I would change are the cleanliness of the washroom.

Inexpensive, family restaurant. Flavors were rich. Samosas were hearty hot and fresh, and the dipping sauce was tangy and bright. Butter chicken was very rich, hearty and flavorful. Worked equally well on rice or naan. Saag paneer was very well flavored. Worked great with naan. Service was friendly generous and warm even if a bit inefficient - Im perfectly happy to pack leftovers myself, we know youre busy! Vegetarian options: The veg menu was fully featured.

Masala corner is one of the best restaurants in Hamilton. I went there with my friend and we were amazed with how warm and inviting the atmosphere was. The staff there is super attentive and friendly. The chilli momos are a must-try, I can guarantee you won t be able to find better in all of Hamilton. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience, as they will not be disappointed! 6 stars from me.

id give a 6/5 stars if i could. masala corner is my familys favourite spot to eat in hamilton. everything weve tried here is delicious, and the service is always great as well. we usually order the lamb korma lunch combo, which also comes with chana masala, vegetables, rice, gulab jamun, and a giant bowl of naan for under $13 !! the value is so incredibly good i actually cant think of another restaurant at this price point that gives u as a big a portion and as much variety while being so tasty

Great AUTHENIC indian food, I am from out of town, Google, and found this place. After having the food from this place, I can honestly say this is really an authentic place to order.

Great place to dine in and eat some delicious Indian cuisine. I used to go to high school in westdale and I tell you basically every lunch you would find 3-8 of us just sitting in the old restaurant and enjoying these delicious meals. Not only was it that good but, it was cheap and affordable. Nowadays I can t quote the pricing but I highly recommend. If you re new to Indian cuisine, try the butter chicken on rice with naan bread. You won t regret it Parking: Lots of spots and places to park. Literally has 2 parking lots on each side of the restaurant.

Best dal makhni, karahi paneer, samosas and thali.

Had the butter chicken with rice walk-in special for $10.50. While ordering, I was asked if I wanted naan without being told how much extra it would be and I got it, assuming it came with the meal but it was $2.50 extra. The naan and butter chicken were both excellent in taste and quality, however the portion of butter chicken was disappointing. The place is clean and tables were all set when I arrived, it was quiet at lunch on a Thursday.

Their dishes always have the perfect amount of spice. Staff is very friendly and patient. They maintain the area spotless.

Very nice new location and great food. The dishes are not always consistent with taste but they are always worth it as even when they are not their best it is always great for the cost. Kicked me out after ordering a lassi

This is the best Indian food we ve ever tasted! We tried the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala and both were incredible. We will definitely be back!

This establishment offers an exceptional array of authentic Nepali/Indian cuisine, representing an unparalleled culinary experience within the city, particularly considering its affordability. Portion sizes are generous, and the food is not excessively oily or greasy, tasting homemade. Although the operating hours may pose some inconvenience, and there might be a slight 20-30 minute wait for food, the consistently fresh and delectable nature of the meal justifies the minor inconveniences. Personally, I find the lunch/dinner specials to be the best of value for price. This restaurant has become my preferred destination for introducing friends to Nepali/South Asian cooking. My boyfriend and I frequently find ourselves craving Masala Corner.

Ordered the vindaloo and coconut curry. The vindaloo was very good, had the perfect level of spice with very tender chicken. Coconut curry was okay, didn t have any coconut taste to it just garnished with coconut shavings on the lamb. The garlic naan was very good, not too much oil and very fresh tasting.

This is a great place near McMaster for eating in. They have some deals for decent prices that will appeal to university students or those on a budget. I got the butter chicken, which was delicious in flavor. My only complaint is the portion size, which IMO, is lacking, but probably comparable to the competition. Despite some miscommunication regarding our tables order, service was quick and accommodating. The restaurants ambience is very light and airy, if youre into that. It was far too bright for my taste, with harsh 5000k+ temperature lighting. I would suggest turning down the lights or getting some ~3000k light fixtures to offset the cool color temperature. Parking: Parking is ample, right next to the entrance

Just the wastage of money. In samosa chana you will only get green sauce with Chana and Samosa nothing else. I will never ever recommend anyone to order form here.

In Hamilton, compared to others restaurants I found very much reasonable price with large quantity of food portions.I recommend people do visit and try their thali set( Lunch/Dinner) Combo, Tandoori chicken items and non veg curries. Besides it has huge parking spot. Large dining room It follows dietary requirements. Place is clean and hygience, it is nuts and gluten free. I loved to come again and again.

This is one of the best place for Indian food in Hamilton. The owner is very friendly. He takes some time for sure but he makes the best food out there.

If you want to have food like home you should definately visit this place. The menu includes a wide variety of dishes including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. My go to is chana masala. I have tried almost everything(veg) the cofta is also a great option. The prices were quite reasonable and overall I had a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend Masala Corner anyone looking for a good Indian food experience.

Have only ordered takeout but really love this place. One question I have is what is the cilantro sauce called and what does it come with? Our last two orders didnt come with the cilantro dipping sauce and I dont know what it is called to ensure it comes with our order next time (its my favourite!)

Also tried the fish saagwala which I found to be creamier than other restaurants and slightly bitter. The food remains 4 stars but the service at the new location was VERY VERY slow despite the restaurant being empty when I went. The new location has lots of seats for dining in now. Long wait for the food because there is only one chef but honestly, the food is absolutely delicious. Favourites are the Somsa chaat and the butter chicken with naan. (chicken itself is a little dry but the gravy is rich, slightly tangy and sweet). The mago lassi is also delicious

We ordered chicken karahi and butter chicken. It s the same chicken in two different curry. Even it looks the same. The butter chicken was sweet and the karahi was mild spicy. The chicken was extremely dry from inside and it has a very bad smell. It seems like they preserve the meat cooked or uncooked for a very long time. It was not fresh at all. I will never go there again.

It was a terrible experience and I had stomach issues the next day. The chicken in the biryani was stale and it smelled horrible. Would never again order from here.

Worst samosa chat i ever had! Literally they just crushed a samosa and added lots n lots of yogurt..I ordered paneer makhani and naans as well but they took an hour whereas they made 4 orders for the peoples who came after..felt disrespectful! Bad food, bad service!

I have food from here more than once.Mostly its good and delicious.But one time i ordered samosa with chickpeas ,it was not at all good.Curd was had a bad taste and also the chutney.So i guess don t order that.Otherwise i guess food is cheap and delicious.

Good Indian food! A bit on the mild side but still delicious - love the aloo gobi. Nicely sized portions- enough for 2 servings in most! They also have a good walk-in special of butter chicken and rice (and naan I believe) for $10 which is a good deal. FYI - this place gets BUSY during dinner time, especially on weekends. There might be a bit of a wait, but you can make sure to just order a bit earlier than you normally would. Overall good quality and quantity for the price! Ordered Papri chat, butter chicken & naan. The papri chat was ok, naan was very good but the butter chicken was very smelly and non consumable. told the owner he denied and said the food is ok. so I had to leave the place with out eating thay smelly item. I think if this kind of things happen people will not come to this place.

Delicious food

The cook was very friendly. We ordered butter chicken and vindaloo. Also ordered Biryani rice with chicken. The food was hot, the sauces were pretty good. There was very little chicken in the dishes and a few potatoes in both dishes which was disappointing. Way better the next day. Naan was great.

The food here is great. My only suggestion is if they tell you to be there in 45 minutes show up in 60. That way you ll only have to wait an extra 15 minutes when you arrive.
