This is a rustic Hometown italian restaurant not fancy but fantastic pizza.. It is very small in abasement but very cozy.. The servers and the owner are very friendly... You cant get a better pizza in hamilton at this price

Great pizza, pasta and wings. I wish they still had their cannellonis in their menu since they were so good.

The food was great, and yes, I needed to take some home as I could not finish it all. A small hole in the wall that could easily be missed, but it should not be. I had the lasagna, and it was delicious. Parking: The decor may not be great, but the food makes up for it. Dont let that stop you from trying out this place.

Cant speak on their pizza but ubereats order. Legitimately the blandest italian ive had in my life. Sauce to pasta ratio on dry. Tried four different pastas - they all felt lacking, needed to season heavily. ive never expected to be disappointed by such simple dishes. Ill just get some frozen alfredo or cook at home next time ig jesus christ

Some of the most low effort penne with meatballs Ive ever seen. Like someone cooked some noodles, and just dumped a can of sauce on top. Decent portion, price wasnt too bad, but its the sort of pasta Id do at home when I dont want to do real cooking. A lazy meal. Tasted better than it looked at least.

Ordered take out from here for the first time, and I regret not doing it sooner. I had the pizza Bianca and it was amazing. From the first bite I was sold, the freshness of the ingredients and the soft but crispy crust was the best.

I had Calamari special. It was fabulous. The restaurant was a busy at dinner time. Yet our server was friendly and efficient. The two others in our party had the lasagna special. The both thought it was excellent. The prices are very reasonable.

My man and i spent $50 on Alfredo & Penne pasta side salad and bread. Alfredo just came with noodles and sauce. Penne i got spicy sausage and had to pay a up charge for meatballs. Sausage came as whole had to slice myself. Bread was cut thicker than ever. Salad was probably the best part of the meal. My man can make a better dish with more toppings and less money spent.

What the heck happened to this place? The pizza is inedible. So salty! The pizza Bianca was a disaster and why is this breaded chicken bits on a pizza? Very Italian . It should at least advertise its chicken nuggets or breaded chicken. The dough was bland and not properly cooked. It s bad, and so salty we couldn t go through it. It s better off to go ordering pizza pizza instead at this point. New management? Not sure, but these pizza were appalling. After reading few recent reviews it s concerning and perhaps, try at your own peril because I ve seen no improvement. Experienced exactly what others described. Unfortunately, I went in with confidence as had good memory impression from their pizza and pasta from times before.

I love this little place that is often overlooked or driven past. It serves large portions at an affordable price. The food is classic Italian and is soo good / classic. I love that they give you fresh bread slices with take out. The service is always so friendly.

Ordered spaghetti bolognese through UberEats as I had heard for years this place is top notch. I was so disappointed. Barely any sauce. It was so dry like the Sahara desert. I would never present to someone a dish like this without being thoroughly embarrassed. Such a waste of money and Uber said they couldn t issue a refund at this time

Im sorry but I do not consider the food here to be true Italian food. This is not where you come if you want to go to italian. If you want quantity then yes this is the place its more quantity over quality. Cute little place but extremely casual

An overall great place for classic, simple Italian comfort food w a casual environment. They re not fancy and have a very basic menu, but their tomato sauce and meatballs, either on a bun or with pasta, are my absolute favourite in Hamilton. Portions are huge and lunch specials are appreciated. I only wish they had an espresso machine! I have team lunches here and frequent Bronzies w friends really any chance I get! There is nothing pretentious about this place think Cheers crossed w your favourite local Italian take-out joint. It has a certain charm about it that makes dining in comfortable.

New review: I brought my brother this time and enjoyed my visit yet again! He ordered the veal parm and I got the spaghetti alfredo. I also ordered us the garlic bread with cheese as an appetizer. I wish they had their own parking but its only paid street parking available. For a small mom and pop style resturant its great! Very casual as far as dress code. The pictures attached are from my recent visit. Old review: Food was good and large portions! They got cold beer on tap and tequila shots I really enjoyed it just wish they were open longer! Parking: Because its located near Saint Josephs hospital its only paid street parking or expensive parking lots available I really wish they had their own parking lot

The waitress was very friendly while I was taking my seat. I ordered takeout & decided on either veal or chicken parmajan (surprise me) & enjoyed a nice cold draft beer while waiting. lol been a while since I had a draft... When I arrived home, it was still pretty hot & the veal (thank you ) was big & yummy! My son & I split it. Its enough for 2 if you add 2 proper size salads to go with it. Their house dressing was good, just not enough in takeout containers, ask for 2. Plus, get more sauce, ask them for a side of it so it doesnt make your meat soggy. Our sauce was in one area, which made the breading soaked. I just scrapped it off 1st. Lol. Then we needed more sauce... hahahaha So, yeah, Id recommend Bronzies to others & Ill go back there next time Im by there to try something else. Maybe pizza next time... I was sitting at my table, enjoying my draft, when some man came & sat with me. Not a word until I spoke. Lol... I am a regular.

Bronzie s is a Hamilton staple. Simple and delicious - they don t try and do too much, and stick with what they re great at which is Italian food. You won t find anything on that menu that you won t love. Highly recommended.

Ordered take out as a first time customer today. They forgot the meatballs. Also ordered the spaghetti Alfredo- it has no sauce on it highly disappointed zero flavour and dry noodles not even fettuccine which is sad. The garlic bread was at least a good flavour so i will give a star for that. I believe in second chances but we will eat in to see of that makes a difference. This was sadly not a good first impression.

Incredible local landmark. I have been coming here since I was a kid with my parents (nearly 40 years ago). After a long abense I returned to Bronzies with my own family and am happy to write that this Hamilton landmark still offers great food at very reasonable rates. Looking for a fun night out with the family that will not break the bank? Bronzies is the ticket. Whether you order the veal parmigiano, chicken parmigiano, pizza or chicken wings you will not be disappointed. Have children? No problem Bronzies offers a childrens menu at reasonable prices. Reminds me of my italian grandmother. The meatballs taste authentically italian american. The portions are big, definitely able to split a large pizza among 2-4.

The environment is cozy, staff are always super friendly and kind, the food is amazing and the servings are huge for the price being paid, super affordable. Food was pretty good. Service was good too. It was just very loud from all the men at the bar. I guess no one cares that people want to enjoy their food in peace....

This place has the best meatball sub I have ever tried. The bread holds up amazingly well with the sauce and I live 20 minutes away and it was still steaming hot when I got it home

I have been going to this place since I was a kid (in the 90s) because its a long standing family favourite. I almost always get gnocchi with red sauce and meatballs because its absolutely amazing! The sauce/meatballs have the slow cooked flavour of homemade. They also make a veal parmesan that will bring a tear to a glass eye its so good. Definitely worth it if you want a treat! Their food would pass the test of any Nonna! The service is always fast and incredibly friendly. Its family owned and no matter who you are youre welcome to enjoy some great food, cold beer, and a cozy atmosphere. This is definitely a Hamilton gem and if you havent tried it yet you definitely should!

Ive just moved to Hamilton a few weeks ago and have all my friends recommending this place to me and now having been I can see why, the food and staff are excellent and the atmosphere of this place is great! Wheelchair accessibility: This location is located down a set of stairs and does not have a ramp making it inaccessible.

This is a cozy little place that serves the best Italian food I have tasted in Hamilton. I had the cheese ravioli and the serving was generous. Also really liked the sangria. Looking forward to returning some time soon.

Fast service and great food

Pizza was hot and baked well but nothing special. A measly 3 outdated draft beer choices is the worst Ive ever encountered. Absolutely no effort there. The service was A1 from the attentive and very personable staff.

During my visit to this restaurant to pick up an Uber Eats order, I faced a shocking moment. Being the only person of color there, a customer made a hurtful and racially insensitive remark about my appearance. What stunned me even more was the complete silence from the restaurant staff in response to this offensive behavior. It was a disappointing and distressing experience to witness such insensitivity and lack of action in a public place

Unfortunately, the best years of this place are behind them. It had some of the best pizza in the city. The last time ordering food, it was bland but over salted, and service was atrocious. When kindly and quietly letting the server know a plate of food was inedible (by all members of a 6 person table), they made a loud issue, denying the possibility. They were rude, unapologetic, and aggressive. The food was brought back to the kitchen where staff threw the plate and swore, easily heard in such a small place. I have never had such bad service in a restaurant, and blatant disregard for being a service. The only saving grace are the years they have under their belt to have a customer base. A shame. Hopefully in the near future they can rectify these issues.

This place is awesome. A staple of Downtown Hamilton, dining here never disappoints. A family owned and staffed establishment, you can feel the warmth and genuine care that flows here. From the food to the drink to the treatment, everything is perfect. If you have not been here, it is a must attended Hamilton eatery and I stop in every chance I get! Thank you Bronzies!!!

Had lasagna yesterday (Jan 4/23) and was as awesome a advertised (7 layer meat lasagna). Very filling and comes with salad and a piece of bread. Had spaghetti and meatballs from this place before which was good as well. Yes this is a tiny little bar/r restaurant in a basement location but Ive always had great food experiences here. Also its really hard to find spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna in downtown Hamilton...

Ordered 2 meatball subs to go today. Best meatball subs in city still! Glad you havent changed. We will be back.

HOW DARE YOU???Spent 165.00 on food and was such an embarrassment when i served it to my family.The meatball sandwiches were so bad! The lasagna was horrible!For the overpriced lasagna,that tiny piece only fed a child.I wont mention what everyone else said about the food!Wings were decent..the only good thing was the chicken pizza.Soooo disappointed and want my hard earned money back for everything except the pizza.I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.SORRY.

You have not eaten a meatball until you have gone to Bronzie s. It brings a whole new meaning to give a man a fish, teach a man to fish. And you know the food is good when all the Nonas eat there.

Ordered our second pizza from here and 1 order of wings on wing night. Pizza was not great. Dough way too thick. Especially in the middle. Little sauce except at crust edge. Pepperoni not cooked, onions not crisp. Wings were good but menu says comes with order of fries, which we did not receive. Ill probably come back and get your wings again and eat in so they arent soggy, but your pizza needs some massive improvements in my opinion.

Small, ridiculously loud, couldnt even hear the person sitting next to me talk. Food was pretty terrible. The salad was 99% lettuce with few bits of cucumber and tomato thrown in. Store bought sliced bread lol. My penne was overcooked to mush. The chicken parmesan was decent at least. Not worth your time or money.

Bronzies was , ok in the beginning , but as I grew to know it , from a background of a business owner and son son of a Service Business Owner , having had his business since 1954 ( Payne Music Hamilton), I was today , very dismayed at the level of understanding and professionalism , from a , so called , ocon of an eatery of which I had heard it to be. Honestly , its nothing more than a cheap , Italian, restaurant, booze hole , with nothing more than grunts and crooked lawyers , and drunken painters who provide the makeup of their regular crowd. Some staff is genuinely nice , but , honestly dont care about anything , but making a buck. Or serving those who are , unfortunate slaves to alcohol. Just my opinion. If you want to join then , go right ahead. I , most certainly, will not !!

Its a classic Italian restaurant, basically an iconic location of Hamilton. A lot of people told me about this restaurant when I started working in Hamilton so I had to bring my family. Parking is the only issue, we parked around the corner, and down the street a bit... but well worth the visit.

Absolutely a fabulous restaurant in Hamilton. If youre looking for a great Italian restaurant then you cant go wrong with Bronzies Place. I usually have gnocchi, its amazing. Its a cozy restaurant that provides a warm reception coupled with fantastic Italian cuisine. Its a must visit if youre looking for dinner options in Hamilton.

Amazing place to take the family, have a business meeting, or just hang out and enjoy a great pizza and some wings with friends. The staff are all friendly, and the kitchen staff always goes above and beyond to make sure the food is exactly what you asked for.

Had take out this week: Julienne salads, chef salad, garlic bread with cheese, chicken wings and lasagna. Everything was delicious with generous portions. I always enjoy the meals at Bronzies!

Had one of their pizzas for delivery. One of the best places for pizza in the city. Good amount of cheese, really good sauce, toppings were good. No complaints at all. Looking forward to trying this place out in person. Really great to see a neighborhood spot that s still going strong.

Service was good considering that she as the only one serving. Food had much to be desired...Pizza was burnt, Lasagna wasnt bad, Gnocchi werent very good. i think they were from one of those packages that you buy at a supermarket where it sits on a shelf. Salad was OK...typical kind you buy that is pre-mixed and you add the bottled dressing to it. Beer was cold, so thats a good thing. Maybe they had an off-day??

Best meatball subs in the city!

Recommended by everyone I know. Finally made a visit and its now probably my favourite Italian restaurant in Hamilton. Its definitely a hidden gem, hole-in-the-wall type of place. The food is through the roof, all made from scratch on the premises. Might be the best pizza in Hamilton as well. Family run place, super friendly, super laid back. Effective and efficient take out as well.

Wow. I ve seen so many great reviews and recommendations for Bronzie s I just had to try this place. I ordered a meatball sub because of the recommendations. I kept it simple, just sauce and cheese. Well let me tell you this sandwich was the best meatball sub I have ever had. It was perfect. It tasted fresh made, the perfect texture and loaded just right with meatballs. It is a great sandwich and filling. And you can t beat the price. Try it, you will not be disappointed. You, like I, will be back for more. Enjoy my friends in Hamilton enjoy. Pretty damn good from such a little place you have probably drove past so many times.

We did takeout from Bronzies last week. Everything was so tasty! The wings were big and full of flavour. Pizza was delicious and cooked perfectly. The fries were those delicious ones that taste good with vinegar. Bruschetta was an added bonus. Highly recommend. Next time we will come dine in!

I have been going to Bronzies fairly regularly for 35 years...I will not be going back soon. The lasagna WAS the best in the city. Recently we had some and could not eat it...we brought it home...and eventually threw it out. Be careful. This was not the lasagna the Italian ladies made. famous. Looks like things have changed.

My favourite gnocchi served family style (amazing portion for the value). Its amazing every single time!

I love their pasta sauce so much. And the meatballs are MamaMia-level-good Pasta was al dente. Staff are super friendly and very considerate. They have decent amount of TVs with different channels, not just sports. The booze isn t expensive either. I will be coming back for sure!

We had read so many amazing reviews so decided to give this place a try! Unfortunately it was far from amazing. I had ordered Alfredo Fettuccine with chicken, I received a pile of undercooked pasta, with what I can only imagine was canned sauce and no chicken.. my bf ordered the chicken parm and it was over sauced, and extremely salty. There was no one else in the restaurant at the time. The service was horrible. Not a place I d try again or recommend

What an awesome little gem. Went here before a show and was shocked at how tasty the food was for such a reasonable price. Even though the caesar salad didnt have bacon in it, it was one of the best Ive had in a very long time. Thanks for a great meal Bronzies

Went to Bronzies for dinner last week, reviews seemed to be good so thought we d try it. Very disappointing to say the least, seems all the red pasta sauce is the same, clam sauce and meatball sauce tasted the same, bland, flavourless, salty, but you did get a ton of pasta. Personally I would not recommend it, living in Vancouver we re spoiled by good Italian restaurants. On a positive note, our server, she was good.

Ceasar salad was excellent! Pizza was amazing!! The crust, the sauce everything about the pizza was great. My only complaint would be paying 16$ for pasta with no veggies or anything in it. My girlfriend and I had dinner at your restaurant last night. She wanted to go to an Italian restaurant as it was her birthday. We got dressed up and the night began. We made reservations for 6.00. We arrived at your restaurant and said we had reservations. We were given a table right in front of the front door as you walk in and frankly I think it was the worst spot we could have been placed. We were after an intimate spot to sit and have a quiet dinner and this seating location wasn t it by a long shot. We made the best of it but we weren t happy by any means. I felt calling late morning to make a reservation was perfect. This restaurant I can see has a great reputation and it s very much like the Cheers bar / restaurant was on Tv. Everyone knows everyone so to speak. Unfortunately we were very disappointed for what we were after. We wanted dim lights and an intimate atmosphere. I was overdressed with a shirt and tie. Everybody that came in for take out was standing mere inches from us and we were greeted by the cold air each and every time. We did not enjoy our dinner. We took a chance on Bronzies place, as we had never been there before and knew nothing about it. We felt making a reservation would provide us with a really nice seating location but I don t think the reservation made any difference. It s a small quaint restaurant and very friendly. It is a trendy location. It just ended up being the wrong choice for us. We walked out very disappointed and that was that.
