I have been to Coop every time I have come to Hamilton. It has been a little while since I ve been, but since the last time, they have stopped making their Cream Corn, which was by far the best I have ever had. Food was good, just sad to not have that menu item anymore Food

Worst service, forgot half our food, most of the food we got was cold, told us they had 200 skip orders to complete which is why it was so slow. Maybe don t accept the orders and assist those in your restaurant first.

Called and booked a group reservation for a hockey team. They shouldnt have accepted the reservation. We arrived at our scheduled time at 12:45, by 2:40 a few of our party still had not received their food. Drinks were missed, kids werent fed, people didnt get to eat. Orders were taken sporadically. The servers were so frazzled (and maybe inexperienced) Had to get the drinks from the bar to the table on our own.

Im a regular here, I have to say I usually have Hayley as my bartender. shes enthusiastic and a wonderful time even if you just stop by for a whole meal or one beer very professional and pleasant

Disgusting, inedible food. Overcooked chicken was rock solid. Its like they took a cooked chicken breast and tried to batter it. The coating was falling off. Their customer service is hot garbage too.

I think new management made this go downhill. 2 of the 3 burgers were topped incorrectly, every single item of food we got was basically cold, our nacho appetizer came incorrectly and also showed up once we were half done our mains I also asked for refills for us 3 and we never got one refill. Our waiter was very nice and I think she had to force the manager to comp the nachos and apologize. I m super unimpressed.

i ve been here many times but last night we had a super weird and unpleasant experience. we chose to sit upstairs and we were greeted, but it took 10 mins for someone to come and do that. as we were ordering, the server said she was going to confirm what we wanted before we place the order. she left but took her 15-20 mins to come back, and she asked us if we decided what we wanted.. even though we had already ordered and mentioned that she said she was going to check on something for us for the order but she said she forgot as it got busy downstairs. anyways, we ended up telling her what we wanted again. at this point, we never waited for food for so long in our lives. we were sitting up there for almost an hour before one of us had to go down there to see if we were forgotten about because we were the only ones eating upstairs. it was 8:40 when we arrived and 9:55 once we got our food. the order was also wrong and we had to ask for the right items once the food did come. could be because of short staffed issue but then again, i ve never waited that long ever and they seemed to only want to tend to the people eating at/around the bar area downstairs rather than us 2 sitting upstairs, we re customers too & we should have been treated better. they didn t even offer a discount or anything for the inconvenience even after we brought it up. 0/0

The fried chicken Sandos need improvement. The breading wasnt crispy enough and it fell apart very easily as did the whole sandwich. The fries were crispy which was nice.

Tried the Hamilton location. Wasnt aware this was a chain. WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Will NEVER go back and I dont recommend anyone try this place. First had to wait till the brunette behind the bar was on the outside of the bar parting with the guys at the bar. Finally asked her if the kitchen was still open. She replied I dont know, have to wait for the server to come back She continues to party with the guys. Should have left right then. Server returned, stoned out of her tree. She assured me that the kitchen was still open. The music was so unnecessarily loud I couldnt here the server. Unacceptable!! Ordered a chicken wrap with blue cheese, recieved it half hour later after the waitress informed me she forgot to put it in. It arrived with no blue cheese. The fries were pittyful, last on the tray I suppose, graveyard came in a 2 ounce cup lol. Pathetic!! Food was not bad. Staff needs to be fired and the manager re educated on how to run a business. It was loud, the waitress keep coming over to ask if I wanted water, and the half naked bartender was SO obnoxiously loud, the music blaring, I really did not enjoy my meal. Left without a tip and dissatisfied. Oh forgot to mention. Halfway through my meal the waitress asked if I wanted to settle the bill now?!! Are you kidding!!

Went there tonight. We had to find the one clean table. No tables were bussed the entire time we were there. The music was obnoxiously loud and just Bluetoothed off the waitresses phone with message notifications and all. Awful experience

Used to be the best. New employees. Absolutely ruined. Not even remotely the same. We havent had The Coop since last year. We decided to treat ourselves. Really BAD decision. It was terrible, didnt taste the same at all. Unfortunately we wont be ordering from The Coop on King and Hess in Hamilton.

This is my third location of The Coop that Ive been to and this is my worst experience so far. I havent been to a location in a year and I came today for a treat. There was no other customers in the restaurant besides myself and my fiance. I got my go to order which is the classic seared chicken sandwich and today it had no flavour to it. I also asked for no tomato and my fiance did not want fries with his sandwich and we both got what we did not want. Overall it does not have the same atmosphere as the Burlington or Mississauga locations.

We have been to The Coop several times over the past few years and were thrilled to find out they have a new $5 menu! We were quick to check it out and found out to our own surprise that they have a new owner. He was so friendly and helpful, made sure our meal was okay and told us the next time we come back dessert is on him! We will definitely be back again

I had a lovely experience, Megan is amazing.

We had high expectations for them but sad to say we did not enjoy the food at all. The onion rings were super soggy (which I understand can happen during takeout), but the biggest problem was everything was so bland and flavours were pretty much non existent. Apart from the onion rings we had fried deviled eggs, mac n cheese bites, chicken fingers. The sauces were meh and potion size was surprisingly small for a total of $50 (dinner for two).

Came here for the first time this afternoon. The Nashville Chicken Sandwich was juicy, tender, nicely coated and had the perfect spice level cut by the pickles with finesse. The poutine was good as well. I will definitely return to try other dishes.

The food is great, my husband and I have been quite a few times. The staff is always friendly. The last time we went there was a few people there that were so loud that we couldnt even hear ourselves, the language was unacceptable I am glad I didnt have kids with me. We had to move from downstairs to the upper area due to the loudness but could still hear the loud woman who was obviously drunk. The manager told us she was told to be quiet and that lasted maybe 10 minutes then started again. We will go back but if we walk in and hear all that again we will definitely be taking our business elsewhere.

Megan was our server and she was so nice and made our trip here so enjoyable! Drinks were amazing and even gave us our own room because there were a lot of us!

Horrible food and service! Chicken burgers were soggy and flavourless. Found a very hard bone in one of our burgers thankfully it was in mine and not my sons. Restaurant reached out wanting to make it right so I removed my review to give them a second chance but then they ghosted us.

Best chicken tacos I had in my life! I ate there, took some home and before leaving Hamilton we made sure to get some more. They are that good! They have 2 flavors I can t choose which one I like more but I would come back to Hamilton just to get tacos in this place. The buffalo one is better with ranch instead of blue cheese. The other one is great just as it comes.

Stopped in a for a quick lunch when it first opened for the day around noon. Had the Nashville chicken sandwich and my buddy had the chicken BLT crushed every bit of it even the side of waffle fries!! Food was cooked to perfection and packed full of flavour!! Would recommend to anyone looking for a great chicken spot, they even have board games to play while you re there! I believe the bartender was Dillon? Dude was hilarious and great at his job, just what you need to keep the vibes high!! Well done coop.. well done

What happened???? We walked in and were not even greeted. We sat in the upstairs portion of the restaurant and it took 10 minutes to get any service. We finally made our orders, we almost left (should have). The egg app was delicious so we were really excited for our chicken strips as they have been amazing in the past but were hugely disappointed. The chicken strips tasted like fried flour and the fries were definitely fresh from freezer to fryer. ZERO FLAVOR for the chicken?! :( no one checked on us to see how the food was. Weve been sitting up here waiting for a server so we can leave.

This review is specifically for quality/prep of the food for delivery, and their operation as a food service business. Group ordered delivery for a work lunch. Orders were simple and straight forward - no substitutions or adjustments were made. We had ordered: OG Coop x 1, Big Coop x 4, waffle fries x 2, onion rings x 1, reg fries x 2, and coop dip x 2. We received the correct sandwiches, however, instead of waffle fries were curly fries (in bags labeled waffle fries) and they did not send any ordered dips. Sandwiches were relatively bland, and all bottom buns were soggy even though there was very little sauce per sandwich to boot. Fries were under-seasoned and soggy. Normally a mixup is forgivable, and doesnt warrant a complete write-off of trying a resto again. However, this was our first time ordering again since 2022 which back then, we had ordered quite frequently and dealt with the same issues every order. Our Uber delivery service was actually great. Timely delivery, courteous, and no signs of the food being tampered with. All you could want. Now, its not so much that the food was lackluster that is the issue here. Whats wrong here is that this restaurant made no effort to communicate whether they were out of a particular item which led to them choosing to substitute it themselves without contacting the customer, or if it was just another genuine relapse in quality control of their services. For the prices this place charges, and the visible lack of effort in how their orders are prepared/served, the value is just not there. There are far better options at a similar price point here in Hamilton. I will not extend my business to this restaurant again. The best thing The Coop can do for Hamilton is to disappear and pave way for a new and hopefully more promising business that actually shows effort in their services.

I have been to the Hamilton coop multiple times. Went in December and it was good. Went this week and it was very underwhelming. No seltzer s available, selection of beers very slim. Food came out not even warm. 3 out of 6 orders were wrong. Sat upstairs and it was super hot. Not sure if there is a management change, but I don t think we will be returning to the Hamilton location.

Great experience at this restaurant! The Nashville wings were a flavor explosion - crispy, succulent, and perfectly seasoned. The service with friendly staff enhancing the overall enjoyment. Cozy ambiance, great for gatherings. Undoubtedly, the best wings i had in Hamilton!

To the red hair bartender that worked Saturday night ( Feb 17th ) . We just finished working a 12 hour shift and wanted a beer while we waited for our takeout. You spent 15 minutes with your back to us and ignored my friend asking 3 times for a pint of PBR. We are the ones that ordered food and just left. Your service is awful. Your hair went in th ice well when you put to much ice in the guys rum and coke and also splashed half the rum out when you tried to knock the extra ice out. Your tvs also did not work and the Leafs game was on. The service here is awful. Go somewhere that deservee your money. Also saw a couple wait 5 min plus to be seated when the place was dead. Seriously. Go some where else.

Went here on New Years day with friends for mimosas (bottle + OJ) and brunch. The bottle and OJ served 3 of us about 4 drinks each for a very affordable price! I had the Cluckin big breakfast and a friend, the Nashville eggs benny. We finished off sharing the cinnamon sticks with ice cream.

We had a wonderful dinner here, great service and such tasty food! Our waitress was very attentive, the food was out fast and hot. Great experience for a Saturday night! Would recommend to anyone looking for some tasty chicken. Fair pricing too!

Highly suggest to sit beside the wall art in the back, it is nostalgic and a great conversation piece. Simpsons, Pokémon, Britney Spears, Jennifer Aniston, South Park, you name it, so many iconic things scattered in a collage. The waitress we had was friendly and had great service skills. We ordered 2 chicken sandwiches, the one pictured is the Nashville Southern fried sandwich with blue cheese added. The salad has blackened chicken with cesar dressing and bacon chunks scrambled throughout. The appetizer we got was crispy and lightly seasoned onion pedals and some coop dip. Go try a THICK sandwich when your in the mood for one, this place makes great food!!

I have nothing bad to say about this place. 6 of us stopped in and had a variety of meals. The servers were great, polite and friendly. I think this place is a bit of a sleeper!! We all had great meals. One criticizm.... No CANADIAN BEER on tap!! Shame on you!! Lol

I went to Coops for lunch with some friends and had a great time. The atmosphere was great because the layout and the decor on the walls is very cool. I got the Korean fried chicken sandwich and it was fantastic, Id definitely try it again. The service was also nice and quick. While the food and the atmosphere were great, the price is a bit steep but otherwise Id totally recommend.

Coop has great food. Unfortunately, this location has cooks who dont care much or servers who are overwhelmed taking more than one specific order for one thing at a time. We were all ready to order food and drinks at the same time. When the food came, two of the orders were made with toppings specifically asked to leave off, two orders were missing items, one order had half the toppings advertised not on their meal at all. When the bills came, that last meal mentioned was charged an upcharge for the toppings - that are shown on the menu as coming on the sandwich. One would expect a discount on at least one of our bills for the several mistakes that were made. This was on top of never being brought any cutlery (we just made do with our hands) and I had to grab condiments from the table beside us because we never got those either. We all agreed we would go back to Coop again - just not that location.

Our server Jeff was very friendly and accommodating. Out time was restricted so the food came quiclky, hot and fresh. Chicken was wicked!

Recently ordered delivery through Skip the Dishes and the food came quickly and was delicious! Part of my order was missing but the restaurant quickly delivered the missing items after I called to let them know. Really impressed with their customer service and great tasting chicken.

Man, Id give u better scoring but the arse of a friend I was with tooth forever to get the food so it was cold. Props to the staff on the day when his support staff dipped and had to deal with my friend who undoubtedly caused a scene when getting the order.

Since my original review they have improved immensely and want to leave it all to show their improvements. They have solid food with decent prices! Def recommend these days!! Ordered chicken and waffles from uber eats and it was awful. It was cold, dry, and tasted terrible (over spiced and under cooked egg and chicken). Been sick to my stomach for the last hour because of it.

My daughter ordered the burger and I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and we shared a routine poutine. Holy man was it delicious.. the ground beef was impeccable and the poutine was made with fresh cut fries. The burger was probably the best burger I have ever had in my entire life. The food was very underwhelming, chicken fingers were very small, and lack of seasoning made the food just ok. I would not rush back to eat there. The server was ok but not attentive and became more attentive closer to tip time. All in all, it was not the experience I expected as I had heard good things.

Food was awesome. If you can handle spicy i highly recommend the Nashville chicken sandwich. Service was on point. And the live music was great. Would revisit no doubt.

The Coop is a hidden gem. The fried chicken is unlike any chain commercial fried chicken out there, the seasoning used on both the chicken and the cauliflower appeared to be the same, full of flavour and spices, the tacos were full of flavour with their pickled onions and ginger, the freshness of the cucumber made sure they weren t dry and added a crunch and texture happiness in our mouth, the chicken and waffles provided a great sweet and savoury balance, the onion petals were soft yet crunchy, and those waffle fries... you can never go wrong with waffle fries. Oh - and how could I forget - they upsold us on Laila s cheesecake from Burlington (@lailascheesecakeco on IG)- the Biscoff flavour, it comes in an 8oz mason jar and was super fresh, with a sweet looking topping. We didn t eat it with the meal, saving it for later, and it was one of the best small business cheesecakes we have ever had.

First time ordering from here, and I was quite underwhelmed. I expected pretty good things based on the reviews, but once I opened the box, I was disappointed. 3 tiny pieces of chicken for $13.99... I was expecting something of substance but left feeling robbed. The food unfortunately arrived cold, which was another downer... hey, maybe these small pieces of chicken will blow my mind? Meh, the sauce was good, I got honey garlic to be safe, and it tasted like your average honey garlic. The coating was crispy, but everything was cold, so the quality just wasnt there. The slaw was okay... it felt like it was missing something; it was very mild. The Mac and cheese balls were really good (probably would have been better if it was warm) So, in the end, I spent $13.99 on 3 small pieces of cold chicken, and Im still hungry.

Food was has been 5 based on freshness and good cooked dishes (taco, waffle fries, sandwiches and salad). Now they changes the menu (more like they removed items) including burger salad, and other items. We still love it but we don t go as often. Service is poor.. only two who are great! the big tall guy who is actively trying his best (I guess he is the manager) and the guy with bandana but the rest are like why are we here.. the Cheifs are working hard and hats down to them..

we inquired about drinks that we wanted that were on the menu But they were missing ingredients or did not have in stock. 1 of the metal plates was dripping, wet, like they hand washed it, and still had remnants of the food previous the last customer, The female waitress/bartender was very rude towards us right from the beginning, and seemed like she didn t care that we were paying customers We placed our food order with her, and then waited upon getting our food within 10 minutes of eating a Male employee as I was in the middle of eating he took away my plate and asked if we wanted our bill I find a very rude since I was in the middle of eating, and he didn t even ask if I was done It seemed like they were in a rush to get us out of there We were there around about 7 /8 pm As we sat there some other customers came in and they were given a tray of condiments, such as ketchup, vinegar, salt, and pepper, and all that We were lucky to get a bottle of ketchup, no salt no pepper no vinegar they didn t even ask if we wanted Since we ordered french fries on the side also Due to the atmosphere dirty plate they were missing ingredients to make certain drinks. very rude staff and being rushed to get out of there It ruined our dinner experience at this so call restaurant/bar

My boyfriend and I drove all the way from Peterborough late Wednesday evening and were so exhausted & looking for amazing food to fill our tired stomachs and WOW was the Coop Wicked Chicken just MIND BLOWING. From the food coming out super quick, looking delicious and absolutely scrumptious, with VERY generous portions, to the incredibly attentive and caring hospitality we received from not only from the manager/supervisor but seriously all of the staff, & even the delivery driver was incredibly kind to us. Lots of amazing conversation, so many boardgames, amazing beers on tap, and even Mario kart!! We definitely will make the drive up again just for the Coop Wicked Chicken and have already told so many friends and family about our lovely experience. Thanks again!! This is hands down the BEST chicken I have had for take out! Not only were the chicken tenders not greasy, they were large pieces, the slaw is amazing, and the waffle fries - YUM! I really loved the handwritten note on the bag. It just made my work trip that much better :) I just placed an order for the chicken sandwich for tonights dinner. Thank you!

Food and service is good. Good options and tasty. Bit of a challenge for parking if youre not walking. Love the 90s and 2000s era feeling.

The Nashville chicken sandwich is the best. Everything was quick, fresh and delicious. Their fried chicken and waffles are also very yummy.

Deliciousness in a fun place. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was the best I have ever had. I have been waiting a long time to find a place that served the Nashville hot chicken that truly lived up to my expectations. Ohhhhh . And the deep fried deviled eggs! So good! Staff was super friendly too. Hope to be back again soon!

Randomly visited this place and tried Coop d Up Chicken and Nashville Chicken Benny. Both the dishes were super delicious. One issue I noticed is there is no sides included for the price point. Everything is add on. Spot on service as well. Would highly recommend.

The burgers are good but the place is unclean and dirty. I went to the washroom it was horrible inside. This place is not cheap at all at least make sure to clean toilets.

My boyfriend and I came here for 6 months it was amazing the waiters were amazing so sweet and so polite and when I made a complaint to one of the waiters about of the waiters about how 1 of the men sitting there was being rude and creepy and followed me to the bathroom she took that complaint very seriously she also confirmed to me that it was a regular customer and that she was so sorry she wouldnt spoke to him after we left but dont let that stop you from going just avoid the front and sit on the back tables

This gotta be the best food spot in the city. While it may be a lil expensive, the price you paying is worth it. When I order my signature special meal, they make sure to make everything extra good. The service is also elite. I remember I was omw there to pick up an order and the lady called me to make sure I was okay on the highway. Also, another time I recall waiting in my car for my order during what felt like Canadas worst storm in history and the lady still walked out to hand me my order. HIGHLY RECCOMEND.

Back again this is our go to place every Sunday for brunch, this is the go to place for great chicken! Had a great time @the Coop. The food was excellent and staff very friendly. I would like to give props to the management @Coop Hamilton especially Jeff, thanks for reaching out. Thats big in my books, I highly recommend a visit at the Coop where they actually put their customers first.

Went for bottomless mimosas brunch and was surprised how they truly are bottomless. Not only was the staff friendly and attentive the good was good too. Only drawbacks I could think of is the patio is kind of small so of going with a large party you kind of have to sit inside. Parking isnt great in the area either but if you are going for bottomless mimosas may be better off taking an Uber...

Wow, absolutely delicious! I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich, and others with me had the Club sandwich, 5-piece tenders and nachos! Everyone enjoyed their food, service was excellent! Food was a little pricey but will definitely return if Im in the area!

Taco is the best

Burnt fries with horrible look and color. Soggy and black charred. Patty was so bad tasted. Couldn t even finish it.

Autumn made me a DELICIOUS improvised cocktail, perfect for the summer and exactly to my taste. Totally complemented my meal as well. Cant wait to see what she comes up with next time!

All the bartenders are very friendly, this is my go to place when I want to make new friends. Always feel at home there. Steph, kelsey, Taylynn and Katie are very good at their jobs. Nice to feel at home, new comers always welcome. See yall there! The Coop keeps me happy!

Popped in for a quick bite during my stop in Hamilton. Great atmosphere with good music and great servers. Chicken sandwich had good heat to it and a nice crunch. I would give the sandwich a 3.7/5. I will definitely return next time I m in the area.

I ve eaten a lot of chicken. This chicken is good chicken - get the chicken and waffles. It s a stellar combo that is slept on a lot here in Canada. I d suggest coming for lunch as it is not super busy.

I ve been here multiple times for their brunch, chicken sandwiches and recently tried their nachos with fried chicken on top. The portions are fair, the service is friendly and the drinks are cold! My favourite dish here has to be the deviled eggs especially during brunch. The patio in the summer weather is a pleasant experience when I came here with 3 of my pals. I definitely recommend their nachos and LIIT. Their nachos are piled high with toppings, the chips are fresh and the prices are very fair. I definitely recommend you park in the one hour spots to the right of their establishment as you may not have luck parking on King St during rush hour times.

The worst service you can possibly get. Our server was drinking on the job while avoiding customers. It took 30 minutes after getting her attention to have her bring the bill, while she cashed out people that finished after us along the way to our table. The food was greasy and soggy. 0/10.

I really like the idea of this place, music was nice too. But the workers at the bar seemed more interested in drinking the alcohol vs attending to the actual paying customers.

Ordered Nashville hot Chicken through Uber eats. I eat plenty of hot food more then some. I have tried the last dab hot sauce the heat on this is a close 2nd. Too much heat to enjoy on a sandwich. Lips have been burning for at least 20 mins. Wife ordered the same and she could not eat her food, need to update the description to Nashville extra hot chicken. Change the description so consumer is better informed. 2 stars since we could not enjoy the meal. If the heat was similar to Hambugr Nashville Hot Chicken I would have given 3 to 4.

I went there to get some and hunrgy l had a little bit sit down ordered some food and drink.It felt like ever but it was ok etc.

The sauce with the Blue Plate Special reminds me of St. Huberts and kind of edges out chalet sauce.

Great concept but execution is meh. Nice presentation, fried chicken tastes slightly better than average not dry, the onion batter unfortunately thick and too salty, coleslaw was bitter, mashed potatoes lacked taste or creaminess. Very nice friendly staff!

Terrible customer service. We ordered takeout and they forgot part of our order and when we called they offered zero assistance. Instead the lady just blamed the takeout person who packed the order. Did not offer a resolution and just left it at that. I work in the industry so I am aware how the situation should have been handled and that was just wrong and unprofessional on her part. So disappointed and baffled by her lack of customer service.

We sat down at 5:30 and ordered so that we could make it the Toronto Rock game at 7. We didnt receive our food until 6:50 and had to pay before recieving any food. The food was decent, but the service was awful and would not recommend. Very bad experience

We had a reservation for 5:30 and ordered straight away so we could make it to the Toronto rock game at 7pm. We didn t receive our food until 6:50 and our server was absence most of the evening; constantly apologizing for returning every 45-60 mins. Not to mention, we had to pay prior to recieving our food and had to deliberately request take out (after waiting 1.5 hours) to hopefully receive our food in a quicker manner. The food was decent, but the service was awful and would not recommend. A very unforgettable and bad experience.
