The lobby was just okay not what we were hoping for. We went in seeking something more memorable, something that would make us say, We ll be back with friends. Instead, we found ourselves discussing what to write in a fair review while still sitting at the table a telling sign. The atmosphere felt unfinished. The name of the restaurant seems fitting because dining here truly felt like eating in a lobby or perhaps a storage room for old restaurant benches and bistro tables that, while not mismatched, lacked any sense of cohesion or charm. Service and drinks were underwhelming. My son and I ordered soft drinks, but they arrived flat and tasteless. When we raised this with our server, we were told, They all come from the same nozzle, so they ll all be like that. So, flat drinks it was. The food timing was another disappointment. My wife and daughter s meals arrived first, but they were barely warm my wife described hers as just above room temperature. Meanwhile, my chicken and waffles were excellent, but they didn t come out until the other meals were nearly finished. By then, the shared dining experience felt disjointed. As a family, we rated the experience: two 7 s, two 6 s. Perhaps there s potential here, but for now, it s maybe next time.

Came here about a month ago for a first date and the environment here was so intimate and romantic. Mykola was our bartender who was very attentive and checked on us periodically. We ended up leaving far after closing time, being the last ones there while he closed up shop, which was awesome. Well definitely be coming back in the near future!

I came across lobby Hamilton on Instagram and decided to check it out since I m new in town. The vibe looked so stylish and elevated, and it definitely lived up to my expectations! The focaccia and lobster ravioli were great, and the tiramisu was the perfect way to finish things off. I also tried their Purple Haze cocktail from the fall menu it was super tasty. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and our server, Vi, really made the experience great. I ll for sure be coming back!

Christopher the manager took exceptional care of our group. We came as a large group of 12 people and were all individually very well taken care of. My first visit to Lobby was for a friends birthday tonight, and we were thrilled with our decision to visit. Our server, Frankie, immediately made us feel welcome, shared a laugh, and encouraged us to peruse the menu with zero pressure in any way, allowing us to get comfortable. Highlights: Complimentary house made focaccia was light and delicious. Oyster appetizer w/ 4 sauces, fresh and the right amount of saltiness. 12 oz steak with unannounced chimichurri, cooked perfectly, would return just for this alone. Lobster ravioli, nice al dente on the pasta with a savoury filling. Complimentary choice of dessert for our guest of honour (Tiramisu) which was shared and enjoyed by each spoon. Room for improvement: The serving size of the octopus entree was lacking on the protein (2 modest pieces), with potatoes doing most of the heavy lifting. A cocktail, same one ordered twice, was inconsistent from the first to second, and the glass stem was dribbly and sticky upon serving (this should have been noticed and wiped off before sending from the bar. Lets have some standards for a $20 drink). Made me wonder: The website stated a basic dress code on the weekends, but there were both clearly off-shift staff, and diners in athletic wear (running shoes, jeans, graphic tees) and in sports jerseys at the bar, all things that are not permitted, but visibly not enforced. Again, standards. Overall, warm atmosphere, attentive and kind service, delicious food, snap-worthy presentation, and an overall great spot for a special occasion. Wheelchair accessibility: The incline getting you in the door is obstructed by the front of house desk. Poor placement, not at all AODA compliant. Any wheelchair or mobility device would have to run up over a hard inclined edge to get into the restaurant.

Honestly you re paying for the ambience. Food felt overpriced since it was super bland and the portions were small. On top of that, everything felt, looked, and tasted too oily. I ate the lamb chops and my girlfriend REALLY hated the food so I ended up eating her rigatoni too and still felt hungry afterwards. Service was okay, nothing above and beyond. The only reason I would recommend coming here is if money isn t an issue and you just care about nice pictures. Ultimately, if I was forced to choose between this and McDonalds, I d choose McDonalds.

Went for their Sunday brunch with mimosas and had phenomenal food, and an even better experience. I cant even say that the service was what stood out because it didnt feel like we had a server, it just felt like we were hanging out with our best friend. The only saving grace was the manager didn t charge us for our inedible main dishes. Went for my birthday and 4 out of 5 people couldn t even finish their meals, and the one who did forced herself. We all dine out frequently in Hamilton, it is so rare to have this bad of an experience. Super disappointed, I have never complained at a restaurant. Some of us had cold food, but all of it was flavourless, unseasoned, and my husbands fish was uncooked and he immediately felt ill. Our server also never checked on us so we couldn t have even flagged this early on. We really appreciate the manager trying to make the situation right, but it did take some time for him to come speak to us and by that point we had been sitting infront of our meals for 30-40 minutes and really wanted to leave.

I came here for my birthday dinner with my roomates and ordered the braised beef short rib. It was genuinely one of the best restaurant meals I ve ever had. We also ordered the parm truffle fries (as an appetizer) which was good, brussel sprouts (as a side) which was alright but very expensive, and the strawberry cheesecake (as a dessert) which was again alright but way too small for the price. Our server Luca, said he s usually a bartender, but he did a great job and was clearly working hard! Luca was super kind, and even brought us fresh focaccia on the house which was delicious. The place is beautiful as well!

I had walked by many times but never gone inside. It s very cute inside. The food is good, I had the smoked salmon Benedict, and it was delicious. More food than I expected which was a plus. The bottomless mimosa is worth it and our server Jacqui was great, and never left our glasses empty.

My first time here and it was a great experience. Atmosphere was quiet and the decor was simple but attractive. Jacqueline was the server and was attentive, knowledgeable and prompt; this is the kind of service I expect from a fine dining restaurant and its all too rare. Im only deducting one star for the food because I arrived just as they were switching from the brunch menu to Happy Hour, which is a limited menu of mostly deep fried snacks. Ill be back to test out the full menu. Parking: Theres no dedicated parking for the restaurant and lots nearby are small and hard to get to. Street parking is limited depending on time of year due to snow removal. Plan your parking in advance.

Went to lobby with a group of friends a few hours ago. The vibe of the place is amazing. Bartender Lucca recommended me this basil smash drink and it was delicious, definitely a game changer! He was super busy but still was able to take orders and rapidly prepare multiple drinks. Coming back soon for sure!

Was looking forward to finally trying out Lobby but unfortunately tonight was an off night with the service on the patio. We ended up having a few different servers. Our first server introduced herself and explained that she was new and in training. We understood that and were willing to give her grace. She soon after disappeared, and ended up with a new server. Our drinks were ordered with a third server. We waited quite awhile for each course and for our drinks, not to mention the confusion amongst our server(s). While we completely understand if they were trying to train staff, perhaps a little bit more organization within the training and how many tables they were assigning to new servers would have been appreciated especially when we each spent almost $100 (tax & tip included). Both food and Patio atmosphere were good. Update : after I posted this review the restaurant replied to it and asked me to contact them via email. So I did. Never heard back

Absolutely amazing! My girlfriend and I came in to celebrate her birthday and there was no better place for dining and drinking. Our server Vi was the perfect server for us! She was kind, patient, fun and upbeat! She walked us through the menu with recommended dishes and drinks, and made sure that we were enjoying our night. There was never a dull moment, Vi came at the right time to take our orders, served us, took her time to get to know us The service was an easy 5 stars! We ended up ordering a nice bottle of wine to start, appetizers, and for our main we had their delicious rigatoni vodka and pappardelli pasta. Chefs kiss! To top it off, I had to try out their lychee martini and Vi brought us the famous tiramisu birthday cake, it was the perfect thing to end off our night. But the night didn t even end there, Latin Night made our night exceptional, with music, dancing, and just good vibes! If you want to have a night to remember.. it s lobby guaranteed and a skilled server! You will definitely see me again

Took my dad out for dinner and was lucky enough to have Jacqueline as our server. She really ensured we both had the best experience. She was very hospitable, attentive, thoughtful and pleasant to be around. We started with Romanos Focaccia, which is hands down the best in the city. Followed by Fritto misto, Tenderloin, Lamb chops, Salad and we finished with Romanos tiramisu. It was our first time going to Lobby, and Id definitely return for another nice evening on the patio.

Vibes were super cool, drinks were 11/10, main entrees were super lacking IMO i can t lie but the manager Matt was quick to rectify the situation taking whatever wasn t liked off our bill and going above and beyond and bringing the table some drinks. Now that s how you run a business! Oh did i mention the DJ? BUMPIN Definitely a great place for drinks, maybe some apps and a good time, food not so much. Thanks again guys!

Everything was perfect! Our server Frankie was a sweetheart and on point throughout the night. Our drinks were delicious and the food was so fresh and tasty. We loved the atmosphere and the Playlist as well. We will definitely be coming back! We had spicy caesar, the perfect lady, a glass of tequila and red wine. Appetizers were the fritto misto and the oysters east coast. Main lobster ravioli and the steak. All of it was prepared perfectly and was absolutely delicious.

Tried some appetizers before the kitchen closed. I would definitely like to come back earlier in the day to try their food properly. The appetizers were good. The club scene at night is impressive. Its a nice place. Friday nights seems to be the odd stupid fist fight. I dont understand why its usually a Friday night when it happens. Its definitely a nice place to check out. Staff are friendly and respectful.

From the moment we entered the lobby the staff were pleasant, but Aless was phenomenal. She was our server for the night and she ensured that we were well taken care of. She was patient and didnt rush us through the process of ordering. She recommended our drinks, which we love them. This shows she is quite knowledgeable of the items , which we appreciated . Went out on a Saturday night. Music was great, the bartenders are quick, the bathrooms were clean, the patio was nice. It was nice to be able to get away from the crowd and loud music and order food (the patio offered a full menu). Our waitress Alice was so kind and attentive... Really like this place, will be going back and bringing friends!

We visited Lobby for the first time this weekend to celebrate a small gathering and we were very pleased with the entire experience. Our table of 15 was seated in a very nice and quiet area of the restaurant. Our server, Jacqueline, was very attentive and ensured all of our guests were satisfied with the service. For brunch, we ordered the Brunch Tower, which included fruits, eggs florentine, avocado toast, and the usual breakfast basics. Everything was quite delicious. Some guests ordered additional items off the menu. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food and the overall experience. We ll be back again the next time we re in town. Food was well priced and tasty and the restaurant roof top and dining area is beautiful! What a great place to hang out or go on a date! However, the service is lacking in comparison to the restaurant. Our waitress was not informed by the hostess that we were here . So waited 30mins before even getting water and ordering . Almost got up and left . But the witness herself was awesome and tired to make up for it. But first impressions are everything and the hostess was unprofessional.

Slow service. Mediocre food. Seemed like they didn t want to advertise any specials. I was really excited to try this place with my date and was pretty disappointed. We came for the late night happy hour and buck a shuck oysters. The hostess mentioned the buck a shuck but not happy hour. When we saw the server she didn t mention happy hour either. We were confused when she tried to take our drink orders and we weren t sure how it worked. I asked if it was still on and she said, Yes, I ll get you a different menu. So I guess if you don t already know they don t plan on telling you? Our drinks came in a decent-ish time but it took over an hour before we saw any food. And the place from what I could see was not busy (5 tables total in the dining room we were in) on a Tuesday evening at 9pm. After an hour the server came to say it would be a few more minutes (it was 15) with no apology or mention of the long wait time. When the food did all come it was *okay*, nothing to write home about. However we never saw the server again for the rest of our meal. We ordered our oysters and if we had wanted to order more we would have been out of luck. We weren t checked on at all. When she finally came to clear our plates I just asked for the bill because it was almost midnight. We had actually wanted dessert but didn t want to be there for another hour waiting for a mediocre item. I was really disappointed because I had been excited to try this place and wanted to treat my partner to a nice night out and it was kind of embarrassing that the service was nowhere near what it should have been for a place so beautiful and seemingly upscale.

The food here was great. Our server was attentive and went out or her way to help her guests. The atmosphere was nice and not too loud. The drinks menu was extensive and the wine selection was also great. The calamari was excellent and the lobster ravioli and lamb were also standouts. Would definitely recommend Lobby Hamilton.

Very nice and elegant restaurant. Atmosphere is calming, serene and romantic. Service was great. EXCEPT!!!! Went for a ladies get together birthday and I ordered the chicken parm with mashed (29). First portion was so small. The chicken parm is embarrassing to say but looked like it came from a frozen box you d buy at a grocery store and added sauce with melted cheese on it. Not worth the money. Mash d potatoes such a small portion. Food was not even hot ( freshly made). For such an elegant restaurant you d expect better quality meal. At least restaurant prepared chicken parm. Like real chicken breast. Kelsey s offers better chicken parm and a full plate incl veggies for that price. To offer such a small portion with not even restaurant made chicken parm on a plate that is twice as big as a portion is an embarrassment . The pasta plate was a better deal than that. Sorry Lobby (Hamilton downtown) but that was a disappointment.

Came here with a friend at her suggestion. I had a great experience! I chose the burger with fries and everything was delicious! Sabryna was the server and she did an amazing job! This place is located right in downtown Hamilton, which is greta if youre in the downtown. Parking is a slight issue but parking is a problem all over the downtown (street parking is relatively cheap in either case but be sure to download the Passport Parking App beforehand). I highly recommend Lobby!

I popped into this bar and was greeted by an awesome bartender Miki. This guy not only rocked at making drinks but also had the friendliest vibe ever. His welcoming nature really made my night special. If youre after great drinks and a warm atmosphere, Mikoli is the one to see!

The lobby has such great aesthetic and the service was fantastic. I celebrated my birthday with 19 of my family and friends and had to go through Sheena to make my reservations. She was very friendly and very quick to respond to my emails. We had Christopher as our server who made sure everyone was happy with our experience and did a wonderful job. I had the lobster roll, which was so delicious while my daughter ordered the falafel salad bowl and my son had the fried chicken. I tried the falafel bowl and thought it needed a little more flavour and my son said the same about the fried chicken. The tiramisu was so good, I probably could have eaten another slice. Kid-friendliness: I had my six month old baby and they had a highchair ready when we arrived, and my friend brought her two boys (7 & 5) and they enjoyed themselves and their hamburger.

Great food and ambience and the service at this restaurant is top-notch, making the dining experience truly exceptional.

I came here for my birthday last night, and absolutely loved it! Our waitress was super nice, as well as all the staff. I enjoyed my meal, and the overall vibes definitely make me want to come back :)

Amateur hour at the lobby. Strange menu including a mortadella sandwich on a brioche bun(??), chicken parm (tasted like it was from frozen) with one of the steak sides (not one of the 2 pastas on the menu), and a Tomahawk steak at market price (does that mean sometimes they have to go to No Frills when Fortinos is out of tomahawks?) Service was adequate and the cocktails were nothing special (had a martini and an old fashioned on par with an airport bar). To top off the forgettable experience, the chairs on the patio are cheap and spine numbing.

The black male security guard with the braided locs and glasses was very racist towards me and when I expressed this to staff they all laughed and said how can he be racist? He s black! Just to clarify and educate that INTERracism very much does exist. It s not uncommon to see people being racist towards their own kind of race of people. We were having a conversation and the music was loud so I was trying to talk over the music so he could hear what I was saying and he proceeded to say you yelling like this makes you look like an angry black woman. The stereotypical angry black woman just for engaging in conversation and trying to make sure I was heard over there very loud music . This racism is absolutely unacceptable and upset me so much I had to just leave the establishment as a whole. Funny how everyone else who is yelling and speaking over the music isn t being considered as an angry white person . Will never come back to such a place where I can be attacked racially and when addressing it with staff they just laughed and condoned it. In 2024, racism is clearly never ending; thanks for ruining my night!

Want to start off by saying me and my friend both come from restaurants both as a head host and bartender so we get it when you need to flip a table for a reservation Got sat at my reservation time 7:30 we ordered a drink and app and got told at 8:00 just so you know we need this table for 10:30 acting like me and my one friend was going to stay for 3 hours. We get it if it was a hour before the reservation time but we felt rushed out as a we were getting our table bussed quick too. Again obviously we wouldn t stay that long..we left by 8:30 as we felt we were being starred at and rushed out . And yes we come from restaurants so obviously we weren t going to hold a table.

Awesome place especially the back patio later at night it turns into a little club chill spot back there, on rain days inside was chill the music was good got better later in the night drinks and staff were awesome.

Finally got to check out Lobby for brunch and it did not disappoint! The perfect place to celebrate any occasion with a great menu and a really fun atmosphere. Jaclyn was our server and she was so warm and inviting and really made our first visit that much more special. Looking forward to returning!

We came in tonight for a dinner date and the place is really nicely decorated, the atmosphere was a bit dampened due to how close the tables were to each other, you could literally hear everything anyone said which did interfere with the experience. The couple dining behind us were extremely condescending and rude to their waitress Destiny who was new and doing a great job. Our server Frankie was great and friendly, the food was smaller portions but surprisingly filling and the lobster ravioli was really creamy.

Went there this Saturday and had some great food. The server Franky made some amazing recommendations and was incredibly nice. Definitely get the fritto misto and lobster ravioli.

We went to Lobby for their buck a shuck and a drink before going to another dinner reservation. We usually order a cocktail but $20 for a basic cocktail when all the other cocktail bars in Hamilton are 15-16 made us just settle for beer. Which was fine and reasonably priced. The oysters were tiny, grocery store oysters with lots of grit. Almost every oyster came with a piece of shell in your mouth. We initially ordered 12 and then ordered a second since we were enjoying the ambience and we still had beer. The second dozen took 20 minutes, which is odd for a buck a shuck night. Overall, you pay for their fancy look and vibe. The patio was nice to sit and enjoy a beer.

My girls and I tried this place for the first time today, and we immediately knew that we would be coming back. The food was amazing, and I think the quality and portions are worth the price. I also had some of the most amazing foccacia ever. The lobster ravioli was heavenly. Its the kind of dish I know Im gonna dream about and would make the one hour drive for. My friend had the bolognese which was also delicious. It is more on the higher end, but its a great place to treat yourself, celebrate events, and go on dates. It is stunning and beautiful inside. Jacqui, our waitress, took amazing care of my friends and I! She checked in just the right amount of times, making sure we were satisfied with our meals and our drinks. My friends and I never waited long and felt like we were taken care of. The hostess, on the otherhand, was the opposite story. When we walked in, her demeanor wasnt welcoming or friendly. She looked like she couldnt be bothered, she felt cold. My friends and I felt like we were annoying her. She was pouting? And her voice, she sounded annoyed and tired. As the first face to greet the restaurant, we were kinda turned off. Im not sure if she was having a bad day. Thankfully, everything else was lovely and would def come again.

Overpriced and terrible service inside, outside patio was better service. This place does not know if it s a bar or a club. At first, it looked like somewhere to have a great time. Things turned down when the bartender made eye contact three times but immediately looked away to wipe glasses when asking for a drink. Was a little confused if he did not want to serve drinks or just did not want to be there himself. Expect to pay nearly 2x for the same drink at one of the other businesses on the same block.
