Caesar salad and mozzarella sticks were tasty. Pretty disappointed in the chicken parm wings though, they were rather bland. Filling meal regardless. Service was good, but I wish she told some customers that the pinball machine was broken, though

The Hamilton Hawaiian used to be pulled pork, caramelized onions and pineapple and drastically changed, disappointed to order extra pulled pork and find that the recipe is completely different without notice.

The bartender working Tuesday night made the best martini I ve had this year!

We where there with vegan friends. We all where able to get delicious food. Huge portions. Good prices and we didnt feel rushed to leave once we where finished. We sat for about 20 mins just chatting.

Just went for drinks after a comedy show. fun time. The arcade games were an unexpected nice touch.

Maybe its because we went on a Monday? Not sure. Found this restaurant on Google when searching for fun places to take a kid for dinner. Went with our 7 year old grand daughter. Arrived and we were brought to a table, given water then after some time order was taken. Asked if they had a kids menu as I specifically searched this place for kid friendly, no kids menu. Ok. So my granddaughter ordered spaghetti and my husband a pizza. While we waited we were told we could go to the arcade. Get up there and maybe 6 games worked. Total disappointment. Waitress came and told us food was ready. Pizza was good! Worth the price tag probably not. The spaghetti looked and tasted like frozen meatballs... for nearly $30 for something she ate less than half of, no thank you. Bread sticks were also something you get from the frozen section. Its definitely not kid friendly. Youre seated in what seems to be a bar atmosphere (only one other patron was inside drinking at the bar). All in all, save your money if youre thinking family friendly. Totally was not the experience we were hoping for. The cobblestone street was nice. Probably the nicest part of the dinner

Pizza was really good service great I gave 4 stars for 2 reasons.. the pan they use on the pizza makes the pizza have a soggy bottom however makes great left overs for home in the toaster oven the next day so yummy! Second the machines love the idea but some dont work and most of them if you want to play 2 player mode it doesnt work the one pinball machine was jammed with another quarter so couldnt play no point in running that machine all day there was another machine I noticed the screen wasint working and they running it still.

The pizza used to be amazing, but theyve changed their recipes and now its not worth the money. The Hamilton Hawaiian changed from braised pork to bacon and thin strips of ham (think lunch meat), and added onions and banana peppers, but they kept it the same name. Used to be a regular, but after giving it a shot twice since the change Im just going to eat elsewhere now.

Holy power trip! Our crew comes to Hamilton a few times a year. We ve been to this bar before with no issues. Tonight, there was a security guard who kept coming around us. We didn t think anything of it, and we were all friendly. I guess the bartenders refused service to one member of our party (co-worker #1) but that meant none of us were allowed back in-from the patio we were sitting on, not even to use the bathroom!!! My co-worker (#2) spoke calmly to the security guard, just asking why he couldn t go back in to see his father at the bar. The wanna be cop pulled out his flashlight to shine in my coworker s face, and screamed at him to step back -as if he were holding a weapon or something. Co-worker#2 kept calm and asked if he d at least gather the rest our group from inside-which included his father. The security guard kept acting overly aggressive. I had one bottle of water the 45mins I was there, and can t understand why I couldn t use the the bathroom because the bartender had a mild annoyance to coworker#1 And I feel coworker#2 was treated horrendously. We ll take our business to Electric Diner, they welcomed us after the ordeal next door.

Poor service - we had a group of ten people on the patio and had to go inside and ask for a server to take orders and bring bill. Always a long delay. The place was not busy either. Bad attitude.

This place has late-night vegan food options! I know Hamilton has several good vegan restaurants, but they were all closed when I was there. This place has a decent vegan options menu, including vegan mozzarella on their pizza and eggplant parm. The atmosphere was amazing! I love the pedestrian street this bar is on, and the coziness inside. Feels like a bar out of an older movie, in a good way. The best part is that the arcade games are all FREE. Come for the food/drinks, and you get all the games you want. Dont think theres anything else like that in the GTA. Vegetarian options: There is a vegan menu with fair options. The server with the micro bangs and bollo tie was insanely rude. My jaw dropped at how mean she was. I came after art crawl with friends, I forgot my wallet including my ID and was okay with a coke (I have Apple Pay)while my friends drank but the server had a large attitude and said no one will drink now . I said I understand I can t drink as it s the law but the why should my friends not. We left as not only she refused my friends it felt like she was bullying us when we confusingly talked to the server with such an attitude. I ve been here before and was disappointed as the food is amazing!

Our food was good, if a little expensive, but our server Emerald was fantastic. She was very warm and receptive to our needs. The arcade games were fun for our kids. Will return.

BEST Mozza sticks Ive ever had. Pizza was amazing as well. Staff was friendly and attentive. Great vibe on the street. 100% will be back with the kids to enjoy the free arcade.

I didnt get to play in the arcade, but everything else was awesome

The big mac pizza transcends space and time, as you bite the slice you are transported to an alternate universe where McDonalds never made burgers but instead pizza. Each slice hits like the first bite of two 1/4lb patties on a sesame seed bun. As you come back to reality you ask yourself How has McDonalds legal not caught onto this? and then Is what Im eating even legal? followed by Will I be named as John Doe in a future lawsuit? Staff have assured me its fine. Seriously dont skip the Mac Pizza. Lumberjack is good as well, tough spot in 2nd place though. Parking: Road is not accessible by car, you will have to park a few blocks away.

Great pizza, especially the pepperoni pizza and a nice selection of draft beers. The pinball machines and video games were a lot of fun, but several were not working, hence the 4 star instead of 5 stars review.

I went here on a date whith my girlfriend and did not like how it went , she was just arriving from the airport very tired , no greetings if it wasnt for us , no one went to give us the menú so we had to go to the bar and ask for drink and menú. And the service the rest of the night didnt get better , the food and drink were perfect , just for the service.

We did our gender reveal here! Kyann was our server, and she went ABOVE and beyond to make this moment truly special for us. 10/10 that girl truly cared it blew my mind. I will always remember this moment in the best way thanks to her! Thank you to all of the girls working for making this so special. We have been coming here for a year now for date nights and its the best spot! 10/10 always recommend!

Such a great vibe with top notch service!!! Even though we came when the pizza oven was broken we had a fantastic time, Neely was absolutely amazing (seriously such a kind human!!) she had great recommendations and the sandwich she suggested was awesome! Huge portion sizes, highly recommend you try the mozzarella sticks!! Thanks Neely, we will definitely stop in next time were in town!

Crazy how this place was popping its first few months of being open. Then all of a sudden it just dipped in quality, curious as to how that happened.

Grimy rats at the bar. Went here last night, the place looked awesome online. Bought a beer and walked around, lost $5.50 on a karaoke machine and driving game. Both broken, still plugged in and without an out of order sign. Went and asked the bartender I had given a $5er tip to for a refund and all they had to say was sorry about that before turning to their co working and saying I gotta go and walking away. Forget stars I give this place two middle fingers up.

I had a great time at Moody s recently during one of their trivia nights. If you have a chance to go when Steven from House of Adam and Steve is hosting, you won t be disappointed. He s hilarious, a great trivia host (even when ill!) and a little bit unhinged. My group ordered pizza and drinks and had no complaints, everything was delicious. The atmosphere is also fun and unique - they have tons of arcade games and 80s movies playing all night. My only suggestion is to turn down the volume on the speaker! :)

This place was so cool and the kitchen was so attentive. The food was wicked, the veggie options were superb and its in such a cute little walk through part of the city. Will definitely return if Im up that way again! Vegetarian options: They have a whole plant based menu PLUS dipping sauces

Didnt have the best experience. I made a 30th birthday reservation over a week & a half in advance, they told me I was going to be upstairs across from the bar. They had nothing else booked for that night so we could have that space, a private nook big enough to fit 15 of us in the arcade bar. I was excited, I wanted to go there because Id heard great things about their food and the arcade! They called me the day of to confirm numbers and time. I also confirmed with them that wed still be upstairs, they said yes! So I told my group we were going to be upstairs in the arcade. When we showed up we were just put in this corner downstairs with an extra table just in the next room for us...the server gave me a bit of attitude Well, you never confirmed your numbers or what time you were coming so.... When we walked in we noticed a sign Arcade closed for private party tonight. ?!? If you would have just told me on the phone that someone else wanted to book a private party upstairs and that you were sorry for the inconvenience that would have been fine. Instead we were put in a small corner on the main floor where it had three working games.... Not the 30th birthday I was hoping for. Made me feel like it was my fault and we didnt get to enjoy the arcade which we came specifically for.

I ve been calling this place for 2 days and the phone just rings endlessly !!!!! I ve called over 100 times with no answer. Screw this place .. service standards SUCK!!

Tried calling to make a reservation 2 days in a row but nobody answers the phone.

The place is super cool, and the food is spectacular. I was in the other day a little later at night and once we got service it was great. But the bartender seemed more interested in talking to their friends than actually feeling orders. I sat at the bar for 10 minutes before I was even greeted. And several times my friend asked for a refill and was not given one until much later. The bartending staff was super nice, just a little lax. But it was late on a not very busy night.

Loaded dough was insanely good. Everything on the menu is worth getting

Super cool vibe. Super uncool cider price. Crabby Joes does $4 pints, and yesterday, my 1 can of beer was over $10 which costs just over $3 at LCBO. I see and understand theres a good handful of arcade machines set to free mode but I was ready to pay fair price for beer and pay to play. Maybe your rent is stupid expensive because the street is aesthetically pretty but rip off prices steer me away every time and will deter me from returning EVER. I will try again, and hopefully find some modest priced drink but $12 can of cider after a small $1.50 tip is a RIP OFF.

Great place and food, we had 11 of us in our group, and they only sat up to 8(one table), so unfortunately, the only downside was we had to split into 2 smaller groups

Cozy, welcoming place. I like the video games concept but even more so, LOVE the fact that they put in pinball. Nothing can replace pinball. Some of games are even free. Really like the plant based menu. Its big and has plenty of really interesting dishes and not just old standbys. Our food came quickly, it was tasty and really hot. One star is gone for beer prices. They match Oakville and Toronto prices but Hess Village isnt Toronto. Even pubs in downtown Burlington are 15% cheaper for beer. I would come back. Its nostalgic and fun. A tasty experience too.

Went there for drinks and dessert. The dessert was really good. The games were really fun. It was a fun night and good hang out place. Would definitely visit again.

This is a hot eatery and fun too. The atmosphere was great, i took my order to go but cannot wait to go back and try some other scrumptious foods. Had the pizza, the Hawaiian and daughters fav is bruchetta. Let me say ot was soft and so light the toppings were perfect. It was not rushed in anyway and the taste tells the whole story. Yummo. Loved that it was a little different then other pizza s with the pulled pork and not ham which again made. The dish that more special and like I said different. So happy i got to try very affordable too. Even the dip was delish.

Hey there! I highly recommend Moodys for takeout. I used to visit every few weeks because the staff are exceptional, the ambiance is fantastic, and the patio is perfect for summertime. However, my recent experience has been a little disappointing. Although the service is still excellent, the quality of the food has decreased in the past month. Previously, the food was 5-star premium quality, with the pizza ranking in the top 5 in Hamilton. The Brussels sprouts were delicious, and even better when served without bacon. Unfortunately, in the last two weeks, there has been a noticeable drop in the food quality. The pizza crust is chewy, and the Brussels sprouts are no longer appealing, even at half the price. Im curious to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience or if it was just an off night. If youre reading this a month from now, let me know if things have improved. Despite this recent setback, Moodys is still worth a visit for their exceptional service and pleasant atmosphere.

This is tough for me to rate. Their pizza is excellent, very hot and fresh, nice cheese, I recommend the bruschetta. Its not the business fault, but the walk between parking and the business feels a little like run down Hamilton, but slowly on the mend. Service also very friendly and GENUINE, some people are not great at faking pleasantries, but the staff here are very casual, welcoming, and feel authentic. The environment is very casual which is great, prices are not unreasonable, I wish for a gaming place they had room for a few more, but even if you dont play at all its a good place for a casual date or a few friends to have some great pizza. Lots of people reve about their cheese sticks, though we didnt have the appetite this time. If I could give 4.5 stars I would, its almost there for me except for location.

I just received my order and I was so disappointed. The mozzarella sticks were still cold in the middle, the cheese was not melted at all, the fries were cold and greasy along with the batter on your tenders, this was my first time trying your restaurant and it was not cheap!

Went with a group of 4 for a fun girls night out of food and drinks. From the get go the service was terrible. We had a great table on the patio,but it took about 20 mins for anyone to bring us water and menus and the timing just got worse as the night went on. We were only asked once for a drink order, had to go and find napkins and Im pretty sure our server forgot about us and sent someone else out to get our checks and take our payment. The only positives was my pizza was delicious and i was so greatful to have a Gluten-free crust option. It was moderately busy, but could have been worse and it looked like 2 servers were doing a great job while the others were more interested in having conversations behind the bar. Went this weekend for the Achey Breaky Brunch event and had a blast. The chicken and waffle fries was amazing! The staff were friendly and fast. Overall would definitely go for more events at this location.

As far as the arcade experience goes 3 stars ( OLD , worn out machines , except for 1) video games beat to hell ... Would / could do much better if they upgraded machines , food was good , waitress was FANTASTIC, very nice young lady , took good care of us .. Overall an ok place, but if youre a Silver ball seeker, while better than nothing , get ready for a blast from the past

Dined at Moodys tonight and was dissatisfied with the food. Ordered a bunch of items to share: Brussel Sprouts (5/5), Mozza Sticks (3/5), Hawaiian Pizza (2/5), Nashville Tendies (3/5). The god looked amazing but when we ate it all of us were a little bit shocked at how we didn t love any of it (except the Brussels). Mozza Sticks: super cool to try, but after one bite it got cold because they re so big, and ended up just being a big brick of cheese. Glad I tried them but won t get them again. Pizza: didn t like the pizza at all. Something was off - there want much flavour and could ve been more cooked. All of us tried it and agreed we didn t like it. Tendies: the Nashville Tendies weren t very hot. They were more sweet. The pickles it came with were just cucumbers . I swear not pickles at all. But the waffle fries were amazing. Overall, not happy with the food. We will probably not come back. We also couldn t split the items we shared because of the system so we had to have one person pay it all then we do the math manually and e-transfer them. The server was nice, and was the best part of our visit!

Havent had their food but Im sure its good. Seems to be a favorite amongst students. Good vibes and they have an old school arcade upstairs. You have to bring quarters to play! Drinks did take kinda long to bring and they were brought in weird timings. Only thing that was prompt was the water. Cant really complain though. If I was younger I would love this place. But for me it was a good experience while I was visiting Hamilton.

Great pizza and atmosphere

I came here for a birthday dinner, we were a larger group (15) sat upstairs across from the bar. Not sure if the bartender was new but he was all over the place. We weren t greeted by anyone and weren t told to order drinks and our food at the bar until much later. Once we did, the food coming out was very disorganized, the workers did not know which foods belonged to who so people got the wrong orders and we had been waiting a long time to order and then again long time waiting for the food to come out so people just ended up eating whatever was given to them even if it was wrong. I ordered the Big Peppi pizza as a small, I got someone else s order that was a large. There was no chili flakes on the pizza so it was extremely sweet. I asked for some chili flakes and for garlic dip and never got either of those. Overall I wouldn t come back here again. Maybe at a table with an actual server instead of having the bartender who stayed behind the bar the whole time and didn t come to our table. We got no refills on water and he rarely came to check on us. A lot of their arcade games were also out of service so that limited how much we could actually play. Parking: This is located down an alley way next to other restaurants so there is no parking directly there, you ll need to look for paid parking near by and walk there. Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible. Lots of stairs.

Last night, my wife and I had a delightful evening as we ventured out to Moodys for the first time. We were genuinely captivated by the ambiance and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner on Moodys patio. The Hamilton Hawaiian pizza has claimed the top spot as my new personal favourite! Additionally, we had the pleasure of encountering Kyann, who provided us with exceptional service and made our experience even more enjoyable. Kyanns pleasant demeanour and attentiveness were truly appreciated.

Great place to take kids for a party. They have video and pinball machines upstairs for entertainment. The video games are free pinball anywhere from .50 to 1.00.

Went for a work dinner. Unfortunately our group was split up between separate tables, but overall the food was good. The tables on the other hand were sticky and felt kinda gross. A few games were free, but others cost. Staff was great though.

The food is OK. If you dont order alcohol, dont expect a waitress to come back after they bring your food. Super pricy too...$80 for a burger and fries, ice tea, loaded bread sticks and 1 virgin cocktail. Wow. Ive been twice now and the service is the same..oh and please clean your booths, sticky stuff is gross.

We had amazing service and phenomenal food! The vibe of Moodys is fun and welcoming. We had a picky eater in our group who is still raving about the food! (This never happens, haha) Also love love love the plant based menu. So many yummy options. The arcade games are so fun and add to the whole experience. We cant wait to come back!

Super funky bar with arcades and good food. Worked perfect for our family- our son could play some arcades while we waited for food and enjoyed some local craft beer. Stopped in for something to eat (got to play some cool classic arcade games while waiting -20mins for some grub) during a visit to Hess Village. Fairly busy Saturday night during frosh week, in between bar hopping -about 12:45am. We had a (7pc small) hot wings (good flavour), fries (terrible), and Brussel sprouts (5 sprouts, with a delicious taste), and a bottle of water, came in a cute bottle (cool, refreshing, but ultimately just regular water i believe). SMALL portions were surprising, and the entire meal came to almost $55 (incl.tax). Wow! Also spent $5 on arcade games while waiting for a handful of dried out french fries. The games and Brussel sprouts were the best part. The vibe and servers were so very super nice. I guess you trade the good for the bad here. Was fun and definitely worth a try. I would enjoy going back during the day and knowing more about whats also amazing on the menu. ...because its a really fun, comfortable vibe and they did a decent job considering the time of night. Plus++ =serving water from a jug/bottle. Im on the hunt for a super cute, makes the water tastier type stout bottle or jug!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! ordered over $100 Food and Drinks on their upper floor. We ordered everything separately one by one and it was a self serve. Waitress were expecting Tips on each Receipt and at some point they came and asked for TIP on the face - am like who does that. firstly give us the good service, when we walked in no one Greeted no one showed gratitude. We came there for having a nice evening Thanks for this entertainment never going back again. No judgment should be taken before hand, we were tipping good amount at last but they deserve the least.

First interaction with the bartender was good. Second one, she was to busy talking to her friends. She helped but while she continued the other conversation like I wasnt even there. Went to the arcade upstairs. Games are old and not well taken care of. A bit dark and dingy up there.

Good service, great patio, however I only came for the pasta, just to find out they took it off the menu years ago. They only have chicken tenders and sandwiches. Very very disappointed, I suggest taking down photos of food you don t offer anymore!

We gathered there for Halloween. Ambience was good. Ordered waffle fries and Pizza. It was okay. Wont say great.

The staff was great but the food was subpar and for the money go somewhere else

**UPDATED** 2. Heres an update: unfortunately, service and food quality had fallen substantially. We had taken our friends here for a good time, but it had been spoiled by the undercooked pizza and a server trying to argue about it. This isnt the first time we had noticed service falling short, whether its them forgetting an order or bringing us something we hadnt order lol. Its obvious the staff is indulging in too much alcohol and it should be addressed by the management. Not to mention, most of their arcades arent even working. There is still potential, but it needs these issues addressed before I can recommend it to anyone or return for continued business. Regards. 1. Great place to hang out and have a beer. Love the design of the interior They have specials 9pm to 11pm Sunday to Thursday. They should advertise on the sidewalk about their $8 mini pitchers. Excellent price point.

My group of friends and I wanted to check out Moodys as an arcade bar. It was definitely more bar than arcade. The food was excellent, but most of the games we tried were either broken or on their way to being broken.

Calling it an arcade is a stretch. The games are tired, and most of them had faults. The pinball games were not free and were in an absolute disgraceful state. Staff were nice and friendly.

Cool bar. Had authentic coin arcade machines. Good atmosphere. But, food wasnt great. Pizza was doughy. Also, service sucked. We waited a while before getting anything even after ordering twice. It was obvious our server was stoned, and then was hostile and all but accused us of stealing a drink.

I spent a good 30 to 40 minutes browsing google maps for somewhere to eat and had it narrowed down to Italian food. I chose Moodys as they had the tastiest and most reasonably priced looking menu, and Im so glad I chose them. The atmosphere was fun, theres pink salt lamps on every table - I made the joke that it was quite Mooody, so very fitting to the name. I called ahead to check if there were tables and there were two at the time of calling. By the time we arrived more had opened up - they let us pick wherever. We got there between 7:30 and 8, and we were done by 9. There was trivia upstairs - would be fun to check that out another day. Wait staff was incredibly friendly and timely. The beer that we ordered originally had to have its keg replaced, and we decided not to trouble our waiter with replacing it. They were so kind and apologetic about it (we didnt mind anyway), and they brought over a very good alternative. I had one of the salads (dont remember the name, but its the one with sourdough bites, arugula, cucumber, tomato, etc. Definitely recommend), and added the chicken tenders to it. I was pleasantly surprised by the dilly taste of the chicken tenders (2 decent sized pieces - add on for around $8) and the breading on them (flour based) was SO good - lightly crispy, flavourful. The meat itself was perfectly cooked, nice and juicy. My date had the Rose City pizza and it was absolutely delicious! I personally dont like pepperoni, but it was added on in thin little curls which made it quite tasty compared to the typical thin rounds. Perfectly crispy and airy crust, loads of stretchy cheese, and a variety of fresh veggies. Definitely recommend this dish! We both left satisfied and full. The one thing that was weird was that we had to walk past the prep/chefs/serving(?) area to get to the bathroom. Quite small bathroom, but has two stalls. Vegetarian options: Great salads available. No skimping out on portion size or quality of ingredients. Vegetarian pizza available. Holiday drink menu included fresh eggnog. Vegetarian option was available for this. Parking: As with much of downtown Hamilton, parking is a pain to find. This is a place best bussed or walked to - its a lovely walk within Hess Village though. Surrounded by other quaint and delightful looking restaurants, and pretty street lights and hanging lights. Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible. In Hess Village with stairs to the door and small hallway to small bathroom.

Accommodated our party of 14 before Toronto Rock game! Service was quick and friendly. Arcade games are a nice touch for younger family members (teenagers loved it), and food was tasssssty across the board! Thank you! See you next year!

Fun little spot. Games currently on free play and drinks are a reasonable price. I go back every few weeks for a thing to do. Beware the university students when school is in session.

Worst service ever!!! I dont know if the one who served us was temporary serving or covering cause she cant be real.15 minutes to wait for her to take our order (only us and another table in restaurant), then she went outside across street for a smoke and finally she got us the bill before finishing our meal.

Love the feel of this place! My favourite is the big mac pizza and the arcade style games you can play upstairs!

Unique pizza and pasta in Hess village. Can t wait to eat on their patio again. We ve tried here numerous times with our favs being the enormous mozza sticks, burger, and The big Peppi pizza, so good, honey and pepperoni- it works somehow! We order these by delivery on the regular! I ve also tried their Big Mac pizza cause I had to and it was a wonder

Great food, nice patio on a no car street, so its not crazy loud if you actually like talking to the person onbthe opposite side of the table. But seriously, service=good, apps=good, pizza=good ( good crust as well). Didnt try the arcade games tho. Probably better to do that if you are just going for drinks. I did find their gin and tonic a bit sweet though....

I was in on sept 8 and loved it so much, I returned with my adult kids on sept 11. I love the atmosphere, the food is amazing, mojitos are and the staff are awesome! I also wanna add that the music selection in Sunday was perfect! Great vibe Will be back

Nice delivery guy. Brought food all of the way to room. Pizza comparable to Dominos or Papa Johns, my husband said worse. The meatballs in the ziti was descent. Greek Salads dressing pretty bland. Food filled us up, but nothing to brag about.

Incredibly disrespectful. I sat at a neighbouring table to four young girls that went out to dinner (most likely first years) their waitress was beyond disrespectful and it hurt to watch(short blonde). Judged those poor girls and practically made fun of them and their orders all night. The amount of condescending comments I heard come out of her mouth was absurd. I understand they were underage but that was no way to treat customers:(

Came here to check out the arcade and was not disappointed. They have a good selection of memorable arcade games from the 90s. The foosball table is in great condition too. Upon arriving we were pleasantly greated. The wait staff was attentive and prompt with drinks and food. Loved the cosy atmosphere

I go to the arcade bar and its one of my favourite places in Hamilton. Love the vibe, the bar staff are friendly. Good old classic arcade games and pinball machines.
