An authentic Thai dining experience
We had a great time here, the food, the service, the atmosphere - everything was amazing. Our server was incredibly kind and went above and beyond. This is hands down the based Thai food we’ve had in this city, and it’s already one of our favourite restaurants all around! We will definitely return and bring our friends and family next time.
I don't like to review locally unless I've tried a place at least three times but Pin Toh won me over in just two BITES!! We ate in and had it delivered and both meals were spectacular. Other than some gristle on a beef dish each bite was better than the last & there wasn't a disappointment on the menu. Add to that a wonderful server who was attentive, funny and informative (wish I could remember a name) and this is our new go to for Asian food in downtown Hamilton! NOTE: this restaurant is now at 21 John St N in Hamilton. I know, somehow the Hammer's food scene got even better!
Tom yum was great! Spicy, just how I like it. Crispy pork belly was also a hit! Thai tea was good as well. Large portions, great variety in the menu. It was quite good.
Came in with a friend for her birthday and everything was perfect! Great atmosphere, awesome service, and amazing food. Everything was served to us hot, fresh, and delicious. We had the matabak to share, which was very flavourful and fresh, she had the khao soi with very tender beef and I had the massaman curry with chicken. Both were so flavourful and filling. We also had the Thai tamarind cocktail (I can’t remember the name) that was refreshing and unique! We had a thai iced tea to share as well, which was some of the best we’ve had. Overall, such an amazing experience, I’ll definitely be back.
Incredible thai food, our server (whose name I forgot to grab) was very kind and offered their own suggestions as it was our first time here. I ended up getting the Khao Soi, which was pretty good, although I did find myself wishing I listened to the server and got the pad thai because it looked absolutely incredible
I’ve eaten here three times so far and each time has been absolutely phenomenal!!! Food is really quick to come out and tastes amazing, really large portions as well, enough to fill two people. The ambience is really great, I love the music and the decor. Not to mention the servers are also really attentive and super sweet. Truly I recommend this restaurant to just about anyone.
Great Thai spot in downtown Hamilton! We ordered the Pad Thai and Pad Kra Pao (with beef), and both dishes tasted authentic with generous portions—even for the lunch menu. The spring rolls were a pleasant surprise, arriving hot and crispy. Highly recommend!
Stopped by for lunch with a friend recently for the first time - what a great spot! I had the chef’s style Pad Thai which was loaded up, a hugeeee portion, and very delicious. Will definitely be back!
very delicious Always loved the food and their service A must try Thai restaurant in Hamilton, chef is amazing!
Ordered spring rolls and Pad Prik Keng for pickup, walked through 15 minutes of snowfall and it was still warm and fresh when I got home. Will be ordering takeout from here again! The pork belly was so tasty.
I absolutely love pad Thai and have tried many restaurants. The chef pad Thai from Pintoh is probably the best I ve ever had! I have ordered it multiple times now and it never disappoints. Great serving size and amazing flavours that s not too spicy or overly saucy. I never really leave reviews for restaurants but I had to share how much I love it!
The food is well seasoned...fresh...im super excited to bring my whole family for a dinner soon
Best pad that Ive had in a long time! Large portions for a great price. Will definitely be back.
Amazing quality and quality in the food presented. I look forward for to returning for professionalism and family oriented atmosphere. Only critic would be the temperature of the restaurant, the door creates quite the draft :c Overall worth visiting with a cozy sweater
Pintoh is my go to Uber eats order. So far I ve had the chef pad thai, pad prik keng w/ pork belly and pad si ew w/shrimp or chicken. Everything has been incredible. Large portions, always arrives hot. I would recommend to anyone craving Thai food! Can t wait to have the opportunity to dine in. I ll continue to be a returning customer!
My team came here before our game and despite being a larger table with people arriving late they did so well at accommodating us and continuing to attend to everyone and our varying needs. I love the food here and usually don t dine in - but it enhanced the taste - vibes here are awesome! Vegetarian options: Panang Curry with tofu
Food was subpar most of the way through and we ordered a bunch of dishes. After paying 180$ we got kicked out without being asked for dessert or anything. Im not a usual complainer but just go to Saigon House and enjoy your food without the weird pretensious vibe. Also, they charged 5$ to fry pork. If not you just get it boiled. Lazy
Really tasty Thai food, good service and reasonable prices.
Stumbled upon this spot and really glad I did. While the decor and atmosphere does attract the hipster crowd, the food is unpretentious and hits the spot. Highly recommend the Khao Soi with the braised beef and the pork belly lettuce platter if you want something fresh. All the meat across dishes were consistently tender and flavourful. The star, however, was the chicken satay- I have never tasted chicken that absolutely melted in my mouth. Took off a star because I would have appreciated more spice in every dish and a peanut dipping sauce with the pork belly lettuce platter, but that does not take away from the food at all. At its core, simple but well balanced fares served in an interesting and contrasted atmosphere. Also, service team was absolutely lovely.
The chef makes a mean Pad Thai and I mean the best in Hamilton by FAR.
I rarely make reviews but I can honestly say the food I had for dinner was inedible. The pad Thai had a weird sour flavour and included broccoli which was strange. I also had the pad kee mao which was slightly better but still not good. And was mostly carrot, I didn t see very much (if any) of the basil or peppers. Avoid at all costs.
One of our go to Thai spots! We especially love the Panang curry and padkee mao
Poor service by waitresses
Solid Thai restaurant. Go here. Do it.
I can only speak to the Crispy Thai Rolls and Pad Thai, bu theyre delicious! Fresh, flavourable, and good portions. Im a frequent orderer of both.
Service was great (Bridgette was awesome) but food was a letdown. Ordered the pad Thai and it was really bland. That surprised me because I remember it being really flavourful months ago when I first tried it. Wife ordered the Pad see ew - more flavourful than the pad thai but noticeably had way more noodles versus meat/veggies.
Really good food, excellent service. Good vegetarian options. Vegetarian options: Lots of choices Food : 5/5 |
Service was bad. I felt it like trying to pushing us leave. Foods were good
Best thai place in Hamilton
Got the Tom yum soup , you guys charge an extra 2 dollars for shrimp but only add 2 so it s one dollar a shrimp total rip off
Came here during lunchtime and ordered lunch special PadThai. Food was delicious and portions were good size for a lunch menu. Our server was pleasant and I really like how they did interior of this restaurant. Planning to come back again.
Excellent Thai restaurant, very flavorful and intense use of authentic spices. Massaman curry with braised beef is a must try!
Place was mediocre at best, was told it rivals thai restaurants in Toronto but far from it, closer to Thai Express. Restaurant has very loud music for no reason, couldn t really hear the people across the table from me even though it wasn t very busy. Pad Thai was very wet and too saucy, pool of sauce at the bottom of the plate, dry chicken, lacked the complex sour flavours and tasted like watered down ketchup. Khao Soi was good but lacked the richness in the broth other restaurants have. Pad Si Ew, chicken was dry, vegetables they gave the worst parts and it was very undercooked, noodles lacked the smokey flavour from being cooked in a wok at high heat. Good service, but thats about it. Would pass.
There were many dishes that can be made vegan. If you like Thai food, then this is definitely good - however, I just didnt think it was overwhelming. One weird thing about this place is that I had to ask for chopsticks - Ive never done this before in an Asian establishment! Anyways, the food was super filling and the portions were large. Unfortunately, there is no cash discount. Vegetarian options: Many dishes can be made vegan
I ordered the chefs pad Thai and found it to be just ok. In the description it said included shrimp and was pretty disappointed to find exactly two piece of shrimp. I also tried the panang curry. It was good but definitely sweeter than I preferred.
The takeout packaging is inadequate. All my food was placed in a single brown bag, causing everything to spill and get squished.
Nice place we had a good time. The food is good.
Food and drinks are always spot on and they are always very friendly and helpful. Vibes are immaculate. Recommend Massam Curry and the Pad Prik Kang with pork belly, best pork belly youll ever have.
Visited Pintoh with a friend for dinner and we were very impressed. We ordered the pad thai and the pad see ew and found the food to be so flavorful and well seasoned. We couldnt stop eating the pad see ew, it was so delicious. Ended the night with mango sticky rice which was perfect, not too sweet but just the right amount of sweetness. The place is smaller so it can get pretty loud but I would definitely go back. My friend has been to many Thai food places in the GTA and she says Pintoh is definitely at the top. Would recommend.
Absolutely the only place to get fresh rolls & pad Thai in the city, hands down.
Amazing food! I ordered the panaang Curry and it was AMAZING. I also had the thai iced coffee which was delicious. Great prices and great service! Cant wait to come again.
Increidble food - very authentic and many dishes can be accommodated to be gluten free without sacrificing any flavour. The service was beyond impeccable - love eating here!
Massaman curry and green curry were both just okay. Flavours were muted. Tried this place again except with the Khao Soi and Kengs nuts. Everything was decent but not outstanding especially given the price and portions.
Delicious food! Good service! Price is reasonable. You must make reservation ahead. They are always busy. Its a shame they dont have enough tables plus I find restaurant a bit dark and dated. Other than that everythings perfect.
The food is tasty, I love the papaya salad!! The drinks are the best, to many infusions, I love it!
I absolutely love going to Pintoh. I have brought most of my friends here, if not all. My favourites are the fresh shrimp rolls, pad sew ew and pad thai. The portions are generous. If you go on a Monday, there is half priced apps if you buy wny drink.
Came here on a Sunday night. It says reservations are required, but there were plenty of open seats. I ordered a green curry and a thai iced tea. The food arrived pretty quickly and the servers were nice. However the main complaint I have is there was an extremely foul smell coming from the food when the food arrived. I think it was coming from the bamboo shoots, and its possible that it was rotten, so I felt quite uncomfortable eating my meal. The thai iced tea was very sweet and mostly just tasted like condensed milk. It tastes like the teas you may get from a bubble tea shop when you order their thai iced teas.
Pad Thai was lacking in flavor but Tom yum soup was really good. Wish the soup was a bigger portion though
I absolutely love this place! Excellent for nearly any occasion you may want to enjoy great food in a nice venue
The server here was INCREDIBLY rude to us the minute we walked in. We were three girls celebrating a birthday and the server with the ginger hair was so unwelcoming we walked out without ordering anything. There were several empty tables but she refused to seat us there because those were reserved - fine. We wait around for our orders to be taken for quite some time to the point where we had to go and ask her, so while we wait we eat a bite of our friends birthday cake, this server then comes around immediately and tells us we can t have outside food, we mention again that this is our friend s birthday which typically restaurants accommodate. Not sure why it even matters here since there were 3 flies buzzing around which is a much more serious hygiene issue. Her tone and behaviour were such a turn off when she came to us that we decided to immediately leave and not ruin a nice birthday outing even further. So unwelcoming, so negative- there are multiple reviews on here about this server too which we should ve noticed. We are patient people and we ve never had to do this anywhere else in our lives. I understand everyone has bad days but there s no reason to take it out on others.
The food was very yummy. We ordered the Geang Ped and the flavours of the coconut milk were so good. However, we did not know that it was going to be spicy and it was not indicated on the menu. They were happy to make it less spicy by adding more coconut milk, which made it slightly better, but still hard to deal with. We asked for a glass of milk, whether it would cost extra and if so how much, to which the server said she would figure something out. As she did not tell us the price, we figured it would be charged at no cost since we weren t aware of its spice. It was only at the end when we realized that the glass of milk was $5. Had we known that it would have cost that much for a glass of milk, we may have opted for the Thai Milk Tea instead. Our friend ordered the Khao Soi and swapped the sour pork with shrimp and added tofu. Again, she was not aware of how much the price increase would be as the server did not explain beforehand. We understand that this server had a lot of customers to deal with as we were a large group, but the lack of transparency left us dissatisfied with their service.
Incredibly disappointed with our visit. My wife and I came to the restaurant in the hopes of a nice dinner, but from the moment we walked in the staff was incredibly rude. We do not recommend and overall It was a very uncomfortable experience.
Love this place. The food (green curry chicken, pad Thai, massaman curry, spring rolls, mango salad and fresh wraps) were all excellent. It rivals Bangkok Spoon in Dundas! The staff were amazingly warm and attentive and their suggestions were perfect.
I love it here. Food and drinks always hit the spot. The music is always great. It rivals Pai in Toronto which is on the Michelin recommendation list.
FANTASTIC food! Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Fell in love with their shrimp chips and peanut sauce. Amazing curry and fresh rolls! Food : 5/5
Amazing Thai food, the tom yum soup and pad see ew may have been the finest I ve tasted anywhere. Prices are also quite reasonable for the quality on offer. One thing I would advise is if you are interested in the satay to buy multiple orders as each one is small by itself.
Excellent food! We got the chicken khao soi and minced pork pad kra pao. We loved the Thai tea as well!
Omg this restaurant is an absolute gem! Authentic thai food!! yummmm!
Was visiting Hamilton for the day and came across this gem via IG....cute spot, great service and the food was awesome
I have no words. Just pure bliss.
Very friendly personable staff and the food was excellent. Lots of flavor and good portion sizes.
We ve had their food a few times via delivery and tonight was our first time dining in at the restaurant and it was a great experience. From the delicious food, great service, nice space and the solid playlist playing in the background. We had the mango salad, panang curry with chicken (upgraded to coconut rice) and khao soi with beef. All of it was packed with flavour and really good. Only thing I d say, maybe cause I was hungry, is the portion size of the coconut rice. But that s really minor.
This is the ONLY Thai restaurant in Hamilton. I ve long awaited to try PinToh, and my first experience was with takeout. Even with it being take out it blows every other Thai place out of the water. So many good dishes you wouldn t normally find at other establishments. Can t wait to dine again in person. I particularly loved the Moo Pla Lah dish- so much flavour and veggies were fresh.
delicious food and large lunch portions. Many items can be made vegan. I enjoyed my BEE FFS cocktail. I will be back to try their other menu items. Vegetarian options: Many options can be made vegan.
I really wanted to like this place, maybe the takeout experience is vastly different over dine-in. I ordered takeout for the Gai Yang - Grilled Chicken which was very average at best, its literally half a grilled chicken thigh for 10$. Panang Red curry broth (20$) itself was good but the excessive use of the Green Beans and rubbery well-done beef was underwelming. It was like eating rubber gloves. Considering the reviews and pictures, I dont really think I can recommend this place. Pretty disappointed and I will continue to go to Bangkok Spoon Deluxe in Dundas instead.
We hosted our rehearsal dinner here as it is one of our fave restaurants in Hamilton. The staff went way above and beyond to make it an amazing experience. Everyone raved about the food and drinks which were amazing as always. Thank you so much Mary, Jaz and all the staff!! Vegetarian options: Great veg options Dietary restrictions: Lots of GF options
Food looks, smells and tastes great. I ordered the chefs pad Thai made vegan and the fresh rolls. Service was good, but I came in expecting to pay the prices I saw on the takeout menu online. When I came in person I was charged a different price. The server was confused but did offer to take $2.00 off the bill. I felt bad like maybe I got it wrong so I denied it but I checked again and there s definitely a different price on the menu than what I was charged in person. They need to update the website as soon as possible but it s not a great feeling when you expect one price and then are charged another. I ll be back to try more options in the future and hopefully this doesn t happen again. Vegetarian options: Good amount of vegan options
Ordered online and received a ready text, when I arrived I still had to wait 45 minutes just to receive an order of Pad Thai. Terrible experience, do not recommend ordering online from this place.
Great pad thai. Pad see ew was disconcertingly maple flavoured, weird. Front desk staff was weirdly rude about our request for hot sauce, but at other times was extremely polite. Wonderful interior. Vegetarian options: vegetarian options
Amazing hidden gem!! Loved the ambience and feel of this place. It was intimate and good vibes. Servers were such a treat and the food was very delicious and a hefty serving! Will definitely be giong back when in area again! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian option! Dietary restrictions: Server was well versed on menu and vegan/vegetarian options.
Food is fantastic
Do not order from uber eats they missing my rice and do not give any spoons and straws
Best Pad Thai Ive ever had! Generous shrimp, chicken, tofu and egg and the thin rice noodles were really nice and great value for money ($20)! Was delivery, so can t comment on the atmosphere, but will definitely go dine in person sometime! Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free
Food and drinks were both amazing!
Outstanding. Will definitely go back!
Outstanding flavors and unique dishes. Highly recommend.
Pintoh is the best!! Pad kra prow crispy pork belly and Moo pla ra are my favorite! All dishes Taste authentic and reasonable price! Food : 5/5
The food and service were excellent. The only negative was that we were seated by the door, and it was very cold every time the door opened. We put jackets on. Food and service made up for this.
Ordered the fresh rolls and pad see ew. The fresh rolls were $9 for 2 rice paper rolls made of lettuce, a slice of bell pepper, and a slice of cucumber with a curry peanut sauce. Not worth it for the price. The pad see ew tastes pretty good and came with a good amount of veggies, but was extremely oily - to the point where there was a pool of oil at the bottom of my takeout container when I finished eating.
Today im not here to simply leave a review about the food, because you would have to be lacking all sense to question the flavour and array of options at this spectacular addition to culinary delights in Hamilton. Lets face it, if you want the best Thai food ever you come to Pintoh! I could talk about the cool vibe that you feel when you enter and theres something about walking through the velvet curtains that makes you think youre entering a speak easy, but no thats not the reason Im writing this review either. I wanted to leave the readers of this review and the restaurant my gratitude for their accommodating and unrelenting commitment to excellence. Recently I discovered that I cant handle spice (like at all) and im still adjusting to that. I ordered the Panang Curry and when it came it was too spicy for me to handle (note: it isnt very spicey to begin with). I let the staff know and explained my issue and they immediately let me order something else. Thank you for how quickly you responded, Im so sorry I caused this inconvenience and it was my own silly fault. But you handled it swiftly and with an air of professionalism that left me wanting to give them the biggest shout out possible. If I was a millionaire this is where I would have left the staff a ginormous tip. Thank you Pintoh!!!
Absolutely delicious!!!!
Suchhhhhh amazing Thai food. We forgot to take all photos of the food cause we dug in so quickly haha Fav dishes Roti appetizer, skewers shrimp and chick, roti entree, fried whole fish and honestly everything else!
Been going to this place since it was open in Burlington and was so happy to know that they open in Hamilton. Best Thai food I had so far in Canada. Chef style Pad Thai is the best. Had it so many times. PAD SI EW is my second option. Going to to this place makes my day
Amazing food and vibey atmosphere!
What a pleasant surprise late on a Friday night. I am glad that we went in to check that they were open as the sign in the window said they closed at 9. Right away the server (Bridgette) made sure we had a table and served us promptly. She was very friendly and quick. The food (pad thai and curry) was incredible!!! We will definitely be back as we have been struggling to find great quality Thai food in this area. This place is a gem!
So good!
Ordered take away.Wings and Tom yum soup. Recieved only 4 wings Too less for $12. Also the soup quantity was minimal amd too oily. Would never recommend this place. Food : 1/5
The best authentic thai food you can find!!!!
Food was just excellent, flavorful, refine and pricing was right.
I came here to taste Thai food coz I m really craving. The waitress here is so rude.. from the moment me and my wife arrived here is very unwelcoming. Surely that person doesn t have any idea of what thai culture is about. Thai people are well known for their politeness and hospitality. Thai people smiles but the waitress here speaks rudely even I asked her with politeness if I can order. I know we came at 12 noon and maybe they re just starting to open but at least try to be welcoming. It s a descent restaurant but its not authentic thai dish taste. I hope Chef Keng will personally prepares the food coz I find the Cha Nom Yen too sweet. Normally Thai people will ask you about the level of sweetness a customer prefers. Thai Som Tham Thai taste is not balanced with sour, sweetness and spicy. Laab Mu is Ok (I recommend it here) .. Khao soi is also ok here but its far from Lan Na Taste. Pad Krapao Mu doesnt really taste authentic at all I hope when I came back here I can really taste thai food prepared by Thai Chef (So please Chef Keng prepare a food for us 555)
I popped in here for a quick lunch while I was downtown. Boy am I sure glad, its a Gem. Amazing flavors, unique menu and cool vibes
I have been here several times and always enjoy the food Penang curry, mango salad, and Khao soi are all amazing. Cocktails are also great. Will be back!
Amazing flavors and service! highly recommended!!!
Stopped in for lunch with a friend. The Pad Si Ew was very good. The portion was healthy. My friend had the chef s suggestion - Pad Thai and needed a container for the rest. I ll be coming back for business lunches more often.
I ordered the chicken wing by mistake and got grilled chicken (they said they could change it for us later). Then the pork in pad prik keng was cold!!
Fabulous hidden gem of Thai cuisine in Hamilton. Of the few Thai restaurants that I have visited, this is top 1 for curry dishes. Ordered for dine in >green curry with chicken/ shrimp and Thai iced tea. Food on the plate was colorful! Enjoyed the curry sauce . Love coconut milk. Taste buds very happy. The chicken and shrimp tender. The vegetables-carrots, bamboo shoots, broccoli etc cooked perfectly. The host/owner was very accommodating and attentive to customers. There are a few tables for dining. Definitely returning to try other items on their menu. Parking: Free 2 hour parking in downtown Hamilton this month due to holiday season.
I was so sad when PinToh moved from Burlington to Hamilton. But I must say, I am loving the new restaurant. The atmosphere is more contemporary with a more industrial feel than the original, more traditional look they had in Burlington but it is very inviting and relaxed. Great service. The food is amazing as always. The stand out for me was the new cocktail menu. Pintoh definitely will be staying on my list of recommendations for great Thai food.
I visited with my husband for a late lunch after he picked the place at random. We were both very happy with the food and service. As someone who s from Bangkok, I m extremely grateful for such authentic taste and for the hospitality we received. You guys make us want to consider moving closer just to be around such good food. I had a craving for a good plate of somtum and got it pinto style as that is what I grew up eating. Got my husband to try Khao Soi for the first time and I had never seen him so committed to finishing every last drop of his food before. We both can t wait to come back to try more items on the menu.
Pintoh in Hamilton is a gem that serves up some of the best Thai cuisine I ve had. The Fried Fish, Green Curry, and Spring Rolls were standouts in a menu full of tempting options. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. Five stars well deserved!
By far the best pad Thai I ve ever had. I could literally drink the peanut sauce that came with the fresh rolls. Next time I go I ll be more adventurous and try something I m unfamiliar with. I wish the menu better explained the dishes because I had to google almost everything as I m not familiar with Thai cuisine to that extent. Ordered a espresso martini and it was not good. The girl working was struggling with the espresso machine and apologize and remade the drink without us even saying anything and let us have both without any extra charge but the second one was worse lol no hard feelings would definitely still come again and I appreciated her service in attempting to correct the error.
We can t say enough about our experience tonight! Best Thai food since our trip to Thailand last summer. Mondays there is a deal on pints and 50% off appetizers. We loved everything we ordered especially the mango sticky rice at the end! Parking: Free street parking nearby
The server was a pleasant one and I really like the place. We had ordered the curry and pad Thai and both were very flavourful but extremely sweet. The sweetness just hits you first than comes the flavour. I wish they use a little less sugar in their food.
Ordered pad Thai and the Tom Yum soup soup for take-out. Wow! Both items were super delicious and great portion size. Cannot wait to try other items on the menu.
What a find in the hammer! Wonderful flavours and ample portions. Singha on tap!
Great to have some tasty thai food back in the area. Service was great. Food was great. Will be back for sure!
Dietary restrictions: First time we tried this restaurant and it was an excellent meal. We had a very friendly and knowledgeable server Sanuki. Great green curry! Amazing appetizers. They have some very unique dishes on the menu but all the staples were great, too. We are thrilled to have good Thai food in the neighborhood! And the prices are great, as well! We will certainly be back!
Loved this small, cool restaurant. Service was quick and courteous, it was perfect actually. I had really looked forward to trying this place since I heard they were opening at this location. The food was great! Started with the Fresh Rolls with added Shrimp and Chicken Skewers with a fantastic peanut dipping sauce. Then we shared the Pad Slew with Beef and Keng s Nuts (hold the cashews) came with steamed rice) I feel the pictures speak for themselves. Everything was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!
Went for a tryout with my friend after a day of work, and definitely got relaxed and chilled out! Love the dessert coconut ice cream, I mean, 3 balls just for 7 dollars!! And they taste like a summer breeze on the Phuket Island. It s also interesting that I ordered a jasmine tea with our server having her beautiful name as Jasmine, too. Btw she is very hearty and nice!
Lovely Thai food. We are vegetarians so we had selected options to choose from. Some dishes were customized to be made vegetarian (without egg n meat n fish). We stayed away from all fried dishes due to cross contamination. Red curry and pad Thai n Thai Tea were really lovely. Food
This place is the best! The food is always so flavourful. If you want authentic Thai food without leaving Hamilton, this is the only spot. If I could put 6 stars I would!
Great little Thai place! The portion size was huuuge and food slapped so hard. Spice level is very mild by default so I believe you d have to ask if you want a bit of kick. Cozy atmosphere, friendly servers, and chill music! Not pictured but the shrimp and chicken satay skewers were also
Had a lovely plant-based meal here in May 2023 with a good variety of menu options. Pad Kee Mao was delicious with large rice noodles, al dente real (not frozen) vegetables, and rich flavours.
I ve ordered takeout from here twice now and both times it has been delicious. Super fresh and tasty flavours! I will keep coming back.
Fantastic food. The Satay chicken skewers and Keng nuts dish were great. Would return again to try more.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and creativity of the food
The food tasted very authentic and flavourful . Loved the Khao Soi
Four of us had a wonderful lunch today. Fast friendly service. Great food. We ll be back!
PinToh has the BEST pad-thai noodles in Hamilton, period.
Food was unbelievably good. Vegan friendly.
Amazing Thai restaurant, great atmosphere.
Love everything about this place! Reserved a table for 3 to meet some new friends and absolutely loved the food! The service was incredibly friendly and the waitress really helped us navigate our food, dietary restrictions and preferences. We ordered the Penang curry, pad Thai and pad kee mao (excuse my spelling)! The portions, taste and quality of food was 10/10! Although I found the Penang curry watery and the green beans a bit hard, the overall taste and quality was definitely worth it! We were also impressed by the ambiance, the lighting was so cute and after it got busy, they turned on a cute rainbow lighting. Will definitely come again! :)
The dine in food is incredible. Ive had the chef pad Thai, Khao Soi and more, it hits the spot every time. The food is flavour full and the chili crisp is delicious, I cant get enough! Their cocktails are also so delicious I cant resist getting one whenever Im there! Their take out food could use some work, I got their pad Thai and Khao Soi and it genuinely tasted like I ordered from a completely different restaurant, dine in is for sure the way to go
Great service
A smaller space than their old location, but everything else is same. Food was delicious, portion sizes good and the server was very attentive. Still one of my all time favorite restaurants. So glad they reopened!
Great food, definitely has a very spicy kick to it. Service was very good, attentive to anything and everything we needed. Will definitely return.
Dining options on a long holiday weekend in downtown Hamilton are, lets just say, severely limited, especially in walking distance from the hotel, on a rainy evening with a toddler in tow. PinToh happened to be a beacon, in a desolate place. Not only was it open and accessible, the food was absolutely delicious, with options for everyone at the table, regardless of age or allergies.
Great taste, fresh ingredients and clean place. Khao soi was a little salty to me. Ill come back next time to try other dishes
Best Thai food Ive had! We had the Gai Yang, Som Tum, Pad Thai, Kengs Nuts, and Thai iced teas- everything was really fresh and flavourful, the meat very tender, and each dish came in large portions. Atmosphere is quaint and relaxed. Our server was very friendly and helpful in answering questions about the menu.
Awesome price for the class of food that you get. Will recommend. Portion is medium. If you are extra extra hungry, recommend getting some starter.
The food tastes good. I miss home. If there is a dishwashing position available, welcome.
The food here is really good, probably the best Thai food in Hamilton. The menu is relatively small but the dishes are well-known and expertly prepared. Portions are quite large, which makes the prices reasonable and their menu clearly delineated which menu items can be made vegan and/or gluten free. Do yourself a favour however, and skip the cocktails. The bartender was not particularly experienced (reading off a menu) and the drinks tasted exactly as you would expect as a result. At $12 each, it s in your best interest to avoid anything mixed behind the bar. Service-wise, we weren t very impressed. I m always leery of saying service was slow because restaurants remain understaffed. There was one server and they had all of the tables. As a result, there were a lot of delays for us in terms of ordering, and the server was off and running before we have even finished asking for what we wanted. Service was also slow because of the booming take-out business. Clearly prioritising take-out, this may be a better spot to order from, rather than to dine-in. Overall, Pintoh is a great restaurant located in the foodie district of Hamilton. It s a small place, but the atmosphere is great with a modern almost industrial twist on Thai decor. As a small restaurant, there is limited seating so reservations are recommended. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options available and clearly indicated on the menu. Dietary restrictions: Vegan and Gluten-free menu items clearly indicated on their menu (the leaf symbol on the online menu refers to items that can be made vegan, not vegetarian). Lots of peanuts in Thai cooking as well as shellfish. Be advised that the risk of cross contamination would be high at any Thai restaurant. Parking: Street parking around where available, free after 6 pm. Paid parking lot within walking distance. Kid-friendliness: No kids menu but no reason kids wouldn t be allowed or couldn t enjoy the food/restaurant. Best Thai food in Hamilton, specifically the Pad Thai :)
Delicious Thai food. I used to go to Burlington to eat from here, happy that they moved but have only had the take out from new location. Extremely rich flavours on all dishes tried - pad see ew, panang curry and khao soi are the stand outs for me.
Amazing food!!! So glad we found this gem! We came for lunch and had a very friendly server and absolutely delicious food! One of the best Thai restaurants we tried in Canada. Really worth checking out.
Great authentic Thai food with fabulous service! We ordered 6 dishes and 2 staters, all dishes were really good, especially the Thai curry dishes. Highly recommended for anyone like Thai food coming or living near Hamilton
Has to be the best Thai food in Hamilton. The green and red curries were delicious! Amazing spice level, sustainable packaging, and very friendly interactions on the phone and in person with employees. If you like Thai food, you have to give this place a try.
Next level authentic Thai food. each dish is distinct from the next. Lovely decor and service too. For a non thai must try drink go for the Good Fortune in a can.
Amazing Thai. Great for dine in and take out. Price is reasonable also.
Amazing Thai food place with nice and friendly service. The staff was very attentive too. Pad thai and kao soi was really great. Som tam was bit spicy for me.
Great khao soy
The food is good. Its a nice little place
I havent eaten in - but we do pintoh regularly for takeout. Incredibly good food - couldnt recommend enough. Pad kra Pao with pork belly is my go to. Food
Pintoh is a must try! Their khao soi will take you back to Chiang Mai and their pad thai is excellent and reminds us so much of Thailand. My only complaint is that their portion sizes are much smaller when you order delivery compared to when you dine-in at the restaurant. But otherwise, highly recommend!
Ive been here a few times and everything on the menu tasted amazing! Would definitely recommend it if you like Thai food!
Well wow and holy cow! I believe there is a magician in the kitchen here! The flavour in the dishes is so very delicious and incredibly tasty! Mario was an awesome server and knew the menu so very well! We will be back and thank you so much for the wonderful atmosphere, exceptional food and overall 6 stars of excellence!
Another unique corner of Hamilton. Why visit a chain restaurant when weve got so many local entrepreneurs taking risks to give us a special dining experience? Great meal, great service, excellent menu and food. Recommend to stray away from the usual and tuck into the chefs specialty dishes.
We visited before the dinner rush so we were the only ones in there but the quality of the food was all the atmosphere I needed! Courteous service, loved the decor and great drinks!
Different experience with my girls. Food was great suited my taste buds. Food
Large work group booked for lunch and we were in, ordered, paid and back in the office two blocks away in our lunch hour. The food is really tasty.
Ordered for delivery and the Pad Thai was delicious. I ordered the chef pad Thai which was supposed to be Spicy but it really wasn t, still really good though!
Delicious! We had the matabak, satay, pad thai and panang curry and everything was very tasty. We are definitely coming back!
Excellent food. The service was ok, but could be improved (plates werent cleared and the table was left very crowded, a dish was forgotten, the wrong dish was brought, etc.), but servers were polite, which was great, the atmosphere is very cool but it felt a bit crowded with those around us. Will be back tho. All in all, a great experience.
Absolutely sensational and full of flavour! Finally spicy food that is spicy and flavourful!
Ordered through Uber Eats and I m incredibly satisfied with the pad Thai and green curry. Very yummy. The best I ve tasted in Hamilton. Looking forward to visiting the restaurant.
We last visited Pintoh when they were in Burlington. It was a great food experience so we decided to finally check out the new Hamilton location! The food was great and everything tasted amazing. I highly recommend everybody to try the som tom salad with papaya and chicken!!
The best Thai in the city!!!
From someone whos been through all the major Thai restaurants in Toronto, I would say I HIGHLY recommend PinToh if youre ever looking for Thai food in Hamilton. It has been quite a journey in discovering what good foods there are in Hamilton, but I am glad to say that this restaurant is perhaps the best Thai food in Hamilton. Atmosphere: Very inviting environment with nice lighting providing an intimate setting for dates or dinners with friends and family. Service: Excellent service, no complaints. Food: We got the fried fish and Pad Thai along with a few of the cocktails. The fried fish is to Die for, the sauce is excellent and the fish is fried to perfection. The value of it is also amazing as well because he gets so much food as well as a large bowl of mango salad along with it. The pad thai also tastes delicious, seasoned and flavored well, unlike some of the sweet pad thai dishes catering to those who have never had Thai in their lives (cough cough Bangkok Spoon). Overall amazing value and flavours, highly recommend this restaurant!
This is my favourite restaurant. Everything on their menu is authentic, delicious, and comes in generous portions. The staff are very friendly and proud of being a part of the restaurant, which creates a very warm and welcoming environment. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine in Hamilton.
The food was amazing. That was the best pad thai I ve ever had. Most places overcook the rice noodles, this was cooked to perfection. The way the noodles had a bite to it! It was nice and chewy. The flavour and the portion was amazing. One portion of their pad thai is good for person plus a little bit to take home to eat later. Personally, I m cautious with Thai cuisine, I love the flavours but for some reason I get migraines whenever I eat it. But I saw that they had Khao Soi I couldn t say no, so I risked it. And I was pleasantly surprised! Now I don t have to go to Toronto to have some bomb Khao Soi!! Their chicken skewer with the super yummy peanut sauce..so good! It was cooked well, and it was so soft and flaky. We also had the crispy spring rolls, the shrimp skewer, the sausage, and the matabak. We tried their Thai iced tea as well! - So if I liked the food so much, why am I giving it a 3/5 stars? The service. I m a server too and so was another person in the group eating with us. I m kind to my fellow food service workers, it gets super rough sometimes. I make sure to always be nice and say thank you a lot. I get it if people are rude or annoying. But I don t see what the issue was. It was Sunday afternoon, we had a group of 7 plus a toddler. Understandably, we didn t have a reservation, so sure I get it might have been frustrating. We were there a little past 3, and there was no tables taken. We were the only ones there. Before seating she mentioned there s a reso for 6. No problem, we were actually out by 5:15. The energy just felt so negative, and as if we weren t welcomed there. At one point, the server was asking if anyone wanted a drink, she got to half the table and sighed as she walked away. She got to the POS and shook her head. After she took orders for the mains, she did have a better energy. I just don t know why my family had to experience that. Especially when we had visitors dining with us, and this was the dining experience we had. - All in all, I d come back. Probably just for takeout though.
I love all the food here , good taste and very good service. I am really picky with the food but here is perfect. I highly recommend coming here!
I can t tell you how good the Pad Thai is! An explosion of flavours in your mouth. It s not too spicy, just the right amount. I believe this is the best pad Thai I ve ever had and Ive tried a ton. The portions are huge so 2 people can easily eat 1 order of pad thai. Parking is limited in this area so keep that in mind.
Thank you, thank you, thank you I travelled to Thailand in 2016 and since then I haven t been able to get the flavours and smells of authentic Thai street food out of my mind. I found your restaurant on Instagram during the pandemic and have been waiting patiently for an opportunity to try your food. 10/10 the best Thai food I ve had outside of Asia - the laab, pad kra pao are amazing. We ll see you soon!
As a Thai person who grew up in Thailand, this is one of the best Thai restaurants in the GTA. I m so glad I have found this place. Highly recommend!
very great pad kra pao moo krob (thai basil pork belly) lovely thai staffs.
The food here is excellent with dishes that are not offered elsewhere in this region. The drink menu could be better, especially the non-alcohol selection. I will definitely come back.
Small portions . This has been favorite go to place for sometime but recently they have lowered the portions. Pad Thai, they put only one prawn and reduced portion of mango salad
Easy 5 stars. Amazing food, cool vibe and excellent service. $10 (fantastic) cocktails on Thursdays!
Excellent mango salad, soups and ginger honey tea. Soul food. Very friendly staff! I cant wait to try more items on the menu!
I ve never dined in the restaurant but I ve ordered take out from here about 5 times, it s the best Thai food in the city hands down. The panang curry is always so rich and delicious, the best I ve tasted!
Best Thai food I have ever had. The flavours were incredible, the cocktails are delish! Great service as well!!
Everything about this place is amazing. The food is the best Thai food Ive ever had. The green curry with shrimp is my favourite and I highly recommend it. The bartender is also amazing. She knows my preferences and makes great recommendations. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top notch!!
One of the best Thai restaurants Ive been! The green curry was absolutely delicious, I think the seasoning for everything I ordered was on the sweeter side, but I still loved it! Wish there could be some potatoes added to the green curry, that could make this dish perfect. The portion of everything was great too.
Finally. Incredibly authentic Thai food!!! Best I ve had outside of Thailand. Such a great experience. The chef is top notch and the owner is so warm and welcoming. Highly recommended, especially for anyone on a gluten free diet.
The best authentic Thai food in the city and in Canada. Have spent a lot of time travelling all around Thailand and the food here brings me back. This place is a gem!
Amazing meal - our table of four had Shrimp Pad Thai (shrimps were big and cooked perfectly), Khao Soi with Braised Beef (best Khao Soi ever), Chicken Pad See Ew (also one of the best we ve ever had) and Crispy Pork Belly with Chinese Broccoli (veggies were so fresh!). Plus crispy spring rolls and Tom Yum Soup. Would definitely recommend!
Fantastic spot. Food and environment was excellent. Will definitely be back!
Ripped off $58 for take out. Ordered two Pad Thai which were nothing but heaps of dry noodle with no sauce whatsoever and contained dry/bland pieces of chicken breast. The cucumber salad we purchased was pretty much a soup. My wife had to spend a couple of minutes draining the so called dressing from the container. For $12 it was a pile of spicy cucumber with no flavour or anything else added to it. It was a very depressing meal.
Amazing food, the service was great Saluki I think? Will definitely be back.
I was so excited to write this as the food was so good!!! We went there for my mom s birthday. Ordered the mango salad, a chicken satay for apps (both phenomenal!), and then the Thai panang curry and pad ki mao for mains - the curry was out of this world - the right balance of flavours. And then for dessert we ordered ice-cream and the mango sticky rice. Both delicious. Highly recommend and will 100% be back Dietary restrictions: Veggie options and shellfish allergy accommodations
PinToh by Chef Keng is a Thai dining gem! The dishes were a symphony of flavors, each one crafted with precision and passion. The authenticity of the Thai cuisine here is unparalleled. The ambiance is delightful, and the service is top-notch. A culinary journey worth savoring. Highly recommend! Vegetarian options: Available Dietary restrictions: Dishes can be modified to cater dietary needs.
Loved the food, the atmosphere, the management runs it so well.
I ll say one thing .I ate here twice in one day. Everything is amazing. If you don t know what to order, feel free to ask your server and I can guarantee that they will steer you in the right direction. Enjoy !!!
Blond haired server is a very disrespectful! Cant talk normal with anyone! Very bad service!!!! Not prefer this place to anyone.
fantastic food, great service, nice atmosphere. Will definitely be going back!
