Went there for a fundraiser and loved the atmosphere and the band. Service was non existent unfortunately which I can get to an extent but you have to order any food at the bar and they need to find you. The most disappointing thing was the Irish nachos. $20 for a 1 layer potato mush with a ton of cheese. The worst Irish nachos i have had ever. Unfortunate for sure, will go back just for drinks. Fyi out of your owned brewed beer is a first for me.
Solid bar with great sound for live music. It can be too loud depending on who is mixing the audio but this past show I saw was absolutely perfect. Decent beer prices. They ran out of Coors light on tap but still had bottles. I was really happy with how many people from Hamilton got out on a Friday night! It was a nice crowd of people and we had a great time
I didn't like the food or.cost of it, they ran out of gravy. Beer was watered down..😥 Band was good
I used to frequent this place often when Jack DeKeyzer played every Sunday. It is under new ownership. They have still have live music often. I recently took my friend here and the whole vibe and look is different. It felt like a Latino club. Still has live music and bands but we had to pay a cover of $15 each for a DJ which I find excessive. There were also 4 security guards, they had a wand to scan us. I found that off putting, I know it should make ppl feel safe but it actually did the opposite. They didn’t have a huge selection of liquor. So we order what was available. A decent selection but they used to have a very fully equipped bar. We were extremely hungry and couldn’t order food at 9:30 pm. We were told the kitchen wasn’t open yet. So again not expecting that. We ordered the beef nachos to share. They were very pricey. However when we were finally able to order food, they were the best nachos I have ever had at a restaurant! Loads of beef, loads of cheese and hot fresh jalapeños. Not the pickled tasteless ones. The other problem was there were no servers. Just one bartender. So we had to keep going up to ask when the kitchen opens and to get our drinks. While they charged $15 per person per entry, not justified. Overall the atmosphere was a little strange to what I was used to at Stonewalls. Maybe, because it was a Latin night with a DJ. So if you have not been in a while it’s very different. They took out the beautiful brick wood oven pizza and put up a very high stage. The music was too loud, and you couldn’t hold a conversation. I gave 3 stars because the Nachos were out of this world. Definitely not the restaurant/ bar I remember. Dear Owner, Thank you for your reply. Bold of you to assume I have not frequented your establishment in over ten years. . I have been to Stonewalls in the past ten years. I seen Jack DeKeyzer band there for the Checkmate release party. I also had tickets for Grace 2 in December. I have also met friends for lunch on your patio. I even attempted to go the Friday before last and it was closed. I live close by so it’s always been a favourite place of mine. I had read online that there was no cover charge before 11:00 pm. (For Latin night.) we were charged $15 each and we left before any singers or performers came on. I wasn’t aware establishments changed their products, liquor for special events. We couldn’t even get a mojito, on Latin night. The security guard at the door. Sam was the nicest gentleman, however being scanned for weapons? I have never encountered this before at this establishment, or any that I frequent. It makes patrons uneasy because most respectable establishments don’t have to check for weapons. Maybe it’s only on Latin night.
Very nice place to have a great time. Music, live bands, stand up comedy, delicious food, very nice staff, lots of free parking. What else can you ask for.
Awesome venue for live bands. Came here to see Sandman, a Metallica cover band. Had the Stonewall burger, which was really good. There is a vegan "burger" option. My friends had chicken tenders and a salad. Food over all was a solid 4 stars. The fries could have been a little hotter, but the place was at 90% capacity that night, so we understand. Also, Joe, the server's a cool dude. We'll definitely come back in April for the AC/DC cover band.
Watched a terrific show, Covid Elvis while dining. Food was hot, large portions and a varied menu. While mostly pub type food it was cooked and presented very well. Issue with service, one one waitress for the most part for a very large group (our table had 21) and there were other customers too. She did her best and we all eventually got served. Luckily we were there to enjoy the music and were not in a rush. Definitely a place you should check out to combine good food and live entertainment for a night out. Lots of free parking too.
Band did not go on until after 10 pm It was Latin night and the music reflected the Vibe. Left at 11:30 and attendance was way under capacity, though they had some great dancers on the dance floor Nice reminder of days in Mexico
Went to a musical matinee. Great bands, rocking patrons, and good vibes. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Food is limited, not great and service is slow. Its a great music venue though.
Great venue for live music. The only vodka served is Smirnoff blah, need premium such as TITOS.
Lots of live music here. Food is way overpriced though.
The chicken tenders and fries made me horribly sick.
Good atmosphere
Visited for live music, foos and socializing and got exactly what I came for
Good food service and a hot waitress named meaghan oh ya baby
Went to see a live show. So much fun
Good bar food, I had the chicken fingers and fries. Great place to listen to live music. Parking right outside. Food
The food was good but the customer service is really bad so I would not recommend coming here, the person who served me was very rude and when he brought me the food he threw the plate at me in a rude manner and left without saying anything and the people who are at the door have a bad attitude that makes people not even want to go in to eat, it is the first time I have gone and the last one, really, very bad service, especially from the waiter, It was a young man, the manager has to talk to him because they are going to lose customers.
Came for a blues music fundraiser, enjoyed some excellent wings! Best Live music venue in Hamilton!
I believe in second chances so I have changed my review. I hope the next time Im not left standing outside.
Excellent attention, service, the staff is very attentive, I was there a few days ago watching the Colombia match, with a pleasant atmosphere and good location
I wasnt a fan of the live music. They definitely werent worth the cover charge. It was more my fault for not investigating deeper into the type of music they played. Atmosphere
6/10 we can give number to the service , staff and meal
Music was great. Smash Mouth! Service was ok, I was served a shot in a chipped glass.
What a great place to see a live band while also enjoying some drinks and food. Food was good. Nothing to write home about but we were there more for the band so it was all good! Server was friendly and attentive.
Great atmosphere and great service. Fun night of dancing.
I went there for a comedy stand-up. The comedy was good and the place was okay, but the food it was pretty bad and too expensive. The place had a good costume service and parking lot.
The owner named Carlo is a nice and understanding person. The atmosphere is awesome for dancing and it has best security too.
Nice Place To Have Fun
Cozy and good pub. Little nice place.
Unfortunately, on this visit, the food was really disappointing. The cesear salad was topped with frozen, breaded chicken, and overdressed. My fish and chips had lime slices and I had to ask for the lemon. The coleslaw looked off and I didnt feel well that night and I think it may have been spoiled. The server was nice, but inexperienced and didnt offer any compensation or options when we politely voiced our concerns about the food. Music was great, but the food really put a damper on the evening.
Id give them 3 stars but the service just brings it down to 2. The venue is fantastic for you to see some really decent bands. The woman at the door however is incredibly rude, unwelcoming and argumentative. You would get past a bulldog or Gestapo with more ease. She totally leaves you annoyed to the point you lose your good mood for your evening ahead. You can be assertive and friendly. She is neither. Not your best choice for someone to meet your guests. Even people who have clearly been in all night and went out for a smoke get rude third degree. Servers are friendly but overall service is incredibly slow. Takes a long time to get server, even longer to get your drink order and forget about food. Even fries take an hour to come out. And little to no options for vegan diners. So eat before you come. Service is only as good as the team working together, unfortunately its not the case here. People are more inclined to spend more money when they are having a good experience. I come to support the bands, but service make it difficult to want to come back.
Great Staff, Great Food, Great Service.
A group of us were at Stonewalls recently to see Freedom Train play. The place is a great venue for music! Weve been a couple of times now. This most recent time though was a disappointment. I believe there is new ownership and they definitely arent impressing us with the menu. Food was horrible! 4 of the group had fish and chips, one had soggy fish, one had batter so thick and over fried she couldnt eat it. 2 of us had chicken tenders. They were a joke! They were just the cheapest chicken fingers you can buy at the grocery store! They werent tossed in anything but the breading they came out of the box in. $18 for 4 chicken fingers and a few fries is a total rip-off. Sweet potato fries were good though. Cant say too much about the service, when you could get it. They were way under-staffed for a sold out crowd so there was a wait for beverages. My recommendation is go somewhere else to eat before going into Stonewalls for the entertainment. If you get hungry through the evening, order sweet potato fries.
We went for Havana night and the only thing Havana about it was the performers--no themed drink or food or anything. There was someone teaching dance and a live band and they were all amazingly talented and engaging, but the band went on so late it was mostly just sitting waiting. The drinks were so watered down and the food is very salty and overcooked. Service was okay. I feel so bad for the performers who were amazing and there were some incredible dancers on the floor, but with the food and drinks so bad I would not go again.
Great Live music Venue! Only the best Bands, food and service
Enjoyed St.Patrick s Day. Great entertainment. Sound has really improved in the room. My burger came cold , fries were warm. I think it probably was a one off, so I told the waitress later after having had some of it. She said she would tell someone. When the bill came there was no compensation or discount. That was very disappointing!
Did not eat it. This establishment was there strictly for the entertainment
Update: I gave this place another shake after a couple years. Things have greatly improved. Plenty of attentive staff and the tasty food arrived promptly. Good work. YOU NEED MORE STAFF. Showed up 2 hours before the Toronto Rock game. Two hours to get some drinks and dinner. Its 6:50 pm, ten minutes before game start and our food hasnt hit the table yet. The staff is super friendly, but they are overworked and the kitchen is clearly understaffed as well.
Our server was awesome, the music playing in the background was awesome, but the food was disappointing. The burger is pretty tasty but the caesar salad it comes with is just chopped iceberg lettuce with a few croutons and those fake crunchy bacon bits sprinkled on top. We also got the Irish nachos which also werent great. They also had those fake crunchy bacon bits sprinkled on top. The food was overloaded with fake crunchy bacon bits which are gross. Well be back for the drinks & music but will not be back for the food.
Great
Service was horrible
I had Fun, wonderful live music .
We went last night to see a band play. After paying a $20 cover charge our waiter came to our table 10 mins after we were seated to get our drink order. The menu is complete wrong, they don t sell labbat products as listed, they now sell Molson. No big deal. We changed our order. The waiter then brought our drinks several minutes later. And took our food order. While we were waiting we saw the tables next to us, who were seated well after us get drinks and food. We ended up going to the bar to order more drinks, as our waiter never returned. The bar never sent the drinks. We waited 1 hour and 15 mins for part of our food to arrive, with the drinks we had ordered 30 mins before. I don t know how the band was, because I left. I would never go back here.
Ordered our dinner from Stonewalls using Doordash at 5:43pm, Stonewalls confirmed our order, and then had us wait an hour to find out they dont use Doordash anymore. Management, do better.
Overall the restaurant is very nice but the only thing Id say is that it was a little disappointing that the kitchen closed down at 9:30pm. The wait staff is super nice and the hostes is very nice as well.
AWESOME!
Sat at the bar and was there to hear FMJ. I knew about the substitution of the singer prior to and overall they were great. However during the intermission times, the music that was played catered to the young people that came in much later after some athletic game or something. I feel that they should have played music that closely resembled the music we were supposed to hear from the band!
The entire restaurant got their food and we were still waiting. We were sitting for over 50 minutes. I wish I was exaggerating. Check my other reviews - I rarely post anything negative unless it is warranted and even then I dislike doing so (server was at least friendly)
I booked a long table of 12 and Priscilla said it was fine. We get there and she gives us two TOTALLY SEPARATE tables of 6!! Great service ..NOT!!!!
Fun time! Live music creates a great atmosphere and our waiter Jaiden was excellent! Will definitely be back :)
excellent live music venue
Will give more details next month.
Went to watch Pappy Johns Blues band. What a great music venue. The sound was awesome. Food was delicious. The staff were there in a flash. Jasmine was exceptional.
Best place to see a live cover band close up, small dance floor, limited but good menu, cold beer and friendly staff
Great live music venue and uncharacteristically fantastic parking for a downtown location! Food selection was limited but delicious. Drink selection was limited but good. Parking: Tons. Way more than youd expect for downtown bars.
Went on the 4th of March 2023 after The Rock game! Which was recommended by the half time M.C. No greeting , no service after we sat ourselves, went to the bar after waiting for ten minutes. Zero cares from staff and no offer for menus. Left after one drink because there was no follow up from servers! First Ontario Place please do not recommend to your patrons.
It was good, with proper attentive Servers, it would ve been much better. They were friendly, yet absent.
Close later
Great for live music. Stage is quite high. Food is delicious and price is too bad. Fry portion should be bigger or lower the price of those. Great for watching sporting events with lots if TVs to keep up with different sports on at the same time. Staff is pleasant and accommodating
Great place to go see bands and have dinner before
Fun Times Great Bands !!
Friendly staff and good food. Bands are great though. Great place to see bands...clean and more posh-like instead of those sleazy black-walls painted shitholes
Fabulous flatbreads
This place is always a greath time whether its for a love band, a dinner date or just a drink on the patio. I definitely recommend this place.
Food could be better, but most come for the entertainment
My wife and i went with some friends, ordered 2 gin and tonics that tasted like water. Told the waiter, he didnt care. Our second round asked for the Gin on the side, much better. Either watered down or non pour. Be better.
Went to see an 80s band...server was amazing! He was so busy running his butt off, but was still attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted. Fantastic! Would definitely come back!
GOOD PLACE for have dinner and drink with friends
Gone downhill in recent years. Food used to be better. Too expensive for not too great a menu.
Nice place, service was great, food was tasty and healthy portions (fish tacos and chicken wings), no band tonight so was quiet but well be back
Just had nachos and beer but cant say anything bad about them. Plenty on the plate lots of cheese and where hot when served
Excellent atmosphere for live music, a good date or time with friends. The food is great quality. We wish we could go more often.
** Disclaimer: The low rating on service is not reflective of the servers/bartender/kitchen staff. They were amazing despite challenging conditions. ** We arrived for our reservation at 5:15pm, and waited over 40 minutes for our drink & food order to be taken. This was on par with most other tables, some having waited so long that they actually gave up and walked out. I counted at least 5 tables that walked out without having been served, and one table (that had arrived prior to us) that never received the food they ordered (staff offered to box it up, however outside food is prohibited at FirstOntario Place). We ordered 2 Chicken Club Wraps (along with 2 glasses of white wine & 2 Iced Teas) and our food finally showed up shortly after 6:45pm (90 minutes since arrival; 50 minutes after ordering), and was good (fries were limp and could have been crispier) - although we were so hungry by that point, it could have been raw and we still would have eaten it. ** We also had to go up to the bar ourselves to get our second round of drinks, because the servers could not keep up ** It took another 20(ish) minutes to pay our bill and head out for the concert. A $50+ bill for over 2 hours of our time. Something that was extremely disappointing is the fact that their website advertises they have Filipino specialty dishes (pork adobo, chicken adobo, etc) but these are not found on the menu in the restaurant. They also do not provide drink menus at the table. We were advised by the staff as we were paying, that the owner has sold the bar/restaurant, and the new owner doesnt take ownership until August. The current owner was well informed that a concert was occurring (Shania Twain - June 20, 2023) and simply didnt care enough to staff accordingly & they have checked out of caring how the restaurant fairs. There were 4 servers and 1 bartender (three additional servers arrived by the time we were leaving), for a crowd that was easily 200+ people. Its very sad that the previous owner is setting the new owner up for failure based on how theyre handling the transition out. Overall, a very generous 2 out of 5 stars
Attended on June 20, 2023. My friends dauhter reserved a table to celebrate mine and my friends birthdays. We waited 15mins to be greeted at the door. 15 mins past our reservation time. The maled server pointed in the direction of our table. We waited 30 mins to order and it took an hour to get luke warm water to our table. No one came to our table to follow up with us to regards to our order. It wasnt overly busy and the menu was very complex nothing that would take very long at all to cook. After almost 1.5 hrs. We left without having our meal in order to get to the Shania Twain concert down the street. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. 1 star rating is only because i had to put something in order to write this review.
I never give 100% I always thing there is room 4 improvement . Wonderful experience on Sunday afternoon. Mostly people our age. Great band, dancing, andots if parking. Will be back I for Carl Jennings and Freedom Train.
I played Stonewalls Sat. Night and we had A blast the crowd was awesome and the service is top shelf. I had their big burger and omg best I ve had anywhere. Highly recommend this place Tommy Gilham
We all had a wonderful time the service was awesome and the food was outstanding, thank you for a wonderful night we will be back!!!
Zep band was awesome. Bartenders have attitudes and are slow
Nice place with live music. Enjoy your day
Food was solid and service was good but it was pretty slow for a Friday night.
Just saw 80 s gone wild. Absolutely jaw droppingly amazing. The guys brought it. Fantastic show.
Great atmosphere and staff. Nice venue for live bands and events. Love the high booths so you can see the stage even from the back wall. The food was... Ok. The Irish nachos were very dissapointing with the tiniest amount of cheese on only 5 chips on the top. The burger was slightly overcooked and not the best cheese. No local beers... Such is a shame. Otherwise its a great place. Staff were attentive and on the ball.
Good music Good food good service Wheelchair accessibility: Yes Food : 5/5 |
We made a reservation for 6:30 PM on Friday, December 1. Not one server came to our table the entire time. We were there for over an hour. Walked up to the bar to get our own drink after 20 mins. Sat with menus on the table waiting to order and trying to get somebody s attention for another 20 Mins. At one point, the person who seated us said he would try to find a server. After he walked around the place multiple times for another 20 mins, he finally came over with a pen and paper himself. At that point it was cutting it too close to our concert time , so we had to leave without eating (or even ordering). It was not busy during that time. It is not a big restaurant, and not many tables were filled. I can t even say it is the worst service I ve ever experienced because there simply was NO service. When we went back to the bar to pay for the two drinks, they grabbed a server to collect our money. That was the only interaction we had with a server the entire time.
Great show put on by Grace 2 ... Tragically Hip cover band ... went early to have dinner before the show at 8 ... got there about 630 and ordered food by 7 ... food came about 845... service was slow and food was just OK bar food ... certainly disappointing when you wait for almost two hours for nachos and flatbread ... great venue for a show but dont go for the food
Stonewalls let us host a 40th birthday party and they treated us like their own family. Our server, Jack, was incredible. He was so kind and always checking on us. Live band was amazing and the service from Jack and the rest of the staff was a 10 out of 10. I highly recommend a night of food and drinks at this venue.
Google maps told me this place was open. However it was closed when we drove all the way there. I would suggest call ahead or not even bothering
Wow , we just had fish and chips and honey garlic wings. It was delicious . Huge piece of fish, the batter was light and crispy. Very good home made fries.....Amazing wings. The portion are very big. Will definitely go back. I highly recomend . Friendly owner and staff. Please support locals....
Excellent food huge portions .we had fish and chips And wings.very friendly staff. We will definitely go back
Great job well done after another lock down. Great service, excellent food. And live music at its best.
Excellent restaurant and service!!!
Fun night out, food was good, service was great. Liverpool 4 was great entertainment
Beers & Blues
Went there before the Toronto Rock game, staff seemed overwhelmed with the expectation of a large crowd and management and or the kitchen decided to limit the menu to quick to prepare food items. Adjusted what l planned to order since we had made reservations and it was recommended that we view there menu online prior to arriving so we could place or order quickly to get our order promptly. Decided on a house soup side but they were out, to me that shows a lack of preparation. While there did not see the anticipated rush thus was disappointed that the complete menu was not available
Pours were a little light. Food was ok. Live music was good, but a little loud, so it was not possible to have a conversation with friends.
We went to see the live band, Sunday Noize...great atmosphere, great music and great service!
This is a pretty good venue for live music. I dont drink alcohol and didnt eat anything from the menu but the soda water is good and I wasnt even charged for it.
Food poisoning from spinach dip
We came after an event 1 hours before the band started, they were very slow on orders and bringing food and bills and we were forced to pay $15 per person cover charge for a garbage old man band that was so loud (which we werent told about the cover until it showed in the bills). Food was terrible - veggie wrap didnt have half the things listed. Management wasnt helpful at all to resolve issues. The waitress said it was her second day and no one helped her at all. Were charged extra for fries that came with the wrap, had to ask 5x for the bill and it took 1.5 hours to get billing done. Literally my worst restaurant experience EVER.
Food was okay/good. Medium chicken wings were WAY too spicy though. Live music was nice
Had reservations made days in advance for last night at 6pm. When we arrived for our reservation at 6pm we were told a large group had just walked in and they had given up our table. Their excuse they had tickets to the concert tonight . We also had tickets to a show at First Ontario last night and had made the reservations planning to have dinner before the show! Very disappointed, only giving one star because I can t give zero. We ended up having to find another restaurant and by the time we were seated somewhere else we didn t have time to finish our meal. The whole point of a reservation is that you RESERVE the table, a large group that just walks in should have to wait or find somewhere else to go, it shouldn t have been us who had dinner ruined. Will not be giving this restaurant any business.
Good food - great music venue
Excellent service and food. !
Great place for live music! Fun atmosphere and terrific food!
Love stonewall. such amazing vegan pub food options. The vegan deep friends pickles are my favourite.
Great service!
Went last night for dinner before the Bulldog game, we were the only people in the place. The waitress was nice but the food was awful. The Nachos were bland came with very little salsa, the chicken wings were ordered as buffalo butter the sauce was very limited on the wings and the sauce was White. They tasted way too salty and over cooked. Our friends got the burger and the patty was so over cooked it was like a hockey puck. Will not be back garbage food
We want to like this place so much as it right at the end of our street. We just cant. The last four times we have been they didnt have the spinach dip three times. The food is so-so, ceasers and sangria are below average, the online menu is not that same as in the restaurant so dont plan ahead. The one good thing was trivia nights but I think those are dead.
Came for dinner, stayed for the band. Food was good, as was the service. The air conditioning wasnt working (apparently someone tried to steal the copper?) so it was hot inside but having the fans going helped.
From the moment you arrive at Stonewalls, the owners and staff make you feel at home and do everything they can to ensure everyone has a great time. The menu hosts a wide variety of delicious selections for every palate. Stonewalls showcases the best in live entertainment week after week. The venue is clean and has a good sized dancefloor. A perfect place to celebrate or just get out for a fun night. Its become one of my favourite places to go.
The music & the atmosphere was good & the food is good and the prices are good too.
Walked in midday, no staff in sight so we waited for 5 minutes by the bar for anyone to greet us. They didn t so we left.
Their yam fries sere really good but there burger wasnt so good
Great place to see bands - food was good too
The trivia was awesome
If you are considering this location for a large event forget it! They have no capacity for extra people. We waited 2 hours for chicken wings, it was absolutely ridiculous I would never come here again.
Went for a special event and had a really good time
Greeted outside by some mint old school cars! After a hike nearby my group stumbled into this place, food and service was great considering the place was filling up quickly. My group ordered our food at 630 and got it at 7. We were hustled at our table for cash not knowing before that theres a cover fee for the music. This wasnt mentioned at the door by the hostess. We just wanted to eat and leave. But ... The band was wayyy worth it after all! They made everyone dance or atleast made your head bop. Take a chance and bring your friends, definitely recommend this place.
Service was a little bit spotty but all around was okay in the end.
I went there before a concert and was easily seated and the food was very good , had reasonably priced drinks, and a short walk to the concert venue.
Very quiet at lunch time. Limited menu. Food and service was good. I would think that this is a very lively place in the evenings with live music.
We didnt stay as the doors were locked when they should have been opened and when we did get in we decided not to stay
Ok experience, but discovered their liquor (southern comfort) extremely watered down! Drinks were yellow, checked bottle behind bar and content was extremely pale and not color of southern comfort! Taking pictures would have been too obvious. Was there to enjoy music, no mood to start drama.
Menu not as good as it use to be. Sound quality was terrible. Our server was excellent tho !
Great venue for music and fairly priced drinks!
I want to thank Chantel for her kindness when I called to make a reservation today. You were so kind and accommodating. Thank you Laural
Went to catch some live music. Server was awesome, very attentive and friendly. Took a little long to get the first drink order in, but nothing too excessive, yet they comped that order which I thought was very nice on their part. Ordered some breaded wings which were good. As a live music venue I was a little less enthused. Not sure if its the space, the mix, or the act that night, but the sound hitting the audience was all muddy mids. Needs a little more push in the high end and a little more power in the low end. Overall, though, a fun time. Would go again.
I have always liked this place. The sound is great for the live bands they host. The ownership has changed and they had a Greek inspired menu and now it s more pub type food. Service is attentive and efficient. I would recommend this establishment for a date, night out with friends or a nice lunch on the patio.
What a great night out with our friends, our waitress was amazing and dialed into our tables needs. The band that was in that night got the crowd moving. The crowd was mature, but also fun.
Great food and tons of live music!
Great mixed drinks as well as mocktails. They also have gluten free and vegan options on the menu. Staff is friendly and the dining areas are clean.
Good atmosphere. Live music.
I ordered a burger and fries through skip the dishes. One of the best tasting pub style burgers Ive had. And the fries were fantastic as well. Hoping to experience this quality in restaurant now that restrictions are lightening up.
Always good, never a complaint!
Food was amazing. Service was the best. We will definitely be going back. Loved sitting on the patio.
Went on the patio for dinner, ground was clean, tables and chairs were clean and neat. Our server was great. She was run off her feet but still kept calm and attentive. Our new go to family dinner spot and date night venue.
Enjoyed the live music tonight (every Friday Saturday and Sunday). Ceasars were delicious along with the burger and fries. Our waitress was phenomenal. Very friendly, helpful and came by the perfect amount!
Its the best place I have been to in a very long time
Nice set up for watching live music. Pub fare food looks delish. Lots of parking. Make it your favorite place in The Hammer on your next visit.
Great service! Staff and owners are very friendly and attentive! Food is delicious and very generous portions! Drinks are priced well and strong! Will forsure be back and will recommend!
Great food and good prices. Plenty of room inside and out. Awesome place to see a band as well.
I had pork adobo with rice twas delicious we came back today but it is close on Mondays. I highly recommend to visit and see this restaurant. Very friendly staff and superb owner, Pricilla!
I would just like to thank Ricks son and wife and friends for coming out!! Very supportive! Rick and I played in Hateful Snake for years, and our drummer was in Blue Peter for 10 years and has a juno award for that!! THE JUNCTION!!! Please look for us!!! Blue Rodio, Eagles and lots more!!
Fish and Chips were greasy....Service was mediocre at best. Dont see many endearing reasons to return.
Good food, reasonable service.
The beer list was disappointing. Seven craft breweries right here in Hamilton and they have nothing but big-brand swill and Heineken. Draught not even mentioned on the menu! Had to ask the waitress if they have any beer on tap. And they do: swill, Heineken, and Guinness. The wait for the food was a bit long, but otherwise the service was good. (Didnt like the waitress calling me Hun but I guess its just that kind of place.) I had the Classic Burger. The moulded disc-shaped patty was thick but dry and bland, grey all the way through; came with one piece of a lettuce leaf, one decent tomato slice, two small, hard, thin rings of onion (obviously cut from the top of an onion and too close to the skin) - and didnt have the pickles the menu stated. Worst burger Ive had in a long time. The fries were pretty good, and as seems to be the norm there were about twice as many as necessary. The music on the patio was low-key R&B and was OK. But then a band inside loudly played My Little Runaway, which is bad enough on its own (especially when the backing vocals went off key), but competing with the patio tunes was obnoxious. Fortunately they only did one tune (weird). Oh well, they have plenty of free parking!
Dealt with our large loud group excellently!
No Dessert. Waited over an hour for Mac and cheese and the whole table ate. No recognition or discount at all. Good service for a big table.
Great stage, good place for live music. Cover charge is a bit rich, but the entertainment quality is the reason.
Live music is back! Great place to see a band. Food was delicious.
Always a great time!
Nice restaurant, the food and staff were excellent.
Service was great, music was amazing, the food got mixed reviews.
Awesome venue for music and great food.
Stopped in with a buddy for some drinks and service was on point. Bartender was quick to mention the daily drink/meal specials ... And thats what we went with after looking over prices. Took a bite of my buddys burger and it was juicy and seasoned alright. I wanted to like this greek salad more than I did .. maybe it was the dressing because it surely wasnt the lack of feta and olives yumyum! We will be back to test out other things. Def keep Stonewalls in your mind as theyre always having live bands, holiday events/specials and the regulars add a welcome feel/personality to the spot.
The service was excellent, unfortunately they have a terrible craft beer selection.
Love the ambiance
Ordered some fish and chips in August for my family (who live by the ocean btw). Half of them were not cooked. They forgot our order so we thought it was due to cooking them in a hurry. Order again today, not cooked. Drive back, they argue it is the way it should be. The fish is pink inside. Told me 15min for a new one, I waited 35mins. And guess, the new fish is not cooked. (2nd pic). Brutal. Lost a customer today.
Great place to listen too a band. Was not impressed with the food.
Great place to see live music. They have nice big stage and good setup. Large spacious place with high ceilings ( at times of Covid it is important, at least to me) Good food (pub food) , large portions. Huge wings and good tacos . Good prices Come visit
We showed up 2 hours before a Toronto ock game for dinner. After an hour and 50 minutes we had to leave, with only being served drinks and an appetizer. Staff was kind but horribly overworked. Not a good night out.
Took a long time to get our food a real long time
They closed the bar for our annual reunion of CHCH former and current employees. Food and service extraordinary.
Great poutine!
NEVER Going again. Worst experience. Went for steak dinner but not on tonights menu because of a band at 8. Decided on tacos, which turned up cold, bland and flavorless. My 6 year old Grandson could make better! Left hungry !
