Modern Vietnamese cuisine. For family, casual dining or a night out.
Went for a late dinner right before they closed so wasn’t sure what the quality of service would be like, but we were not disappointed. We split an order of pork dumplings to start the meal which were yummy. My fiancé got the rare beef pho, which she enjoyed a lot (as did I). My meal was fine and I didn’t love all of it. Some of the meat I got was a little too chewy so that was a bit disappointing, but I loved the flavor of everything. I would be willing to go back to try other things on the menu because it was an expansive one. The pho I tried more than made up for my subpar meal experience honestly.
Great Vietnamese restaurant! 👍👍 We ordered Beef with onions, Crispy chicken wings , Chicken with vegetables. All 3 menu items were flavorful with just the right amount of seasoning. Definitely recommend this restaurant!👍👍
Have ordered take out from here a number of times and recently dined in. Our table ordered the Well Done Beef Pho, Vegetables with Egg Noodles and Coconut Milk Sour Soup with Shrimp and we all enjoyed our meal. The extra large pho is true to it's name - it's a lot. We were seated quickly and food was served promptly. We will definitely be back.
My below review is based on the price, quality, portion and personal preference of course. I am a big fan of Pho and I have tried a lot of low to high end Pho places in Ontario. So I know what to expect and what to appreciate for Pho. Hamilton has a lot of Pho restaurants but I didn’t have a lot of chances to try them all. Today, I was passing by the city and chose this restaurant for lunch. Their rating was 4.9 with 900+ review. So it can’t go wrong. However, this restaurant is a big disappointment to me. I ordered the following food. 1) Spring Rolls (2 pcs) - $7.25 I always love to order spring rolls on my first visit. If the spring rolls are good, this restaurant can’t be too bad. The spring rolls are short and small. I doubt it they made this in house, probably buy from supplier frozen. The spring rolls don’t have a lot of texture to it. It’s hard. Please response me if I’m wrong. 2) Shrimp & Pork Wrap (2 pcs) - $7.25 Small size again. The pork and shrimp portion were small. Nothing special. Average quality. The peanut sauce has very weak taste. It ruined the dish. 3) Item #23 - Rare Beef Noodle Soup was too light, lack of flavor. Portion was good. Meat was average. Noodle was fine. 4) Item #23A - Special Rare Beef Noodle This item was very misleading. Refer to the attached photo, it doesn’t list how “Special” comparing to item #23. When the noodle arrived, I didn’t know it was ground beef and ginger. I hated ginger specially. I didn’t want to exchange for another one because my food never goes back to the kitchen. I told the staff that they should list the ingredient. I didn’t expect Ginger in it. Overall, I don’t understand how this restaurant has so much high reviews. I guess it’s down to personal preference. At this price,l range, the food quality doesn’t match with the price. Will not come back. A lot more choices in Hamilton at this price range.
Definitely a great array of dishes. Here! You will see some Vietnamese dishes that are not normally available at other Vietnamese restaurants. Great flavor, good service, clean facilities and beautiful decor. Highly recommend trying this spot!
Decent Vietnamese restaurant. They have so many items on their menu for you to choose from. They serve a pot of tea for each table which I don’t see it often in Toronto restaurants. Food is good.
All the dishes I had here were delicious, but the star was the Bun Bo Hue. I think this was one of the best (if not the best) bowls of Bun Bo Hue I’ve ever tasted at a restaurant. They use the thick vermicelli noodles and everything! Would really recommend this dish if you come here. The pho was also really tasty - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they give you a good amount of meat. Really enjoyed my experience here! Definitely stop by if you’re looking for quality Vietnamese food in Hamilton!
I recently had the pleasure of trying the vermicelli bowl at Pho Binh Minh and I must say, it was a decent meal. While it wasn't anything extraordinary, it was definitely filling and satisfying. The bowl came with a generous portion of vermicelli noodles, fresh vegetables, and your choice of meat. The noodles were cooked well and the veggies tasted fresh, which was a nice touch. One thing that really stood out to me was the price point. The vermicelli bowl was priced right and you definitely got your money's worth. This made it a great option for a quick and affordable lunch or dinner. Overall, while the vermicelli bowl at Pho Binh Minh wasn't the most amazing dish I've ever had, it was still a solid choice. It was filling, satisfying, and priced well. If you're looking for a tasty and affordable meal, this is definitely worth a try.
Great food and great service. This place could be full and the service is still top notch.
People who came in later than us got served first and whenever we ask why, nobody can answer zero stars for service. Food is not even that great.
My fave pho spot the broth has a kick to it
Beautiful
I highly recommend the French Style beef stew. 10/10
This is the go to Pho place in Hamilton.
Still the Best in town
It was our first time at this place. The food was the best! Only problem was there was one server that was rude and rushing us with our plates. Good thing someone (it might be the owner) came up to us and asked us if everything is alright.
The food was very delicious and the people were very nice to me
We ordered the pad Thai. It tasted incredibly strongly of shrimp even though we ordered the chicken, and was so salty I could barely even finish half even though I was starving. Definitely would not recommend- I feel nauseous now.
Decided to get take out from this place after being in the area and seeing the good reviews. I m a big pho fan and have gotten pho from over a dozen different places over the years. I can say that this was hands down the WORST pho I have ever tried in my life. I m not sure if it was because it was the end of the week and they ran out, but the pho was tasteless and watered down. The beef was thick, chewy, stringy not what should be in pho. The broth even smelled like dirty dish water? Couldn t finish eating after that. Never coming here again!
Drove 20 minutes to pick this up and this was all the beef in a $20 beef stew. Brutal.
Amazing Pho, so beefy, like real bone broth
Best food. Less wai8time
Ordered from Uber eats, and the noodles had a burned charred taste. Very disappointed
1st time here though we live in Montreal I will come buy Great food; great price and service Food : 5/5
Good food and good ambiance
Nice food, fair price......not too much nice the environment, all see cheap and unconfortable
Great food with a mouthful of flavor. The music was a bit too loud and it would have been nice to hear more traditional music instead of pop music. But in all , a good place to eat.
Incredible service, top notch. 5 out of 5. Food was so fresh, flavors are unreal and the meals are priced for their value. #42. Trust me. NV&B Food : 5/5 |
Excellent food, fast service and great ambiance. The quantity is always worth the price. Very good for a weekend lunch with family or friends Parking: No frills is attached to the place with plenty of parking spots. There are a couple of parking spots in front of the restaurant as well
Best pho in the
I had a great time here with my friends. Everything was good. Thanks
One of the Good Pho place around Hamilton
Food is ok, but the music gives me a heart attack ,too beat
I get that it s a lunch special but damn near $20 for this joke of a beef combo. I could ve gotten more beef ordering the beef fresh rolls. Disappointing
The food is always delicious, the service is swift, and the atmosphere is delightful!
Great viet food!! As authentic as you can get it.
This is my favorite place for Vietnamese food
Easy to miss being in the side of the building, amazing food and good prompt service. A hidden gem to keep in your rotation.
The food, ambience, and service were Im looking forward to my next visit so I can try something different on the menu Highly recommend Food : 5/5
Delicious, very flavourful pho!
First time trying this place out. It was the best pho I have had in awhile. Portions were great and the quality of the food was great.
Our family loves this spot Friendly amazing staff The food is always A++
The go to restaurant. Cant go wrong with this place. Rice is good, pho is the classic. I always find myself getting vermicelli
Food here is fresh and delicious, every time.
An old favorite.
Too.much msg
Good pho, clean restaurant, fair prices
Always order out here. Great food
A great place for Pho, but the people that work there are not warm and friendly. No eye contact and they barely crack a smile. In my party, we each ordered something different. I was not impress with my Seafood Pho. It had no flavor. However, their mango salad was delicious and it came with 2 chicken skewers. The rest of the party seemed to have enjoyed their soups! I will come back and try something different next time.
The food is delicious also the service is top class.
Ordered takeout for lunch. Arrived slowly, might have been due to large group order. Upon my first impression, I appreciated that the different orders were labeled with each of our names. A variety of cutlery (e.g. forks, spoons, chopsticks, napkins) were provided too, with more than enough for everyone. After opening the box, I was disappointed that my chicken with rice noodle soup included green and white onion. I had requested this to not be provided. The chicken was also a bit stale. Aside from that, the noodle and broth were okay tasting and quite filling with a relatively large portion size.
Loved the food definitely recommended
Great overall experience. Great food, some of the best Vietnamese food Ive had. Vermicelli, pho, bun bo hue, pork chops, all good! Pretty average price but bigger than average portions too! Service is more than adequate even when busy. Will be going back when in the neighbourhood! Parking: Easy parking if you just park at the nofrills
Best pho Ive ever had in my life. Whole dinner date for $70 after tip and we were both full and satisfied
Fabulous food
Awesome foods. Reasonable prices. Friendly service. Food
By far the worst customer service in town. Staff very rude and takeout orders take 3x as long as they tell you.
This Vietnamese noodles is delicious! I ordered the special beef noodle soup, which has a very good soup base and the noodle is QQ elastic. I like I think it has absolutely no MSG, Kid-friendliness: Many snacks and noodle soups are suitable for children
Nothing wrong. good place for a quick lunch.
Great spot to enjoy Asian dishes
Good taste for hue style
Amazing pho, clean environment, friendly service
Amazing food, great service! This place has become our favourite Vietnamese place. We come almost weekly.
Very good pho, no beef tendon makes this place a no no for me. Unfortunately the pho is really delicious. I would pay extra if they offered beef tendons
A great Vietnamese spot in Hamilton with fresh ingredients and decent prices compared to Toronto. Ordered the Pho Dac Biet and the broth was full of flavour and it came out piping hot. A unique thing about the rice dishes is that they offer fried bean curd shrimp wrap (which I haven t seen anywhere else). Our visit wasn t mind blowing, hence the 4 stars.
The store is clean, the service staff is very good, every dish is delicious. Dont hesitate to come and try it if youre far away ;)
Tried the bun bo hue and the pho house special. Both were good but the bun bo hue stands as the clear winner. One of the best bun bo hue Ive had in restaurants, ratio of lemongrass to soup is amazing. You know its authentic when they use the pork blood and the authentic rice noodle. The basil , bean sprouts and chili peppers sides were fresh
Lot of options
Great place to spend with friends
When I m in the Hamilton area and feel like Vietnamese food, this is the restaurant of choice. The pho, the bun, the salad rolls, the spring rolls are all delicious. The restaurant is clean and the service is generally acceptable. My only gripe is that since I ve been going to this restaurant, they haven t served beef tendon and can t be bothered to take it off the menu. Seems simple enough - either source it or remove it from the menu instead of getting my hopes up. Either than that I would definitely recommend.
Dont believe the hype, I had the extra large pho and it was a normal size anywhere else. No meat, couldnt even finish the soup. Dont go save your money.
The best Vietnamese restaurant in Hamilton.
Beautiful restaurant and delicious food. Sad they dont have a large dessert variety but the food is AMAZING. The servers are nice.
There has been a change in ownership here . We have been coming to this restaurant for years . Suddenly I don t recognize the people anymore . The food was disappointing did not taste the same definitely a change in the kitchen and they got our take out order wrong . Wow so disappointed .
Group of twenty made reservations. When we arrived they were not aware of the reservation. Not sure why but to their credit they found room for us at 3 different tables. Took about an hour before the foo reached me but it was tasty and was served hot. Not quite as good as other restaurants with a similar menu. Prices reasonable, food ok, service ok (but they did have signs posted saying they were short handed and to ask for patience. Parking: Lots of free parking.
Have been for dinner and lunch many times and it is always great.
Always good. Very friendly staff
Best Vietnamese food I have ever had, very fresh and reasonably priced been eating here for 13 years
Our go to Vietnamese restaurant in Hamilton!!
My favourite restaurant in Hamilton.
Our new go-to Vietnamese restaurant! Hidden gem. Not knowing where to go on a Monday for lunch when most is closed we decided to try here. It s nice to try someplace new. The restaurant had tons of tables and is very clean. The menu pages of items that you write down the menu item number when ordering. We landed on mango salad with chicken skewers, coconut shrimp, spring rolls and grilled pork chop, fried egg n rice. The mango salad was so fresh and the coconut shrimp was the best I have ever had (not too sweet which is my common experience), and the spring rolls where hot and crispy. Excellent. Fair prices and good service.
Great food! If this place closes down, I would have nowhere to go. Chefs and Owners please stay healthy and keep doing amazing food service for forever!!
Water tasted like chlorine.Been there many many times in years food not the same.
Delicious. Reasonable price
I order a seafood soup #31 and dosent said anything about is very spicy a did said something and the waitress where making fun laughing especially that one who was in the cashier . Plus the prices when up again.
Always so good!
Had Shrimp rice noodle soup and chicken tom yum soup from here. Decent taste! I have had better phos but this place isn t too bad. Value for money Really good quantity
If you like a good pho, this is a great place to visit. Quite spacious pho restaurant with many tables a booths, really neat design and atmosphere. They offer lunch deals on work days between 12-3pm. The parking is small, but you can park beside supermarket just a step away. The food is delicious! I took a large chicken soup with rice noodles, and it was awesome. Note, that if you want it no spicy at all, ask the kitchen to skip a pinch of black pepper that goes on top. Also I ordered chicken fried rice to go. The food was prepared really fast and the service is excellent. Leaving a good tip!
Always good :) love the spring rolls. Nice big space if you choose to sit in and eat without feeling crowded
Having moved from Toronto to Hamilton, I was looking for a Pho restaurant that hit the spot. Pho Binh Minh is hands down the best pho I ve had in Canada. Highly recommend
Great food. Great service. A truly hidden gem of Vietnamese cuisine.
Broth is rich. Preferred spot to go to
Amazing experience! I was unfortunatley in a rush when i visited, I had to be somewhere but was very hungry. I was greeted warmly and given quick thoughtful service as soon as i sat down. The food was amazing as well! I had the hot and sour tofu soup which was a unique option for pho in my experience. All of the staff were very friendly and although i would have liked to stay longer, i was in and out of there in time to get where i needed to be! God bless the folks working here and God bless you!
I have been going to this restaurant for pho for 13 years now. This is the only place i will go for pho, its the best you will have! My family drive from out of town just to eat here. Besides pho they have many delicious dishes you wont be disappointed. Love the owner, shes such a sweetheart:)
My favorite Vietnamese place. Great food, fair pricing and fast friendly service. Highly recommended!
Vermicelli bowl was delicious. There was a good balance of taste between the ingredients and right portion of noodles to the salad, meat, spring roll. Sauce was insufficient. They used to serve free warm tea prior to the meal but now its only water with lemon. Busy during meal times and expect waiting time minimum 10-15mins since everything is cooked fresh upon order. Restaurant interior is nice. Menu has a variety of options for lunch and dinner. Parking can be difficult and might consider parking at the grocery parking lot across.
Waiting over 40min for sinple togo food
I had pho with 4 friends. The atmosphere was very neat. It was delicious and the quantity was huge. The price was cheap too.
Everything was so fresh! Spring rolls were delicious nice hot and crispy. A small size Pho was more like a medium or large. My friend had a sizzling plate veggies and shrimp and rice had some kick to it, I really liked it! Very savory. The atmosphere was nice with leather booths in good shape beautiful pictures on the wall. Will go back again Parking lot is small Service was so so.when we entered w women said sit anywhere, but as soon as we were settled a staff asked us to move. And when we were leaving our booth staff got in our way to get back to clean the table we had just left. Felt rushed.
I didnt expect the staff to be so young, and very professional, too.
I have been to this restaurant (and the second location on Queenston) several times and it is by far the best authentic Vietnamese restaurant to dine at. They have so many different options to choose from but whatever you choose, I bet you won t be disappointed because I surely never am! This time, I got the Bun Bo Hue and my brother got rare beef, beef brisket and beef balls pho. They were very generous with the meat in both of our soup bowls and it was very filling. We enjoyed every single bite!
Everything we ordered here was delicious (chicken rice noodle soup, beef noodle soup, pork & shrimp wontons, spring rolls and egg noddle stir fry). We will definitely be returning.
Had another great dinner. We had beef tenderloin and chicken vermicelli with vegetables it was amazing. Beef rolls with vermicelli. Highly recommend the food here. Favorite food place. Prices are good. Food
Food is good, but the soup is not that hot. Serving is big as well. Service: the server are nice it s just that we asked for water since we sat down, we need to remind it 3X before they serve water. The restaurant is clean and a lot of space.
Great food and portion.
Very delicious and authentic food! Very clean and freshly renewed restaurant! A real gem in Hamilton! Highly recommend!
Great place, will visit again
Yes, for the better. It had been renovated and the food is still as delicious as ever. In my opinion the best Vietnamese restaurant in Hamilton. We have been eating here for over 15 yrs. Wheelchair accessibility: You can access the restaurant, but the glass doors are heavy and they dont open automatically. I am sure if they are let know a person on a wheel chair or walker needs help, they will gladly assist with opening the doors
They recently renovated. This is one of our favorite go to Pho places
Had to change from 5 star to 3, since they reduced to go-portions and increased the price of the items on the menu. (Very small to go bowls)
Rice vermicelli was excellent.. Must try..fried rice was tasty and hearty.. The aroma just fills your heart as soon as you walk inside that door..humble, hearty and delicious food..
Fantastic pho! Their deep fried spring rolls are also excellent. We just moved in around the corner and have been here 4 times already
5/5 AMAZING food, people, and environment. You know the food is great when the shop is tucked away in the back of a plaza but super busy! You always know its even better food when the workers themselves eat the same food during their lunch breaks :P cant wait to come back for some more
Been here a few times now and always had a good experience. Its not fancy but its bright and clean with good food at good prices.
It was great to go out with 3 friends.
Rice, pasta, rice noodles, delicious
I grew up eating Vietnamese food and this restaurant offers truly delicious and authentic meals. They recently renovated and the restaurant is also very beautiful. Love this place and eat here often!
Always delicious and super quick service!
An alright choice for Viet food that my friends and I have been to a few times. The pho is pretty good but the other dishes are hit or miss sometimes. The currys are VERY liquidy and unfortunately have basically no meat. The seafood pho was not as rich and flavourful as the classic beef pho. However, portion sizes were pretty good for everything. The Vietnamese iced coffee was more tangy (?) and less sweet/creamy than normal. The service was really good and the interior was nicely decorated and clean! There was a whole separate section on the menu for vegetarian dishes, which was nice.
Ive been frequenting this restaurant every few months for a couple of years now, generally pretty happy with the food, portions, service and overall value. Lately though, Ive been disappointed by the mistakes on my order (not cool when its takeout and I get home with the wrong dish) and the quality (and quantity) of the stir frys. Ill stick with the pho as its still the best Ive had locally, but I dont think this is going to be my go to place for Vietnamese food, Im going to venture out a little and try elsewhere.
New renos have the place looking really cozy! Try the Tom Yum soup, its delish.
I just love it.
Delicious food, great service and beautiful atmosphere. Love the redo. Owner came over to check that everything was fine. Definitely will be back. Kid-friendliness: Came with a 4 yr old and an 18 month old, there was a high chair for the baby everything went smoothly and all were happy.
Got the rice with egg, chicken, and shredded pork skin and the portion was quite large!
Its good but no one came back to check if I needed anything else. Meh not the kind of service I am accustomed too from a Vietnamese restaurant.
Ok, place for lunch. Food is not as good as some other places. Very attentive service.
To start we had Shrimp rice paper rolls, stuck to the plate.....seemed like they had been there a long time. The Wonton Soup had mostly fat and gristle. and was tasteless. Sweet and sour Chicken was very hard thin pieces of chicken.... was told that is how they cook it always. Shrimp fried rice was very good 7 shrimp nicely cooked. Waitress was excellent
Food & service was great. Servers checked in more than the standard expected time and were pretty friendly. My boyfriend and I ordered 5 dishes and put a big dent in all of them. Rice rolls were up to par. Im not big on them but he enjoyed them and would order again. First time I ever had to squid and it was awesome! Great flavours and wanted to eat all the sautéed veggies to. The beef pho with tripe taste like traditional Vietnamese pho and was satisfying. Definitely the go-to spot in Hamilton! Well be back.
The place look really nice, and food is good
I met the owner today. What a fantastic lady and chef. Wonderful food. Loved the service ambiance and made our evening.
Im never disappointed here. Its recently renovated. Food was equally good Parking: Can be difficult, but can find parking in the No Frills plaza. Kid-friendliness: Good kids options
Service is very very slow. Save yourself the headache and go to the QUEENSTON location. This is not the first time either. Order pick up is also very slow. I had to wait over 40 mins for an order at the Upper James location. Portion sizes are not as hearty as the Queenston location as well. Bottom line is that everything is better at the other location.
Decent pho. Definitely would come Back. Great staff and service.
Delicious Pho! Friendly service.
Great chicken and rice noodles soup
Very bad customer service!!!! We have to wait for 30 mins to be seated and 1 hr 30Mins. For our order that didnt come. People come and go around us and still we are not serve. We followed up 3 times and the same answer the chef are making it now .Imagine 1hr.30 mins for a simple order.
A lovely lunch. Clean and attractive seating space. We both had the lunch special and it was delicious. We also had wanton soup also delicious - which I should have passed on since the lunch special was loads (hindsight right ;) I had the fried banana and ice cream and wouldnt order it again. The staff were friendly and attentive without being in your face. Will definitely return. Parking: Lots and right in front of the doors. Wheelchair accessibility: While I didnt notice designated handicap spots but the parking was directly in front of the doors and level easy access. I didnt notice a handicapped washroom. I walk with a cane and was able to manage the doors but didnt look to see if there was a button for assistance.
Definitely one of the best pho restaurants in Hamilton. Taste phenomenal
22 my fav all the time.
Could not possibly be happier. The best Pho I ve had, great service, will be going back.
Great food. I havent had a bad experience here. Always on point.
Just called to order this afternoon, the server said she couldnt put soup in the small to go container because it is too hott which completely doesnt make sense because they have done this for me for many years. Also, pretty sure soup is not too hott for their styrofoam containers. I told her, If you arent able to do this, its ok, Ill just call Pho dau Bo and she responded with ok then. Thank you Although, I used to come here religiously. Never coming back here again.
It is a family restaurant. Pay at the cashier. Food are good and average.
Delicious and well priced. I ordered #45 . They also have the cutest teacups!
Great food and service. Atmosphere same as 10 years ago, and it wasnt great back then. For food and service it is top notch...for ambience try somewhere else.
Delicious food and great dining/date experience. Lunch specials on weekdays are good value, but its the rest of the menu that really shines. The grilled pork with vermicelli is really flavourful and topped nicely with green onion and peanuts. The spring rolls are large, crispy, and just extremely good with the fish vinegar or peanut sauce to dip. The yellow curry glass noodles have a very mild curry taste, but are also really good (green would be spicier). Cashew chicken has a nice sauce and lots of crunchy veggies. The large size portions are very generous and fairly priced, which is good because the food is tasty and youll want to eat more of it. The place is understaffed according to their sign at the cash, but I didnt notice as the servers did a great job and were all very friendly. Ill definitely be back to try the other items. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian menu (multiple options)
Ate here last night and they were super friendly and accommodating. We came in as a group of 13 and they were able to eat the table ready right away. We were celebrating a birthday so I had brought in a cake and they were nice to give us knives, forks and plates without us asking. The birthday celebrants also for a free avocado shake.
Clean fast service
Ive been eating here since I was 10 years old. I am 25 now. Ive brought dates, friends, family, Ive even come alone to dine for just myself; Thats how good this food is. The portions are perfect, not too filling, every bite allows you to truly soak in the authentic flavors. The Number 57 Is my Go-To Meal with Shrimp Spring Rolls as my side and I would recommend this to anyone who hasnt ever been. If you want to eat meals fit for a king at a fraction of the cost then Binh Minh is the undisputed decision bar none.
The service is excellent, food is delicious, prices are responsible
Renovations made this place look very nice. I am very glad to go here as a customer
My husband and I are regulars here now. I always get the vermicelli bowls and he gets the pho. Vermicelli protein portions are very good compared to other Vietnamese restaurants Ive been to. The place is always busy. Great food.
That was a great bowl of pho! Lots of meat and goodies in the Xl Dac biet.. just what I needed today.. thanks a lot guys !
