Weve been going to this restaurant for over 10 years, and its been consistent the entire time. The staff is great, theyre very friendly and they remember us. The food is what you would expect from a good Vietnamese restaurant.

Very bad service and the smell in the restaurant is very bad. I was waiting for my order for 20 min and they didn t even was working on it, they just forgot to put it though. I will never get back.

The beef noodles are delicious. A size S bowl is probably good for women. We ordered M, which is too big. I wanted to eat meat but the noodles were too thick. The coffee here is even more delicious than in Vietnam. If I come again, Ill probably order the same menu and the same coffee Sorry, forgot to take a photo of the noodles

Very simple, almost school cafeteria-like style, staff that barely paid any attention, and a strand of hair in my pho. Yeah, it wasnt the best. It could have felt cleaner and it couldve been cheaper for the amount of food they give. The main positive was that the meats didnt taste unbearably dry, which has been the case at some other Vietnamese restaurants Ive tried.

This is the best location in the city! I always order my bun bo hue and bon rieu from here and it s actually the best in the city. My order notes on Uber eats are never missed either!

Very extensive menu and has a lot of choices. The decor is very simple and the service is quick. Parking is limited. May need to discretely park at the adjacent plaza.

Our first time here, and our last! Unfortunately the worst Pho weve every had. We ordered Rare Beef with Well Done Brisket Noodle Soup and Shrimp and Pork Fresh Rolls. The soup was a disgusting bowl pf fat chuncks and very salty broth. NO MEAT AT ALL!!! The outside of the container of broth was greasy all over. Such a mess! We asked for cutlery for 2 people as we were at a worksite with no kitchen utilities or cutlery and they sent 1 chopstick only and not even single napkin!!! NONE! We will absolutely never eat from here again. The soup was completely inedible. YUK! Really a shame!

Food was way too dry and the beef plus the chicken wasn t cooked properly! Noodles were way too soft! Never coming back again!

I normally love to order from here but recently its been going downhill. Inconsistent flavor umoung items I order all the timeso quality as well as quantity is inconsistent. I wont be ordering from here anymore.

Service was friendly and efficient, soup was tasty! Spices and sugar all well balanced in the broth, very hearty and delicious. Noodle/meats/soup ratios are perfected here, I ordered medium #342 and got way more than expected. I will only stop here when back in town. Thank you for the meal!

Food tastes truly delicious, from the Pho to the steamed rice, meat and egg. Spring rolls amazing, crispy and with the right ratio of filling. This place is very much an institution !!!! Its fairly priced and has delicious juices like coconut and orange and mango.

A classic Hamilton spot for Vietnamese food. Ive been going to this spot since I was little (90s). The quality of food has stayed consistent after all these years. The staff are friendly and attentive. You cant go wrong with getting pho or their chicken/shrimp pad thai. Bathrooms are as clean as they can be. Pay at the front counter when youre done.

A long time favorite Pho restaurant of mine and my familys. Great service, delicious food. They always serve Jasmine tea and give a bowl of hot broth with the steamed rice dishes. Prices are reasonable as well.

We ordered lunch from them today and the fresh rolls with grilled chicken were delicious. As for the pad thai it was NOT good. Im pretty sure the sauce they used to make it is ketchup. It was just this sweet tomato sauce, the chicken was blend and it was just disappointing. We had to add the peanut sauce that comes with the fresh rolls to the pad thai to eat some of it... :(

this is my usual go to place for pho - i order off uber eats all the time. the amount of shock i felt when i poured my pho out into a clean bowl and saw MULTIPLE little bugs all throughout it? this is so disappointing as I love their food .i wish i was joking

The location is great here and with some parking lot. But the special pho is not really tasty. But service is OK.

The chairs are uncomfortable, tables are small and crowded, and the pork vermicelli I ordered was ~25% fat. Way too much fat. Theyre skimping on ingredients. There wasnt much meat to begin with, and of what was included, it was poor quality.

My mom, brother and I dined here once when my brother was living in downtown Hamilton. It was so dirty inside the restaurant and the server delivered poor customer service. The pho was cold and we had a terrible experience. We refrained from dining here again.

Update 16Jul2023 - a glass of water is now offered, rather than green tea. I dont think its due to the weather as I noticed this last winter. The food is invariably delicious. Staff can be great or just not on the ball depending on their day, but i have always found them pleasant. A no frills, sit and chat, comfortable type of place. They include green tea with every meal and bring it over before even taking an order.

Great delicious food. Check your takeout order before you leave to make sure your order is correct. Sept 2023- Dined in for brunch. Nice warm tea served prior to meal. Ordered rice meal with grilled pork/ chicken, eggs, pickled veggies. Everything on the platter was delicious. Expect to wait awhile since food is cooked upon order so you are guaranteed fresh ingredients. Highly recommended

A regular go-to. Not fancy, but good value, good food. Recently the vermicelli noodles got thicker.. a little unusual, but tastes all the same. Id prefer them thin again though. Lots of items on the menu. Sure to be something for most anyone. Parking: Free lot, but if its full you can street park on James.

Excellent place, the girl there kindly gave us permission to go to the bathroom, we were going to buy her a soft drink but we didnt have cash and she didnt have any international cards and she let us in without a problem even though we werent customers, but in the time I was there There I saw that many people were comfortable and many diners came and went, and I saw good treatment of people

The service was super bad and rude. The food had no flavor and they made a mistake in my dish, I told them and they ignored me (they got upset)

Service was great but other than that the food was awful. They have an award for best pad Thai on the wall....from 2009. Just take that down. The pad Thai was basically ketchup and rice noodles. It also said it was spicy and it was not. Is it cuz I was white that they replaced the sriracha with ketchup? Overly sweet and inedible. They didnt offer me a discount or anything to make it right. Charged me full price $20 for ketchup and noodles. Awful awful experience.

The food looks like it s been reused from a left over plate with how disgusting it is. When I called if it s normal to look like this and taste like this I was told that it s totally normal. Not sure who out of their right mind would order something like this? Food

I order $75 worth of food thru Uber. The food was never delivered. When I called the restaurant they told me is was no there problem and I needed to take it up with Uber. Then she told me she was busy and had no time to deal with me. Then she hung up on me.

They will not solve uber problems. Spent 75 dollars on an order, never received and they said it was not their problem. There customer service is horrible. Beware if you dont get your order they say too bad!! Wont order from them again. They are a rip off.

I love the food here but don t get the pad Thai. It was ketchup on rice noodles and the worst pad Thai I have ever had. The fresh shrimp rolls and pho were very good. They don t take credit cards, only debit or cash.

Had some delicious raw beef pho with my girlfriend a little close to closing; food was ready in minutes and the bubble tea I had was delicious as well. Staff was very kind and accommodating. A great spot for a cute date

I have been going to this place for over 20 years, and every time I have not been disappointed!

This resturant is Really Good! There Food seemed homemade, and was Fresh, and our waiter was really kind, and went and got Ketchup for my Autistic Child from a resturant next door! But the prices where really good compared to most restaurants in the city, and everything we ordered was enjoyable, and delicious.

The soup was large and filling. I liked their broth here, I would definitely recommend for Vietnamese food here

Best asian viet noddles

Excellent - Quick and reliable and always delicious. I alternate between the wonton soup with no egg noddle and vermicelli with grilled pork. Their spring rolls are a must have. Portions are good. Whenever Im not sure what to eat, I can always rely on having a fresh, tasty meal here!

The hot seafood soup with noodles was really tasty. The spring rolls were great also. Service was fast and friendly Good place to go when you want to eat lighter.

The food was fine, but nothing wow about it either. The restaurant was however not well organized, the owner(probably) said no credit card and there is also a sign on the on the door, however a bit later I saw another customer paid with credit card. The name of the restaurant is directly translates as Oxtail Noodle Soup, but the awards on the wall were for Ox Head Noodle Soup.... and none of them are in the menu. The bill was wrong, they charged too much, those two dishes on the table and a bottle of Heineken for $26.xx, anyway I came 6000km away, so I paid $30 and tip the rest, because they are also vietnamese. It is worth to try it once, but nothing wow that make me to detour, when I am around the area in the future. With that said 2/5 stars from here. Vegetarian options: In a vietnamese kitchen, there is always some options for vegetarian, this is also valid for this one. Parking: Convenience; it is right in front.

Ordered popcorn chicken, everyone at the table got their food, ate, started chit-chating waiting for my food to arrive. Everytime we asked they said its coming. Couldnt hold up my guests as hostage to get my food. After 45 minutes had to cancel the order and leave with the party. Very disappointed with the service. Will not visit this location again.

The staff at this location are super nice and friendly. Food also tasted good, the only downside was the portions. I ordered the Chicken and Beef plate which consisted of 80% rice and very small portions of chicken and beef. For a $20 Meal I felt they could of added more to the plate.

Such a wonderful dining experience with my daughter. 10/10 would recommend eating here. Veg options were great.

The beef noodle portion is huge. We ordered large. The soup base tastes good. The bbq pork is thinly sliced and is very savoury. We like the rich lemongrass taste. The papaya and durian smoothie can have more fruit flavor and be less sweet. The ladies serving us were very nice and friendly.

Ive always loved coming here for Pho!! Walk in, waddle out!! Would be a change up if they did a Pho challenge...just saying

Relaxing environment

If you are a fan of fried rice, try their com chien ca man salted fish fried rice. It tasted exactly what I have got back home in Vietnam. Should have taken a photo of the dish.

I wasnt impressed and neither was my companion. We had pho and rice with chicken. There wasnt anything special about the pho. The chicken was dry and hard. My companion is a cook. Im not a picky eater. The service was friendly, professional and timely.

Really tasty food. Authentic. as some of places I ate in Toronto.

I m sure for most people this place is fine or whatever. But I m gluten free. Don t come here if you re gluten free. They can t answer if there s soy sauce OR wheat flour in any of their dishes including the pad Thai. They told me I could order vegetarian or get the beef noodle soup. They then asked me if I can eat hoisin sauce or fish sauce, I said I don t know without reading the ingredients. They let me read the fish sauce label which was GF. But I had to read the sauce jar for them. They then said they thought I couldn t have hoisin sauce, but said the beef soup would be fine for me. So that s what I ordered. I got home, mixed the plain rice noodles with the beef (basically deli cut roast beef slices), and put it all in the soup (basically out-of-the-carton plain Campbell s chicken broth). I then tasted it. It tasted exactly as those three Ingredients mixed together would. I then recalled them asking me if I could have sirachi sauce right before I decided to order the beef soup and I said yes, I m sure a sirrachi sauce is GF. So I noticed there was a separate small sauce container in my take out bag. So I figured it must be the sirrachi sauce, they fully know my GF concerns. So I wrecklessly tossed the sauce into my bland soup to try and spice it up. But it didn t taste spicy at all. If anything it tasted like hoisin sauce. Which is not GF at all. I then took a closer look at the empty sauce container and then noticed the sauce was a dark brown. Same colour as hoisin sauce. I d already tried one spoonful before I put the sauce in. (Bland) and then one more mouthful after I put the sauce in (faint sweet hoisin taste). Had to dump the whole mess in the trash. I have no idea if there was wheat contamination in my meal or not but I certainly wasn t going to take any chances I d rather waste the $15.00. If you re not gluten free, and love beef noodle soup then please ignore this review.

Played the Take-Out wheel of food and lost big time. Wont be buying from here ever again. Ill stick to Pho soup instead. Ordered the 522 Beef Pad Thai, Got a container filled with noodles and I kid you not! 4 small pieces of beef. Checked my 511 Sir Fry chicken maybe it will be better , no luck. Chicken had no taste, it was just plain tasteless chicken. Ok, checked my 516 mushrooms chicken and.... MEH!. The only good think that I got from this order was the Large 101 spring rolls and 334 Beef Soup that my son ordered. Just letting you know as well saw a few roaches running along the pay area. Keep an eye out for those. How the hell are they claiming to be the best voted here, best voted there. Where is the board of Health when you need them?

Ate here today, veggie pho was really good. Clean tasting broth, a lot of veggies and tofu. The veggie spring rolls are also delicious, and they bring vegetarian dipping sauce which is amazing! Food came quickly and was nice and hot. Would recommend.

Delicious pho and friendly service! We were in the area after a day hiking in Hamilton and were all starrrrrrrving! Luckily there was no wait and got all our orders within 10 minutes (we were a table of 6). This is my first time having pho in Hamilton as I live in Markham and I was not disappointed! The broth was fresh, hot, and clean tasting, not too much MSG or too salty. The pho realllly hit the spot for me and when the broth is not good, Im really let down but the broth here is soliddddd! Also witnessed a rude customer giving the waiter a hard time, insisted that the waiter heard his order wrong but the waiter kept his cool and remained polite. Even apologized. I was very impressed as the waiter seemed veryyy young too.

After being treated to this gem by a neighbour, I must say they have amazing Pho beef soup! Pad Thai is amazing. Cant help it, but I keep going back! Wish they offered more payment options. Currently only debit and cash.

Second time weve ordered from here and both times theyve messed up the orders. Broth is super weak, definitely wont be ordering from here again
